𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝟷 → 𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝟸 → 𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝟹
Disclaimer: my guts are telling me most of you already know the extent of your own capabilities, so this reading will hardly contain surprises for you but information that would help you to acknowledge your talents and find out how profitable they could be for you.
𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝟷
You’re a natural money maker and manifestor. I see two remarkable yet different paths for you. The first invites you to connect with your body and use it as a tool. You might not know yet the limits to your body's strength or all the marvelous things you can do with it. Your movements are very graceful, like those of a cat or mantis. You have a talent for dancing and it would be convenient if you go for something slow paced as people is expecting to see the patterns of your moves. You could excel at yoga, taichi or another martial art as long as you can show off your body's flexibility and control. You have strong legs or that option is open for you.
Second path addresses your intellect and what you could do with it. You might be an Earth sign (rising, sun, moon or stellium) as I can tell you’re a sensory person. You like touching things, feeling their textures between your fingers or against your skin, and you would go only for whatever gets you to feel safe/comfortable. Nobody can make you change your mind when it comes to your preferences and you have a tendency to shelter in your own knowledge. You could become a prestigious university professor if you pursue an academic career.
You also have the gift of teaching and expressing your ideas in a clear and straightforward way.
Hi! I hope you liked this collective reading. Interested in getting a personal service? I'm offering these readings in honor of spooky season and their purpose is revealing the hidden aspects of your person, including talents, charms, beliefs and secret lovers.
𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝟸
I see someone with great potential for the fine arts that unfortunately had been repressed. Perhaps by yourself or it was your parents. It doesn’t matter now, but it’s time you check whether you had the same self-limiting mindset from the past or not. You could've had high expectations on everything you did and wanted to, or you could have honestly believed all artists were poor and lunatic. Some of your skills remain hidden, unexplored for who knows how long. Your fear of failure is stronger than your love for the crafts. Unbelievable! When I am addressing a legit craftsman. Don't be afraid of challenging your abilities and discovering who you are. I see that some of you are dying to dye your hair of fantasy colors, and congratulations to those who did it already.
You have many interests as it is reflected on the cards, pile 2. You could do well with pottery, clay, wood carving, and sculptures. Goldsmithing could awaken in you a new interest in stones and minerals. I can tell witchery and the occult have also caught your eye. Not sure if you would devote yourself to witchcraft but the paintings or literature that allude to the obscure and ancient myths are definitely your jam. Your artworks could portray bright colors, and you might occasionally shift to colder colors or a monochromatic style. Your imagination is unstoppable, your creativity does not know of limits. You only have to overcome your fears and have faith on the process. Your art might not be able to pay your life expenses if you pursue an artistic career but this could be a fulfilling side job instead.

Here we got someone that was serious about keeping their talents to themselves, lol. I see it’s not a matter of being ashamed about what you can offer or not, but you’re an overachiever and you won’t perform for the world until you have practiced a thousand times and you can deemed your technique as perfect! For another group you might only display your talents before the people you think as deserving of such honor.
You are a jack of all trades and have many interests. You could be good at singing, dancing, and acting. Even at cooking! You've thought about making a living out of your not-so-hidden talents before. You also know how to identify patterns quickly, you might have a mathematical mind that you can keep cultivating, and for this reason you could excel at astrology or languages.
You are beyond charming and could work as a host or providing entertainment for others. If you are a woman, you have the energy of a seductress or female fatale. If you are a man, your energy is dark and alluring. You tend to get away with anything by using solely your words.
You have multiple ideas bombarding you all time, so you could have frequent headaches given the dark thoughts you get about failing to be successful at your dream job. You worry you might not make a living out of your talents and got to settle for an average job. The idea of having a boss that is not yourself makes you go sour. If you dare to take a leap of faith, there won’t be a point of return and from then forward you would focus on your career.

TMSOURCE SECRET SANTA 2023
Another year, another Secret Santa event! Similarly to previous years, all Mentalist lovers are invited once again to become each other's secret santas and share gifts of any creative type! More information on rules and participation is under the cut.
How it Works
The basic concept is that you will be assigned with making a gift for another person among the participants. Likewise, someone else will be assigned with making a gift for you. In a Secret Santa gift exchange, the person who’s making a gift for you, or in other words, your “Secret Santa”, cannot be revealed until the actual gift exchange starts.
Participation
You can apply to participate simply by sending a ‘⭐’ to our askbox, so we’ll mark down your url. Applications will be accepted until the 25th of November. If you choose to participate, we would ask of you to please stay committed to the task as this is a mutual gift exchange and it would be unfair for someone to not receive a gift. In case you absolutely need to withdraw, we would appreciate it if you inform us in time for us to arrange a replacement.
Assignment of Secret Santas
The urls/names will be matched using a random list generator. On the 26th of November, each of you will be given the url/name of the person you’ll be making a gift for! Remember to check your asks and mark down the date if possible, so that you don’t miss our message(s).
Posting
All gifts must be posted on December 31st on your respective blogs. Make sure to tag the person you made the gift for and use the tags #tmsecretsanta2023 and #tmsource so that we can reblog it here as well!
Things to Keep In Mind
⭐ You must not reveal whose “Secret Santa” you are, until you post their gift.
⭐ You’re allowed to message the person you were assigned to ANONYMOUSLY in order to ask them their preferences or exactly what they would like for a gift.
⭐ This gift exchange is limited to tumblr only, which means no physical gifts. If an anon asks for your real address to send you a gift related to this event, we cannot guarantee that they are legit, so be careful where you put your trust.
Calendar
⭐ November 17-25: Send applications!
⭐ November 26: Assignment of Secret Santas!
⭐ December 31: Post gifts!
Feel free to ask us to clarify anything you find confusing about this event and also don’t hesitate to contact us in case you encounter any problems, either with the person you were assigned to or other technicalities. We would also appreciate it if you could reblog this to spread the word. We can’t wait to see all your creations! Happy Holidays!

Thoughts on communal Yandere crew? Probably just platonic, granted, but still. I'm thinking Whitebeards specifically. Like, they're all yandere but relatively stable so most don't notice, even if they're a 'darling' and most members have rules. Like, Ace has to eat with someone so he doesn't drown in his soup. Marco has designated rest times that are enforced. Whitebeard has a drinking limit. Ect. Ect. Some have favorites, like any normal family, but they look after their own. It just feels like a somewhat overprotective family right up until someone is threatened or tries to leave without clearing it first. For the latter, they'll probably be grounded and maybe more depending on how they try to leave. The former? Nothing left to identify and it all happens so FAST.
New crewmates tend to wave off red flags. Like, how does Thatch ALREADY know their favorite food? How did Marco know they were being harassed by Marines? Why can't they go anywhere without seeing a 'brother' or 'sister' around every corner? *Shrugs* must be because it's such a big crew.
I mean... Ace was literally recruited with low-key Stockholm tactics, so it's not like it's far off from canon. I imagine legit yandere Whitebeards would be impossible to leave, difficult to figure out, and really good at the whole "You'll love it here if you'd just accept that we want to love you!" bit. Which is touching if you ignore the very real possibility that you slide too far into 'beloved darling' territory and never have any real freedom again.
For your own good, of course.
Tumblr media
Certainly, my friend, it is just as you say (especially in part about Ace and how he ended up with the whitebeard pirates) and that is, if we really think and get a little creative by distorting the plot of the series, almost all pirate groups would be platonic yanderes with their own members, since we have seen how several of their captains care about their nakamas, an example of this is Trafalgar Law or Esusstas Kid in Wano
But yes, the best demonstration of a platonic yandere pirate group with its members, is definitely the whitebeard pirates, (which I like to think that whitebeard had the yandere disease thanks to his harsh childhood and he indirectly instilled it in each son that came to his crew) after all, Ace (if we see it in a yandere perspective) was looking for Teach to kill him and thus avenge Thatch's death, isn't that what yanderes do?, kill for the beings they love?
Not only that, Whitebeard in marineford was also shown to be a platonic yandere along with his group, after all, how many lives were lost in that battle, just to save a young fool who underestimated his enemy
Now that I think about it, Ace could well have been the darling of the whitebeard pirates and we hadn't realized it

Kafka here rising from the dead to say I feel you so much on all your Bravefonse stuff. I am so disappointed too!! And it kinda gives me an icky feeling, this almost retconning of Gustav who was clearly so crappy to Alfonse and Sharena as a straight up good dad, no complexity what so ever. This is just more fuel for me to eventually write my Domi dunks on Gustav and helps Alfonse sort out his feelings™️ fic
YEAH.... YEAH............ I have been SO all over the place about it (as you can. Fucking See LMFAOO). On one hand, it Does give you a lot of material to work with, from a writing standpoint. But dear god. Like I cannot get Book 3 Gustav out of my mind. Every fucking line he says to Alfonse legit gobsmacked me and set off my panic response 🧍 Like Jesus Christ......
But again! It is a really interesting creative exercise to try and figure out how to approach Alfonse's feelings with the appropriate amount of care, consideration, restraint, while Gently. So so gently. Trying to open his eyes to it. Trying to tell him that the way his father, who he loves very much, who he sees as this idealized role model to strive for, who he so desperately just wants to feel loved by, too. To do right by him. Trying to tell Alfonse, hey. The way your father spoke to you is Not Normal. That's not what love is supposed to look like.
But trying to communicate something like that, even as I write it here, feels like an oversimplification of the situation... that only serves to paint Gustav as a Bad Person (which. Regardless let's stay focused here), implies that there's a "correct" and "incorrect" way to love, and that people who have abusive behaviors Can't have any real or genuine love and care for whoever is on the receiving end of the mistreatment, and ultimately it invalidates the first person's real and genuine feelings for the other (so in this case, Alfonse's feelings about Gustav).
Another thing I'm always examining is Fear. It is abundantly clear to me that Gustav acts the way he does to Alfonse, because he's scared. Idk idk there's a Million things you can fucking say about it, but it does come back to that "Do as I Say, Not As I Do". And that same sex parent projecting themselves to their child. "My experiences will be Your experiences, because we're The Same". And if the experiences were Bad, there's the Fear. "I don't want you to go through what I've been through. I'm Protecting You".
Gustav... just has an extremely upsetting outright abusive way of going about it. As though, if he can Overpower the problem, it will be Solved.
Sorry in too deep, Gustav Jumpscare (also due to image limits, I'll write down this line I think is important)
Gustav: "If you had miscalculated even slightly, you'd be dead now. Dead, Alfonse."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And. Focal point here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like this is exactly what I'm talking about, and why I included all of Alfonse's responses (even the small ones. Especially the small ones).
Alfonse made a risky decision that did pay off. But it scared Gustav. It reminded Gustav of himself, of his father, and also genuinely, he does love his son (stay with me. I know. It's the hardest part for me, too). He doesn't want Alfonse to die. As his heir, of course, but as his son, too.
So, how does he express this...? He tries to take full control of the situation. To Overpower the situation. He's King, after all. To do this, he needs to overpower Alfonse. By any means necessary, he needs to beat this out of Alfonse. He needs to eliminate the threat. That way, Alfonse is Safe. That way, Gustav has successfully Protected Alfonse.
It's just... such a terrible thing to watch unfold. Especially in how Alfonse caves in. I mean. What else can you do in that situation. There's nothing else you can do.
Idk idk I'm just always examining it. Reaching out my hand, let's all start a Summoner led Alfonse support group together (Sharena too, because my god she did not get out unscathed either)

Hey! I saw that you published some books (looking forward to checking them out, actually), but I was wondering how you did that? I'm not out of high school yet, but I've already finished my first draft of book one of my series, and have been working on editing and fixing up the second draft. I do have an editor, which is nice. I was wondering how you published? Any advice/ info would be greatly appreciated!
Hey, cool! My first book legit came out when I was still in high school.
I'm an indie author, so I'll talk about indie stuff... and traditional... and oh dear that's a lot.
Let's go over some pros and cons and what to expect.
Crow's (oops not) Quick Guide to Publishin'
Self Publishing:
Tumblr media
This is what I did for Good Angel, Bad End, my duology!
Self pubbing:
+Total control of end product +No deadlines +Full control of changing it at any time -You do all the work (or pay) -It costs you money for jobs you can't (or shouldn't) do yourself like editing -Extremely limited reach of audience, very hard to sell
I queried GA/BE around a bit but ultimately decided to self publish it. It's just too niche for mainstream, being a weird genre mix up with way too queer characters. Multiple neopronouns used by funky angels in magic school slice of life that turns apocalyptic? yeah, I felt it'd be best I just put it out.
You'll need to
Edit the text (I'd recc multiple friends, a paid editor)
Proofread the text (I'd recc paying a pro)
Assemble the text files formatting (for digital, print)
Get a cover
Make pages for it on GoodReads etc and promote it
Self-publishing can be a lot of work. I did GA/BE's interiors myself using first Microsoft word, then adobe indesign for the recent revamp. Using Word/other text programs can give you a fully workable interior file, but abusing the free trial system of adobe will allow more advanced inclusions. Getting ebook files to work is a nightmare, and print can also be a pain- it's a lot of following online tutorials and trial and error I found. Calibre then is the program you use to finish digital files for release.
Costs for editing can be very high. Editing is a high skill, high time job- I got my books done on discount from a friend for next to nothing, but expect definitely a few hundred bucks. Research though fair prices. You don't need to hire someone to proofread or edit, but it is a good idea. That or outsource to many friends, ideally ones who give honest feedback. A proofreader is much cheaper as they only look for errors, I again got it cheap for 65£ per book. Art wise, I bought mine on commission- talk to an artist and make it clear it is for a commercial project and that you have the right to sell the end result. My cover for each book was about 100£
You might notice this is adding up to a few hundred quid, and yes: it cost me like, 350£ or so per book to publish, even with myself doing a lot of the work. This is a lot! Does it pay back? Usually no. I have at this point now "made a profit", but it took years. You can't typically go into self publishing looking for profit.
I really enjoy self publishing GA. It meant I could put a project out that I kinda only made for me, and have full rights to do whatever I want with it. I got to design the cover and choose what to do at every step... but it was a crazy amount of intensive work too. Marketing wise I've found is about impossible- your best bet 100% is to send the book to as many people as possible (digitally) for review and just try to get enough people reading it. Then you hope they like it and talk about it. I've found no other method of marketing particularly useful: word of mouth is still king.
Indie Publishing:
Tumblr media
Indie pubbin:
+Don't have to spend any money (get paid) +Professional editing/cover/formatting +Backing of publishing house's marketing team -Deadlines -Less creative control -Contracted -Must query and be accepted
My first book was Angel Radio, which actually I sold when I was 17. came out when I was 18. The timescale for traditional publishing, even indie, is typically at least a year.
There's a lot of indie publishers out there, and we should read them more often. However, being published by an indie publisher (aka, a small, non-mainstream one- unlikely to ever be 'on shelves') takes extra, different work.
Do your research!!! There's a LOT of scam publishers out there. A publisher will never, ever, not even slightly ever, charge you money or pressure you to spend money (like buying your own copies of the book). A great way to check is to just look up 'publisher name + scam'.
Prepare a query letter. This is a pitch for your book, basic book info, and a bit about you. Every publishing house will have a 'submissions' page which explains specific wants (such as several pages of your book or a synopsis), so every application is slightly custom.
Query and wait. It takes many weeks to hear back with queries. Usually you should do them in small batches of like five. It's very rare to get a deal- it may not be your book, it might just be market trends or they already got a book about dragons on order.
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CONTRACT. Contracts can be hard, so seek help if you want, though I've found my one contract to be not that long and readable. Still, you should always read a contract, especially as a scam publisher might try to trick you there.
Indie publishing is good because... it's more accessible and diverse than mainstream, but still offers the same benefits to authors. Just on a way smaller scale. I don't think my publisher, Harmony Ink Press, did much jack or shit for me marketing wise, and that's pretty typical. Marketing is very hit or miss and very expensive, so the onus is still on you to market (spoilers, these days marketing is on you no matter what). You also have more leeway in edits and covers- I designed AR's rough cover and worked with the artist directly! That's uncommon.
Most indie publishers also have a common royalty scheme where you pay it back. This isn't a hallmark of a scam, it's pretty normal: You get advance cash upfront, but then do not earn royalties until your book has paid itself off. Which it may not. Angel Radio sold for 500$, not a huge amount but not exactly tiny, especially for a teen. But I haven't earned a penny on royalties because it never sold well enough! I think I'm a little over halfway there.
Traditional Publishing
(I don't have a book of this type. yet...?)
Y'know, like, books?
+Large advance +Big support team +Marketing +Books on shelves +Most lucrative and recognizable -Sharper deadlines -Least control and rights -Must query (hardcore mode) -Still marketing yourself
Traditional publishing is the longest timescale and hardest method. Obvs. You again are looking to write a good query, but now you need to go through a literary agent. You query an agent with your book (again, should only ever be free), the agent then essentially queries publishers on your behalf ("out on submission"). An agent is your liaison to the business of publishing, taking a portion of your earnings for the service. You just can't make it into publishing without an agent.
A query letter ideally is... roughly, quickly, this is my format guide.
Hi there [actual agent name]
I'm here proposing my cool book, XYZ of ABC, a GENRE book of ??k words that IS SOMETHING UNIQUE SELLING POINT. MAIN CHARACTER is LIKE THIS but faced CONFLICT when PLOT HAPPENS, in SOME KINDA WORLD OR WHATEVER. THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU WRITE A 2-3 SENTENCE PLOT BLURB. But when TWIST happens, will MC have SOME EYECATCHING IDEA? This book will appeal to fans of THIS KINDA THING and is extra good because RELEVENT DETAIL LIKE OWNVOICES. I believe JUST KEEP SELLING KID. I myself SOME SORT OF ACCOMPLISHMENT LIKE UNI, PAIRED WITH A RELEVANT HOBBY. thank you for your time
Hot and dirty, something like that. You gotta recall at all times this is a market. It is economic. Your passion... matters, but uh. It doesn't matter. Gosh that sounds rough. But make your passion clear but your sound business proposal clearer: You need to show why your book is worth picking over thousands of other queries.
Querying is a horrible torturous process that does help you slowly build up exposure therapy to rejection and failure. Anyways, that will take a bit typically (I've been querying on and off for ten years for an agent, but a lot has been 'off' time). Then you wait and eventually, bam! Probably post some edits, your book is sold.
You still wait a long time though, and have a lot of work to do. So much work. Your book will come out on shelves at the end, sure, but that's still not a promise of success. The author these days is especially the product, and while you start on a higher stage (maybe even the marketing team will f---ing do something), you still gotta claw. There's a high level of scrutiny too on debut authors on any tier, but especially the traditional publishing tier. So your success is very dependent on each book you do, with it being harder and harder to sell books if you aren't doing fantastic.
Still, it's hard to deny the appeal of that mainstream success. Man, I'm chasing it myself! But it's not just easy book out there you go. I'm pals with traditionally published authors and you'll still be very busy, if you can get your foot on the ladder with an agent to begin with. Being on submission generally takes months, and even when your book is with a publisher it may be a lot of time and work before it ever comes out. Even then, hitting the shelves still doesn't mean you're set for life.
Still. Good luck. Go try!
(BTW look at my books, I guess, as a sticker on what I hope is good advice, and good luck! I first decided to try publishing Angel Radio with HIP because of a post by someone else published by them on tumblr... like 10 years ago now....)

Have you ever thought of making an actual game? Even a little one?? Your 'Atom Amulet' art and gif look soooo good they legit fooled me for a bit when I first looked at them into thinking they were from a real game! Your enjoyment and respect for glitches and games as a medium is really neat, and tbh I'm super curious what you'd make! As someone who actually played a few weird old PS1 and computer games as a kid, sooo many attempts at 'retro low-poly style' games I see always break my immersion when I can see like.. too much anti-aliasing, too many things rendered in real time instead of prerendered (not extremely subtle stuff like raytracing or font choice, which gave away Petscop to a few incredibly observant people lol), etc.. part of the charm of old 3D games is devs clearly trying extremely hard to work with limitations of disc space and RAM! No one's cutting corners! Also the design for Atom Amulet's character is the kind I've been wanting to see SO badly in modern-retro games.. no one ever goes for 'rounded little creature guy who looks a little wonky' designs like you see in Creatures or SHEEP because they think it's too ugly! But it looks COOL! And that's part of why it really seemed like an actual old game to me at first.. I like your blog and art, your passion for games and glitches is really inspiring! Nice job on the animation and 3D art!
AHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH ANON ;__; This made me really happy to read... Trust me, I have daydreamed extensively about the kind of games I'd like to make, so I've definitely got ideas for stuff like that. Animation and 3D art in general is my main focus right now though, since I've got a lot I want to create, and still a LOT to learn as well, LOL. I would probably be most interested in making a game with a small team or creative partner, since even small games can be incredibly taxing to create and I'd prefer not to mentally and/or physically implode. (My main problem is mostly finding those people... I'm not good at initiating this kind of thing.)
Anyway, I absolutely agree on being kinda disinterested in a lot of 'retro low-poly' aesthetics, just because they feel too divorced from the actual technology that gave the style a reason to exist in the first place. That's not to say at all I think this style should exist in a chronological vacuum, or that it shouldn't be iterated upon with modern technology, but that it just looks too clean too often, too streamlined! I don't want that! I want WONKINESS!!!
I don't think it's necessarily a fear of this sort of 'ugliness', or at least not always—it's more so that this wonkiness can be sometimes hard to achieve at all. Like. Hold on. I could write stupid poetical paragraphs about this concept, but I think this post sums it up 10,000 times better than I ever could.
Tumblr media
The primary function of a comic is to tell a story that is best shown through the format of sequential images. So you might expect that anything made for a primarily visual medium must look 'good' to be effective, right? But it doesn't; MS Paint's ugly palettes and pixelated pens only serve to amplify the expressiveness in this image. It looks silly and simplistic, and that's exactly why it works. Whether this was intended by the artist is irrelevant. It's effective not despite its strange, subtle stiltedness, but because of it.
It reminds me of this post about animation by PilotRedSun, which I think about a lot:
I’ve learned a bit of animation fundamentals, branched out to other styles . . . but I still adhere to the rule that every animation on my channel should have a dysfunctional aspect to it. When an animation contains an error, it distracts the viewer. Thus when an animation is composed of errors, it mesmerizes the viewer.
Video games are interesting to compare to comics and animation in this sense, because most games are made simply to be played. Despite being a visual medium, it isn't necessarily expected to look good; it just has to function as an interactive experience. This emphasis on functionality, created through technological limitations of the time, is exactly what originated low-poly and pixelated styles. Older video game art didn't need to be particularly beautiful, just purposeful. You take a concept, put it on the screen, and continue stripping away pixels and polygons until only its most minimal existence remains, because if you don't, you won't be able to fit it within your meager 64 MB cartridge capacity. It looks wonky, and may not really resemble the initial concept as you saw it anymore... but it works.
That's not to say huge, high-res canvases of pixel art and raytracing on low-poly renders can't be uniquely beautiful as well—I think the ways these styles are innovated with modern technology is just as intriguing. The fundamental aspects of these styles will always be worth exploring, because at their core, they're about conveying things in unconventional ways. Simplicity makes it stilted and strange, and 'ugliness' is what makes it so evocative.
But like I said, I don't think it's a matter of intentionally avoiding these more subtle sorts of strangeness. It's just that harnessing and embracing it to its full extent is very hard. Particularly because modern technology often just... lacks limits. You can do practically anything with it, and that's the problem. If you have a decent GPU and the capacity to follow basic instructions, you can make a simple yet frighteningly hyper-realistic 3D scene in mere minutes, the kind that older video game developers could have only dreamed of. And technologically, it's impressive, but that's it. There are no corners cut, no concepts compressed, and nothing your computer can't handle for you. As soon as the realistic refractions and flashy lights fade, you realize it's all a little empty beyond the subdivision surfaces.
It's easy to get lost in a world without limitations, because empty canvases are just as freeing as they are intimidating. Making beautiful things because you can is obviously fun, and often impressive, but it gets boring. Sometimes I simply want to see things breaking at their seams, stripped down to the point of struggling to exist at all, and working—and being not just beautiful because of it, but fundamentally fascinating.

Writing Commissions Open!
Tumblr media
Time to update my commissions post! Hi! Having gotten my MFA in Creative Writing I now have a useless piece of paper because I didn’t go into teaching, but I can write pretty darn well! Ever want a fanfiction of certain characters, but just couldn’t find any? Ever wanted a “Character x reader” scenario, but come up short? Ever wanted your own characters to play out in a scene but lack to capacity to flush it out? Ever want a poem for your crush / arch enemy but can’t come up with a rhyme to save your life?? That’s what I’m here to offer, my friend! As I wish to expand my repertoire, nothing is off-limits!
You want sex? Done!
You want violence? Done!
You want a heart-warming Hallmark movie moment that’s so sickeningly sweet it gives you cavities? Done and done!!
You want underage x adult dubcon smut?? Sorry, that's the one exception and makes me feel icky.
Example of one of my writing styles: [link] (This is the only published story I have unfortunately, if you want other examples feel free to ask!)
Price: $.01 per word
250 words = one page = $2.50
1000 words = four pages = $10
2000 words = eight pages = $20
**Anything over 2.5k and the extra words will be an added $.02/word because that's a lot of words to write**
Word numbers will round down if the word count is over due to the sentence length. For example, it might be 1008 words but I will still only charge $10
If you are interested in getting a written commission, please contact me via the messenger! As I’ve been getting bots in my messenger lately, please start off saying you want a commission so I know it’s legit and I don’t block you by accident.
Reblogs appreciated! Thank you!

The Pungent Darling
Hello world!! The Pungent Darling is run by Michelle. Trying to fight imposter syndrome one post at a time. If it were up to me I’d only be going by Pungent Darling, but my mom insisted on me keeping my name in here somewhere. This was after I lectured her on why someone would choose to write with a pen name. I told her mine was for the anxiety of putting myself out into the world. This is terrifying!! But still she persisted. So, here we are, welcome to the blog where thoughts, opinions, creativity, reviews and rants will be held. Light a candle, grab some snacks and don’t forget a drink, this is going to be a post about my background to make me feel legit on why I deserve to start a blog.
If you know me, you know how much I constantly talk about “when I start my fashion / music blog,” or “when I interview [any celebrity] I’m going to ask them…” One of my brothers once told me “I’ll let you interview me when you’ve got the story” haha, harsh!! What can I say, I’m a dreamer with my head in the clouds. While I was up in the clouds letting my mind wander I started to remember all the things I did before I shut off my creativity. I stopped having goals for myself and ended up in the ether untied to anything. I’m starting to ground myself again and walk the talk.
I used to have a tumblr blog of pictures I would take of bands at their concerts, some with a photo pass, some from the crowd. It was a blast!! But I forgot the login, so that is a chapter of my life I won’t be able to edit. The feeling of adrenaline while photographing a band between the stage and barricades is wild. The screaming fans behind you while you’re photographing each band member feels like they’re cheering you on. I always wondered if the musicians could see me smiling (I tried to photograph my favorite bands at that time so this was a big wonder and wishful thinking.) I'd also be singing their songs as my face was shield by my camera (always wanting to stay out of the way and observe.) Shout out to my plethora of Canons, thank you for getting me into places!! This was a very fun and cool part of my life, I wish I would’ve stuck it out, but imposter syndrome and lack of passion will make you stop doing anything. It sucks when it was the only thing you’ve built your personality around.
DiD sHe Go To CoLlEgE?! YUP!! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in arts, majoring in Broadcasting and Journalism minoring in Apparel and Textile Merchandising. I shit you not, those exact lengthy ass words are on my degree!! This school is not worth mentioning and I’m still mad at myself for going there. Words of advice don’t go to a college just because it’s the cheapest state school and the school colors were your favorite complimentary color combo. I’ve always had a love / hate relationship when it comes to this section of my life. Through all the pain, came things I’ve learned that will stick with me for life, the good and the bad.
My vision for this page is to share experiences and things that I think are cool. Basically all the things I love and want to share; traveling and checking out new local places, sometimes a quick day trip! Two hours one way isn’t that far if it seems worth it, in my humble opinion. I want to share what I’m reading and cooking; concert reviews; travel logs; grief; fashion things; music interest and food places. I’m not going to limit / force myself on the length of the post like I would in the past, maybe that is why my previous writing / blogging endeavors never worked out. Third times the charm!!
Please enjoy this picture of me in a very weird time of my life, but looking at it now it’s one of my favorite pictures of myself. It embodies the chaos that is The Pungent Darling. I can’t wait to see where this blog goes, all I want is to keep evolving and sticking to my boundaries.
Xoxo,
The Pungent Darling

Hiya! I’m here because I’m conflicted about pursuing an idea for a creative project that’s been popping into my brain a lot lately.
I’ve been convincing myself to stick to simpler and more light hearted stories because I don’t think I have what it takes to follow such an ambitious goal.
I do really want to end up making something out of it, but my current drawing skill level and my certainty that it’ll just be lost in the sea of other better stories and never get any attention is really turning me away from it.
I’m not sure of what to do anymore. Sorry if your not currently answering asks, your under no pressure to respond to me
Dear fuzzyman, I understand wanting to limit what you do to avoid unneeded stress and keep things casual, in order to keep it more fun. But I strongly recommend you don't limit yourself in what you want to do, just bc you think it wouldn't turn out good enough! I understand that feeling too, I have many things like that for myself, and I've been through the crushing ordeal, of putting alot of passion into an ambitious project only for it to crash or sizzle away slowly and painfully (the reason this blog exists, actually, fun fact). I've talked about it fairly often on this blog by now, but social media really is ruining artists on a large scale. Getting engagement feels rewarding, and it's natural to want recognition for what you do and to be seen by other people, bc heck we put alot of effort and just, alot, emotionally speaking, into our art. The way social media has become a fast consumption, blow up now or remain a nobody forever -kind of landscape really abuses that. Unfortunately alot of it is done intentionally to benefit businesses, not people. Anyhow.
I wanted to say all that to acknowledge that your fears are founded, and valid, but despite all that I also want to say all this that follows.
Your drawing level doesn't dictate how well you make things. It doesn't dictate what you should or shouldn't try. You do. If you truly want to make something even though it would be challenging, then you do that! If you want to wait on it and gather fuel for the fire slowly then you do that! I know it's easier said than done but prioritize yourself as an artist over the final product. Why do you create? I know some create just to share, and some just to get recognition, and while both have their own negative sides (and I wouldn't recommend the latter to anyone), they're still legit reasons to create. I'm not gonna tell people why they should or shouldn't make art. If they have the want and drive to make it, that's about it. Art in itself is just about making things to express or vent out some feeling or idea.
However you did say yourself that you really want to make something out of it. So while I wanted to acknowledge the complexity of these things, if you're here to just get that push to finally do it, I'm doing that to you now! I'm pushing you (gently). Do it even if it would only be seen by some few people, do it even if you're afraid of it not reaching up to your standards, bc guess what that's okay! Nothing can be perfect and art is never done. You'll continue to learn and improve over time if you work on these things and look into it, bc storytelling is also something that can require alot of learning and effort. Don't let that intimidate you, bc you aren't one of those other artists who, in your eyes, does it better, and you're also not the person who has already failed. You're a person who has an idea they want to pursue. You're the artist that can do exactly what you can do, and that is unique to yourself. And that is enough. Focus on that. And I do promise, every other artist has these same doubts, and the people you look up to have their own struggles. And that you can and will improve in these things as you go along. I really really encourage you to ignore the numbers and make bc of what you want to make, and out of the passion for what you do. It can be very hard, I know, but I promise it's better for you in the long run.
And like I've said before, it's not "That cake is way better than mine", it's "Yay more cakes!".
However if you don't feel ready to tackle this project yet that's fine. Neither you nor your story is a failure for not existing, or being left incomplete. Every creation is just it's own experience. That said you can come here to share your story and I can boost the stuff you make! All the best, fuzzyman

Might delete this later but bear with me because im sick of seeing this ao3 blowback every year. The ire people aim at ao3 for existing as a non-profit with no sponsor other than its users (who the ire is also aimed at for throwing money its way) rather than the systems that make it impossible for a literal archive of fanworks to exist without donation is baffling.
Ao3 needs funds because otherwise it would need ads and be subject to the censors that every site on the internet is forced to submit to. You know, the whims of the same corporations that first made it impossible to say "gay" on youtube without getting demonetized and then lead to OF, a site for indie sex workers, almost getting denied all payment support from legit banks? Those systems.
This capitalist way of things is the reason why ao3 runs on donations, and why people keep needing to put up fundraisers for basic expenses.
You have a common enemy. Dont shit on an organization that fights for the right of fandom to exist in any real, permanent, centralized capacity, an organization that everyone knows about, getting money, rather than an individual that's limited by the confines of only some people knowing them.
Uplift, boost and donate to the people who need it. But dont 1) feign ignorance at why ao3 is getting so much attention and 2) act like the site is only there for quote unquote 30 year old white women writing drarry rpf.
Make no mistake; if ao3 falls, not only do we lose a library of alexandria of fiction, but there's a good chance that Fandom as a whole goes back into illegality. The right of creative writing, drawing, anything based on copyrighted work will regress 20 years.
Yall want your cake and eat it too; its either ads or donations. And seeing how every site in existence is going to shit because of ads, I much prefer donations.
Your rage at your friends and family and random people dying in poverty is warranted and justified. You should be mad. You can even be infuriated at the amount of money ao3 gets. But rallying against ao3 in response to it being one of the only sites that can exist without ads is counterproductive at best and actively harmful at worst.

Let's talk ✨🌍WORDBUILDING🌍✨
No, really - it's something I really struggle with a lot. I'm best at writing about actions that happen within a world, so my short stories tend to be sparse on worldbuilding details, allowing the audience to fill in any gaps they want to.
I'm getting the hang of worldbuilding, but then I run into another problem which is: how do I give this information to my readers? I'm a big fan of seeding things in as I go but if get excited about a detail then I get a bit heavy on the exposition, which can be boring.
So how else can I offer background lore, without writing a massive wall of text that leaves my reader's eyes involuntarily skipping over paragraphs looking for the good bit?
In-world newspaper articles.
Oathsworn: The Nameless is urban fantasy, so newspapers are absolutely a thing. It also has the extra step in difficulty of covering a long period of time - nearly 400 years - so rather than painstakingly recount history, I'm going to write newspaper articles that cover the important, story-relevant bits of history.
For example, a list of topics for articles across the centuries could be:
- cancer rates are going up [related to the use of nukes in the war] - finding ways to 'clean' radioactive sites - holy shit so many people are unaccounted for you guys [it was a hundred-year war involving supernatural beings so lots of MIA] - instances of Touched [people who have traits from being in close contact with Fae] on the rise/on the decline/how do we feel about it - this one may be more of a magazine piece, a sensation piece - we've had a breakthrough in radiation cleanup - cancer rates are going down
So of these topics, which do you want me to write first?

Writing Advice
Befriend Scientists
No, really. if you don't have Actual Scientists (tm) in your friend group you should go out and find some because I had the time of my LIFE this evening while aksing for help with a couple of points in the worldbuilding of my novel:
Me: "Microbiologist Friend, I found this thing that said e-coli can be used to clean up radioactive contamination, is that legit?? It doesn't expand or offer sources."
MB Friend: "Here are several other sources that seem to back this up, a couple of them list different bacterium but that just gives you more to work with. Also, be aware of these specific limitations when working with bacteria."
Me: "Incredible, thank you!"
-
Me: "@heavymetalscientist nuclear power plants gone wrong vs nuclear warheads: what's the difference in after-effects? Also could there theoretically be radioactive fire?"
@heavymetalscientist: "Fascinating! Not only will I answer this with sources but I'll also solve a plot hole you didn't know you had using a video of a guy picking up a cube of material heated to 2,200 degrees celsius with his bare hands. You can have a video of Cherenkov radiation as a bonus."
Me: "... do you all just have this stuff in your back pockets ready to go for the right absolutely batshit question?"
-
Seriously, befriend a scientist or three, ask them a hypothetical, and then just sit back and enjoy the information dump.
Alternatively: befriend scientists, then sit down and watch a film that uses CRISPR as the plot point (like RAMPAGE). Just as entertaining for very different reasons!

Sleep Deprivation
Death by one thousand cuts A thousand-billion starving synapses Falling to a torture only Halfway self-inflicted
Don't trust your self-image in the dark Starvation makes anything look appetising Self-esteem becomes Manna from heaven In the darkness of 2 am Where every criticism bites back
Remember the experiment you read about? Think about how tired you'd need to be To bite your fingers clean off - Your jaws can already do it How tired do you have to be before you brain forgets To stop them
If only you could see the carcass Chunks torn from my Self worth Self view [Selfish] It's 2.37 am and I'm no longer sure
My world is a Moebius Strip Self-fullfilling ouroboros Dying brain cells circle back on themselves Looking for every last scrap of Serotonin Dopamine Contentedness [please gods let me be content enough to sleep]

Love is in the Apples
There’s something about apples and love The fruit of knowledge Depicted in all it’s crisp Mouth-watering glory Eve saying here, are you hungry, too? Adam takes it, and he means I love you Did the bite they shared together help them truly know The depths that love can reach?
We’d help to pick the apples Bending to retrieve the ones that hit the ground And that was love as well: Your 60-year old knees and back and hips can’t bend like my 8 year old skeleton can Let me get that for you I love you I’m light enough to reach the tops of the trees Hold the bucket, I’ll get the best ones I love you
Later in the kitchen we’d tuck ourselves into a corner And tuck into an apple half the size of our heads Bitter and tart juices running down our faces Thank you for your help; I love you We’d have apples for weeks: Apple pies Apple cakes Apple biscuits Apple crumbles Give the apples to the local priest and get Homemade tablet in return I thought you’d like these, Father Little loves
I think of Snow White Baking an apple pie for seven strangers A gift of gratitude Seven times I thought you might like this Seven times I hope you like it Seven times I love you
You return triumphant Bucket overflowing with your bounty Crisp, green, bitter, and tart Fruits that seem much smaller now I’m grown My hands cramp from the motion of rubbing the butter and flour You get ready to drop the apples and come to my aid if I ask I’m okay, I say I know, you say Soon the kitchen smells like love Apples and cinnamon and sweet buttery pastry The triumphant fruits of our labour
It’s wonky It’s tart The lid has come away from the base But nothing has ever tasted as sweet
Like an apple that has fallen, I briefly pick up A faith long since abandoned And I thank Eve for sowing the seeds Of love, in apple trees

Reblog Me Please
You like this? I'm glad you like this. You are picking it up, and putting it in your pocket. It's for you to find later before you put your trousers in the wash, it'll be nestled in there with your loose change and half-formed thoughts, and maybe you'll read it again and enjoy it but it'll be just you who re-reads it.
Reblog me please; put me in your pocket and find that I am split, endless copies to pin to the lampposts on your street, a reverse missing poster campaign. Have you seen this? I have. I'd like you to see it. Maybe you'll like it. Lots of reblogs means lots of lampposts, lots of streets, lots of hey, look at this.
Pandemic isolation hits, reblogs become lifelines, not just sharing art but sharing thought, sharing emotion, sharing soul. I'm here. I know you're there, too. We see you. Hang in there, hold on, keep going. I love you. We share because we love, and we love because we share.
Reblog me please; I just want to be seen and shared and heard and felt. A hundred hundred lampposts, a thousand thousand connections, a million million souls.
Have you seen me? I see you.
I love you.

IMPORTANCE OF BEING MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERATE INDIVIDUAL
INTRODUCTION:
Media and information literacy empowers people to think critically about information and use of digital tools. It enables people in making decisions regarding their participation in the promotion of peace, equality, freedom of expression, information access and sustainable development. It is about giving people the knowledge and abilities they need to interact with media and information systems in a responsible and productive way. As a result, individuals can develop into informed, engaged citizens who can take part in community life and democracy. Media literacy is essential because it helps people understand the messages that are being communicated to them. With so many sources of information today, media literacy can help people identify reliable sources and filter through the noise to get at the truth.Analyzing the material and comprehending the underlying messages critically are two skills that are included in media literacy. The way social media is used to spread news is a major source of concerns. The need for critical content evaluation has increased as a result of the spread of news on social media platforms. A fundamental skill in media literacy is the ability to identify. Additionally, in the age of imitations and AI-generated information, media literacy requires not only understanding but also evaluating the content's validity. Furthermore, people who are media literate are better able to identify media biases and how they may influence how they view a situation or problem.
BODY:
Our world uses media to send information or in other words technologies are greatly used especially in developing the world and our country. But, this is useless if it is not used appropriately. For this reason, we do have what is referred to as media and information literacy.
If i'm a media and information literate, i can contribute to my country by providing everyone with legitimate and reliable informations that would help them in any way and also by spreading awareness about certain important topics that affects a lot of our community members. Im addition, as a media and information literate person, I can contribute something to my community and country by being updated to what is happening around the nation and informing neighbors and people in my community or country through the use of social media. I can claim that what I accomplished contributed to our nation's development. Another effective way of developing a nation would be to educate everyone on how to deal with the media and information. Start by explaining to some of your neighbors how to analyze internet news sources and media. Informing the residents of your community that media is not limited to television and the internet might change on how they interpret media.
For me I would say I am an Media and Information Literate, cause I spend a lot of time on social media platforms. The time that I spent on social media can help people in any different ways. For example I can teach begginers or new in social media, I can teach them how to know if something is legit or not. Because a lot of thing in social media is fake or not legitable and there's a lot of scammer in social media. First thing they need is to confirm if its legit, only follow legitimate source like GMA, ABS CBN and NEWS ARTICLE. I can teach them how to avoid scammer. You need to stalk the user if its his/her legit account, be careful when talking someone you don't know, be cautious.
For me media literacy education provides tools to help people develop receptive media capability to critically analyze messages, offers opportunities for learners to broaden their experience of media, and helps them develop generative media capability to increase creative skills in making their own media messages. Education for media literacy often uses an inquiry-based pedagogic model that encourages people to ask questions about what they watch, hear, and read. Media literacy moves beyond the traditional no print text and moves to examining more contemporary sources. Some examples of media literacy include, but are not limited to television, video games, photographs, and audio messages.
CONCLUSION:
The protection of free expression is greatly aided by media literacy. The ability to critically assess, evaluate, and decipher information gives people the power to choose what they consume and share with confidence. This capacity to spot bias and false information, as well as to discriminate between dependable and unreliable sources, improves the standard of public discourse and protects the democratic norms of free expression. In summary, media information literacy provides a basis for people to exercise their right to free speech in the digital age ethically and successfully.

What is a mythical creature power animal
A common request is, "Can Dream and Legendary Animals be my Soul, Emblem, and Power Creature?". The proper reaction is yes!
In the legend and dream of numerous social orders, legendary animals thrive. These dream animals are not of this world. They are exceptional, inquisitive, eccentric animals that potentially spring from our innovative personalities.
Individuals who follow a more significant way consider the 'inventive brain' to be a co-creation with the magnificent domains. What is a mythical creature power animal is, whatever is made in this world (music, imaginativeness, development, and that is only the start) is brought into the world of individuals exploiting the boundless creativity of the universe. In this present, it's possible that the "Legendary Animals" that appear as different characters and hearts of skilled workers and storytellers are the universe's approach to allowing us to investigate a strange world that exists in another general setting.
As of now, ponder the winged serpent, unicorn, griffin, and phoenix as occasions of notable dream animals. These animals overwhelm our cerebrums and challenge our spirits particularly. All of these legendary monsters has novel group environments likewise that give them extensively more energetic correspondences to consider. Be that as it may, the mythical serpent is a mix of both the Snake and the Reptile, with additional extraordinary powers and flight limit. The Griffin is a compound animal blended in with a Hawk and a Lion. In this way it conveys a part of the Soul Creature Implications from both those animals. Furthermore, without a very remarkable stretch, one can recognize Legendary Animals as a Symbol Creature or invoke its drug as a Power Creature.
Considering the information recently given, you can see any justification for why the energies and examples of Legendary Animals can and should be recognized as a significant Soul, Emblem, and Power animal.
The clever thing about Dream Animals as soul guides is that these Legendary Monsters live between different areas - between the powers of good and malevolence, and among us and furthermore among the divine beings. In unambiguous settings, they are even credited for specific real powers.
In considering and working with dream creatures, move toward them with suitable respect. Contemplate the Fey and Devas. They will often help individuals. In any case, don't for any reason shock them! On that note, it ought to be said that various legendary monsters are the things of which terrible dreams are made. In endless European stories, the Mythical serpent is quite far from the holy person of the story, for example. For our inspirations, we will focus in on dream animals that offer positive credits and models. Returning to the winged serpent, in China; the mythical beast tends to noteworthiness. For sure, a being with such size and power can overpower. Notwithstanding, they likewise bear old sagacity and are among the authors of history, taking everything into account.
Also, there are dream creatures that are, somewhat, tangled. Consider the Mermaid who could sing a sailor into the water or rescue a legit individual from choking. According to legend, it relies on her mentality at the present time.
No matter what the animal, dream creatures are fundamental for our common mind. They are models of the intriguing scene. The brilliant message from the dream space is that not all things are what it shows up. There is another thing to our existence other than high differentiation reality. That clears a path for such innumerable incredible possibilities. Permit your mind to wander and see what you find.

May We Lift Each Other Up 2022 Wrap-Up!
Instead of an individual lift-up, today I just wanted to lift up the experience of fandom in general, and reflect on what it’s given me.
Fandom has given me the joy of witnessing other people’s creativity. As I said elsewhere, I want to lift you all up because you’ve already lifted me up. I’ve gotten to see people in all stages of their journeys. I’ve gotten to see people blossom and grow and that is so beautiful to me.
I’ve also gotten to enjoy (FOR FREE) the results of those labors and that work. I’m not sure I can adequately articulate the impact fic and art have had on my life. Of course, it’s entertained me. But it’s also challenged me. It’s helped me learn new things about myself and people and the world. Fic has given me tools and wisdom for managing my own trauma/C-PTSD and pain. Fic and fandom have helped me understand myself and my own neurodivergence in SO many crucial ways, ways that are allowing me to be happier, healthier. A better partner and parent. Fic has been with me through some of the hardest experiences I’ve had, and it’s brought me comfort and healing.
Fandom and fic have brought me some of the best people I’ve ever known, and some of the closest friends I’ve ever had. It’s given me a place to be wholly myself. I think like a lot of people, I’ve had a hard time in the real world finding people and places where I felt like I could bring all of me and be, not only tolerated but genuinely embraced. I’m legit tearing up writing this, at how grateful I feel.
So many people commented how this was something they really needed in the moment they received it, and I was really struck by that. Things are hard in the world right now. So hard and scary and heartbreaking. And it feels daunting and overwhelming to know where to begin. I guess a thing I take from this is, that any kind impulse we have, it matters to express it, if we can.
Our words matter. I really believe in energy, and I believe that what we put out into the universe stays there. This is not to say that anyone should feel guilty if they can’t, of course not! But if you’re having that impulse, and you wonder, does it matter? Does it make a difference? It does matter. It does make a difference.
I cannot tell you how hard it was to limit myself to 30 days and 32 people. I think I could have written ten times the number of posts that I did. As I said before, I wish I had the spoons to lift every single on of you who’s touched my life, but whether or not I wrote a post highlighting any particular person, please know that I *am* lifting you up in my heart. Because you matter. Your presence here matters, and I say that confidently, whether or not we’ve ever interacted.
So thank you all, so much, for going on this journey with me! Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep it up for the whole month, and I’m sort of astonished that I did. Thank you to everyone who gave me ideas and recommendations, I’ve read things that have moved me and given me so much. Thank you to everyone who supported this project.
Tl;dr - Just… thank you.
