Lenny and the VOICE’s short story is actually centered very tightly around them - it is the origin for everything else kicking off. Good job, Lenny, you’re terrible. But there are a handful that will cross her path that hail from connecting stories. One such individual is named Anthony, who is actually the only other reality warper in the story and becomes the protagonist’s, Nestor’s, best friend.

“Leeeeen... Do you know what it means to be a reality warper?”

“Don’t call me that.” The scathing response comes between the blood she spits out of her mouth from the game he sprung upon her.

“Stop me.” The corners of his lips quirked upwards, baiting her to take action. When she doesn’t move he does, closer to allow his hands to hover over her pale arms. “A reality warper creates and destroys. We make things happen, Len, or we make things not happen. That’s why you’re STUCK. You take and take and TAKE. You DESTROY and you don’t create. You take the balance out of the universe. You’re gonna fuck it all up, Len.”

Her tongue dragged across a sharp molar as she exhaled, breath stale and coppery from the blood he pulled from her. “G o o d.”

Anthony’s eyes alighted at her response; thoroughly amused by the stubborn soul that resided in such a small, withering frame. That’s what he liked about her, the unrelenting force that only knew to fly straight and would break through anything in her way.Except him.She should have listened to his advise.

headcanon: life

Lenny reacts to kindness and affection in the same manner she would respond to condescending behavior. The basis of this is due to her mind being rewired through experience that being engaged in that manner equals either manipulation, mockery or is completely false. From a young age she was, by default, not a child who wanted to be held or touched; when her experience grew in that area (through those around her, namely family or the VOICE) her mind began associating the smallest touch to be something vile. During a large portion of her teenage years into young adulthood she actually endured the harshest learning curve at her most vulnerable. As she aged and grew in awareness of herself, of the monster she acknowledged herself to be, these acts became more questionable when engaged. The question being, “who the fuck would and why?” and left a disgusting taste in her mouth.

Physical engagement that isn’t violence is one she questions; it can potentially lead to stalling her if it hits a familiar nerve that gives her a good dose of deja-vu. Otherwise it will often be met with a threat of a physical proportion in return if not outright dismemberment straight out of existence. The more sincere a being is in the area of kindness, or just in sincerity towards being in her company, the less she is capable of comprehending it. In her quest for becoming the absolute death of the universe she embraces destruction, death and (ultimately) the nothingness of the void. All that opposes that becomes an area she is not interested in nor is she knowledgeable in. That’s detrimental for a reality warper, who is meant to balance creation and destruction. Lenny is already actively seeking only one half of the whole and her experiences have as well furthered her disinterest in even humoring what could potentially have been positive experiences. Touch, kindness, positivity, change and all the things she does not engage in are all forms of life that cement existence.

The only exception to this behavior is when something touches a strokes a nerve that leads to nowhere. Lenny becomes slightly obsessive to find the answer to a question she has carried for years; which often prolongs the life of said individual, though that also means they deal with the worst of her.

One of the most important things about Lenny that I can never alter is the fact her reality warping/ability to render things nonexistent is solely based on her will and intent. It has been a bit of a challenge to play with verses because I could easily fudge things like, oh she has become a mutant with a virus, or learned this from old magical texts, etc. Then I realized how much that would alter Lenny as a whole. Her entire existence and ambition rests on her own shoulders; she carries herself, her hatred and her need to erase existence with her own willpower. To have that be given to her, or to have Lenny be cursed to have it is a huge flaw to her character.

It makes writing verses tricky but it also makes me super happy? This horrible little shit becomes something awful, becomes the villain by her own choosing and her own ability. No one can take that from her or say that she got help - she didn’t, she became as she was always intending to become.

What happened to Aaron, Lenny?

Aaron was Lenny’s older brother and the firstborn child to their parents. He cared greatly about his little sister who seemed to never be happy. He tried to give her purpose and help her become a person and not just be the shell of one.He didn’t deserve what she did to him.

The VOICE flipped back and forth with Aaron but was ultimately glad when he ‘disappeared’. He never really got confirmation of the VOICE’s existence but had enough to go on that there was something supernatural occurring with Lenny. Unfortunately he didn’t realize the reality warper part of things.

Aaron was kind, patient, hardworking, purposeful and loved much. Lenny included. He was the one who did everything he could to humanize her, he was the one that kept going when their parents gave up. Always ready with a smile no matter how tired or scared he was becoming of her.She hated him the most out of anyone/anything.Aaron’s positivity and beliefs that people exist after death, that energy scatters to tell new tales and become new things, is the concept that set off Lenny’s mind into what we see today. His beliefs met her hatred and together created a black hole.

F E N T R A X

A powerful company  with many subsidiaries that seemingly have their hand in every part of any industry. They’ve been around as one of the earliest companies to date and have been stayed true to development and improvement for a healthier and safer world.

Truth is, Fentrax is one face on a beast of many faces. It is one branch, in one dimension out of the many the rest of the company is in. Each branch possesses a different name; Fentrax, though, is quite special as it was the branch that was at ground zero when all the shit began. Back then this entire group was still quite small but now they have been forced to grow.

Lenny may kick start the entire story as the true villain but Fentrax, and its bigger part, are secondary villains acting as lawful evil against the black hole herself.

Lenny’s hate for the beach and ocean never ceases to amuse me. Her getting on a ferry or boat for any reason and just feeling something akin to sea sick makes me point and laugh at her.

I’ve always enjoyed the ghost sickness theory that floats about regarding haunted places. That of someone who has passed that lingers restlessly, full of negativity, can infect those upon the property. The whole bad energy being infectious and damaging those still living, like stress can deteriorate the mind or body is such a cool concept.

That is something I write the VOICE using with the basis of fear to mold what it needs someone to be/become. For Lenny there’s no need; her hatred, the energy that comes off of her to ruin and dismantle the world around her has the same ability to sicken someone.

So if you’re around her for an extended period of time you probably would feel uncomfortable or symptoms of being ill. Her intention to erase never ceases, so it makes sense that the energy she is comprised of is always lashing out even at her calmest. I’m not saying she’s killing blood cells, it’s possible those dead skin flakes could get erased coming closer to her. But it’s probably just the energy others are comprised of that is getting the most attacked. If someone’s energy is like an entire pool of sand, her intent through reality warping is basically picking up each piece of sand individually on the day to day level. It’s going to take a long while until her ball gets rolling or she actively chooses to harm/be rid of you. By on the normal days she’s just taking a few pieces of that pool of sand individually.

On days that are worse, when things go missing around her even, the sickness you feel probably grows. She’s forcing her will on yours; your right to live is being challenged, the energy of life in your is being pulled into this black hole. It’s not going to feel good, which is why I make mention of the air or energy around her beyond just vibes. All of it is important to help read the room, or read Lenny. 

She is entirely designed to destroy existence and it’s a silly notion that it just turns off. No, she puts it on a low setting because getting rid of existence is a constant - it is her everything and there’s no way she can just stop.

It has been fun developing verses for Lenny and seeing how often she becomes the role of an enabler. In her pursuit of becoming something awful she has decided that influencing others is something worth her time. Lenny’s interest in ruining the world has opened up this weird little loophole that actually makes her sociable in the right circumstances. That just happens to be her acting as a force of, uhh, evil I guess? She knows she’s in it for the long run on learning what she’s capable of but that doesn’t mean she can’t cull the planet in other ways.

I can fit Lenny into a lot of different universes genres but the problem is always her social side within them - the motivator on what she’s doing there (whether birthed there or planeswalking there - depending). So I think the good middle is exploring a route that both forces her hand on engagement and baiting her interest in it closely after. Her tolerance for things is small but key; so if it’s a subject she believes to be linked to her goal you can bet she will be looking into it. That means hurting people, hurting the planet and a load of villainous acts I get to explore with her. It is a delightful merging of her being a sentient force of nature who also now branches out more on engagement if the situation calls for it.

This one is a fun answer because on one hand no, she isn’t a gambler at all. She can be too meticulous and controlling to allow chance in to ruin what she has going on. Yet as things progress in her life this answer does shift and become less valid.

Lifting the other hand you’ll find the complete opposite. Yes, she can be a very big gambler because while she’s capable of making mistakes and acknowledging them, she also knows any problems she has can disappear. Her willpower to overcome and become more enables her to gamble with things she may have once been careful with.

If this question relates to money she could, but not in the common sense at a slot machine or something. If a situation calls for it and is necessary (and she doesn’t have the alternative to remove people) then sure. Otherwise she isn’t interested in gambling at casinos or wherever else.

Okay, so you got yourself a Lenny in a high stress situation, right? Well you better fucking leave because shit is about to start disappearing.

The thing about this lass is high stress can come from anything. At all. Which might sound strange because she’s often not involved in feeling high stress in threads here. You’re correct there, because it doesn’t happen often. But when it does oh my god it is like hell came to earth and then the real hell was like ‘lol who is impersonating me???’ and crushed that original hell until an infinite loop of big dick energy hells was created.

Lenny does NOT react well to high levels of stress when she’s feeling them. When others are she doesn’t often care. Her though? Nope. It can have a slow start or an explosive one, last however long. She can recover quickly or just not until she passes out, or the VOICE gets a grip. High stress is often the result of two things: her brother or the VOICE. Anything else is often connected in some way and she can’t process what that is due to not having the ability to comprehend it. Which goes to CONFUSED STRESS zone and that is a thing. Her stresses have like, their own realm. Like, if Lenny is hell itself (lul, she’s worse) than all those princes are like a different type of stress. Hate stress, confused stress, rage stress, etc.

Consciously or not she lashes out in the form of making shit disappear. Because that is exactly what she desires most and as a reality warper it’s so easy to activate your abilities because it’s entirely based on such. So if she’s thrown off and stressed, she’ll want everything to stop and go away. It will. If she is perplexed beyond belief and stressed, things will disappear around her area of focus (ex. a person).

Lenny is a shitstorm who at any time either has a healthy amount of awareness to handle stress or DOESN’T and is the absolute worst. You can often bet though on the latter a lot when it’s personally linked to her on a core level.

...Does making basic shit count? Can that’s about what she can do. When she eats. Lenny is (unintentionally) a bare minimum person when it comes to food so she’s either usually out of groceries or runs out in a day or two. That translates into her ability to cook, too.

I’d say she isn’t a grand cook. Mediocre in what she can cook and in flavor. Her taste buds are as indifferent as the rest of her. Don’t let this girl feed ya.
