Savanaclaw, riddle and Azul with a reader who's cheery and often bouncing with optimism that always has the mind boggling stories to tell. What do you mean that they literally man handed a lion because it won't stop messing around? What do you mean they were in a pit full of scorpions because they accidentally rolled down a hill? What do you mean they literally escaped a real decapitation (hinting towards Riddle LMAO) because he put one spoon full of herbs instead of a teaspoon? Like— they could go on forever! And the thing is, they have evidence of it.

A/N: Thank u so much I've been trying to stay on top of writing but it can get so hard!! But I really do try to keep this fandom alive w some goodies, anyways I'll stop yapping heres

Savanaclaw, Azul, and Riddle with a cheery, adventurous Reader!

Leona:

He didn't exactly always question your storytelling before he got to get to know you as he would rather spend time sleeping. But it seemed like literally everyone was captivated by your latest entertaining experience.

As you guys' relationship grew, it got to the point where he couldn't ignore you dropping an insane piece of lore about yourself.

"Yeah, I was accidentally poisoned before-"

"What did you just say-"

"It's okay though, the gnome did apologize and I got my stomach pumped but everything is all good!"

He makes sure to keep an eye out on you, and honestly your stories are the main thing that keep him awake during the day especially because they're real. And although it may seem he's nonchalant when you message him about where you're at, Leona always makes sure to respond as he does care.

Jack:

As your first friend at NRC and protector kinda, he would get paranoid when you would sometimes disappear. However at first Jack believed you were an independent person, and wasn't up to any nefarious activity.

Until you came back with a gorgon head in a brown sack where he was studying in the autobiography section in the library talking about that you accidentally defeated it.

He screamed in terror upon seeing the thing, causing for him to be shushed completely by offended students. But he could not care less due to the sliced head within the sack, however he quickly took you both outside and you being you didn't exactly see the problem in this situation.

Once you where in an open area near NRC's well he began to question you.

"Why-? A-And how? Why are you like this, do you know how much danger you were in?!"

"To answer all your questions in order, 1. I got lost and she had a huge problem with me, 2. I got scared and ran with my eyes closed with the sword and BOOM, just clean off, and yes I know I was in a lot of danger and I'm very sorry for not responding to your calls."

He was way too scared for both you and himself to respond and learned his lesson to keep an eye on you more.

Ruggie:

Ruggie always told you that he was a "see it to believe it" type person and he was never really believing your wild tales you would tell even if you came back with a little souvenir. He always just assumed you were pulling his leg for a bit.

Until he texted you one day over Magicam, since it was a slow day at the Savannaclaw dorm. Only for you to reply with a video, making him click on it not knowing what he should expect.

Queue you to being in an extremely angry dragon's mouth,

"Hey Ruuggieee! I'll get back to you later since I'm in a pickle right now, but I promise I'll call you when I'm done!"

He nearly passed out upon the sight because what in all of the sevens' names doing inside of that deadly beast. The beast man ended up walking to Ignihyde to possibly get Idia to track your location based on your I.P address, only for his phone to ring just as he was about to blab about what happened.

It was you!

He quickly picked up his phone to hear your excited voice blaring on the phone, "I told you I would call you back! Anyways, come over to my house I have something to show you."

You ended up bringing home a dragon's tooth and treasure and while Ruggie was overjoyed, he reprimanded you for being irresponsible.

But he wouldn't mind it too much if you brought back goodies like this just make sure to let him know so he could tag along.

Azul:

You were running late to a meeting about mending a contract between students he scammed. Since you know him quite well and is a good friend of his, the students thought your kind hearted nature could persuade him out of binding them to the Monstro Lounge for an entire semester.

He written in a small font on the contract that if you were over 15 minutes late, you would be unable to host this meeting and the deal would be off completely. The white haired boy glanced at the clock as the time ticked and he would have his own free work force.

Until you had to come 30 seconds from it being called off completely out of breath.

"Sorry Azul! But I got you a little present from the desert," you said dropping down in your seat and digging through this brown sack.

"Is that-"

"The golden scarab included with the jewel eyes? Yup and I did it all by myself!" You said, extremely proud of yourself.

"Do you understand the value of what you have in your hand? And what were you doing all the way out there by yourself I just talked to you a day ago and that is damn near a 5 day journey?"

"I did this since I did the calculations and about an 1/4 of the wages that the students owe you is in the value of this jewel bug here. So if I split the riches with you, will you let them go?"

You did all of this for some measly students you knew in passing? How could you jeopardize yourself like that?

But he at the same time, respected you greatly and for your trouble and kind heart.

However, he told you to not go anywhere without telling him.

And no of course it's not because he cares about you and was scared once you told him where you went...of course not...

Riddle:

Is the first person who noticed you were gone because he likes to keep tabs on his friends. He didn't know what to expect but the red head just believed you were busy.

So, Riddle decided to shoot you a text as everyone was hanging out in the Heartslabyul dorm and he really wanted to see you.

'Good afternoon, Y/N please feel free to stop by the Heartslabyul dorm. Your company is very appreciated :)'

You quickly texted back, 'Hey Riddle! I'm gonna swing by with a surprise ;D'

He smiled at his phone, unknowing as to what you were going to bring by. Thinking you might bring by muffins or a sweet treat as such.

Not the sword of Excalibur.

You opened the door, bursting in loudly with the enormous sword slung on your back as Grim carried two sacks of gold. Everyone was completely flabbergasted, as the sword had been known to be a mythological thing not yet proven like the fountain of youth.

But there it was on your back as you grinned.

Turned out you picked up your first job at an exploration company and they sent you on a death wish mission to get this damn sword. And in contrary to what everyone believed would be the outcome, you succeeded and retrieved the artifact.

Unfortunately for you, you ended up being scolded for about two hours straight for being completely irresponsible by Riddle with some chime ins from your friends.

He admired your intense tenacity and bravery, but Riddle was super worried about you whenever you take on a quest. He forced you to have a partner whenever you go on missions and call him every time you reached an important point to make sure you were alive and safe.

"So... you really do care about me-"

Hi hiiii, >_< anon!!!! :D omg this is a fun question!!! I think these are the characters who would try to steal you from your partner:

✧ Riddle - if your partner is anyone from Octavinelle (i.e. the trio), Riddle is working overtime to find a way to get you out of there... T^T he will not have you succumb to the bad influences that are the Leech twins and Azul. Riddle has such strict criteria a person must meet in order for them to even be perceived by him as your partner, and no one's managed to earn his approval yet, thus your current partner is not worthy of being called your partner. Quite ironic how he's the only one who can fit into his own criteria. Perhaps he's just destined to be your boyfriend after all. :)

✧ Ace - it's for such a shallow reason, too. He just wants what he doesn't have. T_T especially if you're Deuce's partner. Ace just likes to be a menace, but in being a menace he unintentionally falls for you and now he's really determined to make you his.

✧ Trey - he does it so subtly!!!! You won't even know Trey's aiming to steal you from your partner when he packages leftover baked goods and sends them your way or when he texts you good morning/good night. He's just being friendly, but Trey knows the way to anyone's heart is through delicious food (his boy-next-door charm is just an added bonus). He's hard at work learning all of your gastronomic preferences so that he can effectively win your affections. That, and he's surprisingly discreet with his flirting (whether he intends to be or not).

✧ Cater - it really depends with Cater. He's so good at being a social butterfly, and he knows just how to pop in and snatch you away from your partner for fun photo ops. He just loves being around you, so much so that he may end up third-wheeling you and your partner. He invites himself into your life and before you realize it you're hanging out more and more with Cater than you are with your partner. But it's okay! You don't really need your partner anyway, do you? Not when you have Cay-Cay!

✧ Leona - he knows he's king in Savanaclaw, so it's absolutely mind-boggling to him that you'd settle for some herbivore at the bottom of the food chain. Leona doesn't even have to try very hard to steal you from your partner. He has such an enticing, confident energy about him. That, and no one's going to try to go against the Leona Kingscholar. You might as well start calling yourself (Name) Kingscholar now because your partner can never hope to compete with Leona. <3

✧ Ruggie - also another one that's situation-dependent. If Ruggie truly does like you, then he's willing to exert the energy to come up with a sly scheme to separate you and your partner. He's very good at it, too. Immensely sneaky. >:) you'll never even know he was the reason for the inevitable split.

✧ Azul - it's tako. Envy and greed are such a potent, destructive combination, and he wants you all to himself.

✧ Jade - he's willing to play the long game. Jade will make your partner wish they never even fell in love with you. He is so refined and ruthless in the way he goes about pursuing you while also pulling strings to slowly but surely integrate himself into your life. Your partner won't stand a chance.

✧ Floyd - he's quick with it. No mind games or elaborate cons needed. He'll beat your partner up and collect you in the aftermath.

✧ Jamil - he's doing everything behind the scenes, and it all comes together in a devastatingly neat package. Jamil keeps track of his lies, expertly weaving a web that ultimately leaves you ensnared and partner-less in the very end. You don't need to worry about details. Jamil will be vague and terse about it. :)

✧ Kalim - he does it unintentionally (or maybe he's fully aware of it). Kalim has so much love for you, so it hurts him when he sees how happy you are with your partner. :( he wants to be in that spot! He wants you to call him your boyfriend and he wants to be able to hold and kiss you and take you on dates. He lavishes you with extravagant gifts under the guise of friendship and constantly shows up to your dates. It's pure coincidence, but Kalim has a way of making you and your partner feel so suffocated because neither of you can ever get a word in with him. In the aftermath of your heartbreak, Kalim's there to pick up the pieces.

✧ Vil - ooooo Vil....... he has so much to say about your partner. So many critiques to give. He is the biggest hater when it comes to your relationship. It should be him you call your beloved, not that sorry spud who calls themself your partner. Vil knows his worth and that it’s pointless to compete when he will ultimately be the victor. He constantly checks up on your social media to see if that taken status ever changes, but it will in due time. Vil knows how to play this role flawlessly.

✧ Rook - it's Rook. If Rook doesn't drive your partner away because of how strange he is, then he will stalk you from the shadows until paranoia and dread nearly consume you and drive you into isolation. You'll spend less time with your partner because now you're too afraid to go out, lest you run into your stalker. Rook will come to collect you soon. He shan't make the love of his life wait any longer!

✧ Epel - maybe he's trying to prove that he can get a partner, or maybe he's just feeling competitive knowing that your partner has you and he doesn't. Epel knows he should be your partner, so he's determined to win you over, even if it means he has to act, Great Seven forbid, cute to achieve his goals.

✧ Malleus - it's likely unintentional. Perhaps a passing comment about how he's interested in you and suddenly all of Diasomnia is vowing to bring you and Malleus together. Whoever was dating you immediately breaks up with you when they find out Malleus is crushing on you. There are just some battles you shouldn't fight...

✧ Lilia - love is war, so Lilia might play a little unfairly when he finds himself enthralled. He can't help it for being so devilishly cute! Of course you'd fall for him and his adorable charms, too. Who wouldn't? He's old, so he has plenty of experience in the art of romantic warfare. He's determined.

✧ Neige - it is absolutely intentional and he's so obvious about it. >_< Neige is so obsessed with you!!!! He wants you all to himself, so could your partner do him a favor and break up with you so that Neige can have you instead? :D and no one could possibly say no to Neige! He's just so sweet and so famous and he could ruin your partner with his sheer influence alone. But he won't. <3 so long as he gets to have you hehe.

✧ Rollo - he disapproves of everyone you date. It doesn't matter if they're a decent person; he dislikes them regardless. Anyone who isn't him is undeserving of being your partner. Only Rollo can fill that space, and he fully intends to do so in his own little ways. You'll tell your partner that you're only joining the student council president for breakfast because you want to be friendly, but it's during these meetings where Rollo acts like his charming, cordial self. He reserves rare smiles for you and is genuinely upstanding and sweet. But only for you. And soon you'll fall for him. At least, that's what he hopes will happen. If not, he can resort to drastic measures. Anything for you.

Also spoilers for chapter 6 and 7 with Idia and Malleus-

Cater: he likes takeing pictures that show off your tattoo. He think it is lovely and helps bring our your beauty. He sees that what he does means alot to you. But he dosent ask about it, he dosent dig, he just is there by your side

Trey: while the two of you were talking and bakeing, your tattoo came up. So, you shared it, being able to do whatever while talking. Trey listened and said that he was glad you're still here. If you ever needed help you could allways come to the doorm and ask, they would allways havw your back here.

Leona: literally, no fucks. He just, dosent care. If you do open up about your tattoo and it's meaning, he may verbally brush you off but, he gets literally all of Savanaclaw to be nicer to you and help you out if you seem to need it or ask for it. He also just, pays off Crowly for your rent and gets ruggie to go grocery shopping with you. Due to him being Royalty, he may not be allowed to get a tattoo unless it's in his cultural style. But also being the younger overlooked child, it probably dosent matter as much. But I don't think he would unless something happens to motivate him to actually start trying. Then he would get one in his cultural style.

Rook: he conciders it beautiful and helps being out your natural beauty. I think this man would adore those with tattoos that excentriate their natural features and not bury them too much. He would also put together the meaning behind it quite quickly aswell. He won't do anythjng about it unless he sees that you need it. He'll lend an ear if you wish to tell him your story and your problems. He is there to help

Vil: Modeling isn't exactly friendly to those who come in with tattoos, but if you're already apart of the industry and the tattoo has some sort of meaning, it's more accepted. One day while liveing with you, he does decide to ask about it, so, you share you story, he is genuinely shocked by it. But it's a bit of a grounding moment for him that, struggling like you are, and liveing like this, and he sees how exaughsted you are, how it's hard for you to care for yourself. He sees that, this is a common thing, for others out there too. Everyone has something that they struggle with. If only if he asked sooner. He still overblots, but after it, he directly apologized to you, knowing he just added more on your plate again. I think he would get a black and purple apple semicolon tattoo, as to not let everything bottle up so much that it poisons his work and those around him again. It keeps him grounded and reminds him of whats important and what he learned from while attending NRC

Iida: he has probably tought of getting some tattoos tbh, of differnt series that he adores and what makes him happy. Of course, he would probably work with a tattoo artist to make a tattoo gun that is painless and quickens the healing time. I think, after everything, he would text you and ask about your tattoo, and that it's just a simple semicolon it must mean something, right? So you awnser him and tell him the story and the meaning. He appreciates you shareing that with him. He also tells you how you can enter his room and will text you the code daily if you need someone to just kinda chill with and do whatever. He gets a blue fire one with yellow in the middle as a memorial to thr late ortho and the birth of the new one.

Lilia: I think he would've gotten one when he was younger, when drunk, on a dare by someone else he worked with. So he knows a bit about them, he probably put together the meaning of yours, so pushes Malleus and the boys to hangout with you and let's them know it's ok to ask about anything they wish to. He dosent need to know you story, he knows what you all need are friends. He'll also pop on whenever to just be a dad and check in

Malleus: I think he would be one of the first people you tell. He asks about it, wanting to get to know you better (and with Lilias support) so, you tell him your story. This worry him, he asks, if you even want to go back to a world that, let's that happen to you, if you stayed here, there are people who can help. You may either ponder on it, or just say, even tough I've struggled, I have those I love who are at home waiting for me... its when Malleus first develops some visable blot in ages. It goes away after a few days, but it worries those around him. When he overblots, he tries to make you a dream where you can be here and there, where you can be happy, and don't have to suffer. But... you leave. After the incident, you comfort him and show that everything needs time to heal, some wounds of yours are healed, others aren't. But time will heal them, along with being open and shareing with those you care about, like what you did when you told him. I think, malleus understands this. He decides on getting a matching one to you (even if you tell him not to) haveing his own version of it that is similar to yours but tailored to him, make him happy. He would also get one for Lilia, Silver, and Sebek. He'll do it for any friend that passes, and every time he gets a new retainer. It's to keep the ones he loves close to his heart, even if they aren't with him anymore. He will love them in spirit.

About your story edits again: I guess I was sort of wondering how you decide on style and why you choose certain details to tell certain parts of stories if that's not too confusing

i'm not sure exactly what you mean by style, but i'll answer in a few ways lol and if you have something specific let me know! sometimes (like the intro posts to tell me a story), i'd find a template i really liked and just wanted to work that in. when i did tell me a story especially i spent a lot of time looking at templates, looking for things that would help me showcase the characters as musicians. i was just super into seeing how creative people could be with templates and wanted to play with them! actually, same sort of thing with sigh no more- i found the social buddy app and wanted to play with creating texts and social media to tell a story.

for the lost princess of merope, i was learning how to gif so i did some of those (i don't really make gifs anymore, it's sooo hard, so much respect to those that do!). for the little puzzles, i thought about things i could reasonably make myself that wouldn't take too much time or effort on the part of my readers.

each character in both those stories have their own unique styles, and those really came from playing around on pinterest. a lot of times as i was making a board for a character, i'd find a certain color story would keep popping up (zoila for example, i'd get a lot of red and black). picking colors for each girl really helped me find a cohesive way to build a picspam.

then for tell me a story, i'd pick a genre of music for each character and then look for images that evoke that genre. i tried to pick both a mix of musical genres (because i find variety interesting) as well as a genre that would work with what i was trying to say about a character. for example, juno is a folk country artist who represents to me what country initially grew from- working class people expressing their trials, while leona is sort of a more commercial country that is very manufactured.

Do It Like That, the Summer Smash TOMORROW X TOGETHER Brought

Meaning Behind the Collaboration of TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers

In early June a soundless video snippet was released in which we see Ryan Tedder and TOMORROW X TOGETHER in a studio listening to what we can guess is a new track. Ryan Tedder is known as OneRepublic’s lead singer, but he is equally famous in the industry – perhaps even more so – as a producer and songwriter.

He contributed to Beyoncé’s “Halo” and Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” and he already has under his belt three Grammy Awards for Album of the Year for his work on “21” and “25” from Adele, and Taylor Swift’s “1989”. A few days ahead of that clip being posted, Tedder had teased on his Twitter account with a selfie at TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s US concert with the jesting text “Joining @TXT_members ??” One could sense from the tweet that his familiarity with the group was too great for this to be a simple shout-out. Indeed, that video clip itself had been captioned with “A big one is coming”, and we most certainly got that.

By mid June, TOMORROW X TOGETHER posted a group photo by a pool with the caption reading, “We go Together”. It’s clearly designed to remind us of the cover art of the album “Happiness Begins” released by Jonas Brothers in 2019, as was the text which happens to be the opening line to their hit song, “Sucker”. And what do you know, it also happens to have been written by Ryan Tedder. Finally, on June 22, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers officially announced their collaboration project “Do It Like That” which will be released on July 7.

Jonas Brothers is one of the most successful boy bands of the past two decades. It is not an overstatement to declare this quite a singular feat, especially for an American boy band. Their longevity and continued new music releases to this day since 2005 – despite disbanding and reuniting in between– is another uncommon feat. From 2007 to 2009, the band appeared mainly on the Disney Channel and solidified their position as the unquestionable heartthrob for teens and enjoyed some of their most glittering years during this time. The members went on to pursue solo careers for about a decade after which the brothers at last found their collective adult identity as a pop rock band. Their being family might be brought up to downplay their success as a group, but maintaining the band as teenage idol musicians and consistently evolving over time is no small feat. 

One of the biggest contributing factors of this successful artistic reinvention is “Sucker”. Not only did it make its debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, but it remains their sole single to have reached that pinnacle to this day. What’s even more remarkable is it held its position in the top 10 until August, earning itself the accolade of being one of the “Songs of The Summer” in 2019, alongside Post Malone’s “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).” While the title “Songs of the Summer” may not be an official concept, it holds significant weight in the industry. With summer traditionally being the season with much family time – especially outdoor activities – it’s the perfect season for music to become embedded in our collective memories and transcend time and space. Summer anthems become global megahits dominating airwaves everywhere and very likely go on to become still-beloved golden classics. We all know how “Livin’ La Vida Loca” returns every summer.

In fact, Billboard has been running a “Songs Of The Summer” chart since 2010. In the most recent years, “Sucker” still reigned as one of the most successful summer songs. Along with the likes of “Peaches”, “Levitating”, and “As It Was”, for the foreseeable future we are going to hear “Sucker” during the heatwave months on beaches, by pools, and in shopping malls and cafés.

The meeting of TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers for “Do It Like That” takes place like some learning-by-osmosis for a still fresh boy band that only debuted in 2019. “Do It Like That” has all the makings of a summer hit such as its danceable rhythm that’s bouncy yet chill, a hook that sinks in quick to reel you in fast, and chill and relatable lyrics. TOMORROW X TOGETHER is certainly one of the more successful K-Pop acts performing today, but adding to their loyal teen audience, acquiring universal appeal, and getting significant radio play are not easy tasks for any artist. “Do It Like That” presents an opportunity to clear all these challenges in one go. It’s especially apropos for TOMORROW X TOGETHER this summer as they gear up to make their summer festival rounds where a song like this really adds to their arsenal as a number that can get people vibing immediately regardless of whose fans happen to be in the crowd. 

As for the Jonas Brothers themselves, they have a massive 37-date North American tour planned. “Do It Like That” can be a nice follow-up to “Sucker” as it brings fresh blood to the group’s summer song catalog, especially since the song will bring in the broader K-Pop listenership. That is why the recent social media activity from the Jonas Brothers such as their “Excuse me BRUHH” TikTok with TOMORROW X TOGETHER that reenacts that meme-able moment from the film “Zoolander” and the adoption of a K-Pop industry move of releasing “concept photo” as part of their promotional material, all appear to be much more than just spur-of-the moment online humor. In short, “Do It Like That” is a definitive snapshot of how K-Pop’s most recent forays into the US market have evolved. It has a better understanding of what comprises the market's essence. With this insight, their moves are much more calibrated, thereby yielding opportunities for a mutually beneficial collaboration within the ecosystem. It’s a deft mix of the team’s musical color and K-Pop’s commercial cachet. This masterful positioning was also on display in last summer’s collaboration with iann dior who provided a direct line to the musical sensibilities of Gen Z, and now this summer TOMORROW X TOGETHER is aiming for the charts with Jonas Brothers. You don’t get to see a band like this every day.

I finally read Portfes on the en server and it's such a fun one! I really liked it. And so I was inspired to write a brief summary of how my OCs would be like in it (the ones that already had a class. I wasn't sure about Akshaya. If there's interest, I might think it more and add her too~)

Anyway, big text under the cut C:

Dillon: Class D (with Sebek, Malleus and Floyd). They keep sending him to do errands because he eats the cotton candy if he's at the food stand. He mostly just hangs around Sebek and chats otherwise. Malleus is amused with him because he isn't afraid of him at all and talks to him normally, while also looking at him with a weird admiration and calling him "Waka-sama-senpai". He's actually not too bad at dealing with the costumer because he's worked at the Monstro Lounge a lot. He also joins the mess Floyd makes with the huge cotton candy. He thinks it's the best idea ever too XD

Szi: Class A (With Adeuce, Yuu, Grim, Kalim, Silver, Rook and Leona). He acted all high and mighty as usual and they put him to do test churros. He did them terribly (he's bad at cooking of any kind). So they ended putting him to serve costumers, and he has 0 people skills so they took him out of that. In the end he ended up in charge of dealing with the cash since he never made a mistake in the change he had to give back. He was quite sad that Rook was mostly out of the stand because he was busy with the comitee. Either way, when he was around, he mostly stuck with him because he's his only friend from all the class A people.

Domas: Class C (With Azul, Jamil, and Vil). All his ideas got rejected and he was all grumpy and didn't want to cooperate. They didn't even let him help Jamil come up with the recipe, when he offered himself several times :C Still, when Azul or Jamil were distracted, he would go ahead and "direct" everyone else since he took that responsability. Thankfully they were making salads, so no arson incident happened(?) xD

Dalia: Class E (With Jade, Riddle, Trey and Lilia). She was happy to be able to do this with Riddle and Trey, two of her best friends. She helped them here and there. She wasn't good with cooking, but she helped as assistant or serving the food if needed. She also finds Lilia hilarious and knows him a bit from spending time with Silver. She only observed and laughed like Jade when Lilia was being a menace. It really is comedy gold in her eyes (but she never tried the food). By the end, she told Trey he has to make that chowder for her often because she really likes seafood and it was extra yummy~

Oriol: Class B (With Epel, Jack, Ruggie, Cater and Idia). He quickly offered to help Idia make the waffle machine. He really likes Ignihyde and wanted to get closer to Idia to learn and talk about machines so this was perfect. He tried to refuse his help but Oriol insited and just inserted himself in the project. Idia still did most of it, but they became somewhat(?) closer after that (Oriol's opinion). During the actual festival, he could've manned the waffle machine too, since he helped build it, but he refused. It was too hot, he couldn't be all sweaty all day! He had to look pretty for the festival!! Instead, he mostly floated around the stand and tried to catch people's attention and do promo. He managed to bring quite a lot of costumers.

Yuuki: Just date day with Jack(?) xD

CHAPTER NINE—WE’LL SMOKE THE BLIGHTER OUT!

“In return for voiding all contracts made within this recent school year and a ban on seeking out students for deals, I get to keep my business, my reputation, and I still have free reign to make more contracts so long as people personally come to me for them.” Each and every word that passed through Azul’s mouth must have felt like sandpaper scrubbing his throat raw. For a child of the sea, Riddle knew that it must have been painful. 

However, despite his pride at knowing that he had won, Riddle could understand. It hurt having to confront his inner demons and acknowledge that he wasn’t perfect after his Overblot. It was especially hard knowing that his mother’s way wasn’t the only way. 

Apologies tasted bitter on his tongue, and it was an uphill battle convincing himself that reparations were needed and he had to do the majority of the work. 

Azul would learn—maybe not the lesson that was intended for him, but he would learn that he couldn’t count on just his contracts. 

“Correct. We also have to address that you have not offered compensation for the Prefect’s help yesterday.”

Azul’s lips pinched before an overly saccharine smile spread across his features. "Ah, but I fear that I have already compensated the Prefect in full plus interest. After all, I have not only listened to your demands, Riddle, but also had to deal with Leona's complaints as well."

"No," Riddle shook his head. "No interest. Besides, you still need to—"

The Prefect tugged on the sleeve of his dorm uniform, the tentative touch causing Riddle to look at them in confusion. They whispered, "Just Jack. I got everything I wanted."

Riddle kept their gazes locked, making sure that he hadn't misheard or misinterpreted their words before facing Azul once more. The Octavinelle Housewarden was studying them with that unfathomable gaze of his, as if he was trying to decipher how their relationship came to be and if he could possibly jeopardize or capitalize off it. Not that it mattered, Riddle hoped that the Prefect would be smart and refrain from ever interacting with cecaelia unless it was required.

"Add that to the contract."

Under his focused gaze, the dark lettering upon the golden parchment began to lengthen and stretch, a flurry of letters spreading across the pages as if an invisible hand were writing them. Riddle had always been praised for the quick, but ruthless efficiency of his Unique Magic. A simple evocation and he could render any magic user practically helpless. However, with Azul's power, his required more concentration and precise detailing. Just like its master, the power was intricately detailed and required a lot of forethought and bargaining before one could arrive at the conclusion that they could engage with the Unique Magic.

A snap of Azul's fingers. "Are we now satisfied?"

Riddle nodded an affirmative while the Prefect eked out a high pitched "Yes!" to which Floyd snickered.

Leona had long since hung up, citing that he trusted them to get the bare bones of what he wanted too. Surprisingly, Azul had aided Riddle in saying that he should be present as well, or at the very least leave behind concrete instructions through text or something, but Leona had simply laughed before hanging up. Presumably, the lion beastman had also turned off his phone and decided to sleep (oh my, was it almost one in the morning, already? this was not going to end well for Riddle or for anyone else who was included in this strange endeavor). Furthermore, Riddle had checked Magicam and several other group chats before he came to the conclusion that his theory was true.

Leona was not active in any of them.

Had Leona left the negotiations up to Riddle and the Prefect because he had trusted them? Or was it because he truly did not care after making sure that he had gotten all that he wanted from the so-called Cephalopunk?

Ah, the intricacies of such a lazy, hands off Housewarden never failed to impress.

"Now that all matters have been settled, I believe that our business has finally reached its conclusion." A pen that looked like it was made out of a fish's skeleton materialized in the air in front of the Prefect. "So, do we have a deal?"

There was a slight hesitation where the Prefect's eyes flickered from the pen to Riddle, but in the end, they made the ultimate decision to sign the document. Their strokes were shaky, almost scratch-like. Their handwriting was more than likely a product of the tense atmosphere, of how much was resting on this one decision.

And then, as the Prefect fumbled handing the pen back to its master, it was finished.

Floyd took that opportunity to slump over the couch, his tall, lithe form spilling over Azul until his head landed in Azul's lap. If his uniform had been rumpled back when his shift had first started, it was now completely ruined. Several buttons were left unbuttoned, his bowtie was nowhere to be found, and his hat had fallen into Jade's waiting hand.

Miraculously, Jade had remained upright for the majority of negotiations, even if it had taken at least another forty five minutes for them to finish. There was not a trace of weariness upon his features, but Riddle suspected the obviously fake smile he sent their way was tinged with a seed of malice. 

“If that will be all, everyone?”

As Jade gestured for Riddle and the Prefect to follow him out of the VIP room, the Heartslabyul Housewarden noticed that the Prefect wasn't budging from their seat. In fact, upon closer inspection, it appeared as if the first year was studiously staring at Azul, a contemplative look in their eyes. Had they forgotten to include something in the contract?

"Prefect..." Riddle warned. Patience was a virtue, yes, but that didn't mean that Azul was willing to invest even more time indulging them. If anything, they had gotten lucky because of Leona's interference and Riddle's insistence that they wear down the Octavinelle Housewarden before finally delving into the meat of the matter.

"Just a minute." The Prefect nervously smiled at Azul. "It's not another proposition or anything like that, I promise."

Azul exchanged a half irritated, half bemused smirk at his fellow Housewarden.

"If the Prefect wants to waste more of my time—ahem, propose another business opportunity—then who are we to stop them? Perhaps what they'll say will actually be beneficial... unlike what we've been doing the past few hours." That last part was hushed, but Riddle and the rest of the room heard it all the same.

Even when well dressed and well mannered, Azul could never help himself when it came to spewing out insults.

"It's not…” The Prefect chewed the inside of their mouth. “I'm not going to talk about business. I just wanted to let you know something."

Floyd abruptly rose from the dead, his head nearly hitting Azul's chin as he sat up. "You threatenin' Azul, Shrimpy?"

The Prefect giggled, the sharp edges of anxiety leaving traces behind. "You can stay behind Floyd, but I would prefer it if Riddle and Jade left."

Strange, but doable.

Riddle patted the Prefect on the forearm before heading out with the aforementioned twin. Before Riddle left the room entirely, he was met with the sight of the Prefect leaning over the coffee table, their figure stooped over as they leaned over to whisper in Azul’s ear. Unfortunately, before Riddle could make heads or tails of what his underclassman was saying, his view was obscured by the door. In no mood to be any more polite than he had to be, Riddle did not hesitate in giving Jade the stink eye. 

Despite the intensity of his sour expression, Jade paid him no mind. Instead, the slimy eel stood with his back flush against the door, his eyes closed in concentration. All the while, the customer service smile on his face never faltered. 

"I can't imagine you would be able to overhear what they're discussing."

Jade's sharp smile became sharper still, the tips of his teeth nearly grazing his bottom lip. "I cannot," he confirmed. "Azul charmed these doors to be soundproof whenever he was present. Without him, it would be as if the door had never existed."

Riddle withheld the urge to roll his eyes. Of course Jade would end up doing something so suspicious even if he stood nothing to gain by it. If anything, he was probably stationed by the door to freak out the Prefect and to annoy Azul and Riddle.

Was there ever an end to Jade’s love of chaos. 

No sooner did that thought cross his mind did the door open once more. There was the sound of shocked laughter (Floyd's) followed by the rapid pattering of the Prefect's footsteps walking past the door before shutting it behind them, cutting off Floyd's laughter when it was about to reach an ear splitting pitch.

Jade, with his hand pressed upon his chest, asked, "And what have you discussed with Azul that only Floyd was allowed to hear?"

If Riddle didn't know any better, he would have thought that Jade was jealous of his brother. Often, he was given the impression that it was Floyd who often nipped at the heels of his twin when it came to acknowledgement, even if he wanted to be seen as his own person.

"Oh..." The Prefect backed away from Jade, who still stood rather close to the door, and by extension, the first year. "You can talk to them if you like? It's not like it's a secret, I just felt that what I had to say was embarrassing."

Jade glanced at Riddle, confused delight more than apparent on his angular features.

"Oh? I appreciate the honesty, dear Prefect. I'll be sure to indulge my curiosity at a later time."

After that exchange, the three of them strode down the hallways, the sight of the dark ocean adding to the surreality of what Riddle felt. Not only had he managed to outwit Azul at his own game, but he managed to wrangle Leona to be part of the plot! Ah... but there was no way that he could have done any of this, ventured so far out of his comfort zone on a whim.

He would have to thank the Prefect later and praise them for their insight concerning the Savanaclaw Housewarden. What had the Headmage call them again? A beast tamer? He would have to research that topic at a later date… 

From time to time, if Riddle's eyes rested on a certain area for a beat longer than usual, he could see something stir or swim away too quickly for his human eyes to follow. While his past meetings with the Octavinelle Housewardens were usually scheduled after classes or early mornings during the weekends, Riddle could say for certain that he had never seen the underwater dorm look so peaceful or so foreboding in the dead of night. It was in the wee hours of the morning, yet he wondered if he could stay just a while longer, even if he was still at risk for getting into another unnecessary altercation with the Leech twins, just so that he could admire the view.

Beside him, the Prefect yawned behind one of their hands. It was a slight sound and ahead of them, Jade turned around slightly to give them a questioning look, almost as if he were confused by what he had heard.

"If you would like," Riddle murmured, knowing full well that Jade could still hear him, "you can stay in Heartslabyul. It would be a journey getting back to Ramshackle, especially in the dark."

Stumbling over their words, the Prefect said, "O-oh! I've heard that there aren't any spots available considering your... high standards."

Jade coughed, the theatrics not lost on any of them. "Well, this may not be my place to say, but Octavinelle does have empty dorm rooms available... for a fee, of course! Would you like to hear our hourly rates?"

"Not a chance," Riddle cut in before Jade tried to coerce a sales pitch down his first year's throat. "Besides, you'll find that Heartslabyul can be quite accommodating. Hospitality and reciprocity are some of the common themes that you'll find throughout the Queen's rules!"

"Ah, but wouldn't it be better if I made the decision on my own, Housewarden?" Riddle glanced just in time to see the Prefect grin a grin that was far too impish for Riddle’s liking. A smile of a troublemaker, that one. “The night is still young and—Okay! Okay! I’m kidding!”

The walk back was filled with a far more lighthearted atmosphere. Riddle didn’t know how the Prefect did it, but by the time they had finally entered the portal back to the Hall of Mirrors, his cheeks hurt from smiling too much and even Jade bid them goodbye with a stifled chuckle. 

“Prefect? Before we sleep, let’s head to the kitchens. I think we should celebrate.”

He would deal with the whole bed issue later.

Now my headcanons are based on my personal insert and what I think both parties will do.

Beware Book 6 Mentions

Example, I totally would’ve thrown a chair at a robot in pure rage at both situation and the fact people I care about were in danger.

This accounts for feeling the build up of stress, like being tempted to slap a few people or tempted to punch someone or something. Not doing it, but damn tempting.

Personally I’d also probably fall for either Leona or Malleus, leaning towards Leona. I won’t put romantic stuff in this one, but I’ll make something separate later on.

I’m currently on the way to turning 20 in October so I’m putting that as what’s there. While my wit texting insert is 19 still.

Heartslabyul

Riddle

Gets plenty of hugs from Kirs due to his past with consent to hug of course. Takes a while for him to get use to it completely

Enjoys another being shorter than himself yet older

Gets them in on punishments for the duo when they start breaking a lot of rules that aren’t small

Kirs treats him like he’s 17 and reminds him not everything has to be perfect

Generally get along when he mellows out

He still finds Kirs breaking very specific rules a lot since they don’t know what they are and aren’t from the dorm

He enjoys being taller than them

Book 6 : Has only seen Kirs truly mad once, Idia surely was just the tipping point after everything that happened already, but he didn’t expect to see that amount of pure rage

Trey

They’re friends and talk casually

Bake together sometimes and when they’ve been invited to a unbirthday

Helped teach them the rules surrounding their parties so they’d remember those at the least

Sometimes treats them younger than due to appearance, but backs off if he’s reminded that they’re older than him

going into this project, I was aware I have no experience sewing but the choice in medium was intentional. I wanted to work in something that was considered “women’s work” but I also wanted this project to intentionally document my learning of this skill, the act of teaching myself to sew would be some kind of performance art within itself.

my materials would also be very intentional.

both my mum and my paternal gran are able to sew, hence why I never found it necessary to learn. with the idea of the learning being intentional I didn’t want to just purchase a sewing started kit from amazon and go from there, I wanted to start with the kit that had fixed so many of my clothes throughout my whole life so I politely asked my mum if I could borrow her supplies and she agreed.

this is my mums humble sewing kit, it’s not elaborate or excessive but it’s been the kit my mum has used my whole life, for as long as I remember. any time I had a rip or tear, needed a name sewn into my school uniform, or had a fatal injury to a teddy, my mum would open the bottom drawer and pull this little tub out.

note the “vintage” needles, her favourite needle laced into the thread she last used, and various bits of thread saved in case they were ever useful.

the selection of colours are also interesting, my mum never bought a kit, she just bought thread when she needed it so in there she has various greens that were bought for sewing my dads army uniform/badges, white for school shirts, navy for school blazers, a burgundy for brownie uniforms, and purple (my mums favourite colour).

there is also an eclectic selection of objects in there including school badges, screws (?), and a foreign coin. I’m not sure where any of these came from and I don’t imagine my mum would know either.

now I had my materials, it was time to learn!

while I would love to sit with my mum and have her teach me to sew, that wasn’t possible. my mum struggles a lot with chronic pain and various symptoms from medication and mental illness, including shaky hands which means fine motor skills like sewing and incredibly challenging for her. this is another reason learning to sew is so important to me.

since my mum wasn’t able to teach me I went to this next best thing…someone else’s mum on youtube!

I was also intentional with the fabrics I used for sewing, I didn’t want this project to create any waste and was set on using what I had in hand like so many generations of women before me would’ve done.

my initial idea for learning to sew was to sew together tears/rips so once I learned a simple stitch and a back stitch, I made some small cuts in the canvas I was working on and attempted to sew these pieces together without any tutorials, as i said before, I wanted every detail of this body of work to be intentional and thought through with purpose. I wanted to learn a few simple stitches and then go on to teach myself the rest, again, just as the generations of women before me have done.

Here is how the stitches turned out.

I think it’s visible from these development pieced that I don’t really know how to sew and that’s exactly what I wanted.

There is no “finished product” feel and you can see my loose stitches and fumbling work. I think this gives my work more feel and personality within the context of this project. You can see that I’m a beginner and that I’m self taught, to me you can almost see me fumbling and pricking myself in the finger countless time to achieve this simple stitch.

Moving past this, I feel like I had my back stitch maybe not mastered but I’m confident I know what I’m doing and I a work with this stitch.

Knowing I wanted this project to involve a lot of text, the natural next step to me was to practise the alphabet.

While doing this, continuing to use the needle and thread I borrowed from my mum, Leona (a friend and studio peer), introduced me to embroidery thread. She showed me the difference in thickness and how the threads can be pulled apart to experiment with how thick you want the thread.

Leona even let me take a long piece to use over the weekend as practise, so that’s what I did.

I even chose to be intentional with the way I learned. I chose to practise as I sat with my mum on a weekend afternoon, we watched TV, drank tea, and ate biscuits as we chatted and i was sewing. My mum was even able to give me some tips as I worked.

You can very clearly see me experiment with the thickness of the thread and learn how to work with things like curves and odd shapes.

It was at this point I felt comfortable enough to begin working on more polished and theme-based pieces.

i like to think that Yujin secretly enjoys being depended on. she’s not super physically affectionate and she’s also very socially awkward, but it makes her happy when she can help other people (especially in Twisted Wonderland, where she can’t help but feel like she’s imposing — even though it’s literally not her fault that she ended up there).

the first year group catches on after awhile, and they (mostly Ace, Deuce, Epel and Ortho. Sebek insists he needs no help from a “magicless mortal”, and Jack never can really come up with an excuse) all try to get Yujin to help them with whatever lol

with Ace, it’s mostly him asking Yujin to come to his basketball games to cheer him on. if he’s made a score, he’ll grin and say it’s because “big sis Yujin” was there to cheer him on; although, we’ll ignore the fact that Jamil insists that Ace is even more distracted when Yujin does go lol (Floyd uses these moments to get competitive with Ace for no good reason)

with Deuce, it usually involves going to Sam’s shop together, or helping him become an honour student, or talking about his mom. sometimes he’ll include Yujin at Heartslabyul’s Unbirthday parties, or he’ll send her some treats he and Trey made together. just little things that gets Yujin out of Ramshackle during their free time.

with Epel, it’s often him giving Yujin things from Harveston, like the latest batch of apples/apple products! admittedly, one of Yujin’s love languages is gift-receiving (and gift giving! but she hardly has a thaumark to spare while at NRC so she can’t do much there sigh), something anyone close to her hasn’t missed. also, i like to think that Epel visits her at Ramshackle and just lets his accent loose. without Vil or Rook to correct him, and without fear of Yujin snitching on him (she’s no snitch lol). just being able to let off steam and speak comfortably — even if Yujin doesn’t always understand — does Epel a huge favour, and Yujin’s glad she could help <3

with Ortho, it’s usually things related to his brother. after all, seeing Idia happy makes him happy too! it’s usually things like playing games together (either physically or simply online). Ortho himself, however, will sometimes go to Yujin for advice on matters about being more human-like (this is after book 6’s events). he’ll say something like “i’ve always wanted to do x with classmates! will you come with me?”, just inviting her along. that way, they both feel happy and included <3

with Jack, there’s not much he feels he can offer. he’s a lone wolf (literally), and he doesn’t feel comfortable pretending to need help. i feel like he wouldn’t really reach out to Yujin much until after she and Leona began seeing each other more. Jack learns from Ruggie that Leona’s attention is always snatched whenever the prefect’s name is mentioned, and Jack’s quick to catch on that Yujin feels the same way about Leona. so whenever Leona’s giving Savanaclaw a hard time, it’s a quick text message to Yujin, who ends up saving the day. it’s not much but it’s honest work lol

finally, we have Sebek. as mentioned previously, Sebek doesn’t usually ask for help. he’s supposed to be Malleus’ dependable guard, after all! how could a magic-less human possibly be of help to him?! … is what he says as a front. Sebek and Yujin don’t interact as much as the latter does with the other first years, but the prefect hanging around the stables doesn’t go unnoticed by this half-fae. sometimes he’ll demand ask her for help with the horses; he’ll insist it’s on Riddle or Silver’s behalf though. i also like to think that, since Sebek is a nocturnal fairy, he has methods of falling asleep at night so he can keep up with his day activities. whenever he notices bags under Yujin’s eyes, he yells offers her advice.

some second and third years do catch on too! specifically: Cater, Trey, Leona, Jamil, Azul, Jade, Vil, Rook, and Lilia.

Jamil is mostly indifferent to Yujin in this regard. poor boy has his hands full with Kalim already. Cater and Trey notice mostly because they see their juniors running about with Yujin over the most simplest things. Trey has his own duties to attend to as vice-housewarden, and Cater knows that Yujin is much more introverted than he is, but they both try to squeeze Yujin into their plans when possible :)

Azul, Jade and Ruggie are the types who try to take this trait to their advantage lol. Azul and Jade particularly with their Mostro Lounge duties (free worker? why of course!), while for Ruggie it’s usually for snacks, but Yujin knows to keep an eye out for them. however, if Ruggie brings up Leona, it’s all over for her.

Vil and Rook notice it (especially after book 5 + after they notice Epel growing closer with Yujin), but they don’t do much about it either. personally, i feel like Vil wouldn’t want to indulge in “falsely” needing someone’s help. he’s also like the Fairest Queen, and is often independent. sometimes, though rarely, he may invite Yujin over to test out some new products he received, but that’s it really. and Rook follows the Queen, of course. he’s content observing stalking Yujin and Leona when possible lol

i feel like Lilia would use this to try and get Yujin and Malleus to befriend each other more, not knowing that (for the first few books) they already had become acquainted. Malleus learns to integrate himself into society more, and the lonesome student from another world gains a reliable friend to depend on; it’s a win-win situation in Lilia’s eyes.

to Leona, it’s a whole different scenario. he doesn’t like depending on people without knowing their true motives (he knows Ruggie’s, which is why he trusts him enough), and he probably wouldn’t like going out of his way to fake needing help or attention from someone else; especially if that other person was someone who keeps making his chest feel all funny. but after he begins noticing Yujin more and more, he can’t help but feel irked that the little rabbit isn’t paying attention to him! he doesn’t know what to do though… after they begin dating though, he feels like he has some more freedom. Yujin is hesitant on physical affection, but she’s also incredibly touch-starved; she just needs to feel a very specific level of closeness to be able to enjoy being touched. it takes awhile, but Leona’s soon able to be the first person in ages who’s able to get Yujin to fully relax in a someone else’s presence. suddenly Leona’s occupying Ramshackle’s couch or the guest room, or Yujin’s off to give Savanaclaw a visit. Leona likes telling Yujin how she makes his naps soooo much better, how he’s able to fall asleep faster (even though it’s literally his talent), and how his life seems so much better. it’s cheesy, but all true. Yujin relishes in knowing that someone sees her this way, and Leona is content with finding a way to make Yujin happy.

Free AI Video Generators Are Nearing a Crucial Tipping Point

You may have noticed some impressive video memes made with AI in recent weeks. Harry Potter reimagined as a Balenciaga commercial and nightmarish footage of Will Smith eating spaghetti both recently went viral. They highlight how quickly AI’s ability to create video is advancing, as well as how problematic some uses of the technology may be.

These videos remind me of the moment AI image-making tools became widespread last year, when programs like Craiyon (formerly known as DALL-E Mini) let anyone conjure up recognizable, if crude and often surreal, images, such as surveillance footage of babies robbing a gas station, Darth Vadar courtroom sketches, and Elon Musk eating crayons. 

Craiyon was an open source knockoff of the then carefully restricted DALL-E 2 image generator from OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. The tool was the first to show AI’s ability to take a text prompt and turn it into what looked like real photos and human-drawn illustrations. Since then, DALL-E has become open to everyone, and programs like Midjourney and Dream Studio have developed and honed similar tools, making it relatively trivial to craft complex and realistic images with a few taps on a keyboard.

As engineers have tweaked the algorithmic knobs and levers behind these image generators, added more training data, and paid for more GPU chips to run everything, these image-making tools have become incredibly good at faking reality. To take a few examples from a subreddit dedicated to strange AI images, check out Alex Jones at a gay pride parade or the Ark of the Covenant at a yard sale. 

Widespread access to this technology, and its sophistication, forces us to rethink how we view online imagery, as was highlighted after AI-made images purporting to show Donald Trump’s arrest went viral last month. The incident led Midjourney to announce that it would no longer offer a free trial of its service—a fix that might deter some cheapskate bad actors but leaves the broader problem untouched.

As WIRED’s Amanda Hoover writes this week, algorithms still struggle to generate convincing video from a prompt. Creating many individual frames is computationally expensive, and as today’s jittering and sputtering videos show, it is hard for algorithms to maintain enough coherence between them to produce a video that makes sense. 

AI tools are, however, getting a lot more adept at editing videos. The Balenciaga meme, along with versions referencing Friends and Breaking Bad, were made by combining a few different AI tools, first to generate still images and then to add simple animation effects. But the end result is still impressive. 

Runway ML, a startup that’s developing AI tools for professional image and video creation and editing, this week launched a new more efficient technique for applying stylistic changes to videos. I used it to create this dreamlike footage of my cat, Leona, walking through a “cloudscape” from an existing video in just a few minutes.

Different machine learning techniques open new possibilities. A company called Luma AI, for instance, is using a technique known as neural radiance fields to turn 2D photographs into detailed 3D scenes. Feed a few snapshots into the company’s app, and you’ll have a fully interactive 3D scene to play with. 

These clips suggestt we are at an inflection point for AI video making. As with AI image generation, a growing rush of memes could be followed by significant improvements in the quality and controllability of AI videos that lodge the technology in all sorts of places. AI may well become a muse for some auteurs. Runway’s tools were used by the visual effects artists working on the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once. Darren Aronofsky, director of The Whale, Black Swan, and Pi is also a fan of Runway. 

But you only need to look at how advanced images from Midjourney and Dream Studio are now to sense where AI video is heading—and how difficult it may become to distinguish real clips from fake ones. Of course, people can already manipulate videos with existing technology, but it’s still relatively expensive and difficult to pull off.

The rapid advances in generative AI may prove dangerous in an era when social media has been weaponized and deepfakes are propagandists' playthings. As Jason Parham wrote for WIRED this week, we also need to seriously consider how generative AI can recapture and repurpose ugly stereotypes.

For now, the instinct to trust video clips is mostly reliable, but it might not be long before the footage we see is less solid and truthful than it once was.

[TWST AU]: Self-Aware AU, but with logical takes.

[Synopsis]: In this timeline, MC/Yuu/[Y/N] was playing TWST one day and then something off-putting happens.

[(A/N)]: I know. This AU has been done multiple times with most of them being…possessive. I decided to try the concept, but with my own take on it. Also MC/Yuu/[Y/N] is around 16-18 years old in this AU.

MC/Yuu/[Y/N] is just your ordinary gamer who loves the game, Disney: Twisted Wonderland.

They played that game almost everyday ever since it was first released.

They get to experience everything from leveling up the characters (especially their favorites who may or may not be bias towards) to collecting items.

MC/Yuu/[Y/N] fell in love with the storyline and laugh at the humor whenever something ironic and sarcastic happens.

All fun and literal games until one day something happens.

As MC/Yuu/[Y/N] logs into TWST and expected a character greeting them with a gift each day, there wasn’t anybody on the screen.

They thought it’s probably a glitch. It happens.

Shrugging off the weird occurrence, they continue the game as usual, leveling up the characters and winning in battles.

As they were reading through a chapter, something slips up.

Ace Trappola, everyone’s favorite little bastard accidentally mentioned how MC/Yuu/[Y/N] look stupidly cute today with their new haircut.

They freaked out a little.
