long ramble of me going through the venom trailer because i am insane totally normal about it

Or he is telling this to Venom and Eddie just really wants to kill now which. I am ok with that, love that for them, they should be allowed to do what they want

AND WE HAVE THE BOI. THERE HE IS!!! the roar sounds different too i think, it's very cool tho, feels like a shrill, higher pitch than i expected but i don't dislike it

AND EDDIE IS FIGHTING TOO WOOOOO i need to redraw all of these frame cause WHEW! making me blush with these shot compositions, so good. so much trust, Eddie knows Venom will keep him safe and jumps in! literally! i adore how Venom's head is following him too, it's so creepy, the way it just slithers through the air, I wish to send all my love to the teams who work on Venom, there are so many points from the trailer and the first 2 movies that I wanna dissect, just to point out all his little movements, very fun

speaking of his little movements- squinty eyes :3 and the half venom, half eddie face again! always a win, forever iconic <3

tearing apart this venom scene OK! the little tendrils by Eddie's face, the way they move around is so UGH its so weird and i adore it! This "pose" is also fun because we really get to see the inside of Venom's mouth, most importantly his teeeeeth, in a long, pretty still shot that isn't when his mouth is wide open, the artist in me is loving it

also the team always does an amazing job on just making Venom look alien- the thick veins, the shiny black skin, and the tendrils that are holding up the bad guy split apart, instead of being just one tentacle, very gross, but in a good way

i don't know 100% of the Venom lore, still have tons of comics to read, so i won't talk much about the potential storyline here but- 4 SYMBIOTES!! maybe maybe maybe the Life Foundation Symbiotes... these babies got some funky colors.. they already used the name Riot but these 4 could be Lasher, Phage, Scream and Agony if i pray hard enough, the colors don't match but i can dream!

totally not emotional over this little bit of Venom that was left behind from that one after credits scene trying to bond with a host gently. yup yeah my heart isn't hurting at all!

I don't even think i'll be able to handle just one of them dying, the end of the first movie made me tear up the first time i saw it, and that was before i was as insane about them as i am now, i will be UNWELL in the theater

Venom sounds a bit muffled in this clip which makes it a bit more funny to me, i won't lie. Eddie is hanging on FOR HIS LIFE THOUGH, geez i know he said "how fast" but Eddie gets LAUNCHED OFF VENOM when they go over that cliff. fun reference to the first movie, how Venom grabs onto Eddie as he flies up, like on the motorcycle <3

this horse scene has to be earlier on because Eddie is in The Outfit and is also not wearing shoes??? i refuse to believe he'd put it back on, and in the helicopter-"it is time" clip, Eddie is wearing that white shirt, which looks like the undershirt to the suit (maybe) so the Las Vegas scene happens before them running from the explosion/fire.

oh right, the song that's playing? Space Oddity by David Bowie? yeah it's about an astronaut dying along in space.... which... is not very comforting...

man the trailer is kinda confusing, i'm already making guesses on where things happen and what the context could be, but literally anything could happen in this film. there are so many things that just don't make sense yet and it's hurting my brain I JUST WANNA KNOW! are those new Symbiotes or not? What even is the plot? Will Eddie and Venom profess their love to each other? Will Sleeper be real? How many times will this movie make me cry? Only time will tell

About sg prowl... ough I love the fact that he seems to have he's own weird claimed territory. He runs the place like the worst kind of mafia, forcing others who stay there to pay him protection money, or he makes sure they pay in other ways.

I love the idea of territorial prowl so much tho auuughhhh the moment you step into his turf he will sniff you out. How dare you intrude on his land. He will bite first and ask questions later. But when he does ask, you better have a good reason for being there

Sg jazz is primes bodyguard iirc? Or is he something else in the idw comics? Either way though, being a bodyguard makes him another kind of territorial. He doesn't let anyone near his charge and also doesn't let anyone near him. Any servos within reach of him or Prime are free game. He will bite.

He and Prowl would fight if they met. They both cross each other's lines in terms of what they are protective and territorial about. To Prowl there's a wild animal in his backyard. To Jazz someone has the audacity to even look at him.

They tear into each other and rip each other apart- but, later, once they come to some kind of mutual understanding, once they form a treaty of sorts, knowing they can both protect and have what they want at the same time, they start to work together.

Jazz can guard Prowl whilst Prowl watches his territory. Sometimes he goes out to do the dirty work for Prowl. They're always a hair away from fighting each other again, but they live with it. It works. And it's kind of exciting.

Yo, Salt man. Decided to finally bite the bullet and dive into One Piece. Currently on Volume 4/Chapter 27 of the manga (also episode 2 of the Netflix live-action, really good ngl). I'm excited to read it, but the sheer length of the manga is extremely daunting to me, and I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth reading at this point. Dunno if you got any sort of tips or such to help someone like me through this, or at least boost morale?

Don’t worry! I felt the exact same way. The length of One Piece can feel really daunting when you start. However here is what I tell people to keep in mind:

Get to Arlong Park

This is what EVERYONE SAYS. But it really is true. Get to Arlong Park, and if you enjoy it, then you will 100% love this series. Arlong Park is the arc where One Piece starts to really become what it is known for (and in some senses Baratie too). And what’s cool is that as someone who has caught up, Arlong Park isn’t even my favorite anymore, far from it. Arlong Park made me a fan, but later stuff like Alabasta, Skypeia, and Water 7 especially made me HYPER FOCUS on the series.

Basically if you think Arlong Park and stuff like Baratie is good, it really only goes up from there, as it’s more or less a taste of what you’ll be getting as Oda develops the story. If you don’t like it tho? No harm no foul! You’re allowed to feel however you want! You can move on to something else if you feel like and that’s super okay. Though based on your current reactions I feel like you are def gonna like it LMAO.

You don’t have to binge ALL of it

You are totally allowed to pick it up and read a saga and then put it down to switch to something else for a bit. In fact, if you do find yourself getting too tired at points, def switch it up with another series, TV show, or video game! Nobody expects you to finish reading it in a month or something. It took me a full year to catch up after jumping on and off of it and I had a blast because I didn’t force it!

There’s a reason that the series is broken up into arcs and sagas! The end of a Saga specifically is meant to be a very good break point for you to do something else if you like!

And trust me, if you’re anything like me, you won’t want it to end. After I passed chapter 1,000 I had a sudden violent awakening that I was going to catch up and become a week to week reader and I got really sad LOL.

Being a One Piece reader feels rewarding!

This is something I would have loved to know going in, but reading/watching One Piece (especially nowadays) feels like an insanely rewarding experience.

I have no idea how Oda pulls it off, but there is information that is as immediate as Chapter 1 that is still relevant all these years later in Chapter 1,000+, it really feels rewarding to be into the series for so long.

I’ve never read or watched anything THIS LONG that rewards the reader like this, it’s so fun. And it’s also something that makes One Piece great to re-read or re-watch.

There are so many fun twists, turns, and reveals that are either foreshadowed, or established in a very small way early on. I can’t emphasize harder how fun and connected it makes everything feel.

I call it the opposite of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Because while Jojo will constantly reset itself with a new cast and characters every arc, instead One Piece doubles down, and is still revealing massive bombshells that we’re hinted at ages ago.

The series does show it’s age at times

I don’t like ending stuff on a bad note, but I like to let people know to keep in mind that One Piece has been running for a LONG time, and this can be both good and bad.

It’s good in the sense that I think it gets better and better over time, but bad in the sense that it does feature a couple of outdated depictions, as well as “Pervy” anime-esque humor that I honestly cannot enjoy personally. Just make sure you’re aware going in because some of it has aged… horribly.

That being said though, when One Piece gets depictions right it gets them SOOOO right.

There’s a reason that there’s an ongoing joke in the community that “Luffy would have died multiple times over if not for the Queer Community” lol it’s extremely correct

Reward yourself with the side content

One of my favorite things to do, is after I caught up to a certain point in the manga, is that I rewarded myself by watching one of the One Piece Films from around that time.

It’s a great thing to use as a rewarding little checkpoint and be like “Omg now that I’m this far, I can enjoy this fun animated film without fear of spoilers”.

And while a good chunk of films are very obviously not canon and don’t clearly fit into the overall story (I.e. there is not a good space for them to canonically exist) some of them actually do fit super well, and in my opinion, even add greatly to the overall story.

A big favorite of mine, One Piece: Baron Omatsuri, fits this description like a glove. Not only does it easily fit between the sagas of Skypeia and Water 7, but it even adds to the later themes of the story, and even foreshadows certain elements later on in a super fun way! Plus it’s one of the only One Piece films to have a very experimental direction, created by the guy who made Summer Wars. It feels very different, but in a super fun way, and works as a great little treat for getting as far as you have in the manga!

Anyway, I hope that this helps you out? Remember it isn’t a race, and you can pick up and put down the series whenever you want! There’s absolutely no pressure at all.

A part of me wants to kind of make a “read/watch list” for people who get into the series based off my own recommendation/experience. Obviously everyone is going to read and watch the anime in order, but it would probably be cool to know when you can check out certain side content like Anime-only specials and animated films during your read-through.

If anybody wants that let me know! (I’ll probably end up making it on my own time anyway I have zero self control).

I've seen some theories about the Collar and to what extent it actually controls james and like. as much as it would be less big and exciting to see it this way... what if the Collar is mostly symbolic? bc sarcean can talk people into doing what he wants anyway and james was obviously not immune to the charm (it's magnified for him even) well before will knew anything about himself or his powers so what if the collar was just a way to show other people that anharion belonged to him? but GOD if this moral stronghold of not wanting to manipulate james into kissing him and wanting him to do it of his own free will stops these boys from having a lil smooch for the majority of the third book I will Die

I've also seen people try to draw lines between will/sarcean and james/anharion as far as their past/present personalities and the consensus seems to be that will has a more clear line between himself and sarcean but I saw someone say it was more like intrusive thoughts and I think that's fascinating, also that will is seeing james and not anharion the betrayer when he looks at james but james in every sense is this cocky little asshole (affectionate) who flirts and uses his powers to take advantage of people while anharion in the past wasn't like that sooooo I think will isn't Seeing james as who he is I think he's seeing anharion for who he used to be before he turned against sarcean. which is so interesting when you think about will saying people shouldn't be judged by what they've done but what they can do

the tangled web of who hates who is so messy but I trust violet to, if not outright take will's side, then to convince the others to let him go like banish him or whatever instead of killing him right away (even if james's powers would physically protect him from that I just need violet to believe in him)

Can we get Larissa and Marilyn relationship headcanons, please, if no one has asked already?

Maybe how it started and other general relationship stuff?

Note: Going to preface this with the fact that I don’t ship this, however, I do enjoy the ship. Small difference. This doesn’t mean don’t ask me about it though!

And this will likely go more into au territory as, in my opinion, it wouldn’t work that well within the canon of the show unless quite a few things changed. Now that I’ve said all of that, let’s get into it.

Larissa Weems x Marilyn Thornhill Headcanons/ Rambles (w/ spoilers)

Larissa hired Marilyn at first just as an attempt to foster good relationships between outcasts and normies, Nevermore Academy and Jericho. Marilyn would’ve known this.

As the principal Larissa wouldn’t be able to just ignore Marilyn like the rest of the faculty appears to do, so all of the beginning interactions are pretty forced.

One hell of a slowburn. Oh my gods. This is not a relationship that just happens. You're here for the long haul or you're not here at all. (I'm probably gonna speed through it tho cause this a hc/ ramble post, not an entire fic lol)

Marilyn just wants Larissa to like her and genuinely accept her. Sure she's accepted as a teacher but again...that's mostly just for other reasons.

They both develop a respect for the other's work ethic and determination over time though and that's...it, for awhile.

It's likely that it's that mutual respect that leads to a somewhat stable friendship.

Somewhat stable friendship leads to more mutual trust, which leads to actual friendship, and in turn leads conversations not work related. Personal subjects. Learning about each other. You know, typical gateway stuff to either being just best friends or one wanting the other to push them against the wall and kis-....nevermind.

Marilyn has these thoughts first, for sure, but it's early and she can tell that these feelings are not reciprocated.

Larissa knows something is up but given that they're friends now, probably best friends, she doesn't pry. It'd feel wrong, and it's not like the feelings are getting in the way of either of their jobs so...eh.

Marilyn feels like she's walking on thin ice and as though as any significant mistake could undo all of the progress made between the two women, and included in that list of potential mistakes is confessing that she thinks she fallen for Larissa. She hasn't at this point it's more of an infatuation but still.

Marilyn's infatuation dies down eventually but it leaves behind genuine love.

Larissa would start to reciprocate this love before realizing that she's getting genuinely close to someone (again) and no matter if we go with her and Gomez, Morticia, or both, she's going to be resistant to the new whatever their relationship is becoming no matter what.

So she distances herself, going back to primarily professional interactions, which makes Marilyn worry she's fucked up. She hasn't but she's worried about it.

When Wednesday shows up they both have to put whatever mess they've got going on off to the side to make sure shit doesn't hit the fan, which fails, but still.

Shit hitting the fan actually pushes them to interact with each other more which, in turn, leads to them having to acknowledge their feelings for each other.

It all comes to a head at the Rave'N when Marilyn asks Larissa if she was excited about hers, and of course Larissa opens up about only remembering disappointment since Gomez chose to ask Morticia to it and not her....and then, y'know, ✨murder✨ happened.

They talk a little bit more and Larissa can almost swear the punch has been spiked, so she asks Marilyn to watch it for a bit while she goes somewhere else in the room to watch the students.

The whole paint revenge happens and of course Larissa is distraught, and everyone goes back to their dorms while she waits for the police and Noble to figure out what happened and why it happened.

Once all of that is figured out she'd go back to her office/room, still upset. (sidenote: I'm convinced that her bedroom is connected to her office).

After Marilyn gets back from everything with Eugene and Wednesday she goes to tell Larissa about what just happened as best she can.

Now Larissa is surprised that anyone came to her office at this time of night, as everyone was undoubtedly still shaken up from the events of the night. She's happy to see Marilyn though, almost happy enough to get up and hug her. She didn't see the other woman at all during the final events of the night and was worried she'd been the monster's next victim.

Professionalism? Yeah that's thrown out the window here as Marilyn decides her paperwork can wait and ,although she'd feel bad for interrupting Larissa doing her own paperwork, it wouldn't stop her from rushing over and hugging the other.

They'd probably hug for so long that Larissa lets Marilyn sit down on her lap just so she can hold her closer, professional relationship be damned.

The stress of the night and the relief of seeing each other would probably make them confess their feelings to each other.

It feels like forever passes before they let go of each other, going to their respective bedrooms, and calling it a night (well after Larissa finishes her paperwork. She ain't letting that go unfinished).

The next day whenever the both of them has a chance, they talk about the night before to figure out if they both meant what they said. If they in Larissa's office, which they probably are, they share a cautious kiss, not actually kissing until they're sure the other is okay with/ wants it.

Larissa does have to work through her own feelings of being in love with a normie, and Marilyn with an outcast, but they work through them both on their own and together.

General Relationship Things

Y'know that picture of one woman straddling the other while doing her makeup? Larissa is on the bottom and Marilyn is straddling her.

Lots of romantic stuff behind closed doors in order to keep a professional appearance on the outside...although they smile more at each other than in other teachers.

They do each other's hair. I'm right and I know it.

Sitting in each other's offices while one does paperwork and such, and the other grades homework.

Matching. Pajamas. Idk why or how but that thought just fit them.

Dates out in Jericho disguised as work meetings with a different atmosphere.

Late night walks together, and definitely some kisses as long as no students are around.

Promise. Rings.

They definitely have those magnetic necklaces that connect with each other to form a heart. I considered bracelets but it'd be much easier to hide a necklace with their outfits.

Larissa listening to Marilyn ramble and infodump about plants.

Marilyn listening to Larissa talk about various famous outcasts throughout history.

They know each other's Weathervane orders in case only one of them has the time to go out to it.

Extra Thoughts

Now there's definitely an area of conflict here, and it's the fact that Marilyn Thornhill is Laurel Gates, an outcast hating bigot. If we roll with that thought, and her plans for Nevermore with Tyler Galpin/the Hyde and Joseph Crackstone, who's to say she wouldn't be prepared to betray her own feelings for the beliefs she was raised with? That she wouldn't stab Larissa anyway and push down the guilt, crying before going to target Wednesday and the rest of the kids at the academy?

She could also decide not to go through with her plans after all, after a lot thinking, but still kill Noble Walker as he was about to uncover her secrets anyway. Sure the prophecy can't happen is Wednesday isn't there, but it also can't happen if Marilyn decides that she doesn't want to do it. Tyler wouldn't be able to force her to do anything either as he's under her control.

I don't think she'd come clean to Larissa about anything either, choosing to keep everything in the dark. It'd be easier that way.

Although let's say Laurel Gates is someone that Marilyn is working with instead. Under this idea Tyler could be a Nevermore student (if Hyde's aren't banned, obviously) and Marilyn unlocked him for his own safety, and she could've simply been manipulated into helping with the plan. Marilyn subtly outs her for this, leaving evidence where Wednesday can obviously find it and put things together.

Would all that information coming to light hurt Marilyn's relationship with Larissa? Without a doubt, however, since Marilyn was manipulated into things I can see them going to therapy about it separately and together until they've moved past it. Larissa would also pull some strings so Tyler is expelled for murdering people, as a favor to Marilyn and for Tyler's late mother, regardless of whether or not she knew her personally.

☾ Pairing: Fem! Malleus x Fem! Reader

☾ Date Prompt 4: Pumpkin Patch

☾ Notes: This request has too much power so I ended up doing headcanons because I got a lot of ideas. I'm so happy you requested fem!twst because no one else has, anon! It was a powerful one.

✦ Fem!Malleus goes along with your plan to go to a pumpkin patch. Briar Valley does have these but she’s never been to one herself. So, when you suggest this as your date for the weekend, she’s very excited to go.

✦ I imagine matching outfits with her because it would be cute and why not. I could see her wearing a long dress with puff sleeves and a straw hat and if you don’t wanna wear the same thing, at the very least the color scheme will match which will be up to you two.  

✦ Before getting there, she assumed that it would just be a bunch of humans looking through pumpkins and bringing some home. While she wasn’t entirely wrong, Malleus didn’t expect to see hay rides, some food stalls, and a corn maze to top it all off.

✦ Although her face is blank, her eyes are pretty much sparkling, especially at the pumpkin patch. She really wants to pick out a pumpkin with you but she also wants to check out everything else. Since she knows nothing about this, she lets you lead her around, making sure to keep you close by either holding your hand or keeping an arm around your shoulder because wow, there are a lot more people than she thought would be here. Plus, she doesn’t want you to get hurt by all the children running about.

✦ First stop was the corn maze and she got you through it pretty easily. How? I don’t know other than the fact that I’m sure she’s good at mazes. Who’s to say she didn’t explore abandoned mazes as well and just got good going through them? Not me, but I can make a headcanon out of it. But she did like how peaceful it was as the two of you walked through, and she may or may not have stolen a kiss or two whenever you were trying to determine which way to go.

✦ Food stalls were next and all she got was some apple juice the farm was selling since she wasn’t that hungry. She did end up getting some donuts to share with Lilia, Silver, and Sebek. She’s literally paying for anything you want because nothing is too expensive for you, eat to your heart’s content. Do you want to bring some home? Okay, she’ll pay for it as well. Don’t even bother trying to because she straight up just poofs the money into the vendor’s hand before you could even pull out your wallet.

✦ When the two of you finally head to the pumpkin patch to get your pumpkins, Malleus is inspecting nearly every single pumpkin wanting to know which one to bring home. She remembers you saying that you’re getting pumpkins to do some pumpkin carving, so she’s asking nearly everyone what makes a good pumpkin. Most end up being in awe or scared of her because tall, pretty woman asking questions. 

✦ She’s towering over almost everyone here which is pretty intimidating and not to mention, the fucking Princess of Briar Valley. She gets kind of pouty when no one really answers her questions until a nice elderly couple exploring approach her and help her pick out a pumpkin. Malleus is very happy when they do so and tells them she’s in their debt, which they laugh off because it’s literally just pumpkins but she would be so happy that someone approached her and helped. 

✦ She gets five pumpkins; one to carve with you, one for Lilia, one for Silver, one for Sebek, and one she can carve on her own. And no, she doesn’t carry all of these pumpkins including the food she got for them. She just teleports it to Diasomnia since she doesn’t want you to carry it on top of your own things but it’s in her room so the rest don’t find out. She wants to present it to her Diasomnia family when she gets back because Malleus also wants to tell them about her adventures with you at the pumpkin patch.

✦ Oh! And while you’re waiting in line to pay for your pumpkins, she’s eyeing some scarecrow plushies and notices you looking at them as well. She buys them. You guys have matching plushies to commemorate your date and the first time she went to a pumpkin patch now. Congratulations. I’m jealous. 

✦ Unfortunately, because of the long line, the farm is already closing for the day by the time you pay for your things. She’s a little sad but brightens up again when you tell her that you guys could come again the next weekend. 

✦ Malleus would, overall, have such a fun time looking at all the food and activities since she’s never been to one and she’s with you! When the two of you part ways and she’s back in Diasomnia, Lilia ends up texting you thank you for taking her young mistress out because now she’s raving about it, even if it doesn’t look like it. She really hopes that you guys go back and it becomes a yearly tradition because she had a lot of fun.

Either way, we're seeing 3 people over here, and Lee Know in his feelings over someone. A romantic confession has been made or is yet to be made, and I'd confidently say it's coming from him towards someone else. (mind you- this could also be talking about 1 person entertaining both him and someone else, whether he knows it or not!! he's being naive with his situation, so there's that…)

Changbin || three of wands, two of swords: I feel like he's single, to be honest… Changbin is focused on his wants and needs, and seems to have decided to stop sacrificing those in the name of love. It's all about personal development and choosing his peace. He's not searching for love; love must find him wherever he is.

Hyunjin || two of swords, three of wands (the temperance - to clarify why the repeated cards): ?? Is Hyunjin in on it with Changbin? Are they on a personal development journey together? He's trying to find balance and peace in his life. This also reminds me of when someone decides to start going to the gym in order to get their ideal figure, so they can date or flirt more confidently - does that make sense?? He's just trying to better himself and, until he reaches his desired goals, he's not letting relationships distract him.

Han || the hanged man, six of pentacles: He's single, I'd say, but there are some options available for him. Friends might be trying to set him up with someone or he could be trying to get someone's contact. Either way, he's not in a rush to enter a new relationship or make anything official with anyone.

Felix || three of swords, six of swords: He's currently getting over someone/a relationship that left him really heartbroken. He's focused on healing - that's all… very clear and short. Wish him the best!

Seungmin || the emperor, the empress: I- this man is very serious about someone right now… he's thinking long-term, family, building a legacy together. He feels like he found his perfect match! Don't ask me why I thought of this (I don't even know) but I feel like if Ciel and Lizzie tried to discuss a book...they could but it would be something like:

People can just like media without needing to over-analyze every detail. I know, it's different from what me and everyone else who's reading this post is used to, but it's something that happens. I get subjected to it every time i watch a show with my mum and I immediately get into deep analysis of the characters and their reasoning for doing things and my mum listens to my reasoning and likes the show but if I ask her a question about what she thinks about a character or smth she's there like "Idk I'm just following the show" WICH IS FINE!! IT DOESNT MEAN SHE ISN'T UNDERSTANDING THE OVERALL MESSAGE OR STORY OF THE SHOW!! SHE JUST DOESN'T JUMP AT THE IDEA OF GOING INTO OVER-ANALYZING EVERY SINGLE BREATH A CHARACTER MAKES THE WAY I DO!!! IT DOESN'T MEAN SHE'S STUPID!!!

So yeah. Although Lizzie would be different from my mum in the way that Lizzie would be able to point out her favorite or least favorite characters clearly - saying what she liked and disliked about them, and even enthusiastically comment on wich scenes she liked the most, wich means she and Ciel could actually have a two-way conversation that isn't like what me and my mum usually do (Me talking non-stop about themes and symbolism and what I think a scene could relate to irl while my mum happily but still silently listens - wich is also fine mind you, I just mean Ciel and Lizzie would go at it differently)

Also i know Ciel and Lizzie would probably prefer different kinds of literature but imo they would be able to find a middle ground. Ciel prefers darker stories, yes, but i believe he himself said he reads almost anything to keep up with what people like for his business, and either way he would compromise for Lizzie. He wouldn't MAKE her read something that could greatly upset her, just like she wouldn't MAKE him read something that is completely out of his interests, like a cheesy romantic novel that would bore him out of his mind five chapters in. They are pretty good at respecting eachother's boundaries most of the time, I feel.

So like...idk, Alice in Wonderland? Lizzie would like the vibes and overall fun colorful story. Ciel could maybe appreciate the non-sense theme in how everything works differently (as in he would sit there, compare it to things irl, and try to understand how the author got to the wilder ideas from there) and also compare it to how things work in the real world. (I haven't read Alice in Wonderland since I was really little - like late elementary or early middle school, so keep in mind I'm not an expert who could give a more exhaustive theory)

I have not read Sherlock Holmes ever (I tried once tho! And I do own some of the books!! I just never got around to reading more than a chapter or smth YEARS ago) so idk how Lizzie would find it, but it IS o!Ciel's favorite author and he loves these books very much so I feel like Lizzie would want to give them a shot. Ciel lets her because although it is a murder mystery, it's not a fully horror novel (be it flat out gore or psychological horror) - (...and also he is excited about talking about these books with someone he's close with, so he gladly takes a risk promising to himself he'll just stop her if she gets too upset about the deaths. You didn't hear it from me though).

Camila being close to Marcela is so random, like how does it get to the point where your daughter is besties with her dad's former fiancé especially considering how things went down? 💀 And if she actually prefers Marcela over Betty that will be insane, I hope they don't go for that route. This is just lazy on the writer's part, why not have her be close to Armando's long lost sister? They could have introduced that character. Marcela for sure changed, at least I hope she did and healed and even married someone else tho I haven't heard anything about that.

It looks like Patricia and Nicolás definitely got together. And she is either pregnant or was at some point because people zoomed in on a portion of the script Lorna was holding on a IG story she shared and it said something about a pregnancy. Not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, Gaitán must have had a good reason to avoid getting them together. I mean Patricia hardly changed her ways during the original run, but I've also heard that during the failed sequel, Ecomoda, the original plan was to bring Marcela and Patricia back at some point, but I don't know how accurate this is.

So far, I agree with you that this looks like a cash grab. It seems to me that AMO and JEA had wanted to do something together for years, but it didn't materialize until Betty was back on the table. This is why I hope that at least their chemistry is on point so at least this will be its saving grace, a couple of love scenes won't either, just putting it out there 🤭 But it there's tension between them since the beginning, and then Armando's memory loss plot is introduced, and we spend the rest of the episodes seeing Betty trying to make him fall in love with her again, probably there won't be as many romantic moments that truly reflect how their relationship has fared over time. Oh well, I'm not trying to get my hopes up, but I'm sure I will still be disappointed 😂 don't want to spread any negativity tho, you are such a sweetheart and don't want to spoil this for you if you are excited. It’s so random!! I don’t even know how B&A even let that happen!! If I were Betty I would never let my child near Marcela! Yea maybe Marcela has matured and changed her ways but I would still be wary. Afterall you never know what an ex might do or say to your child just to get revenge on you. If I were Marcela I’d definitely tell Camila that her mom is a home-wrecker (even tho that’s not true) just to cause drama😗. They better not go with that route. If Camila ever chooses Marcela over Betty imma riot! If anything I would love to see Camila close with Armando’s sister afterall she was technically named after her! But I have low expectations from the writers😑

It’s been confirmed by Natalia Ramirez that Marcela is divorced. Tbh I kinda find this sad. I was hoping she found her Prince Charming especially after what she went through with Armando. Who knows tho, maybe a side plot of the sequel is Marcela falling in love! That would be lovely ❤️

One of my fav ships in ysblf is Patricia x Nicolás. So I’m kinda happy that they end up together! Tho I doubt she’ll be pregnant during the sequel cause isn’t Patricia in her mid 50s? Isn’t that too late to be pregnant? Maybe she was pregnant and has a kid! That would be exciting! Imagine Patricia with a kid? That’s a sight to see😂. Someone mentioned that Patricia would’ve been a bad mother but idk motherhood can change a person so maybe she changed for the better? It would be interesting if Patricia got pregnant by a rando and Nicolas stepped in and took care of them just like he said he would during ysblf. Tho I understand why they weren’t meant to be during ysblf. They were both fakes so obviously their relationship went no where but things would’ve been different if they restarted their relationship after ysblf afterall they would’ve known each other better.

I’m so happy they’ve returned together! If there’s one thing that can save the sequel it would definitely be the chemistry between AMO and JEA. I hope we see something spicy in their office🤭 afterall we were robbed from one😭 I think what the writers are going for is for “new love” again. I for one would’ve also love to see how their love fared over time. One thing I’ve hated is how Armando couldn’t read Betty well in ysblf like the day she read the letter. I would’ve loved to see him understand how Betty feels and be able to communicate with her just by watching her. That’s something someone like Armando can only achieve over the years and if he gets amnesia then we’re gonna be robbed of this😭 Once he gets amnesia he’s going revert back to the person who can’t even read the room again. Tbh I’m scared to see asshole Armando again. I’m serious he better not even sniff another women or imma riot! I just hope the writers aren’t complete idiots.

rant about some frustrations about my gender/romantic interests/sexuality, stuggles with labels, and consequences (sorta) below (actually, after typing it out, it mainly ended up being abt my aro-spec self, with the beginning abt gender and tiny bit of sexual attraction)

i think the worst part of being on the spectra of ace, aro, and agender, but not being fully ace, aro, or agender is that it often requires way to much explanation to get yourself across fully and even then people get confused

so i usually just let everyone come to their own conclusions, but no i am not a pansexual transguy (or to those less well versed in the alphabet mafia, bisexual transguy, or even less well versed, bisexual born-in-the-wrong-body-but-now-a-guy) like, im fine with being seen as that!, but it is not who i am

i gave my cousin a 10 minute metaphor and after another half hour of questions and discussions he does get my view on my gender, but thats only one part (he is vv sweet tho, and every now and again refers back to the metaphor to ask how im feeling atm)

like, i dont like labeling myself, and i generally dont use microlabels, i have found a few that sorta get close to my views and experiences, but always with like a 5 minute caveat of this is why it does not fit exactly, and the people who are already well versed enough to be aware of the microlabels are also the ones accepting in listening to a long explanation if desired

from here on my rant will mainly be focussed on my experience/views on my being on the aro spectrum

but i am sooo tired of talking to someone abt smth (mainly romance tho) and having to either just nod along like i feel the exact same, say im aro (and them not accepting, or knowing different cz they have known me for a long time), or having to go into the full spiel of well no but also yes and having to deal with that instead of just the conversation at hand

or even worse, getting asked on a date and then having to deal with that whole thing, cz sometimes i genuinely do think it could be a thing, but it just requires way different expectations and/or circumstances than what that person/those people want or are able/willing to have/provide/give

i am also struggling with seeing my brother have similar(sorta) experiences(at least on romance, not the others). he has now found someone who is accommodating to him (idk her wants/needs/views, but i know that both of them are doing the "dating"(or being partners-ish) thing in a way that works for them). but i hate to see the way my family is reacting to it. like, they just do-not understand how they function, or why they're not boyfriend/girlfriend yet despite having been doing this since march, and they keep on making comments (not to them luckily, but vv much to me) abt their confusion, and wishes for them to just hurry up. or express excitement for him finally having found a partner and that they soo wished for him to have found one sooner, and that it was always meant to happen n stuff like that

and i just know that i will also get those, should i ever do the 'romance' thing, or will probably get even worse should i not do the romance thing

like, i just dont rlly care personally, but everyone else seems to care sooo much that at some point i will have to explain my feelings, and i am not looking foreward to the 'oh but you just haven't found the right person yet' conversation, like, yeah i KNOW, but also, if i dont find them thats fine by me as well?? like, i'm good? and finding the 'right' person(s) is not gonna work for me in all the ways youre suggesting????

i know people not doing it out of malice, and they mean well nd shit, but it is frustrating and tiring, and even worse so cuz i can't just say, i dont do romance at all

a hunt for hunger

so I've been watching haikyu and also been more concentrated on studying cause I've been liking it rn. I mean I'm just reading naive set theory rn and it's the one thing that makes me very infuriated and also very satisfied and happy consequently, and nothing quite beats the satisfaction of being able to conquer the concepts of a difficult chapter for example. Yesterday, even tho I couldn't really meet my initial expectations, I fought for 3.5 hours in one stretch and completed a section clearly, and damn it felt so good. To be able to just complete without being fazed by any distractions whatsoever, it's really fucking cool.

so I've been wanting to assess what I really crave for rn.

I've always thought that it's fine if you lose in smth if you try your best, all that matters is trying your best - put it another way, I've always taken the low risk low reward route for a more stable way up till here at the position I am rn. But not just haikyu but recently, I've been thinking of high risk high reward scenarios.

Let me explain. When you're aiming for something yourself, and you compete with yourself, and add to that the mindset of "it's all fine as long as you give it your best; losing is an option" - that's low risk, and low reward, and by this I mean you can probably achieve smth if you try well and hard enough, but it's still nothing in front of the kind of satisfaction, reward, relief, pride and so on that you'd get had you competed with someone else that is much better than you, maybe seeming even unreachable; if you believe that there is no option to lose, "YOU. MUST. WIN.", there's no going back or looking back whatsoever; this puts you in a more focused mindset where you give more than your best, you do beyond your 100%, stretch the limits, but this comes with a high risk - when you're so hellbent on something, the consequence of losing, while it's smth you won't ever think of according to the mindset, practically the consequence can be very shuddering, depressing, to extents that it could break people.

HOWEVER, that IMMENSE INTENSE PRIDE, JOY, SATISFACTION, POWER that you feel if you PULL THIS OFF, now THAT is absolutely UNPARALLELED.

ok I am actually kinda really excited for this. I've never done this before but this seems very fucking exciting.

let's try to stay rational tho - I have a bias for the kind of feelings to expect rn but it's not so simple, as in I'm having haikyu at the back of my mind, and w the same approach, the kinds of feelings would differ from success in either due to the sharp contrast among the situations themselves. In sports, these feelings are very immediate, and very exaggerated even sometimes. But in my field, academia, it isn't exactly that way. And there's also the bigger picture. What I really want to do. Well that shouldn't come in the way but it's smth I should keep in mind.

But the truth remains, I do have a hunger for praise, recognition, respect. I do have a hunger for knowing a lot about my subject, and a hunger of being able to perform very well. A hunger for winning in competition that I'd suppressed really deep within myself in fear of it being self-destructive (it very well can be).

Now here's the thing, I had been grasping for a platform up until I got into my college, now I have a very good platform to stand on and also to relish about. I've proven that I can stably make it here and be alright here. I've grown to a point that I can't be broken down easily at all, heck it'd take a real lot to break me down, if ever. I've grown rather strong in my journey here. And yes that's a bold claim I am willing to make, I have that trust in myself.

So now is really a good time to try out something new, try something out of my character even (at least seemingly), try out something kinda insane for me. I think it's a good time indeed to really put myself in the competition. I'm good enough to thrive on the losses so I'll destroy the way back, there is no looking back, I WANT to feel that JOY, SATISFACTION, PRIDE, RELIEF, TENSION, PRESSURE. I am UP FOR THE CHALLENGE goddamnit. Count me in.

I've always imagined my focus to be a circle of sorts and a combination of a cool blue and white - representing peace. I imagine my focus before any tense situations to help myself remain calm but concentrated and focused. Chirai. To be specific. I named it chirai, it's not just my focus imagination, it goes much deeper, but it stands for everything that is me. Anyway, it's time to add a second element to Chirai. An element of red and orange. A bright to blood red adrenaline representing and a radioactive hyperactive terror inducing alarming emergency yellow-orange to the combination. A terrifying state that I love to be in actually, I have a knack for being extremely at edge, I like that, it drives me and sometimes it's been my driving force for situations that require a lot of willpower and fearlessness. I close my eyes and imagine blood red filling my eyes, the yellow-orange frantically shaking to indicate an emergency state; a state of terror, not for me, but for others. An adrenaline filled recklessness of forgetting everything and driving on your primal desires. A terrifying energy of a bloodthirsty monster of sorts. Now that's the kinda focus I'd want to imagine for competition.

Now chirai peace is still going to be there cause recklessness yields naught, but I'm really excited about trying this new combination. I've seriously never tried this. insane no? maybe I was worried if I should put myself through it, valid. I want to now tho. ok. we'll figure out the other stuff as we go on the way.

And oh boy I'm gonna do it. It all starts from a bold proclamation that you swear on your life and existence, everything about you to fulfill, to complete.

For the time being, while I don't have a very distinct picture of what very particularly I want, I have a few things -

achieve a gpa of 9.5+ this sem.

finish reading my stock of extra books that I've collected.

I realise that this feels and looks kinda stupid. heck it's like smth the booky nerdy freaks would decide to try, a class of ppl I rather despise personally for having nothing going on in their life. For that very reason, I shall add another point. This ought to make things really interesting -

i was writing this ask and honestly don't remember if i sent it or not so sorry in advance 😭✋️ i disagree with the previous anon, the problem isnt people focusing on the miscarriage, i think, personally, that people just really like the universe and want to see more, and since things about this story could be spoilers, they ask the hypotheticals (the baby, the pregnancy). At least thats the way i see it. Im equally curious about charles courting max and about max slowly but surely seeing charles as a safe space to kind of get away from everything (🥰) as i am about the baby, but i imagine that would be spoilers and wouldnt ask because maybe you would find it annoying seeing as its going to be in the next chapter. I am really excited about this story, because, like you said, it is a very clear that it's about a growing relationship and your writing and analysis are so so so good. You get us on our toes and dont treat them one dimensionally, I think its very easy to write Max as headstrong and Charles as sweet but you show another side to it (like real people are lol often not one just one thing). Its good tho that you spoke up about anyways so that we know what to focus on. I am curious tho because i wouldnt want to intrude: what are the kind of things that we can send in abt this story without being too invasive? I think most people writing a story would go "oh charles should protect max from jo and not let them see each other" but its much more complicated than that, its his father figure still and they dont only have bad moments. The same thing with charles x ferrari. I see a lot of fics where max pushes charles to go to red bull and sure, thats fun to read, but max understanding the deep attachment charles has to ferrari is much nicer. He knows its not only about a wdc, its about charles' father, jules, his relationship with the team etc. Tell me if im wrong but thats just what i observed
