20240514: the History of LEGO Castle day 135. 5994 Catapult Polybag (2005, 27 pieces, 15 different parts) 5996 Rascus Polybag (2005, 6 pieces, 6 different parts) 5998 Vladek Polybag (2005, 6 pieces, 6 different parts) 5999 Jayko Polybag (2005, 6 pieces, 6 different parts) For the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005, Knights Kingdom II produced a small black and light bluish gray catapult on a white 4x6 plate with small reddish brown "hockey puck" wheels and a medium blue horse helmet on the front, a Rascus polybag, a Vladek polybag, and a Jayko polybag. The Rascus polybag was never actually produced and it was the only set with a green spear and a green axe wielder helmet. The Vladek polybag had Vladek with a black axe wielder helmet, a yellow minifigure head with black scruffy bangs, striped sideburns, and a smirk with mustache, a black torso with a black scorpion on a dark red background with dark red arms and black hands, and black legs with a dark red belt and also included the white rectangular shield with a black scorpion on a dark red background and a black halberd. This minifigure with a different helmet and without the shield was also found in 851499 Chess. The Jayko polybag had Jayko with a medium blue pike helmet, a yellow minifigure head with gray beard and mustache, a medium blue torso with white geometric print, medium blue arms and light bluish gray hands, medium blue legs with a light bluish gray belt, and also included a white rectangular shield with a tan hawk head on a medium blue background and a medium blue crossbow. All three of the minifigure polybags used different heads than used throughout the rest of the Knights Kingdom for those characters. 5994 Catapult and 5999 were also part of 50799 Knights Kingdom Adventure Box, which included a Scholastic Press Knights Kingdom book. 2004-2006 also produced a number of large, buildable figures and Nestle promotion figures, none of which will be included in this project. Additionally, a number of books and other related material were produced for this LEGO Castle subtheme, including: -Nine story books, 50399 the Lost Kingdom, 70232 the Dark Fortress, b50933 Quest for the Tower, 79790g the Quest for the Heart, 70231 the Grand Tournament, b321 Welcome of the Kingdom of Morcia stickerbook, 221216 the Search for the Stolen Amulet, 70230 Search for the King, and 50999 Battle for Morcia Magnetic Storybook. -A comic book, 8000076 Find the Shield Save the Kingdom - Jayko's Quest. -A punch out play set / puzzle book, 4397880 Adventures in Morcia. -A number of trading cards (~110). -31317 Save the Kingdom Board Game, with the minifigures with geometric armor for Danju (dark purple), Jayko (medium blue), Rascus (green), Santis (red), and Vladek (black), which also had a German version 218066 Das Spiel, a French version 218141 Le Jeu, and the multi-language 218158, and GBA684 Game Boy Advance Knights Kingdom. -4250348 Clock Set and 4250349 Watch Set with Jayko minifigure. -851495 King Mathias, 851734 King Jayko, and 851735 Dracus key chain. -851542 Magnet Set Blister Pack with Danju, Jayko, King Mathias, Rascus, Santis, and Vladek and 4267641 Magnet Set with Jayko, Santis, and Vladek magnets. -4270057 Photo Frame Castle with Jayko minifigure.

20240522: the History of LEGO Castle day 143. 851499 Knights Kingdom Chess (2005, 191 pieces, 31 different parts) There are 24 minifigures in this set. The black pawn has a white rectangular shield with a black scorpion on a dark red background and a black halberd. This figure was also used in 5998 Vladek polybag. The medium blue pawn has a white rectangular shield with a tan hawk head on a medium blue background and a medium blue crossbow. This figure was also used in 5999 Jayko polybag. Parts inventory for this set can be found on BrickLink or Rebrickable and there are no instructions for this set :)

20240509: the History of LEGO Castle day 130. 8779 Grand Tournament (2004, 324 pieces, 105 different parts) The Grand Tournament is comprised of one tall banner stand with a red scorpion on a black background, one tall banner stand with a gold hawk on a medium blue background, one dark red, white, and light gray launching tower, one medium blue, white, and light gray launching tower, a black brick built horse with light bluish gray wheels and a dark red horse helmet, a white brick built horse with light bluish gray wheels and a medium blue horse helmet, a weapons stand with a large halberd, a large pike, a red angular sword, a reddish gold angular sword, and a tall light bluish gray throne and observer stand with rotating dark red and medium blue bricks to signal points. This set introduces the minifigures of Jayko, Shadow Knight Vladek, and King Mathias. -Jayko has a medium blue full face visor, a medium blue helmet, a yellow minifigure head with a straight black line of bangs, a plain medium blue torso with light bluish gray hands, medium blue armor with a geometric pattern, medium blue legs with a light bluish gray belt, a medium blue rectagular shield with a tan hawk head on each side, and a white lance. -Vladek has a black helmet with a black full face visor, a yellow minifigure head with black sideburns with white stripes, a small black forehead "v", black upside down "v" eyebrows, and black chin marks, a plain black torso with black arms and hands, black armor with a dark red geometric pattern, and black legs with a red belt. -King Mathias has a chrome gold crown, a yellow minifigure head with a gray bang line, a gray beard and mustache, a light bluish gray torso with royal blue / blue violet arms with black hands and a black printed sideways lion head on a gold background, and dark bluish gray legs with a royal blue / blue violet belt. New and unique parts for this set include: -This is the only set with the reddish brown 1x8 bar with 1x2 curved top end. -The large plastic Jayko and Shadow Knight banners were only found in this set, though variations of these parts were found 8800 Vladek's Siege Engine and in the large buildable characters of the three different versions of Vladek (8774 European without cards and 8786-1 and 8786-2 USA with three cards or six cards) and Jayko (8783-1 and 8783-2 USA with three cards or six cards). -The medium blue 1x6 brick was only found in this set and 4421 Box of Bricks. -The two-sided 2x2 black plastic flags with a black sideways lion head print on a gold background and red scorpion on a black background were only found in three sets, 8779 Grand Tournament, 8781 Castle of Morcia, and 8800 Vladek's Siege Engine, the dark red 2x10 plate was also only found in three sets, 4758 Hogwarts Express, 8779 Grand Tournament, and 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress, and the medium blue 1x4 left wave flag is also only found in three sets, 8779 Grand Tournament, 8799 Knight's Castle Wall, and 851499 Chess. -The medium blue horse helmet was found in five sets, 5994 Catapult Polybag, 8779 Grand Tournament, 8876 Scorpion Prison Cave, 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress, and 851499 Chess) and the white 2x4x3 brick was also only found in five sets. -The 3x8x6 castle panel wall with window cutout was found in six sets in light bluish gray (8779 Grand Tournament, 8780 Citadel of Orlan, 8781 Castle of Morcia, 8799 Knight's Castle Wall, 8813 Battle at the Pass, and 8823 Battle at the Pass), three sets in black (7785 Arkham Asylum, 8876 Scorpion Prison Cave, and 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress), and one set in bright pink (7579 Blossom Fairy). -This set introduced the large pike with four side blades. -Royal blue / blue violet pieces for this set include: 1x2 bricks, 3x1 slopes, 3x2 slopes, 2x2x2 quadruple convex slopes, and 4x2 double inverted slope with 2x2 cutout.
