War of Scars Pt. 3
Word Count- 2.6k
Warnings- Swearing, mentions of injury
Four days have passed since I last argued with Keiko. I know she has come by the med cabin a few times daily, but Alastair has turned her back around each time. I hear him tell her the same thing each time,
“Give her some time to cool off and regain her strength. Then you can come to bother her again.”
At first, Keiko had tried to get by him, but after the 4th time, she just wordlessly leaves once he tells her to go. A small part of me feels bad for turning away from her. Then I remember all the lies she told me and that small ounce of sadness contorts back to anger.
A small silver lining these past few days though has been my nurse, or guardian angel as he calls himself, Alastair. Even though he’s the same age as me and has the personality of a rabid ferret, he has been very attentive to me and my healing process. Always checking up on me in the morning and even coming in to keep me company throughout the rest of the day. Most of the time it’s him talking to me about the latest gossip at camp or which cabins to stay clear of. Most of the time I stare at the window by my bed while he does this, barely listening to what he says. He doesn’t seem to notice, or if he has he doesn’t seem to care, since he still finds a way to talk my ear off with everything and nothing at the same time.
Right now Alastair is trying to ease my bandaged arm into the grey sweatshirt, one of his friends lent him. As Alastair said he would never be caught dead in such a dreary color as grey.
“I don’t know why we can’t just stay here for a little longer,” I look up to Alastair whose eyebrows are scrunched together in concentration as he eases the rest of the sweatshirt over my shoulders, “We can just stay here and I’ll even let you tell me all about the boy in Cabin 5 who pranked Aphrodite’s cabin or whatever.”
Alastair rolls his blue eyes dusts invisible dirt off my shoulders and brushes my hair away from my face.
“Nope. No can do. Chiron needs to speak with you, and besides you’re all healed so you’ll be moving into the Hermes cabin and out of here.”
I look over to the bed I’ve been sleeping in for the past few weeks and a sense of sadness fills me at the thought.
“Do I have to move into another cabin? Can’t I stay here for another night?”
Alastair sends me a small smile and moves his hand to the small of my back as he guides me to the front door of the med cabin. I halt at the realization that I haven’t been outside of this cabin since the Chimera attack. I start to blink heavily as my vision starts to blur and my breathing gets faster.
“Woah, woah just breathe bro! You can’t seriously like this cabin that much,” Alastair rubs his hand up and down my right shoulder soothingly as he tries to joke with me.
“Don’t worry about it ok? We can take as long as you need, and if you’re worried about everyone staring at you, don’t, ok. Most people will be staring at me because I have that effect on people,” He sends me a smirk, “and those who are staring at you just are curious about the girl who survived Zeus’ lightning. After a few days though someone new will enter camp and they’ll be in the spotlight.”
I nod my head slowly as I stand there for a moment and take a deep breath. I open my eyes and send a small nod at Alastair telling him I’m ok. I’m totally not, but he doesn’t need to worry about me anymore. Alastair grasps the handle of the door and lets me walk outside first.
The bright light is the first thing that enters my vision, momentarily stopping me. I bring my hands up to rub my eyes and continue my steps onto the wooden porch. I glance around to see woods surrounding the med cabin and groups of kids of all ages wearing orange t-shirts running around. None of them seem to notice me though as they all seem to be in their worlds, conversing with one another.
“Chiron said he would be at the archery field so it shouldn’t be that far of a walk from here.”
Alastair says as he passes me, and hops down the steps as if he is high on life, or high on something else. This wouldn’t surprise me since no one can be as happy-go-lucky as this kid has been since the moment I met him.
Alastair and I make our way down a path that a few other kids who appear to be a bit younger than us are also walking on. A bright green forest surrounds us as birds chirp in the air and a light breeze flows through my hair. Alastair walks beside me with a pep in his step and a tune coming from his lips. Every person that’s passed us so far has expressed their excitement to see him which he reciprocates. But, as soon as the other people notice me their attention turns to the light bruises on my face and my covered arm. That excitement quickly dissipates as they walk away, whispering to each other.
After more whispers and passing glances with the orange-shirted strangers Alastair and I make it to a clearing that opens up to a field filled with kids and archery equipment. As I stare at the field filled with kids the building anxiety I’ve felt begins to burst at the seams.
“Ah, Y/N it’s nice to see you walking around.”
A deep voice comes from behind Alastair and I. I turn around and my mouth drops open as I stare at the man-horse thing in front of us.
“You didn’t tell her what I was did you.”
The man-horse thing smiles down at me after he questions Alastair. I keep staring at him with my mouth open though.
“Oops, I did not,” Alastair turns to me and hisses my name at me as he puts his hand under my chin and pushes up to close my mouth, “Close your mouth girl, damn.”
“It’s quite alright Alastair. I have had much more intense reactions from new campers,” Horse-Man says to him as he glances back at me, “It’s nice to meet you Y/N. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I hope Alastair has been suitable company for you in your time of healing.”
I hear a gasp of surprise and hurt come from Alastair as he starts going on about how he is insulted Chiron would think anything bad of his company. I’m not too focused on Alastair though as I try to make sense of the Man-horse in front of me. No. Not Man-horse, Chiron. His name is Chiron.
“I’m Chiron, the activities director here at camp, I am also a centaur which you’ve noticed. I’ve asked Alastair to bring you here so I can give you a personal tour of Camp myself,” Chiron turns to Alastair, “Thank you Alastair for your help. You are free to go.”
I quickly glance at Alastair when I realize the closest thing I have to a friend here at camp is leaving me. Wait, no. Not a friend. He was only with me to help me heal. Now that I’m healed he’ll go back to helping other broken and bruised kids.
I turn back around, not facing him, and watch some of the kids run around.
“Hey don’t get all moody on me again, Brat.”
Alastair flicks me behind my ear to get my attention.
“I’ll come to check on you when you’re all settled into the Hermes cabin. My friend lives there too so I’ll make sure he gives you the best attention.”
I look into Alastair's eyes waiting to see some sort of pity or annoyance at the idea of visiting me, but I see nothing but a smile in his eyes.
“Ya, Ok,” I send him a small nod.

“And this is the mess hall, campers come here for arts and crafts and other weekly activities put on by the cabins.”
I glance at the tall building in front of me that has kids coming and going. Chiron has shown me most of the camp by now, explaining each building and function. We’ve passed many campers, almost all of who’ve given me the same mix of pity and wariness that I’d seen from the campers earlier today with Alastair.
Chiron leads me down a narrow path towards to cabins as a question enters my mind about something Alastair had said.
“Alastair mentioned something about me surviving Zeus’ lightning bolt,” I strain my neck to glance up at Chiron who’s stopped walking, “What did he mean by that?”
I watch as a flurry of emotions passes through Chiron’s face as he looks at me.
“We don’t if what happened to you was Zeus’ doing. It is just a rumor that some of the campers have been talking about. You shouldn’t worry too much about it.”
A frown makes its way onto my face at Chiron’s dismissive tone as he keeps walking, clearly done with the question.
“There are 12 cabins in Camp Half-Blood. Three of which no one resides in. As you have not been claimed by your Godly parent, you’ll be staying in Cabin Eleven, Hermes’ cabin.”
I lightly jog to catch up with Chiron, trying not to agitate the stitches on my back.
“What do you mean, claimed?”
Chiron glances down at me with a solemn look.
“Claiming is when your godly mother or father claims you as their own. This can be done by completing a quest or by simply participating in a game of Capture the Flag.”
I nod at what he says and continue my walk.
“You’re not going to ask anything else about claiming?”
I shrug at Chiron’s question and shake my head.
“Why should I care?”
This question gains Chiron’s attention.
“Most campers question when they’re going to get claimed by their godly parent.”
I stare at Chiron for a moment as a sense of agitation and anger forms in the bottom of my gut.
“Why would I care about being claimed by a God that never even cared to let me know they existed? One who let me get attacked by some creature, and one who let me be raised by people I thought were my family, but were really just strangers!”
Chiron stares at me with raised eyebrows.
“Y/N, you shouldn’t talk like that. The gods don’t like to be talked badly about.”
That anger has now been built into something big at hearing Chiron’s words.
“I don’t give a flying fuck. If my parent has a problem with the way I talk about them, then they can get off their ass and tell me themselves.”
I spit out at Chiron as I start stomping away from him. After a moment Chiron walks up to me.
“You don’t know where you’re going, do you?”
I huff out in annoyance and throw my hands up, “No!”
I tense up at the feeling of a hand on my shoulder, the same shoulder that is now heavily scarred. Chiron must notice my apprehension as he takes his hand away.
“I know all of this can be a lot, especially after everything you went through. It’s got to be a lot to deal with and you’re anger is understandable. Just try to channel that energy into something production.”
I roll my eyes at his words, “Ya, like what?”
“Whatever interest you have, any hobbies. Something that makes you feel like the old you again.”
I let Chiron’s words hang in the air as we approach a big wooden cabin, with many rowdy kids coming through the huge oak doors.
Chiron leads me up the steps and opens the main door for me to walk through. I was expecting to see something impressive and god-like to go with Greek mythology but all I’m met with is a normal summer camp cabin filled with bunkbeds and kids of all ages.
“Attention campers,” Chiron yells from beside me gaining the cabin's attention and eliciting a groan to escape my lips, “This is Y/N Thomas, she’s had a hard past few weeks here at camp and I want all of you to show her kindness.”
I watch as many of the campers give me weary or questionable looks, whilst others look as if my presence is a mere annoyance but after a moment they all turn around and go back to their previous conversations.
“We’re low on beds at the moment so we have a sleeping bag set up with your things in the corner of the room,” Chiron goes to take his leave but he turns to face me once more, “And Y/N, if you have any more questions please feel free to come to find me. And remember what I said about finding an outlet.”
I stand silently as I watch Chiron exit the cabin, leaving me standing in the entryway by myself.
“Is it comfortable?”
A deep voice comes from behind me and my eyebrows scrunch at the odd question. I turn around to make eye contact with a pair of deep brown eyes. The owner of the brown eyes is a boy who appears to be a little older than me. Brown curly hair hangs over his forehead, in a way that many couldn’t pull off without looking like they’d need a haircut, but somehow he makes it work. The boy has long eyelashes and full pink lips. The last thing that catches my attention is the scar that starts from the bottom of his right eye and stops right above his lips. Lips that have now started to curve into a small smirk. Fuck. Im staring.
“What did you just ask me?”
The boy’s smirk turns into a small smile as he gestures to my hoodie.
“I asked if it is comfortable, you’re sweatshirt,” The boy stops and shrugs his shoulders, “Well technically my sweatshirt.”
I glance down at the grey sweatshirt that covers my torso and a wave of embarrassment flows through me.
“You’re Alastair’s friend?”
I ask him even though I already know the answer.
“Ya, Alastair’s a buddy of mine. He asked to borrow a sweatshirt for one of his patients.”
I stare at the boy for a moment before reaching for the bottom of the sweatshirt and go to lift it realizing this kid probably wants his clothes back and doesn’t want a stranger wearing it. Dread fills me though stopping my movement as I realize that I’m just wearing a tank top underneath this and my bandage would be on show if I were to take the sweatshirt off.
“Hey, don’t worry about giving it back,” The boy takes the bottom of the sweatshirt out of my hands and lets it drop back into place, “You keep it as long as you need.”
I stare at the boy and take a fast step away from him.
“Don’t touch me! I don’t even know who you are.”
The boy stares at me for a moment with an inquisitive look as his eyes shift over my face and then he takes a small step backwards.
“Okay… No touching, got it. My bad,” He stares at me again and smiles, “Luke, my name is Luke Castellan. Counselor of Cabin Eleven. And it is nice to meet you, Y/N Thomas. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood.”

A Fleeting Memory
synopsis: you and keigo meet at a party and play hide and seek, plus almost kiss
note: hawks thoughts are put in italic!
Word count: 1.5k
“Hawks do you have any friends, at all?”
this was an out of the blue question and kinda offensive coming from a worker of the P.S.C.
“Why do you ask..?”
the worker sighed softly, “Well you see, my daughter is throwing this house party but apparently she ‘doesn’t have enough people’. So I was wondering if you wanted to spread your wings a little?”
keigo faltered for a minute, thinking it over.
“oh…I’d like that a lot.”
replied Keigo Takami, the boy with no friends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
why was Keigo doing this?
he was never really interested in the party life so what’s the point of going to some random girls party just cause?
because he was terribly lonely that’s why.
“Alright hawks were here!”
the worker named “Akari” said
“Let’s hope you have fun yeah? I have to go back to the work place so don’t do anything stupid while I’m not here!”
shutting the car door then walking up to the door, his nerves on fire, then knocking.
before he could even get to the next knock, a good looking girl threw open the door.
“Aha! Takada your here!” the girl yelled.
the only thing going through hawks mind right about now is “who the hell is takada??”
the girl grabbed his hand a dragged him into a nice a warm living room.
“Everyone, this is Takada! my dads co-worker.”
oh so Takada is a fake name? could’ve been a little more creative.
the group excitedly starts cheering, very nice of them to do to a stranger….
“Okay so, Takada, let me introduce you to everyone.” The girl then starts pointing at everyone one at a time, “The brown haired one is Aoi, that’s Ayaka, this is Hiroto, keiko, akimitsu, and-“
holy mackerel who the hell is that…
“This is y/n, and I’m Habiki!”
careless whispers must be playing right about now because that is the most jaw dropping mouth watering- oh god their coming towards me.
“Hey there, come around her often?”
the girl named y/n joked.
What do I say? holy wow she’s so cute…what if she thinks a look stupid?? Do my wings look goo-
“Earth to Takada?” She laughed.
Takada? Oh wait that’s me.
“A-Ah y-yea I come here all the time!”
okay now what the hell was that keigo.
“How old are you? If you don’t mind me asking of course…” she spoke softly towards the end.
“15.” Keigo barked back immediately.
“That means I’m one year older than you!” She said cheerfully.
“So you’re 16?”
of course she’s 16 she literally just implied that.
“Yep! I’ll be 17 in (birth month), when’s your birthday?”
god I love her voice.
“It’s uh…December…”
“That means you’re a Capricorn! Ever been interested in astrology?” She asked.
“I…uhm..”
Before keigo could respond suddenly the girls name was called.
“Y/n! Come write these names!” The girl named…Aoi? yelled across the room.
“Eh? But why I’m talking to Takada!?”
“Because your hand writing is the prettiest!” The girl yelled angrily.
Everything about her is pretty, of course her hand writing would be too…and what the hell is astrology…?
“darn…I’ll be right back Takada!” She bounced off towards the kitchen to help with something, while hawks sat on the couch, patiently waiting for her to come back.
during this period multiple people came up to hawks speaking to him briefly, not as interesting as y/n though…
Habiki suddenly came out of nowhere shoving a hat filled with paper in hawks face…”Draw!” She barked.
Hawks took out a piece and then slowly unraveled it. It said…hider?
what the hell does that mean.
“Okay everyone has drawn from the hat of the wolves and sheep!” Habiki said.
what the hell does that have to do with hiding..?
“We…shall be playing… HIDE AND SEEK!!” Habiki said full of energy.
what’s the hell is a hide and seek?!
Then softly a hand tapped hawks shoulder… y/n did.
“You know how to play right? Just find a hiding place until someone finds you.” She said quietly as if not to embarrass him about the fact he didn’t know what hide and seek was.
your a damn angel I swear.
“Now our seekers are Aoi and Hiroto shall be seeking, So go and hide quickly!” Habiki said loud.
They suddenly start a timer and everyone separates to hide while hawks is left in shock.
wait how the hell am I supposed to hide with thews big wings?!
Hawks quickly leapt from the couch booking it towards the stairs.
Maybe I could hide under some bed covers? But that’d only work if they were messed up.
Hawks quickly peeked into a room and..the bed sheets were a mess!
“Bingo.”
Hawks dives into the covers like a kitten playing with a cat toys, throwing himself under only to met with..you.
“shit! You scared me Takada…” y/n said quietly.
shit…should I leave? No there’s no more time left to hide what do I d-
“No worries you can hide with me.” She smiled sheepishly.
god i wanna marry you.
“T-thanks…I would’ve been a cooked bird if you pushed me out.” Hawks said in a whisper level.
“We never got to continue talking..”
“y-yea?”
“Mhm…”
Awkward.
Suddenly there was loud running up the stairs, “FOUND YOU HABIKI!”
“…”
“…”
“I suppose habiki got caught…”
“And we’ll get caught if you keep speaking so loud, Takada.”
won’t lie that was kinda hot.
“m’sorry..”
“…”
at this point your staring into hawks soul, what are you thinking? hawks definitely doesn’t know.
“Can you feel anything that touches your wings? Kinda like an extra arm?”
random but okay.
“uhm…I don’t know..”
“Can I touch them?”
HOLY MARCELLO SHE WANTS TO TOUCH ME. not like that hawks. Chillax go with the flo-
“They look so soft..n’pretty..”
is it getting hot under these sheets or is it just me…
“y-yea I’m okay with that…”
“Really?” She lights up.
She slowly moves the caress the top joint of his wings.
“Fuck, that feels nice.”
“They’re so soft..” she stops, “thanks for letting me touch them..”
Wait that was it? Cmon touch a little more…!
“It felt good..kinda like when someone massages your temple?” Hawks says.
“Your name isn’t actually Takada is it?”
okay now what the holy hel, how in the world did she know-
“You’re too pretty to be just a Takada…”
She says softly.
oh thank the lord she’s just trying to flirt with me.
“N-nah that’s my real name! I think…”
He mumbles off into a sentence that can’t be heard.
“What was that?”
“I said that your….” He mumbles off again.
“One more time?”
“Isaidthatyourprettytoo….” He says far too quickly with a red face.
“I-I..well thank you…” she blushes brightly.
Her face is so red. I wanna kiss her. She so pretty, so nervous, so nice, please kiss me, please kiss me, please kiss me.
“please kiss me.”
KEIGO WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU SAY THAT ALOUD??
“O-oh gosh..your quite forward aren’t you??” you whisper yell.
“M’sorry! I-i didn’t mean to say that aloud!”
Hawks rambles trying to save himself.
“H-hey it’s okay! I mean I definitely wouldn’t mind b-but..!” She says quickly, and loud.
Hawks tries to hide his red face in his wing, unable to face the situation at hand.
“M’really sorry..”
“you don’t have to be sorry…” she softly touches the side of his face.
uh oh.
“I-I wouldn’t mind..”
Hawks faces you with a bright red face and slightly teary eyes from the embarrassment.
“would this be your first kiss, Takada?”
AHHHHHHHHHHHH-
“y-yes ma’am…” hawks says softly then turning his face back to his wing.
“Ma’am?” You say confused, “m’only a year older than you..”
you never know I might like older women, I mean I definitely like you.
“Takada?”
“Y-yes?” Hawks says.
“how bad do you want to kiss me out of ten?” You say quietly.
“so bad…” hawks says softly.
you slowly part your lips aiming towards his
fuck she’s so close, she smells so good, her breath smells..minty? oh god she’s gonna kiss me.
Hawks face gets redder and redder, parting his lips until-
“TAKADA I SEE YOUR WING!”
shit, did it bust out of the covers? Damn this guy for real ruined the whole moment.
“looks like you got caught, pretty bird” you says quietly, So, so close to the place hawks wanted you the most.
If hawks died right now- actually he feels like he just did. You so close calling him these names-
“TAKADA GET OUT OF THE BED WE FOUND YOU!” Aoi screamed.
Hawks jumps out of the covers, still hiding you.
“Fine, fine, you caught me…” he said jokingly
“You okay Takada? Your face is really red..” Aoi said with concern.
“Just being under the covers for so long…no need to worry.” Hawks said quickly.
Then after the game the two of you didn’t even speak of the cover situation, the hawks had to leave. Waving off everyone then getting into Akari’s car, his eyes lingering on you while they drives off.
“So, hawks, how did spreading your wings go?” Akira said.
wonderful, I thank you for me meeting my future wife. Next time I see that amazing beautiful angel I’ll give her a million kisses and then call her-
“SHIT!” hawks screamed.
“WHAT, WHAT HAPPENED?” Akira yelled.
Hawks pouted sadly.
“I forgot to ask for her number.”
At least keigo could live with the memory of your beauty.
The first time Yusuke verbally recognized another boy to be good looking, that was Shishiwakamaru who was an enemy back then and someone who was arrogant and picking a fight with Team Urameshi. Instead of complimenting his looks, Yusuke used it as an insult instead. He was a teenager and seeing someone attractive be an asshole towards him and his friends made him want to insult that attractiveness fast and sure to stop it.
Fast forward to current events, Yusuke joined his friends and allies in training at Genkai's temple before the next Makai Tournament.
Once, Yusuke halted them all in the middle of training because he said loud enough for everyone to hear, "Shishiwaka is actually really pretty" while they were all sparring and Yusuke was watching them beside Kurama. "But not as pretty as Kurama. Kurama is beautiful in either of his forms."
Shishiwakamaru felt flustered and reacted aggressively before running off away from Yusuke. He was used to compliments from girls. He had an entire fan club back in the Dark Tournament. But he was not used to getting compliments from boys and especially not Yusuke Urameshi. All of his friends who fought Team Urameshi before have unquestionable loyalty to Yusuke but Shishiwakamaru never fought him. He didn't understand everyone's devotion to the boy but one compliment turned him speechless and he didn't know how else to take it so he ran away.
Since then, compliments from Yusuke became frequent. Kurama's hair was beautiful and smooth whether red or silver; Hiei, who visited them once, was called cute and he got a punch in Yusuke for that but Yusuke laughed and said it was worth it to see him blush; Chu's muscles were firm no matter how much he drank (Yusuke emphasized this by pressing fingers on his abs and Chu was more than happy to flex); Jin's eyes were bright and his smile was gorgeous and his ears kept twitching the entire day from those words out of Yusuke's mouth; Kuwabara, who will be joining the next Tournament too, was noticed for his broad and strong chest that Yusuke cupped in order to measure them, something he told Kuwabara was part of training when Kuwabara was embarrassed and tried to protest.
When Keiko and Botan came to visit, things went south but only for Yusuke.
"He's been groping all of you and you just let him???" Keiko was fuming when she knew. "Oh, that pervert! You spoil him too much!"
"He said it's part of training!" Kuwabara tried to explain while Botan shook her head beside Keiko. "So he measures my pectorals and touches Chu's stomach. He also touched Jin's ears and brushes Kurama's hair. Is that really groping?"
"He also tried to touch Hiei's cute butt," Kurama added, remembering when Yusuke got punched by the smaller demon but he looked too pleased to be bothered by it while touching the tips of his smooth beautiful red hair.
"I get it," Botan said, staring at Kurama. "You let Yusuke get away with all of these because you foxes are vain! You just like him praising you, don't you, Kurama?"
"You knew all along?" Kuwabara gasped.
"Well..." Kurama fiddled with his healthy well taken care of hair even more. If he was in his silver form, his fox tail would be wagging excitedly behind him. "It's true, if I didn't want him touching and praising my hair he could be with Karasu by now."
And everyone shuddered.
"I guess if it's fine for you, then nothing's wrong about it," Keiko shrugged. She couldn't fault them. It did feel good to have Yusuke's attention and praise when it didn't embarrass her.
"It's not okay for me!" Kuwabara exclaimed, his face as red as a baboon's ass. "That jerk! He actually made me think that was training. I'm kicking his ass!"
And then Kuwabara stormed off to look for Yusuke somewhere in the temple. Later after they were done with the punching and the kicking, he told Yusuke he was welcome to touch if he was honest about it while blushing from his scalp down to his chest. In the following training sessions, Yusuke was still complimenting them but he was more honest in his touches. Honesty, though, was still getting him a punch from Hiei but everyone assumed they liked the physical contact too much to stop them.
🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
I was gonna say Drifter/Eris and that they both smell really weird in very different ways...
But let's be honest I gotta go Megarox. Megamind is a flower eater, he enjoys nectar, and Roxanne can and will encourage this, usually by bringing him flowers or when they go on walks in parks together (night walks, naturally. Those are the best kind), she plucks flowers and feeds them to him, usually by shoving them in his face because she is a terrible gremlin and it's why we love her.
🪐 ⇢ name three good things going on in your life right now
My wife came out to a bunch of our friends and they are all so loving and supportive! She smiles so much now!
We are getting a patio installed out the back! It only took 7 years but finally we can eat out there without having to balance on gravel
There is a very cute cat loafing beside me
🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character
This is not me trying to yuck anyone's yum but I really, really cannot stand casting Megamind and Roxanne in parental roles for Keiko or her calling them her parents. It squicks me out to the point of repulsion. I am all for feral aunt and uncle to a wild niece, but fun characters who are NOT reduced to parenting (reluctant or otherwise) in sequels are so few and far between that I just don't want to see it. They can be supportive and caring without having to force everyone into Nuclear Family Unit.
And sure, a lot of this stems from growing up with the expectation in both media and irl that of COURSE becoming a parent is the only outcome for you. But that doesn't make it any less of an ick! We SHOULD be getting more non nuclear family options, we SHOULD be getting more it takes a village. But if your only approach to setting characters up as a family is to make them "Here is the mummy and here is the daddy and here is the baby" just no. Please. There are a thousand more possibilities there, open your mind.
🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity
Go for a walk, take some music with you, or do dishes or sweep (also with music).
Additionally, if you're wanting to write something but are holding off to find out if future canon will change things, stop waiting. Just go. Do you think we'd have anywhere near the creativity and wildness of fanfic if we had to stop and wait for canon's blessing every time. it's FANFIC! Who fucking cares if canon contradicts you down the track, it's not gonna be any less fanfic for waiting!
(I do think we actually saw a drop in the level of creativity and engagement with fandom ideas when the show was announced, which is a bummer. Kill the cop in your brain. Write shit that will be immediately contradicted, have someone come to your completely disproven fic years down the line and go "I thought this was going to not work because we know X but holy shit this is a whole new way of looking at things!")
🦋 ⇢ share something that has been on your heart and mind lately
I uh....no thoughts, head empty. How do I stop my cat attacking me for wearing jeans in the house? I got my other rants out up above so... *le shrug*
:green beetle: ⇢ add 50 words to your current wip and share the paragraph here (emoji is not working for me smh)
Oh you sneaky little shit, you got me writing!
(context: Look we aint supposed to let the prisoners get gifts. There's a whole chapter in the handbook about what happened last time we let the kid get so much as a bobby pin.
But you tell me how I'm meant to turn down such a sweet little old lady when she comes in with two pristine old shoe boxes, all carefully packed with tissue and hands one to the kid and the other to the repoter and with a quavery little voice about how she and her husband, god rest his soul, used to go dancing every saturday night for almost forty years and how they entered the ameature ballroom competitions together. Told us they were the last pairs they brought together, before the cancer took him and oh she'd never get these on over her bunions now but it would do her old heart good to see some use coming to these shoes which hadn't seen the light of day in nigh on twenty years.)
There's only so much a man can take right before retirement.
I might have been able to hold her off if she hadn't handed one of the boxes to Miss Primetime, who looked really touched and immediately buckled herself into a pair of sparkly red shoes to the encouragement of all the old biddies.
So now the kid's the proud owner of a pair of actual ballroom dance shoes, all polished black to go with the bright orange jumpsuit.
Keiko's Thoughts on Ōta Division
Chinami Chinen
"I've heard of Chinami-san from Kira-san. Apparently, she thinks very highly of her older sister. She works as a soothsayer, or a fortune-teller. I'll admit, at first I thought she was some sort of con artist, but some of my classmates say that her fortunes are actually real! Admittedly, most of their questions revolve around things you'd hear from students, like boyfriends, girlfriends, whether they're going to pass a test, be Homecoming Queen or King, or other things of that nature. Me, if possible, I'd like to ask her just who exactly my father is and why all the adults in my life seem to hide him from me..."
Kira Chinen
"Believe it or not, I actually admire and respect Kira-san. I heard that she took over the position of Vice Chief of the Administrative Inspection Bureau after the former woman was arrested. I don't know much about what her position entails, but from what Nemu-san tells me, she basically controls much of what goes in and out of Japan, which makes her one of the most powerful women in all of Chuohku, let alone the country."
"Besides that, despite how she may act when she is off the clock, when she steps into Chuohku and dons her uniform, Kira-san is all about business. I don't know much about her save the fact that she used to serve in the army and now works as a police investigator. She's a definite step-up from Jyuto-san of Yokohama. She can be a little... demanding when it comes to making plans. She likes to be very thorough. I admire that, though I wish she would relax at times..."
Taria Chinen
"Ugh, and here we have my least favorite of this team. Unlike her older sisters, who are exactly doing things to help Japan and its people, she would prefer to spend her time performing little magic tricks and such. I'm not demeaning her or anything. I know she used to be part of a circus troupe, but you'd think she'd have something else to show for it. Plus, I've been hearing a lot about this supposed thief called, "The Misfit in Action". And this girl's MC name is "Misfit."
"I don't want to accuse her of anything, but if she is that thief everyone's been talking about, then I'd better report her to Kira-san, so she can do something about."
Birds of Prey
"A sibling team... just like Ichiro-san and his younger brothers. Unlike them though, I'm a bit perplexed as to the reasons for why they're entering. Apparently, it's because Chinami-san refused Otome-sama's offer to be her personal soothsayer. ...That's shocking, to say the least. I didn't think the Prime Minister actually believed in fortunes. But if Chinami-san's fortunes are as good as everyone makes them out to be, I can see why the Prime Minister would want access to them. I don't know why Chinami-san refused. Working for the Prime Minister should be an honor that everyone should accept. I wonder how Kira-san is taking this..."
"But regardless, facing this team will be difficult, especially if Chinami-san decides to use her fortunes to help her win. ...I wonder... is this why the Prime Minister forced her to join the D.R.B.? To see her powers up close? If so, it is incredibly wise of her. ...I just hope my friends and I aren't the first team they'll be facing..."
Prompts:"Im surrounded by Idiots." "At least we're hot!."
"Why is there a banana in my drink?."
"Well, that didn't go as planned..."
Its finally Summer vacation in the USA!. The boys were setting up the lair so that when the visitor came over, it wouldn't look like a tornado hit.
"Be ready my Brethren, for the beautiful maiden that resides on the other side of the world is going to call me." Donatello told his brothers dramatically.
Leo meanwhile was texting his crush Keiko,"We hear ya bro. Also uh in 5 minutes Kiki gonna call!. Lets clean up real quick!."
After few minutes of cleaning, the computer screen pops up from Shelldon with a video call incoming.
Donnie was hiding in his shell while the screen lights up, Mitsuri was there, attempting to stop Lilly from confiscating her coffee.
Raph however just sighs and facepalms watching this chaos unfold."What happened to the plan Dee?. Raphs confused!."
Mikey laughed sheepishly as he did see Lilly for a moment,"Well I guess you could say chaos was the only plan."
Keiko then slipped into the screen,"Okay so uh plan was kinda a bust?. I thought we all having screen time."
Leo just facepalms,"Well, lets just say our plan was never a plan." He tried to tell her while hiding his blushing face.
Suddenly Mitsuri was chasing Lilly out the room,"GIMME MY SURVIVAL POTION!."
Was all that everyone heard before Luna pops up behind Keiko looking rather confused and sleep deprived.
Luna looks to where the two ran off then to the monitor then slumps into her bean bag chair,"Well, that didn't go as planned."
Keiko looked at her incredulously,"How did you even know it was a plan?!."
Luna huffs a chuckle while off screen due to her been shy."I didn't, I guessed it. That and Mitsuri is one of those that always had a plan and all I saw was chaos."
Donnie popped out from his shell blushing beet red from embarrassment,"The one time I had a perfect plan!....Im surrounded by idiots!."
Leo then dunked a bucket of water over Donnies head,"But at least we are hot!."
Mitsuri was heard suddenly from the monitor in the background,"Why is there a banana in my drink?!. I asked for papaya!."
Keiko was on the floor laughing at this fiasco while Luna just groans pulling her hoodie over her face,"I don't know them. They just happened to be here when you called.
Raph just chuckled at her comment,"Is okay. Raph gets it. See you soon Lulu!."
Luna fluffs up from hearing Keiko laugh at the cute nickname.
Soon after that the call was ended by Luna who was gonna chase Keiko for been an idiot.
~•Chaos was all that happened when there was supposed to be a plan.•~
CHAPTER 1
Keiko’s POV
Seeing you walk away was too much for me to handle; for each and every step you took, every distance you make, it was as if you were taking my breath with you. I was suffocating.
Slowly, I was losing sight of the only, most beautiful thing I've ever seen all my life.
Painfully, my soul was crushed.
The feeling was terrible. It was tearing me apart inside, little by little.
And just like that, these tears that I never knew existed, fell.
I wanted to run to you. I wanted to wrap my arms around you. I wanted to scream your name. I wanted to hold you, pull you back, pull you closer and never let go.
But no. I was standing there like a brick wall. I couldn't move, I couldn't think. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say.
But if there's one thing I did know.. this pain was slowly killing me.
**---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**
THREE YEARS LATER
It was mid-day. The sun beamed through the window. Keiko woke up at the sound of her cell phone ringing.
Someone was calling.
The name "Ayame" flashed on the screen. Keiko didn't answer the call, letting it ring until it stopped.
Then a text message popped up.
****
From: Ayame
Hey Keiko! Where are you? Why didn't you come to class? Are you okay? Call me.
****
"It's this late?? I should've been at school. " She’s in trouble, she thought to herself as she had never missed classes before nor had she ever skipped one.
But in a split second, that suddenly didn't matter. The memory she had from that night flashed in her mind. Again.
As the moment played back in her memory, the familiar pain burned through her chest.
The next thing she knew, the tears that had been in favor of torturing her eyes, fell again.
These tears, this pain, this pathetic situation she’s in will not change anything. It’s not like it’s going to bring him back. So why the hell was she acting like all these sulking will do the trick?
She laid flat on her bed, with immense regret pouring down like rain. Thinking of how stupid she was for not doing something to make him change his mind.
All her life she had always found ways to get what she desired; like having good grades for example, being the best in class among all the students at her school, and getting great friends, -stuff like that. The point is, she didn’t let herself down. But why couldn't she have him?
And why? Why is it that for a brief moment, she thought she'd always be happy for the rest of her life?
And now, it’s kind of ironic how in every waking hour, she'd have to convince herself that he'll see the light and show up on her door, apologize, pull her close, wrap his arms around her, and tell her he'll stay, for good.
‘I'm suffocating. Just thinking about that kills me.’ she thought.
Finally, Keiko got up, walked to the bathroom, and stared at the mirror for what seemed like forever.
Her eyes, they're swollen. Though that's not new to her anymore.
Those eyes.. those eyes used to see him. Those eyes used to gleam, and sparkle whenever she smiled because of him. But now, they’re empty and lifeless. Those eyes used to close whenever she kissed him.
Kiss. Her lips used to do that. But now, they're crusty and pale.
She sighed, taking in every bit of her image through the mirror.
‘This face’ she thought ‘It's boring and lifeless. But that doesn’t matter anymore. Because you're not here. Are you?’ She asked in the air.
Once again, she sighed. It was time to clean up, she still had to go to class.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AN HOUR LATER
The school bell rang, and everybody was in their usual element, chattering the day away.
It was April, everyone seemed like they couldn’t wait to play their silly April Fool's prank on people.
The atmosphere was calm, and happy, given that she's going to an all girl's school made it easy to avoid a rowdy crowd.
Though on the latter part, even if it's not April, Keiko believed she’ll never get used to such a happy atmosphere.
"Keiko!" she turned to the sound of someone calling. It was Ayame, walking in her direction.
"There you are! Where have you been, crazy! What happened to you?"
'Great. I am so in the mood for answering questions!' she sarcastically thought.
"I overslept. I forgot to set my alarm." Keiko answered.
"Right. Like I'm supposed to believe that." Ayame teased.
Keiko chuckled at her response.
Ayame knows what she’s been about.
Though she may not be the kind of person Keiko would share things with by choice, she still found the need to let it out.
Surely, there was Kuwabara, and Shizuru. They would understand what she's going through in a heartbeat.
But they are too focused on making a better future. How can she burden them with her troubles?
There was always Genkai.
But what could the old woman say to her to make her feel better?
Genkai was a woman of truth and practicality.
Keiko was willing to bet on the fact that all she will hear from Genkai is for her to move on with her life and stop dealing with his absence.
Also, Genkai lives in the mountains.
As a student council president, she didn't have the leisure of spending every weekend on hours of train ride just for the sake of having a shoulder to cry on.
Atsuko, on the other hand, doesn't have any clue of his reality.
Sure, she frequently visits to make sure she was okay, and that she wasn't drowning herself with alcohol every now and then.
But Keiko cannot simply tell her how she feels if she cannot be completely honest of what her son was truly up against.
So that leaves Atsuko out of the picture.
And there was Ayame, always waiting for her to open up about what has been going on in her head.
"So what happened this morning? Am I in trouble?" Keiko worried.
"No. Stop overreacting. You only missed 2 subjects and then there's everyone else who’s been missing the entire term." She joked as she poked Keiko's shoulder.
But what Ayame said reminded Keiko of him. Even she couldn't keep the thought of him away.
"But hey, I've got news to change your mood." She began, as they walked down the hall.
"What?"
"First, Mr. Takanaka's looking for you. He wants the reports from last week's meeting at his table today by 5:30. He thought you weren't gonna show up today though.."
"Okay. Thanks. And?"
"And, the exchange students are here from the Academy."
"Okay. I'll just check in with Mr. Takanaka later."
"Err too late. They are already here. They started classes today. One, in particular, sat at your desk this morning by the way."
"What? Wow. Please remind me never to skip classes again." They both laughed as they entered the next class.
"He's very cute by the way! He did mention something yesterday about being single!" Ayame said, nodging Keiko.
"As if Keiko would be interested. It's like you're trying to play matchmaker with a bachelor and a brick wall, no offense" another female said, pointing to Keiko.
"Yeah what's up with that Keiko? Why are you so allergic to guys?"
"Standards are too high, I think."
"She's still waiting for prince charming to sweep her off her feet."
Her friends joked as she stayed silent throughout the conversation.
'She's still waiting for Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet." She repeated the comment in her head.
Little did they know, she really was waiting for a certain Prince, to sweep her off her feet.
'How ironic.' she thought.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6:00 PM | SAME DAY.
"Thank You, Ms Yukimura. You may go home now." Mr. Takanaka bid as she handed him some files.
She smiled at him in return and turned to the door. But before she could touch the knob, it slowly turned and the door opened.
On the other side was a boy, just around her age. She has never seen him before, he must be the new student.
He greeted her with a smile as he entered the room.
"Ahh, Miss Yukimura. Before you leave, I would like you to meet Mikuri Moto. He's one of the exchange students from Meiou Academy. He's the Academy Representative” Mr. Takanaka explained.
"Miss Yukimura, ofcourse! You're the Student Council President, I'm pleased to meet you."
"Likewise Mr. Moto." Keiko greeted with a smile.
"Please, just call me Mikuri, Ms. Yukimura." he insisted.
"Keiko. Just Keiko. Nice to meet you Mikuri. I'm sure you'll like it here."
"For sure! With a student council president like you, I definitely will love it here!" He smirked.
Keiko smiled softly, but there was something behind his response that made her feel uncomfortable.
She shrugged and bid him goodbye, and went straight home.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was midnight. She was too tired from doing her homework for the past couple of hours.
The silence of the room was broken by a phone call.
Only a phone number flashed on the screen.
"Who could this be?" she thought. She found it irritating for someone 'unimportant' to be calling her this late.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hello?" she repeated. No answer came back. She hung up.
"Jerk" she murmured.
The sound of a flipped page of a notebook, the ticking of the clock, the sound of a horn of a vehicle on the nearest highway somewhere, the sound of her breathing, the sound of her heartbeat, and the funny silence of the room, were all killing her.
She sighed. Nonchalantly putting down the notebook she had been reading for the past hour.
"I'm tired. I guess that's enough for tonight" she said to herself.
She got up, crawled onto the bed, and tucked herself under the warm blanket.
After a long day, it was nice to find comfort under her sheets.
Slowly, her eyes closed. Slowly, she drifted off to sleep.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The weather was cold. It rained in the morning.
Rushing home was the only thing she looked forward to this day.
Reaching her home, she noticed that their restaurant was not open. Her family owned a small Diner in the neighborhood.
Odd, she thought as her father didn't say anything about not opening today.
"Im home!" she greeted. But no one answered back.
"Mom? Dad?" she called, searching the house.
"Are you guys home?" Still, no answer came. Maybe they went somewhere, she thought.
"Well, they could've told me." She shrugged and went straight up to her bedroom.
She was cold, "A hot bath and a cup of hot coffee sounds good right now."
But before she could touch the doorknob in her room, a sound of a fallen object was heard behind the door.
She stopped. Could it be her Mother? or her Father perhaps?
"Mom?" she whispered, noticing that her door was slightly open.
"Mom?" she called as she entered her room. But to her surprise, the room was dark.
The only light she could see was the light outside shining through the window.
She felt scared. No one was in there.
"M-mom? Dad?" she panted.
But then, something suddenly came out of the darkness and strangled her from behind, covering her mouth with what seemed like a hand.
She struggled. But the suspect was too strong for her.
She kicked and fought, using everything humanly possible to defend herself, but she was thrown across the room.
Pulling herself together, completely dazed, she saw the tall, dark figure slowly approaching her.
It was a man. Looks like he’s in his late 30's, she guessed.
Who was he? What does he want?
With nowhere to run, he picked her up and pinned her against the wall.
"What am I gonna do?? What am I gonna do?" she thought to herself in panic.
He stared with those eyes, -those piercing eyes burying his look on her. It was the most frightening eyes she had ever seen.
"Yusuke.." she yelped.
The man in front grinned, hearing her call for him. It seemed to make him feel excited as this had him pinning her harder against the wall.
"Y-YUSUKE!" She cried.
Within a split second, he threw her across the room, and quickly ran in her direction, pulling out a pocket knife from his pocket.
"YUSUKE HELP!!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--She got away from the chair in adrenaline, falling to the floor.
Panting, chasing her breath, sweating.
It was a dream. It was just a dream.
With caution, she looked around the room making sure that there was no one else there, but her.
She sighed in relief, realizing she fell asleep while studying her homework.
She chuckled in disbelief. This was the first time that it happened.
She got up and fixed herself, picked up her cell phone, and laid on the bed.
Looking at the screen, it was past three in the morning.
"oh wow.." she sighed as she rolled under the blanket and tried to fall asleep.
But the dream a while ago flashed. It was a weird dream. “Stupid-weird”.
Could it mean something? She paused. It was strange.
Wanting to make sense of it, she thought maybe it reflected the situation she was in: Feeling alone, and helpless in a dark room with her monster, desperately wanting to be saved by him.
Suddenly, she humphed, as she found it funny how even in dreams, -even in the weirdest dreams, she still called for him.
"I'm right," she whispered.
"I’m never gonna get used to this. Never." She sighed.
And with that, she fell fast asleep.
------------------------------------------------------------------
2 MONTHS LATER
It was a busy day at school.
Keiko was too caught up with schoolwork and council activities.
She hardly had time to hang out with her friends, as the past few weeks had been hard on her.
Though this kind of routine wasn't exactly new to her, it was just that she wasn’t what she used to be, unlike when she had all the spirit to do what she does, when she had every motivation she can find, when she was once inspired.
But all that seemed to have disappeared.
She hated it. She hated how all along, she wasn't depending on herself, but on the one person she always knew she loved as much as she loved herself.
The coldness of the room touched her skin.
The light of the sun setting lit through the glass window.
She looked up at the orange sky that was slowly fading away.
Sunset. She scoffed. There was that uneasy feeling rising from her again.
She looked down, her face turned dim.
"Sunset," she thought as she found herself reminiscing about the past.
Sunset. That one sunset she'd never forget.
---------
The scent of the ocean lingered around her nose.
The sun setting across the horizon lit the shore.
The wind caressed her long chestnut brown hair.
The sound of the waves echoing.
The breeze of the wind whistling, and the laughter of her friends as they played tag in the sand was music to her ears.
His eyes. His eyes stared into the water.
His smile, -his beautiful smile was so carefree.
His arms wrapped around her as they sat on the shore.
He always made her feel so secure.
Her head laid across his chest as she listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat.
She decided it was her favorite sound in the world.
His warm breath touched her cheeks, and she slowly turned to face him, giving him a warm smile.
As he returned the gesture, he moved closer to her face and kissed her passionately.
Right there, she decided that this was the best sunset she ever had.
--------
And she was right. So far, it was the best sunset she has ever had, doubting it'll happen again.
She was lost for a moment, quickly brushing the thoughts away.
Neatly, she piled the papers in order and left the room.
It was almost dark outside. She should be getting home.
She turned the lock and wore her bag over her shoulder.
"Hi!" A male voice greeted.
Looking up, she saw a familiar face smiling at her.
"Hi. Mikuri it's you." she turned.
He chuckled. "Yes, I'm sorry to startle you."
"No problem. It's late, why are you still here?" she asked.
"I knew you were still here so I figured I'd wait and walk you home. It's dangerous for a woman like you to be going home this late."
He said. This caught her off guard, she wasn't exactly comfortable about it but she found him nice enough to do that for her.
"Oh. T-thank you, Mikuri. That's really nice of you." She smiled back.
The two walked out of the school and down the streets of the highway.
"This is really awkward." She thought.
Keiko was not the type of girl who likes hanging around with guys she doesn't like.
She keeps a few good friends and she's perfectly happy with them, but being stuck with someone she barely knew gave her the creeps.
"So, Keiko. You always come home this late?" He began, wanting to break the silence.
"Uhh, most times, yes. I'm used to it though." she smiled.
"Well if you want I could always walk you home, you know. I wouldn't mind." he proposed.
"Thank you, that's really nice of you to offer Mikuri, but I'm fine." she rejected.
"No really, I'm okay with that, I can wait and walk you home every day. I really wouldn’t mind." he offered still.
This is one of the many things that get to her nerves easily. She has zero patience and tolerance for pushy guys such as this one.
'Man, take a hint!' she thought.
"Seriously, I'm fine. You don't have to do that for me. I sense that you just want to earn my friendship but, hey, you can do that in many different ways." she said, hoping she didn't offend him.
He chuckled. 'what's so funny?' she thought.
"You read people good enough Keiko. I'm impressed."
Crossing her eyebrows, she thought 'Huh? Where did that come from? This guy is weird'
She smiled at him in return for the statement.
"But on a serious note," He paused and stopped her from walking, taking his hand out of his pocket and inviting Keiko to an open handshake.
"I'd really like to be your friend." he continued.
Keiko stopped in all confusion. Mikuri seemed nice, and he seemed like a gentleman.
'It's not so bad, Keiko' She reminded herself.
It wasn't because she didn't want to make friends.
Why wouldn't she?
But it was because every time she was about to make friends with the opposite sex, it always felt like she was betraying him.
The feeling doesn't make any sense.
But it always managed to stop her, successfully.
She sighed and carefully reached for his hand.
"Why not?" she smiled.
"Well, this is me," she said as they reached her front door.
"Your family owns a restaurant? Wow."
"It’s a diner. You wanna come in?" She offered. But deep down, she wanted him to leave.
"Hey, Keiko, who's your new friend here?" A voice from behind the door asked. 'Oh thank goodness!' she whispered in relief.
"Oh, Hi Dad, this is Makuri, he's a new student at school. He was just walking me home" she said.
"A new male student? How did that happen? No offense" Slyly directing to the young boy.
"I'm only an exchange student, sir." Mikuri responded with a smile.
"I see. Oh, well that's nice of you young man, Thank you for walking my sweetheart home." Her father regarded.
"No problem sir." he smiled back.
This time, Keiko was giving her Dad the “please make him leave" look.
"Honey, you look tired. Why don't you go in and rest? You don't have to help out at the kitchen. We can handle ourselves." Mr. Yukimura insisted.
"Okay. Thanks, Dad, I needed that." Keiko smiled.
"What about you, young man? Would you like to come in?" Mr. Yukimura asked.
"Oh no thank you, Sir. I should be heading home." Mikuri returned.
"Alright! Go home safely!" Mr. Yukimura bid.
"I'll see you tomorrow then." Mukuri said, turning to Keiko.
"Sure!" Keiko replied.
After Mikuri left, Keiko looked at her Dad and thanked him for saving her.
Mr. Yukimura felt a strange feeling in his gut as he watched the young boy walk away.
At one point, he was surprised that Keiko had finally made friends with someone new, referring to Keiko’s old friends such as Kuwabara, and Yusuke.
He was aware that Yusuke had to leave, but Keiko didn’t want to talk about him, later realizing his absence had caused a great deal of depression to fall on his daughter when he left.
He wasn’t happy about it, but it did seem like the only thing that can make her feel better at the same time.
He knew the boy, ever since him and Keiko were four years old.
He knew all too well how their relationship progressed over the years.
Was he angry that he caused his daughter such pain?
Yes. But what could he do? His own daughter didn’t want to move on, let alone hang out with anyone else.
Keiko was smart, he was sure of that.
He is just hoping that she is smart enough to pick herself up from this mess.
“Keiko, honey. Are you alright?” Asked Mr. Yukimura
“Yes Dad, I am.” Knowing what her father had truly meant by the question, she only smiled.
“Keiko, I know, this isn’t a good time, but, I am happy you’re finally hanging out with someone.” Mr. Yukimura nervously commented, knowing this might give the wrong impression to his daughter.
Keiko was silent. She didn’t know what to say.
Although she wanted to tell him it wasn’t going to be permanent, and that he shouldn’t keep his hopes up, but she also didn’t want to break his heart, after hearing him say that ‘he was happy’.
How could she take that away from him?
Sure, her father just wanted whatever is best for her, and that includes her happiness, wherever, and whomever it may come from.
She knew he was hurting too, he was there, as he watched her smile fade, and life slowly disappeared in her eyes, ever since that day.
She felt guilty.
But she wouldn’t dare have it any other way.
Nothing in the world made sense anymore. So why would she bother?
--------
10:00 PM | SAME NIGHT
"a-n-x-i-e-t-y anxiety, Japanese word, shinpai."
"p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e patience, Japanese word, tamerai"
"h-e-s-i-t-a-t-i-o-n hesitation, Japanese.. gaman"
Sitting at her desk reviewing her studies, she sighed.
She picked up her cellphone and stared at the dial pad, for what seemed like minutes.
She had tried calling the same number too many times before, to no avail.
It came to a point where she pretended to be talking to someone on the other line when she felt lonely, and when she felt the need to talk to someone who mattered.
But it’s been quite some time since it happened. Would she try again?
'It's no use.' she thought as she gently put her phone down.
It was pathetic. She was aware of that. But so what?
She stood up and walked across the room when something outside caught her attention.
Peeking through the window, she noticed that a street light was going on and off.
'How bizarre. What's with that light?' she shrugged.
And just when she was about to close the curtain, her eyes caught a figure standing outside of her house, facing her window.
Her eyebrows furrowed.
It was a familiar figure.
Perhaps, too familiar.
Just then, her heart skipped a beat.
'No' .. 'it cant be' she thought. Time seemed to have stopped so suddenly. Everything was a blur.
Her eyes widened. Her breath trailed. Her knees weakened as if she was going to fall on the carpeted floor.
'No.. No.. No..' her mind kept saying, though her mouth was left hung open.
She was dumbfounded, suddenly not knowing what to do.
A cold shiver ran down her spine. She couldn't believe her eyes!
Tears started racing down her cheeks.
She was suffocating.
Her chest tightened and her stomach felt like she was going to throw up.
"Yu-..Yu.." She wanted to scream his name. But no words were coming out of her mouth.
All she knew, was that her eyes were locked onto him, just as his eyes were locked onto hers.
But then, slowly he turned and slowly walked away.
"No. No! Don't go" was all that her mind could say.
She quickly ran out of her room, out of her house, attempting to come after him.
But when she got out, he was gone.
She was panting, turning in every direction.
'where did he go?' she wondered, catching her breath.
"Yusuke!" she cried.
But he wasn't anywhere anymore, not even a trail of his shadow.
"No. I'm not gonna lose you again!" she cried as she ran in search of him.
It was almost midnight. The wind was cold, the streets were dark and empty.
She kept running. "Yusuke!" she yelled.
"Where are you?"
Tears were still forming in her eyes.
But in a moment she stopped, not knowing where to go anymore.
Catching her breath, she realized she doesn't know exactly where she was.
Her feet seemed to have taken her far, but that didn't matter at the moment.
All that mattered is for her to find him. She had to find him!
"Come on, you couldn't be that far!" She said to herself.
"Where are you?!" she kept looking around. But darkness was all that there was.
She panted. After a long time, she saw him again.
Even if this was another dream, another cruel dream, the only thing she wanted to do, was to find him.
But being alone on an empty street wasn't a good thing.
Instead of running, she started walking.
Carefully realizing she might've just brought herself into danger.
'Stupid Keiko.' she told herself.
Should she turn back now and go home? Or should she continue finding him?
At war with her own thoughts, weighing what was more important. Him? or her safety? She couldn't decide.
How could she be careless!
Suddenly, a sound was heard from a corner.
It was pitch black, she couldn’t actually tell what it was, or what caused it.
This made her shiver in fear.
Knowing it could be something that would harm her, she began to walk away, fast.
But where was she supposed to head?
She had already lost track of where she had been, or what turns of the street she took.
"Oh my.. I really am lost," she said, speeding up her footsteps, as she crossed her arms across her chest due to the cold atmosphere.
For a moment, it seemed like a good idea if she had brought her phone with her, or at least a jacket.
The dress that she had worn all afternoon and her flats weren’t really a fashion choice for the cool air.
The soft, thin blue cloth hung just above her knees, her bare skin creating goosebumps due to the cold.
But she was in such a hurry, she didn’t know what she was doing at the time.
Suddenly, another sound came from behind.
And when she turned to look, her eyes widened, and her heart began beating hard against her chest.
Three tall, grown men were walking in her direction, with malice spread across their faces.
"Come here, sweetheart! Don't run!" one of them called out.
She heard but she didn't listen, instead, she ran as fast as she could.
But little did she know, the corner she had turned to was indeed a dead end.
'figures!' she thought.
"Didn't your mom ever tell you not to wander at night?"
Keiko looked around in panic, trying to find an escape route, but to no avail, realizing she was surrounded by walls.
The floor was wet, and there seemed to be shards of broken glass all over.
'What am I gonna do?' her mind filled with these kinds of questions.
Pleading for her life wasn't exactly in her vocabulary, but that seemed to be the last option to survive.
"What do you want?!" she asked in an angry tone.
One of the men laughed and teased. "That's a secret"
"Help! Help!" She cried.
"Shut her up!" and with that, two of them came at her; one held her arms and the other hit her in the head, making her fall to her knees, causing shards of glass to slice into her hands, thighs and legs.
She cried in pain but was almost dazed by the pain in her head.
"Hold her up!" One of them demanded.
Keiko's vision began to blur, not to mention it was hard to see in the dark, all she knew was that she was tightly held up by her arms.
The pain in her head became more intense.
What did they hit her with? She didn’t know.
But whatever it was, it was hard enough to make her start to feel like she was going to pass out.
There was something wet and thick dripping down her forehead but she couldn't come to what it was, was it blood?
"D-d.. don't," she said under her breath.
She could hear their laughter, and at the same time, she was losing consciousness.
“We got a pretty one this time, eh?” One of the men said.
“Yeah, looks like I’m going to really enjoy this one!” The other one laughed.
As she felt the cuts and wounds sting on some parts of her body, suddenly, she fell hard on the concrete floor.
The last thing she heard were frantic screams, footsteps running, and someone pleading for his life.
Amberlynn gets fever + Keiko caretaker
This is my first Tumblr story. I hope you like it!
The curtains closed after the final bow, and Amberlynn sighed with relief. Finally, she thought, I can take off this itchy costume.
She and the rest of the cast hurried backstage. Out of all their shows, this one definitely had the most uncomfortable costumes.
Sequins should be illegal, Amberlynn thought as she quickly changed into her clothes backstage. She was so sweaty—probably from dancing—that her costume was nearly sticking to her skin.
She spent a few minutes undoing her hair. Another few minutes cleaning off her makeup. She was pulling her sweater on when someone called her.
“Amber!”
Amberlynn turned around as her classmate, Dina, came up to her.
“Your friends are waiting outside,” Dina said. Then she smirked. “And I saw you-know-who in the audience. Your guy got you a little something.”
Amberlynn chuckled and rolled her eyes and chuckled. “Purple flowers,” she said, “like always.”
Dina giggled. “Every show, always with those purple flowers.”
“He knows they’re my favorite.”
Amberlynn put her costume on the costume rack and grabbed her purse before hurrying out of the backstage room to meet her friends.
As soon as she was out in the crowded hallway, she spotted Birdie, Isaac, Jordan and Eliana all together. She made her way over to them and barely opened her mouth to speak before Jordan squealed and threw her arms around her, making her yelp.
“Amber!” she said, jumping up and down. “You were great!”
Amberlynn couldn’t help but laugh, especially when Eliana pulled her girlfriend off of her.
“That was a great show,” Eliana said, smiling sweetly.
“I loved the costume you were wearing,” Birdie said in her usual happy, dreamy voice.
“Thanks,” Amberlynn said, not having the heart to tell Birdie that the costume was hell to wear. Then she looked around. “Where’s—?”
Suddenly, arms wrapped around her from behind, one of the hands holding a large bouquet of purple flowers. And a box of doughnuts.
“Hi, babe,” Keiko said, planting a kiss on top of Amberlynn’s head. She was much shorter than he was, so he had to bend several inches just to do that.
Spirit and Oliver also appeared then.
“Great show,” Oliver congratulated with a large smile.
Spirit narrowed her eyes at Keiko. “Your boyfriend made me drive him to the bakery to pick up some doughnuts, even though we’re literally going out to dinner,” she told Amberlynn. Then she smiled. “You did great, Am.”
“Thanks,” Amberlynn said. Then she turned around just enough to look at her boyfriend’s face and smile at him. “Hey,” she said.
“Hi,” he said while leaning down to press a quick, sweet kiss to her lips.
Isaac made mocking kissing sounds and Jordan slapped his arm, shutting him up.
Chuckling, Keiko let go of her, letting her turn to face him completely, and he handed her the flowers and doughnuts. “You were incredible, as always,” he said, bending to kiss her again.
“Okay, enough!” Isaac said before their lips could touch. “Stop eating each other’s faces so we can go get food. It’s almost nine and I haven’t had dinner!”
“Having dinner after the show was literally your idea,” Spirit deadpanned, pulling her keys out of her pocket and twirling them on her finger. “Let’s go before we miss the reservation.”
Jordan pulled her own keys out, and they headed out of the building.
— — —
“How the hell is your mouth not dead?” Isaac whined to Spirit, fanning his mouth before taking another sip of water.
Spirit shrugged. “I told you not everyone can handle triple diablo sauce.”
Amberlynn couldn’t stop laughing at her ridiculous friends.
“Does everything have to be a competition?” Birdie asked, dumping ice from her finished water into Isaac’s glass.
“With Senorita Diablo and The-living-Hitler’s-white-dream?” Jordan said, openly amused. “Absolutely.”
Jordan’s words made everyone but Isaac burst with laughter.
“I’m not that white,” Isaac muttered, pouting, making them all laugh harder.
Amberlynn was enjoying the dinner her friends planned for her so much that she barely registered how dizzy she was feeling. She chalked it up to being a little bit tired. It was late, after all.
“So, who’s paying?” Birdie suddenly asked.
Everyone looked at Jordan, who sighed and stood, making her way to the front counter to pay.
“Next time we get dinner together, let’s not get Mexican,” Isaac groaned, still sipping his water.
Spirit pretended to cough and said, “White boy,” making everyone laugh again.
Suddenly, Amberlynn shivered despite the sweater she was wearing and how warm the restaurant was. Keiko noticed and turned slightly to look at her. “Hey,” he said quietly while the others talked. “You okay?”
Amberlynn smiled and nodded. “Yeah, of course. Why?”
He shrugged before putting an arm around her shoulders and kissing her cheek. “Just asking,” he said. “You look a little pale.”
She shrugged. “I always look pale.”
“Yeah, well—”
“Okay,” Jordan said as she came back. “I swear, no matter how much you order here, it’s impossible to spend more than forty bucks.”
“Well, I have an early class tomorrow,” Oliver said while standing up. “Spirit, can you drive me to my apartment?”
“Of course,” Spirit said. “Isaac, Birdie—I’ll drop you two off, too.”
They all stood and made their way out of the restaurant. Outside, Amberlynn shivered worse. She was suddenly more aware of how cold she was and how badly her head hurt.
She felt clammy as she and Keiko climbed into the back seat of Jordan’s car. She was vaguely aware of her boyfriend asking her a question.
“Hm?”
“I said, are you sure you’re okay?” he said quietly.
“Oh,” Amberlynn said. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just tired.”
Keiko looked at her disbelievingly. But he didn’t say anything for the rest of the drive.
It wasn’t a long drive to Keiko’s apartment. When they got there, Jordan parked and turned in her seat to look at Keiko.
“Mom called,” she said. “Apparently, she called you and you didn’t call back.”
Keiko, unbuckling his seatbelt, said, “I’ve been busy with classes. Tell her I’ll call tomorrow around noon.”
Jordan turned back around in her seat. “Okay.” Then she looked at Amberlynn through the rear-view mirror. “So, I’m taking you to your dorm now?”
Amberlynn opened her mouth to answer, but Keiko suddenly said, “Actually, why don’t you spend the night. Better idea than going back to those cruddy dorms, yeah?”
Amberlynn didn’t know why the offer surprised her. She’d spent nights at Keiko’s house before. She even had her own key. Maybe it was the unusual tone in his voice, which was a note higher than usual, that made her surprised.
But she smiled and nodded and said “Sure”.
Amberlynn and Keiko said bye to Jordan and Eliana as they got out of the car. Keiko had an arm around Amberlynn’s shoulders as they walked inside and took the elevator up.
In the elevator, Amberlynn started to stare off into space, only being snapped out of it when she felt Keiko press a hand to her forehead. She looked up at him with questioning eyes as he moved his hand from her forehead to her cheek, and then down to her neck.
“What’re you—?”
“You have a fever, babe,” he said.
Amberlynn’s eyes widened a little. “What’re you talking about? I feel—”
“Fine?” he interrupted. Then he sighed. “Am, you’re sick.”
Amberlynn wanted to protest more, but the elevator came to a stop then and the movement made her head spin painfully, making her sway a little. Keiko’s arm around her shoulders was the only thing keeping her steady.
Keiko led her to his apartment and brought her to his couch. “I’m gonna grab you some medicine,” he said softly. “I’ll be right back.” He stood and went to his kitchen, going through cabinets and grabbing a few things while Amberlynn laid back on his couch, letting her eyes drift closed for just a second to steady the dizziness.
Before she could fully fall asleep, Keiko was beside her again, gently rubbing her arm and whispering to her.
“Babe,” he whispered, “I’m sorry, but I have some medicine you need to take. But after that, I promise you can sleep as long as you want.”
Amberlynn nodded, sitting back up again. Keiko poured a bit of NyQuil into the measuring cap and handed it to her. She drank the medicine and handed the cap back before closing her eyes and sinking back against the couch again.
“Hey,” Keiko whispered. “You’re not gonna sleep here. Just hold on.”
Amberlynn was already half asleep when she suddenly felt an arm slip behind her back and another beneath her knees. Keiko picked her up and carried her to his bedroom, laying her down on his bed and pulling off her shoes and tucking her beneath the sheets. He took off his own shoes and climbed into bed beside her and she opened her eyes to look at him. “I’ll get you sick,” she said.
He smiled and shrugged. “I’m willing to take my chances.” He leaned forward and kissed the top of her head. In response, she turned onto her side and wrapped her arms around him, curling into his warmth.
Suddenly, she remembered something. “Oh, shoot,” she groaned.
Keiko pulled away from her enough to look at her face and he looked down at her with concerned eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“I forgot your flowers in Jordan’s car.” She didn’t know why, but tears started to fill her eyes. “I can’t believe I forgot my flowers.”
Keiko couldn’t help it. He chuckled a little at seeing his adorable girlfriend get so emotional over forgetting the flowers he got her. “It’s fine, Am,” he told her. “I’ll ask my sister to bring them by tomorrow.”
“I could just pick them up from Jordan’s place tomorrow.”
Again, Keiko chuckled. “Unless your fever is down by tomorrow, I don’t think you’re going anywhere.”
Amberlynn nodded silently and closed her eyes again, hugging herself against Keiko again.
“Wake me up if you need anything, babe,” he whispered, running a hand through her silky curls.
She snuggled deeper into him, burying her face in his shirt. “I love you,” she whispered.
He smiled. “I love you, too.”
Digimon fanfic chapter 4 draft
Chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3
“Ow!” A young Danny Barton pulled his hand back from the cactus that had just been planted outside his apartment building. Of course everyone had told him not to touch the spiny, barrel-shaped plant, but telling a five-year-old boy not to touch something is a surefire way to make sure he touches it. Danny turned his hand over to see several of the spines protruding from his skin and his eyes began to well up.
“What’s wrong?” Andrew asked his little brother. In response, Danny showed his brother the porcupine that his hand became, visually holding back a sob.
“It’s ok, I know what to do. We went over this in Scouts. I’ll fix it, ok?” Andrew reassured Danny.
Back in their apartment, the two set up in the bathroom, where Andrew started pulling out the needles with a pair of tweezers.
“There, it’s not even bleeding”.
“Thanks, Andrew,” said Danny. It still hurt, but he was doing his best to not show it. “You always help me out”.
“Of course,” was the reply. “I think you should always do what you can to help people”.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I just think the world would be better if people always did what they could to make it better, you know?”
Danny nodded. “I think you can help a lot of people.”
“I know I’ll try”.
-----------
Daniel felt numb as he hugged the unconscious body of his partner. Who was that? That couldn’t have been Andrew. The brother he knew would never, could never do something like that. Attacking the village of Caps Lock Crater, shrugging off the murder of Apemon, attacking Daniel and Blue. Andrew was kind, helpful, and always tried to make the world a better place. The Andrew who just left was unrecognizable from who he had been just a month before.
Daniel was shaken out of his thoughts by a sword being pointed right at his face.
“Get out,” Snarled Dinohumon, their voice caught between sorrow and rage.
“Dinohumon, wait,” Clark, the only human keeping his composure, tried to say, but he was cut off.
“NO!, “Screamed the lizardman, “The village is gone! Apemon is dead! Because of you! The D-Brigade came here for you!” Dinohumon took a few deep breaths, then spoke again, this time their voice low and filled with fury. “I won’t kill you now because Apemon wouldn’t have wanted that. But if any of you ever come near here again, nothing will stop me from killing you. Now go.”
Clark swallowed, then pulled Daniel to his feet, Keiko having already risen. “Come on,” he said as he led the two out of the Caps Lock Crater.
“Where are we going?” asked Keiko as the villagers watched them leave.
“I don’t know,” said Clark. I was going to use a passageway by the village to get down into the desert, but now we’ll have to find another way down”. He paused, then added “If you still want to come that is”.
Clark and Keiko glanced at Daniel, who hadn’t said a word since his brother left.
“I don’t know,” Daniel said in a quiet voice. “I don’t know what to do”.
Keiko shifted the unconscious Tsukaimon into one arm and pulled a device out of her pocket. “This is my Digivice,” she said, “It’s called a D-3 and it can open gates between the worlds. If you want, I can send you home”.
Daniel didn’t respond right away, then he simply said “let me think about it”.
After another half-hour of walking, the group found a large rock that Clark deemed safe enough to shelter under for the rest of the night. Using only the supplies Clark could carry in his oversized backpack did not make for a comfortable camp, but it was suitable enough. Despite being exhausted from the day’s events, none of the humans tried to fall asleep right away.
“What happened?” Clark eventually asked. “It’s been a few years since I saw him last but Andrew was not like that back when I knew him”.
“I don’t know,” Daniel responded quietly. “He wasn’t like that at home. The Andrew I know would have punched that Andrew in the face if they met.”
“It’s only been a couple weeks since he came back to the Digital World, though. What could have changed him that fast?” Clark wondered aloud. “Unless he was pretending to be nice?”
Under normal circumstances, Daniel would have leapt to his brother’s defense at the insinuation that Andrew was anything less than the kind and helpful person he seemed to be. Now though, Daniel couldn’t help but wonder the same thing himself.
“Um,” Keiki interjected. “I didn’t know your brother like you two did, but you’re saying that he changed all of a sudden and became a worse person, yeah?”
“Yes,” Clark responded. “The way he was acting earlier was nothing like he’s ever acted before. At least as far as I know”.
“Then I might know why Benjamin asked me to come on this mission,” Keiko responded. “It sounds like he was a really nice person who turned into a monster overnight. That’s pretty much what happened to me when the Dark Spore was put in me”.
Clark and Daniel both looked up at that. “You think a Dark Spore is why Andrew was like that?” Clark asked.
“I don’t know for certain, but it makes sense,” Keiki replied. “Benjamin said I have experience that would help and knowing about the Dark Spore is the only thing I can think of that makes sense. Other than that I don't have anything to do with Andrew or the D-Brigade. The only thing that doesn’t make sense is how a Dark Spore got into him. The first Spore came from a DigiDestined named Ken Ichijouji and Oikawa copied it to make the Spores that he put in me and the others. I don’t know how your brother could have gotten one”.
“You said your Spore is off, right?” Daniel sounded hopeful for the first time since the arrival of the D-Brigade to Caps Lock Crater.
Keiko rubbed the back of her neck. She could swear the Spore knew it was being talked about. The thing always seemed to pulse when she brought it up.
“It’s not active anymore, but it’s still there,” she said.
“How did you deactivate it?” Daniel asked, his mind racing.
Andrew isn’t evil, it’s the Spore! I can still save him!
“You have to drown out the Spore by thinking happy thoughts. For us it’s one desire or goal we want to reach. The thing that gives us hope and makes us want to be better.” Keiko blushed a little. “Mine is I want to write stories”.
Clark nodded. “So we have a chance, then. Tomorrow we’ll start crossing the desert and head to meet Baihumon. While we’re doing that we’ll try to figure out a way to reach Andrew and make him think of something he can use to drown out the Dark Spore.
In agreement, the three children turned in for a night of uncomfortable and restless sleep.
----------
General Tankdramon, supreme commander of the D-Brigade, stared at the many screens in his mobile command unit. Captain Hi-Commandramon 8A5’s unit had recently departed to the excavation site after a brief stop at the command center. Their little excursion was a waste of time and resources that could have been better used at the excavation site. If the human Andrew really wanted the other DigiDestined out of the picture, he should have sent a team of Sealsdramon to assassinate them rather than put on such an elaborate show as a mere warning. However, the desires of the D-Brigade’s client are paramount, even if they are foolish. This mission was turning out to be more complicated than the General had anticipated. Unexpected resistance at the excavation site was delaying the schedule and now a group of DigiDestinedhad entered the picture. If this group was anywhere near as powerful as the one that defeated the Dark Masters they could prove a major threat to the D-Brigade.
The sliding door to the control room slid open, but Tankdramon already knew the visitor was coming. The General had survived grueling campaigns, the reign of the Dark Masters, and more battles than he could count. His were nerves of steel, but even so, the aura of darkness that preceded the D-Brigade’s benefactor made even him feel a twinge of discomfort.
“Speak,” Tankdramon said, not bothering to turn and look at the benefactor.
“Greetings, General,” said the silky smooth voice of Mephistomon. “I have acquired some information that I believe will benefit all of us”.
The tank treads that passed for legs on the General ground into motion, rotating around the massive, bulky war machine that made up most of his body. He now faced Mephistomon. The goat-like humanoid Digimon was small for an Ultimate-level, but ever since he had approached the D-Brigade, Mephistomon had proven to have a keen mind and a knowledge of ancient digital mysticism that the Brigade was lacking in. Next to Mephistomon floated a simple white sheet with a mouth. A Bakemon.
“I encountered our guest fleeing the very same group of DigiDestined that your forces went to meet. He had a very interesting story to tell. Go on, tell the General what you told me”.
“Er, right,” said the Bakemon nervously. “So my old boss Soulmon found a house where a DigiDestined liked to stay and came up with a plan. The boss made a potion which could steal whatever power DigiDestined have that lets them Digivolve their Digimon whenever they want. That way we could all Digivolve. But one of the humans Digivolved their Digimon and killed the gang. I was the only one that got away”.
“Bakemon has kindly filled me in on the details of this Soulmon’s ritual,” Mephistomon interjected. “I believe with my mysticism and the D-Brigade’s science we could improve the process of using the bond between Digimon and DigiDestined to force Digivolution. I believe this could greatly benefit our shared goals”.
“Agreed,” replied Tankdramon. “I will assign the engineering unit to work with you on this project”.
“A wise choice, General,” responded Mephistomon as the General turned back to the screens. “Oh, and what should be done with our guest?”
“I have no further use for it. Do with it as you will”.
“Hey, great. Do I get a reward?” asked Bakemon. “Or maybe I could work with you guys. You seem to know what you’re doing. Wait, what are you-”
The Bakemon was cut off by Mephistomon casually plunging his hand into its body and ripping it apart from the inside. After a quick bow, the D-Brigade’s benefactor turned and left Tankdramon to his work. The prospect of being able to freely Digivolve the D-Brigade’s soldiers by exploiting a Digidestined’s connection with their partner opened a whole new world of possibilities for the Brigade’s future. And Tankdramon knew just the Digimon they would need.
———
Morning came and though none of the group were particularly well rested, they rose for breakfast. Breakfast in this case consisted mostly of dried food that Clark had in his bag. Clark and Keiko filled the two Digimon in on what had been discussed the previous evening.
“That means Andrew and Green might not actually be evil. We can get them back!” Daniel told his partner with excitement. “Isn’t that great?”
“Yeah,” replied Blue, morosely.
Daniel frowned. “What’s wrong? It’s good news”.
“Yeah, of course it is,” Blue said, “I’m just thinking of something”.
Daniel scooted closer to the dragon. “What’s wrong? You know you can tell me”.
“Nothing,” insisted Blue.
“Really, what’s wrong”
“Nothing!” Snapped Blue. “Leave me alone!”. The little dragon got up and walked around a nearby boulder.
Daniel gaped at his partner.
“First time?” asked Tsukaimon. “Me ‘n Keiko get into fights like it's going out of style”.
“He’s never talked to me like that,” Daniel stammered. “He’s always so cheerful”.
“My advice is to give him space,” Keiko said with an understanding tone of voice. “He’ll come to you when he’s ready”.
“I hope so …”.
---------
With no time to waste, the group of humans and Digimon set out, Blue trailing behind the rest. Failing to locate a safe path down the sheer cliffs that led down into the desert, Tsukaimon opted to Digivolve and carry the children and Blue down one at a time. Clark led the crew to a stream that ran through the desert below the cliffs where the Caps Lock Crater sat far above, informing his fellow travelers that it would lead them most of the way through the desert and ensure they had plenty of water. And it would be quite a long walk indeed.
“So seeing as we’re gonna be stuck in this here desert for a week or so, guess we ought find something to talk about,” drawled Tsukaimon. “How about we start with how you know that one D-Brigader with the scars?”
Clark grimaced as the purple bat-hamster stared holes into the back of his head.
“Tsukaimon, we agreed to ask that gently,” admonished Keiko.
“Seeing as he’s hiding stuff from us again this me being gentle,” shot back her partner.
“That’s right,” Daniel said. “You did try to talk to that one Digimon. What was it called?”
“Commandramon,” Clark blurted out. “Commandramon 1G1. Yes, we know each other. No, I don’t want to talk about it.” His tone had reverted back to the harsher and more angry voice he was using back when Daniel and Keiko had first met him.
“From when you and Andrew worked with the D-Brigade?” Asked Daniel. At the same time Tsukaimon interjected “If we’re going to work together you need to start telling us stuff”.
“Listen!” Clark snapped. “We’ve known each other for less than a week. We aren’t friends, we’re just working together. So forgive me if I don’t tell you everything about my life!” With that he quickened his pace, putting distance between himself and the others.
Keiko sighed. “Tsukaimon you need to leave things that need tact to me from now on, got it?”
Tsukaimon at least had the decency to look sheepish.
“Something bad must have happened with those two,” Daniel said.
Remember the other night in that haunted house?” Keiko asked. “You asked if Clark had a Digimon and he didn’t answer. I wonder if maybe that Commandramon has something to do with that”.
“You think maybe it killed his partner?” Daniel asked. He glanced back at Blue, still trailing behind them. The thought of losing Blue made his heart beat faster. The little guy may not be talking to him right now, but Blue was family. Daniel couldn't imagine losing him.
“If someone took Blue away from me I don’t think I could ever forgive them. If that Commandramond did it I can’t imagine how he feels, knowing it's out there and not being able to do anything.”
“Don’t forget, Digimon are reborn as Digi-Eggs when we die,” added Tsukaimon. “If his partner did die, it should come back.”
“Dying and coming back. I wonder what that’s like,” Keiko pondered.
“Well I’ve never died so I don’t know, but I think sometimes a Digimon will come back without their old memories.”
“That might be worse,” Daniel “Your partner comes back to life and doesn’t remember you? That’s horrible.”
Ahead of them, Clark had made a turn around a hill, but suddenly came sprinting back, yelling “GET DOWN!” From over the hill rose one of the dragon-like tiltrotor vehicles that the D-Brigade had used the previous night, the beating of its helicopter blades beating up a sandstorm. A minigun attached to the front of its fuselage roared into life, spraying down a hail of bullets that left holes in the desert well behind Clark. A warning shot.
As the humans and their partners ducked behind a large boulder the vehicle’s mouth opened and barked out a command.
“By order of the D-Brigade, no humans may pass these coordinates! Turn back and leave or die!”
“You’re telling me the helicopter is a Digimon too?” Asked an irate Tsukaimon.
“Yes,” Clark replied. “Cargodramon. It’s an Ultimate-level.”
An Ultimate, Just like Green had been when he almost effortlessly defeated both Blue and Tsukaimon.
A lack of further attacks gave Clark the courage to peek over the boulder. The Cargodramon hovered in the air and its eyes met Clark’s, but it made no move to attack him.
Clark ducked back down. “It’s not attacking again. It must be ordered to only attack us if we try to keep going.”
“Andrew must have told it to not try to kill us,” Daniel said. “He said he doesn’t want to kill me as long as I stay out of whatever he’s planning, so he must have told it to just scare us off.”
“That’s probably right,” Clark said. “I donut the D-Brigade would go for scaring us off over killing us unless they were commanded to.”
“That means Andrew must still be a decent person deep down even if he has a Dark Spore!” Daniel exclaimed. “He’s still in there!”
Daniel pulled out his crest. “We just need to Digivolve to Ultimate to beat Cargodramon and then we can keep going to get Andrew back. Come on, Blue!”
Blue didn’t respond, just looking sadly at Daniel. “I’m not sure I can, Danny- er, Daniel.”
“Why not? What’s wrong?”
Blue sighed sadly. “It’s Apemon. I bit his bone and made him mad at me after he was so nice to us. Now he’s dead because of us and I never even got to say sorry.”
Daniel looked at his partner, then grabbed and hugged him. “It’s not your fault, Blue. It’s the D-Brigade’s. They attacked us, remember. You can’t put that on yourself.”
“But if we weren’t at the village…”
“If we weren’t at the village Apemon would still have stood up to them,” Clark said. “That’s the kind of Digimon he was. Always trying to find the most peaceful way out of everything. If he heard the D-Brigade was harassing complete strangers he would come to try to talk some sense into them. You can’t blame yourself for what the D-Brigade did.”
“But…” Blue didn’t seem to know what to say.
“Think about what Andrew would say. The normal Andrew, not the way he is now,” Daniel said to his partner.
Blue thought for a second. “He would say that it's ok to be sad but that it shouldn’t stop us from doing what’s right.”
“That’s right!”
Blue took a deep breath “I want to get him and Green back. And I want to be better. I’m not going to make nice people mad at me anymore! I’m not going to keep calling you Danny! And I’m going to make the D-Brigade pay!”
The crest in Daniel’s hands started to glow.
“You did it!” Clark declared. “You activated your crest!’
Daniel looked down at his crest, then clenched his hand around it. “I know what my crest is now. It’s the crest of determination. And we are determined, aren't we, Blue?”
“Of course we are Daniel,” Bleu nodded in agreement.
“I’m going to get Andrew back!” Declared Daniel
“And I’m going to get Green back!” declared Blue. The two then finished their sentences in unison.
“Because he’s my brother!”
Dracomon Digivolve to… Coredramon! Coredramon Digivolve to… Wingdramon!
The new form of Blue shot into the air like a rocket. He was still a blue dragon, but much larger than either his Rookie or Champion forms. His body rippled with muscle under his scales and his head was covered in a mask of ivory and orange, branching horns. A lance sat on his back, two golden orbs were clutched in his hands, and his tail, now longer than his body, rippled out behind him like the waves of the aurora. But the largest change was to his wings. Patterned with blue, hexagonal scales, the mighty wings spread out of either side of his body like a great cape and seemed to hold him aloft without flapping.
“Hostile action detected,“ Cargodramon rotated in the air to point its gun at Blue, but in a flash, the dragon was gone, leaving behind a sonic boom that rattled every boulder for hundreds of meters.
“Explode Sonic Lance!” Blue was now behind Cargodramon and shot forward, the lance on his back aimed at the vehicle’s wings. The enemy managed to tilt to one side so Blue’s attack left a deep gash on the wing instead of severing it.
“Suppression Strike!” Cargodramon’s minigun roared into motion, shooting a hail of bullets at Blue, who dodged and weaved through the air with a grace unnatural for such a large creature. Even so, a few bullets did hit, leaving deep wounds.
“Blue!” Shouted Daniel, but his dragon simply glanced down at him.
“Don’t worry, Daniel. I can’t lose to this. We still have brothers to save!”
Blue flew upward, forcing Cargodramon to reorient itself in the air to keep its aim. However, as it did so, Blue’s wings coiled around him and he shot down downward like a meteor. The wings flared out again and the dive turned into a glide inches above the ground. Now with his belly facing the sky, Blue found himself directly underneath the fuselage of Cargodramon, the slower flier disoriented by his sudden movements.
“Blaze Sonic Breath!” From Blue’s mouth shot a burst of flame that burned white hot. The concentrated pillar of fire roared upward, slamming into Cargodramon’s underside before shooting out of its top. Cargodramon wheeled around in the air, unable to keep itself along with a hole through its body. The D-Brigade member fell and smashed into the side of a hill before exploding in a massive fireball.
Blue landed in front of the group, his wings shielding them from any shrapnel.
“You were amazing out there,” Daniel practically shouted.
“Thanks, partner,” replied the dragon. “It was no match for us.”
“You know it! Now they won’t be able to stop us from getting Andrew and Green back!”
“We’ll need all the help we can get,” said Clark. “The D-Brigade won’t take this lying down, but we’ll be able to really fight back now. And that’s not all the good news.”
“What else is there?” Asked Keiko.
Clark nodded at Blue, “We have a faster way through the desert now.”
he finally sat her down , she pushed him. "now what if you dropped me?" he smiled.
"there's something on the black board over there." sungchan pointed out. "what is that?"
"first come , first served." they took off down the beach. "umph!" she fell down in the sand. "im so tired." she said breathlessly. "so so tired."
"popularity vote?" she read the little paper. "is that not me." she flipped her hair jokingly. "no you're probably the least like." she grabbed sohee by the shirt. "yah..."
"how many people can i vote for?" they all turned to the girl behind the curtain. "keiko , have you never voted before?" she scoffed. "i thought it was different my bad." she said.
"they all think I'm gonna vote for myself , but that's not fun." she circled the box. "i chose shotaro because he's the oldest and wonbin." she whispered , walking out.
she took her jacket off , making her way into the water , anton beating them all which made them chase after the youngest and when that did work — they turned on each other.
they then went after anton once again. "this is my day's work out." she huffed , walking back to the group. "i didn't get anything and im soak and wet." she said.
luckily she didn't get picked as a worker though.
ur ds9 rarepairs pls
sisko/kasidy is my favorite, best-executed star trek canon ship. i wasn't initially going to call this a rarepair, because who doesn't ship it??? but i'm glad i checked because somehow there are only twelve otp:true fics on ao3. so yes if this counts as a rarepair it is #1 in my heart. or mayyybe #2, because:
miles/keiko/kira is perfect and everyone should love it so much. while this is the canon core of the tumblr darling o'brien polycule, i don't feel like it gets enough attention on its own. this ot3 is a GIFT. kira does this incredibly generous thing and gets a family out of it -- i swear, just look at her face throughout that entire moving-in scene. THEY MOVE IN!!! TOGETHER!!! and while okay we’re kind of inferring keiko’s motivations here, she definitely seems into kira and actively supports miles and kira being into each other. i so wanted them to keep living together forever. seriously transformational on all sides (them & me).
jadzia dax/lenara kahn is another one of those “who doesn’t ship it?” pairings so i don’t know if it’s a rarepair or not, but godddddd do i want the AU where lenara does actually come back after thinking about it, to jadzia’s great surprise. easily the best single-episode star trek ship. they are SOUL MATES please let them be in love forever 😭
so like, julian/ezri has two strikes against it being a rarepair (it's canon; it's in the top-ten list of fics on ao3), but it's so widely reviled in fandom that even people who ship it have to go "I KNOW, I KNOW" as a disclaimer whenever we talk about it. and i do know!! the build-up and execution of this pairing in canon is lukewarm at best, but this pairing was my bisexual awakening as a teen and so i still love it for what it could be. i mean look at them. they're really very hot together.
kira/ezri though, there are no disclaimers necessary here. kira immediately embraces and supports ezri and we get to see them hanging out, having a good time, and it's so good. they could have something wonderful in an alternate s7 or a post-finale era for sure.
#rarepair asks#discovery's canon ships are really giving the sisko/kasidy monopoly a run for its money tbh#i mean michael and book in season four really took that 'sisko and kasidy and the maquis' storyline and blew it up to season-long#galactic proportions didn't it#//#deep space nine
KISS ME MORE
Keiko can't help but be needy with her husband, and Kisaki, being a lovely husband, lets his wife's brattiness slip by giving her what she wants. While they make love, Keiko realizes that her husband was so in love with her and had moved on from his infatuation with his childhood crush, Tachibana.
Loud chatterers can be heard as they approach the meeting place, arms entwined as they walk along together. "Aren't we having fun?" Kisaki greeted his fellow Toman members as they entered the meeting room.
"Good evening, Sir!" Everybody bowed, greeting him with high respect.
"Enough with formality, guys!" he beamed, shutting his eyes as he smiled radiantly.
"You don't usually show up for our admin meetings, Kisaki-san," Hanma informed, smiling back at Kisaki.
"I've got minor business to deal with, and oh...I hope you don't mind; I brought my wife along with me. Kisaki stated. Everyone looked at the beautiful woman beside Kisaki. Looking at her from head to toe, everyone can tell that Kisaki Tetta has a taste in women.
The woman is average in height; she was wearing a short slip dress, the color of the gold silk enhances the flawlessness of her skin tone. Her neckline, bareback, and chest were exposed wearing such a skimpy dress, showcasing her clever inverted neck with beautiful necklaces dangling around it.
Everyone looked at her with admiration others were shocked, well, except Hanma Shuji, he knows that Kisaki is already married. "Hello!" she greeted in her sweetest tone, smiling sweetly, pressing her eyes closed together.
"Good evening, Ma'am!" Just like her husband, she was welcomed with respect.
"Oh, just call me Keiko..." she introduced herself. A vibe. Kisaki Keiko, Kisaki's beloved wife, got that rich girl L.
"It's occasionally rare to see the both of you together." Hanma walks towards Keiko to kiss the back of her hands as an act of greetings. Hanma's respect for Keiko is just like his respect for Kisaki. They have been friends since high school.
Kisaki shrugs, messaging the back of his neck. "Keiko wants to spend time with me as much as possible now that she's pregnant," Kisaki explained, encircling his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
"Pregnant!" A guy with a sexy push-back hairstyle exclaimed, his shoulder tensed, looking at Kisaki and Keiko. "I-I m-mean congratulations!" he stammered, congratulating the couple.
"Thank you, Takemichi." Kisaki thanked, patting Takemichi's shoulder. So, that was Takemichi Hanagaki? Keiko thought in the back of her mind.
"So shall we start the meeting?" Hanma concurred, taking his seat.
"Here, you may sit here, Keiko-chan." Takemichi offered his seat to Keiko to sit beside her husband, but it was a surprise when she refused. "No, it's fine. I prefer to sit on his lap."
Hanma and Kisaki chuckled. "I'm sorry, she's been clingy the whole day. I think it's the hormones," Kisaki excuses.
"Come here, sweetheart." Kisaki patted his lap, signaling his wife to take a seat. Keiko sat down sideways; she buried her face in the crook of his neck, hugging him.
"Kisaki-san, do you think it's okay your wife to talk about business, y-you know the illegal kinds of stuff, she looks mindless about our agenda." Mucho wonders. Keiko might look so innocent behind her beautiful face. Little did they know the sultry come within her.
"My wife doesn't mind, and she knows about our business," Kisaki assured, caressing his wife's hair as she took her little nap in his arms, "Right, love?" Kisaki added.
Keiko hums as a reply; she was busy prepping her husband's neck with soft kisses. She knows what kind of a person her husband is and what type of job he does. At first, she was against it, but throughout the time, she just got used to it, with her husband going home with blood-stained in his suit.
As the meeting goes by, so as the increase of her arousal, being pregnant makes her horny, but her OB-GYN says it's okay because many women will experience increased libido, especially late in the first trimester and beyond hormones are high. Also, the blood flows to sexual organs, breasts, and vulva increases, heightening sexual pleasure.
"Tetta, I want you..." she whispered to his ears.
Kisaki shifted his attention to his wife, looming his ears closer to her so he could easily hear her. "Later, can you see I'm still on a meeting? I'm sure you can wait, darling?" Kisaki instructed his wife, averting his gaze back to his fellow Toman member.
"But Tetta, I'm so horny, baby, please..." Keiko begged.
"Be patient and wait." He shrugged her off, making her pout, and rolled her eyes in disapproval. Kisaki is being mean and selfish, she thought.
Keiko bit her lower lip, Kisaki gave her no choice. SHE slid her hands inside Kisaki's pants rubbing his clothed crotch. Her hand travels from her legs to his pants, slowly unbuckling and unzipping his belt and zipper without a sound.
A smile plastered in her face, a little teasing wouldn't hurt. "Tetta..." she called. The friction of her hands and the fabric of his brief made him groan, but her little teasing wouldn't shake his composure, yet his wife's sudden behavior tensed him.
"Saki..." she murmured hotly into his ear.
Kisaki chooses to ignore his wife to be focused on the meeting, but Keiko being a whore for his attention, did her best to get it.
"Daddy..."
"Yes, darling?"
"I want your cock. I want a parfait on your cock, and I want to lick and enjoy it like a stubborn little brat." She begged, squeezing his cock between her tights.
Keiko pressed her lips together as she continued rubbing his cock. She can feel his erection grow. And that's where Kisaki snapped, and he faked a cough, "Ahem."
"Something wrong Kisaki-san?" Hanma wonders.
"Do you guys happen to serve a parfait? My wife is craving for it." Kisaki inquired, simply distracting everyone's attention as he took his wife's hands away from his pants.
"Yes, sir, we serve parfait of any flavor. Which do you prefer?" The attendant asked, waiting for their order.
"Chocolate-strawberry," Keiko answered in a grumpy tone. She didn't like Kisaki brushing her off like that.
"It seems that your wife is getting bored with our meeting." Haruki Hayashida conversed. Kisaki and Keiko's eyes met, she instantly looked away from his oppressive gaze.
Kisaki sighed. "Yeah, she is. So if you excuse me, gentlemen, I would like some time with my wife. Please continue the meeting without me." He requested and guided his wife to stand up from his lap as he rose from his seat.
"Bring that parfait to the room I booked. We decided to spend the night here." Kisaki relented to the attendant.
"Hanma take care of the things here," he ordered before pulling his wife into his grasp.
There was a moment of silence between them as they headed to the room they reserved for a night; Kisaki noticed the uneasiness of his wife. He coughed, getting his wife's attention, "Ahem, what do you think you did back there? You're being naughty, love," he commented.
Keiko rolled her eyes in annoyance. "I don't know Kisaki. What did I do?" she mocked him, leaving him as she walked straight ahead of him.
"Kei-baby~" Kisaki seduced to loosen up her mood. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder, pulling her into a hug as they bounced their self in the sofa, cuddling and settling in the room. "I thought you're not into PDA?" he wonders.
"That's an expectation!"
Kisaki tittered. "Does your offer still stand?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow.
"Let me think about it-hm..." she pondered, placing her index finger on her lips as she carefully thinks about it before making a decision, "So now you're horny? My offer still stands," she said, and a mischievous smile creeps into her mouth.
Kisaki hummed, smiling at her, but before anything else happened, someone knocked on the door, completely ruining their mood, "Who the fuck is that?" Keiko cursed.
"I think it's your parfait." Kisaki stood up from the couch to get the door, and he was right; it was her strawberry chocolate parfait.
Kisaki thanked the attendant for aiding his wife's craving, giving him a tip. Kisaki licked his lower lip, looking at his wife as he walked toward her holding a delicious-looking parfait. "Looks too delicious, but I bet it's tastier in your lips." Sultry lingers in his voice.
They exchanged smirked at one another, having the same thought. "Let see, why don't you try it, babe?" she chirped as she licked her lower lip temping him to kiss her.
Kisaki slowly loomed closer to his wife, scooping the parfait using his index finger; he cupped her cheeks as he slowly smeared the ice cream in her lower lips to her cheeks. He moved his hands to her mouth, opening it with his thumb and index finger and letting her suck on his finger, licking the leftover parfait in his fingers.
Kisaki didn't give her a chance to lick the excess ice cream in her mouth by calming her lips, pulling her into a deep and sensual kiss, the warm feeling of her breath, although destabilizing, was inviting. He slid his tongue between her parted lips and began exploring her mouth with his tongue.
Their kiss lasted for twenty seconds, they both panted in unison. "That was hot, and you're right. The parfait tastes delicious in our lips," Keiko exclaimed, making her husband chuckle.
"But I think it tastes better with your cock..." she mumbles seductively, trailing her fingers from his chest down to his pants.
"I guess I don't need to tell you what to do, huh?" Kisaki mentioned as he leaned his back on the couch, letting the softness of the cushion sallow him as his wife positioned herself between his legs, slowly going down to unbuckle and unzip his belt and pants.
Keiko tugged down the waistband of his brief, his cock sprang free from the confines of his brief, the red mushroom tip slapping against his navel before pointing away from his body. Her mouth watered as she stared at it, thinking how the parfait would taste in his manhood.
She grabbed the highball glass from the center table, scooping the ice cream from the glass and gently applying, smearing, and rubbing it on Kisaki's loin. He groaned as an intimate reaction to the coldness of the desert.
"Fuck this! Ahh~" he hissed.
"Already groaning and hissing, huh? I haven't sucked you yet!" Keiko teased, rubbing and squeezing his cock.
"Fuck you!" Kisaki cursed. His wife is very good at this teasing and over-simulating him.
"Oh, you will!" she jabbered, and her hand rubbed his cock up and down, making the pre-cum leaking from his tip. As soon as his cock was covered by the ice cream, she started to lick his tip and then prep it with kisses from the bottom to the top.
Kisaki is panting heavily, and his hands gripped down to his tights as she licked his tip. Placing a few kitty licks to simulate him made him more rigid to moan. Her mouth wrapped around him, cleaning off the ice cream from his cock, her hands messaging his ball, and her eyes were focusing on him.
"Suck it like a good wifey." He smiled slyly, causing her to lower her head onto him, all the way down until the head of his cock hit the back of her throat, activating her gag reflex; his cock was throbbing inside of her wet carven.
She tried to pull her mouth off him, but to her dismay, he had a steady grip on her hair and locked her head between his legs, leaving her no choice but to suck it up.
Kisaki couldn't help himself to dig his fingers into her scalp because of the extreme pleasure she was giving him. He began to thrust his hips against her face.
Looking up to him with almost teary eyes, Keiko wonders if she satisfies her husband. His grey eyes were locked into her mouth, admiring the drool that seeped out as he pushed his cock deeper and deeper to her throat.
She got enough with her mouth, a thick threat of saliva connected to her mouth to the tip of his cock when he pulled out. Kisaki pulled his wife into his lap, hugging her as he undressed her from the back.
Discarding the beautiful golden silk dress from her body, Kisaki lifts and carries his wife towards the bed, laying her down as her back hits the soft mattress of the bed.
Standing up from his position, it's a simple matter for him to tug down her panties.
She's now completely naked in front of him, legs pressed together as bashfulness hits her nerves. Kisaki tapped her legs to spread it for him, "Spread your legs, baby."
Like his obedient wifey, she did what she's told, spreading her legs and exposing her glistening cunt of him. Kisaki smirked, looking at her pretty pussy that was only made for him; he licked his lips before positing himself down to her.
Kisaki spits in her pussy, his saliva drip down in her pussy to her ass, rubbing it, smearing his saliva all over her. He spread her folds wide open and rubbed his whole palm across her cunt.
Kisaki slid his index finger into her slit. He sluggishly thrust his finger into her core-moving it back and forth with his thumb pressing in her clit.
He added another finger into her slit once more before facing his palms upward. "Do you like how I finger you, babe?" Keiko nods. His fingers are enough to bring pleasure for her.
"Use your words, and I don't take a nod for an answer."
"Y-yes," her voice was horsed, almost begging for her husband to go faster.
Kisaki was relentless. Her legs were wide and spread open for him, he then lowered his face to her pussy, and a wet lick from the asshole to the clit made her squirm in the tingling sensation of his tongue pressing in her mound. He started lapping it as he pumps in his finger at her inside. His pace was sloppy and making her more and more rigid and engorged.
But even with his slow pace, he could make her cum. His finger is long enough to make her cum. "Oh, Tetta, please fuck me already! I want you to fill my pretty pussy with your cum!" she mewls, making Kisaki grant her wish.
Kisaki aligned his tip in her entrance. He started teasing her, his cock was gently poking and rubbing her slit, but he never pushed it in. "Saki-baby please, enough teasing!" she mewled, making a move grinding her pussy to his cock.
"So impatient," Kisaki slapped his cock in her pussy. You just lie there and let me do the work." He ordered. Just keep your legs open."
He pushed her legs up and got between them, her ankles resting between shoulders, entering her with one sharp thrust. Kisaki-ah..." she squealed.
His cock fit so well, making her think that they were both made for each other.
Keiko's body swerved up in pleasure, and he got her eyes rolling back to her skull when he licked and sucked her taut nipples like a pro.
She clutches a fistful of his hair, running his gelled hair, and she squirms, "Kisaki, oh my~ fuck, more please more!"
He shifted his face to her neck and started leaving wet kisses and love marks; he was marking his property. Mine mine mine..." he whispered between his kisses.
"More-ngh!" Kisaki thrust his pace more forcefully. Keiko bit her bottom lip as she gripped the bedsheet. Her mouth sent out muffled moans.
"How many times we've fucked before?" Kisaki asked. Her legs start shaking at the tension, her folds squeezing at the pain. Kei-baby, loosen up. It's too tight," he said, pinching her cunt.
"I love you so much, my pretty wifey." speeding up his face, he focused on her face and body. He wants to cry, seeing his wife's eyes glistening in tears because of pleasure. He pressed his lips on her, moving in sync as he pumped his cock inside her.
"I promise to be a good daddy, I'll take care of you and our little one," he exclaimed and groaned. As her walls squeezed onto his, his cock throbbed inside her. To her ears, his words were gibberish; all coherent thought in her brain had vanished, replaced with a mantra about how badly she needed to come.
Throughout the years, Keiko assumed Kisaki was still in love with his childhood sweetheart, Tachibana. But the person he is in love with right now is she and only her. Kisaki is still acting as Toman's number two to ensure his family's safety, and especially they are expecting their first child shortly.
Everything feels so good; Keiko is about to lose her composure. Oh," she whined, feeling the tight coil building up in her tummy, "Kisaki, I'm coming."
"Go ahead and cum all over my cock." He encourages her, smiling at her. His hands reached for her best, fondling it to give her extra pleasure.
"I love you, dear, ah ~" she convicted, moaning like a mess. Keiko's nails dug into the mattress as his cock battered her cervix. He cummed all over his cock, making the hot sticky liquids drip off his cock.
She was a mess, whimpering, squirming, and her cum wouldn't stop oozing out from her. Kisaki cums after her, cock twitching in her pussy fiercely. He kissed her forehead for doing the job well done, staying still under him.
Kisaki stands peer at her cunt, wanting to see her cute little pussy all battered and used.
"Baby, drink this so that you won't be dehydrated." He grabs the water bottle from the nightstand giving it to his wife. He helps her sit up to drink the water.
After that, he laid down beside her, pulling her into a hug, spooning as they cuddle each other. "Rest and sleep, and I'll clean you up later." He said, placing a kiss on her forehead once again.
"How about your meeting?" she wonders.
"They can wait; what matters is you, my love..."
Keiko smiled before nuzzling her face in her husband's chest, "Goodnight, hubby."
"Goodnight, wifey."
Voice Sweet as Caramel
Pairing: deaf!Katsuki Bakugo x gn!reader Genre: fluff, slight angst? Warnings: none Summary: You meet Dynamight and don’t know that he’s deaf. Luckily for him though, when you find out, your quirk comes in handy Word Count: 5.1k words A/N: I did a lot of research to make Bakugo’s experience seem as real as possible. If there is smth that I did wrong, worded incorrectly, etc., please don’t hesitate to inform me. Thank you and enjoy!
It didn’t really bother him at first. Being deaf, I mean. He didn’t have to listen to a bunch of nonsense all the time, he could sleep in peace, villains trying to goad him on and agitate him didn’t work anymore, and so on.
It didn’t take him long to realize just how many downfalls there are with that though. He started to fall behind in class because he could no longer hear his teachers. He wasn’t able to hear plans of attack or hear an enemy sneak up on him.
He can’t hear your voice.
He became deaf in the middle of his third year. It happened in the middle of a fight with the league of villains and he didn’t really have time to panic about it at the time. When school let out and he became one of the top heroes, he tried not to be bothered by it and for the most part, it worked. His other senses heightened as time went on but that doesn’t mean it made the reality that he’s deaf any easier. There were still the setbacks that will always hold him back from reaching top potential. Because of this, he’s the number three hero, right behind Deku and Todoroki.
That’s what really crushed him.
He never shows anyone, heroes, friends, and villains alike, that being deaf is a struggle for him, even when he gets used to it. He wants to hear the villains he defeats beg for mercy. He wants to hear his friends laugh when someone does something stupid. He wants to hear the praise of civilians when he saves them.
He wants to hear your voice but he’d, obviously, never tell a soul that.
He didn’t meet you until a year after he graduated.
You showed up when he was fighting some villains, and he’ll never admit that he was struggling a little bit. Somehow though, villain after villain suddenly couldn’t see him and they panicked. They’d run into buildings and each other before Bakugo beat them all to a pulp.
Seeing as how you’re the only one else there with a hero costume on, he assumes you had something to do with it. As he hands the villains over to the police, you come over with a warm smile aimed directly at him. He stares at your lips as you speak, his ears ringing with the silence that he’s grown used to.
He doesn’t really understand why you’re trying to talk to him, seeing as how everyone knows that the great hero Dynamight is unable to hear. So, why are you wasting your time trying to talk to him? Maybe you think he can read your lips. That is, after all, a common misconception about deaf people.
Without a word on his part, he turns and walks away from you. He doesn’t hear you stop in the middle of congratulating him. He doesn’t hear how you scoff a bit. He doesn’t see you frown at how rude he is.
You walk into the building with a bright smile already on your face, excited for something you literally do every day of your life. It doesn’t matter how many times you do it though. This will always make you happy. Plus, you just came to Japan from America a couple of weeks ago. You haven’t been here in years. You are excited to use your improved quirk to help others.
You greet the lady at the front desk as you grab your sticker name tag that the staff makes for you every day. You then go to your first stop, gently knocking on the door and coming in once you get the go-ahead.
“(Y/n)! You’re back!” the little girl squeals, a large smile coming to her face. Your smile stretches out further as you walk over to her.
“Hi, Keiko! How have you been?” you say as you move your hands slowly for her to read. She watches them attentively before perking up, her mother beside her smiling softly at the interaction.
“I’ve been really good! I’m glad you're back!” she says happily, her ‘accent’ coming through more now that she’s calmed down and isn’t shouting.
“I’m happy to be back too,” you agree, your hands moving with your words.
“(Y/n),” the mother says, grabbing your attention, “Thank you for coming back. You have no idea what this means to me. To us. After the villain attack...” Her eyes are watery as she speaks, her hand coming up to pet her daughter’s head.
You smile softly at her, coming over to sit in the empty chair by her bed. “Don’t even mention it, Mrs. Suzuki. It’s an honor to be of use to you and your daughter,” you reassure. You then look to Keiko, seeing her body impatiently wiggling around as she waits for you to work your magic.
You chuckle as you raise your hands, her eyes widening, despite knowing what you were doing. She turns to look at her mom as she shouts, “Mommy! I can hear again!” You read her lips and smile as she wraps her arms tightly around her mother. You watch with a soft look in your eyes, trying to ignore your oncoming sadness that will come when her hearing comes to an end again.
“Keiko, I noticed that you are getting better at JSL. You must be studying so hard!” you praise, watching her chest puff out at the praise.
“You bet I am! It’s so easy and my tutor says I’m really good at it!” she brags while using her hands for you to read, a chuckle escaping you at how proud she is. She has every right to be though.
“That’s so cool! Can you show me what else you’ve learned?”
You stay with the girl and her mother for their hour before slowly taking away her hearing again. She doesn’t seem to mind though. Even at her young age, she’s grateful for the opportunity that others don’t get to have and she knows that you can’t let her have her hearing back forever.
You walk down the hall and walk into the next room after knocking. “Daiki? It’s (Y/n),” you greet softly, not wanting to spook the teen. He perks up at the sound of your voice, a smile coming to his face as he turns to face you.
That has to be the best part of your quirk. You bring all of these smiles to these unfortunate people whose lives were changed at the hands of villains.
“(Y/n)! I’m surprised to have you come back so soon!” he greets, holding his arms open for a hug. You happily accept it, returning his sight as you pull away. He brightens up more as the life returns in his eyes, your eyes catching the sight of his gums showing from how big he’s smiling before your own vision goes dark.
“I’ll never get tired of seeing your pretty face,” he playfully flirts, making you chuckle as you take a seat by his bed.
“You’re such a flatterer.” When visiting Daiki, he prefers to use his time wisely. He likes to memorize the faces of loved ones, read, watch tv, and other things that he can’t do.
When his time comes to an end, he sighs as he closes his book he was reading, a sad smile on his face. “You really are my hero, (Y/n),” Daiki says softly, his eyes roaming your face to now memorize it without your knowledge.
“I’m just doing what anyone else would do with my quirk,” you reassure, giving him a sad smile as you slowly take his sight away again. He sighs and picks up the same book from before but with braille instead of typed words.
“Still. See you next week?”
“You betcha,” you say softly before kissing his cheek and leaving.
Your quirk allows you to eliminate or heighten the five senses. You can only do one sense at a time though. You can do it in increments too, meaning you can completely eradicate or heighten a sense, or you can do it partially. For example, you can increase someone’s smelling to 100% and they can suddenly smell ten times better than a bloodhound. Another example, if someone is getting a headache by a smell, you can remove someone’s smell by 50% and leave them able to smell but not as strongly as they normally would be able to. Also, when you use your quirk, that sense is completely removed from you but only while you’re using it on someone. You also can’t use your quirk on yourself.
It’s when you’re leaving the RCV, the Recovery Center from Villains, you notice the fight between a hero and multiple villains. You raise your hand to one of the villains, removing his, and your, sight. When you hear a loud explosion and a cry of pain, you turn off your quirk to find the villain you used your quirk on laying on the ground. You repeat this process with the other villains until there was none left standing.
When the hero hands them over to the police, you run over with a grin. “Hi, I just wanted to say that you were incredible! I know you probably didn’t need my help but I just wanted to-”
You cut yourself off with a scoff when the blond suddenly walks away from you, a frown coming to your face as you watch him go. Well, that was rude. Especially after you just helped him take down four villains!
“Excuse me. Were you the one to help Dynamight?” an officer asks. You give her a kind smile as you nod your head, turning to face her now.
“Yes, ma’am. I have a senses quirk, so I eliminated their sight so, uh, Dynamite could get the upper hand,” you explain. She smiles at this, becoming more fascinated by the second as you explain what happened. You answer any questions she has, noticing the sun is starting to go down.
“Well, it’s getting dark. I’ll let you go! Have a great day—oh! What’s your hero name?”
“It’s Esthesia,” you say before saluting and walking away.
On your walk home, a guy gives you an unseemly smile as his eyes flicker up and down your body. “Hey, baby. Where you going?” You give him a bored look as you raise your hand, taking his, and your, sight away as you continue to walk straight. He begins to panic, your ears listening as he runs around frantically before crashing into a brick wall. When his body hits the ground, you return both of your vision with a smirk.
“Have a nice night!” you sarcastically call to his groaning figure.
The second time you meet Dynamight—you learned from the news how it’s actually spelled—it was under pretty much the same circumstances. You stay by the sidelines, appearing as a civilian to everyone which is exactly what you wanted.
You raise your hand and remove the villain’s sight, listening for signs that the villain is defeated. When you return your vision though, you find a villain coming from above to attack Dynamight.
“Dynamight!” you shout in warning, pointing up for him to see what your warning is for. He never looks at you though, allowing the villain to attack him from above. You quickly remove that villain’s sight, hoping that you weren’t too late. Why did he just ignore you like that? Is he that stubborn?
When your vision comes back, you find that he has taken out all of the villains again. You charge towards him once you see this, coming up behind him. “Why did you ignore me? You could’ve been killed!” you shout, afraid for the hero’s life. He keeps his back to you though, his eyes moving from villain to villain to make sure that they will stay down. “Hey!” you shout as you lightly shove him to gain his attention.
“Hey!” he copies as he catches his balance and spins around, his eyes alight with an inferno that’s normally directed at villains. When he sees it’s you though, that inferno shrinks to a flame. “What is your problem?” he screams.
You scoff as you cross your arms over your chest, a glare of your own staring right back at him. “My problem? My problem is that you keep ignoring me! I was trying to help you back there and you didn’t even turn to acknowledge me! You could’ve avoided that attack altogether!” you shout right back, your eyes moving to the wound on his shoulder that he received from that villain. Your eyes return to his face when he huffs and looks away from you.
And just like before, he walks away from you, causing your jaw to drop open. “Hey! You don’t get to do this to me again!” you shout, running to stand in front of him. You notice that the police have arrived to take the bad guys away, which Bakugo also notices.
“Get out of my way,” he snaps, moving to go around you until you just block his way again.
“No! This is the second time I’ve helped you! You can at least thank me!” He doesn’t react to your words. He doesn’t even have an expression on his face anymore. He, again, just moves around you and walks away. This time though, you let him go.
“Fine! That’s the last time I help you then!” you declare.
It’s not.
He just seems to have an invisible sign that you can’t see that says, “Come attack me! I’m alone! Please beat me up!” You don’t understand why he never has backup. Well, besides you, that is.
After helping out several times though, you finally come across him in battle with another hero. About time. Where was he the last six times you’ve helped him?
You watch from afar, only helping if one of them seems to be struggling a bit. You notice that the other hero acts differently around Bakugo. Their body language is different and he never calls out to him. Does he not like him? Cause you sure don’t.
After the fight is over and the police have escorted the villains away, the heroes leave after interacting with the civilians for a bit. You notice that no one talks to Dynamight though. How is he the number three hero but isn’t popular amongst the civilians? That makes his situation even odder to you.
When they finally leave, you quickly catch up to them. “Hey! Hi, sorry! I just wanted to say that you guys did a great job!” you congratulate with a grin, not even looking in Dynamight’s way.
The guy with flaming red hair, named Red Riot you believe, gives you a toothy grin. “Oh, thanks! You’re Esthesia, right? I’ve seen you on the news with Bakubro a couple of times.” You raise your brow at the nickname but realize he’s talking about Dynamight.
“Oh, yes! It’s nice to meet you! You’re Red Riot, right?” At this, his smile gets even brighter, if possible.
“Sure is! You can call me Kirishima though! This is Bakugo,” he introduces. It takes everything in you not to scoff.
“Yeah. I’ve saved his ass a time or two before,” you say as calmly as possible. Kirishima looks to Bakugo and finds that he’s not even looking at you.
“Sorry about him. He can be so moody.” You raise your brow when Bakugo doesn’t come to his own defense, seeming to just take the playful blow.
“That’s one word to describe him. Anyway, I don’t want to keep you guys up. I just wanted to congratulate you,” you explain with a warm smile.
“Oh, it’s no problem at all! It was nice to finally meet the hero who has saved Bakugo’s ass so many times! Say, how about we meet up sometime? It’d be great for you to meet some of the other heroes. Your quirk is really useful!” You blush at this but nod nonetheless.
“Oh, that would be great! I love helping where I can!” You pull out your phone for Kirishima to put his number into your phone, this finally grabbing Bakugo’s attention, but he remains quiet.
“Super! I’ll text you when some of the others are free. We can all get drinks or something,” he says as he hands your phone back to you.
“Can’t wait! It was nice meeting you!” you say cheerfully before you leave the duo to go to the RCV, which is where you were heading before you stopped to help.
About a week later, you get a text from Kirishima asking if you’d be free Sunday night. You agreed to meet him at a restaurant and you couldn’t help but grow excited at the chance to finally meet other heroes in the area.
Sunday night came in a blink of an eye it seemed, your heart beating faster with each mile you get closer to the meeting place. You park your car and double-check that your outfit is in order before heading inside. You look around for spiky, red hair, and it only takes you a second to find him.
“Kirishima!” you call as you near the table. Everyone but a certain blond turns at the sound of your voice. His eyes look at his friends before finally looking at you. You make eye contact with him for a moment before looking at Kirishima.
“Hey, (Y/n)! You look great!” he greets, standing up and pulling out the only empty chair.
“Thank you,” you say with a blush, slowly taking the seat, to which he pushes the chair in for you once you’ve sat down.
“Everyone, this is (Y/n). (Y/n), this is everyone,” he introduces playfully as he takes his own seat. Once he’s settled, he properly introduces you to everyone, to which you happily greeted them all.
“And finally, Mr. Grumpy-Mc-Grumpy-Pants over there is Bakugo, which you already know,” he says as he taps Bakugo’s arm. Bakugo turns to look at Kirishima before following his finger to you.
“It’s nice to officially meet you,” you greet with much sarcasm. He, like always, remains silent and looks back down to his menu. You huff and decide to open up your own menu, trying not to be bothered by being shot down by the handsome male.
For the rest of the evening, weird things occurred. Kirishima always taps him when someone says his name, Bakugo’s eyes roaming the table until he focuses on the person speaking. Kirishima taps him again when it’s his turn to order. You’ve seen people talk with their hands, both literally and figuratively, but these people really seem to get into it, making wide and crazy gestures.
It wasn’t until your waiter came to your table with your food that you finally realized what was going on.
“So, (Y/n), tell us about your quirk. Bakugo hasn’t shined any sort of light on what your quirk is and Kirishima seems a little lost at what your quirk actually is,” Mina says with a smile.
Before you can reply though, your waiter and another worker bring your food to the table. “Who got the kung pao chicken?” the other worker asks, looking around the table. Kirishima was checking his phone when the question was asked, Bakugo not letting the waiter know that it’s what he ordered.
This is when it hits you.
The tapping. The blank, bored look. The quiet replies. The crazy gestures.
He’s deaf.
God, you’re such an idiot! You work with deaf people all of the time! How did you not realize until now?
“He got it,” you inform with widened eyes, your eyes staring at the blond. His eyes squint at you for pointing at him before realizing that you were just showing the waiter where his food goes. Once everyone has their food, you clear your throat.
“So, um, Bakugo is deaf?” you shyly ask. This causes everyone to pause and stare at you for a moment.
“Uh, yeah,” Kirishima answers, “Sorry, I assumed you knew…” he apologizes.
You shake your head, turning your gaze to Bakugo as you continue. “But why does he act like that?” you ask.
“Like what?” Kaminari asks with a furrow to his brows.
“I work with deaf people all of the time. A lot of them are decent at reading lips to some extent and most know, or are learning, JSL. Bakugo seems...like he doesn’t care or that it doesn’t bother him? Does he know JSL?” you explain quietly despite the fact that the man you’re talking about can’t hear you.
Kirishima sighs as he sets down his chopsticks. “Bakugo has been deaf for about a year and a half now. He knows JSL and uses it when necessary, but for the most part, he doesn’t like using it or when others use it to talk to him. It makes him feel....belittled, if you will. Like he has to have special treatment or something. I do my best to help him but I’m not perfect,” he explains, the last part being directed at what just happened.
You slowly nod your head as you take this all in, a small frown coming to your face. “So, you guys don’t know what my quirk really is, right?” you ask softly, a smile starting to come to your face. They all look confused in your change of subject but nod along anyway.
“Yeah, I was asking you about it before our food came. Kirishima says you can make people blind, or something?” Mina pipes up. You confuse them more when you begin to grin, all of them sharing a look amongst themselves.
“Do you want to see something amazing?” you ask, your eyes flickering over to Bakugo.
“Please don’t make me blind,” Denki begs, starting to ramble about needing to be able to see pretty girls. Jiro shushes him and then focuses back on you again.
You raise your hand to Bakugo, taking a deep breath before slowly giving him the ability to hear. Everyone looks to him when he drops his chopsticks, his hands shaking as he stares wide-eyed at his plate. His chopsticks landing onto the table is the last thing you hear before your own hearing is gone.
“I’m confused. What happened?” you read from Sero’s lips. You remain quiet and just keep smiling, your eyes focused on Bakugo. Bakugo’s eyes snap to Sero when he speaks, something seeming to lodge in his throat.
Before he can stop it, he’s tearing up.
“Bakubro! What’s going on?” Kirishima worriedly shouts, looking between you and him. “(Y/n)! What did you do to him?” Kirishima asks worriedly. At the mention of your name, Bakugo finally looks at you.
“I can hear,” he mutters, his voice barely being heard from how thick his throat feels. When everyone starts to say that they didn’t hear him and to repeat himself, he rubs furiously at his eyes and takes a deep breath. “God, I forgot just how annoying your voices are,” he complains, trying hard not to smile.
Everyone freezes at this.
“What?”
“You can hear?”
“What’s going on?”
“My voice is just fine, thank you!”
Everyone starts talking at once, bombarding him with their voices. A small smile comes to his face despite his best effort, looking at all of them fondly. He looks to you again, eyeing you up as the others continue to chatter on.
“Well, you being able to do this would’ve been nice to know a long time ago,” he grumbles. You stare at his lips, doing your best to read them. The average deaf person can only understand about 30% of what someone is saying based on just their lips though.
“Sorry, can you use JSL?” you ask politely before picking up your chopsticks to begin eating.
This causes everyone to freeze once more.
“Huh?”
“But why?”
Seeing their confused faces, you realize that you never explained your quirk. You give them the rundown before finishing with, “When I use my quirk on someone else, I lose the sense that I’m taking away or giving. So, in this case, I gave Bakugo hearing so now I can’t hear. This is all temporary, of course.”
The table vibrates with Bakugo’s hit, making your eyes widen as you look at him. “Take my hearing back away,” he demands, not using JSL despite your wishes. Your brows furrow at this, luckily understanding what he said anyway.
“What? Why? You were so happy just a minute ago,” you reply confusedly.
“No, I wasn’t! I’m perfectly fine being deaf! I don’t want your pity!” he shouts, grabbing the attention of nearby customers. With him talking so fast, you weren’t able to catch what he said. This is when an idea comes to mind.
You simply look away from him and down at your plate, starting to eat without another word. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” Bakugo shouts, realizing too late that, duh, you can’t hear him. “Don’t ignore me!”
Ah, the irony.
The others eventually get him to calm down, bright and warm smiles on their faces at seeing him act like his old self. Don’t get them wrong, he still acts like this all the time but there’s this...new fire to him that hasn’t been there in a while.
When he finally lets it go, you all start eating. The others use JSL to talk to you, seeing as how they all learned it for Bakugo, despite the fact that he didn’t want them to use it. It was a nice dinner, really.
When the night comes to an end, you all stand up and walk out of the restaurant together. “So, when will Bakugo lose his hearing again?” Kirishima asks curiously, signing out the words for you.
“Well, I can only use my quirk for so long before it starts to become dangerous, just like when you guys use your quirk for an extended amount of time. Because I use my quirk so much though every day all day, he could stay like this all night. I’m assuming we are all going our separate ways though…”
“Oh, okay. Well, we all really appreciate what you’re doing for him,” Kirishima signs with a kind smile. You smile back at him, not seeing Bakugo say ‘I don’t.’
“It’s no problem at all, really. I just wish I knew about it earlier, so I could help him sooner,” you apologize, turning to look at Bakugo now. By the look on his face and the way his mouth moves, you’re assuming he scoffed.
“Do you think we could hang out again soon? I think it would be good for Bakugo to-”
“What’s with that crazy idea? I’m going home,” Bakugo snaps before turning to leave. Seeing him leave, you slowly raise your hand and switch both of your hearing back. You bite your lip when he stops, the sounds of cars going past on the road and the chatter of people nearby suddenly going silent for him once more.
He almost feels like he’s going to be sick.
He turns back around, wondering how he can get you to give his hearing back without actually saying he wants it back. His eyes widen in surprise when all of the sounds come back, a small smile coming to your face.
“Not everyone has the opportunity to get their hearing back, even for just a little while. So, be grateful.”
It took a while for Bakugo to finally warm up to you but after a month or so, he finally accepted your presence. It took him three to actually refer to you as a friend. It took half a year for Bakugo to admit to himself that you’re his best friend; he’d never tell you or Kirishima that though. It’s been a year and he still can’t admit to himself that he likes you more than as a friend.
Bakugo takes a bite of the food you made, his face scrunching up in mock disgust. “What did you put in this? Rat poison?” he jokes. It honestly didn’t taste half bad but he wasn’t about to admit that out loud to you.
He watches you dance to the music that he can’t hear, your lips moving as you sing. He wishes he could hear it. He watches you stop and turn to look at him at his insult, your mouth showing your scoff.
“Do you want to die?” you ask as you swipe your thumb across your neck. He smirks at you as he makes a show of taking another bite. He doesn’t hear you hum but he watches as you sign, “Yeah, that’s what I thought, chump.” He’s the one to scoff now, his eyes rolling with his annoyance.
He’s told you time and time again not to use JSL but you never listen. He secretly appreciates it because he doesn’t have to piece things together when you use it. He still acts peeved when you do it though.
“I’m not a chump. You’re the chump,” he snaps. You set your food down before walking over to the big speaker on your kitchen counter that is currently playing one of your favorite songs. You stand in front of it and place your hands against it before raising your other hand over to Bakugo.
His ears are suddenly greeted with the sound of the music, a frown coming to his face as he looks at you. While he appreciates being able to have his hearing back, he hates that you lose yours in the process. He’s pulled out of his train of thought when you start singing, his eyes becoming wide. You use the vibrations emitting from the radio to keep tempo, singing in sync with the artist.
Talking without hearing was easy for you but you’ve never tried singing without your ability to hear before. This shows as you softly sing, your voice shaky and out of tune at some points.
It’s the most beautiful thing that Bakugo had ever heard.
Your voice is as sweet as caramel. He watches you with a soft smile on his face, not even realizing that it’s there. When the song comes to an end, you bring your food over to the speaker and eat while your free hand remains pressed against the speaker to ‘hear’ the music.
To his surprise, one of his favorite songs comes on after a couple of minutes and you grew so excited when you realized this. You belt each word with immense confidence, not a sign of hesitation or worry in your voice.
This is when he realizes that he’s in love with you.
"Keiko-- Keiko, it's two PM!" I said into the phone, sending an apologetic look to my coworkers. "And I'm at work. You can't be calling me, especially when you're drunk so early in the day."
"Uggghhhh, you're so mean!" I sighed softly at Keiko's response, the office phone on my desk beginning to ring.
"Keiko, I have to go now, I'm sorry! Call Taichi and tell him to bring you home."
"Wait-"
I ended the call, rubbing my eyebrows as I picked up the other phone. "Armed Detective Agency, how may I help you?"
It's been around three months since I've started working at the Agency, and I have to say, it was a pretty great job. It paid well, kept me on my toes with the many different cases we took on, and my coworkers were great... despite how weird they were.
"That's like the seventh time your friend called you this week," Ranpo spoke up from his desk, the man literally surrounded by snack wrappers.
I sighed deeply, rubbing my eyebrows. "I know, I'm sorry everyone. She's not usually like this... I know she likes to drink, but... never to this extent."
"Maybe there is something going on?" the cute Atsushi suggested and I frowned. "Maybe you can try to find out?"
"It wouldn’t be wise to just push yourself into someone's private life like that," Kunikida added and I nodded in agreement.
Of course I couldn't. Not with who her boyfriend was. I was her best friend, but even I knew not to step in. "Besides, she always says she's okay when I ask..." I said thoughtfully, too distracted to continue my work. I could believe her, right? Besides, she had Taichi. He loved her, and always made sure that she was protected and taken care of. He always made sure to be around her when he wasn't away, keeping her to his side at all times. I thought maybe he was being a bit too protective, but I also understood because of his... profession.
"Alright, alright, we have a schedule, people. Let's not get too distracted here," Kunikida exclaimed and I laughed softly. The only one with a schedule was the super punctual man himself, but I still went on to do my work.
"Speaking of work..." I started, unimpressed as I Iooked to the empty desk across the office. "Where the hell is Dazai?"
Atsushi just hung his head and sighed, Kunikida gritting his teeth at his desk. "I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up," Atsushi sighed again and I huffed, standing up from my desk. "I'll take my 30 now. I'll be in the cafe and I'll try to get Dazai to bring his scrawny ass to work."
The Agency was on the fourth floor of the building while the cafe was down on the first, very convenient for me. I was lazy and the coffee and food was good. I dialed up Dazai's number as I descended the four flights of stairs, pressing my phone to my ear.
At the top of one flight, I stopped when I heard a familiar ring tone blare out, and when I looked down to the bottom of the stairs, I saw the man of the hour. His brown hair was wavy as ever, his signature tanned jacket looking immaculate. I watched as he just looked at his phone, watching it ring before he put his phone in his pocket.
I hated him. "So you were just gonna ignore me?!" I shouted down the stairs. Dazai whipped his head up, eyes going comically wide.
"Bella!" he exclaimed, practically running up the stairs right towards me. I gasped and back away quickly, back hitting the wall as Dazai caged me between his bandaged arms. His forehead pressed against mine and I will my face not to burn as he looked at me with those pretty brown eyes of his. "I missed you."
My heart skipped a beat, my mouth going dry. Still, I glared up at the man. "We just saw each other yesterday," I gritted my teeth, trying to ignore the feeling of his soft breath against my face. I was thankful my voice didn't crack. "And you have plenty of paperwork to do still on your desk."
"Ehhh, I'm tired and I'm busy," Dazai nonchalantly waved that off, now standing away from me and waving his hand dismissively. "Got better things to do."
I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest. "Yeah? Like what?"
With that, Dazai took my hands in his, a hopeful look on his face. Here we go again. "Double suicide."
"No." I immediately declined him. "My answer is still the same as it was last week."
Dazai visibly deflated, covering his eyes dramatically. "Sweet death... she evades me yet again..."
"Yeah," I deadpanned, brushing past Dazai and heading down the stairs. "Anyway. I'm heading to the cafe to get something to eat."
"Oh!" Dazai exclaimed, hooking my arm with his as he quickly came up to my side. "I'll go with you!"
"You have work to do!" I yelled at him, trying to push him back up the stairs. "Go before Kunikida has an aneurysm."
"But I don't wanna!" Dazai whined, quickly turning the tables on me. Now he was behind me, his arms wrapped around me and pinning my arms to my chest. I felt his breath against my left ear and I shivered deeply. "I wanna spend time with you..." he whispered softly, his voice dropping. I bit my bottom lip, looking over at him over my shoulder. I shivered again, the usual brightness in his eyes gone. I've only seen that look on his face a handful of times, and it never failed to make me feel completely on edge. Like I was in danger.
I liked it.
"Ugh," I sneered, rolling my eyes and shaking myself out of his arms. "Fine, fine. I'll treat today, okay?"
"Yay!" Dazai's jovial nature returned as he followed me to the cafe. I shake my head at the strange duality of the man. We sat across from each other, the redheaded waitress named Lucy that obviously had a crush on Atsushi giving us some menus.
As I looked over the menu, I looked over at Dazai, the man humming as he mulled over his choices. I bit the inside of my cheek, just feeling that maybe there was more to Dazai than he let on.
The weekend soon arrived and I was in a bit of a sour mood. I was at the boardwalk, sitting on an empty bench after getting off the phone with Keiko. We were supposed to spend the day together, but she had called me thirty-minutes late, all of a sudden saying that she couldn't make it.
Her tone of voice worried me, she sounded rushed and breathless, totally unlike her. "I'm okay. I'm sorry for flaking out so suddenly," she said before she ended the call. I blinked at the screen, a bit put off by the entire thing. Just what was up with her?
Though I couldn't dwell on it, for there was a presence behind me. "Well, well, look what we have here," a teasing voice whispered into my ear before blowing into it. I shrieked, jumping off the bench before spinning around.
"Dazai!" I hissed at the laughing man standing on the other side of the bench. "You scared the crap out of me!"
"Bet it got your heart pumping, huh," Dazai hummed happily, skipping around the bench and right over to me. "Bella, I missed you~" he hugged me tightly in his arms. I sighed deeply, half-heartedly wrapping my arms around him in return and giving him a pat on the back.
"We saw each other yesterday."
"Eighteen hours is too long, bella."
I rolled my eyes, pulling away from the huge and giving Dazai a look. "You're so dramatic, dude," I say with a laugh, shaking my head. "What are you doing here?"
"Hmm, well I thought this would be a great place to think about how to commit suicide," Dazai began and I gave him another look. "But, I saw my bella looking so sad and lonely! I just had to rush to comfort her!"
Dazai hugged me again, squeezing me tight. I let out a struggling breath, writhing a bit in his hold. "You're killing me!"
"Oh! Let's commit do-"
"No, oh my God!"
I turned and stormed away from the suicidal man, shaking my head when I heard him call out for me. "Bella, wait!" He latched onto my arm, pressing his cheek against mine. "Tell me what's wrong. I am your trusted friend and coworker~"
"More like trusted pain in my ass," I mumbled before sighing, walking over to the boardwalk railing and staring out into the ocean. "It's Keiko. She was supposed to be with me today, but she just called and canceled..." I frowned deeply, eyebrows pinched in worry.
"What else did she say?" Dazai asked quietly, having gone serious once he saw the look in my face. "How did she seem?"
"Off..." I answered immediately before I looked over at my companion. "Or am I just imagining things? Yeah, I'm disappointed she flaked out but...." I hung my head. "I don't know..."
"Well, it could be nothing," Dazai suggested. "Or it could be something. There's no way for you to know."
I made a face at his vague ass answer before sighing again. "I can only trust her. She was the first friend I made when I moved to Japan, and I was excited to see her today. I've been having a rough time lately."
"Is something bothering you?" Dazai asked, and I shivered feeling his gaze on me.
"Eh... just depressed," I answered offhandedly. "Lonely. Normal sad girl shit, ya know."
That made Dazai snicker under his breath. "Yeah, I know. But luckily for you," Dazai started, arm draping around my shoulders and pulling me to him. "I'm here to save the day!"
I couldn't help it, I laughed before I wrapped my arm around his middle, letting him hold me against him. "You'll hang out with me today?"
Dazai grinned. "It would be my pleasure."
Time flew by so quickly, that I was surprised to look at my phone and see that it was damn near seven in the evening. Gaping, I looked up, seeing that the sky was slowly turning dark. "Holy crap, Dazai. Did we really spend the whole day out here?" I asked in shock, looking over at him. "What the hell did we do?!"
"What didn't we do," Dazai whined, slumping against me. "I'm tired... and you still wanna ride the stupid ferris wheel!"
"It's not stupid," I said with a pout. "Besides... we're already in line."
"Meh," Dazai grumbled, still keeping his body pressed against me as we waited in line. He was behind me, his chin pressed on my shoulder. I tried not to shiver as I felt his breath along my neck.
Soon enough, we were in our carriage and slowly riding up to the top. I took a few pictures as we did so, Dazai looking over in amazement.
"You think the drop from up here would kill me?"
"Yeah, and would scar everyone here."
"Oh yeah... can't have that."
I rolled my eyes, glancing over at him and pausing for a bit. Dazai was still looking out over Yokohama, an expression I've never seen before on his face. He almost looked... sad. Very handsome, his side profile absolutely perfect. But he still looked sad. I took a quick picture, smiling as I looked over it on my phone.
The carriage stopped and I couldn't help but grin as we just swayed softly up in the air. "Thanks for spending the day with me, Dazai. It would have sucked if I had spent it alone."
"Ahh, don't sweat it, bella. I couldn't possibly leave you out here alone," Dazai answered dramatically and I laughed and rolled my eyes.
I felt a vibration in my pocket and I grabbed my phone, smiling at the cute selfie that Keiko sent to me.
'I'm so sorry for bailing! I'll make it up to you, I promise! ❤ mwuah'
"Is that Keiko?" Dazai asked and I nodded, sending her a quick reply.
"Yeah. She seems to be doing okay," I said, feeling a bit relieved.
"That's great!" Dazai exclaimed, getting up from his spot and carefully making his way to sit beside me, much to my horror.
"Dazai! We're not supposed to move around!"
"We're fine!" he waved me off dismissively. "Now you can stop worrying about Keiko and focus on what's important. Me."
I raised my eyebrows at him. "You?"
Dazai hummed. "Yes, me. And how I'm taking you home tonight."
My jaw drops, face heating up at his words. "Wh-what are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Dazai answered, his voice dropping a bit as his gaze and entire mood changed. His gaze was darker now, his lips curled up in an almost dangerous smirk. "I think it's time we stop tiptoeing around each other and just take what we really want."
My mouth went dry and I quickly became flustered, turning my head away. Immediately, a hand is grabbing my face, Dazai digging his fingers into my cheeks as he forces me to look back at him.
"Nuh uh, you look at me when I'm speaking."
His authoritative tone makes me freeze, heart pounding in my chest as I stared at Dazai, completely bewildered. I knew there was something more about him than he had let on, and whatever it was, had me in fight or flight mode.
"Now, when we're done here, we're gonna leave and head back to my place, okay?" he asked me, but his tone made it seem like it wasn't a request, and it sure as hell didn't match the seemingly innocent smile on his face; not when it didn't reach his eyes.
I nodded, Dazai removing his hand from my face. His smile sent shivers down my spine.
"Good."
"Mmn... fuck, Dazai..." I moaned and gasped softly, the man on top of me littering my neck with angry red and purple marks, two of his fingers working inside my pussy. I was completely naked on his bed, Dazai only in his underwear-- and his bandages still wrapped around his arms and chest.
"Hey, what did I tell you?" Dazai whispered against my neck, curling his fingers and smirking when I cried out. "Call me Osamu. Don't make me tell you again."
I frantically nodded my head, crying out again as he sped up the pace of his fingers, his mouth moving down to my chest. "F-fuck, Osamu!"
"That's it," he whispered, taking one of my hardened nipples into his mouth. My fingers curled into his soft brown hair, head tilting back and eyes screwing shut as Dazai continued to pleasure my body.
It wasn't long until he pushed his hard cock into my wet pussy, the both of us groaning at the feeling of us finally connecting. I was on my knees and elbows, pillow placed under my hips. Dazai started out slowly, biting his lip as he watched his dick disappear inside of me.
"Fuck... I'm gonna burn this sight into my memory," Dazai groaned, making me whine as I shook my head.
"D-don't stare like that..."
Dazai chuckled softly, his hands grabbing my hips as he started to move faster, thrusting harder. I moaned and whined, it seemed to be the only thing I could do while Dazai fucked the shit outta me. "Osamu... please..."
My whining made the man above me grin widely, his thrusts becoming rougher, almost wild as he suddenly reached out and grabbed a handful off my hair. I yelped when he yanked me up, my back now pressed against his chest and his other hand wrapped around my throat.
"What is it, bella?" he hissed into my ear, pounding away at my pussy and making me cry out again. God, it was too much all at once. "What does my pretty little subordinate want?"
I whined. "I want to cum... please Osamu..."
He cackled, pushing me back on the bed, grabbing my hips so hard, I knew I was gonna bruise. "Cum then," he hissed down at me, pushing my face into the mattress. He fucked me relentlessly, fingers finding my clit and rubbing harsh circles. That made my vision go white, my scream muffled as I came hard, body going rigid as pleasure overtook my body.
"Shit, you're squeezing me so tight," Dazai grunted. He pulled out, ignoring my whines as he stepped off the bed. "Get on your back."
I barely rolled over halfway until there was a strong grip on my ankle, my body being pulled down the length of the bed. Dazai stood at the end, wasting no time in pushing my legs back by the back of my knees, and plunging his cock back into me.
I looked up at him through teary eyes, and I knew I should have been afraid of the mad look that was in his eyes, the way his lips were curled up in a snarl. But it just made my pussy clench around him in arousal, eyes rolling to the back of my head.
I came a second time as he did his first, and much to my ultimate pleasure, we weren't finished there. We pleasured each other through the night, until we wore each other out and fell asleep entangled in the sheets.
I woke up the next morning, groaning in pain as I felt my body ache. I forced myself to sit up, looking around blearily and humming softly when I found Dazai sitting on the edge of the bed, his bare back to me.
"Good morning," he sang to me and I giggled softly, carefully moving to kneel behind him. The blankets fell from around me and I pressed my bare chest against his back. "Hm, that's nice."
"Morning," I said softly, peeking over his shoulder. "What are you do-"
I stop, staring as Dazai wrapped seemingly clean bandages on his heavily scarred left arm. I swallowed thickly, my mind running at what could have possibly been the cause of those scars.
But deep down, I knew that the cause was Dazai himself.
"Do... Do you have enough?" I asked softly, not knowing what else to even say. I didn't want to pry or seem insensitive, just having to get over this metaphorical punch in the gut myself.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" Dazai answered, turning to face me with a cheery smile on his face. In a matter of seconds, I was flat on my back, Dazai on top of me with his lips pressed against mine. It was easy for him to make me forget about what I saw, his kisses stealing my breath away.
"I have to go," he said softly, pushing himself off me after a moment.
I nodded solemnly, watching him continue to get dressed. "Alright. See you at work tomorrow?"
He smirked at me. "You know the answer to that."
I rolled my eyes again, just as my phone started to ring. I grabbed it, sending Dazai a quick smile before answering the call.
"Hey Keiko, guess who got fucking laid." That made Dazai snort while I grinned, though my grin fell as I didn't hear Keiko go off like I thought she would. "Keiko?" I shared a look with Dazai.
"Hey... I need you. Can I come over?"
