i'm usually not so chatty about my headcanons but. . . but i'm feeling generous to share them for this day, so. . . imagine in an AU, where the dceu!carter hall and arrowverse!ray palmer are best friends like in the comics. and that carter was a part of the legends at some point.

bc ughhh, so unfair the arrowverse didn't have a better hawkman. and while i'm glad there's another version, it's been several months but i'm still bitter. but whatever! AUs and headcanons exist for a reason. <3

damnnit, i guess i'll have to create content of these two by myself, won't i? lmao.

carter regularly invites ray to his manor/mansion in st. roch more than once whenever the legends take a break. of course, pillow fights and movie nights happen often.

they often cook meals together and learn new recipes from one another. carter ensures to have non-glutten ingredients stocked before ray drops by.

and carter had shown the hawkcruiser to ray, who gawked it with such awe. but their joy rides do not go well. and ray offers to fix it up with him.

carter was usually hesitant about ray's team bonding ideas but once he did it, he genuinely enjoys it a lot.

they often go outside at new restaurants to check out ala this comic panel.

at some point in a mission, both carter and ray used 'shawn' and 'gus' as accidental alliases. the team, especially len, didn't let them live it down.

ray tries helping carter to wind down whenever he can. being a source of comfort and support bc he can tell he gets exhausted a lot. carter finds ease whenever he's around, feeling that he doesn't need to be responsible every two seconds. that it's okay to be a bit of a goof and relax.

carter tends to help ray concentrate whenever on any important task. with his prescence, ray can have a clear mind and complete the job well. and bc of him, he learns to be a bit smoother than he'd usually be. when he does it on a mission, the team gets shookth.

they often purpose having flying races at empty areas, where no one can see them. carter probably won most of them bc of nth metal, of course.

dare i say nate would probably be happy to have one more bestie. he'd probably have a crush on carter. and try stealing him from ray. yes, another rarepair to the pile. *sighs*

as a trio, they'd probably get on any team's nerves. and people often assume carter 'a bad plan is better than no plan' hall has the main braincell. when actually, it alternates or they don't share it properly, lmao.

after kent's death, ray immediately offered comfort to carter. he'd never dare to replace kent but he'll try his best to be there for him in his grief. bc losing a best friend sucks and he understands.

just these two being genuine friends, who take care of each other and show affection. maybe as much as ray + nate does even if carter might have difficulty. but once it gets easier, carter eventually expresses his affection for ray, who gladly reciprocates.

It was a fun post to make and is suppose it's partly what you're looking for (specially the Pyromancer!Kuai vs Cryomancer!Kuai)

And as you can see from it, I already have my own take on MK1 and now it became reeeeeally hard to detach from them now!😅

in a l.o.t s3 AU, where after working in upswipez for a few weeks, ray decides to move to st. roch to live with carter instead. and ryan and carter are a thing, who have a bit of LDR going on (bc superhero duties and jobs get in teh way). and ryan and ray bond over the potential of ryan sharing the atom mantle with him. helping him build a suit and stuff. ray showing ryan the ropes and helping him gain confidence. ryan being floored by how ray believes in his potential. ray finding a sibling in ryan that he didn't have in sydney. ryan also having a sibling figure in ray, who has faith in him. (i know they have a mentor-mentee dynamic in teh comics but. . . for this AU, they're less than a decade apart.)

eventually when the team gets the waverider back, i guess ryan and ray swap in some missions. and they find a groove where they get used to the swaps, lmao.

Links awakening AU part 1

Wow. From layout, to sketching, to drawing, to coloring, this took about 3 days. If you liked it maybe don’t expect part 2 so soon. I don’t know how comic artists do it. Anyway this is the beginning of my Links Awakening AU that mostly focuses on Marin before Link gets to Koholint. I know most people probably believe that Marin is an idealized version of Zelda that Link dreams up, and to that I say… whatever. I’ve worked too hard on this story to consider that. I have to credit @blueskittlesart and @proxycrit for inspiration, I mostly based the format off of studying their comics.

Leonard Snart is a conquering king who subjugated the nearby kingdoms in just a couple years of his reign. People whispered in fear about his invincibility and the cruelty with which he overthrew one king after another. Barry Allen, a prince whose kingdom was still recovering from the long war with Eobard Thawne, realized the terrible truth — they were next and they weren't ready. King Henry, heartbroken after the death of his beloved wife, who was killed during the war, could no longer make important decisions and save his country from a new conqueror. Barry found no other choice but to sacrifice himself for the good of those he loved and his homeland. He asked Leonard to spare his father and not torture people with unnecessary war and cruelty. In return, Barry offered his soul and body and an alliance that would give Leonard a kingdom without a fight and full legitimacy. The proposal was risky, but the plan worked. Meeting his future husband's eyes, Barry promised himself that he would never give up and would find a way to overthrow the usurper. Even at the cost of his own life.

"I know you keep the blade under your pillow," Leonard whispered in the young man's ear. Barry got goosebumps and covered his eyes, exhaling slowly. There, he'd been busted again.

"You were going to kill me with it, did I get that right?", Leonard asked next and kissed Barry first on his temple and then lower on his jaw line and neck. He didn't seem to care about the topic of conversation. Barry was beginning to get annoyed.

"No, I was going to cut them ham," he snapped, obediently setting his neck up for more kisses. Leonard grinned and bit the young man weakly on his bare shoulder.

"You kept it there for almost a week. Were you hoping I'd stumble upon it and gut myself?", Leonard chuckled, lying down on his back. They were both still in bed. Naked and a little drunk from the wine that had been served at dinner. Mick was pouring for them both while they pretended not to see.

"Don't laugh at me!" hissed Barry, angrily digging his nails into the man's chest. It wasn't for him to decide how and when Barry would kill him.

"Never, my love," Leonard replied gravely, taking the hands off his body and kissing them both in turn. He pulled Barry toward him, and he fell into his arms without resistance.

"I'm going to kill you someday," Barry said quietly, snuggling his nose into the man's neck. Leonard stroked his back, lulling him to sleep.

"You're too good for that, baby," Leonard replied in a whisper, and Barry propped himself up on his elbows, looking into his husband's eyes.

"And you're bad. I have to do this," a tear crawled down Barry's cheek and Leonard caught it before it fell. They stared into each other's eyes for a long time before Barry reached up to kiss his man. Leonard didn't respond.

Barry never needed a knife to hurt him.
