Gotham's New Stray

Gotham Menagerie Menace AU: 1 | 2

-Lila swore off the ‘sausage tails’ hairstyle but by god she’s breaking that vow if only so she could use them to strangle Marinette.

-The past month has been an absolute shitshow circus. Somehow, LB managed to defeat Hawkmoth who turned out to be Gabriel (jfc, just when she thought the asshat couldn’t sink lower) but *gasp* CN has betrayed her! Worse, Adrien is gone!

-So far, no one, not even LB herself, specified what ‘gone’ meant. Was he missing? Was he dead?? Nobody knows and it’s killing them.

-Poor Marinette is naturally heartbroken & worried sick and oh, it’s so romantic how she’s holding onto hope. Just look at the shrine she made for Adrien!

-(Lila will bet her entire Venetian Mask collection that she isn’t the only one who wants to burn the embodiment of a stalker’s delusions & entitlement to the ground.)

-Chloe was throwing money at PIs but with the Hawkmoth revelation, Andre wanted nothing to do with Gabriel, much less his son.

-Felix doesn’t believe he’s dead. Call it stubbornness, call it desperation, call it faith: Adrien was tenacious long before he got the miraculous with an animal said to have 9 lives.

-More importantly, Adrien would Cataclysm himself before betraying Paris (yes, he & the others know bcz secret IDs are bloody overrated).

-Lila, Chloe, Zoe, Nino, Nath, Marc, Felix & Luka are determined to get to the bottom of this but where do they start?

-Their first lead comes in the form of Nathalie.

-Nathalie, who tells them the instructions she gave Adrien; who also shows them the peacock & butterfly miraculous.

-When Adrien Cataclysmed his sperm donor (damn it, all of them would’ve paid to see that), Nooroo barely hid inside his miraculous in time to avoid damage. Luckily, his dormant state made it easier for Nathalie to snatch him & Duusu before LB could.

-Although very suspicious, they begrudgingly accept her help. An adult would make a better scapegoat cover anyway.

-While the others prepare to leave, Felix reaches out to his Gotham pen pal.

F: I’m coming to Gotham. D: And others say my humor is lackluster. F: I’m not kidding. D: And I’m not laughing. D: You’re also not the type to do something without reason. F: Damn right I’m not. I need your help.

-Before leaving, Nathalie tells them one last thing: she’ll hold onto the peacock (she’ll be damned if she lets another kid suffer for her mistakes), but someone has to wield the butterfly. It’s not combat-orientated but being able to empower someone in a place like Gotham? A boon they can’t waste.

Nathalie: Which one of you will accept this responsibility? Chloe: .....just to clarify, Hawkbitch was wearing that like, 24/7? Nathalie: Yes. Chloe: I love Adrien but ew, no, not it. Others: Not it! Nathaniel: Not- damn it! Lila: Twas fate.

-They could’ve sworn they saw Nathalie smile.

Meanwhile in Gotham.......

-Adrien was adapting.

-He’s found a decent building to stay in (Gotham was full of abandoned buildings), got a job at a hole-in-the-wall café & even better, the city was a fresh start for his alter ego!

-Rather than mope around, he’s more determined than ever to continue being a hero. His dad being a villain means he has more to atone for & Gotham may be a slaughterhouse but she never dictated who could play savior.

-He’s established a routine. Whenever he doesn’t have to work at the café/ run errands, he’s prowling around as Stray. He wanders around, helping wherever & whenever needed; saving a stray cat from cruel assholes with nothing better to do, stopping a mugger, befriending other kids who have it rough, he goes where there's trouble which happens to be everywhere.

-(Lots of crime means lots of work that requires lots of focus! Lots of focus means lots of time & less to be spent lingering on many repressed issues/traumas waiting to bite his ass.)

-He becomes a bit of an urban legend. Slowly but surely, he’s welcomed into the community. It’s imperfect & dirty but the slot he’s carving for himself fits him so much better than Paris’s ever did.

-Back home (...? Dare he call it that?), he’s trying his best to take care of all the kwamis. Each were unique & there was never a moment’s peace but Adrien loved them. These tiny gods gave him companionship & guidance despite what his father’s done to one of their kin.

-They try to teach him everything Fu didn’t & he’s lenient with them. His territory has more paraphernalia for their interests than his. When Adrien’s gone, they use fractions of their powers to chase away any would-be-robbers, giving Adrien’s building the ‘haunted’ status.

-Whenever someone he saves offers compensation, Stray usually asks for some food to feed himself & the kwamis.

-(They probably don’t mind giving food bcz there’s the saying abt feeding strays. But hey, him hanging around means extra protection. It’s a fair price to pay.)

-One night, while feeding a bunch of strays, he gets a visitor.

-Catwoman (he's totally not fanboying, he is.)

-Stray is surprised & a bit scared bcz shit, what if he’s done something wrong? Was he trespassing? Was he unintentionally mistreating the strays?!?!

-Catwoman was simply curious. She heard rumors of a ‘Stray’ lingering around the Narrows. She half-expected the mini menace to be some hotshot punk in over his head but-

-She knows.

-She knows how to spot the signs of abuse with a certainty as familiar as it is painful. She’s seen them all: abused animals, abused women, abused children, abused partners.

-The kit covered it with puns, cockiness & charisma but he wasn’t fooling her.

-It wasn’t just the matching theme. They clicked & before he knew it, they were sitting together on rooftops every night to feed & pamper the strays. Some nights, they sat in companionable silence; others they gossiped & bantered each other into a friendly spar.

-Maybe it was the loneliness & lack of human companionship but Stray found himself looking forward to their nightly hang outs.

-Selina knew it wasn’t her place to take him in like Batman would've; but she tried to teach him some tips before the city’s cruelty could. The first time he appears with a cut on his cheek & a split lip, she doesn’t hesitate to treat his wounds.

-Stray wouldn’t call her a maternal figure (she's neither Emilie nor Nathalie), but he comes to view her as a reliable cool older sister/aunt figure. She was nothing like LB. They were parallel lines: heading in the same direction but never intersecting.

-He’s glad that he’s made a friend.

-But some nights, when he thinks the kwamis are asleep, all of them can hear him cry for the friends & lover he never got to bid goodbye to.

He spots him from afar and his feet act before he realizes it. There is a hug, a warmth and a squeeze that nearly begets tears.

“Lukas, you're alright.”

He was a little dusted, chips in his armor and hair rustled but he was here, standing and breathing.

“Where were you caught? It was…so odd.”

Matthias hadn't let go, he didn’t want to let Lukas see any more of the worries on his face.

“Getting so used to a peaceful environment…I usually don't ever eat in the mess hall after hours, it's better to be in one's room but…such little changes make all the difference in moments like these.”

“I’m glad you're safe.”

Finally be pulled back and hands rested on the other’s shoulders.

“Were you able to find your friends?”

It must be some kind of odd joke that not once but twice has Lukas been forced to flee a stronghold that was a symbol to its respective nation, only to find himself in the cramped safety of an underground structure after it falls to outside forces. Though damp, this place at least does not stink of death walking the halls as it did back in the catacombs of Zofia.

There are many with him, having arrived one way or another to this fortification. Some in worse shape than others, but all reeling from the shock of what's just transpired. Some help those who are more injured, others try to gather their bearings and more still look out for friends or family.

Lukas has not seen them, has not heard them, has been staring blankly at a dirt-streaked wall for far too long.

He should be helping. Giving what aid he can to the wounded or helping to figure out their next best move.

But he cannot stop thinking of that blinding light, the utter destruction it inflicted. Nor the fact that he had not seen hide nor hair of his comrades in the chaos before the explosion, and had yet to see any hint of them here among this parcel of survivors either.

So the sudden approach of another goes entirely unnoticed, until there's a body colliding with his and arms pulling him into a crushing embrace.

Lukas blinks at the physical contact, the murmured words of a now familiar voice.

Matthias. Matthias was alive, and here.

"...You got out safely. I'm...relieved." His words come back to him slowly, but he is quick to rouse now that he's been shaken from his own thoughts. "Are you injured?" he follows up with, not breaking the embrace until he feels Matthias is ready to do so himself -- though it does make it near impossible to look the man over for wounds.

"Just south of the bridge; the northern courtyard, I believe...?" Lukas responds, thinking back to the utterly jumbled pathways that he'd taken to end up where he had been with his small group. "Ah, so that's where you were...Were you able to find your son in the retreat? I...I am afraid I did not see him, I'm sorry." He had promised that he would look out for the boy, and he had failed in that promise.

It took him a while to return the embrace, but now that he's coming back to himself, Lukas makes sure the gesture is firm before Matthias pulls away. Less so for himself, and more for the other man's assurance.

"No. I did not see them in the assault, nor have I found them here," Lukas replies stiffly, a phantom grip at his throat making him avert his gaze for the briefest of moments. "I cannot say I believe in your Goddess, or that my friends would be under her protection, but all I can do now is hope they found their way to one another and trust that they got each other out to safety. This isn't the first time they've had to make such a retreat, and I know they are strong and capable of making it -- on their own, or with other survivors."

He does however, reach up to rest a steady hand on Matthias' arm. "I did meet up with Lambert during the attack. He is...physically well, but I'm sure he could do with some of your steadying presence, Matthias."

mcsm fandom criticism lets go!! anyways i hate the amount of people who tend to focus on a character’s appearance despite their backstory and stuff. This applies to basically every fandom, but I’m directing this confession to the mcsm fandom in particular. This mostly happens between Lukas, Jesse, and Petra. Very basic answers, but this *is* the mcsm fandom.

I mean it’s 100% okay to like a character with a big reason being for their looks. I like characters because of the depth of their story, but obviously it’s not the same for everyone, so I shouldn’t criticize people for that reason. It’s only when people devote that character to their appearance only and pay absolutely no attention to the things they go through, the character development, etc. And it is HORRIBLE in the mcsm fandom.

Jesse obviously has gone through terrible stuff, such as losing their best friend and suffering with survivors guilt because of it, having the pressure of the world’s fate in their hands twice, experiencing countless amounts of near-death experiences, all of those things make up their character. Yet for some reason, majority of the jesse fans I meet can’t name another reason for liking them except their looks. Mostly on tiktok though, so I hope it’s better on tumblr lol

Although the writers definitely overlooked Lukas’ story and stuff, he still has character to him. Like how he was first introduced as a ‘rival’ and became one of Jesse’s closest friends in the end. I love talking about his relationship with the ocelots, and mostly how they were all he had and left them in the end even though he risked his LIFE to retrieve them back from wherever they were. His character is interesting imo, but people tend to overlook it because the writers did too. And yeah he’s the main victim of being liked only for his appearance and basically nothing else. I’ve talked wayyyy more about his character than I did just now, but my brain is kinda fried rn lmao. Also one reason people like him so much is because of jesskas/lukesse

I can’t say much about Petra, since there are a lot of people who appreciate her for her whole character arc in s2 while the other side is just down bad for her. But something that comes along with majority of the fandom loving her is being quick to disagree with any criticism directed towards her, and also quick to discard any other character that was hurt (radar jesse lukas idk) by her. I just wanna say that she wasnt always the victim in everything, and people have a reason to defend the side that goes against Petra (kinda went offtopic WHOOPS). But for the side of the fandom that only admires her for her appearance, completely dismisses her entire character arc, comments “I NEED HER SO BAD.” on a Petra angst edit (happened to me once sooo..), you are insufferable and I have no idea how you discard a ‘complex’ character like her.

for the side of the fandom that does spend their time analyzing the characters and appreciates them for their story along with their appearance (because i do that too lololol), you guys r cool and i love reading your analysis’ 🙏

succession s4 e7 recap: 🍆🍆🇺🇸

this week's recap is nothing short of a trauma dump from this here political operative.

never in my life did i think i would relate to nate, but there truly is nothing scarier than election eve....

we start the episode off the disguisting brothers, preparing for a long night at ATN.

tom has seemingly still not slept and greggory peggory is still recovering from his night on the town with one lukas mattson.

a few levels up, team shiv and team roman are also gearing up for a long night.

other than the distinct lack of booze, i'd say the vibes are pretty realistic.

roman with mencken was always my least favorite version of roman. this episode is no exception.

in fact, i think i'm demonstratively anti-roman in this episode.

and gerri is nowhere to be seen:((

shiv is worried about mattson letting greg in on their little plans.

as she should. rule number 1: don't talk to greg.

rava has to deal with kendall yet again.

this woman is a saint. someone save her.

ken is still on his "everything i do, i do for my children"-shit. you know, everything except ensure that a fascist doesn't make it to the white house.

honestly, this episode is really, very good.

i never wanna watch it again.

mencken bonds with roman over the fact that they both hate the word 'narrative'.

he is prepared to lose and for a millisecond i was hopeful.

tom and greg do coke behind a whiteboard.

this is the right wing politics that i know. 10/10 great representation.

however, we all know how tom is with drugs. he does them all wrong and feels wrong and immediately begins spiraling.

my body is very bad at many things, such as producing enough serotonin, but years of campaigning means my stomach has superpowers.

gas station sushi? no problem. leftover pizza from the night before? don't feel a thing.

i'm stronger than tom, is what i'm saying. activists just do it better, i guess.

connor represents all politicians, all the time:

now, i respect all the politicians i work for loads, but there is just something inherently narcisstic about having six people cater to your needs constantly.

and most of them are unfortunately not as funny as connor.

tom is being a little shit.

with no moves left, shiv tells him she's pregnant.

it's not entirely unreasonable of tom to ask if it's even true, or if it's a tactic telling him that, but he's still a little shit for doing it.

i hate hate hate that we only got like four minutes of shiv girlbossing before she was back to doing everything wrong again... i support women's wrongs, but c'mon:(((

connor is by far my favorite part of this episode.

i just think they are neat<3

ken has his sister's back and i could rewatch those few seconds over and over and over.

fuck tom and his stupid touch screens.

and fuck roman too.

basically, there's a fire in wisconsin and ballots have been lost. historically, those votes have been overwhelmingly democrat, but roman wants them to call wisconsin for mencken, disregarding the burnt up ballots altogether.

he sends his talking points to ravenhead, who goes on an on-air rant, and the rest of the sibs take to the floor at ATN as well, much to greg's dismay.

shiv tries to threaten greg so that he doesn't tell her brothers about her plans with mattson.

as much as i love shiv threatening to pull greg's organs out his asshole, it isn't very effective.

there's an incident with wasabi.

i question a lot of decisions made in this episode, but perhaps most curious of all is the choice of lemon flavored la croix??????

i would laugh more at this if i wasn't so ridden with anxiety.

connor lands an embassadorship in the new mencken administration.

willa is skeptical of the fascism etc but still....

connor makes a speech. i love it when he does that.

we get a brief moment with the old guard, gerri not included.

we get basically no karl:/

instead we get roman being an asshole scene after scene after scene.

pls stop i can't take it anymore!!!

kendall is torn between team shiv and team roman, presumably because he can't decide what outcome will be most helpful to his own ambitions.

oh and there's the whole "my daughter might be in danger if mencken wins", but that seems to be secondary.

because he was vulnerable with shiv for a minute, he feels even more betrayed when he learns about her plans with mattson.

from greg of course. fucking greg.

the hugging era is truly a thing of the past.

i wish i had more jokes, but honestly this episode just made me very, very sad.

roman, ken and tom decide to call the election for mencken, despite shiv's desperate attempts.

and i just have to say, i know shiv isn't altruistic. i know she thinks a jimenez win will benefit her more than mencken will. i knooooow.

it's still very sad.

they call it for mencken.

me every single election night.

roman is very much in the camp of nothing fucking matters, and i guess he is right in a way.

it won't really matter to him or kendall.

it will for sophie, though. it will for jess.

ouffff....

roman now has a direct line into the west wing.

that being said, i don't think he's a very reliable partner for them.

in the end, mencken will do what is good for mencken. the same goes for roman.

i think ken might end up regretting this whole endeavor very, very soon.

tom becomes the face of this political scandal.

can't wait for it to bite him in the arse.

shiv makes a final rallying cry to mattson, but it somehow feels hollow to me.

this shiv girlie is starting to lose hope.

anyway, rava doesn't want ken to come over to see the kids because he prioritized his own project of becoming his dad over keeping them safe.

i guess i agree with him that the poison does, perhaps, drip down.

what a depressing episode!

i'm glad we are getting something to celebrate next week - logan's funeral wiii !!

Remaking Miraculous Ladybug (Season 2)

Welcome back! I'm continuing with my remake of Miraculous Ladybug. I was a bit more liberal with my changes for this season, so I hope you enjoy it. Just like last time: I have omitted some episodes that I considered filler, and forgive me if I forgot any important details.

The Collector--When Marinette visits Master Fu, it's retconned that there are only 8 miraculous (the main 7 and the snake miraculous), and that Fu lost the fox miraculous--along with the butterfly and peacock miraculous--when leaving the temple. He apologizes that this costed Marinette her relationship, not to mention put the world in danger. When Gabriel finds out Adrien took his book, he's more sympathetic, but tells him he was using it as inspiration for a world culture fashion line, and grounds Adrien (though doesn't prevent him from going to school). Marinette also tells Master Fu that she thinks she knows the owner of the book, but doesn't say who, and Master Fu trusts her to handle it, afraid to leave the shop for long and risk losing more miraculous. While Gabriel has a breakdown, Nathalie deters Adrien's suspicions by lying to him and telling him that the book was actually a gift from Emilie and Gabriel didn't want Adrien to feel guilty (but he does). Ladybug tells Chat Noir about Master Fu, but not about the miraculous book linking Gabriel to being Hawk Moth. When Marinette returns the book to Gabriel, he offers to read it together with Adrien, but Adrien, wanting to avoid seeming too interested and giving away his secret identity, says he doesn't want to ruin it, making Gabriel feel as though he was too hard on Adrien and tells him that no book is more important than him. In the end, both Ladybug and Chat Noir meet with Master Fu, who tells them about the ultimate power attained from combining the cat and Ladybug Miraculous, taking from his speech in "Robotsus."

2. Prime Queen--(I'm actually renaming this "Prime Time" to avoid confusion with the Queen's Battle.) Several months have passed between this episode and "The Collector." Tikki actually advises Marinette on how to carefully maneuver using the press as a platform to promote heroism rather than trying to avoid it. Rather than simply calling to be annoying, Chloe asks questions about who Ladybug and Chat Noir are, making the ratings skyrocket, but they threaten to leave the show if Chloe isn't disconnected. When the question of being a couple comes up, Ladybug blurts out that she somewhat recently got out of a messy relationship (which Marinette never really had a conversation with Nathaniel about), surprising everyone--including Chat Noir. As Nadja puts more pressure on them, Ladybug leaves, and Chat Noir goes with her out of solidarity. Chat Noir attempts to cheer her up by telling her that he (actually Adrien) has had a tricky time with relationships, as girls like his image but don't know him, making him pause as he comments how someone he knew (Sabrina) liked him genuinely and knew him better than most. Alya's interview with Ladybug and Chat Noir is much more comfortable--though they know she's only trying to find out their actual identities.

3. Glaciator--MUCH more angst given that Marinette and Nathaniel have broken up, and Gabriel and Adrien actually have dinner together, though Gabriel's obsession makes him bad company, as he only makes small talk. He allows for Adrien to have friends over, which usually involves Nino, Chloe, or (surprisingly) Luka, given the latter's star status and musical skills, allowing for him and Adrien to bond over music. Along with this, Chat Noir is being more considerate, given learning about Ladybug's messy breakup in "Prime Time." She knows he likes her, and tells her that even without the breakup, she's still sorting out her feelings for someone else (Adrien). This makes Adrien decide that perhaps he should let his crush for Ladybug go.

4. Despair Bear--Occurs on Chloe's birthday, and introduces Zoe and Audrey--who at this point are just visiting. At this point, she's still lying, and the others steer clear of her. Chloe's relationship with Sabrina is iffy given her crush on Adrien, and because of Lila's illusions, she believes Adrien actually unfriended her, and jumps to the conclusion that they're actually dating, despite both of them trying to convince her of their friendship and that they're not together. Chloe attempts to make Sabrina and Adrien jealous by taking interest in Luka, who she finds cute, but he rebuffs her for her negative attitude. Embarassed that her schoolmates aren't showing their adoration of her in front of her family, she decides trying to be nice in order to get their praise, which works. Adrien and Marinette bond slowly, and Marinette notices that Chloe being busy being nice (as well as her attraction to Luka and Kim's attraction to her) could potentially lead to lesser akumatizations. Armand doesn't embarass Chloe, instead being akumatized by Audrey's criticisms that he's coddling her.

5. Troublemaker--Mostly the same, except Marinette isn't a stalker (with all of Adrien's pictures), but she does have ONE picture of Adrien with a heart one it. More of Juleka and Luka's childhood explained, perhaps stating that their parents broke up due to his career, and that he's learning to be a better father.

6. Riposte--Kagami is introduced and is less arrogant and forceful, with a formal introduction between her and Adrien thanks to their parents being friends and wanting them to be great friends as well (possibly more). However, after a disagreement about a prior fencing tournament, Kagami is annoyed by her mother and fights Adrien with less friendliness than she showed him initially. However, it never turns unprofessional, so they never leave the fencing area. They both go to Adrien's house, though Kagami has anxiety about facing her mother. Seeing how neglectful and ocassionally strict Gabriel is towards Adrien, Kagami is bewildered and enraged by how upbeat Adrien is--which she deems to be a coping mechanism for his own disappointment, believing that he's secretly as frustrated as her. Subtly, he compliments Adrien in a way that looks down on Kagami, allowing her to be akumatized. As Riposte, she is angry and vengeful towards Adrien, but honorable towards him, not focused on collateral damage and deeming him a reward for when she gets the ladybug and cat miraculous. Adrien and Kagami bond, eventually going on a date at their parents' behest. Tomoe decides that even if Kagami makes mistakes, her relationship with Adrien (who is seen as perfect) will provide her with enough of a shadow to hide her flaws.

7. Befana--Pretty much the same, but Nathaniel and Marinette have a cathartic talk about their relationship ending, and though he believes her claims that she wasn't cheating on him, she knows he has feelings for Adrien, and warns her that he's in high demand.

8. Gorizilla--Very similar, but takes cues from "Frightingale" with Gabriel's concerns that Adrien is Chat Noir, and that Adrien shares more of his past, though with Kagami, Luka, and Nino, as they've become something of a quartet; Chloe was invited too, but her difficulty hiding her jealousy makes her leave, though she laments that she knows what's it like to have your mother leave you.

9. Sapotis--Alya's investigation of Ladybug is a bit more aggressive, still having mixed feelings about her presence. Gabriel calls upon Lila, who uses the Fox Miraculous to make Alya think the the Sapotis is messing with her rather than her sisters, infuriating her and allowing Hawk Moth to turn her into an upgraded Lady WiFi to find out who they are, while battling Ladybug and Chat Noir. Deciding that the Sapotis clones AND Lady WiFi are too much to handle and having used her lucky charm, Ladybug and Chat Noir are led to Alya's younger siblings, uncertain of how they'll help. They are unable to defeat Volpina and Lady WiFi, but when Lady WiFi believes Volpina's illusions are real and could harm her siblings, she breaks free of Hawk Moth's akumatization, surprising Lila long enough for Chat Noir to break her flute, which will only rematerialize when she detransforms and transforms again later. She retreats, and Hawk Moth is unsurprised that Alya's grief broke his power over her, as his own grief is what drives him. From here on, Alya is more accepting of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

10. Zombizou--It's revealed Ms. Bustier has a wife and is pregnant. Chloe isn't as mean as usual, giving that she's trying to keep everyone liking her, but she's become passive-aggressive, insulting the class' gift rather than sabotaging it. Ms. Bustier also gives Marinette more complex advice; rather than simply forgiving Chloe or ignoring her actions, hold her accountable for her actions, but do it with humility, rather than being spiteful or making fun of her. It's also revealed that Chloe has issues with Ms. Bustier because she is difficult to understand, with Chloe associating Audrey with the ideal (rather, only) mother figure in her mind. While Chloe refuses to acknowledge her hurtful remarks to the class, Adrien, Sabrina, and Luka's disappointment leads her to want to apologize genuinely, as she's begun to open her heart to others and feels guilty for letting them down. Everything else is the same.

11. Captain Hardrock--While setting up for to Kitten Section perform at the festival, Marinette comments to Nathaniel that she knows what he means now about Adrien being in high demand, as he and Kagami have grown closer lately. Nathaniel mentions that it's not just Kagami he was talking about, and that Marinette would be surprised to learn that Adrien has another school admirer. When Adrien is performing for Gabriel, he mentions that he's improved, and wonders if there was something to him having prestigious friends (Kagami and Luka). He asks Adrien about his romantic interests, and gives him a talk about romance, though it's bittersweet as he thinks about Emilie, leading Nathalie to chime in. When he and Kagami arrive to help with the festival, Kagami becomes a wallflower, having been rattled by a conversation with her mother earlier and feeling social anxiety. While Marinette attempts to comfort her, Adrien thanks Luka for helping him with his music, and Luka offers to teach him how to play the guitar and train his vocals, but Adrien instead wants to learn how to songwrite, so he and Luka write a love song for KS to perform at the festival. Chloe and Sabrina also attend the festival--though Chloe doesn't stay long since close quarters at concerts doesn't sit well with her if the people who sit with her aren't wearing expensive clothes. It's also revealed that she pays for Sabrina's wardrobe. BTW, I'm imagining the Kitty Section song is a soft rock sound, inspired by Demi Lovato, Avril Lavigne, Panic at the Disco! and Rina Sawayama. It's called "Heartbreaker." (Maybe I should just write the lyrics for fun!)

12. Frozer--Mostly the same, except the love square isn't a factor; instead, Marinette, Luka, and Adrien work together to help Kagami come out of her shell. Nino was invited, but he declined because he was concerned that his energy would be too much for Kagami right now. Kagami and Adrien grow closer, though Kagami is still perplexed by Adrien's upbeat attitude despite his circumstances with Gabriel, and we see a moment where Nathalie praises Gabriel for not constricting Adrien despite their shared grief.

13. Style Queen (Queen's Battle-Part 1)--Mostly the same, but Zoe returns with Audrey, and Gabriel criticizes Audrey secretly because of how she mistreats her family. Along with this, Marinette is the one who turns to gold rather than Adrien, and he decides to give Chloe the bee Miraculous instead of Alya, given the progress she's made and still concerned it'd only fuel Alya's miraculous curiosity. Chat Noir also forgets to take the bee miraculous back.

14. Queen Wasp (Queen's Battle-Part 2)--Chloe shares her secret with Sabrina, who profusely takes note of everything Pollen says. She also convinces Chloe not to share her identity, noting that it could make her look bad, given that Queen Bee isn't a perfect hero, having blundered a little in the previous episode. She also narrowly avoids Chloe exposing herself to impress Audrey and Zoe. Zoe, however, finds out Chloe's secret and becomes Vespiria, revealing herself to be an insecure girl trying to please her mother. Chloe, however, knew someone was spying on her and lied about how her powers work, resulting in Vespiria accidentally using her venom on an innocent civilian and exposing her. Audrey claims she's unexceptional, and Ladybug and Chat Noir defeat this new Queen Wasp. Gabriel is also seen talking to his sister-in-law about how he's afraid to let go of Emilie.

15. Reverser--Almost the same, but more emphasis on Nathaniel and Marinette being friends after the breakup, and it's revealed that he and Marc have been hanging out for a while and Marc wants to be official, but fears rejection after learning about Adrien's complicated love life and worries Marinette may try to go back to Nathaniel.

16. Anansi--Very similar, but Master Fu reveals that Nino will now be the permanent holder of the turtle miraculous, with Fu now simply being the miraculous box holder and a wellspring of information, telling Wayzz to give all this information to Nino, as well as Ladybug and Chat Noir.

17. Catalyst (Heroes' Day-Part 1)--Some things are the same, but Marinette brings a tart to share instead of macarons (I feel like she's done that before), Kagami takes Mandarin and fencing lessons with Adrien, Lila's lies are harder to discern due to her miraculous, and Chloe reveals that her father is overseeing the renovation of run-down parts of Paris (can the mayor do that?), and Gabriel gives Nathalie the butterfly miraculous, becoming Hespideres (taken from my AU; check out that post) and turning Gabriel into Tunnel Vision, a villain able to leave anyone he touches to only feel their current emotion. This way, once Hesperides akumatizes others, Tunnel Vision's ability seals the akuma and makes it impossible to extract it from an item. Lila also assists in causing damage as Volpina.

18. Mayura (Heroes' Day-Part 2)--Almost the same, with distinct differences: Queen Bee and Carapace battle Volpina and retrieve her miraculous before joining Ladybug and Chat Noir against Tunnel Vision. Desperate to win, Nathalie combines the butterfly and peacock miraculous to become Aglais Io (the peacock butterfly), but the combination of using the two when the peacock Miraculous is broken is too much for her, only giving Tunnel Vision enough time to escape before being deakumatized and avoiding questioning. Chloe sees him, however, but pays no mind to it since they won. Here, Adrien and Kagami kiss, much to Marinette's sadness.

I need to vent while I cry so au that I might delete later. This is also very much and will always be a first draft.

Tw for homophobia and transphobia

So, basically the entire akuma class is queer. Adrien is nonbinary, Ivan is trans, Marinette is god knows what, I feel like the rest is obvious. Mylene is the only cishet there but she will quicker turn to violence then let anyone talk shit to her friends or boyfriend.

Ms B is the most supportive adult in some of their livess so they confide in her when they're trying to figure something out. Andre (the mayor) somehow catches wind of something queer in his daughter's class and turns out he is a little homophobic, but whats worse is audrey is mega homophobic. She makes him do law things and make it mandatory for teachers to report kids who are openly out.

Chloe confronts them but they shut her down and honestly scare her. They don't find out about Chloe but they do find out about Zoe. Someone reported her at school and Andre thought isolation with fix any problem so he went full Agreste and made her stay in a room as far from chloe as possible. This situation is what causes Chloe to actually offer a sister relationship with zoe. She sat outside Zoe's door, unallowed in, and talked for hours, sliding homework under the door and working together. Chloe needs to ask for advice but Ms B is telling the class she had to resign for everyone's sake. The temp teacher is some dude and the first thing he does is introduce himself then his personal beliefs. Those beliefs are better left unsaid and the class kinda gets loud for a sec and he threatens them and they get a little louder, thinking there is power in numbers but he shuts them down, saying he will report only one of them if the rest got quiet. At random he picks chloe. He threatened to slowly make his way through the class until no one was left. Before anyone argued he had already made a note.

The next thing you know, chloe is getting yelled at and her parents are saying less than kind things. For some reason, they're like, isolation isn't working and then send chloe to conservation camp. This is now chloleka. Juleka, Luka, Zoe, and Rose plan a heist when they find out from Zoe who finally snuck out, and get some of their classmates to help. 'Girl'squad sleepovers at alya's and Marinette's, safety in numbers and all that, plus they know alya and Marinette's parents are safe. Heist goes down, chloleka have a choni kiss and escape. Everything goes smooth except someone tried to stab Luka and Zoe stopped them, taking some damage in the process. They skedadle, getting home safe. The class is very much in a safety in numbers mindset. Gabriel literally just doesn't care so a lot of sleep overs happen and Adrien's. They just try to get through the school year, there are some close calls, chloe and zoe don't return to school, Gabe finds out Adrien is nonbinary and just starts a new fashion line that plays on both feminine and masculine traits.

And yeah, I feel better now so they all live happily every after, chloe and zoe get online education, courtesy of Gabe. They all graduate and move into one big apartment complex and live happily ever after, finding family in the familiar and hope where there was none. Also luka and zoe bonded after the heist and idk if that makes sense as a relationship but my limited knowledge of current ml allows me to say they do.

Happy pride month. Screw anyone who preaches hate. I love you. No matter who you are or what you've done there is a place in my heart with over a thousand capacities to fill for anyone who needs it.

Life with a villain.

Once Kim's fever had gone down, they and Lukas had a long talk. Lukas learned that, apparently, Kim had come to Boreas in the hopes to sneak over the mountain into the neighboring country. But they got mugged on the way and got stuck in the city since the roads down had snowed over.

When asked why they wanted to go to the country in the first place, Kim shrugged and said they just wanted to, that they had no goal other than to just travel. In hindsight, Kim felt stupid for saying it, but it was the truth.

Days turned into weeks. In the beginning, Emma kept visiting almost every day to make sure that Kim was healing well, then the visits slowly got further and further apart, until she and her family moved away to Nizorro.

There was no more blizzard, but neither Lukas nor Kim wanted to bring that up.

Lukas feared that Kim would want to leave out into the cold again, and Kim feared that Lukas would remember the weather had gotten better and send them away. So the two kept on going in this strange limbo of ‘just staying for a few more days’ until the last part of winter had left them, and they both had forgotten about it all together.

It did not take long before Lukas saw some improvements in Kim. As they slowly got healthier and more used to living with a villain, it was strange to see them go from so small and silent, to becoming more and more outspoken by the day. However, that didn’t mean everything went silky smooth.

Lukas learned quickly that a 12-year-old needs entertainment when, after leaving for a few hours to meet with a client, he came home to Kim having kindly sorted all of Lukas’s books by color, much to his annoyance and inconvenience… but also amusement.

They would also steal his tools from time to time, and hide them around the base. Their favorite spot seemed to be in the kitchen since, when he would look there, they could ask him to make them a cup of hot chocolate resulting in them spending a good amount of time chatting over chocolate and cookies.

Slowly, Lukas got to learn more about Kim. They were both surprised to learn that they were both born, and grew up, in neighboring countries. Although they technically didn’t have the same mother tongue, their languages were still close enough that they could understand each other. Kim seemed to open up a lot more after that.

He learned that Kim used to live with their grandma in their homeland of The Nortusen Isles while their parents worked in Nizorro. At seven, they moved to Nizorro, then Kim’s Grandma got ill and later passed away not long after.

But Kim still didn't tell Lukas why they had run away from their parents.

Until a chilly evening in late autumn, over a year later. Kim was now 14 years old, and was left home alone.

…

Lukas had left only an hour prior, having planned to rob a local ski lifts to get a needed part for one of his projects.

So, Kim was sitting by one of the tables doing the homework Lukas had given them.

‘Just because I’m a villain, that doesn’t mean I’ll let you get away with no schooling,’ Lukas’s words kept repeating themselves in Kim’s brain as they pouted at the still unsolved math problem.

‘Yes, I get it! But why so much MATH?!’ they thought. “Just three more! Then, I can have a cup of hot chocolate!” they mumbled to themself.

Kim was lost in thought when they were startled by a sudden loud click as the door was unlocked.

‘That’s not Lukas!’ they thought and began looking for a hiding spot. ‘He never unlocks the door! He goes through the shadows!’ Lukas did not have the budget for a grand security system, but he was smart enough to have some makeshift security measures in place. Kim was bolting to the small hidden room by the stairs, just in time for a stranger to enter the room.

“Wow, that idiot Shadows!” the thief cackled. “Got to be the worst security system I've ever seen, this has got to be the easiest break-in in my life!” he mocked as he began rummaging around the base.

Kim’s heart was rising against their chest. They could hear the sound of stuff breaking as the thief tried to find something valuable.

‘How dare they,’ Kim thought with an angry huff. But instantly regretted it as the thief turned to look in their direction.

“WHO’S THERE?!” they snapped.

‘Oh no, I said that out loud!’ they felt the cold sliver up their spine, as the thief saw the small door handle.

“I know you’re in there! Get out here!” they said, moving closer to the door.

Kim took the best fighting stance they could in the small space. They might be just half the thief’s size, and Lukas was so far away, but they were not going down just like that, they knew they could take him.

‘5 meters away, if they just got a bit closer,’ Kim thought as the thief kept talking.

“You don’t want to make me mad,” they said.

‘4 meters.’

“Let's just have a nice chat...”

‘3 meters!’

“Why are you hiding in there?”

‘2 meters!’

“You don’t know if I’m going to hurt you...”

“ONE!”

To say the thief was shocked would be an understatement, as Kim bolted full force forward and punched hard on what they had calculated to be their weak spot in those few seconds, causing the intruder to fall back in pain.

But Kim did not stop, and kept up the punches and kicks faster than what the thief was able to keep up with, until he found an opening and kicked Kim as hard as he could, causing them to fall back on the ground.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?” the thief snarled as he got over where Kim lay.

Kim got back up on their feet, and was about to attack again when Shadows grabbed the thief from behind.

“That is my kid,” he yelled and threw the thief to the ground. “Get lost. If I ever see you here again, I’ll make you regret it.”

At that, the thief fled almost in tears.

Just as the door closed, Lukas stooped down and wrapped his arms around Kim, his face looked like he was at the break of tears.

“Kim, I’m so sorry…” he whispered. “I should have been more careful.” The hug lasted for quite some time.

"But I… I should've been able to stop them!" Kim protested, upset with themself.

Lukas looked down at them with concern. No anger or disappointment or annoyance was in his eyes when he replied. "Oh, Kim, no. That's not your job, you're just a kid!"

But Kim seemed to disagree. "No, I should've been able to win! It was just a thief, and he didn't even have powers! I…" Kim paused, as their breathing grew faster, they were wondering if they should tell Lukas before making up their mind. "I was a hero sidekick. I have training! I should've beaten them easily! If I just–"

"– Kim, stop. I need you to breathe." Lukas said calmly, leading them onto the couch.

Kim was quickly bundled up in a plethora of blankets which Lukas hoped would calm them down.

After his child's breathing returned to normal, he began, "Kim. I don't care if you were a hero sidekick. You were, and still are, a child. Anyone who expects you to be able to fight off a thief at 14 is being unreasonable."

Kim sniffled. "Yeah, but, like… I was taught how to – wait… you don't care that I was a hero sidekick?"

Lukas looked over from the chair across from them; as much as he wanted to cuddle the sadness away, he knew Kim needed a bit of space right now.

"Listen. I'm going to let you breathe for a moment while I secure the base. I need to talk to you, but you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to." Lukas wanted to have this conversation now, but he'd already waited longer than he should have to make sure everything was safe. Kim was, of course, his priority, but having a second attack happen wouldn't help their nerves.

Truth.

Lukas re-entered the room, having finally secured the area. The thief was long gone, but Lukas knew that it was only a matter of time before the rumors would start to spread that there was a child here. Soon, it wouldn't be safe for Kim to be here anymore.

But he could think about all that later.

“I know that you were a hero sidekick… I’ve known for a while now.”

“WHAT! How?”

“Well, I only half suspected it.” Lukas sat down on the sofa next to the pile of blankets Kim was sitting in. “You were always too calm around people with powers, no normal child would be that casual about it, and then when you told me your parents worked in Nizorro, the city with the largest population of supers in the world, well… the odds were a bit too high.” He had so many things he wanted to learn about them, and was not quite sure where to start. So he went for the easiest questions first.

“What is your power?”

After some silence, Kim answered. “Aura Blocking. I can block my aura from being felt by others. So even if you look straight at me, I’m hard to notice, if not completely invisible.”

“So that is why you were always so good at hide and seek? Cheating little villain,” he joked.

“I never used my powers to cheat on purpose!” Kim yelled, “I can’t control it at times, if I get too calm or too scared it just happens…”

Lukas apologized for the joke, it was clearly bad timing. “How long were you a sidekick for?”

“I… I have trained since I was five, maybe even younger. But I was only a sidekick for 2 months. I graduated from the academy only five days before I turned twelve” Kim said shamefully.

Lukas could see the tears beginning to form, but he knew not to stop them.

“Both of my parents, they were… they’re both heroes. Since I was their sidekick, I was allowed to start earlier than everyone else.” Kim's sentences cut in and out, interrupted with tears and gasps that they struggled to hold back. “I hate them… No matter how hard I trained, they just kept pushing. The other kids got to go and have fun all the time, but I always had more and more and more training! I had to be the best in everything!”

Kim curled up into a ball on the sofa. Lukas sat still for a moment, before moving close to them. “Your parents sound like real bastards…”

At that, Kim moved to Lukas’s side before continuing in a tear filled mumble, “No matter how well I did, or how hard I worked, I learned that I would never be good enough for them… so, why even try? Might just as well leave… I just took all the money I had saved up with me, and left while they were busy chasing down a villain…”

“Are they looking for you?” Lukas asked.

Kim shook their head. “Not long after I disappeared… they faked my death, probably to make themselves look good. I don’t know if it was just my parents, or if the agency was in on it. I saw them declared it on the news and that was it… my hero name was removed from everywhere and life went on like I never existed”

Lukas looked at them, shocked at all these revelations. “I have so many more things I want to ask you… but it will all have to wait for another day…”

Not much more was said after that, and, some hours later, Kim was fast asleep in their room.

Lukas, on the other hand, was wide awake.

He did not know who or when, but that thief could not have found the base on their own. That he was starting to fall out of favor with the supervillain Lynx was not a surprise to anyone, but to send someone to his base like that? He had avoided thinking about it by just focusing on Kim, not wanting to worry them.

In the end, he knew that he had three choices.

Find a new base.

Give Kim enough money and supplies and tell them to get as far away from here, as Lynx would definitely target them to get to him.

Uproot everything and leave with Kim, to go who knows where…

He knew the answer… he just needed to get himself to do it. He took it one room at a time, just going through each and mentally planning what he was going to take with him.

After going to almost all of them, he sat down in the living room. But he was soon startled by the sound of small bare feet as Kim appeared half asleep with their blanket still wrapped around them.

“Nightmares?” he asked, and Kim nodded. “You want me to make you the special drink?” Kim smiled. “All right, then. Why don’t you go sit down while I make you a glass then.”

In the two minutes that it took Lukas to make the drink, Kim had almost fallen back asleep. After they finished the drink, Lukas had to lift them up and bring them back to bed.

When Kim was safely in bed, he whispered “Good night, little bird” just as he was about to leave.

“Night, dad,” Kim sleepily replied.

Apparently the word did not register until he got back to the living room. It was only after he sat down and turned on the TV that it clicked in place.

“Dad?” he whispered to himself. “DAD?!”

Leaving Boreas.

“So, where are we going?” Kim asked, as they came down the stairs with the suitcase in one hand and a backpack filled with snacks, their favorite teddy and games in the other.

By the look of the room, you would not think that the people living there were going anywhere permanently. Most of the books were still on the shelf, no furniture had been moved, there was food in the kitchen, and even Kim’s homework lay unfinished on the kitchen table. But soon they would both leave and never return.

“Nowhere specific, think we can both just travel for some time, see the world like you wanted and whatever place feels like home will be the place we stay” Lukas said, bringing Kim a warm winter coat and taking their suitcase.

“I wonder where that will be?” Kim thought out loud, as the two of them left hand in hand.

…

“Hey, look, we can just about see them now!” Lukas said, pointing to the horizon line. “The peak of the half moon mountains, just one more hour and we’re…”

“Back in Nizorro…” Kim said, joining him on the front of the ferry.

“Yeah… feel weird, right?”

“Totally, I still don’t know if I'll like being back” Kim looked over at their parent, mentor, and partner in crime. It had been three long years since the two left the cold mountain town of Boreas.

Kim had grown quite a bit since then, and did not look much like the tiny child that Lukas had taken in so many years ago. Which was the main reason he felt it was safe to come back, the years would easily hide Kim’s old identity.

At the moment Kim worked as Lukas’s assistant and trainee, helping him make gadgets and machinery. But it was already planned that when they turned 18, they would take on the role as Shadow Wraith’s Right Hand in crime.

Lukas himself had also grown a lot since the cold Boreas. Going from small theft, to full on schemes and advanced missions, he had quickly started to make a name for himself internationally.

“Hey, the city has gotten a lot better after the child sidekick ban.” Lukas said “Also, I might be able to train you in a lot of things, and don't misunderstand, your skills have grown excellently. But if you want to grow more within engineering you need a proper education; and what better place than my old uni! Good old, Mirmir Waters University, the perfect place to grow your brilliant mind! But that is still some months away, so relax, okay?”

Kim did not look nearly as excited about the idea of college as he did. But even they couldn't deny it, after everything they had been through, they have missed the city. And as the peaks of the mountains grew closer, they were struggling to hide the excitement.

“But first things first!” Lukas said, smiling, "I got an old friend for you to meet, and he… is a real egghead!"

Updated favorite commissions as of Hoshi wo Tsunagu + general commission opinions

Ichika - Made to Order. Overall her commissions are fine, though I prefer the VS versions of both Pulse of the Meteor and Hoshi wo Tsunagu (the tuning man... the tuning). Still not the biggest fan of her

Saki - Teratera/Show Off. Commissions overall are great. Stella is a close second place for me; I prefer the VS version of From Tokyo; and Aioi made me cry, it's beautiful

Honami - Still very close between Stage of Sekai and Flyway. Not a huge fan of Hare wo Matsu, probably because I'm just not big on Orangestar. Then again I'm not super huge on halyosy and then we got Flyway and it blew me away so. Edge still goes to Stage of Sekai though

Shiho - Voices. Yuyoyuppe is one of my favorite producers. However, Shiho literally does not have a bad song. You could put any of hers in the top spot and it would be correct

Minori - Tenshi no Clover. Worldwide Wander is right behind it. Dream Place and Teammate are both fine, but the latter especially really isn't my thing. I'm not a huge HoneyWorks fan. My opinion on Dream Place may go up when the full version is released

Haruka - If. Ai no Material is dragged down by MEIKO, and Float Planner is fine. Don't have much to say about her, but I do hope her next song is better. Her commissions tend to be more just good rather than great imo

Airi - Momoiro Key. Icedrop and More! Jump! More! are also very good. Still don't like Parasol Cider. Something about it just annoys me and I don't know what. It's just not for me

Shizuku - It's between Metamo Re:born and I Am, We Are. Color of Drops is fine, and Luka's tuning is surprisingly good in it

Kohane - Hitsuji ga Ippiki. Very funky, very Kohane. Beat Eater is also fantastic, and I think I'm in the minority of people who actually genuinely like Flyer. It makes me happy

An - Gekokujo/Giant Killing (yes that is the official translated title at least according to Apple Music). So... this song and event leaked around the time of my grandmother's funeral. I'm still grieving the loss, but this song has helped so much. Awake Now and Machi are both fantastic, and Forward is fine, though I want more of the guys

Akito - Kashika. Can't wait for the full version in three weeks (as of posting this). Akito is like Shiho, though; you could put any of his commissions as the top one and they'd be right. Let's hope that continues

Toya - Rad Dogs. Still hasn't been topped. Mirai is good though, and I recognize why people like Utsuro wo Aogu, even though I still don't like it that much. Hoping this Hiiragi Magnetite commission is his and it's good

Tsukasa - Mr. Showtime. I do not like Tsukasa--or WxS, really--that much. It's the character voices that get me most of the time. However, HitoYama made a banger. I can't stand Tondemo Wonders because of the sound effects, and I prefer the VS version of Eighty-Eight

Emu - Hoshizora Orchestra. Yeah I'm revising my opinion there. I cried when I listened to it with the lyrics. Made me feel warm. Once Upon a Dream is criminally underrated, and Niccori Survey Team's Theme is rightfully loved

Nene - Hakoniwa no Coral. Hot take, this is her first good commission. I do not like OSTER Project or kinoshita much, so that really knocks down Nijiiro Stories and Glory Steady Go for me. I wanted to like Hoshizora no Melody so badly because I like Polypho, but I can't stand them speaking in rhythm rather than singing, and I think MEIKO's tuning is some of the worst in the game here

Mafuyu - Engeki. This song. I cried. Enough said. Jackpot Sad Girl is one of the best early game songs, Saisei is criminally underrated, and while bug is overrated and overplayed, it earned that. You can't go wrong with any of her songs in my book, though I'm aware I'm in the minority there. Still don't get the hate for Saisei though

Ena - Nomad. Just... beautiful. But her other songs are also great and again you can't go wrong. Do you see a pattern here?

Whilst I’m all for asexual Roman and touch averse Lukas, I’m also obsessed with virgin Roman and never-had-sex-with-a-man Lukas.

Neither of them know what they’re doing so their first time is almost comically awful. Lukas knows the mechanics. Or thinks he does. Roman is clueless. They’ve decided who’s going where, it’s just getting there that’s the problem. Roman goes into panic mode every five seconds because he thinks he’s doing everything wrong, whilst Lukas’s ridiculously long legs keep getting in the way of everything.

Their height difference means that they get tangled up or out of alignment, then Roman accidentally kicks Lukas in the balls on more than one occasion due to his feet being at exactly groin level.

Despite being on a private island only accessible by boat and nobody else in the house, Roman can’t let himself go and remains silent which makes Lukas keep stopping what he’s doing because he needs to know that Roman is enjoying himself. This then leads to Roman providing a running commentary about how good everything feels, does it feels good for Lukas as well? He hopes so because if not they can do something different, or change positions etc which sends Lukas into sensory overload because he can’t concentrate on what he’s doing properly.

After their first failed attempt Lukas is even more turned on than before whilst Roman wallows in “I suck at everything” mode. So they regroup, watch some porn to get an idea of what they’re supposed to do/position ideas and try again.

Round two is marginally better because Roman feels less self conscious and Lukas’s balls are safe from any flailing feet. By the forth time they’ve found a position that works really well for them and proceed to have the gentlest, most vanilla sex ever.

- a classic, really

- the girls, just like their male counterparts, are super devoted to eachother

- they realized they were into eachtoher after years of "learning how to kiss" sessions with the other, something like:

Hey Anon! I am so sorry this sat in my inbox for so long. I have been working on it very slowly. I normally only take 5 characters for HC's so I did all the Army boys (Feel free to ask for more when my regular requests are open). For now though I hope you enjoy. I tried to be as diverse as possible with symptoms cause there are a ton and it effects everyone a little differently.

First Period HC's - Lancelot, Jonah, Edgar, Kyle, Sirius and Luka.

Suitors: Lancelot, Jonah, Edgar, Kyle, Sirius, Luka

[HC]: how the boys take care of Alice while she's on her period. (Her first period after they start dating) How they find out how they react, how they make her feel better.

Warnings: graphic period symptoms

Lancelot

He knows the basics about periods but didn't register that you'd get one.

He gets really worried when you say you aren’t feeling well and gets worried when you are more tired than usual, starting to fuss over you.

You blush when you end up sitting him down and tell him what’s going on and that you aren’t sick.

He ends up getting you a heated stuffed animal for your cramps and makes sure your workload is minimal.

He is very attentive to your needs and ries to be more sensitive with your moods. He talks a little less, not wanting to upset you because he knows he can be a little callous.

The first couple of days is rough, he doesn’t fully understand your mood swings or how more/less affectionate you are feeling.

He makes sure you are comfortable and if you need more affection he will rearrange his schedule to cuddle you and work from bed. Or he will wrap you up in his mantle and let you sit on his lap at his desk.

You like playing with his collar or medals and will pepper kisses along his neck.

If you are feeling less affectionate and more withdrawn, he lets you use your old room and will leave the door open so Shine can come comfort you and he can help you with anything you need.

Jonah

Jonah has zero clue about periods. He scolds you for your acne issues, and makes a comment about you looking bloated. Jonah’s words really upset you, and you storm out of his room and go down to the infirmary in tears, feeling exhausted and just wanting to sleep.

Kyle lets you in the infirmary and helps you feel comfortable. He gives you pain killers and lets you get some rest, fending off Jonah. Jonah gets worried when he goes half the day without seeing you and storms into the infirmary to see you curled up with a pillow sleeping.

Kyle pulls Jonah aside and gives him the rundown about periods and that he needs to leave you alone. Jonah feels absolutely terrible and buys you some of your favorite tea and dessert from Central Quarter.

When you finally wake up you see Jonah sitting worriedly next to your side with some fresh tea and a dessert. He apologizes for being rude earlier, offering the tea and dessert. You explain to Jonah what usually happens during your period.

If you need more affection he will cuddle you and dote on you more, letting you snuggle into his side while he works on the bed.

If you are less affectionate he will either back off of touching you and let you stay in his room, or you can go to your old room for a few days to have some space.

Jonah insists on making sure you eat, even if it is a little bit and making sure you get plenty of rest. He loves giving you massages so you feel better, absolutely spoiling you if you let him.

Edgar

Innocent boi I know what they are but is oblivious to you getting them.

When he notices you aren't feeling well he casually tries to pry to see why. He is worried about you, but if symptoms are manageable you ignore him and try to go about your day, not bothering with much.

You skip meals and just crash after dinner and he finally gets you to tell him why. You are a little shy about the questions he asks but you tell him everything.

He loves doting on you so he is happy to cuddle you, and wrap you in blankets. He is good with his hands and will massage your body or draw you baths to help with the pain. He is another one that will go and buy a heat pack for your stomach. He does anything he can to make sure you are comfortable.

He knows when you are moody and is good at calming you down, or avoiding confrontation with you. He knows the best ways to work through your mood swings and if he doesn’t know what to say he will either just hold you or let you calm down.

Kyle

Being a doctor he knows about them and he knows that you will get yours eventually.

His worry is triggered when you don't eat breakfast and is just pushing your food around your plate. He tries to coax you into eating something gentle that will help an upset stomach.

He'll watch you closely as you attend patients. Kyle is quick to notice the way you'II occasionally wince on hold your back or stomach.

He will quietly pull you aside and confirm his suspicions before making sure you are okay to continue working. He keeps a heat pack out of sight of the patients so you can rest and use it if you need to.

If you insist you are okay he will watch you through the day and make sure you take breaks as needed.

If you start to need to rest he will set you up in his office so you can rest and relax or he will send you to his room so you can wear his shirt and curl up. He will avoid going out with Blanc and Oliver during this time, so you can have him all night long. He only works when necessary and spends the rest of the time looking after you, staying nearby and studying.

Sirius

Growing up with his younger sisters means he's aware and ready for this. He's had your bathroom stocked with supplies and he notices the changes in your attitude.

You don't mention it to him but because of how attentive he is he picks up on it immediately.

Sirius subtly checks to see if you need a couple of days off.

If you agree to take a few days off, he'll think of a reason and will check on you often, sometimes letting you rest on his lap while he works.

If you insist on working he'll change his routine around a little so he is always near you and watching you to make sure you're okay.If you seem to be tired and not looking okay. He'll force you to lay down and will bring you tea and cuddles.

When you are having cramps he will give you something warm to hold for pain relief. If you want affection and cuddles he will allow you to cuddle up in his lap while he does paperwork. If your pain is really bad he will let you squeeze his hand and will just hold you closer.

He will never push food on you if you don't feel like eating and will just give you worried looks.

Thankfully he remains calm if you start snapping at him and will just assess if you need affection or space and will give you either.

Luka

Like his brother he is completely oblivious to female cycles. He has very little idea they exist and gets extremely worried when yours starts.

He notices you are more sluggish and sore than usual and tells you to get some sleep, letting you sleep in one of his shirts and wrapping you up so you are warm. He gets even more worried when you sleep and still seems tired, not sure why you are so fatigued.

Sirius, who has been silently helping you through them until now gets the hint at what is going on and calms Luka down. He gives Luka a brief rundown of what happens and Luka feels a lot better.

He goes to find you again and checks on you, doting to see what you need. He loves giving you any affection you may need and will happily curl up with you to cuddle you.

The innocent bean has no idea how to handle your mood swings, please try to be gentle with him, he just wants you to be happy and it completely stresses him out that you are a crying mess. He just holds you close and plays with your hair, trying not to provoke you.

He will happily make you anything you are craving but will be super worried if you don’t eat. He tries to force you to eat something small so that your body has a little bit of food to run.

How do you think the canon story would’ve panned out if Adrien didn’t get to clear up the gum incident in Origins (whether Marinette remembered to bring her own umbrella and walked home before he gets to the school entrance, he happened to get to his car and be driven home before she got to the school entrance, etc.) and Marinette ended the day officially disliking him, putting him in the same category as Chloe as someone to steer clear of with Alya’s previous comments backing her up in her head. It’s a toss in the air if he actively tries to get her to warm up to him, but given his canon reluctance to go out of his way to interact with ANYONE in the class, least of all Marinette, I personally think he’d walk around Being Sad™ and maybe try to fish for sympathy from her or even other people when she’s near enough to hear him a la Gamer. Then again, it’s a different feeling when someone you want to like you actively dislikes you over what really was a misunderstanding, so maybe he does try repeatedly to make it up to her or explain, though, given how he goes about fixing problems in-show, I can see even this scenario backfiring. Bonus if he does end up explaining what happened and Marinette understands, maybe even forgives given her nature and that he actually was trying to get the gum off, but still doesn’t wanna be friends with him since she’s seen his prolonged behavior/personality at this point and doesn’t jive with it, on top of the fact that understanding, forgiveness, and friendship are three separate things. Marinette could even get more and more frustrated with him for not respecting her boundaries on that front after-the-fact, forgiveness or not, which starts to remind her of a certain partner of hers… Anyways, I saw some posts wandering around concerning Adrien getting rewarded for basic decency, so I would love to hear your thoughts on realistic outcomes if the Umbrella Scene never happened.

So a lot of what you said is possible if Adrien tried later with no Umbrella Scene, I do see him doing Sad and hoping she overhears, or tries to approach her as a victim to get her to listen. I can see him backing off and letting it go. Marinette isn't a major part of his life and he has no obligation for clear things up outside his wanting to. So if the go to clear things up doesn't work out, he may not continue and just focus on the positives in his life.

And the biggest changes to this is minimal to no interactions between them, and no Marinette crushing on Adrien.

This opens up to seeing Marinette with a little more free time, more focused on heroism, and better friendships as she and her friends are hanging out for other things than "confess to Adrien schemes". And over all she'd be happier and less stressed. Big bonus, she has mo reason to clash with Kagami, Chloe would pick on her less as she's not interested in Adrien, and her clash with Lila may not be as intense and her jealousy over Adrien added fuel to her ire of Lila lying about her. She could be calmer and ask to talk to Lila privately about her lying. There may also be Chloe and Lila growth as Marinette wouldn't stand or humor Adrien guilting her for standing against them.

On Adrien’s end, hardly anything changes as Marinette has a minor to nonexistent role in his personal life. Biggest changes are that I can think of atm: no scarf for his birthday and no grimoire returned. Anything else I can't think of.

So Marinette not crushing on him would barely effect Adrien’s life and she'd be better off.

DJWifi may or may not happen. Adrien may not help Nino at all (meaning no set up meet up), or Adrien makes it about himself making this his chance to clear the air. Only Marinette and Alya are more on guard with him or neutral and no one is really having a good time (that is IF they even agreed to Adrien’s suggestion to go to the zoo).

On the hero side of things, I really just see it staying the same. Luka's existence confirms that she can see others past her crush, and Chat just isn't the forefront of someone she really wants to date.

And this would really set up Lukanette endgame. We shall all rejoice for the healthier happier pair.

Oof sorry- I am the anon who asked about your headcannon on how you think Axel would've comforted Jesse if she/or/he started crying.

The details: Jesse was being overwhelmed by a bunch of stress on their shoulders from trying to make a plan for an upcoming event in beacon town, Axel showed up for a visit in advance to know when the event would be at, But Jesse told him that she/or/he wasn't sure if the event was ready and started to explain everything and the stress so Jesse ended up starting to sob.

So I wanna know how Axel would try to comfort Jesse, If this isn't too much..😅

So like, last minute I realized that it was suppose to be 'headcanons' but I hope you don't mine the short story. ^^'

But tbh this was so interesting to write! The gender of Jesse is up to the reader to decide, that's why I choose they/them pronouns. They can decided if it's Male!Jesse or Female!Jesse. Imma be honest, I wrote "He" and "Him" many times on accident since I'm used to writing Male!Jesse 😅

Also, I apologize if I'm not reponsing to these Asks fast, since my summer vacation is about to end and things are going on but don't worry it's nothing serious! I'm gonna try my best to answer your asks!

Axel understands how it feels like to deal with stress for a event, ever since becoming king of boomtown and leader after Magnus death, he couldn't help but feel stress out and overwhelmed by a few things but it's never this extreme.

He never seen Jesse like this before, He always saw Jesse as a strong person. Someone who doesn't let their issues weigh them down, someone who is always there when someone needs help, someone who is confident and Independentable. So, seeing them breaking down in the middle of their treasure hall was a rare sight to him.

When Jesse explained to him about their stress and the pressure they were going through, he felt his heart break. Beacontown is a huge town, bigger than Champion city, Redsonia and, Boomtown. It's no wonder why they're going through so much pressure. They do get lots of help from their intern, Radar, who helps them with their paperwork and such, but still it isn't enough. Jesse is the one who has to go to meetings, help citizens with their stuff, dissolve arguments, help build many structues, protect the citizens from any danger, and etc. They barely get any time to rest or enjoy mini vacations.

Axel was never the best to comfort someone when they're upset but he always tries. He wasn't gonna let Jesse cry here alone. He known Jesse for years, they always been there for him and he promises to do the same. He crouched down and patted their back softly, telling them some smoothing words that he could think off like:

"You're doing great, Jesse."

"It's gonna be awesome, you're awesome!"

"Everything is gonna be alright."

"You're the most coolest leader I've ever seen... but don't tell Olivia I said that.."

(He couldn't help but make a few jokes, which Jesse didn't mind since they made them chuckle.)

With Jesse's permission, Axel embraces them. They stayed there for a few minutes in slience. Axel softly smoothing their back while Jesse sobs slowly stop and their breathing goes back to normal. Once everything calmed down, Axel asked Jesse if he could help them with the event since they felt like it wasn't ready yet. Jesse immediately waved their hands around, nervously saying that it wasn't necessary but Axel completely insist.

Eventually, both of them (with Radar's help as well) were able to work and finalize the reminding things for the event. Jesse felt more confident and better for it and Axel couldn't feel even more prouder.

The day of the event came and it was absolutely perfect. Olivia, Lukas, and Petra were able to come and visit for the event, they claim that it was fantastic and it was very amusing to be a part of. The citizens of Beacontown enjoyed it as well, claiming that the event was fun and joyful. Jesse had a huge smile on their face during the whole thing, they felt the weight of their shoulders disappear.

At first, Jesse was embarrassed that Axel caught them crying but now they felt glad that he did. They were so grateful that Axel visited and help them, It made things so much better.

Axel came over and harshly nudged them on the side with his elbow, letting out a loud laugh while doing so. "See! Told you this was going to be cool!"

Jesse chuckled as they smiled up at their friend, they nudged him back. "Yeah... Thanks Axel. I appreciate it."

The stress of being the leader and hero of one of the most biggest town may probably never go away but Jesse knows for a fact that they has friends that are willing to help them and comfort them when they need it. Axel may be busy with his things and not able to visit much but he will always make sure that his friends know that he will always be glad to led a helping hand.
