My whole life I’ve loved thanksgiving box stuffing. It’s one of my top five favorite foods..I look forward to thanksgiving every year purely for stuffing. Recently I’ve had an awakening and like. Realized I can just make stuffing whenever I want. I can buy a box of stuffing and make it in like 6 minutes. ..eggs are also one of my fav foods, so for dinner tonight I said fuck it and made eggs, avacado toast, and stuffing and lemme tell you it FUCKED
Like hell yeah I’m an adult! I have my own money and free will and I can just combine all my fav foods together for dinner regardless of what anyone else would think about it . Eggs and avacado toast a breakfast food ? FUCK it! Stuffing usually only for holidays or big family gathering meals? FUCK it! Hell yeah I’m enlightened

hi just thought everyone would want to know. I think I just made the all time best potatoes anyone has ever made ever. just wanted to share
#boil some russet potatoes in salt water until they’re fork soft#meanwhile heat olive oil in skillet and cook minced garlic and crushed coriander until fragrant#add chili paste to that#smash potatoes until chunky. add olive oil mix#taste. add more olive oil and salt and black pepper. stir stir stir. add some lemon zest and a few squeezes of lime juice#stir more. taste. add a shit ton of this specific seasoning blend from where I work#which consists of garlic powder salt and like. Rosemary basil and I don’t rmemeber what else. think like Italian seasoning#but heavy on the garlic and also it has red pepper flakes in it#taste. adjust seasoning levels as needed. taste a little more bc oh my god#put away for dinner tomorrow but taste a couple more times before you stick it in the fridge bc Oh My God#I don’t even LIKE potatoes very much. like they’re fine but Holy Shit

#<3#yippee#havent had salmon in forever ive missed you my wife#didnt notice we ran out of lemon pepper seasoning? so i had to whip up a little glaze thing#melted garlic butter black pepper salt and lemon juice. hopefully that goes well#it should bc im frying the broccoli in the same garlic butter and i always add lemon juice to my rice#so at least it should tie together in tastes. i love it when it does that

Damn you thick ass wild caught cod. Okay my first time that went so well was thinner cuts I will admit. This time was better than the last tho in terms of me managing the thick ass piece but not perfect. Way more delicious however.
#nobody cares but for the seasoning i did it similar to the cajun style catfish i grew up having but without the breading obvs#a little flour so it didnt stick to the pan as per usual but thyme garlic powder onion powder pepper paprika sea salt cayenne pepper#measured with my heart lol#half butter half olive oil for the pan tho like the lemon butter recipe#finished it with lemon juice. it was super good.#i just want like a picture perfect plate to brag about now that i have set out to get this down ya know#-pers

forgot to eat all day so am making salmon + a rice mix + jalapeno poppers
#two of three are bought mostly mixed but am seasoning the salmon on my own#well am using seasoning mixes but. close enough.#olive oil + lemon pepper + a seasoning mix meant for potatoes but garlic & onion & dill are good flavors for salmon so on the dish it goes#one day i'll get back to cooking meals mostly from scratch but. not tonight.#i have some ground turkey i defrosted and am going to try to make a rice bowl with cauliflower and broccoli this weekend so.#also!! the brisket#and maybe pick up some ribs for sunday? i can get a half rack for 5ish bucks. would need sides though. hm.#much to consider!! will have to see whats on sale/reduced

You can barely tell because I'm still, you know, posting, but the amount of time I spend here has decreased massively. Most of it was just scrolling out of restlessness and not actually wanting to post something lmao.
#Tomorrow my break ends so I want to quit it entirely save for designated log-in times so I don't lose touch with the mutuals <3#I'm thinking every three days or so. We'll see.#Ok I'm going to cram as many little updates as I can in the tags so I don't get tempted to log in again after this.#I learned to prepare a new lunch (toast with cream cheese and guacamole) and it's good even with the pepper mill missing#(so only seasoned with salt and lemon). It must be even better with pepper.#I copied it from something I ordered at a cafe a few days ago--kind of proud of it.#I'm also kind of proud of the fact that even though I've never prepared vegetables before (bell pepper and onion)#I could do it just from remembering the years of watching my mum cook. Without even the intent of learning.#I just absorbed by osmosis which parts she cut off and could replicate it pretty well.#Overall even though the current situation re:life would look pretty grim from the outside for a couple of reasons#I feels miles better just from the fact that I'm not playing cards and opening Tumblr and Discord like the fridge all the time.#I'm on track to finish Midnight's Children soon and loving it. Idk what I'll read next but I'm excited for whatever it is.#And I'm almost done learning my lines. In the nick of time before our first rehearsal.#I'm also rekindling my love for classical music. And my love affair with ancient Rome is alive and well.#I also started playing chess again. I want to write... And I might pick up violin again this time just for me.#Still drawing a blank as to what I want to *do* for the next years but maybe I'll get there. I'm thinking of getting a job.#l33chsp34k
