Chris would have pulled up my file,when I started watching Cfv, what I ate on February 23rd,and every person I have ever interacted within the first five minutes, while venemetly denying anything I wrote even though he's trying to figure out how I knew about it.

Explanations under the cut

Ardeth Bay (The Mummy/Returns): Oded Fehr, at least in the movies, is about as close as what Galen looks like.

Dean Winchester (SPN): Hate to out myself as an SPN girlie (gender neutral), but the teenaged fixation picks you, you don’t pick it. Still, Dean was formative for me, so he influenced Galen’s personality. They give off cool, confident facades to cover their deep traumas, but they’re also goofy, smart, and good with children. An overly flirty persona masks a craving for emotional intimacy. Early childhood was marked by a period of being nonverbal. They both know how to work on the streets, get money that way, and how to falsify identities, though Galen is more about practical crime than paranormal phenomenon.

Finnick Odair (The Hunger Games): Effortless charm and friendliness and conversationalist, performance of always being relaxed, smiling, and an open book. While Galen is not sex trafficked, he had a scare with it and has lost allies to it. He willingly puts himself into sex work for both its financial benefits and ability to learn secrets.

Leon S. Kennedy (ReEvil2/4): Except make him a criminal instead of a cop (ACAB). He’s the Leon to Will’s Ada, just if their professions were switched. He’s able to keep his composure in most circumstances, being compassionate and mostly objective, though he is a bit more opportunistic as well as playful. Similarly, he also tries to strike alliances where he can.

Kaworu Nagisa (NGE): Galen was originally a very positive, smiley individual. He still is, just far more toned down because he’d be one to realize acting like Kaworu is very off-putting (as a teen when I created him, I didn’t know that yet).

Asuka Langley Souryuu (NGE): Red-head. Finds self-worth in feeling like he’s needed (not to the extent that Asuka does since she feels her worth in being the best). Puts up a confident front to make people think he’s fine and in control. Galen is more mature than Asuka and doesn’t have the same parental trauma, so it’ll be different. He is confident, but confidence is not the absence of timidity, insecurity, or uncertainty. It’s an overcoming of that. He’ll have his moments.

Kaz Brekker (Six of Crows): Galen is not nearly as ruthless or cruel, though he has his moments, so it’s more of Kaz’s knack for detail, opportunism, and cunning. Though he’s from the streets, he is cultured and an appreciator of art.

Feitan Porter (HxH): Not really anything specific about the character. Just circumstances. Feitan grew up on an island where trash is dumped, along with the other founding members of the Phantom Troupe, and he doesn’t know his birthday. Galen was born in an underground (literal and figurative) network where undesirables are dumped and doesn’t know when he was born.

Twisted-Vanguard: If TWST Boys plays CFV - Ignihyde Edition

We return to this series now that JP Episode 6 had ended. So, this will contain a spoiler of Ignihyde Arc. But I think my early matchup for these two characters is quite fitting.

To premise this: It had been a long time since I’ve played Vanguard and my knowledge is very limited, so there will be some mistakes. I’m focusing on using the original and G-series installation, not the V-series or OverDress because I’m a boomer. For this matching, I’ll be using the TWST boys’ unique magic to make my job easier, but for those who hadn’t got their UM, there will be a bonus section.

So, let’s stand up, Vanguard! Ignihyde Edition!

1. Idia Shroud

Clan Chosen: Granblue

Granblue's playstyle focuses on reviving units from the drop zone, whether from mixing cards to increase the number of revivals or soul blasting for stronger allies, even gaining special advantages if a certain card is in the drop zone. 

To this day, I would say that Idia's unique magic may cause a bit of confusion (like putting aside the apparent hereditary nature). But, let's use what we know on the surface. As we know "Gate to Underworld" can open a gate at S.T.Y.X. Headquarters. Like, just from the name and how Ignihyde Arc unfolds, there's a play around life and death. So, it's only natural to give Idia a clan that also has a tie to the 'underworld' or in Vanguard we called it the 'drop zone' to revive cards back to the field.

Clan Chosen: Dimensional Police

Dimensional Police's playstyle focuses on giving mot attacks power to the vanguard and unlocking their skills, which trigger upon having a certain amount of power at the attack. 

Ortho is probably the only character that I would understand if he doesn't have a unique magic (he's a robot and the real Ortho died). So, taking what we know about his robotic nature, how can I not give him a clan that's basically Gundam? Really. That might be the only reason. And considering that Ortho's first answer to a couple of problems is blowing stuff up, I'll give him a clan where powering up the vanguard becomes the focus.

Rewrite {RЯ} Яeverse [Link Joker OP, Override ver.]

It took a long time to finally get Vegas sorted after jumping laptops [a newer version at that!], and longer to hoist out of a very deep rut, but the fire came back to write a few weeks back, and had been wanting to do something with the song since seeing some wonderful Fate/Grand Order MADs, which wound up leaning on a lot [or replicating, in a lot of places]. Also a couple of notes beneath cut might explain some things. It’s been too long and two days work paid off with this, so hope you enjoy!

- Since putting together the rough plan for Legion Mate, came to the decision that Team Crown is switching out for a new team of characters called Team Chaldeaus, inspired and based upon Mashu Kyrielite, Romani Archaman and Olga Marie Animusphere of Fate/Grand Order, as a testament to how much the game has helped me muddle through the last two years, hence their appearance.

- Akari’s place in the text roster is down to borrowing Misaki’s OTT deck so she can learn Vanguard. Similarly, Asaka with Aichi and Emi being down to their being cousins in Override’s verse. Much of the OP leans towards the Miyaji counterattack and subsequent climax of the war against Link Joker, so somewhat envision it as an equivalent to Break Your Spell’s usage.

- Want to overhaul the latter part of Legion Mate’s plan (between VoidAichi’s return to the sanctuary and the final fight, pacing in between feels far too ), and wasn’t happy with it when uploading, but wanted a copy of what felt right until then and to just move onto getting stuck in writing again.

- Have small bits and pieces in mind for something for Gear Crisis/Stride Gate, but it’s up in the air whether it’d actually get written. Leaning towards it not likely happening due to taking far too long with progress and a myriad of other reasons

- Tokoha, Mamoru and Shion’s role won’t be touched in said shake-up. The Anjous’ featuring in the OP was one of the things the prompted giving this a go now. The line-up for the Messiah Scramble will change though to include Mamoru, Satoru Enishi and Mashu; there’s an actual full roster with real brackets now, the uploaded plan might not be fixed, but the document with all the plans in will be, so there’s still some secrets for the far-off future.

Hoping that life is finally settling down & not throwing curve-balls so can keep trying to get back onto feet and make some headway with things after far too long.

@blasterblades: a party had been planned in leon’s honor, set on the island that leon was renting. jillian and sharlene took care of keeping him occupied for the day, taking him out shopping. they had leon try on many outfits and when they noticed he liked a particular one, they bought it for him. “it’s your birthday, so let us spoil you for once, leon-sama!” was what jillian said when leon tried to object. they wanted to show how much he meant to them. he was like their big brother, he had always been watching over them. “try this one on too, leon-sama!” sharlene smiled and shoved yet another dress into leon’s hands.

after some time had passed, they headed back. aichi had texted jillian and let him know everything was ready. sharlene was excited for the party, but tried not to seem too excited (though it was hard to hide it). she just hoped leon didn’t pick up on it. when they made it back, sharlene practically rushed leon to open the door. when the door opened, a loud “happy birthday!” was heard from the many people inside, along with the popping of party poppers. “happy birthday, leon-sama! it’s time for your real birthday celebration!” jillian grinned and nudged him inside.

                                  leon always felt modest on his birthday -- he didn’t want people to go out of their way for him, especially not now when he was in the position to spoil himself ( not that he would ). on the other hand, jillian and sharlene always did whatever they could to celebrate leon’s birthday. they always worried about not doing enough, but the fact that they even remembered was more than enough for leon. still, he let them take him out shopping, let them treat him, knowing that they could afford it. he wouldn’t act spoiled, though; he’d just enjoy himself without asking for anything. window shopping was fun on its own, even though jillian and sharlene saw right through him and bought him things regardless. being the center of attention for something other than vanguard or the souryuu foundation was a nice change. 

                                                  he didn’t have a clue about a surprise party until he watched sharlene’s face grow more and more excited and she tried to hide her nervous energy. leon didn’t say anything for her and jillian’s sakes. leon opened the door at sharlene’s insistence, and even though he shouldn’t have been surprised at a surprise party he figured was happening, he found himself feeling giddy. “ ... thank you, all of you. ”
