"thank you, (Y/N)-" she started, but furrowed her eyebrows confused when she saw you quickly getting out of the car. She followed you with her eyes and smiled when you opened the car door for her.

"After you, my lady" you smiled, adding a little bow at the end.

"always the gentleman, I see" Lena complimented getting out of the car, now face to face with you.

"I had fun tonight" and for some reason, she wasn't thinking of the others.

"yea, me too" you shifted your weight from one foot to the other, the action bringing you closer to her.

"I'll see you soon?" she asked lowly, you two were so close there was no need to talk loudly.

"yea" you replied softly, not really being able to keep the conversation going.

The scientist pulled her hands out from the pockets of her jacket and wrapped them around your neck, bringing you in for a hug, and you reciprocated by wrapping yours around her waist. She disconnected from the hug that lasted a second too long, according to her rational judgment, and resumed talking

"good night, (Y/N). Drive safely"

"good night Lena, I will"

You made sure she closed the door behind her before driving off.

A few days later Lena was in her office, working on her computer, when she suddenly felt a wind of air moving from the balcony all the way into the the room. "hello Kara" she greeted the hero, not moving her head from the computer.

"we need help"

her voice didn't sound so alarmed but the CEO shoot up to her feet anyway, just in time to hear you shout Kara's name and see you trip on the balcony, landing in front of them on your hands and knees.

"oh my god what happened?" she rushed to you, helping you to your feet

"you brought me to Lena?" you asked, recognizing the voice.

"you didn't know?"

Kara decided to interviene, clearing the puzzle for both of you "he's fine, he got sprayed with a pepper spray by a mugger, he will heal pretty soon but I though you might have something for the pain.

Feeling calmer, Lena recollected her thoughts, nodding.

"I know to expect bullets, not this" you spoke up again, rubbing your eyes, while your other hand held your mask.

You were, however, instantly stopped by Lena's hand on yours. "don't touch it, it'll only be worse. Put your mask back on, I'll take you to my lab."

She didn't let go of you, now wrapping her fingers around your wrist and got you out of her office. You were able to see lights and shadows but a little guidance didn't hurt. And to anyone asking, and herself, Lena would justify the not so professional touch the same way.

As soon as you two reached the lab, she lead you to a chair, while she grabbed what she needed.

"I'm sorry i literally crushed into your office, I could have handled it on my own too." you said, taking off your mask, knowing you were the only two in the room.

"oh I'm happy to help" she spoke from the other side of the room "and if by handling it on your own, you mean rubbing it like you did before, then I'm very happy you came to me" she teased, and by the way her voice got louder you'd guess she was standing in front of you.

"now open your eyes, and try to keep them open" you tried doing what she said, but closed them right after with a groan.

"it'll just be a second, come on" she got closer to you, now being in between your legs, and put a hand on your forehead.

When you opened your eyes again, you saw a small bottle in her free hand. This time you closed your eyes only when a drop of the liquid touched your sclera, but Lena seemed content with it. "oh it's cold" you commented, the constract in temperature already acting as a relief.

"see? it was just a second. Open the other one now."

After doing the same to the other eye, she put the bottle aside, wiping some tears gathered on your cheecks and at the pool of your eyes, while you kept them closed for a bit more, enjoying the now cool sensation.

Even with your eyes closed you could feel the closeness, how one of her tight was touching yours and how her breath touched your skin from time to time; it took everything in you to keep your hands locked on the top of your knees, and not put them around her waist.

Everytime you were in one of these situations. you couldn't help but think that Lena was holding back from doing something. It couldn't be that she didn't know if you liked her? You think everyone around you knows, whether you told them or they just figured it out.

For a long time you thought this was just her being friendly, despite all the times Kara told you you were the only person she acted so touchy and even vulnerable with, her being aware of it ot not.

So, given she actually likes you back, it must be something else.

You don't know a lot about her past since she rarely talks about it, you only knew the basics but you definetly knew about the walls she hardly lets anyone through.

But for whatever reason she might be holding back,

"are you feeling a bit better?"

you will wait for her to be ready,

"much better, thank you" you re-opened your eyes and she was indeed very close to you.

"great, i'm glad" you swore she glaced at your lips, before straightening her back and taking a step back. "let's get back to Kara, she must be worried"

You followed her back to her office, and found Kara sitting on Lena's chair, spinning around.

"yea, worried" you teased making Lena roll her eyes.

"oh! how are you feeling?" asked the kryptonian, raising from the chair. She had a light blush on her cheeks probably due to getting caught messing around.

"better, not thanks to you" you replied, making her gasp, pointing a finger at herself

"I brought you here"

You ignored her defence, turning back to the scientist "thank you again, I'll see you around?"

At her nod you started going back to the balcony, then threw a confused look at the blonde when you noticed she wasn't following you.

"you go on ahead, I want to talk to Lena first" by the look on the woman's face, she didn't know about it either.

"okay, have fun" you smiled at the two, flying away.

"good, you're here" Alex sighed as soon as you and Kara entered the main room of the DEO, already in your supersuit.

"what's going on Alex?" asked her sister.

"a group of aliens just escaped Metropolis' prison, last time they were out they tried getting everyone with any sort of power so they could trade them for their boss, but Superman stopped them"

"and now they're onto us" John finished

"how do you know they're not trying it again in Metropolis, or somewhere else?" Kara asked and this time Winn answered, putting pictures and a map of the city on the big screen.

"they installed a chip in every alien's suit so they could track them in case of escape. Very useful for shapeshifters and aliens who can become invisible."

"that's smart" Supergirl furrowed her brows "why don't we have that?" she turned to John, who didin't seem thrilled by the idea

"it's smart, unless they simply decide to take off their clothes."

Next to Kara, you were only half listening to the debate, a disturbing thought forming in your head "I don't care about that" you interrupted "where are they going Winn?"

"it looks like they parted ways, they're headed to-" the images switched and you instantly recognized the building.

"they're going to Lena" you felt your blood freezing in you veins "I have to go" and without another word, you were off

"Superman is containing the outbreak in Metropolis so it's up to us." Alex explained, normally she would have scolded you for going on your own before knowing the plan, but this was actually a matter of time, so she let you go.

She also knew how worried you were.

"Kara you go to CatCo, while we'll take the smaller groups, they only care about their goal, so get Cat somewhere safe and trap the aliens somewhere. Then call us, and we'll take them back to Metropolis"

And with that, Kara flew out the window, telling you the plan through your earpiece.

"okay got it, get Lena safe, trap the aliens, move on" you repeated, removing your hand from your ear.

You broke the window on your way in, you figured she could just get it fixed, not that you were worried about that.

Lena wasn't in her office but they couldn't have gotten to her, according to Winn, they were three minutes away, and you took way less than that to get here.

You ran out of the room, getting to her lab.

You found her sitting in one of the chairs, looking at who knows what. The sound of the door opening made her raise her head, but the smile reserved just for you slowly vanished, taking in your tense stance. Even with your mask on she could read you.

"what's wrong? are you hurt?"

"follow me, there's no time" you heard Winn through the earpiece warning you "please, I'll explain later"

Your voice confermed her suspicions, and she got out of the room with you.

"we need to be quick" you grabbed her hand "we'll take the stairs"

As you run up the stairs you could hear the doors to the building breaking open and people starting to scream, making Lena slighlty jump in fear.

"don't worry, they have no interest in your employees, they just want you." you tired to reassure her, but it didn't seem to work since she stopped moving completely

"who's they? what's going on (Y/N)?"

"we have to run Lena" you pleaded almost desperately.

This really wasn't the time to talk and she didin't seem to understand, so you put a hand around her waist and the other under her knees, and started running with her in your arms.

You tried to briefly explain their intention and your plan, shielding her with your body every time you slammed a door open.

"and I'd do anything to stop it"

Kara confirmed they couldn't fly, so you just had to trap them on the roof and get Lena somewhere safe.

You only let her down when you reached the edge of the roof, and you could hear them quickly approaching.

You didn't let go of her waist yet, thinking she might get scared and fall.

"do you trust me?"

Thanks to the closeness of your bodies, she could catch a glimpse of your eyes, and she could see they were full of fondness and sincerity.

All things Lena always saw when she looked into your eyes.

She let her gaze fall to the ground, then back to you, before nodding.

"I do"

You nodded back, and Lena swore she could feel you smile.

"great" you got off the edge when the aliens broke the door "then jump when I tell you to"

You tried with all your strength to keep them from getting to her, while also trying to seal the door shut.

They weren't a lot but they were fast and agile, which made it hard for you to keep up.

As soon as you sealed the door shut you heard Lena shout your name, only to see two of them getting closer and closer to her.The distraction got you a punch in the gut, making you fall to the ground; consequencently giving them the upper hand.

Your scream came out muffled, but the woman was still able to hear it.

"jump Lena, now!"

Lena looked at the ground once again, the aliens were getting closer but the others held you down, making it impossible for you to move.

Taking another hit to the jaw, you yelled again.

"please, you have to trust me!"

And without a second thought she was in the air.

She tried looking up, waiting for you to come save her, but all she could see was the fast approaching asphalt so she closed her eyes,

Her arms came to her face, a vain attempt at protecting herself.

The next thing she knew, she was on the ground, but she was on her feet while her waist was once again held by your hands; while hers were unconsciously gripping onto your biceps for dear life.

"how did you-"

She tried to speak but her heart was still pumping in her head for the near death experience.

"I told you, they only care about you. They run up to the edge as soon as they saw you jump"

Being in a closed off parking lot, you were able to take off your mask, in an attempt to calm her down.

and it seemed to have worked, but you sensed she had something else to ask, so you spared her the effort.

"I would have never told you to jump unless I was totally sure it would work."

With a little smile, you took one of your hands off her waist to reach Alex through the earpiece.

"Alex there's six of them, they're stuck on the roof of Lena's building"

Putting your hands to rest along your side, the black haired woman almost wished you put them back on her waist.

"get home as soon as you can, it's still not safe for you out here. I have to go"

"please be safe" she whispered, nearly pleaded, her eyes focused on the bruise already forming on your jaw.

"and come back in one piece."

With a job like yours you could never promise something like that, it was a dangerous game where one false step could get you killed, and you both knew that.

But with the way she was looking at you, with her eyebrows forrowed together and her mouth slightly agape, and the way her hands moved to hold your wrists; she made you want go fight death herself and win, just to come back to her.

"I will, I promise."

It was a few hours later, since getting back home Lena had her eyes glued to the news playing on the screen, like they always were when she knew you were on a mission.

After the boring news of a soccer player winning a title the woman couldn't be bothered to remember the name of, you and Kara finally apperead on the screen, busy escorting some aliens in a black van she presumed belonged to the DEO, as the reporter provided an upgrade on the situation.

"this imagines were of almost two hours ago, so we can safely assume all the culprits are now back in Metropolis' prison, all thanks to Supergirl and (Y/S/N)" concluded the man, and Lena turned off the tv.

She could finally feel herself relax, sitting on the couch. And although she felt a bit bad you didin't text her to tell her you were okay, she understood you were probably tired and wanted to freshen up a bit.

She also debated texting you, or calling you, but at the last second she decided not to, wanting to avoid waking you up in case you fell asleep. It wouldn't be the first time it had happened, as soon as a mission ended Kara needed to eat to regain her streght, while you prefered a good three hours minimun nap.

But not this time apparently.

As soon as she put the phone down, she heard a knock on the door. Quickly getting up to open it, already knowing who was on the other side.

"I don't know if you had dinner yet, but i'm starving" you said, holding the bag of takeout in your hand.

"hi" she replied softy, not taking her eyes off your face.

"come in" she shook her head after a while, making room for you to enter.

"uh no I didn't eat anything" she answered your question from before, watching you get settled on the couch, after hanging your coat at the entrance.

The scene alone felt so domestic that it brought a smile to the woman's face.

"what do you want to drink?" she asked, heading to the kitchen

"whatever you're having" but you were too focused on setting up the table, and Lena knew this, or you wouldn't have answered like that.

So she repeated the question. This time you registered her words "mhh I'm fine with anything, as long as it's not wine"

She smirked, whispering a "that's more like it" leaving you confused at her remark, as she went to get a bottle of wine for herself, and a bottle of soda for you.

While eating you decided to put on a random movie, it was meant to act just as a background noise, but you were actually getting interested in it, considering there wasn't much noise coming from the woman sitting next to you.

That's because she was looking at your side profile. She tried watching the movie, but she soon found out she preferred the way the movie played on your face, with the light shining on your skin, enlightening your features.

From the tip of your nose to your cheekbones, from the lips Lena swore never looked so soft, all the way down to-

"(Y/N)"

She called, but your hum of acknowledgement didn't satisfy her.

"(Y/N), look at me" she tried again, but her tone never lost it's sweetness.

"mh?" this time you turned your head to face her, the movie long forgotten when she gently grabbed your jaw.

"the bruise" she stared, moving her fingers along the skin, trying to find it

"it disappeared"

"it healed" you whispered. And thank God you didn't want to say anything else because you lost all the air in your lungs when her eyes met yours.

"did you get hurt anywhere else?"

She moved her free hand to rest on top of the couch, letting her head lay on it. You adjusted your positions too, hoping she wouldn't pull away when the motion brought you invitably close, with her legs now trapped between your arms.

She didn't.

"nothing more than small bruises" she could feel your throat moving as you talked.

"you asked me to jump off of a building today" she informed you with a small smile, as if you didn't know.

"and without any protection"

Not catching the playfulness in her tone, you let a frown appear on your face.

"I never would have let you jump if i wasn't sure-" you tried reassuring her but she stopped you, whether it was intentional or not, when she moved her hand to the back of your neck, fingers playing with your hair.

"I know (Y/N), I know. It was my decision to trust you"

"thank you for trusting me then" it was all you could muster up at this point, not really knowing where she was going with it.

"thank you for never giving me a reason not to"

Silence fell on the two of you, the way Lena was looking at you, how her gaze flickered from your eyes to your lips; with her fingers tracing figures on your scalp and the way her bottom lip was caught between her theet made it impossible for you to think, let alone talk.

On the other side of the room, there wasn't a single part of Lena's brain that wasn't screaming at her to do something. She could feel your arms touching her thighs, and you looked at her like nothing else in the world mattered right now. And for you it didn't.

You clearly wanted this as much as she did, and she always noticed. Lena was one of the smartest people you knew, so she definitely wasn't oblivious to the way you always held yourself back when the moment got to heated, and she could tell it was for her sake.

And this fact alone tipped her over the edge. She already trusted you with her life, it was time to trust you with her heart.

The hand on the back of your neck tightened it's grip, forcing you down to meet soft lips.

Not that you were complaining.

The kiss was urgent, telling you just how much she has been wanting this.

You could taste the wine she had drunk a few hours ago and wondered if it had always tasted this good.

Her other hand came to rest on your cheek, bringing you impossibly closer.

You put your hand on her waist, thriving at the sound of surprise she let out.

The kisses got more soft and kind as they subsided, and it was Lena who made the first move, pulling away from you.

Shily smiling at the sight of you blindly following her lips.

You opened your eyes to find her already looking at you, with one of her hand coming to your chest to gently stop you.

There were a few seconds of silence between the two of you, you were fairly without words, the only thought occupying your head was the kiss you just had and Lena herself.

The scientist, once again, had so much to say and little courage to do so; strangely, the person who made her feel the safest also made her nervous as hell.

"you kissed me"

You spoke up, the hand on her waist twitching as if you didn't think it really happened.

She bursted out laughing, feeling at ease again.

"I did. And you kissed me back" she whispered

"I did" you repeated, a huge smile taking over your face. "can I do it again? can I kiss you?"

You slowly leaned back in, giving her time to pull away, and Lena can't believe it took her this long to do it.

You scooted closer to her during the kiss, and Lena moved her legs on top of yours, making it easier for you.

Your hand fiddled with the hem of her shirt, sneaking your fingers under it, You didin't want to do anything more than just kissing, at least not tonight, but it was nice feeling her skin against your fingertips.

She was once again the frst one to pull away. As much as she wanted to keep kissing you, god she couldn't get enough of your lips already, she wanted to talk to you.

"stop with the kissing now pretty boy" she said affectionately, the pet name spreading warm all the way to your chest.

It took her a moment to gather her thoughts, around the same time it took you to pay attention to her words.

"I've liked you for quite a while now" she started, and you straightened your posture, adjusting your hand to lay now on her knee "and I think I've always known that, I just couldn't find it in myself to trsut you enough for that"

You slightly nodded at her words to show you were paying attention "you can trust me on everything" you breathed out and lowered your head when you felt her playing with the button of your blouse.

"I realize that" she bit her bottom lip "you know, Kara also had a part in this" she said after a bit, changing subject.

You tilted your head, confused "she did?"

"the day you got sprayed in the eyes-" the woman let out a little laugh at your groan "Kara stayed back to give me a wingwoman sort of speech. Saying things like 'he's a good person' or 'it's clear that you like him too'" She moved her hand around, remembering her friend's words.

"I should thank her then" you answered, but made no move to reach for your phone

you got closer once again "but not right now, I have other things to do" and she accepted your lips on hers without hesitation.

Following a lead that her mother may have spent some time living in a small town called Sutton Hills in Kansas, Lena decided to spend the summer there hoping to learn more about her.

You and your family owned a cattle ranch outside this town and you were doing some of your daily tasks when you saw a woman standing next to her broken down car on the road in front of your home.

"You must not be from around here or else you'd know high heels and dirt roads don't mix," you laugh, riding up to her on your horse with two cattle dogs running behind you.

"I think the engine overheated," she tells you, the hood of the car popped with some steam coming out of it.

"Let me take a look," you say hopping off your horse and taking a peak, "yep looks like you're out of coolant, let me call my buddy who works at the auto shop in town and he can drop some off," you tell her pulling your phone out and sending a text to your friend, "it'll be at least an hour till he can get here and it's hot as hell out, do you want to come inside for a drink? My mom just made a pitcher of fresh lemonade. Oh and I'm Y/N by the way, this sweet girl is Dakota and those two are Scout and Jasper."

Every horror movie ever says that she shouldn't go inside a complete strangers home especially in the middle of a small town but the summer sun wasn't the only thing that was hot out here, your cowboy chic and matching accent was quite charming to say the least and your horse and dogs were pretty cute as well.

"Sure, lemonade sounds nice and I'm Lena," she replies.

"So where are you from Lena?" You ask guiding her towards your home, tying your horse to a post in the shade next to a water trough.

"National City," she says as you walk up the front steps.

"That's in California right? What are you doing all the way out here in Kansas," you ask, opening the door and letting her inside, taking your cowboy hat off and hanging it on the rack.

"This might sound crazy but I think my mom lived here about 30 years ago, she died when I was young and I was just hoping to learn more about her," she explains.

You walk into the kitchen and pull the pitcher of lemonade from the fridge pouring two glasses and handing her one, "that's not crazy at all, what was her name?"

"Elizabeth Walsh."

"Elizabeth Walsh? Hmm, that names sounds familiar," you say when your mom enters the kitchen, "hey ma this is Lena, her car broke down out front. She's in town looking for some information about her mom who lived here a couple decades ago. Maybe you knew her, names Elizabeth Walsh."

"Oh yeah I knew Elizabeth, we worked at the convenience store together before I married your father Y/N," your mom says.

Lena coughs, choking on the lemonade she was drinking, "wait you really knew her?"

"Sure did, real sweet girl and everyone loved her. She lived here for two or three years if I remember correctly," she responds.

"Do you happen to know where she went after Sutton Hills?" Lena asks.

"Last time I saw her she came into the store to quit, told me she met a man from Smallville not far from here and she was leaving to be with him," your mom tells her, "you know she left me a few of her journals, said she wanted to keep them safe."

"What was inside them?" Lena questions having a feeling she knew the answer.

"No clue, they all had locks on them not that I would have even felt right reading them, I put them in a box in the attic somewhere I can have Y/N look for them if you'd like," she offers.

"Y/N you would be doing me a huge favor," Lena says.

"No problem, I'd be happy to look for them," you reply.

"Mind if I help you?"

"Follow me," you smile at her and she blushes.

Up in the attic you start moving some boxes, looking for ones with more dust on them that haven't been touched in a while.

You spend twenty minutes looking through boxes, getting to know Lena when you finally find what you were looking for.

"These must be it, I wonder why she put locks on them," you say handing them over to Lena.

"I think I know why," Lena states, running her fingers over the lock of the first journal.

"Not sure how you're gonna open them, those locks don't even have a slot for a key, your mom must have some pretty interesting secrets," you chuckle.

"You don't know the half of it," she mutters, she already had a few spells in mind that she would try to get the locks open but you didn't need to know that.

Your phone buzzes and you see a text from your friend, "James is here, let's get your car cooled down and you'll be good to go."

Outside you and James pour the new bottle of coolant into the radiator of her rental car.

"You're all set," you say popping the hood back into place.

"Thank you Y/N, and thank your mom for the journals, you don't know how much this means to me," she says hugging you.

"It's my pleasure Lena and I hope you enjoy your summer in Sutton Hills," you tell her.

Lena loved running L-Corp. She got to make life changing discovering to help the human race but sometimes she absolutely hated her job and today was one of those days.

Morgan Edge had used her political influence to smear Lena and paid off several former L-Corp employees to launch lawsuits against Lena. Lena thus had to spend the entire week in meetings with various corporate lawyers discussing the cases and potential fallout.

The cases got so overwhelming that Lena was just about ready to shut down by lunch. Kara had been by trying to get a quote when she say how stressed Lena was. She then texted you.

“Lena looks like she’s about to have a meltdown.”

“How can I help?” You texted back.

“Find a way to take her mind off work after the day is done.”

You smiled as you started to get to work. You were Lena’s first significant relationship in years so you made sure to go the extra mile in preparations for Operation: Destress Lena.

By the end of the day Lena was an inch away from killing someone that her new secretary insisted she be driven home to avoid possible road rage.

When Lena finally got back to her apartment, her anger was still seething inside her that she slammed her purse onto the ground and muttered a series of curses in several different languages.

So when edge poisoned Lena reader gets really angry and gets Lena to the DEO and learns that Lena is pregnant with their baby and so reader waits until Alex says she’ll be okay and then Reader goes and gets his suit on and speeds over to edges office grabs him and smashes his window and hangs him off the side and tells him to confess? Part 2. The next day edge confesses about the lead poisoning and trying to kill Lena. Lena is happy to see edge going to jail. Then they show the video from a hidden camera in edges office where it shows reader threatening edge and Lena learns that reader did it. Reader tells Lena he is sorry for going evil and he’s worried Lena will leave him. Lena tell him it’s okay because edge needed to be stopped. Ends with a make up kiss and Lena tells reader about the baby. (Reader’s suit is like Zoom.)

The moment you heard Lena’s cracked message over the DEO speakers you didn’t even stop to think about what you were about to do. You put on your black suit and ran to where she was, and cursed when you realized your speed wouldn’t help you get up there where she needed you.

The whole thing happened too slow for your own liking. Supergirl’s blurred silhouette getting on the plane, the way it went down afterwards, Lena’s screams as the plane was cut in two. It was one of the rare occasions in your life when your powers felt useless. You were a bystander stuck on land.

Supergirl called then for you over the comms. She had Lena on one side of the plane and the chemicals on the other but she couldn’t hold both.

“Save the chemicals, not me.” You heard Lena scream and you hated they way she was always trying to put others before herself. The hero complex with it’s damn self sacrificing principle you could never understand. But if you had to play the hero for Lena you would do it, over and over until she was safe.

You ordered Supergirl to drop the chemicals. With your speed, you swore, you would be able to catch them before they touched the water. Then you ran across the them, grabbing every single bucket and putting them one by one at the edge of the water where they would do no harm. It was a matter of seconds. The chemicals, the city, the children and whoever, they were all saved, and you couldn’t care less about it. You saw Supergirl land gently on the ground on the other side and you quickly caught up.

You saw her smile the moment she caught you running towards her but at the first step she took you knew something was wrong. There were many things you loved about Lena Luthor and one of them was the way she always carried herself, with such grace and poise that it had to be impossible for her to miss a step. But she did and you were so surprised that even with your super speed you barely had time to stop her from hitting the floor.

“Lena!” You cradled her in your arms and looked for any sign of injury she could had have.

There were no visible signs of injury and as far as Supergirl knew nothing happened to her while they were on the plane.

It took you two seconds to go back to the DEO and a painful hour of waiting for Alex to finally talk to you.

“What happened?” You pushed as you paced around her office. The movement was the only thing keeping you grounded.

“She’s stable now. Don’t worry, she’s in good hands.” She sat, watching you intently. They hadn’t let you see her yet and it was clear that was getting on your nerves.

“Don’t tell me not to worry, Alex. Tell me what happened.”

“She was poisoned.”

“Poisoned how?”

“She had a mark on her arm, someone injected her, maybe before she was put on that plane. The symptoms were similar to lead poisoning but it was the same chemicals that affected the children. We’re treating her right now-”

“Was it Edge?” You just needed confirmation.

You had hear the news about the children getting sick in National City due to lead poisoning and about Morgan Edge’s friendly visit to the Luthor Hospital. Edge had showed up, pretending to care and using that as an excuse to hurt Lena’s image. After all, it was a well known fact that Lena had been the one to create the device that filler the earth’s atmosphere with it in order to avoid an alien invasion.

Edge would have done everything to get her out of the way and, if he wasn’t shy about poisoning children, you were sure as hell he had no problem with killing Lena with his same poison. How fitting would that have been? The apparent villain of the story dying by the consequences of her own doing.

“We don’t know that but, (Y/N), there’s something more. Lena, she’s…she is pregnant.” That finally made you stop.

Even with your speed, her words seemed to slowly sink in. “She’s what?”

“Pregnant, (Y/N). Lena is pregnant.” Alex punctuated each word and she no longer believed it had been a good idea to tell you about it as she saw your face draw into a frown.

“I wanna see her.” You demanded a second later.

Some people used to say that your story with Lena was some kind of a Beauty and the Beast type of story. It was laughable but you came to believe there was truth in all of that.

Lena was pretty much a beauty. You didn’t think one single person could look at her and not think she was an angel. But there was so much more. She had this confidence and elegance that made her stand in a room full of a thousand people. She knew what it was to walk that fine line between good and evil and still choose to do good for others. She had been the only person able to outsmart you and the only person you could say to actually have fallen in love with.

You, on the other hand, were a monster in some sense, never letting a tender heart get in the way of doing what had to be done.

You saw the world and the darkness that filled it. It was a brotherhood, full of killers. Thieves, fraudsters. Perverts, corrupt men. More and more criminals, with no shame or guilt or anything that could prove they were even human. They were all the same, scum infesting the earth just like the rest. You were no human either but at least you acknowledged it. A monster with a conscience and the power to stop further evil. The fastest man alive. That’s who you were. That’s what you were going to do.

“Are they gonna be alright?” You said to Alex without taking your eyes off Lena.

“They are both in the best hands.” Alex assured you again.

“Good. Take care of them. I’ll back in a minute.” You got up from your chair and were about to leave the room when she stopped you.

“(Y/N), where are you going?”

“I figured I need to grab some things for her. We are not leaving until you assure me they are completely fine.” You looked at her, putting a slight hint of concern in your expression.

She couldn’t read your face clearly but she knew you were more than worried about Lena. Furthermore, she knew what you were capable of but still she let you go. Not that she had a real choice.

But you were true to your word. Partially. You left and headed to the private apartment Lena and you shared. You took some clothes and toiletries for her and put them on a small bag. Then you returned to the DEO but not before taking a little detour to Edge’s office.

“Morgan Edge.” You called with your vibrating voice once you stepped inside his office. He looked up from his desk and he went pale.

It wasn’t your voice but your suit that gave you away. He had seen a couple of blurred pictures of it before and the rumors that came with it. All black and a mask with hollow eyes that could have matched a scarecrow’s face. Looking at you, right in the middle of his office in the middle of the night meant nothing good for him and he knew it.

“Wow, I though Halloween had already passed. Sorry, I don’t have candies.” He tried to hide the tremor in his own voice with a bravado.

“You are the man I am looking for.”

“Me? Sorry, who are you?”

“I know what you did.” You declared.

“What I did?” Edge scoffed. “And what exactly did I do?”

“Poisoned children, tried to drop chemical waste into the city’s waters, attempted murder.·

"So I guess you’re the new vigilante in town and have come to punish me for my so called crimes?” He mocked with a grin.

“No. I’m here to finish you.” He hadn’t fully caught what you had said but your next actions were clear enough.

With a swift motion you grabbed him by the collar and pulled him at the edge of his office window. Shards of glass went flying over the street and you left his body hanging fifty floors above the ground.

“W-wait!” He screamed. “You can’t kill me, if you do you are no better than I am, isn’t that right? Y-you are the hero.”

“I am no fucking hero.” You responded with a growl.

“No! Wait, please! What do you want? Whatever it is I’ll give it to you!”

“Your confession.” You said and he seemed to be more startled by your words than by his impending death. “I offer you a way out.”

You only needed to open your fist and let him fall. It was what he deserved, you thought, but Lena deserved more. She deserved justice and for once you realized this wouldn’t have been it. You had been angry but letting him die would have been to easy for you, for him. He needed to live and pay for what he had done.

“Confess to the police and this will be the only time you’ll have to see me. If you don’t, I assure you, I have plans for each day of the rest of your miserable life. This will be nothing compared to what I can do to you. Understood?”

When didn’t answer right away you pulled him back into the open air.

“Alright, alright! You win. I’ll do it.” He grabbed your arm and shouted frantically. You pulled him towards you, face to face.

“You better.” You said and tossed him back into his office.

That was the end of the night for you. You returned to Lena and sat beside her until the sun came up again. You stayed there watching the slow tempo of the rise and fall of her breathing. You had wanted to wake her up and talk to her about what had happened and about the baby, but thought against it. She needed rest and a peaceful sleep, now more than ever. You would both have a lot of time for that later.

Finally a new dawn came and Lena slowly started to wake up.

“I’m sorry.” She said once she recovered enough to remember what had happened during the night.

“Don’t worry about it.” You assured her. “But please, if you’re going against some bad guy, don’t go alone. You should call a professional and that means I would like you to call me before you rush into anything dangerous.” You tried to keep the lightness in your voice as you held her hand. It was ridiculous how soft you could be with her some times.

“I will.” She promised. “But, (Y/N), there’s something we need to talk.”

“I guess we all need to talk about something.” Kara came into the room, along with Alex, and carrying her bag. By the looks of it, she had been heading to work and, on a closer look, she didn’t look happy.

“We have some news.” Alex announced. “Edge confessed this morning to the police.”              

Lena looked stunned. “I…I never thought I was going to hear something like that in my life.”

“Maybe he finally got a conscience.” You stepped out of your chair and faced the Danvers sisters.

“Maybe he got help getting one.” Kara opened her bag and pulled a tablet out. “(Y/N), can you explain this?”

A video started to play. It showed Edge’s office and him working over his desk. Nothing seemed to be wrong until a few seconds later, as the video showed a shattered window and Morgan Edge dangling from your arm above the street.

You snorted and rolled your eyes. “I think it is pretty self-explanatory.”

“(Y/N), what is it?” Lena couldn’t watch the video but by the tone of the conversation she guessed there was something wrong.

“I went after Edge and I convinced him of turning himself up to the police.”

“Convinced him? You mean, threatened him and then pushed him off his office.”

“Yes.” You admitted. “Yes, I did.”

“Do you realize what you’re saying?” Alex said.

“You’re acting just like him!” Kara raised her voice.

“Like him? Please, at least I had the decency of never hurting anyone who didn’t deserve it. Edge needed to be stopped and If I had known he was going to cause all this trouble I would have done it sooner. Now it’s done. You should be grateful.”

“This is not the way we do things, (Y/N). We could arrest you for this.” Kara pointed at you and you started to see red.

“And how do you exactly plan on doing that, uh? You can’t outrun the fastest man alive. Not you, not even Supergirl.” You looked directly at her. “I mean, you can keep trying. You have done it before, multiple times, and you have failed every single time. If I’m here it’s because I agreed to help and because of Lena, not because you have a hold on me.”

You hadn’t noticed the way you body had started to vibrate, ready for the fight, but Lena’s voice brought you back to reality. “You know he is right.”

“Lena-” Kara tried to say.

“No, let me finish, please.” She pulled herself up from the bed and faced the three of you. “(Y/N) is right. If he’s here is because we asked for his help and that’s what he did. His method may not suit the DEO or match the way we had done it ourselves but he did it to protect the city, to protect us, to protect me… and my baby.” There was a shift in the room after her last words. “Sometimes we don’t need a hero to fight for us but a monster to help us fight the darkness back.”

You three couldn’t have been more speechless even if you had lost your tongues.

“Now, I would like to talk to (Y/N) myself. If you don’t mind.” Lena finished.

Alex was the first one to move. She shook her head slightly and gently grabbed Kara by the arm. “We’ll leave you to it.” She said as both of them left the room.

“Are you mad at me?” You turned to look at her, a bit more worried than you could have admitted.

“No. I’m actually very proud.” Lena motioned to you to sit beside her. “You could have killed him but you didn’t.”

“Not that I didn’t want to.” You moved towards her and sat at her side.

“What made you change your mind?”

“You crossed my mind before I could drop him.” You looked at her. “To kill him would have been easy and I didn’t want to make it easy for him. And yes, I know a coerced confession isn’t necessarily fair but I thought about you and how I wanted you to see there was going to be justice for all his crimes. You deserved at least that after all the shit show he started.”

Lena smiled at you and placed a soft hand on the side of your face. “You’re going to be a great dad.”

“I’m gonna be a father.” Her words took you a bit by surprise but you smiled back and chuckled. “We’re pregnant. Oh dear, we are pregnant.”

Lena laughed as you kissed her again and again and again. The rest of the world instantly forgotten. They were your world now, let all the rest be damned.

“The Great Fake Date” A Lena Luthor imagine

You stood in front of the hotel your boss sent you to. It was huge and easily the most expansive hotel in National City. Whoever requested you as their date had to have a lot of money. You straightened out your fanciest outfit before entering the hotel.

Immediately, you noticed the large sign pointing to what you could only assume was the ball room. The sign read L-Corp Charity Event in elegant writing. You grinned wildly because any event hosted by the Luthors meant everyone there had money. Even though you had heard terrible things about the Luthors, you figured they couldn’t be so bad if they were donating to charity. You stood up a little straighter and strutted down the hallway. When you reached the ball room, a man in a black tuxedo stopped you.

“Name.”

“Y/n y/l/n.”

“Not on the list, sorry.”

“What do you mean I’m not on the list? I was hi-“ you suddenly stopped yourself. People who hired fake dates typically didn’t want others to know about it. The man looked at you questionably, but before he could say anything a woman wearing a beautiful black dress walked up behind him.

“Did you say your name was y/n?” She asked nearly shoving the man out of the way.

“Yes.”

“Lena Luthor, I’m the one who requested you come tonight.” She held out her hand and you quickly accepted it. The man looked hesitant to allow you through but Lena was already pulling you into the lavish room. She dragged you to a corner of the room that was already finished being decorated, far away from the workers finishing the other side of the room.

“Nice to meet you, Ms. Luthor. Thank you for selecting our service.”

“You signed the NDA, correct?” She asked, looking very nervous.

“Correct. I signed it this morning.”

“Good. Let’s go over the rules, I don’t need you to do anything crazy tonight. Just be by my side and no excessive PDA, it’s unprofessional.”

“Okay, I can do that.”

“Excellent. I’m going to check and make sure things are going smoothly. Guest will be arriving in an hour, until then, feel free to enjoy the food and bar.”

Lena hastily turned around and headed towards an unmarked door, leaving you to your own devices. You weren’t accustomed to your fake dates leaving you alone, but most of your fake dates were for weddings, not big charity events. You decided to make your way over to the bar and get the party started early.

Two hours had gone by since you last saw Lena. Even though your “date” wasn’t around, you were productive with your time. You focused on talking to the younger people in the room since they were less experienced in the business world. So far you had convinced serval young men and women to donate large sums of money to charity and invest in L-Corp.

You had just finished speaking to Jimmy Olsen about CatCo’s donation when you spotted Lena. Figuring she needed you to actually do your job, you promptly strutted over to her. Carefully, you slid an arm around her waist. The woman she was speaking with stopped talking about something that sounded un-business related when you appeared.

“Lena, who is this beautiful person?” The woman asked in the stereotypical rich woman voice.

“This is y/n, my date for this evening.” Lena looked at you with a smile and moved a little closer to you.

“Wonderful to meet you, y/n. I’m Merium Zachary.”

“Please, the pleasure is all mine, Mrs. Zachary. I’m a fan of the philanthropic work you do with your husband.”

“You are? Many young people don’t care about the work we do.”

“Many young people are idiotic and very unaware of the difficulty other countries face.”

“My, my, Lena you have a good one on your hands. Let me go find Gregory, I’m sure he would love to speak with the two of you about a donation.” Merium shuffled away to find her husband while you looked at Lena lovingly.

“How did you do that? The Zachary’s never donate to L-Corp.”

“It’s all in the tone of voice and smile, my wonderful girlfriend.” You let go of her waist and picked up her hand. Cautiously, you pressed a soft kiss to her knuckle.

“You are really milking this.”

“I’m just trying to make you look good.”

“Keep it up, it’s obviously working.”

You and Lena make small talk until the Zacharys returned. You spent the rest of the night talking to them and trying to coax a large donation out of them. Gregory wrote out a check and secretly handed it to Lena. Before they left the event, they each congratulated you on your new relationship.

When the clock struck midnight, your date with Lena was officially over. She escorted you out to your car while holding your hand the whole way.

“Thank you for tonight, y/n. You were a wonderful date.”

“You’re welcome, Ms. Luthor. I’m glad I could help make money for the charity.”

“If you ever want to get out of the fake dating business, I’m sure I could find you a spot at L-Corp.”

“Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Goodnight, y/n.”

“Goodnight, Lena.” You got into your car and drove away, expecting to never see Lena again.

A few days later when you arrived home from another “date”, you were greeted by roses sitting on your doorstep. You carefully picked them up and read the note attached.

You grinned at the note. Your fake date lead to a real date and for once, you were excited about it.
