Lol.
This will be short. I’ll go on a little tangent but I’ll tie this back to Jungkook and BTS at the end.
You know, I was mostly ambivalent about the feud between HYBE and Min Heejin until I heard her call Bang Sihyuk and his sycophants “bastards” for ‘overpaying for garbage and forcing everyone to eat it because they think the price makes the music good.’ - I’m paraphrasing a bit because her language was more crude. That made me sit up a bit, because her sentiments mirrored my thoughts about the direction Bang Sihyuk has been taking the company in for some time now.
Another random connection is that, to me at least, it seems clear BigHit is still trying to make the HYBE America investment worth it, given:
1. The unnecessarily long credit lists filled with Scooter-linked writers that appear to have become a fixture of most HYBE releases. Bang PD is clearly taking advantage of Scooter’s connections although it’s yet to yield any significant improvement in music quality, and in terms of chart performance the results are mixed at best;
2. The fact that in addition to HYBE paying US$1.05 Billion in cash for Scooter’s company, essentially overpaying for Ithaca Holdings by consensus estimates (a deal Min Heejin also openly criticized as being hare-brained), HYBE America still generated hundreds of millions of dollars in losses as of the last fiscal year, two years after the acquisition was finalized.
But this is old news, we all knew that.
The thing about Min Heejin’s comments that concerned me is that, despite what is now clearly an underperforming investment both in terms of Scooter Braun himself and the man at HYBE that arranged the deal in the first place, Lee Jae-sang, rather than work to correct course and minimize losses, Bang Sihyuk appears to be doubling down on the deal by rewarding these two men in particular with more music and business opportunities within HYBE, even if the music quality suffers as a result, even if HYBE continues overpaying for shit, and even if the artists/idols are negatively impacted in the process. And according to Min Heejin, one big reason Bang Sihyuk allows it is because those men are adept at greasing his arse and eating it out.
Basically, it’s become an expensive joke. But he’s brute forcing the deal to work because so long as BTS is involved and so ARMYs are involved, it’s a joke that Bang PD is guaranteed to take laughing all the way to the bank.
This is where I say I realized shortly after Jungkook’s fan song for Festa was announced, that I wasn’t excited to hear it. I’m saying this only because now that the song is out, it’s confirmed everything I expected. And also because that apathetic feeling was so at odds with how I’ve been feeling about Jungkook as a person for the last year. If it’s not been clear from my reblogs and gush posts, I’ve been spending the better part of this hiatus loving Jungkook extremely. Jungkook is an empathetic songwriter, an emotive vocalist, a talented producer.
But nothing about Never Let Go is exciting. Who wants to listen to a fan song written by people who’ve never had fans? And on top of that, Jungkook is making less money from that song than any fan song he’s written before. Meaning, the song is mediocre, it feels blatantly insincere in ways only a crowdsourced fan song can be, and Jungkook has to split his revenue from the song with about 10 white people. Just look at this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m actually laughing typing this out, but this turn of events is at least a little tragic.
Golden worked as a concept album because it was a collection of songs Jungkook felt represented his taste, he could take on the challenge of putting out a full English album with some help from the writers, and he showcased new vocal techniques and styles that only showed an evolution from his prior work in BTS. The songs themselves were just okay, good decent pop, but as a collection it worked.
Everything about Never Let Go feels almost audaciously soulless. Not quite a slap on the face but it’s like someone coming all up in your face with a bad case of halitosis and their nose barely touching yours, daring you to do something about it.
I have no issue with HYBE working with Scooter-linked writers or producers if it means something actually good comes of it. But it seems HYBE seems to believe their work is better simply because they slap on as many foreign names in the credits as they can fit. It betrays a worrying mentality about the head honchos in the company. Looking at the peak quality in FACE by Jimin, or in Right Place, Wrong Person by RM, which included acclaimed Korean, other Asian, and Black talent supposedly hand-picked by Jimin and Joon themselves, it’s clear HYBE has access to remarkable home-grown and foreign talent that could improve the work of the members. But what I’m seeing with too much frequency is HYBE picking off the bottom of the barrel in the unending list of Scooter’s contractors and otherwise choosing to do the bare minimum.
And that’s how we end up with a Festa fan song with a topline that sounds like an AI-generated jingle written by a soccer team of hired help.
Or idk, maybe I’m being just a bit too full of it. Maybe I’ve been brainwashed by the witch Min Heejin, maybe this was just one more song Jungkook worked on with his Golden team as he had no time to write a proper fan song, nothing more. And maybe as a silver lining, there are no glaring grammatical errors though I found the ones in My You very charming, and honestly part of the appeal. To hear the way Jungkook sees the fans who have been with him till now, even if in English it didn’t quite make sense.
I said this would be short but I’ve rambled, as usual. Sorry for that. When I started out writing this post, I did intend to keep it short.
To end things on a somewhat lighter note, for me the only thing I’m excited about this Festa, is SeokJin coming back. I’ll be working on a deal during the fanmeet so I didn’t bother participating in the raffle, but I’m happy for the ARMYs who get the opportunity to hug Jin, and for Jin who gets to spend time with his fans after so long. With him returning, things are starting to feel more right, even though there are worrying signs in high places. We’ve got about 1 year left to endure most of the members enlisted and then, the crew will be rounded up again.
Now more than ever, I find myself looking forward to that.

jimin being top #6 in spotify brazil is something HARDER than being #1 on hot100... like you guys have no idea how in my country International artists have a HARD time in achieving something with their music cause our music platforms is extremely local to only brazilian artists AND EVEN THEN pop brazilian artists have a hard time putting a top 10 song on spotify cause brazilian funk and brazilian country music rule the platforms....
i wish this fandom talk more about this cause its something HUGE to jimin, bts and etc...
jimin is doing something that a lot of huge western artist cant do in my country...
PLEASE SHARE THIS!!!! im not joking he made something SO IMPORTANT!!!

Why I don't expect promotion for Muse to be similar to RPWP or Golden...
...or any other release before that.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band is doing well for not having it's artist available. In fact it is outstanding. There were many other prominent artists who released music on the same day and are currently hitting up the interview circuit and other promotional activities. Our boy debuts at #4 on Global Spotify and he's somewhere on a military base.
Tumblr media
See the post here.
That is pretty outstanding for not having the artist available to promote. Name another artist in which this has happened.
Perhaps a dead one... let's just not go there.
"But the Youtube views are low..."
I think since the popularity of Tiktok, the use of YouTube and therefore its influence has diminished somewhat. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be more views. We all know the challenges we have with YouTube. We just have to do the best we can with using YouTube.
Help boost views. Watch the MV here.
"But Right Place Wrong Person was heavily promoted..."
Namjoon was all over his own IG often, almost every day for a while, along with the staff he appointed to post on the @rpwprpwprpwp Instagram account. Perhaps this created a perception that RPWP had some heavy promotion when he was doing all that himself and it was keeping it in front of us so consistently.
The BigHit instagram chat channel is being used for Muse and has been very engaging. It is convenient for Jimin in case he is able and does repost or create a story with any of that content.
I've seen a lot of buzz in the media on both sides of the Pacific regarding SGMB and Muse. That means BigHit sent out press kits. I saw at least one radio group posting they had the song and it was ready to include in their rotations. We'll see if they actually follow through. But that means BigHit sent it to radio.
"Jimin and the members need to post about it..."
It is more of a challenge for Jimin and Jungkook to be online because of the location of their base. If it is in the mountains as was mentioned earlier this year, their internet connection may not be as reliable or strong enough to allow much use. Soldiers may also be restricted as to if they can even use it if the base itself needs it for military operations or if its encrypted for security or whatever myriad of reasons why they can't access it.
If they had reliable internet service where they are, we'd be seeing JK on TikTok more often. But... perhaps TikTok is one of those apps that they are discouraged from using as it is China-based and why JK created the Instagram account for Bam.
Perhaps they are free to do what they want only when OFF base and out of the area during their days off. We don't know what their restrictions are.
People just have to come down to earth and think. Jimin is in the military. I'm most certain that Jimin is being Jimin and focused on his duties. He is wearing fatigues and a helmet and going out everyday doing drills and training including firing ammunition out of a big ass piece of warfare equipment. He is listening to reports from his commanders about what is going on regarding North Korea and what his base will be expected to do if anything should escalate. He should be focused on his duties not focused on what is happening out here.
It is Saturday. Not sure what their alert status might be on a weekend. But we have to be cognizant that JM and JK are the closest to the DMZ of any of the members and will be activated first should anything occur.
I am constantly thinking about how every time we hear of nonsense from NK that JM and JK have to hear it every day too and any contingency they will be ready for in case anythng happens.
NK fired missiles the other day. Yesterday maybe? Some sort of rocket that can launch multiple missiles in one shot. It's chilling. Now imagine you are mere miles from the border and must react with your own weapons of mass destruction should anything become more aggressive.
Jimin worked and created, then he left it for us while he is doing his duty. I'm never going to expect him to do anything else until he is discharged. Unless he is able and wants to. Otherwise I want him doing what he feels he needs to do in order to get through this for himself and Jungkook.
I am very, very happy Namjoon was able to and wanted to participate in his own album's release as much as he was able. But some people have the same expectation that Jimin should too.
I'm never going to expect it from Jimin.
"The company is not doing enough..."
Surely everyone knows this is not a big long vacation for them. It may be a break from their careers and their real personal lives but its not a vacation by any means.
They keep saying its not easy. Perhaps they mean its not easy sitting in a military base carrying out a routine day in day out.
Or perhaps they say its not easy because they are on constant alert. They cannot give any details because their locations and their activities are classified information. Surely, surely, people can realize that right?
See? My brain is always thinking I just don't say a lot of what it comes up with. Because it serves no purpose to talk about it except to create worry. Just like people screaming at the company, it creates stress and negativity.
There is only so much public facing promoting the company can achieve especially when its been planned with the artist's involvement. Since I don't know (and neither does anyone else) what the entire promotion plan is, how can anyone speak on the promotion plan? Just because another member's release was handled a certain way does that mean it should be done the same for all? Not necessarily.
Stationhead listening party schedule:
Tumblr media
This is an ad I just saw from BigHit.
Yes, this is an ad and not a repost, I've seen it twice already and it is not on the @BTS_bighit accounts feed:
Tumblr media
These are posts promoting SGMB on streaming platforms:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, if you use any playlists on streaming platforms, check the songs on the list and turn off/delete the ones you don't want to stream. Or create your own playlists.
The people printing their own posters, putting them up in public and asking for them to be displayed is WONDERFUL! THAT is the energy Army are known for!
Also the UK issue with the random inclusion making it disqualified. A fix may or may not be in the works. Constant screaming to the company won't make it happen faster or at all if it can't be done logistically. All screaming does is make everyone feel bad, including Jimin if he sees it.
@OfficialCharts is UK based and posted about Jimin and SGMB:
Tumblr media
But since people began screaming since day one, every time another step in the promotion process occurs, screamers will take credit for it and vehemently scream it only happened because they were screaming when the reality is, no one knows whats on the promotion schedule.
Those of you telling people not to buy the album now but to wait and buy it when it releases? THAT IS USEFUL AND PRODUCTIVE INFORMATION!
We, as Army, know how, what and when to buy in order to impact the charts. I know you didn't forget any of that. So stop screaming and do something productive like tell people how to work around this apparent obstacle until it is fixed or in case it never gets fixed.
The screaming at BigHit to do their job is not productive or useful at all in helping Jimin at this point. It only displays negativity and lowers morale for those who don't know what to do.
We are a month away from the album's release for god's sakes, the pre-promotions are paced to keep interest.
They can't all be thrown out all at one time.
Whatever comes out as pre-promotions will be things that were planned in advance and not knee jerk reactions to the screamers.
"If we don't say anything, things will never change for Jimin."
That is your perception. Jimin is very much in control of his own life and career. He can change anything he wants to. Feel free to scream about it, I know its different strokes for different folks. But constantly screaming and trending it surrounds Jimin's activities with stress and negativity. I know you know how to communicate your concerns to the company discreetly. And we know they see our communications because they ask us for help to identify those who are carrying out slanderous and illegal activities against our guys.
If you want to help, communicate to the rest of the fandom the steps they can take to actually help increase streams, views and sales.
Even if the company plasters posters everywhere, WE, THE FANS, are still the ones who do the streaming, buying, viewing and supporting. Its in our hands now. We know what to do!
After all is said and done, I trust Jimin. He's in control of his life.
And he has Jungkook with him. That's the smartest fucking thing ever.
Please go stream it now on your preferred streaming platform.
Please go share some of the various positive news media stories out there on your socials.

I feel bad for "Jimin biased armys" 'cause they're still struggling to understand why "the rest of the fandom" don't support Jimin the way they do with other members.
They don't stream (and when they do, they use the wrong type of playlists which only benefit OTHER members more than Jimin)
They don't vote.
They don't CARE or bother to share any of his campaigns, updates, records, news.
The only time they seem to "care" is when they want to weaponize his words against his solo fanbases (who are actually keeping his songs stable with 24/7 streaming parties on all platforms). Or when they want to flex his skills against other fandoms to create fanwars only to throw him under the bus.
And this isn't recent, I've said it already on X.
As an OG fan, I've been seeing this pattern since before they won their first Daesang at MAMA. Then it progressively got louder when they won their first billboard music award in 2017, 'cause that's when more toxic shippers and kppopies joined the fandom as BTS got bigger in the US.
And you can come here with your sheep mentality and tell me that: "Oh Armys are just projecting the hatred they feel towards his solos on to him---"
BULLSHIT
It is known IN AND OUT of the fandom that a LARGE portion of it always hated Jimin. The reason it wasn't so obvious (aside from the constant gaslighting from the company's part feeding the "One big happy family" agenda) is that openly hating a member back then was considered hating the group as a whole.
But you could always tell and see the constant microaggressions, the back-handed comments, downplaying his abilities, over-and-hyper-feminization (to an almost fetishizing degree) of his persona in order to project him as "weak", "helpless", "he's nothing without the group" (or certain members).
And even when he proved everybody WRONG before and during his solo debut. That he COULD stand on his own two feet, that he IS more than capable and TALENTED enough to write & compose his own music. Guess what? That LARGE portion of the fandom who always hated him as part of the group, now hated him even more as a soloist. They just found a way to justify the hate they've always felt for HIM by using his solos. 'Cause what do you mean other solos get free passes everyday to hate on him since YEARS ago and still those other members get all the support despite having the worst solos because "its not the member's fault".
And the funny part is THOSE are the people who managed to groom and gaslight the rest of the fandom into this delusion of "pjms are the most vile", "pjms are the devils", "they should all be k*lled".
Why? Because we got tired of staying quiet? Got tired of being just bystanders and decided to take action? Decided that enough was enough and started fighting back?
So really, wtf are ya'll still acting surprised for?
If 'FACE' era didn't open your eyes, then I'm afraid you're a lost cause atp as a Jimin biased.

This might sound like an odd question, but I keep thinking about it.... Would Spider Jimin's web/silk be able to hold someone off the ground? Suspended if that's the right word I'm thinking of. 🤔
Not odd at all lovely 🤭 <33 trust I got u
cw. bondage
If Jimin, you know, just so happened to want to string up his pretty little human, his silks would have no trouble doing such a thing! He’d be so careful too, wrapping you up just right. Making you look like the perfect present tied up for him.
Would make his brain go a little haywire, to be honest. Seeing his angel stuck for him, pretty little pictures drawn across your skin when he still had the right mind to tease you. Webbing holding you in place. His silks covering your body. Presented just for him on a silver platter.
Personally, I think he’d prefer to tie to up to a web. Whatever angle that web sits at, he has no care for. (A web standing straight up, you attached to it with nothing but his silks… he would fall apart at the sight.) There’s just something about it that makes his spider just preen, little voice in the back of his head rambling about just how good a mate you are. Pretty and tied for him. Covered in him, in his scent, his marks. But I can only imagine what happens if you decide to get bratty on him. Then he doesn’t mind you tied up like a pretty doll. Not at all <33
So! Short answer: his webs are definitely strong enough to support holding someone off the ground! Definitely not like, a single string, but he knows how to prepare you correctly, so don’t worry :DD I imagine his webbing is similar to spider man’s to be honest, just a bit thinner and more delicate. But still very strong since he’s able to sit on it after a few passes over the same spot ++ he uses it to hunt :>> 💞💞

What's with all the anti talk in the tag lately/anon asks?
People still didn't get over the fact that jikook chose each other for the buddy system yet?😅 What will you all do when they get out and talk about it? When the travel show will air? When they'll keep being close for the next few years like they always been?

Congratulations Jimin!

Despite being apart from us for so long, he was able to win a daesang (first soloist in ten years to do so, might I add)! I'm so proud of him and all of the hard work he put forth to make good music for us :((
