Yet another completed spinning project. The fiber was a batt of Polwarth, merino, and silk from Hopkins Fiber Studio. For the larger skein of yarn, I spun the singles on my Lendrum Saxony with my superfast flyer and plied on my Daedalus Sparrow. For the smaller skein, I did everything on my Daedalus Sparrow. (It's test drive.)

A beautiful, simple tutorial on how to get started spinning yarn using a 28 inch Lendrum Saxony, double treadle, left orientation, with cherry wood that I stained to look like black walnut.
I'm showing you how to do a 1-ply yarn today; we won't get into plying in this tutorial.
Just to clarify, the mother of all is the horizontal bar and the maidens are the two posts holding the flyer/bobbin setup.
You can find roving here - https://amzn.to/2MBDRo7

I actually finished some spinning! The fiber is 40% superwash merino, 40% merino, and 20% tussah silk dyed in a OIAL colorway from Fiber Optic Yarns. I spun the singles on my Lendrum Saxony with my superfast flyer, and plied them together on my Daedalus Sparrow. Penny is in the photo for size comparison.

It's been a while since I have done any spinning. I fixed that today.
