Jesus rumple is not going to kill henry. We all know that. You only kill kids if you're truly evil and rumple isn't.
Okay without context, that scandalized look is hilarious.
With context it's heartbreaking.

Pairing :
Leroy Jethro Gibbs X Reader
( crossover with Madam Secretary)
JETHROâSÂ POV:
âGood Morning loveâ I say caressing Y/Nâs hair as she lay against my chest.
â Good morning Darling.â She says grinding against my hardness , gently stroking it .
We kiss as she runs her fingers through my hair.
â Sweetheartâ she says â we are gonna be late for work.â
â Well I can be a bit lateâ, I say getting on top of her, rubbing her clit pushing in my fingers inside her pussy. As she got right at the brink at the edge, I pulled my fingers away ,getting up.
â gonna be late for workâ I smirked.
â Leroy Jethro Gibbs , you get your cute butt over here right now  and fuck meâ Y/N fumed.
â Arenât you gonna be late for work ?â I grinned
â Jethroâ she groaned. â Oh Fuck I can be late one dayâ.
â Goodâ I said going down on her and eating her out. I flicked my tongue up and down, lapping up her juices. I sucked on her clit and thrust my tongue in her. â Ohh fuck. Ohh fuckâ she moaned â Jethro fuck. Yeah on yes. Jethro Oh Jethroâ she screamed as she came.
â Yummy . Such a lovely breakfastâ I said as she pulled me up to kiss me. I lined my dick along her pussy , rubbing my tip along her clit. Then rubbing my cock along her pussy a few times I entered her. She pulled me close, wrapping my legs around my waist. I took off her hoodie, well technically mine and nibbled her nipples. This made her clench around my cock as she arched her hips towards me. We both were close. I took her mouth in mine , grabbing her hips and thrusting deep. She came and I followed her. We held each other as we panted against one another.
â This is a really good morning â I grinned kissing her forehead.
â Yepâ she giggled as we claimed each otherâs lips.
âŚ.
Â
Late in the afternoon I saw Y/N walking towards the bullpen.
â What brings you here love? Miss my cute butt?â I smirked.
â Jethroâ she tried to glare at me, but ended up turning red. â No silly.â She giggled .â State wants update on the positions of your Navy ships , and the signal intelligence that you have gathered.â â Though you do have a cute butt.â She chuckled.
âActually Blake, Jay  and Nadine is also here. This is top priority for state . You know keeping the Indian Ocean and the South China sea safe.â
âŚ..
âReaderâs POV:
â So what do you think is up with boss?âTony said
â what?â I asked.
â He is not grumpy. He is smiling, laughing. I think thereâs a woman .â Tony mused.
â Yeah boss is so cheerful. He is being pretty tolerant to Tonyâs nonsense too.â McGee said.
â You mean less forceful headsmacks?â I chuckled.
â Less frequent too.â Ziva observed.
â Maybe itâs the new coffee ?â Palmer mused.
â Well it still sucks â I said sipping the bland NCIS coffee.
â Yeah thatâs trueâ Nick  nodded.
â Maybe itâs the fresh coat of orange paint on the wallsâ Kate reflected.
â Canât be.â Ellie said .â Itâs more tackieâ.
â He looks smittenâ Jessica commented. â Maybe itâs a woman onlyâ
â He looks like a man in love.â Ducky observed.
â I tell you itâs a womanâ Tony nodded. â Did you see the hickey peaking out from under his collar.â
Shit ,I am responsible for that hickey. Last night in the throes of passion ,I was pretty wild. Thereâs more than one hickey. Good thing they donât know that. Atleast mine are hidden by my turtleneck.
â Well he is really sexy. So hot. Anyone , I mean any woman will love to be with him.â Blake sighed. â He can get laid anytime he wants.â
I smacked Blake. Well serves him right. Keep your eyes off my Gibbsy.
â Ouchâ he said. â What was that for?â
Truth was I was jealous when Blake called Gibbs hot and Sexy. I mean I know about how Blake has got a man crush on him . Well Gibbs is hot and sexy , but only I got to call him that.
â For being stupid. He wonât be smitten with any woman.â
â So what kind of woman would Gibbs be smitten with. Come on Y/N you read people . Analyse him.â
â What and get myself smacked in the head.â I joked. â Probably someone who likes the smell of coffee and sawdust â I chuckled , knowing fully well how I like that smell on Gibbs.
â Come on . Let the man be in love without us butting our headsâ Nadine said.
â Now while you are gossiping , I need to get this file signed by him.â â Maybe I will ask him whoâs the woman?â I laughed.
I walked into the Directorâs office. Since the director is in a NATO summit , Gibbs is filling in on him.
â You know you have become the talk of the townâ I laughed. â They think you are so cheerful cause you are in love.â
â I am in love. I love you Darling.â He said pulling me into his lap.
â Jethro Rule 12?â
â Well you work for the State Department so we are okayâ he chuckled and kissed me.
â So itâs okay to make out in the office , I guessâ I said   laughing.
â Yep loveâ he said as he nuzzled at my neck.
â So be ready around 7 for our Dateâ he said. â We are going to the nice little Chinese place that you love so much.
â Okay. You will go out first , then I will follow. I will walk around a bit before you pick me up. There are trained investigators who are observing you. We donât want to get caught do we?â I giggled adjusting his collar. â Ohh hide that Hickey. Tony already noticed it.â
â I think I like that Hickey on meâ he smirked.
âŚ.
Â
âY/N âNadine said. â We are all going to grab dinner? You coming.â
â Nope , got plans tonight â. I said.
âYou have applied your favourite wine lipstick, the smoky eyes, you are going for a date arenât you?â
â Yepâ
â From your makeup , I figure you are getting laid tonight.â
â Yep.â I blushed
â So whoâs the mystery guyâ Blake asked huddling closer with Nadine so others canât hear.â
â Mystery Guyâ I chuckled.
â Donât forget to use a condomâ
â Nadine!â
â What just make sure that the Dick inside you is shielded. Just tell him to wrap his willyâ she laughed.
â Maybe you could lose the turtleneck, wear something plunging. I have a spare blouse in my bagâ.
â Canât Nadine, gonna have to wear the turtleneck â.
â Why? You mean there are hickies?â
â I mean this Dick rocks my world  and last night he kinda left evidence of it hereâ I say  rubbing my neck and collarbone.
I saw Gibbs  walking down the stairs. He looked at me and winked in a way no one else notices. I softly smiled , biting my lips before I start grinning like an idiot.
â Hey Boss , wanna grab Dinnerâ. Tony asked.
â Got plans DiNozzoâ
â Wait Jethro, is that a dress shirt that you are wearing? Whatâs with a tie?â Ducky asked.
â Boss ? Is that Cologne ,I am smelling?â Tony asked amused.
Gibbs smirked and made his way to the elevator.
â I told you itâs a womanâ Tony said.
â Ok guys , while you are speculating on a guyâs love life, I actually got my end of the paperwork done, so off I go, enjoying my love lifeâ I giggled making my way out of the bullpen.â
âŚ
â I canât believe you ordered Wine Jethro. I mean you are a total Bourbon and Scotch guy.â
â Well the wine is for special occasionsâ he smirked.
â So whatâs the special occasion ?â I asked.
â You winning the national book critics Circle awardâ.
â Itâs just an award.â
â Well I am proud of you loveâ he said. â I want to pamper youâ.
He pulled me close and taking my hands into his , he gently bushed his lips against my fingers.
â Btw whatâs up with the Cologne.â
â Itâs for you loveâ.
â Well I like it. But I do like sawdust and coffee moreâ I blushed. â Itâs kind of hotâ.
He leaned in , taking my lips into his shoving his tongue inside me.
â Boss, Y/ Nâ I heard Tony.
â Guysâ I said embarrassed .
â So you are with Gibbs?â McGee asked surprised.
â You two are playing tonsil tennis so that means ..âTony trailed off.
â That means you are Gibbsâ s woman.â McGee concluded.
â Yep, guys meet the love of my lifeâ Gibbs said holding me close. â I Love you Y/N.â
â Ahh I love you so muchâ I whispered.
â Wait that means ⌠he is the Dick that rocks your worldâ
â Blakeâ I warned feeling embarrassed.
â Wow itâs great .You two are in love.â Abby said excitedly.
â We had no idea. Right under our nosesâZiva chirped.
â Well I totally missed the signs. Thinking of it why are you wearing a turtleneck in this weather Y/N.â Kate asked
â Guys I think we should let the lovers go on with their date. You hold on to her Jethroâ Ducky said.
â I plant to. Foreverâ Jethro said kissing me on my cheek.

19 - The Pirates Crocodile pt 2
Part. 20
Princess Red Thief
Tag list - just ask to be added @mystrey101 @melvia-ito @kmc1989 @tallrock35 @onentaien-kwar
Rain began falling down on us from the sky before I could hear cars coming from our side of the red line meaning it had to be Emma with her sheriff's vehicle. Raising my head up I winced, pressing a hand to my side hip and when I drew my hand back my fingers were fresh with my own blood. âOh that canât be good - what - why isnât it working?â I waved my hand over the wound in an attempt to heal myself but nothing happened.
Rumple pushed himself to his feet finally finding his cane on the ground getting his injured leg stable. He offered me a hand helping me to stand seeing blood on my hand. âYouâre bleeding, lass.â
âItâs not working. My magic - it isnât working, Rumple.â I blurted out feeling my chest beginning to tighten meaning it must be a panic attack.
âDid you see his face? His one true love, gone in an instant! Just like Milah, crocodile! When you took her from meâŚâ Hook chuckled covered with scratches across his face when Emma came over when they pulled up beside the crashed car.
âBut you took her first.â Rumple lunges, leaving me standing behind him when he goes to attack Hook, digging his cane into his neck.
Emma gasped. âGold, are you insane?!â
âYes, I am!â He growled down at Hook.
Charming grabbed his arm trying to pull him off. âYou canât do that!â
âI can if you let me go.â
âYou donât want her to see that.â Emma looking in my direction seeing my muddy clothes and soaked hair with some blood seeping out of my bullet wound.
âI say let him suffer a little bit considering he freaking shot me! - gah!â I grunted, pressing my hand to the wound before I saw my vision beginning to blur in front of me and I collapsed down onto the ground.
The next time I was opening my eyes I heard multiple people talking and sirens going off behind me. âCar versus pedestrian. Chest trauma from the wheel. Pedestrianâs got contusions, broken ribs.â
A nurse shouted running past my hospital bed. âGo to X-ray. Pedestrian first.â
âHide him. Find a room and hide him.â Emma grabs the nurse standing near my bedside who gave her a weird look when she saw them bringing an injured Hook inside.
Lifting my head up from the pillow I recognized the new voice. âEverly! Whatâs going on, where is she?â
âGet him out of here!â Charming stepped forward trying to block him from me.
Rumple tried to push him back. âWell, whatâs happening? Eve!â
Leroy, who was really Grumpy the dwarf, entered the conversation not sure what had happened. âIâd like to know that myself.â
âEverly! Everly!â I heard Rumpleâs voice calling out for me before Charming pushed his hand against his chest with everyone yelling.
âRumple!â I winced trying to get off the table but a nurse pushed me down before I felt pain shoot to my bullet wound.
Dr. Whale finally joins everyone here in the emergency room entrance. âEverybody, calm down! Mr. Gold. Everything will be fine. Sheâs in good hands here. I promise.â
âThen I suggest you start doing your job before I turn you into a snail and step on you if anything happens to her!â Rumple threatens him before he shoves himself between the nurse and me, taking my hand in his with fear across his face. âEve, just tell me if you want me to remove the bullet rather than these idiot doctors.â
âIâll let them take care of it. Just be in my hospital room when I wake up.â I squeezed his hand being rolled away from him getting me into surgery.
Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I blinked the sleepiness from my line of sight before I lifted my head upward slightly noticing that my beloved husband was asleep in the chair directly pulled up at my bedside. Scooting to the edge of the mattress I shook his shoulder, waking him up by my soft voice. âRumple. Rumple, wake up. Wake up.â
âHmm - Eve - Everly. Ohh I was so worried about you all the time you were in surgery. How are you feeling now though?â Rumpleâs head shot up and his eyes landed solely on me. He raised a hand up to the side of my face and I leaned my cheek into the palm of his hand.
Placing my hand over the one on the side of my face I intertwined our fingers together without a hint of hesitation. For that very brief moment we werenât the Red cloak wearing Princess and the Dark One. We were innocently just Everly and Rumple. âIâll get better. Right now Iâm just sore, tired and I want to sleep safely and sound back at home with you and the kids.â
Rumple nodded his head in agreement giving me those puppy dog eyes. âLetâs get you out of here, princess. Youâve been locked up long enough.â
Dr. Whale saw Rumple and I stumbling down the stairs and into the lobby where he rushed over to examine my body for injuries but obviously found none. âYou shouldnât be out of bed. What - you fixed her bruising. Look, listen to me, you fixed me. Now fix him. It will take you seconds and cost you nothing.â
Rumple snapped back at him. âNo.â
Dr. Whale questioned him. âNo? Just⌠No?â
âI owe you nothing, Whale. I owe none of you anything. And some of you, owe me. So, yeah, just⌠No. Oh, and point of interest â the driver? He saw me throwing some magic. So, instead of trying to get him out of here, you better be hoping he dies. Because if he doesnât, heâs going to be driving tour buses up and down main street. So glad I donât give a damn.â Rumple removed his hand from mine, waving it in front of his chest. He looped his hand back in my hand and we made our way out of the hospital.
By the time we got back to the house I immediately plopped my body down in the recliner we had by the main window. Sprawling my body out arms and legs out I sighed in relief hating how uncomfortable those hospital beds were. âHave I ever told you how much I have missed this house after what happened last night.â
âIâm glad I can make this place comfortable for you. Itâs nothing compared to my castle back in our land but-â
I reassured the dark one knowing he felt somewhat insecure about having a family with a former princess. âWe could be here or in a castle or a small cabin in the woods and Iâd still be happy with you. Wherever we end up I will always be happy with you. Because I love you.â
âI love you, Eve.â Rumple came over to me while I was laying in the chair planting a kiss on my forehead gently. âThe others in this town know we have a long history. So theyâll know this to be true. If any harm comes to you and our children while Iâm gone, Iâm killing all of them.â
He drew back slightly once I had looped my hand in his free one. âRumple, stop worrying. Actually let me go with you. We already saw I can leave town like you can.â
âI wish you could come with me but you canât. This is my path that I have to go through alone.â Rumple squeezed my hand in his hand before he grabbed his car keys and I watched him leave through the front door sending me a smile before he shut the door. Closing my eyes I finally allowed myself to get some sleep.

Gibbsâ Rule #8: Never take anything for granted. That one hit us hard when Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), the sometimes grumpy but always gutsy special agent in charge of NCIS, unexpectedly retired to go fishing in Alaska in 2021. Weâll get another chance to appreciate the âgrab your gearâ guy in NCIS: Origins, a 1991-set prequel in which the young Gibbs (Austin Stowell) starts work at what was then known as NIS at the Camp Pendleton office in California. The icing? Harmon returns to narrate.
âMark Harmon has done a job that actors dream to do. Heâs captured the world and so that is just slightly daunting,â says Stowell who watched numerous episodes to prepare. âBut getting to know Mark has really been paramount to me stepping into these shoes and trying to fill them.â
Harmonâs key words of advice to Stowell were âtrust yourself.â Harmon also acknowledges the challenge for an actor to play an existing character, saying, âThis is a little different because some things are already in place and an audience knows where this leads years ahead.â
The idea for the series came from Harmonâs son Sean, whoâd played the younger Gibbs in NCIS flashbacks.  âI believe that very few people are actually âborn leadersâ and are instead forged into them, and Gibbs is no exception,â says Sean Harmon. âDigging into the backstory of âthe bossâ seemed like a good opportunity to find out why Gibbs turned out the way he did and who was around to influence him on that journey.â
Mark Harmon suggested the best people to create the series would be longtime NCIS writers David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal who executive produce and are co-showrunners. They asked the senior Harmon to narrate.
The two-hour premiere introduces a Gibbs fresh back from Desert Storm, grieving the loss of his wife and daughter and trying to get his bearings with a new team. One of them is a younger version of a face familiar to NCIS fans, Gibbsâ confidante, Special Agent Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid, Six, in a role originated by Muse Watson as the older Franks).
âFranks is the one who brings Gibbs into NIS. It was an opportunity to perhaps save a lost soul,â says Schmid who emailed and spoke with Watson as part of his preparation. âTaking on a character played by such a wonderful actor is a bit of a challenge. You have to play by a certain set of rules. The mustache is a trademark of Museâs. I wear dark brown contacts every day at work. I took on a dialect coach, so Kyle Schmid now sounds like Mike Franks all the time.â
The rest are new characters including Special Agent Cecilia âLalaâ Dominguez (Mariel Molino).
âIâm interpreting someone whoâs a former Marine, now a female agent at NIS and Iâm excited to jump into that, especially in the Nineties, which is such an incredible era,â says Molino. âI love that there are no [cell] phones, no internet, no social media. Everything we portray is direct contact.â
So will any romance develop between her and Gibbs? âIâm trying to prove myself. Itâs not a romantic vibe,â Stowell says. âThey are kindred spirits, both bullheaded, stubborn and smart. They say opposites attract. So, what happens when people are the same?â
Gibbsâ first friend on the force is someone whoâs not much like him at all: Special Agent Bernard âRandyâ Randolf (Caleb Foote). âGibbs is a bit of a lone wolf. Randyâs a bit of an extrovert. In this naval investigative setting, thereâs hundreds of people, half of them in camouflage because it takes place on Camp Pendleton, and Gibbs is a deer in the headlights. Randy sees that and immediately goes out of his way to make this person feel welcome. We create a friendship pretty quickly,â Foote says. âItâs cool to create a character that helps Leroy Jethro Gibbs to become the great detective that he is.â
Not in the field but equally important in solving cases are the assistant medical examiner Dr. Lenora Friedman (Lori Petty, Orange is the New Black), and the head of the NIS forensics lab, Woodrow âWoodyâ Browne (Bobby Moynihan, Saturday Night Live).
âIâm the goofy scientist who figures out weird stuff. Itâs like working with the Muppets, you immediately realize you are not the important part. Youâre just there to make the Muppets look awesome,â says Moynihan, of supporting the NIS team. âIâm splicing a lot of videotape. I have a hundred million [paper] files. I donât have a laptop. They show the old tech.â
The first case will focus on a series of interconnected murders âthat bounce off of our characters in a really emotional way,â North says. Adds Monreal, âGibbs is thrown into this job and heâs in over his head, but in a way, this case is tailor-made for him, so he has an opportunity to shine.â
Weâll see a lot more emotion from the younger Gibbs than weâre used to as longtime NCIS fans. âThe Gibbs that Gina and I wrote for so many years had learned to push it all that emotion down. This Gibbs hasnât learned that yet,â says North.

okay okay so how about âwhatâs up, kiddo?â or âwell, when i was a kidâŚâ OR âpff. what are you, my [dad/mom/parent]?â from the parent and child relationship ask for, predictably, anyone court related (leroy, leona, lampwick, emma if you like)? basically, any thousand problems vers. because I love them very much (:
I have a suspicion that you put some of those suggestions in there knowing FULL WELL what you were doing đâ¤ď¸
Parent/child prompts
"Pff. What are you, my [dad/mom/parent]?â
By the time Leroy's done chewing Happy up for his dumb idea and has climbed back onto the truck, the boy looks ready to fall asleep, his head lolling against the window as if filled with rocks.Â
On a normal day, Leroy would be more than happy to let Lampwick conk out, because the gods know that kid doesn't get enough sleep, but as this is not a normal day, and rocks would probably make better decisions anyway, he slams the door closed and starts the engine with a little more force than usual, keeping the volume up as he speaks. âOh, no, kid, you're not escaping this. Look alive or I'm leaving you at the dump site.â
Lampwick whines like a kicked dog, rubbing a hand down his face. âNobody asked you to come anyway.â
âDoc asked. And it's a good thing he did, âcause if he'd let Happy drive after getting you pissing drunk-â
âYou're making a big deal out of nothing. I had like- a beer.â The boy wavers, his eyes momentarily unfocusing before he snaps back into the conversation. âMaybe two beers. Or three. But it's whatever. Stop shouting.â
Leroy has to laugh, then, because it would be very fucking funny if he weren't so angry. âGive me a break. You're sixteen. That ain't a call you can make anywhere around here, you little idiot.â
âYou do worse all the time, why're you getting on my case now?â
Good question. Why? Why did it set Leroy's blood boiling to find out this stupid redheaded brat was being offered drinks by his brothers - people he trusts not to drive a teenager to alcohol poisoning, at the very least? Why did his stomach sink alongside that, of all things?
He thinks he has some kind of answer, deep down. Unfortunately, right now he'd rather chew on glass than spit it out, so the next best thing is to snap ââCause if you donât have the sense to know what youâre not supposed to be doing, youâve got no business copying what I do, kid!â
Lampwick has the gall to scoff at that, thick skull that he is. âWhat are you, my dad? Youâve got no business telling me what I can or canât do. I was having fun. If you canât get off my dick about that, maybe Iâm better off walking home, you know?â
That stings. Damn him, he probably doesnât mean even half of it, but it still stings. âYeah? Maybe I should kick you out, then- youâre stinking up my seat,â Leroy grumbles morosely. âUngrateful little shit.â
But he doesnât hit the brakes, and Lampwick doesnât try climbing out of a moving vehicle despite his clear lack of survival instinct, so they continue on in morose silence for a long while, until the dwarf hears a sudden, suffocated mumble coming from his right. âShit- Leroy?â
What now? âYeah?â
âThink âm gonna be sick.â
He stops the truck with an abrupt screeching of tires, which is barely enough as is, because he has just about the time to get his foot off the brake before the boy has pushed the door open and is doubling over halfway out, puking most of his ill-timed party onto the side of the road. Itâs a good thing itâs night, and not a particularly fair-weathered one at that - Emma likes that young knucklehead, alright, but even she would probably make him clean up the mess heâs just made in a public place if she was alerted, and Leroy too, for the misfortune of being around when it happened.
For his part, Leroy takes the time to curse whatever choice in life thatâs made him less grumpy towards this one kid in particular, then climbs out of his seat and makes his way around the truck, waiting for Lampwick to take a breather between retches before he tries speaking again. âNo use telling you to quit treating yourself like that, is it?â
The boy inhales slowly and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, his face so pale that his freckles look like little wounds under the streetlights. âYou know that wonât do nothing, old man.â
âI figured as much. Can you at least promise me youâll call me the next time the room starts spinning- I canât rely on Doc forever, he barely knows how to use a phone.â
âWhy? Donât you got anything better to do with your life?â
âYeah, I do.â Leroy rolls his eyes, praying for patience, but still when Lampwick keels over again his hand is there, pushing the kidâs hair out of his sweaty face.
âBut so do you. You fix this shit first, and then Iâll stop answering the phone, deal?â

sons of love and death, 7/13 {CSSNS 23}
Summary: After the Final Battle, Killian Jones had finally settled into his happily ever after with his wife and family. Until a new foe arrived in Storybrooke: the infamous Dorian Gray, who looks rather familiarâone might say identicalâto the pirate, and heâs on a mission: to claim the powers of the Dark One for himself. Thereâs only one problem: the Dark One no longer exists. What follows is a journey of vengeance, revelations, magic, and finally facing down the darkness within himself that Killian thought heâd finally put to rest. [roughly canon divergent from 5B, though set post-canon] A/N: Greetings from band camp! But that won't stop me from updating my @cssns story! Hope everyone is having a great week! (As always, thanks to the best beta, @optomisticgirlââââ !) rated M | 5.1k words | AO3 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6
Dorian hadnât been seen since his encounter with Regina the previous morning, but Killian knew better than to let his guard down. Every time the bell rang in the library, Killian was alert, ready for the worst (even if logically he knew his twin wouldnât announce his presenceâthough, they did share an affinity for melodramaâŚ). And heâd put on his sword belt for the first time in ages, for both comfort and protection.Â
He was reshelving a few books when the bell chimed again. He paused to listen, but was mildly surprised when Leroyâs voice rang out in the otherwise quiet libraryâand sounded more than grumpy. âWhat the hell, pirate?âÂ
Confused, Killian shoved the book in his hand on the shelf and quickly made his way to the lobby. âWatch the volume, mate,â he chastised. âWhatâs the problem?â
Leroy was glaring at him and huffing. âDonât pretend you donât know; I saw you! Taking a joyride on my boat this morning, using all my gas, and then you just left it adrift. It almost ran into the shipping lane!â
âWhy would I take your dinghy when my ship is right there?â Killian countered. âIt was probably my good-for-nothing brother.â
âThen why was he dressed like you? And I saw your hook!âÂ
He rolled his eyes; of course Dorian would find a new way to make trouble for him. âWell it wasnât me! Iâve been here all day, and my wife can provide my alibi prior to thatâin detail, if youâd like,â Killian threw back, biting back a smirk at the memory of what theyâd gotten up to in bed that morning.Â
âNo thank you,â he responded, stepping back with his hands up. âJustâkeep that asshole in check, okay?â
âHeâs not my responsibility.â
âWhatever,â Leroy grumbled, and left as quickly as heâd arrived.
Killian was irked by the encounter. Not so much at Dorianâs antics, annoying though they were (and would probably need his attention at some point)âbut he was somewhat perturbed by the fact that Leroy was so quick to assume it had been him. There was definitely a time he may have done that, but now? After everything in the past few years? Did the dwarf truly still think so little of him?
He shook his head; Leroy didnât have much faith in anyone. It was just a stupid misunderstanding; perhaps heâd go down to the docks and see if he could use his powers, meager as they were, to tow the boat back into harbor. But it was nothing to be truly upset over, not on his end.
The day went on without further event and the encounter was nearly out of his mind when he ran into another dwarf outside the sheriff station. Sneezy was coming from the opposite direction and reached the door before he did, but then paused and faced him.Â
âUh, Captain,â he started, then characteristically sneezed. He went on after wiping his nose on his ever-present handkerchief. âI was about to report what happened earlier, but Iâd be happy to settle now, if you wantâif youâd rather Emma not know.â
âKnow what?â
âAbout the rum you stole,â he said matter-of-factly. âYou didnât exactly hide it.â
Killian scoffed; heâd never been impressed by the rum selection at the pharmacy, nor was he desperate enough to shoplift subpar liquor. âIâve been at the library all day, mate; you should hit up my lookalike for the cash. Or go ahead and report it; may as well add to his rap sheet.â
The dwarf tilted his head, confused. âButâyour hookâand clothesââ
ââAre easy to replicate with magic like his,â Killian sighed. âReally, mate? I thought you knew me better.â
Sneezy at least looked a bit like his brother Bashful at that, then uttered a quick apology before nearly running back in the direction from which heâd come.
Killian pinched the bridge of his nose, again frustrated.
It didnât stop there, thoughâon the entire walk from the station to Grannyâs with Emma, he was on the receiving end of glares, muttering, and people keeping their distance. Granted, that was typical treatment from the gaggle of fairies they passed, given their history.Â
But even mild-mannered Gepetto, upon his exit from the diner, turned suddenly angry at the sight of Killian and wasted no time getting in his face and yelling in his native tongue. Killian was skilled at languages but not well-studied in that one, save for a few curse wordsâall of which he heard in the tirade.Â
The carpenter didnât give Killian a chance to reply before storming off, leaving him fatigued and Emma confused. âWhat the hell was his problem?â she griped.Â
âNo clueâbut Iâm willing to bet it was my brother; thatâs been happening all afternoon.â
âUgh, that dick,â she cursed. âBut canât people tell the difference by now?â
âYouâd think,â he sighed, knowing that didnât mean a damn thing if a glamour spell was involved.Â
âSounds like he needs to be punched in his pretty nose to make sure itâs more obvious,â she suggested, stepping into Killianâs space and tapping his own nose.
âYou think my nose is pretty?â he flirted back.Â
âAll of you is. Way more than him,â she assured him, then dragged him into the restaurant.Â
He obviously knew he was innocent of the various misdemeanors heâd been accused of, and he was certainly no stranger to being a suspect. But that hurt feeling from earlier crept back up in him as he fielded side-eyed stares from his seat across from an oblivious Emma while they ate.Â
Hadnât he earned this townâs trust? Werenât they well past any questioning of his actions? Yes, his history was rockyâbut heâd literally died for the residents of Storybrooke.Â
And it was no secret he had a doppelgänger running around. So the fact they were so quick to turn on him was far more painful than heâd like to admit.
âBabe? Your glassâare you okay?â Emmaâs concerned voice pulled him from his morose thoughts, and he realized a whirlpool was threatening to spin out of his glass of water.Â
âSorry,â he answered quickly, and focused on calming the tiny maelstrom. âJustâthinking about everything,â he said, simplifying the truth.Â
âI know.â She reached over and squeezed his hand. âGood thing youâve got another magic lesson in the morning, huh?â
He groaned in response; she giggled.Â
âCome on; letâs get you home. Youâll need your rest,â she said suggestively as she got to her feet, taking him with her, hinting that they would spend time not resting as well.Â
The lascivious smirk Granny gave him as Emma paid their tab was less out of place than his other interactions today, but was at least positive. So he did still have some friends, it seemed.Â
And as he and Emma finally collapsed in each otherâs arms later, sweaty and sated, as long as she was still on his side, who else did he require?
â
ăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
ăťăťăťăťăťăťđĄăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
ăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
Though Dorian was no stranger to using a glamour spell, and had certainly used far more dramatic disguises in his life, this one was perhaps the most initially uncomfortableâmainly in how little changed.Â
As it was, he and Killian were nearly mirror images to start withâwhat with their scars on opposing cheeks and the fact that they parted their hair on different sides. So to see such minor differences in his reflection was a somewhat out-of-body experienceâthis was close to what people actually saw when they looked at him.Â
He allowed his minor existential crisis to persist for a minute before finishing the transformation; at least his brother had decent style, if a bit different than his own. (How could he stand these tight jeans?) The false hook over his left hand was awkward, but necessary.Â
Anyways. It was time to see if he could pull this off; after all, he was far too wise not to do foolish things now and then. He headed down to the diner (after peeking around a corner to make sure neither Killian nor Emma were already thereâthough the fact that heâd slept in probably prevented that) and slipped onto a stool at the counter.Â
This time, when Granny greeted him, it was much warmer. âEarly lunch?â
âAye; the usual, my dear,â he tested. âAnd I just couldnât wait to see you,â he added with a wink.Â
Granny blushed and chuckled, then shuffled off to the kitchen. Good; she was receptive to his flirting. If he was bold enough about it, surely that would stir up some ill will towards his brother; just what kind of man brashly flirted with a woman who wasnât his wife? And there was a reasonable audience, even if mid-morning was somewhat slow.Â
So hopefully someone noticed when he grabbed the bottle of whiskey sitting behind the counter and snuck it into his lap.Â
A few minutes later, the older lady was back, sliding over a plate of fish and chips; predictable of his brother. âFresh caught, extra vinegar on the chipsâjust how you like it.â
âOh, you spoil me,â he replied, holding back a gag at the smell of the vinegar. He leaned across the counter, continuing, âIf thereâs anything I can do to repay you, you know where to find me,â then suggestively licking his lips.Â
To his shock, she just laughed and patted his cheek. âYou know you couldnât handle me, sweetheart.â And went back to her business.Â
Hm. Well, that wasnât quite the response he expected. But he at least passed for Killian; that was a good sign. (Unfortunately, he had to sell it by actually eating this meal; thank the gods for the whiskey to wash it down.)
He headed down to the marina next, finding the easiest boat he could hotwire (which, with his magic, was all of them) and took a bit of a joyride, then poofed ashore when that got boring.Â
After a trip through the pharmacy, where he got a five-finger discount on some mid-range rum, he relieved himself in the shrubs outside a convent, knocked over the displays outside the florist, pretended to need the services of the carpenter but just dumped wood stain over his wares, and dragged the tip of his hook along some parked cars.Â
Briefly, he took a smoking break outside the elementary school and let the half-burnt cigarette fall into a bush outside a classroom, setting it alight. He was enjoying watching the slowly growing fire when the roomâs window flew open and a petite woman with short, dark hair attacked it with a fire extinguisher. âDonât you have anything better to do?â she snapped at him.
âNo,â he answered succinctly, and transported away, hopefully leaving a scorch mark on the lawn, too.
Heâd noticed a friendship between his brother and the librarianâthe gorgeous woman who had seemingly questionable taste in men. Heâd be shocked if the two of them had kept things purely platonic, despite their respective well-known relationships. And if they hadnâtâŚwell, it was time for him to explore that, even if for his own enjoyment.Â
The bell on the library rang as he entered. âYou here, love?â he called out, suddenly realizing heâd never caught the lassâs name.Â
âRight where you left me,â she shouted; shit, he forgot his brother worked here. That was a close call. He followed the sound of her voice to the next room, where he found her desperately trying to reach something on the top shelf. âPerfect timing; can you lend me a hand? Pun intended.â
âHa,â he answered awkwardly, not sure if he should be acting offended or not. âBut of course.â
He didnât hesitate to grab the volumes she asked for, but rather than just hand them over, he took the opportunity to move into her space. âOh, uh, thanks,â she said, trying to take a step back, but she didnât get far before bumping into a cart.Â
âThatâs all my assistance is worth? âThanksâ?â
âKillian, you know I appreciate youââ
âSo let me appreciate you, darling,â he said on a breath, leaning in close. âDonât tell me youâve never felt somethingâŚmoreâŚbetween us.â Subtly, he raised the blinds in the room so any passers by might see his attempted pursuit of someone who clearly wasnât his brotherâs wife.Â
She looked up at him, lips parted, and he was aware of her heightened heart rate. She narrowed her gaze briefly. âNo, I havenâtâDorian.â
âWhoâs Dorian?â he lied.Â
Her knee found his crotch swiftly and strongly; she might be short and slight, but she was the perfect height to do optimum damage to his manhood. He stumbled back, dropping the books and holding his groin, groaning, with stars beginning to cloud his vision.Â
âI canât believe I almost fell for that,â she yelled. âYou really thought I wouldnât be able to tell?â
âAh, but you almost did,â he countered, even though his voice was incredibly strained.Â
He could see her blushing even through his squinted view. âNever,â she insisted, though it sounded like she was trying to convince herself as much as him. âI wonât do that, and I wonât help you.â
He scoffed as his breath started to come back. âWhat use are you to me? Just a silly librarian; even if you are married to the Dark One.â
She smirked. âIâm used to people underestimating me. I suggest you donât again. Wouldnât want anything to happen to that painting of yours, would you?â
âMy painting?â He wasnât surprised she knew of itâthis was a library, obviously, if even the book heâd inspired was largely fabricationâbut heâd left it behind in another realm, hoping the distance (and that particular realmâs timelessness) would prevent its aging, or at least slow it.Â
But thenâhe felt it. A faint heartbeat in his ear, just a millisecond behind his own but the same tempo: the heart of his True Love, continuing to carry a rhythm for him even though it was shattered and locked in canvas. It seemed to be coming from above them; he glanced up, trying to locate it, but didnât get very far before his gaze was forced away rather painfully.
Belle had slapped himagain, stronger than he expected, but heâd been hit so many times that it hardly stung. âGet the hell out of here, and leave us alone.â
âAlright, alright,â he replied, and immediately poofed awayâright into the attic of the library. The drumbeat of the heart was even louder up here, and he was easily able to follow itâwhile stepping lightly enough to not make a soundâto one end of the cluttered storage room.Â
And there it was: his iconic portrait. ItâŚwasnât pretty. Not that it had been when heâd stashed it in the Land of Untold Stories, but it had definitely continued to deteriorate, though thankfully less than it probably should have. There was part of his soul that certainly felt like the withered, grayed, gnarled mess of a man in the image before him, but only a small one.
Actually, it was a good thing the portrait had made its way here; perhaps, when he achieved his plan, heâd also be able to sever his tie to this in favor of the dagger. Heâd leave it here for nowâbut heâd be back for it later.
He had at least one more stop to make. So he transported again to an alley by the sheriff station, knocked over a mailbox, and casually headed inside. While it would be fun to see how far he could take things with Emma, he had no doubt sheâd be able to see through this disguise even quicker than the librarian had. But the other deputy, the blond oneâhe might be slower on the uptake.
âHey, Hook,â the man said, barely glancing up from the paperwork he was filling out. âEmmaâs doing rounds.â
âAye; Iâm aware,â he said, sauntering closer. âI was here to see you, anyway.â
âYeah?â The manâDavid, judging by the name plate on the deskâlooked up at him. âWhatâs up?â
Dorian wasted no time in taking a seat right in front of him on the desk, cupping his (rather handsome) face, and quickly finding his lips.
The ensuing chain of reactions was honestly hilarious: the other man stilled at first, then leaned into it, but then seemed to realize who he was kissing and pushed away, jumping to his feet.
âWhat the hell was that?â he spat, wiping off his mouth on the back of his hand.
Dorian hopped off the desk and moved closer to David. âI was always curious; you mean you werenât?â
âNo!â he shouted. âNot likeâjust, no!â
âWas I that bad?â Dorian flirted, tilting his head.Â
âNo, you wereânot my son-in-law,â David sighed, realizing who he was talking to.
âUgh, youâre no fun,â Dorian replied. âAnd youâre only a halfway decent kisser.â
âMy wife thinks Iâm just fine,â David threw back, somewhat offended. âAnd if youâre trying to turn people against Killian, youâre gonna have to try harder than that.â
âYou almost bought it.â
âPlease; Killian only has eyes for Emma. Not that youâd know anything about True Love, I bet.â
Dorian glowered. âYou donât know anything about me, pal. Maybe get off your high horse with your generalizations.â
David stepped closer and put his hands on his hips; Dorian couldnât help but feel like he was about to get a lecture. âI donât know everything about you, but Iâve known enough people like you. I actually had a twin, too.â
âOh? More than one of you? Must have been terribly dull.â
âActually, youâd probably have gotten along with him famously; he was a selfish cad, too.â
âAnd whereâs this fellow now?â
âOh, heâs dead,â David went on. âFrom what I heard, he got a little too cocky, a little sloppy, and it came back to bite him. Or, well, stab him through the chest.â
âOuch,â Dorian deadpanned. âAnd your point is?â
âMaybe you should ease up on making enemies. Because you donât know which one is going to finally take you out.â
âAnd whatâmake friends instead?â
David shrugged. âCanât hurt. Though I also canât say you have good odds of finding many here, after all the drama youâve stirred up so far.â
âNo thanks.â
âHey,â David said, softer, and placed a hand on his shoulder. âI know youâve spent a long time chasing one thing, and it seems like you have nothing else to live for. But I watched your brother change his path; itâs not too late for you.â
Dorian gingerly pushed Davidâs hand off, like it was something disgusting. âLook, I know you hero types, and I know you mean well and want whatâs best for me, or whatever. But I also know this: you have to want to change. Clearly my brother did. Me, though? I find good advice rather annoying. So save your breath.â
âSuit yourself.â
âI will, thanks.â And he transported back to his pilfered room at Grannyâs.
His conversation with David was already forgotten; the deputy had probably hoped his words would linger and Dorian would reconsider his entire life. But noâhe knew what he wanted.
And now, he just had to wait to see what fallout his (mis)adventures today wrought.
â
ăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
ăťăťăťăťăťăťđĄăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
ăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
Late 1880s
Dorian stepped out of the portal onto a dirty cobblestone alley. Once the gateway closed behind him, he placed his second bean in his inner coat pocket for safekeeping, and sealed it with magicâwhich thankfully worked; he wasnât sure what to expect as far as being able to normally access his powers in this so-called Land without Magic, but was glad to see they were so far unhindered.
Of course, the irony of this realm carrying that name was that he had come here seeking magic out. It wasnât fully devoid, he could tell, but heâd heard that it was far-flung, infrequent, and hidden from the general populace.
Which was probably why it was so dark in this backstreet; what kind of uncivilized society hadnât figured out proper outdoor lighting yet? He could see some primitive lanterns at the end of the way, on what looked to be a main street, but could smell the fuel in them from here.
As such, he conjured a fireball in his hand to get his bearings. Heâd arrived in the corner of an alley that went between and behind buildingsâgreat, grimy brick monstrosities. Some parchment sat atop abandoned crates along one side; he inspected closer, reading The Daily Telegraph across the top of the page, followed by a picture of a man identified as the Prince of Wales, which he had to assume was a meaningful title as no proper name was given.
He further studied the fashion of the man, then glanced down at his own clothes, which were decidedly not of this realm from what he could see. That was easy to fix, though, and with a wave of his hand, he was wearing a garment that closely resembled what he saw in the image: a coat with long-ish tails, slacks, and a waistcoat. He didnât hate it, but the vest wasnât quite his style.Â
Anyways. That settled, he reached into a different pocket (heâd made sure the contents of those stayed the same regardless of what his jacket looked like) and pulled out a slip of paper with a name written on it: Basil Hallward. From what heâd been told, this man could help him find the magic he needed to get him one step closer to the Dark Oneâs powers.
(That Rumpelstiltskin bastard had placed so many protection spells over the Dark Castle, it was bordering on ridiculous. Didnât he know it was once Dorianâs home? But noâthe demon wouldnât even grace him with a meeting to grant him access to his old quarters. Granted, heâd have been an idiot to, but one could hope. But perhaps here, in this land that seemed to reject magic, heâd find that which could break through those spells and reclaim his birthright.)
He glanced down both alleys in front of him. The one towards the street was emptyâjust brick walls and boarded-up windowsâbut going the other way, he could see a light glimmering outside an inconspicuous door.Â
And if he wasnât mistaken, the light in the lantern was not fueled by whatever oil illuminated the streets; no, this one was quite similar to the ball of fire in his hand. The portal had placed him in the right spot.
Before he headed to the door, he placed the slip of paper in his own flare, letting it fall to ashes on the stone pavement. Then he extinguished it with a shake of his hand and headed over.
Upon closer inspection, the lamp was indeed his variety of fire magic, though there seemed to be an object at the center of it that kept it burning. Clever, he thought; it meant less mental effort to keep it lit (not that he had to exert much anymore for such simple spells).Â
The door itself was painted roughly to match the exterior wallâor it had been, once upon a time, and now was faded and flaking, but he could still make out where âB. Hallwardâ was written in yellowing letters.
He knocked, firmly and insistently, and then waited. He wasnât naive enough to think heâd get an immediate answer, or even to think heâd be seen tonight, but there was also no sense waiting.
He listened close to the door for a minute or so, but if there was anything to hear, it was unnoticeable. Then he paced a bit, keenly aware of the sounds of his unfamiliar shoes tapping on the stones.
But after nearly 10 minutes, he had to concede that either Mr. Hallward was out for the evening, or didnât wish to be disturbed. Well, surely a town of this size had a red-light district; it wouldnât be the first time heâd spent a night in such an establishment (usually willingly).Â
He began to walk towards the sounds of society, at the far end of this alley, when he paused; he thought he heard the turn of a deadbolt. He turned back to look at the door; it was still shut, but the color of the flame in the lantern had changed to blue. Curious.
He moved closer to it, and to his surprise, a small window appeared from nowhere. There was no glass inside it, but he could see nothing but blackness behind it. âYes?â a voice called out from the void.
âBasil Hallward?â he asked.
âWho wants to know?â the voice replied.
âSomeone who has traveled a great distance to seek you out.â
The voice cursed, probably realizing heâd revealed his identity without meaning to. âWhat for?â he finally came back with.
âA bit of magic,â he answered, then called forth his own fire again.
The window disappeared and the door swung open. âCome in,â the other man called out; Dorian didnât hesitate to oblige.
Whatever he was expectingâthis wasnât it. Despite whatever spell lay on the entrywayâand he could feel it as he stepped throughâit was actually fairly light inside, with more enchanted lamps around the open space, which revealed the absolute clutter everywhere. And, to the back of the room, what appeared to be a painterâs studio.Â
âYouâre an artist?â he exclaimed, minorly disgusted.Â
âThat I am, sir,â the other man replied, and Dorian finally got a look at him: he seemed youngâyounger than him, at leastâand the narrow mustache above his lip did nothing to make him appear older. He pushed his dark, curly hair out of his equally dark eyes. âWhat of it?â
âI came here looking for magic,â Dorian spat. âNot to sit for my portrait.â
âA pity; youâd make an excellent subject, with that profile. But I do both, actually.â
âBoth?â He raised an eyebrow, skeptic.
âAye; let me show you.â Basil beckoned Dorian towards his work bench; he hesitantly followed. The man picked up a vial of what Dorian assumed was pigment off the cluttered surface. He uncorked it and held it out. âDo you recognize it?â
Dorian narrowed his gaze and peered inside. It was just a black powder, but he recognized the smell. âAdderâs fork?â
âGood eye,â Basil commended. âAnd this?â he asked, holding out a small dish with a bluish powder.Â
âMermaid scale,â Dorian identified. âI donât understand.â
âMagic works differently in this realm,â Basil explained. âNo one here is born with it inherently, but what makes its way here usually requires a conduitâsome physical tether. Me, I learned how to embed it in my paint, using these ingredients.â
âAnd then what?â
âWhatever you want,â Basil answered. âWithin reason, of course.â He showed off a portrait of an expectant mother, explaining that the woman and her husband had been trying to have children for several years when he painted her; âNow, she has three children and another on the way.â Another painting displayed a vagabond sitting on a street curb. âHis wife discovered he was cheating on her; now heâs destitute and she kept his wealth.â
âSo you grant wishes?â
âIn a sense. A fertility spell was embedded in this portrait, a curse of ill-luck in the other.â
Dorian glanced back at the work space and saw a good number of potion booksâmany of them he knewâacross a bookshelf above it. âAhhh,â he sighed in understanding. âThen you likely donât have what Iâm after.â
âWhich is?â
âA way to break into a heavily fortified castle?â
Basil shook his head. âAfraid not. But if you have something of its occupantâs, we could probably find a way to cast them out, or at least make them horridly uncomfortable.â
âIf it were that easy, I wouldnât be here.â
âNo, I suppose you wouldnât. Hope you didnât come far, then.â
âOnly a few realms away.â
Basil whistled low. âThen I at least owe you a drink. Whatâs your poison?â
âWhiskey?â
He nodded and led him over to a sitting area, where they proceeded to chat over (some damn fine) liquor. Basil was curious about the magical realmsâhe had some acquaintances who passed through the other worlds who supplied him with his materials, but had never been himself. Dorian wondered how heâd fallen into this line of work, then.Â
âThe man I apprenticed with taught me; passed on all he knew.â Well, that sounded familiar.Â
As such, they got on famously, to the point that Basil offered Dorian use of a spare bedroom in his home for as long as he was staying in this realm.Â
What the hell, Dorian thought. The Dark One wasnât going anywhereâhe could enjoy himself for a bit. (It wasnât like he ever needed an excuse to do so.)
For the next few weeks, Basil showed him about this curious townâLondon, it was called, and far larger than he realizedâand introduced him to many interesting people (and vices; opium was a delight, though he saw enough of the strung-out folks addicted to it to use in moderation).
They went to countless parties, gatherings, concerts, sporting events. At one such dinner, he met a writer named Oscar who seemed to be infatuated with him; he couldnât say he disliked the attention. The man became a regular fixture in their outings as well (and maybe a few private nights).Â
Dorian did oblige Basil to pose for a portrait eventually; far be it for him to deny the world his beauty. âAnd what enchantment will you weave into this one?â he asked, peering over his friendâs shoulder; Basil had finished painting his face and form, but nothing else yet.Â
âNone,â Basil replied simply. âYou have enough magic on your own.Â
(There may also have been a few nights he spent in Basilâs room, as well. He was hardly a choosy lover, so long as someone caught his interest.)
He smirked cockily at the praise and admired his face and form on the canvas. Basil was truly a gifted artist and, in his personal opinion, had perfectly captured Dorianâs handsomeness, strength, and form, down to the color of his eyes.Â
However, later that night as he readied for bed, he caught a glimpse of something new in his reflection in the looking glass: was thatâŚa wrinkle?
He pulled at the flesh around his eyes, watching as it stretched and returned. Indeed, there was a fine lineâa few, evenâin that delicate skin.Â
He was 30 years old; he knew it was inevitable he began to look it (even if he dare say he looked better than most men his age). But it was a sudden, stark reminder: the being he was chasing was immortal; he, however, was not.Â
(There was probably some sage advice somewhere about avoiding vice to extend his longevity, butâŚwhere was the fun in that?)

Ooooh I love your edits but would love to see your writing. I would love a comedic fic where Hook shares with Emma his hangover cure after sheâs had a little bit too much of his rum to handle a hard day at work (something w random tracking needed like Grannyâs items going missing like her cast iron skillet and favorite apron, super important that Emma is on the job since nearly everyone goes to Grannyâs and Leroy/Grumpy isnât happy). As a suggestion, I recommend that the hangover cure definitely include honey or molasses and lemon. However, what you want to pair it with or use to ingest is up to you.
Thank you for your prompt! I tried my best and now we have this! I'm not sure if I've done well with comedy, but I hope it's funny at least)

 Black FridayâChapter 2
âUm excuse me,â Emma said with a frown, âthis book is mine.â
The person standing before her didnât relinquish the book in question, and Emma glanced up at himâŚand then promptly wished she hadnât. This guy was hot. Like middle-of-summer in Phoenix hot. Like compared-to-him-the-sun-was-kind-of-warm hot. No one had a right to look that damn good this early in the morning. She should just arrest him and haul him off to jail for that alone.
Very much against her will, her heart swooped and her breath caught at his very proximity. She saw the exact moment he noticed her reaction. A sly, maddening, delighted (sexy) grin came over his face. Emma frowned thunderously up at him, as angry with herself at her reaction as she was at him for hisâŚwell, his very existence.
âMuch as I hate to contradict a lady,â he drawled (Oh gods, even his voice and accent were hot. She was in serious, serious trouble), âI believe this book, in fact belongs to me. I was here first.â
Her frown deepened. âI donât think so. Give me my item before I punch you in the face.â
He chuckled, leaning forward and crowding her space. (Her stupid, traiterous heart picked up yet again.)Â âOh Darling, I can think of some far, far more pleasant ways we can spar than a bout of fisticuffs.â
Was it suddenly hot in here? Â
âLook, I donât have time for this,â she said with a sigh, her voice beginning to raise. âJust stop being a jackass and give me the book.â
Suddenly a small man with a brown beard, a grumpy look on his face, and a hat that read âsecurityâ stepped forward. âThere a problem here folks?â
âNone I canât handle,â Emma gritted out. âSoon as this guy admits I got here first and gives me my merchandise Iâll get out of your hair.â
âOn the contrary,â the man said. âI was the first one to claim this particular prize.â
The security guard, who wore the name tag âLeroyâ, glanced back and forth between the two of them for a moment, and then shrugged. âLook, I wonât have any fighting in this store. Work it out among yourselves, or Iâm kicking you both out. Then neither one of you gets the stupid book.â
For a moment Emma merely glared at the man, and he looked back at her, a look of steely determination on his face. Finally he sighed.
âLook, love, the security guardâs right,â he said. âWhile quite enjoyable, our standoff will get us nowhere.â
Was the (hot as hell) guy going to actually be reasonable and give in?
âSo hereâs what I propose,â he said. âWe purchase the book and then adjourn elsewhere to discuss the particulars of whose prize it will be. Perhaps youâll allow me to buy you a cup of coffee at Grannyâs?â
She crossed her arms across her chest. âAre you seriously asking me out right now?â
He chuckled, and the sound did things to her, things that brought the color to her cheeks and stole her breath clean from her lungs. He leaned even closer, so close she could feel his minty-fresh breath against her cheek. âSadly no. I was merely proposing a parlay of sorts, a chance for us to settle our differences like adults. However, if youâre hoping for a romantic evening out on another occasion, I could certainly accommodate you.â
âIn your dreams!â
He wiggled his eyebrows. Actually wiggled them! âPerhaps.â
Emma growled. âAre you kidding me right now? Itâs too early for this!â
He seemed to sense heâd pushed her as far as was prudent, and he sighed. âI vow to be the perfect gentleman. IIf we at least secure the item, we can then decide later who is the victor.â
She gave him a quick look and could see the sincerity in his eyes. She was good at spotting when someone was lying, after all. Finally she sighed. âFine. But we both buy itâsplit the cost fifty-fifty. That way neither one of us can claim ownership of the book before we get everything ironed out.â
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
âHere you are folks,â the perky brunette waitress said half an hour later. âOne black coffee and one hot cocoa with cinnamon.
Killian heard the waitress lean whisper âEmma, heâs hotâ to the woman on the other side of the booth.
She growled and whispered âRuby, shut it!â back.
He chuckled. This was turning into one of the most delightful mornings heâd had in ages. When the waitress had flitted over to another set of customers, Killian leaned back and grinned at his companion. âSheâs right, you know,â he said. âI have been called devilishly handsome.â
âIâll give you the devilish part,â she said with a wry quirk of her brow. âLookâŚwhat did you say your name was?â
âDid I fail to introduce myself? How very rude of me. Killian Jones, at your service,â he said with a bow. Her cheeks colored alluringly at his formality, and Killian was delighted at her reaction to him.
She was utterly captivating, and the truth was, he hadnât been so quickly, completely and charmingly smitten with anyone since Milah. Though he very much wanted to attain the fairy tale book for his Alice, he couldnât say he regretted the complications this morning had brought.
He didnât know what possessed him to ask this woman to coffee. All he knew as they stood facing off in the bookstore was that he did not want their time together to be at an end anytime soon.
âEmma Swan,â she muttered.
A fit of pure devilishness came over him, and he reached over, took her hand and brought it to her lips. âEnchanted.â he whispered.
Her quick, indrawn breath made his grin widen, and she quickly pulled her hand back and busied herself with taking a sip of her beverage.
âSo, Killian Jones,â she said, her voice not quite steady, âwhat are we going to do about this book? I donât mean to be a jerk about it, but I really need this book. My sonâŚwell, this is the only thing heâs asked for, and itâs been a rough year for him. I justâŚI just want to be able to give him this one thing so maybe I donât feel like such a failure as a parent.â
His heart turned over. He could tell sheâd said more than sheâd intended. Emma Swan didnât strike him as someone who let her walls down quickly or shared her feelings of inadequacy with strangers.
âAs a single parent myself, I can relate to the feelings, love,â he said, âbut Iâve no doubt book or no book, youâre hardly a failure as a parent.â
âYeah, well,â she said, glancing uncomfortably aside. âI feel like it.â
Killian was silent for a long moment, taking a sip of his coffee. If it werenât for Alice, heâd give up his claim on the book in a moment, but it was for Alice. Was there any way they could both get what they wanted?
âI donât wish to be intransigent either,â he said finally, âand my behavior today is not a matter of mere stubbornness. My daughter also has her heart set on this particular book.â
Her eyes softened at his statement, acknowledging their dueling claims as parents wanting the best for their respective children. âYeah, I get it, so that brings me back to my original question. How do we decide who gets the book?â
Suddenly an idea struck him. It was unorthodox to say the least, unorthodox to the point of being downright bizarre, but it did have itâs meritsânamely the fact that, should she agree to it, theyâd be forced to see each other again on a fairly regular basis.
âI do have an idea,â he said slowly, âbut it may sound positively daft.â
She gave him an assessing look, taking another dainty sip of her cocoa. âOkay, Iâm listening.â
âWhat if we share the book?â he blurted out.
âShare it? What do you mean?â
âI mean,â he said, âwhat if we trade off? Your lad gets the book one week, and then my Alice gets it the next, and so on.â
Her brow furrowed. âYou mean likeâŚjoint custodyâŚof a book.â
He shrugged with a grin. âI told you it would sound daft.â
Killian was encouraged by the fact that Emma didnât outright shoot down his (odd) idea. She seemed to consider it, staring into space for several moments, before briefly nodding. âIt is a weird solution, but I think it might be the best way we can both get what we want. Canât believe Iâm saying this, but you have a deal.â
~*~*~*~*~*~
âIt worked!â Henry said excitedly he following Monday morning as he got off the school bus and sprinted over to Alice. âMy mom told me all about it. Your dad and my mom decided to share the storybook!â
âI know!â Alice said, smile wide and delighted. âMy papa explained the situation to me. I could tell he felt bad that he didnât get the book, and I wanted to make him feel better, but then I thought maybe it would be better to act kinda disappointed.â
âGood thinking,â Henry said with a nod as they reached their classroom and headed for their desks. âIf they feel guilty, then theyâll make sure to always make the drop off, and then theyâll have to meet every week. Weâll be brother and sister by Easter!â
âI hope youâre right,â Alice said with a sigh. âI know my papa gets lonely sometimes, and it would be nice if he had someone besides me in his life.â
âExactly,â Henry agreed. âAnd my mom needs to know that not every guyâs like my dad. Not every guyâs gonna leave her.
Henry busied himself setting his backpack on the floor and getting out his books and then he looked back at Alice with a troubled look. "You donât think theyâll be mad at us, do you? You know, for being sneaky and everything.â
Alice shook her head vehemently. âTheyâll be too happy together for that. Sometimes adults are just too busy to see whatâs right in front of them. Thatâs when their kids have to step in and parent trap them.â

INTRODUCING: FRANKIE BLANCHARD
Full Name: Francesca Joan Blanchard (born Lindone)/Winona Blanchard (Cursed Persona)
Birthdate: November 30th (1966 in her cursed persona)
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Species: Human
Family: Beatrice Lindone (Mother, estranged), Thomas Lindone (Father, deceased), Colette Lindone (Older Sister, estranged), Sabina Lindone (Younger Sister), Mary-Margaret Blanchard/Snow White (Adoptive Mother), David Nolan (Adoptive Father), Emma Swan (Adoptive Older Sister), Henry Mills (Adoptive Nephew)
Love Interest: Roslyn Maire
Friends: Henry Mills, Emma Swan, Killian Jones (kinda, on and off), Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket, Granny Lucas, Ruby Lucas/Red Riding Hood, Leroy/Grumpy, Belle French, Marco/Geppetto, Anna of Arendelle
Likes: Reading, horses, pancakes, dramatic movies, mysteries, sunrises, throwing knives, apples, fireworks, jewelry, music
Dislikes: Rumplestiltskin, Regina Mills (again, on and off and it changes over time), her mother, loneliness, cold weather
Phobias: Blood, darkness
Style: In the Enchanted Forrest, she is usually seen in elegant dresses and draped in a cloak, her hair was usually done in elaborate styles, and in Storybrooke, she is dressed more in "edgier" styles such as lots of fishnets, boots, jean shorts, see-through shirts with bralettes, etc.
Speech: American accent, a softer voice in the Enchanted Forest, doesn't talk a lot, much cussing as Winona/post-curse Frankie, and her voice is slightly raspier from her smoking attempts
Physical Quirks/Scars: Scar on her forehead by her hairline, walks with a slight limp on the left side
Personality: Enchanted Forest Frankie is sweet, somewhat demure, a lover of nature and animals, very brave and always lending a helping hand whereas Winona is rougher, a lot more feisty and moody, though she has a soft spot for the ones she loves and finds "not annoying" and finally, post-curse Frankie is a more badass version of her younger Enchanted Forest self - she knows how to defend herself and has combined the best qualities of her former self and Winona
Background: Francesca grew up as a Princess in the Enchanted Forrest. She had always known that there was trouble brewing in her family's Kingdom - she just didn't know what it was exactly. One night, her older sister disappeared and was never seen again by anyone. Years later, Frankie's mother tells the 14-year-old that she is to marry a Prince from a neighboring Kingdom to save theirs from money trouble. Frankie, deeply in love with a Princess from another Kingdom, refuses to do so, leading her mother to put the burden on her younger sister. The next night Beatrice stops her in the hallway, and the mother and daughter duo get into a heated argument, resulting in Beatrice grabbing a candlestick and hitting her daughter over the head with it, claiming to the King and Prince that she had tragically fallen down the stairs. Frankie's father Thomas, heartbroken over his daughter's alleged accidental death, finds her clinging to life in the abandoned tower. He brings her to Rumplestiltskin, begging for him to save her. He demands Thomas' soul in turn - and he agrees. When Frankie comes to, her clothes drenched in blood and a small scar adorning her forehead, she is all alone on a dark and muddy road. A horse carriage happens to pass by, with none other than Snow White and Prince David inside it. The two take her in, and she lives in the castle as Snow White's "cousin", never seeing her family again. Three years later, the curse hits, and twenty-eight years later, Frankie is still seventeen and living in Storybrooke as Winona Blanchard. Winnie loves to go to the stables in her free time and babysits Henry Mills every Tuesday and Friday. When Henry's birth mother, Emma Swan, comes into town, she brings lots of change with her, causing Winnie's worldview to unravel as Frankie fights her way back into her mind.

one of scott's therapy sessions, which is during his thirties after his dad dies. (ocposting again)
tw: suicide, homophobia, attempted murder(kind of), fighting, mention of being in the hospital(but he doesnt talk about it past saying it), therapy(?), his therapist is nosy and kind of annoying
"Hello, Scott. How are you feeling today?"
"Pretty damn awful. The pinto broke down yesterday, poor thing. First time in all these years, though. Can't complain too much."
"Mm. So Rachael's picking you up today?"
"Yup. Speakin' of which. I got some news."
"Yes?"
"Rachael is, uh... She's not a woman. She's my, well, she's not even really my husband. Can't get married and whatever. His name is Rodney. We got illegally married in the woods at twenty-six. Love of my life since I was seventeen."
"That makes a lot of sense, Scott."
"So, ya just don't care?"
"There was a small part of me that wondered. There aren't many women working in lumber yards. Or carrying their husbands to bed. Or a lot of things."
"Well... who knows? Rachael coulda been some body builder lady."
"That wouldn't've helped your case either."
"You psychologists ain't supposed to be judgin' books."
"Well, I didn't act like I had any impressions now, did I?"
"You rotten lady."
"Hahaha. Can I meet him?"
"Well, yeah. He's pickin' me up in his little truck."
"I'd be glad. Now, do we want to pick up on what we discussed last time?"
"Alright."
"You started talking about a... Leroy Coffman?"
"Yep. We were just the best of friends in grade school. I was a good little catholic boy who said his prayers every night and all that. Then I got with my first girlfriend, who I told you about. That all changed and whatever. We'd poke each other with knives and laugh about it and shit."
"He told me one day that he loved me. He said he hoped I didn't mind. That he thought I was beautiful and all that... I told everybody. Anyone I came across. Meanest, nastiest thing I've ever done. Ruined everything for him. They called him names and all that jazz."
"Still remember our first real fight. He pushed me into the dirt and told me he hated me and hated that he ever loved me. I still feel awful about all that."
"When I was twenty-six -yes, the same year I got- well, didn't get married- he got out of jail. He came to the gas station I worked at and told me the date, time, and place he planned to beat the shit out of me. He was gonna kill me. I know he was. But I also knew that he knew how, precisely, to do it, and he didn't. He let me live."
"The last thing he told me was that he had loved me all this time and still didn't know why. And he hoped I'd remember him. And right before I blacked out from getting smacked with my own bat again, he blew his own brains out."
"And then later after the hospital and everything, I found a note he had left taped to my bat. And it said that he left me alive because he wanted me and Rodney to be happy."
"And I don't know how I feel about that. I never had feelings for him. I ruined his life. I wish things could've been different."
"I would feel the same way. None of that could have been easy."
"Yep... I dunno. Rodney should be here any minute."
"Mhm, well, when do you want to see me next?"
"Well, never again, but Thursday works."
"You don't like me very much do you?"
"I'll be honest, I don't. You're young and ya know more than me."
"At least you're honest, Scott."
"Actually, we've both been pretty good liars so far, Danielle."
"Haha."
(knock! knock! knock!)
"Come on in. Oh! You must be Mr. 'Rachael'."
"Heh... I guess he told ya, then?"
"I sure did, Dandelion."
"I wanted to talk to you, er-"
"-Rodney."
"If Scott wouldn't mind stepping out?"
"Alright."
(creeeeak... creeeaaakk... click.)
(pause)
"So, I wanted an inside look at him. How does he act at home?"
"Well, heâs still grumpy. You kinda make him sound like some troubled kid at school, haha."
"Haha, yeah. I didn't mean it like that. It's just that he's very straightforward. It's almost more concerning than what he actually says. Even after a few years."
"Oh, he's been like that. His dad's the same way. You must be used to the city folk. Out in Nebula, that's all you get."
"Hm."
"Heâs all he is. He's rarely any more than that. Sometimes he cries, sometimes he should cry. I used to think he was somethin' bigger than himself. Sadder than he seemed. Which was true. But everyone is."
"Huh."
"But he's pretty honest these days about who he is. He doesn't try to show off anymore. We're both gettin' old."
"Well, that's... unexpected."
"You're unexpected too. Real nosy. I see why Scott doesn't like ya too well."
"Well, that's my job, practically."
"Yeah, yeah. Well. That's just about it. He's as lovey-dovey as ever. Doesn't bother to hide it, either."
"Alright, well, I'll see him again on Thursday."
"Okay, bye now."
"Bye..."

OUAT Rewatch: Season 4
Episode 4x01 âA Tale of Two Sistersâ
~ While the inclusion of Frozen may have been a questionable direction overall, there is no denying the brilliant casting and in-character writing of Elsa and Anna. Kristoff, though, is underwhelming.
~ Reginaâs light-colored outfit suggests that she is still ultimately good.
~ Regina and Robin having their conversation in the same room where they were so romantic and intimate two episodes ago is so awkward and sad.
~ I like Belleâs yellow dress in this episode much more than the one she wore when first introduced!
~ It seems that Gold gave Belle the dagger before they began their honeymoon, possibly before they even consummated their marriage. His actions in this episode seem to ring true for the image of him being âaddictedâ to magic, trying to quit and maybe succeeding for a while before giving in to temptation when presented an opportunity.
Episode 4x02 âWhite Outâ
~ The episode starts with Anna knocking on someoneâs door!
~ How do David and Kristoff know each other? Neither of them seem like the sort to travel much, and apparently there is an ocean between their lands. Did the rock trolls take Kristoff on a trip to the Enchanted Forest?
~ Henry is the Anna to Reginaâs Elsa in this episode. Oddly enough, Emma seems to understand Reginaâs point of view, because pushing away the people she cares about is her own tendency.
~ Emma and Davidâs conversation in the car is a sweet and realistic moment between them as father and daughter. And David talks about walls as theyâre on their way to a literal wall!
~ Grumpy/Leroyâs assertion that Snow/Mary Margaret is now the ruler sounds kind of like fanservice, like the writers listened to fans who said that should be the case.
~ Where did Anna and David get their swords? He made it clear that swordfighting was not something he practiced; did she bring them with her while traveling?
~ For David to have such a detailed backstory with his father, it seems like it should have been mentioned at some point earlier in the show. It could have tied in with his insecurities about being a good father in the previous seasonâespecially since he turned to secretly drinking in order to deal with his nerves, when drinking was what caused his fatherâs downfall.
~ Out of all the dwarves, why is Happy one of those spouting complaints?
~ Why isnât Leroy using the blackout as an opportunity to sell the nunsâ candles, like in the blackout he caused in season 1?
~ Since Snow wasnât really present in the previous episode and has a minimal role in this one, itâs nice to see her have an outburst and stick up for herself! They really shouldnât be bothering her when she is getting used to caring for an infant for the first time.
~ Emma and Elsaâs level of connection is great, only it seems to escalate very quickly, along with Emmaâs freezing.
~ When did Emma mention Henry to Elsa? Did they talk more between scenes?
~ Despite apparently being aware of her situation, Emma doesnât seem very concerned about the fact that she is in danger of death. I would imagine her having more fear and concern about her family, asking Elsa to tell them that she loves them and that kind of thing.
~ After lamenting that Henry would not hug her earlier, Emma gets a hug from him in the end!
~ David saying that the people in their family âreally donât like to give upâ is even more significant after seeing what he was like before he met Anna!
Episode 4x03 âRocky Roadâ
~ This episodeâs title is pretty apt: multiple pairs of characters are on both physical and metaphorical roads.
~ The name of Ingridâs ice cream parlor, Any Given Sundae, is not only a pun but also refers to how she gives away Marianâs ice cream.
~ Snow and David had a court jester named Rupert?! He couldnât have worked for them very long, since they seem to have been married for less than a year before the Dark Curse was cast.
~ Reginaâs outfit and hairstyle in her first scene are way more casual than anything weâve seen her wear before! And sheâs suddenly in short sleeves though just days earlier it seemed to be winter.
~ I think Operation Mongoose and Operation Cobra together allude to âRikki-Tikki-Taviâ by Rudyard Kipling. In that story, the hero is a mongoose and the villain is a cobra. So both names refer to Regina, first to expose her as a villain, then to prove her a hero.
~ The bird painting is funny, and in line with Mary Margaret/Snowâs interests; but how is Regina so indifferent/accepting of Snow taking over her mayoral office, like she did her kingdom?
~ If they wanted Elsa to keep a low profile, the least they could do was get her some clothes from this world. Why is her only outfit the one from the movie, when this show gives so many outfits to the other characters in each world?
~ The scene of Hans and his brothers is so horribly written; the only good thing about it is that it is short. But it could have been omitted since Kristoff recaps it to Elsa.
~ How can Granny be part of the mob blaming Elsa, after everything Red/Ruby went through? If Ruby were still in Storybrooke at this point (her absence isnât explained until later), she and Elsa could have bonded over their experiences as magical beings whose powers are triggered/amplified by fear.
~ Itâs nice to see Elsa and Kristoff interact so much, since they donât in the movie.
~ Will Scarlet must have been in Storybrooke (or elsewhere in the Land Without Magic) for some time before this curse, if he knew that blackouts were the time for a thief to go to work.
~ What was that scene with Archie about? The decent thing for him to do in that situation would have been to offer to help Mary Margaret get the carriage into the car, and/or tell her about the danger Elsa was in from the townsfolk. It doesnât seem to me like Snow needs to let go of her newborn; what she needs is support from other people, instead of trying to handle everything about mayorhood and motherhood herself! And they gave Archie a âLet It Goâ reference?!
~ Regina and Davidâs words to Emma, and her saying she doesnât feel able to save anyone, seem like telling rather than showing a conflict. Thereâs no real support for it onscreen.
~ Elsa and Hookâs conversation is great!
~ Ingrid does the same thing to Elsa that Cora did to Regina, framing her in order to make people turn on her so sheâll think she can never gain their trust.
~ Regina casually sending Henry to fetch something from her vault shows that theyâve come a long way from the time Henry almost got himself killed while sneaking in there.
~ Why is Emma at Grannyâs at the end of the day? She seemed to be living with her parents again, not staying at the B&B. Did she go there to get dinner by herself, or to talk to someone?
~ Throughout the show, Hook and his acquaintances refer to his knack for survival, yet he has many close brushes with death. This kind of goes along with how the ticking crocodile, a symbol of inevitable death, stalks him in Peter Pan.
~ This episode has some good storylines in it, but there are extra scenes that make it feel scattered or convoluted. It could have been streamlined by deleting some scenes, like the ones about hunting for Elsa and Archie talking to Snow.
Episode 4x04 âThe Apprenticeâ
~ Why is the Sorcererâs Apprentice so old? Is there no way to graduate from that role?
~ If the Apprentice has faced other Dark Ones before, he should know that a sword would not kill them. So either his sword was enchanted, or it was just an act to stall him.
~ This is the second time anyone has asked Henry what he thinks about Emmaâs love interests, and both times, he prioritizes her happiness over his own feelings. This is even more impressive now, since he just recently lost his father. With both Walsh and Hook, he encourages Emma to pursue love and happiness.
~ Did Henry go off somewhere else while Emma asked Hook out?
~ Anna in the flashbacks and Hook in the present both make deals that they shouldnât with Rumplestiltskin.
~ What I want to know is, what did Emma and Hook talk about over dinner? Was he able to calm down enough to carry a normal conversation? What do they talk about when theyâre not solving a mystery or handling a crisis? Evidently they enjoy each otherâs company enough to want more of it, but it would be nice to see them connect when they have time and space to themselves.
~ The scene of Regina and Henry ⌠doesnât really make sense. Itâs like they chose him at random to verbalize what Regina and the audience are thinking, and then she just dismisses it based on his young age.
~ The Storybrooke radio mentions Rip Van Winkle wanting music âto wake up toâ!
~ Did Hook spend the whole night drinking and/or sleeping on the docks? Poor guy!
~ How would someone in the Enchanted Forest know the phrase âfully chargedâ? Did Rumplestiltskin have foreknowledge of this worldâs technology?
~ The fact that Henry doesnât simply ask Gold directly about the Author suggests that he does not actually trust him.
Episode 4x05 âBreaking Glassâ
~ Is Emma the judge and jury for all criminals in Storybrooke? Itâs a bit autocratic for her to be the one person to decide someoneâs sentence, and for it to be so arbitrary.
~ When Hook says he is taking Henry sailing, he obviously doesnât mean the Jolly Roger since he no longer has it. What kind of craft do they sail instead, and to whom does it belong?
~ Iâm glad to see they at least got Elsa a decent cloak ⌠or maybe she made it for herself with her magic, since itâs the same style as her signature dress.
~ âYou screw someone over, thereâs no getting them back.â This sounds contrary to some of Emmaâs experience: she and Hook ended up together despite all the times they betrayed each other.
~ When did Regina and Robin have time for someone to take their picture?!
~ Josh Dallasâ character mentioning Asgard offhandedly is hilarious, since he played Fandral in Thor!
~ This episode almost feels like Frozen II in that most of the characters end up lost in the woods.
~ Lily soliciting that promise from Emma feels pretty contrived, considering theyâve only known each other for about a day. I guess the reasoning behind it was that Lily didnât want Emma to think badly of her if they were caught and her secret was revealed.
~ âIâm going to build a snowmanâ never sounded so ominous!
~ It makes sense for Snow to suspect that David set up an adventure for her, because thatâs exactly what he did in Episode 3x2.
~ Regina says âbefore itâs actually winter,â but it seemed like they were in winter just a few weeks earlier.
~ Itâs great to see Sidney finally stand up to Reginaâs abuse, but it happens at the least convenient time for Emma!
~ How is Elsa able to break her chains of fear so easily?
~ Part of what I dislike about Emmaâs backstory with Lily is that it kind of lessens the importance/impact of her backstory with Neal. It means that Lily was the first person she was on the run with and who let her down, rather than Neal.
~ Force choking? Really?
~ Itâs a bit odd that Reginaâs bad feelings toward Emma are now fixated on Marian, when she had plenty of grievances prior to that.
~ What Elsa says to Emma about never giving up on people sounds like how Hook never gave up on Emma despite her friendzoning him and trying to leave.
~ âI donât want to kill you.â âSee? Thatâs a start.â Thatâs actually a great bit of dialogue, only it might have done better for an enemies-to-lovers storyline like Emma and Hookâs.
~ When did Emma learn about Willâs escape, and how did she react? Iâm guessing David probably told her via text or phone call.
~ Why does Emma have her box of childhood belongings at the sheriffâs station? Is the loft too crowded with Elsa staying there? Where was the box when Emma was on the run with Neal and serving time in Phoenix? Did she bring it with her to New York, or did it disappear and reappear with the curses?
~ âReflective today, are we?â is more true than Hook realizes, considering the mirrors in this episode!
~ (Spoiler:) âIâd love to know more about your beginnings" is funny when you know the name of their song in the musical episode!
Episode 4x06 âFamily Businessâ
~ David said they searched Ingridâs business and home. If Ingrid wanted Emma to find that file, why didnât she simply leave it in her home so they would find it sooner?
~ That lacy version of Belleâs blue and white outfit is so pretty!
~ Belle is doing the same thing to Elsa about Anna that Hook did to Ariel about Eric in Episode 3x17, withholding information about a newcomerâs missing loved one because they are ashamed of what they did to them.
~ Annaâs suspicion of Ingrid is similar to Amethystâs suspicion of Bismuth in Steven Universe: they both question why a long-lost relative was never mentioned by their familyâs leader.
~ Itâs a little odd how various princesses in this show meet and become friends without ever mentioning to each other that they are princesses!
~ It seems that Belle learned about Rumplestiltskinâs existence and power from Anna, but Anna did not reveal his name, so Belle âdid some readingâ and learned more about him before returning to her home.
~ In the scene where Belle pulls out Rumpleâs (fake) dagger, her scarf has a pattern of daggers printed on it!
~ Emma saying that the longest she ever stayed in a foster home was six months contradicts what she said in Episode 3x05 about counting the days in each new home until it seemed pointless.
~ Looks like Emma has had fair artistic abilities since she was a kid. Does that make art something she had in common with Milah and Baelfire/Neal?
~ Did Emma start her file of Henryâs projects in Storybrooke, or during their time in New York? The latter would probably make more sense, but the former would have been a huge sign of growth in her relationship with him.
~ Why does Belle not even tell Gold that she met Anna? He can probably piece it together since Belle mentions the hat, which Anna took from him.
~ Why does Belle need to go to the rock trolls in Arendelle to get her memories back? Why not find someone more local to make her a remembering potion, like the one Zelena made?
~ Watching Belle and Rumpleâs scenes when she is so emotional and trusting of him is downright painful.
~ How could that heraldry record exist if the royal family wiped out all records of Ingridâs existence?
~ Hearing Ingridâs plan laid out at the end really makes her seem like a psychopath. Is she supposed to be mentally ill, like a stalker going after someone theyâre convinced they are in love with?
Episode 4x07 âThe Snow Queenâ
~ The opening flashback is way too saccharine, and the dialogue in the second half is way too fast.
~ Is Reginaâs vault just open for anyone to walk into?
~ What went wrong with Emma and Elsa testing the candle? Did they mean to neutralize Elsaâs powers as a test?
~ Itâs canon that Emma babysits her brother!
~ I love that the local/OG princessesâSnow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderellaâare all in the same mother-baby group! And I love Auroraâs modern outfit!
~ Ashley making a joke out of the âCinderellaâ story is a bit odd since Rumplestiltskin was the one who served the role of fairy godmother. Did she even have a pumpkin carriage?
~ The dialogue and drama in that scene is just so contrived. Up to this point, Emma hasnât expressed anything like jealousy or anger toward her parents for wanting/having another kid. It seems random for it to come out now, without any prior setup.
~ Emma telling Elsa not to let emotions get the better of her, when she is about to do just that âŚ
~ Emma jokingly/casually calling Ingrid âsisterâ really isnât appropriate given the context!
~ I love the scene with Regina and Henry, but why has it taken this many episodes for him to begin his job in Goldâs shop?
~ Emma says her family spans three generations in 400 years. Where does that number come from?
~ David and Hook look at each other as they reach the same conclusion and realize the danger Emma is in. Like in âWhite Out,â they are on the same page when it comes to Emmaâs safety.
~ Robin Hood missing his target? Even if itâs darts instead of archery, thatâs hard to believe!
~ Robin and Willâs conversation is ⌠interesting. It sounds like it could fit multiple characters and relationships in the show, which makes me wonder how much it needed to be them.
~ The story of how Robin and Marian met sounds like it could have been its own flashback episode.
~ Gold shows a lot of trust in Henryâs self-control. Putting that particular kid in a shop full of magical items is like having an ordinary kid watch over a candy shop!
~ Young Ingridâs fear of hurting others doesnât hold as much weight as Elsaâs. Ingrid is only shown losing control when a bad person was threatening her loved ones; it was self-defense. Elsa on the other hand hurt her sister because they were careless while playing.
~ Did Emma even realize that she was trapped inside the sheriffâs station? Did she not hear the others calling out to her? And why was she left to interrogate Ingrid alone, without any other witnesses or magical backup?
~ Ingrid taunting Emma is totally like Satan, playing on peopleâs deepest insecurities, talking them into despair. Her words are probably things Emma has thought herself, only she might not have let herself dwell on them.
~ Emmaâs internal, emotional conflict about struggling to control her magic seems to come out of nowhere. She and the other characters have talked about her need to learn more about it and/or embrace it, but that has usually been about her underutilizing it, not being able to tap into it. There has been little to no setup to establish her not being able to keep it in check.
~ David pushes Hook out of harmâs way! But Snow ⌠how could you say âEmmaâ in such a âhow could youâ tone?
~ Why is young Ingrid dressed in that over-the-top sparkly outfit in this flashback? It visually conveys her ice magic, but at that point she is still trying to suppress her powers.
~ Ingrid barely displayed any of her magic in front of Wesselton. Why does he automatically assume everyone would hate her for her magic? Do they not have any good practitioners of it in Arendelle or the surrounding lands?
~ Helgaâs end is pretty horrifying. Is it supposed to have happened more quickly than Annaâs freezing because Ingridâs powers are greater?
~ How can Gerda suddenly slap such a dehumanizing label as âmonsterâ on Ingrid? She must realize that it was not ill will that caused the accident. Maybe Ingrid giving up the ribbons made her think Ingrid did not care as much about their bond as she once did?
~ Overall, the relationships between sisters in this showâmostly Ingrid, Helga and Gerda, but also Elsa and Anna, and Zelena and Reginaâfeel shallow, like they were written by men who donât really understand the dynamics of sisterhood.
~ Robinâs conclusion, and his decision to throw his morals to the wind and go to Regina, doesnât really make sense.
~ That shot of Ingrid admiring her magic mirrorâor admiring her reflection in it, I canât tellâisnât needed. It would have been a more fitting transition to show Emma alone and guilty, then cut to young Ingrid alone and guilty.
~ What does âweâve looked everywhereâ mean? Even for a small town, that would be difficult to achieve and would require a coordinated search with many people.
~ This whole episode feels somewhat haphazard. Then again, so does this half of this season.
~ The absence of the usual supporting/minor characters is also noticeable. Why doesnât Archie offer his services to help Emma work through her sudden fear of her powers?
Episode 4x08 âSmash the Mirror â Part 1â
~ It makes sense for Henry to be the one to approach Emma, have no fear of her, and even deny the significance of any injury she causes. But him running away without a word doesnât sit right; he would have at least said something like âIâm not giving up on you.â
~ Why couldnât Emma ask Gold for something like the cuff that neutralizes oneâs magic temporarily? That would be a much better way, since she does occasionally (but with increasing frequency) need her powers in order to protect her loved ones and defeat her enemies.
~ Even if she trusts Gold now due to him being Henryâs grandfather, Emma should know better than to think he would help her without asking something in return.
~ Why is Elsa wearing her gloves (apparently given to Ingrid by Rumplestiltskin) in these flashbacks? She didnât have them in the earlier ones.
~ Cool use of the broken mirror in the cinematography, having Anna and Elsa appear in different pieces of the glass.
~ Why is frozen Hans still intact, whereas frozen Helga disintegrated?
~ This is the second time Robin has mentioned Friar Tuck. I want to see this Merry Man! On that note: Sundays would be the least likely day of the week for a Christian to be sober, since Sunday is a day of celebration like Easter; even people who are fasting may break their fast on that day.
~ Did Hook ride in the back of Davidâs pickup truck while they searched for Emma? Thatâs kind of amusing to imagine!
~ David couldnât have taken that picture, because heâs in it!
~ Is âAnton the Giantâ an homage to Andre the Giant? If so, I approve!
~ While Emma is trying to get rid of her powers, Henry bemoans the fact that he has none. He really should have had a larger role in trying to convince her to embrace her magic rather than run from it; that has been his role ever since he came into her life.
~ What kind of queen has to sneak around her own castle? Does Elsa not have as much political/legal power as Ingrid now?
~ Hookâs phone message scene is heartbreaking, in the best way possible! His emotions are so raw, yet his integrity and good heart shine through. And I loved the way his music theme played at the end as he realizes where he has to go!
Episode 4x09 âSmash the Mirror â Part 2â
~ Does Elsa just walk in those high heels everywhere? Even over a distance most others would drive?
~ Snow and Reginaâs conversation is interesting, but it feels wrong for them to be discussing that when they should be urgently searching for Emma.
~ âIf you do good hoping to be redeemed, is it really good?â Thatâs a very good question, probably one of the better points of reflection in this show!
~ Of course Will âgetsâ the Evil Queen type!
~ Gold and Emmaâs scene is fascinating, but also painful to watch. Thereâs so much vulnerability but also so much manipulation. They are much like Pan and Henry in season 3, with the villain trying to convince the hero to give up their power to them. Gold seems to be making a confession to Emma, since he thinks she wonât be around much longer. Emma actually thanks him, something sheâs never done before.
~ The scene of Elsa talking down Emma and explaining the necessity of self-love is so beautiful and powerful.
~ Itâs great to see Elsa being proactive and heroic, rather than just being the cause of a crisis as in Frozen and the first few episodes of this season.
~ âIâll take that risk if you will.â That scene has way more sisterly love than all the mentions of âmy sisterâ between the Arendellian royals.
~ This is the second time Rumple attempts to take Killianâs heart; the first time, Milah stopped him. He also experienced Cora controlling him via his heart.
~ I donât really buy the worldbuilding they tried to make around the storybook, but Robin and Reginaâs scene in the library is quite good, especially as she says she owes Snow a quarter!
~ Emmaâs smile after she makes the fireworks is so sweet: sheâs proud that she was able to use her magic that way! Thatâs a great shot of the five of them looking up at the fireworks. The only odd thing is that Emma does not notice Hookâs absence from that lineup.
~ How could the Sorcererâs Apprentice just conjure a doorway to the Land Without Magic? If it were that easy, why did it take Rumplestiltskin centuries to create a Dark Curse for the same purpose?
Episode 4x10 âFallâ
~ A whole episode is a pretty long time between a curse being enacted and taking effect, especially since they keep looking at the coming cloud.
~ Itâs a small thing, but I like how Emma delegates everyoneâs tasks, and finds one for Hook that is suited to his area of expertise.
~ What was it that caused Arendelle to thaw out in the present day, after being frozen for 30 years?
~ Goldâs words about choosing himself over everyone else sounds exactly like Hookâs attitude up until the end of season 2. That probably makes it even more detestable to Hook, because it reminds him of how he used to be.
~ This episode totally rehashes the stakes and twist of the season 2 finale, where the heroes have to decide whether to risk the town to save one person, and someone does a sleight-of-hand/bait-and-switch passing off an empty pouch while withholding the item that their fates depend on.
~ Shouldnât Tinker Bell be among the fairies? She was in Storybrooke after the second curse, and after that no one could leave due to the flying monkeys. There was only a small window of time between Zelenaâs defeat and the appearance of the ice wall; might she have left Storybrooke then to take her chances in the Land Without Magic?
~ Hiding and crawling on her hands and knees seems unbecoming of the Blue Fairy. Even if her magic is not comparable to that of the hat, I would at least expect her to fight in defense of her fairies. As Mother Superior, the other nuns are her spiritual daughters.
~ Hook feels so guilty and ashamed of doing that to the fairies and having to hide it from Emma!
~ Hook is so genuinely indignant and disgusted with Gold for Belleâs sake, seeing how dishonest he is with his loving wife. I think it may point to their different priorities: Hook is self-sacrificing and would choose love over power any day, whereas Gold either chooses power over love, or tries (and fails) to have both.
~ Gold explicitly goes against his own advice to Regina in Episode 2x17, that âYou canât have everything.â
~ Snowâs âboth of youâ means she was addressing both Emma and Elsa about their magic!
~ When told that he is going to die, Hookâs last voluntary action is to see Emma again!
~ Regina telling Henry âI wish I was as brave as youâ is beautiful!
~ If Regina really wanted to keep herself contained for othersâ safety, her vault would not be the best place, as she would be surrounded by powerful objects there that she could then use to free herself and harm others.
~ That montage at the end, showing the various ensemble characters waiting/watching in different places, is great!
Episode 4x11 âShattered Sightâ
~ They completely gloss over the fact that Ingrid made a life for herself in the Land Without Magic. What was it like for her to finally be like other people, without the powers she had feared for so long? And why did she expect Emmaâs magic to come out in such a land?
~ In a show where the power of love is so often the solution to problems, it seems dissonant for the heroes to seek out strong hatred as a means to counteract such magic.
~ Emma compares her relationship with Hook to the relationship Regina could have had with Robin!
~ Hookâs fall is so fake!
~ Even while under the Shattered Sight spell, Mary Margaret and David still love their baby!
~ Did the sorcererâs scroll allow Ingrid to get past Storybrookeâs magical protection?
~ One of the biggest plot holes: Why did Ingrid wait so long after Emma came to Storybrooke before enacting her plan?
~ Is David still trying to help Mary Margaret when she fights Regina?
~ That letter is waaay too long and too neatly written for Gerda to have drafted it in that scene of the storm at sea.
~ The role Anna plays in this climax is similar to that of Frozen: when the magical sister cannot stop the storm, she comes in and risks her own life to show love.
~ The fact that the spell can only be broken by killing the person who cast it ⌠just doesnât sound or feel right for this show. Ingridâs death is completely unnecessary, and even contradictory, from a thematic standpoint.
~ Ingridâs âconversionâ moment and her decision to reverse the spell are way too rushed.
~ The fact that Snow White and the Evil Queen can laugh at themselves for fighting each other is pretty remarkable, considering their history.
~ The reunion scene is lovely, but why doesnât Emma think of Hook? The last she knew, he was going to chain himself to the docks; shouldnât she think to check on him?
~ Did Belle just sleep through the entire spell?
~ Goldâs parting words to Hook make him realize just how terrible a scourge the Dark One would be on that world.
Episode 4x12 âHeroes and Villainsâ
~ Emma sounds like a Jedi saying âI sense âŚâ
~ Regina is back to wearing vivid primary colors! I love her blue coat and cable-knit sweater.
~ When has Marian had time, since waking up, to see the way Robin and Regina look at one another?
~ Hook speaks as though he believes in reincarnation, while Gold alludes to Hell and/or the Underworld.
~ Is that a Winnie-the-Pooh bear that Henry picks up in Goldâs shop?
~ Why did Henry bring the book to Goldâs shop, other than to remind the audience of Operation Mongoose? Was he finally going to ask Gold directly about how it works? That interaction with Belle really feels like it doesnât have any foundation.
~ An animal leading a heroine off the path, into the woods, feels very fairy tale-esque.
~ Emmaâs surprise at Hook makes sense: while he is resourceful, magic is not his area of expertise, and the idea of Gold helping his old enemy without a price is bizarre.
~ Hook wants so much to warn Emma, or just to hold her one last time, he manages to squeeze her hand despite Gold controlling his words and most of his actions!
~ When Rumplestiltskin looks for Belle in the flashbacks, was that the first time he called her by name? And was that message in the shell the first time she called him âRumpleâ?
~ This probably wasnât intentional, but Rumplestiltskinâs outfit in this episode is similar to Hookâs old style, with a black coat and red vest.
~ Until now, Gold and Regina have hardly seen each other this season! Theyâve had maybe one scene where they were in the same place with a bunch of other people, but this is their first one-on-one. It may have been primarily to find out why Henry was snooping in his shop, but it also seems evidence that on some level he truly cares about Henry and Regina. That hand squeeze at the end is sweet.
~ Goldâs hubris is on full display in his monologue to Regina.
~ How can Robin leave behind his Merry Men? Are they disbanded now? The Sheriff of Nottingham is in Storybrooke, but are there poor people to steal for? Would Emma let them?
~ Regina ripping up the page underscores her despair of her happiness. Yet, she still chooses to do the good/right thing. Her willingness to do whatâs right despite still having a âvillainâs fateâ may make her one of the most heroic characters in this show.
~ Cruella being in the Enchanted Forest and allied with Maleficent and Ursula makes no sense whatsoever. She came from a 20th-century Land Without Magic, not a magical medieval land.
~ âIf anyoneâs going to crush your heart, itâs gonna be me.â Such sad foreshadowing!
~ Emma should be thanking Elsa, not just the other way around! Elsa helped her learn to love herself and embrace what makes her unique.
~ Rumple/Gold did choose Belle over power when he exchanged the gauntlet for her.
~ Gold is left in a pretty pathetic condition, without even a cane to support his now-returned limp.
~ The âchocolateâ in unison is a cute tribute to Frozen, but feels out of place in that conversation.
~ It seems strange for Anna to be wearing gloves as part of her outfit. Theyâre a symbol of Elsaâs repression, and Anna has always been openhearted.
~ They cut from a wedding to Emma restoring Hookâs heart!
~ Considering how much time was spent on Gold having Hookâs heart and planning to kill him, and what a big deal Emma made about the possibility of losing him, their recovery of his heart and their reunion kiss are way too fast. And how can Emma leave him behind so quickly to hang out with Regina and Henry?
~ If Emma truly believes that âeveryone deserves their happy ending,â why did she just toast Goldâs misery?
~ I imagine Henry, inspired by movies like Young Frankenstein, must have tried turning every sconce in the manor in order to find the secret passage!
~ How could the fairy-tale characters be aware of their being in stories in a book, even as their stories were still unfolding?
Episode 4x13 âDarkness on the Edge of Townâ
~ I really donât like how the characters suddenly own up to labels of âvillain.â It would make more sense, and not change the script much, if they instead said âpeople consider us villains.â
~ Throughout the show, it seems as though the writers reinforce the labels of âheroâ and âvillainâ even as they try to transcend them. Itâs confusing and inconsistent.
~ The montage at the start of this episode is a nice way to show what the characters have been up to during the six-week time jump. This, apparently, is when Regina and Snow go back to being mayor and teacher respectively.
~ I wish more of the show took place during periods of peace, just showing the charactersâ lives and mini-adventures when they arenât being threatened by âbig badâ villains.
~ Where is David in the first half of this episode? Heâs the only main character not shown in the opening montage. If heâs not working for the sheriffâs department or taking care of baby Neal, how is he spending his time?
~ While I like both scenes, there isnât much emotional transition from the peace and happiness of the montage to Hookâs intense frustration in the following scene.
~ While some parts could have been better written, I really like that Hook and Belle have a scene together, talking about the guilt they feel in connection to Rumple/Gold. Despite their messy histories, theyâve actually become friends, who understand and encourage each other.
~ What does Belle think Gold could possibly have found, after being stripped away from her and from his power?
~ That scene of Rumple and the trifecta was really unnecessary. No new information was given, nothing developed in the plot or relationships.
~ After all that talk about needing a translation, Regina doesnât even speak any incantation. And why is she trembling so much while clutching the Dark One dagger afterwards?
~ How do none of them notice the dark thing that comes out of the hat/box?
~ This episode suggests that Rumple didnât make the Dark Curse himself, just modified one that already existed.
~ Rumple in flashbacks sounds less like his old, impish self, and more like his Gold counterpart.
~ It makes sense for Hook to be shown harboring insecurities, uncertain of whether he belongs with the âheroes,â even after the fairies are freed. While it is not resolved in this episode, it shows continuity throughout the season (and into the next two).
~ It seems a little insensitive to have the welcome-back party for the fairies in the same place where they were captured.
~ I really like Reginaâs line about âwhatâs killing property values this time.â Theyâre so used to magical mayhem, itâs no longer a complete shock when something happens!
~ It is funny, and fitting, that they all have their roles figured out for when crisis strikes. Mary Margaretâs line about âgetting everyone to safetyâ makes me wonder if they have actual evacuation plans in case of emergencies.
~ Why was Ursula needed for Rumpleâs heist? Just to reach over a distance with her tentacles?
~ Trust is a big theme in this episode, but itâs murky when the villains are the ones throwing the word around. Emma also says âTrust meâ to both Hook and Regina.
~ There should be some kind of system or protocol for when a âvillainâ wants to enter Storybrooke. No one is really held accountable for their past crimes, and there could be people already in town who have history with newcomers. Maybe there could be some sort of probation process?
~ Mary Margaretâs lines at the end of the episode are blatantly out-of-character. I know thatâs the point, but ⌠come on.
Episode 4x14 âUnforgivenâ
~ I canât decide whatâs more OOC for Snow and David: the fact that they did something horrible in the first place, or the fact that they are so focused on hiding it afterwards.
~ I donât like it when drama is pinned on characters hiding some secret, and there is too much of that going on here.
~ Flashback Snow and David already show their willingness to compromise their values, when they donât do anything about Maleficent killing those guards.
~ Hook is so sweet and supportive, bringing Emma the lunch she was craving! Oddly, their music theme plays over the ending of the scene, when theyâre in an awkward stalemate over him not wanting to share about his past with Ursula.
~ Honestly, given Hookâs reputation and his evasiveness on the subject, Iâd expect Emma to suspect him of having a romantic history with Ursula sooner.
~ âIs this really the right thing to do?â Davidâs response doesnât actually answer the question. Keeping the truth from Emma is their goal, and may be in their best interests, but that doesnât mean itâs the right thing to do. And Snow asks another version of the very same question in the next scene.
~ Regina and Marcoâs scenes are great! Itâs a wonder that she hasnât had more interactions like that with the various townspeople. And when she apologizes, showing empathy and humility, she receives kindness and encouragement in return, just like a heroic protagonist would.
~ Does Belle now run both the library and the pawnshop? How does she balance both jobs? And why would she keep the pawnshop running? I can understand having a sort of custodian since itâs full of magical objects, but arenât many of them really the belongings of other people in the town?
~ Itâs great to see Belle immediately assert herself when her former enemies show up! She wants so much not to be a pushover. I just wish she succeeded more often, instead of so easily being hoodwinked by other characters.
~ Iâm not a fan of the whole trope of the heroes playing into the villainsâ hands through an elaborate ruse. In this case, Cruella had no guarantee that David would search her car, find the trinket, and decide to go after Maleficentâs ashes.
~ âI only care about one thing: your pain.â The following episodes disprove this.
~ Emma shows a lot of maturity and growth in her second scene with Hook. Itâs heartbreaking that that newfound optimism and confidence in her loved ones is what prompts her parents to persist in lying to her, in order to preserve that image.
~ Mary Margaretâs voiceover monologue overlapping scenes of various other characters feels like one of Jenny Leeâs voiceovers in Call the Midwife.
~ Where the heck did Belle and Willâs romance come from? The only time they saw each other onscreen before this was when she found him passed out in the library. And how can she be so quick to open herself to a new relationship after her short-lived marriage to Gold?
~ Mary Margaret asking Regina to keep a secret from Emma could have been a real test of friendship and integrity, but it doesnât really amount to anything over the later episodes.
Episode 4x15 âEnter the Dragonâ
~ The timeline of this episode does not fit with what Aurora described in Episode 2x01.
~ Does Storybrooke have its own railway system? Or did Cruella drive them somewhere outside the town to find that train crossing?
~ The whole test seems like something out of Rebel Without a Cause.
~ Itâs interesting to see Regina have a ânever meet your heroesâ storyline with Maleficent in the flashbacks. Usually that kind of interaction is used for heroic characters who need to be called back into a fight.
~ The question that seems to be emerging from this half-season is: How far are the characters willing to compromise their values in order to preserve their reputation (either for good or for evil)? Snow and David cross lines in order to protect Emmaâs goodness and their own image; and Regina goes along with the witchesâ schemes, even going so far as to kidnap Pinocchio, in order to maintain trust with them.
~ Did King Stephen not recognize Regina as King Leopoldâs wife?
~ Itâs interesting that Gold uses a ruse that relies on Belle trusting Hook, who he hates. Itâs so sad to see Gold take advantage of their newfound friendship.
~ I wonder if Gold/Rumple impersonating Hook is meant to show how similar they are. The cinematography cutting between the two of them is great, conveying the transformation without any special effects.
~ Gold (disguised as Hook) and Belle echo the vow they made when she agreed to stay with him: âYou have my wordâ / âYou have mine.â
Episode 4x16 âPoor Unfortunate Soulâ
~ This show basically splits the (back)story of The Little Mermaid in half, giving the romance to Ariel and the father-daughter/human-merpeople conflict to Ursula. Itâs interesting that Hook betrays both of them in some way, but reconciles with them later.
~ It seems that Hook and his crew didnât just stay in Neverland for however many years; Pan allowed them to leave in order to pick up supplies for him.
~ Hook is justifiably angry about how Gold used his likeness and deceived Belle.
~ (Spoiler alert:) The episode drops the first hints that either Hook or Emma could become the Dark One!
~ I LOVE the version of âFathoms Belowâ that Ursula sings! As fun as it is in its sea shanty version, it sounds beautiful as a ballad, and could even be a lullaby.
~ It took me a long time to figure out that Hook finding the Jolly Roger in a bottle was a nod to Jack Sparrow finding the Black Pearl in a similar condition! I guess thatâs what happens when Blackbeard takes over your ship.
~ You can see the shift in young Ursulaâs demeanor when she and Hook strike a new, less charitable bargain.
~ Hookâs decision to take Ursulaâs voice ⌠doesnât really make sense.
~ Snow White pulled a Rapunzel, using a frying pan to knock out Cruella!
~ Emma looks at Hook with such pride, like, âYou did that! You caused a happy ending!â
~ Hookâs final conversation with Emma is so beautiful! He is still full of insecurities about his past, his hero/villain identity, and his future. Him telling Emma that she is his happy ending is just like Flynn Rider telling Rapunzel that she is his new dream. For as long as it takes Emma and Hook to say âI love you,â they find many other wonderful ways to make their feelings clear to each other.
~ If Ursula and Ariel never met, how did Ursula gain her reputation as a villain? Did she ever actually do anything bad?
~ Does Ursula keep her tentacles, or return to a mermaid tail after reconciling with her father?
Episode 4x17 âBest Laid Plansâ
~ This is the episode that is most self-contradictory about the theme of free will.
~ The fact that Snow refers to their child as âitâ instead of âshe,â even after seeing that the baby will be a girl, is very telling.
~ Parents afraid of their child growing up to be a threat to them is very mythical. In Greek mythology this happens with Ouranos, Kronos, and Zeus, as well as Laius, the father of Oedipus.
~ Putting a whole town under a sleeping curse seems to be Maleficentâs MO
~ What makes Isaacâs introduction so convincing is that he seems to serve the kind of role that is typical of folk tales and episodes alike: the guide providing exposition and offering advice to the protagonist(s).
~ âWeâve gone too far own this path.â = The rationale for most characters who start down a dark path and persist because they think the canât go back.
~ How did they not see any potential danger in banishing darkness into the offspring of a villain/part-time monster? Wouldnât that make them an even more dangerous threat?
~ Maleficent is far too nice in this show. Sheâs supposed to be the mistress of all evil, but she seems like a softie.
~ I find it hard to believe Maleficent couldnât overpower Snow and Charming as they fled. And why would she not go after them during the months remaining before the Dark Curse was cast?
~ Gold and Belleâs scene is so bittersweet. What else does Gold refer to as âchangingâ?
~ Although they throw around semi-religious terms rather clumsily, the scene of Snow and Charming resolving to do better in the future is pretty beautiful.
~ Itâs nice to see Mary Margaret acknowledge that Regina is becoming their friend. That has been increasingly evident this season, mostly in small moments like that one.
~ How long was that sleeping spell in effect? Did David and Mary Margaret come home to find Emma asleep on top of Hook?
~ Mary Margaret saying âIâm your motherâ is kind of out of nowhere.
~ Even though itâs a small thing, itâs nice to see Hook have an arc of accepting August as Emmaâs friend. Being comfortable with your significant other having friends of the opposite sex shows trust and maturity.
~ Is no one concerned about Regina apparently missing? And where is Henry when his grandparents come clean?
~ Why are none of the Authors that August alludes to female? They could have easily included Scheherazade, which would have provided a connection to Aladdin and the other Arabian Nights tales.
~ Apparently despite all the time theyâve spent looking for the Author, none of the heroic protagonists considered that he might have his own agenda, and that it might not align with theirs.
Episode 4x18 âHeart of Goldâ
~ A title with multiple meaningsâI like it!
~ This is the first episode that really focuses on Robin Hood as a protagonist, apart from Belle, Baelfire/Neal, or Regina (though she is still very much present in his thoughts). I wish we got to see more of him in action like this.
~ How would Marian have known so much about Baelfire?
~ For all that I dislike about this episode, Robin Hood chasing a thief on horseback down the streets of New York is pretty hilarious!
~ Apparently Robin knows this worldâs emergency procedure: call 911. Maybe he learned this when they brought Little John to the hospital in Storybrooke?
~ Robin and Will met in Oz? Just how many lands/realms/worlds did Will traverse? If Robinâs mission were in Wonderland that would make more sense.
~ Walsh turns out to be relevant for something! And thereâs a Hidden Mickey in his drawer!
~ Perhaps the biggest plot hole: Why did Zelenaâs shapeshifting stay intact when they left Storybrooke and entered the Land Without Magic? That lifted the impact of the Snow Queenâs magic.
~ Zelena is basically playing the same role that Walsh did, trying to ensnare a hero into a false marriage.
~ Willâs backstory is kind of huge, and his words, âDoesnât seem fair to ask somebody for their heart until I can fix me own,â holds a lot of truth; yet they seem to gloss over it.
~ I totally thought Will was playing up the nice act and trying to pick Robinâs pocket; having Robin instead slip the potion to him is a good twist!
~ The Genie poster for Aladdin is visible behind Robin outside the hospital!
~ The scene of Robin and Gold outside the hospital starts out so sweet and sincere, but then becomes so twisted and manipulative. Goldâs advice sounds like it would actually be good in real life, but heâs using it to play into Zelenaâs deception.
~ Robin doesnât really make the distinction that he only steals from the corrupt, unjustly wealthy. The way he talks about stealing for yourself or for others makes it sound like any kind of thievery done for others is morally justified. That could be taken in dangerous directions.
~ The real Marian is so sweet and supportive when Robin becomes an outlaw! No wonder he was so surprised by her apparent reaction to his behavior in New York.
~ There is a very plausible reason for Robin to have Reginaâs number: she helped them get their start in New York, and she could help them again if they were ever in need.
~ Does Robin find a way to make a living in the modern world? What jobs would he qualify for, outside of crime?
~ Regina being protective of Emma is beautiful, and a sign of true character growth. Instead of wishing for Emma to share the same horrible experiences she did, she wants to spare her from them.
Episode 4x19 âSympathy for the De Vilâ
~ I get that Gold threatened Reginaâs love, but for her to take Belleâs heart, like Belle isnât even a person with agency of her own, is such a regression back into darkness.
~ âA person obsessed with vengeance is easy to manipulate.â Gold knows this because Hook demonstrated it earlier this season.
~ Itâs nice to see Emma and Regina interact as concerned friends. Emma wants to protect Regina just as much as Regina wants to protect Emma.
~ Light brown is an interesting color on Regina. Itâs one of the lighter colors weâve seen her in.
~ I like Emmaâs conversation with Hook and Regina, but searching for Henry seems like an odd time for them to get on her case about forgiving her parents.
~ This whole episode seems to stigmatize mental illness. Or maybe itâs supposed to be a commentary on poor treatment? The way itâs written off at the end as Cruella just opening herself to darkness is ⌠unsettling, and not in a good way.
Episode 4x20 âLilyâ
~ Who arranged Cruellaâs interment? And why is Emma just watching Gold and Isaac from a distance, neither of them hiding from the other? Are they at a stalemate in terms of power?
~ Why would the Storybrooke library have microfiche records of births in Minnesota? Or did Lily enter this world closer to Maine, like Emma?
~ Abby Ross does a great job playing teenage Emma. It could also be a directing thing, but she seems to mimic Emmaâs way of talking and moving very well.
~ Regina implicitly criticizes Snow and David for âmessing withâ fate, but then encourages Emma to push against fate.
~ Hook and Emmaâs conversation is nicely placed at a time in between the major ups and downs of their relationship. He confirms what the audience could already deduce about how she influenced him to change.
~ I love Reginaâs purple dress!
~ Emma seems to blame herself a lot for pushing Lily away, but Lily was a pretty awful friend to her.
~ Regina says she âwent to the trouble to create Storybrooke.â That raises a lot of questions Iâve wondered about: how much of the town did she design, and how much was Rumplestiltskinâs handiwork?
~ Itâs weird and ironic to see Regina be the one restraining Emmaâs temper.
~ It feels like the showâs writers are using fate as an excuse for tropey, formulaic writing. Like, of course the wolf is fate intervening. The funny thing is how self-aware the characters are about it, even as Regina tries to deny it.
~ Lily really asked Emma to put herself in danger, approaching her gun-owning boyfriend.
~ Did that kidâs parents never warn her about strangers luring her with food? That is so creepy for Lily to do!
~ Was that even Lilyâs car that Emma stole?
~ Even though Emma is mad at her parents, she still fiercely wants to protect them.
~ While the script is painfully unsubtle, Lilyâs monologue raises a big real-life question: if it seems like the world is against you, and bad things happen no matter what you do, what is the point of trying to make better choices?
~ Lilyâs tirade at gunpoint is confusing, like Palpatine urging Anakin or Luke to kill him. Does she really want Emma to kill her?
~ The fact that Regina gets to talk down someone about to make the same kinds of mistakes she made is beautiful.
~ Was Regina talking to Maleficent, Lilyâs mother, practically standing next to her, without even telling her?
~ Emma and Regina donât actually tell Lily that they want to introduce her to her mother. That could have changed her whole attitude toward them from the start. If she wanted to go to Storybrooke, she should have just heard them out and gone along with them.
~ Gold finally shows some contrition for deceiving Belle, and enough selflessness to let go of her and let Will take his place.
~ I donât have words for how messed up the Robin/Zelena thing is.
Episode 4x21 âMotherâ
~ Motherhood is a central theme of this entire show, but this episode zones in on it in both old and new ways: Snow reconciling with Emma, Maleficent trying to bond with Lily, Regina contending with Cora, Regina destroying her own fertility, and Zelena expecting a baby. Thatâs five mother-child relationships being juggled in this episode!
~ Its interesting to see Regina at a stage on her way to becoming the Evil Queen.
~ It's so good to see Cora this season! She is my favorite OUAT villain, because she is the most frightening. She is so convincing, it's always tricky to tell when she is sincere and when she is lying or manipulating the truth.
~ Is the color yellow significant for the rose? As the Queen of Hearts, Cora would have favored red or white roses.
~ They use a forgetting potion as an easy solution for Roland, whereas when Snow White used it to forget Charming it had a huge impact on her personality. This is one example of the show losing its âAll magic comes with a priceâ theme.
~ Bringing the Wicked Witch back to Storybrooke, where she would have more access to magic, is a questionable move. And why doesnât that ice curse resume its course when she returns?
~ When theyâre shown together, Maleficent and Lily really do resemble each other!
~ Where and when could Cora and Tinker Bell have met? That would have been an interesting interaction!
~ The Queen of Hearts and the Sheriff of Nottingham are actually allies in the Sisters Grimm books, another series that sets fairy-tale characters in a modern-day town.
~ Lily and Maleficent are oddly similar to Emma and Henry at the start of the series, except this time itâs the parent that wants the child to stay in town.
~ âThings could change in a week.â This is true: a lot can happen quickly in Storybrooke!
~ Cora and Zelena both tried to use imposture to trick someone into having a child with someone they didnât love.
~ Snow corrects David by calling Lily âsheâ instead of âit,â a nice callback correcting the way they talked about her in the egg!
~ The look David and Hook exchange carries a whole conversation. âYou did this, didnât you? Thank you.â âNo problem, mate.â
~ Why/how did Lily calm down enough to revert to human form?
~ Isaac is right about Regina being self-destructive, and itâs most evident in this episode! Sterilizing herself in order to keep Cora from using her (or her future child?) to get more power is so painful to see. But Regina being infertile, and immediately seeming to regret it, helps to explain why she has such a soft spot for children and tried so hard to get one of her own in earlier seasons.
~ âMy happy ending is finally feeling at home in the world.â That actually sounds like every personâs happy ending, the final step in the Heroâs Journey.
~ Is Isaac just playing Regina the whole episode? Did he ever intend to help her?
~ The series really goes in the direction of the Inkheart trilogy, with the Author able to conjure or alter realities simply by writing a few sentences.
Episode 4x22 âOperation Mongoose Part 1â
~ Iâm confused about Isaacâs true motives. Is he just out for himself? Does he really care who gets a happy ending?
~ The characters really canât seem to decide whether âvillains getting happy endingsâ is a good or bad thing.
~ The intro/teaser about Isaac becoming the Author is cool! The test to identify the Author is much like the test to identify the Avatar in The Last Airbender, which is based on the search for the Dalai Lama in real life.
~ Probably the most unrealistic aspect of the Author is how quickly he can write a bestselling novel!
~ Henry seems to be going back to his first-episode roots, running away to find his family. The only difference is that this time someone tries to call the cops on him!
~ I wonder if Isaacâs press tour event resembles actual Once Upon a Time fan events. It looks like there are Disney cosplayers in the audience, including Jack Sparrow!
~ I love Henry in this season finale! After being absent or on the sidelines for a lot of this season, he finally gets to be a protagonist and hero. I only wish there had been a little more setup for his arc.
~ I think this is Henryâs first time in the Enchanted Forest, or at least some version of it. No wonder he is so excited when he arrives!
~ What an amazing, hilarious, unexpected yet fitting callback to Henryâs famous line to Emma!
~ Dwarves serving as Black Knights is so funny and disturbing at the same time!
~ Snowâs hair looks like it might be Ginnifer Goodwinâs natural hair, only styled differently!
~ This two-part episode is basically like the showâs own fan fiction of itself, and itâs hilarious!
~ Henry refers to âhis plan.â Was he the one who sent Robin to rescue Regina? Was there some deleted scene of them?
~ Was Emma really locked up for years, as Regina says? Or did she just wake up in that tower and start screaming, as shown onscreen? If it was the former, that could have had a huge toll on her mental state from then on.
Episode 4x23 âOperation Mongoose Part 2â
~ It seems that in this reality, Baelfire has been replaced by his namesake baby Neal. His presence with Belle and Rumple could also be foreshadowing of them having a baby of their own, something first hinted at by Peter Pan in season 3!
~ Isaac says Baelfire died because of Rumplestiltskinâs cowardice, but thatâs not really true.
~ Itâs so good to see Hook and Henry working together, Henry demonstrating how much he learned from Hook, and Hook learning about the ways of Star Wars!
~ Emmaâs dress is beautiful, but way too extravagant for a prisoner.
~ âMy scheduleâs pretty clear.â = subtle callback to Hook telling Emma Iâve all the time in the worldâ at the start of this season.
~ I hope Snow apologized to the dwarf she killed (Iâm guessing Doc due to the glasses) after they returned to Storybrooke!
~ I LOVE Emmaâs new Enchanted Forest outfit! Not that her dresses arenât lovely, but the vest and pants fit her style and personality much better.
~ Even in this adventure, Emma shows hints of darkness, yelling at Grumpy and threatening him. She also shows how fiercely protective she is of Hook in that moment.
~ In the background, Hook picks up the sword and holds it up, so clumsy and uncertain, yet ready and willing to fight for Emma.
~ âIs she worth your life, pirate?â âIâm willing to find out.â Thatâs really been Hookâs attitude since becoming Emmaâs ally at the start of season 3!
~ After all their animosity in seasons 2-3A, which gave way to friendship and alliance in seasons 3B-4, itâs strange to see Hook and David have an all-out duel.
~ I think the writers/directors specifically blocked that scene so Emma would see Hookâs face as he died!
~ Belle paraphrases Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast!
~ âWhat does your heart tell you?â = another Star Wars reference?
~ I bet Emma has wanted to cross blades with Rumplestiltskin for a LONG time!
~ Regina choosing to protect Henry, even at the cost of her supposed happy ending, is completely in-character, yet also shows how much she has grown since the first season, where she put Henry in danger while pursuing her goal of a happy ending for herself.
~ Itâs hard to believe that after everything that happened, Emma is still too afraid to tell Hook âI love you.â Colin OâDonoghueâs acting in that scene is incredible. And apparently Hook finally considers himself a hero!
~ Great lines from Snow about what makes a hero or villain!
~ âThe best way to show your love for those that are gone is to tell their stories.â True words!
~ Henry is a lot like Harry Potter in his scene with the Apprentice: he wonders about the possibility of resurrecting a dead parent, and he breaks the Authorâs quill the way Harry breaks the Elder Wand in the film version of Deathly Hallows. But how can he still be the Author if he does not have the quill?
~ Apparently Will is Rolandâs baby-sitter! Not sure how wise that is, but it could make for fun shenanigans!
~ Why does the darkness target Regina? It canât be because she has the greatest potential for darkness, since that was shown to be Emma earlier this season. Is it because she is now so full of light, as Henry and Emma hint?

Pairing : Leroy Jethro Gibbs x Reader Wife
Jethroâs POV:
â Hello Y/N ahh Mrs Gibbs , Mrs Bossâ Tony rambled as Y/N entered the bull pen.
â Good Morning to you Tony, Y/N is fine you knowâ she chuckled.
â So how was the honeymoon. Boss didnât give a single detail. âTony rambled.
â A lady never kiss and tell â Y/N chuckled. â Jethro did you prepare the report state asked for from NCISâ
â Here darling. Coordinated with the marines, navy  and NCIS agents  deployed on ground , to do the threat assessment. Itâs a go ahead from NCIS , the Director signed on it â I said.
â Y/N up for the writerâs convention this week. â McGee asked.
â Yepp , very excited. Specially the 1920s Gatsby theme. Gonna love that. Already got a flapper costume. â she said excitedly.
â Ouchâ , McGee a said as I Â gave him a head slap.
â Work McGeeâ.
â Boss I am trying , but the codes are too toughâ McGee said.
â Hey McGee I am hearing Next Yearâs theme would be Regency England, gonna love that tooâ Y/N continued
â They have the best themesâ McGee continued.
â Ouch not fair Gibbsâ Y/N protested as I gave her a heads lap.
â Well you will get another one if you distract my team wifeyâ I said with humour
â Ahh temptedâ she rolled her eyes.â Well gotta go then. Too bad I can solve the codes on McGeeâs big screen, but gotta let him workâ she said with a poker face trying  to walk away.
â Y/N, the codeâ
â Sorry love, donât want to distract your team or youâ she said with a straight face. â Byeâ.
Readerâs POV:
â No sweetie, you arenât going anywhere before cracking thatâ he said holding me by my waist.
I looked him with a bratty look. He stared at me with a smirk and nodded , baiting me to bring forward my bratty side.
â Not my Job Jethro. Besides what would the state department think knowing that your agent here is trying to hack the network of a foreign embassy.â
â So the state department never hacked anything? Wonder how you recognise the code then my love. I mean I donât know much about codes and algorithms but even someone like you couldnât recognise it with a glance, especially when McGee is sweating his ass of on it from the morning. So Y/N ,did you ever Crack this before? â he smirked.
â Fine Gibbs. I will Crack it. But I wonât do it pro Bono. I would want something in return.â
â So what itâs gonna cost me ?â He said clearly loving our game.
â I donât know Gibbs , think of somethingâ.
â What if I ask you nicely ? Please? â he said with puppy dog eyes and a boyish grin.
â hhmmm better ,but not enoughâ I chuckled.
He made his way towards the corner, away from his teamâs earshot , calling me with a come hither motion.
â The rest of you atleast pretend to work?â he said nodding his head.
â So what secret deal are you offering me Special Agent Gibbsâ I said rolling my eyes.
He held my chin , making me look at him.
âWhy why arenât you a brat. You need discipline. So hereâs my offer darling. You will Crack the code in return of the discipline you need. Then I can make sure , you get the punishment you deserve tonight in bed.âhe said with lust.
â And If I donât agree love?â
â You will, cause thatâs what you want right.â He smirked trailing his thumb across my bottom lip. â That and if you donât, I will not let you cum tonight â
â Ahh you wontâ
â But I would. You see darling , I love to get you all worked up, hearing your pretty little voice , as you beg me to let you cum.â He laughed.
âŚ.
â All done McGee. You got your data. You knew who your petty officer aka double agentâs foreign handler. â Thanks Y/N.
â So Y/N whatâs your secret.?â Tony asked.
â What secret?â I asked.
â You bring another side of Gibbsâ ,McGee said.â He is great to work with. But I never realised he can be so fun.â
â Well ever since you met him , he is so not grumpy. You light up his world you know.â
Â
â and he rocks mineâ Â I winked making them laugh.
â Ahh Y/N you donât want to mess with Boss âs coffee.â Tony said as I picked up Gibbsâs mug from his desk as McGee nodded agreeing with Tony.
I saw Gibbs walking down the squadroom. â Babe , can you bring me fave chocolate doughnut todayâ I pouted.
â Ahh let me think about itâ he chuckled.
â Ahh come on Jethro , I did solve your caseâ I said with my puppy dog eyes.
â I will loveâ he laughed.
â Whatâs this?â he said picking up the froth and whipped cream from my hot chocolate cup.
â Itâs  milk foam dearâ I said Licking his fingers. â Ohh this is just a preview of whatâs gonna happen tonight.â I whispered out of everyoneâs earshot.
â Donât waste it, and thatâs mine hot chocolate not yours.â I continued loudly.
Â
â Where is my coffee?â Jethro asked.
â Here I saidâ inhaling it.
â Baby you are not supposed to have coffee remember, and sit down babe. Donât tire yourself out. Donât forget to jeep yourself hydeatedâ He reminded.
â Oh come on Jethro, I canât wear my favourite stilettos anymore. Canât even have my cappuccino. Smelling the caffeine is the only thing that helps with the nausea. I am not having it, just smelling it. Better watch out , I will be a bitch with terrible mood swings if you donât allow to inhale the caffeine scent.
â I like it when you are my bitchâ he whispered smirking, making me blush.
â Well gotta go loveâ I said.
â Come let me walk you to the car.â
20 bucks that things are gonna get heated up in the elevator â Tony said which made him get a headslap from Gibbs.
Â
We walked into the elevator. As the door closed , he switched on the emergency stop sign and kissed me with passion. I returned it with the same intensity, both fighting for control and domination. He pushed me against the wall shoving his hand below my skirt. He pushed two fingers inside my panties, feeling the moisture there. â Good Girl, already wet for meâ he smirked. He quickly undid his pants as his hard cock sprang out from his boxers. He lined it with my entrance , running it up and down my slit for a few times teasing me before plunging into me. He pulled me closer thrusting deep while I arched my hips towards him.
â JethroâŚ. Oh ohh I whispered. I am close . Can I?â
â Yes baby. Cum for me darling , cum on my cock.â He said.
As I reached my peak , I felt weak at the knees ,as waves and waves of pleasure hit me. â
Gibbs held me tight against him , still thrusting as he hit my g spot, kissing me and claiming my moans. He picked me up while I wrapped my legs around him , helping me recover from the pleasure. Slowly he build his pace again. â I am closeâ he said. âTogether â he said as I clenched his cock knowing I am right at the edge . With one final thrust ,  I reached my climax, finding my release.   Milking his cock , I heard him calling out my name as he shot his load deep into me.
Gently kissing my lips he put me down, but still holding me steady He put his forehead against mine as we both panted.
He put his fingers inside my pussy scooping  some of cum and Licking his fingers clean.
â A little preview for tonightâ he smirked, gently petting my ass.
He zipped up his pants and smoothed out my skirt. Then he rubbed my still flat belly whispering â love you and your mummyâ. Then he kissed me on the forehead, before helping me with my shoes.
Jethroâs POV:
As I made my way to the bullpen after seeing Y/N off and making sure her seatbelt is properly fastened, I made my way to the bullpen.
â What took you so long boss? McGee asked. â The elevator is giving trouble for a few days.â You didnât get stuck did you Bossâ Tony asked doubtfully.
â I think you stopped for another cup of  coffee maybe â he continued.
â Do you see a cup of coffee in my hand Dinozzo? Infact did you hear the elevator bell go off?â I asked, while taking out a 20 dollar bill and handing it to Tony.
â Ohh thanks boss but why?â Ohh Ewwwâ Tony said amused as realisation dawned on him.
â Bossâ Mcgee said â Why is Y/N not allowed to have coffee any more?â
â You know for two seasoned investigators you too are pretty slowâ I chuckled as new realisation dawned on them.
â Bossâ
â Yep we are pregnant â I grinned proudly making them jump up with joy and excitement as they embraced me in a group hug.

ouattober2023 Day 3: Fav Story Arc
I have enjoyed this show for the most part, even including S7. I think the switch to half-season arcs was good to keep it all fresh and not drag out things for too long. S4 being split into Frozen and Heroes & Villains was fun. But there just is no question. The arc I care about most, that I go back to rewatching for funsies, that I have the most (positive) feelings about (and some concerns/criticism) - Season 1: The Original Curse. The intertwined storytelling of everything that led to Storybrooke springing into existence and how Emma gets to know the town, breaking the curse as she was meant to do.
Unlike other arcs this is far broader, I have to acknowledge that. The 22 episodes of S1 allow for far more sidetracking. And later some details get revealed to prop it up (for this I'm thinking about stuff like Welcome to Storybrooke, a long overdue look at what it was like for Regina before).
Personally I still go so far to say, that the first season of Once Upon a Time is simply A+ tv. I absolutely recommend this to anybody who wants to have some fantasy-romance-family-fun. Well, okay, so S1 has some very, very dark moments (Graham's death for example).
They won me over with a thing I didn't expect - the Snowing romance. I'm sorry, but a lot of tv is as sophisticated as the Avril Lavigne song goes "he was a boy, she was a girl". Bang, there, that's it, that's the couple. (And I do believe even this show got super lazy with this.) But here we have Snow White and Prince Charming. Yes, of course they are a couple. They need to be. We all know that. True Love! True Love's Kiss! This is the kind of given couple I do not expect to be shown any type of friendship formed. Or an explanation why they think of the other. It just is. But they give us episode 3 Snow Falls and I am so in. Because yes, okay Snow being a bandit and a badass with a bow, totally capable of fighting and taking no nonsense - definitely checks some boxes for me. But Charming is also fun and smitten with her and I can see why they care. She uses the powder to save him. And they both have other things in their life, they can't spend time with this random person - and then they live rent free in each other's head. I believe in the stupid "I will always find you" concept. It is used again and again and still it's always sweet, throughout the show.
If you watch only the Storybrooke parts it seems so old and tired how the nice mousy lady fell in love with a coma patient, making things up about him in her head probably. And then he's married, she gets called a tramp and omg this cheating storyline. But with the fairytale underneath? Knowing they are in fact very actually cursed? This is their punishment and it is supposed to be terrible and hurt? WONDERFUL! David can't just leave Katherine, the curse won't allow for that. There is no easy solution, this has to be painful. We get something like 7:15am and at the end of the episode Mary Margaret and David try so desperately not to see each other, they are both in the diner at 7:45am. ROMANCE!! I am just rarely sold so solid on the main couple, okay? So this was special to me and I indeed looked forward to the episodes to see how their (EF) romance played out. And omg Heart of Darkness is such a banger of an episode. Evil!Snow is the scariest person on this show. He didn'f take an arrow for her, he took an arrow from her.
Exploring Storybrooke is also fun for the viewer. Henry believes things are weird, Emma has rational explanations, we know the truth. It's a wonderful and quirky set-up. Small town filled with weirdness. With so many episodes there was time to put in Hänsel & Gretel for the non-Disney fairytale feel. Great. We had time to get to know Leroy aka Grumpy aka Dreamy (I always laugh when he and Mary Margaret go door to door with the candles) with his own ep (still think as a whole the seven dwarves didn't get enough recognition). You can look left and right and wonder what's everybody's deal is. The town feeling is so important. People with jobs doing stuff. It's something that is a bit lost in later seasons with the focus on the core group, who are all related to each other. I'm sure Archie was a very busy man in the background dealing with everybody else...
It's also amazing to rewatch those first episodes and be reminded that it takes a long, long while until the Evil Queen's motivation is explained. Daniel who? To see Snow as a girl blabber out Regina's secret to Cora - SHOCKING! To understand that these two could have been friends, ohohohoho. It's clear that Rumple plays a huge part in the whole Dark Curse thing, but I think S2 gets more meaty with him. Yet his presence alone and all the deals he keeps making add a lot of flavor.
The worldbuilding is slow, but in this the out-of-order presentation does work, because S1 is actually well planned. (Yes, OUaT is a show that suffers a bit from later additions and expanding lore, but the original promise doesn't collapse under the weight.) The nice parallel structure makes the episodes interesting and moves everything forward at a comfortable pace. They also know how to throw a curveball. Oh, this town is hidden and no stranger ever walks up? Well, yes, hallo here is this guy on a motorcycle nobody has ever met before and he knows things. And for quite a few episodes August is just there, a well planted mystery box.
In the midst of everything magical suddenly we have the episodes Red-Handed, Heart of Darkness and Hat Trick following each other. A werewolf tearing bodies into pieces (yes, thanks, spilled blood looks best on fresh white snow), a whole murder investigation and aforementioned gonna-kill-Regina-now-Snow, and oh yeah that moment where you start wondering if Emma and Mary Margaret will be killed by a psycho axe murderer and the Mad Hatter might be a slasher now... yep. this show can be a bit dark and S1 knew how to walk that line.
And one last round of applause for the fact that the Storybrooke side of the story works with almost no magic at all. Yes, Regina has a bit in her backpocket, but she's scary enough without it. Her scenes with Gold are so worth a watch. He still knows how to scheme.
Oh, and let me mention something I appreciate a lot. The show starts with Prince Charming waking up Snow White with a kiss. Fairytale! We see the happy ending first. Thrown right into it (without knowing the whole ordeal they went through to get to this point). And then we near the end of the season, ep 21 An Apple Red as Blood. Which is a great episode to me, because I love seeing Snow and her band of misfits storming the castle (group effort, we deserved more of that). This is where we finally see Snow biting that apple, fateful. Hey, it's a Sleeping Curse, cool. She did so willingly though. It was her sacrifice for the promise Charming would be save. Not even trickery (okay, maybe we need to talk about this thing with "it need to be taken willingly to work"). This is such a great bowtie to the whole thing.
This here is what it is all about:

you might want to toss Pachinko into the trash first if only so he won't try to interrupt your rambling to bring attention to himself /J BUT FR HERE OMG PLEASE SHARE THAT RAMBLE AS SOON AS YOU CAN
YOUR OC LEROY HAS ALWAYS BEEN AMONG MY FAVORITES AND GOSH IT ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL SO HAPPY TO HEAR MORE ABOUT HIM đđđđđ
Tbh Keno's there first. Making me lazy and game instead of rambles
It's been primarily Leroy with Tsuri (with some Naomi for extra spice), cuz I've been seeing them more in a fluff/healthy sense than what I had before. Tsuri constantly being mean to Leroy so that Leroy can focus on someone else, but Leroy's too attached and toying with Tsuri as well
Now? Tsuri's actually being honest with his feelings, and Leroy being.. somewhat hesitant now. "Is it ok to just sit on his lap and be wrapped in his arms? To rest my head on his chest and.. do nothing? Just relax and be at ease and.. say 'I love you' without feeling like it's all a lie?"
But I kinda feel like a bad person cuz although I genuinely see Leroy and Tsuri as a couple, I still love when Leroy and Naomi fool around. I like the rivalry she and Tsuri have over Leroy. They may not have a couple, but she's the second closest person to Leroy, and that's no easy feat.
Probably cuz I'm a multi/polyship lover, it's still easy to ship it like that. Leroy loves to kiss and play around with Naomi and go on cute dates, but when Tsuri's back, it's farewell kisses, and into the arms of a grumpy and jealous redhead. Tsuri doesn't hate Naomi per se (he'd do everything he could to kill her if he felt it necessary), but.. goddammit, that's HIS Pudding. Stop touching him
Leroy loves their attention, so he doesn't deny it.

For the emoji ask game:đ and đ
Whoâs a character you donât write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (Theyâre so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorboâŚ)
Jefferson, definitely. Heâs got so many personalities - almost as many as Rumpelstiltskin, with a fraction of the screen time. Iâd love to spend more time with him.
Is there anything in canon that you absolutely hate and love to fix in fics? A wrong choice made, a fuck-up in characterization, a misunderstanding never cleared up, a conversation never shown onscreen, etcâŚ
At this point, I basically avoid canon altogether; all it does is remind me of all the parts that suck. If I were to choose one (apart from the obvious âdonât kill Neal and negate the whole premise of the showâ), I have to say itâd be Lacey. Just⌠the whole concept of Lacey. The idea of a darker Belle who feeds into Rumpelstiltskinâs worst side is an intriguing one, but Lacey⌠isnât that. Sheâs just everything Gold isnât supposed to like, which is basically yet another case of the show reducing Belle to âwhatever causes Rumpelstiltskin the most stress.â I mean⌠whereâs the poetry? Mary Margaret has all of Snowâs kindness, but none of her courage. David has all of his love for Snow, but none of the conviction. Ruby has Redâs animal side, but makes her a wolf who rejects her own pack. Leroy is still grumpy, but he doesnât have his brothers.
Lacey has none of that. Sheâs just, in my opinion, a poorly-written bad girl character whom weâre supposed to slut shame. The true tragedy of the curse is that weâre supposed to see glimpses of the charactersâ true selves. Apart from the whole âperson in the present repeating a line they said in the pastâ thing, I see no trace of Belle in Lacey.
Anyway - I donât want to go into how I would write that differently, because thatâs a spoiler for one of my WIPs ;)
Thanks for the asks!

@kmomof4 Of my, my my!! These chapters just get better and better as the story goes on!! â¤ď¸đâ¤ď¸ I love how you show Emma worrying over Killian Mr. Jonesâ cough and fever, worried for his well-being and anxious to see he doesnât grow any worse or experience more discomfort on her watch. Call me mean-spirited, but I couldnât help getting a bit of humor out of her predicament in getting him out of all his wet clothes, and yet how desperately she worked to maintain both of their modesty and honor. đ¤
She did have me worried right along with her when she woke in the night and Killian seemed delirious and burning up with fever. It almost broke my heart when she gave in and kissed him as he begged, even if unconsciously- knowing that she wanted to do badly and yet would never normally have let herself do so just pulled all my heartstrings perfectly. This bit especially: âMr. Jones?â she asked. How she wanted to call him Killian. It was what she called him in her dreams, how she thought of him all these years. But it would be completely unacceptable for her to do so here.â
And then the Miners returned to the cottage!! Theyâre perfection!! I so enjoyed getting to see a happily married vision of Leroy and Astrid/Nova and how - contrasting a pair as they seem - compliment each other and dote on one another adorably. (Loved how you slipped in the bit about Mr. Minerâs eyes going a bit âdreamyâ as he watched his wife bustle about the room. I see what you did there!! đđ) I understood why he was a bit suspicious of their unexplained guest, but I also like how Killian knows the man well enough to see beneath his grumpy exterior and know that his big heart would be concerned for Emma, just as he himself is.
Oh! And when Emma found his drawings, including the one of herself at the ball!! And her aching for the sort of family she saw reflected in his workâŚ. đĽšđĽšđĽš
You just really have outdone yourself once again Krystal! Truly!!! đĽ°
A Mistress to No One Part 2 Ch5
We are back, yâall!!! Thank you all for your love and support of this fic!!! We have some hurt/comfort incoming, so get ready!!! I hope you enjoy the chapter and let me know what you think!
All the love to @hollyethecuriousâ for whom the fic was written, @jrob64â and @zaharadessertâ for their beta prowess, and @motherkatereloyshipperâ for her manips of Killian and Leroy and Astrid in the artwork.
Summary:Â Bastard Emma Swan enjoys one night of pure magic and romance in the midst of a life of drudgery and abuse- attending a masquerade ball and meeting aristocrat Killian Jones.Â
Two years later, the same man she met on the best night of her life reappears, saving her from a dire fate in the process. Now, she must keep herself from falling in love with a man she can never have. But when that proves impossible, is there any hope for a happy ending between two people from such vastly different worlds?
