Taken 2022 22nd January, these are spetssköldbladfotingar (Lepidurus apus) och hästskoräkar (Triops cancriformis). While they are called tadpole shrimp, they aren't shrimp, triopsids are a Family that has changed little since the Devonian. Both species occur in temporary pools, which before getting dry or frozen, their eggs will be layed. These eggs have a protective cyst that allows them to remain dormant in the substrate, for decades even, and resist the elements until conditions are favorable. In Sweden, T. cancriformis occurs in a few locals in Öland, with two records in Västra Götaland, while L. apus occurs in Skåne, Smålands part of Kalmar län, and Uppsala län.
