"Sometimes I forget how nice it is to have a childless house" Chimney sighed, relaxing into Hen's couch, casually sipping the wine they were sharing. Denny was at Athena's for a sleep over and Buck had Jee-Yun for the night since Maddie was working late.

"Yeah, especially at that age, that's gonna be the toughest age for a while." Hen and Chimney met up for a few drinks to decompress after their shift. Going through about a bottle and a half of red wine, feeling the light buzz it caused. Both having random conversations and lazy forms of affection. Chim makes an off hand comment about Hen's 'sensitivity' which causes Hen to pull a face and shake her head.

"I don't know where you got that information, but it's not true." Chimney scoffed rather loudly at Hen's response, raising his eyebrows at her.

"You're really lying to me right now? We both know that's not true." Hen shook her head again, finishing her glass before setting it on the table. Chimney began poking at her, anywhere he could reach without moving from his comfortable position, her sides, her stomach, her ribs, her hips. Her tipsy state made it impossible for her to try to hide her reactions, she giggled almost hysterically, scrunching up her face, weakly batting at his hand.

We are all together for a common interest: profit the interest to make you all happy and to revolutionize the world! So, aren't we a tight-knit family that makes you dream? Short because I drew a blank

Hen and Chim were currently the only ones at the firehouse, Bobby, Buck, Eddie, and Ravi were out on a call. A simple one, cat stuck in a tree. Hen was peacefully reading on the couch while Chimney busied himself with chores before collapsing next to her, boredom and restlessness coursing through his veins. He slipped down till his head lightly bonked her shoulder, feeling her put the book down.

"You're that bored right now? You don't know how to pass time Chim? Pick up a book, watch something, text Maddie, there's so many things you have no reason to be so bored." Chimney groaned, sliding down to lay in her lap, flinging his arm dramatically over his face. Hen rolled her eyes, marking her place in the book before actually putting it down.

"Chim seriously?" She grabbed his arm to try to pull him up but quickly released when he yelped. She stared at him in confusion, ready to go full paramedic until she saw his neck flush in embarrassment. But... she had only grabbed his arm... oh! Realization dawned on Hen like the rising sun as she repeated her actions.

"Ticklish biceps, now this is information Maddie definitely needs to know~"

"Nohohohoho shehehe dohohohoesn't! Dohohon't tehehehell heheher!"

Loving the Lisbon Lifestyle

Five days in the Portuguese capital is just what I’ve needed after a busy work schedule in June. It wasn’t a particularly arty trip (who wants to be stuck inside a museum when it’s 36 degrees outside?), but we experienced some spectacular architectural and cultural sights that I’d love to share with you today, such as the beautiful Jerónimos Monastery in Belém - above. This sixteenth-century Late Gothic Manueline building is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the Belém Tower located five minutes down the road on the bank of the Tagus river. Belém is also the home of the most famous pastry shop in Lisbon - Pastéis de Belém - where you can devour crisp custard tarts to your heart’s content.

The oceanarium wasn’t part of our original itinerary, but on a stifling hot Sunday morning, its cool, fresh atmosphere was just perfect. Located in the Parque das Nações, the Lisbon Oceanarium - above - is the largest indoor aquarium in Europe and home to a number of fascinating creatures, including sharks, rays, sea otters, penguins, and even a sunfish. The building’s architect, Peter Chermayeff, designed an industrial-style complex poised within an artificial lagoon to complement the structure’s aquatic interior.

This incredible bookstore is called Ler Devagar and can be found at the LX Factory, a ridiculously cool network of artsy shops and cafes that is well worth an afternoon’s visit. The books in this picture probably amount to about a third of the store’s entire collection, and there are also a number of unique printing machines to be explored at the top of the staircases.

And finally, my highlight of the entire trip: a too-short visit to the magical resort town of Sintra. Beautiful flowers and foliage surround the pastel-coloured houses and quaint market-style streets of this lovely location, and though it is indeed a tourist favourite, Sintra retains a quiet relaxing atmosphere thanks to its inland location. We visited the National Palace - above - with its distinctive white chimneys, but didn’t quite have time to see the Pena Palace from the nineteenth-century on the other side of the hill, famed for its fairytale-like appearance. Ah, there’s always next time!
