i could just write "lesbian cheerleader" and leave it at that, tbh

but all of it feels very representative of mai

jennifer only became what she did because she was lusted, preyed on and hurt by men

mai is a very hurtful person, but a huge part of that is because of the zenin clan and all their misogyny

i feel like jennifer & mai both feel the need to be the "tough bitch"

and both were, in a way, abandoned by the woman most important to them—jennifer by needy (her "heart") and mai by her sister

at first, my only reason was their aesthetics—momo is such a dainty character, and she has this air of sophistication

it just reminded me of elaine's feminissima attire and soft voice

but the themes of the film are quite similar to momo's monologue

elaine saying "[men] can get crushed down if you assert yourself in any way" and "[men want] just a pretty woman to take care of them" mirrors momo telling nobara that it's not just about strength, because "women have to be cute, or they'll be undervalued"

both of them recognize that men really do not care about women if it's not for their beauty or body

and i guess that because of it, they taught themselves to be physically attractive and shaped their personality to be what a male-dominated society wants or expects of them

or, in fewer words, to be desirable to men

in elaine's case it's for "love", and for momo it's just to move along in life

Todoroki Shoto Headcanons

(Peppermint Boi has ARRIVED)

1/ Asexual Aromantic. Tried dating Momo in the first year but was just super awkward and just... didn’t really show much interest in anything? They had a talk and Momo just smacked her head and was like: “Shoto, darling. You are asexual, and I’m Lesbian. This is not working”

Cue Shoto: “... what does that mean?”

2/ Basically 1A’s sugar daddy but with no benefits to him other than making his friends happy. Everyone has something that was bought with Endeavor’s money one way or another.

3/ Kaminari, bless his soul, tried to teach Shoto the wonderful art of memes and TikTok! Shoto.... didn’t get it. At all. He had no idea why this dance was seen as amusing or why does the cat want the cheeseburger? This is grammatically incorrect oh my god- Kaminari was pulling his hair out as Shoto tried to explain why it didn’t make sense.

4/ The eyesight in his right eye is kind of shot so he usually tilts his head to the side so he can see something better.

5/ sneezes like a kitten. Just soft, delicate little sneezes that sound like a girl should be making them but nope it’s just Sho.

6/ Or he sneezes like he’s yelling and sets something on fire. There’s no in between.

7/ Tall and just- LEG. He’s like 70% legs and once he slipped on his own ice and it was like watching Bambi trying to regain his footing. His pants are always a bit too short because if they fit in length then they don’t fight around his waist, but if they fight around his waist they’re a couple centimeters too short.

8/ Has an impeccable fashion sense... chooses to dress like a 16 year old hermit whose never been out of the house to piss off his dad.

9/ Favorite Disney movie is Frozen, but not for Elsa. He thinks the romance between Anna and Kristoff is sweet. Hans is a bastard and he YELLED when Hans betrayed Anna.

10/ Favorite dessert is either strawberry cake or baklava. He can’t choose.

11/ Has a ramen/ soba addiction and the class is nearly ready to have an intervention. Shoto will do anything for cold soba. He’d sell his soul for cold soba. Has he already? No one knows.

12/ Has slightly different skin tones on either half of his body, but they’re too close to really tell. Left side is Rei’s skin tone, and right side is a slightly paler version of Enji’s.

13/ Favorite animal is snow leopards. He thinks they’re pretty.

14/ Has the SLIGHTEST amount of baby fat left on his tummy and the Izuku-crew LIVES for squishing it. Uraraka? Squishes his tummy and says “squish!” Izuku? Pats it and plays drums on his tummy when they’re cuddling. Iida? Runs his hand over it when they all have sleepy squad cuddles. Shoto is suffering but deep down he LIVES for the attention he gets.

15/ Refers to Bakugou as the ‘first friend I made other than Midoriya’ and Bakugou just shakes in rage. Genuinely views Bakugou as a friend and likes his company, especially when he’s not yelling and threatening to kill him.

16/ social skills are non existent. Gets so nervous when he has to talk to new people because what if they don’t like him? What if he accidentally insults them? And he just works himself up into a tizzy and then Midoriya, the anxious bean himself, has to calm him down.

17/ Pretty smart but is still dyslexic. He has to read something a few times before he starts getting it, or listen to the audio version, but once he gets it then there’s no stopping him.

18/ Handwriting? Unreadable gibberish chicken scratch. His father didn’t see penmanship as important so he just left Shoto to do his own thing when writing was concerned. Thus creating the unreadable crap that is his handwriting today. Momo is shaking. That is no way you hold a pen. Bakugou wants to cry because those notes? Organization is nonexistent and they’re not able to be READ at all! Please someone help them.

💧— Random angst headcanon momo is super closeted not necessarily bc of queerphobia but bc she’s an only child and an heir to a fortune and she has a lot of self-doubt bc of the pressures that surrounded her growing up. be quiet, be polite, be clean, be respectful. so i think that she just. is closeted. not just as a lesbian but as a person too, i think she just kind of hides herself and is unsure about so many parts of herself.she compares herself to others a lot and in turn doubts herself and hides her passions and pleasures away

☔️— What are they like when they’re emotional? How quickly do they recover? quiet. it takes a lot for her to actually cry but she gets overwhelmed by her own mind pretty easily. she bottles things up so while she’s freaking out on the inside, sometimes it can be hard for others to tell. when she does cry, she tries to be polite about it. she will excuse herself and try to keep quiet. she recovers “quickly” she’ll cry for 5 minutes or less and be “fine” but like i said, she bottles things up so unless she actually bares her soul, chances are whatever she’s going through is still lingering

🍽— Do they do a lot of cooking? yes!! her nannies taught her how to cook and bake things so that she could fuel her quirk on her own! momo loves making homemade trail mix and granola, it sounds boring but you can have a large variety and it’s practical! 

🧡— How do they say thank you/show appreciation? politely! profusely! momo has an upper-class social education so she’s a pro at thank you cards, gifts, and favors and it’s what she’s used to. things. this for that. IOUs. so she struggles a bit when some people (like uraraka or bakugou) don’t want things as tokens of thanks/appreciation. it takes a bit of adjustment for her to switch love languages with people but it’s very worth it <3

A good concept which I’m always up for, but to be honest with you I’m more of a fan of the other way around :O like, Kiri is so good and bright and friend with everyone, jealousy might as well be something Bakugou’s used to by this point - but Bakugou, people tend to avoid him or think of him as rude and annoying, Kirishima wouldn’t be used to jealousy at all you know? So I like it that way around more haha

I wouldn’t call it an artblock, it’s more like… like your mind is one step ahead of your skills, I’d say. If treated right, you can turn that feeling into improving your art! What is it that you don’t like? Can you break it down to smaller things? Is it the line work or the coloring style, or even just the way you draw eyes or hands or noses? If you can focus on the smaller parts of what you don’t like in your style you can then look up a way to do the same thing that you do like, and practice that till you’re satisfied with it! One small thing might not mean much by itself, but putting all these small things together is how you make improvement happen :D
