"Sathya & Parthiban"
Pencil on paper
I drew Trisha Krishnan as Sathya and Vijay as Parthiban from the film, 'Leo' (2023.) I'm so happy that this fantastic film landed in the US cinema, too!

"Parthiban's Cafe"
Coloured ink, acrylic and pen on paper
I painted Vijay as Parthiban from his latest film, "Leo." (2023)
If you haven't watched it yet, please go to the cinema! It's such an entertaining film. 🦁

What I loved about "Leo" ( no spoiler)
X Cinematography. The fighting scenes especially are not only violent, but stylish and artistic.
X Music. The soundtrack was eclectic and different. Some songs were very quirky but I loved that.
X Acting. Vijay snd Trisha fully committed to show their emotions. I especially loved the bit where Parthiban showed his fear and sorrow.
X Vijay's gray hair. Lol But seriously, I truly appreciated how they showed him as a 49 year-old man with his family. I think there's something profoundly unsexy about making a male actor in their 50s- 60s pretend like a 30 year-old and flirt around with young female actors, no matter how youthfull they look. ( No offense to Cheranjeevi himself, but I'm still traumatized by Waltair Veerayya😂.)
X The only thing is, it was much more gory than Kaithi or Master. I wouldn't recommend it to minors.

!!Caution!!
I will share my spoiler review / background story about my fanart for Leo (2023) below.

My favourite scene from Leo is the scene where Parthiban /Leo cried for finding out about Sathya's investigation on his past. I fully believed Parthiban's tears as much as Sathya did. So it was utterly shocking when he revealed his true identity later. Gosh, he must be a psychopath.
However, I started thinking; maybe, only maybe, he meant what he said. He might've become Parthiban for Sathya's sake. He might've thrown away his past and even his personality when he committed to his love for her. So he was really hurt and couldn't tolerate to sense any disbelief or doubt in Sathya's eyes.
Does it make him less of a psychopath? Maybe it doesn't. A lie is a lie. But this idea inspired me to do this drawing. Parthiban is thinking he will protect Sathya and their kids from his past and danger at any cost. But it is actually Sathya who is saving him from the evil in him.
