Something to Say? // Event: Crocus

This forest was one that Whisper was fairly familiar with- it was one of the first places she’d explored when she first wound up on Spirale, where she met that really tall man. She enjoyed getting out into the wilderness and getting up in high places every now and then, and it just so happened that someone had arrived recently who enjoyed such things too. With her new striped scarf wrapped around her, Whisper had seen fit to take Tangle on a little tour of some places on the island she was familiar with.

“Might need to wait for the snow to clear before they’re more suited for climbing.” Whisper knew well that Tangle would probably climb them anyway if she felt the urge, but she couldn’t hold it against her. She’d always just done things her own way, following her heart. The wolf really admired that about her friend, and she hoped that she could take that sort of attitude for her own one day...say things when she needed to, do what she truly desired, live in the moment...

As she thought this to herself, a cool winter breeze passed through the Forest of Airaisal, rustling some foliage nearby- vibrant flowers that somehow managed to fight through the chilling conditions to flourish...

unfortunately her muse hasn't been cooperating with me the way i'd like to, so for the moment i'd like to drop tangle the lemur from sonic the hedgehog, who was housed in 406! i'm sure i'll be bringing her back in the near future, but i need a little break for now!

It happens way too much around here for her comfort. They’re not dangerous, but she’d almost rather deal with the threats from back home.

Whisper saw Tangle look to the tree, guessing just what it was that she was thinking about. Another laugh slipped out- this one softer, more reserved. This girl's energy just drew her attention every time. Even when others were around, she so often found her eyes drifting over to look her way. With nobody else being around now, she hardly even looked ahead to make sure she wasn't walking off the path or into a tree.

At the moment, her eyes were forward to avoid eye contact after she came out with that all-too-open comment nearly against her will. When she heard Tangle responding though, she had to look over and see her. And she caught the sight of that blush, much like the one keeping her own cheeks warm in the frigid weather. Was it out of embarrassment at her saying that, or...?

"I'm...glad! I want to help you be happy any way I can...I really..." What was she saying? None of it was untrue, but she was saying so much!! Cheeks aglow with more intensity than before, Whisper steeled her will and forced herself to keep her mouth shut. Lips were pressed tight together, as if loosening them a bit would make all her feelings spill out- feelings she thought herself too worried about consequences to vocalize, but was growing ever more uncertain of that. And as she held the truth within her chest, a flower began to grow, crawling up and around her left boot..

Something to Say? // Event: Crocus

➲ Tangle shoved her hands in the pockets of the jacket while moving a little bit ahead of Whisper as they spoke, examining one of the nearby trees in closer detail. You know, just for future reference? She really did want to climb one, cursed by her lemur blood! But Whisper was right, this wasn’t really the climate for it. It was more of a climate for a snowball fight! But that would just get them cold and wet too. Drats!

Now, there weren’t any secrets between the two of them at this point. There was no denying that when they were in private, Whisper was way more open with Tangle now than she used to be. But the comments she made about her? “Oh! I appreciate you being here with me too!” The first seemed a little strange, but nothing all that unusual.

The second comment? It made Tangle blush immediately. That wasn’t usually the type of compliment that her wolf companion would freely share, at least not unprompted. “Y-Yeah? Isn’t that just how I always am though? Not that I don’t like it when you say stuff like that to me, Whisper. It makes me happy…” Wait, why was she oversharing!?
