Ladies Luncheon at Lemonade, Glass Half Full
Tumblr media
Recently, I’ve really begun to think that that “glass half-full” philosophy is a good way to view people we encounter. Are you surrounded by “half-full” people? People who choose to look at life through the filter of joy, wonder and possibility? Or, are there people in your world who are the “half-empty” people: people who create problems, mayhem, drama and choose to dwell on negativity on a regular basis? If you have people around you in that last group, maybe it’s time to reconsider how much time you spend around those people, and more importantly, how much energy you give to them. This wore heavy on my mind last week when I hosted the first “Ladies Who Lemonade” luncheon at @LemonadeLA. As I always do with my invite lists, I carefully considered personalities, energies and spirits when I was deciding which 15 women I would include in this sunny, intimate, inspiring day of candid conversation and sharing. Well, I chose wisely. We ended up with the PERFECT group of women - albeit, we ended up with 18 and a lengthy waiting list) - who shared from the heart, were open-hearted and open to meeting new women, were warm with their fellow guests-turned-friends, and women who genuinely wanted to be there. As one of my guests - @everythingevelyne - walked out, she thanked me and said, “I’m leaving here today feeling like I made new friends and gained inspiration. I feel inspired. Thank you. I will come to any event you host.”💗 That is what I wish for everyone I encounter to feel when we have an exchange. It’s a big wish, but if I keep it as my intention, it means it’s at least 50% more likely to happen than if I don’t. Thank you again, @LemonadeLA and your supportive staff -and pr and marketing team - who not only wet our whistles and filled our bellies, but also wet our wonder and filled our souls. : Stephanie Day-McGann Ographr #LadiesWhoLemonade #LiveLoveLemonade #EatColorfully #DineAndDishWithDawn — at Lemonade at Abbot Kinney.

Inspiring Ladies Who Lunch
Tumblr media
Ladies. I was raised by them in their roles as mothers, grandmothers and aunts, and I have been raised - and, lifted by them - in the roles of my friends. So, when I partnered with Lemonade LA to kick off a new little series called “Ladies Who Lemonade,” to celebrate their inspired cuisine with some of the most inspiring ladies I know, I really reflected on what exactly it means to be a “lady.” A lady is kind. And, Loving. And, supportive. And, strong. And, feisty. And, fun. And, charming. And, positive. And, passionate about everyone and everything she loves, while keeping those who would aim to be destructive within arms’ reach. So, I invited these 18 ladies who embody all that to me in the influencer space. While some of these ladies are new in my life, most of these ladies have - in some way - helped to build me as a human and/or build up my confidence, brand or business. They make me want to be an even more gracious lady than I already have been raised to be by my mother and grandmother, simply by shining in my ether. And, to be able to sip lemonade, enjoy delicious, farm-fresh and fun food, all while sharing our own Lemonade stories - i.e., the “sour that turned sweet” in our lives? Well, it was just almost too much sweet for this admitted sweet tooth to handle. Thank you, Lemonade at Abbot Kinney for hosting us. And, thank you ladies, for - well - being you in all your sweet, sour, SALTY splendor. Girls’ girls forever.💗 (Enjoy more photos over on Insta 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️🍋) #LadiesWhoLemonade #LiveLoveLemonade#EatColorfully #DawnsDestinations#DineAndDishWithDawn 📷: Stephanie Day-McGann for Ographr — with Elizabeth Odom Baker, Lynn Chen, Christine Tran,Stephanie Day-McGann, Loreen Hwang, Lauren Sheftell, Clarice McCoy, Arianna Thomopoulos,Kinya Claiborne, Leslie Durso, Caroline Juen,Andrew Freeman and Nastassia Johnson at Lemonade at Abbot Kinney.
