Yeah, I know it’s a shame that my boy didn’t deserve it, but I’m still really proud of Anna Kendrick because she nailed her Troll so well for all these years. Congratulations to her, by the way! 😍🥰💖

definitely fucked when the Netflix movie about a talking geriatric lizard voiced by Adam Sandler has better storytelling, better animation, and just overall more love in its creation than Disney's 100 year anniversary film

Best of 2023 Animation (both movies and TV shows). Or at least the best animated projects I've seen in 2023.
In no particular order:
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Nimona
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
Four Souls of Coyote (Hungarian title: Kojot négy lelke)
Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget
Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken
Leo
Kiff
Hailey's on It
Hilda Season 3
Disney: Once Upon a Studio
The Owl House: Watching and Dreaming
Wish
Here's to hoping 2024 will be full of awesome Animated Projects too!

So I found this trailer online. Apparently, it's an animated musical comedy that seems to be a blend of Ratatouille and Stand and Deliver. And despite the fact that it's an Adam Sandler movie, it appears...dare I say it...interesting. I may have a look at this when it comes out, and I encourage you to do the same. At the very least, this trailer piques your curiosity.

Almost a year since the Rise movie came out. Felt like gushing about a scene, and I was wondering if you could give your reflective thoughts and feelings about the scene in Rise where they get their mystic ninpo back? From Leo apologizing to Krangified!Raph while his brothers are potentially dying cause of Kraang, only for Raph to start breaking free, followed by Leo getting caught and inspiring his brothers to fight back, which causes everyone to start breaking free as their power surges back, and everyone kicks butt to Kraang as they proudly proclaim they are “The TEENAGE! MUTANT! NINJA! TURTLES!” *such a great scene!🤩

Have you ever watched a movie and it was everything you wanted it to be at that moment, where ever second was a feast for your soul, filling in the void that you didn’t know you had, and was a joy from start to finish, where you were laughing, crying, and feeling the pain and triumphs of every character at every moment, and when it ended, you were heartbroken because it was so wonderful and now it was over?
That was every second of the Rise movie for me. It was my favorite film in 2022.
Spoilers!
By that scene, my friend and I had already cried twice. Once when Raph was hurt by the Kraang protecting Leo. The second time was when Leo was telling Raph that he understands the burdens of being a leader, how terrifying it is to be responsible for people you care about. As the oldest in my family, man that hit me in the heart! And when seeing Mikey cry and Donnie’s fear that it may just be the end and Leo is SPENDING those last possible moments just to say sorry, just so show that he loves his brothers, and I was holding my breath the whole time.
The screaming my friend and I did when Raph finally snapped out it, and then the jaw dropping, absolutely NO WORDS awe at the TOTALLY cool sequence after when the bros went absolutely ham on the Kraang.
End Spoilers!

It was Epic. It was beautiful. And if you’re an anime/animation fan and you’re still sleeping on the Rise movie…you are SERIOUSLY missing out.

'Leo' Review
#Leo Review: "The team balanced middle-school humour w heartfelt lessons to make this a well-rounded feature for the whole family. The songs are the principal aspect of this film bc you can thread many ideas with lyrics that can connect to the audience."
By: Amanda Guarragi There is something special about an animated feature that can speak to children and adults. The ability to educate children about life and how to express their feelings while making it relatable for adults is no easy feat. Every adult has gone through something, and it has stemmed from childhood. Films that tell a universal coming-of-age story will affect everyone…

Netflix Movie info via Rotten Tomatoes; Actor and comedian Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) delivers signature laughs in this coming-of-age animated musical comedy about the last year of elementary school — as seen through the eyes of a class pet. Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle…

‘Leo’ Review: A Boring Movie That Should Have Stayed In The Classroom
I love Adam Sandler movies, I love Happy Madison Productions’ movies, but cmon, this was so bad. I never created any type of expectation for Leo, I know it’s a movie aiming towards young audiences but still, even recent movies like Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie and Under The Boardwalk were better, those two movies were actually enjoyable and managed to bring a interesting story with fun characters…
