‌• How I feel about this character:Ah yes. Mako. MAKO. Mako? Mako! Mak0000. My son. My socially inept, firebending dork, cop son. Super loyal to the people he cares about and I just love him. I see myself in him with the things he does. He’s dedicated to his job, has terrible social skills, and is a complete dork (as well as many other things). Tries not to disappoint anyone but ends up disappointing everyone aka me. I just really love Mako. I could probably write you a 100 page analytical essay on my love for this man but I shall provide you with the above summary instead. Fun fact I actually hated his guts for the first two books and then he decided to spin in a circle and digivolve into Dorkmon in Book 3 and I became a victim of Mako love.

‌• All the people I ship romantically with this character:Korra (and I may have another OC that I came up with but.......)

‌• My non-romantic otp for this character:Lin and Mako because let’s be real he is her adopted son.

‌• My unpopular opinion of this character:I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I hate the way he was written in a lot of things.

‌• One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:That we got to see his struggle with losing his parents and living on the streets in Studio Mir animation. I feel like the fandom would have understood his character and his actions better if we actually got to see an episode dedicated to Mako and Bolin’s tragic story.

‌• My OTP:Makorra.

‌• My cross over ship:Don’t have one.

‌• A headcanon fact:Mako loves to have his neck scratched when he cuddles and he will fall asleep mid-sentence if you do a good job.

Book 1 Korra kissed Mako, everybody knew he liked Korra but he fell in the moment and kissed her back. Book 2 Asami took advantage of Korra and Mako's hard times by kissing him. And it was Implied that they got back together by those 2 douche cops

Again, this presumably relates to this post, and again I’m not sure why you sent it to me. But you asked so;

I suspect Bolin and Asami had no idea Mako liked Korra for a start. Bolin was trying (futiley) to date Korra and Asami trusted her boyfriend (and makes a lot of effort to befriend Korra too). If Mako wanted to be with Korra then he shouldn’t logically be dating Asami/needed to sort things out with her first/break-up. And I worry the response might be if he did that he’s basically destroyed the Fire Ferret’s chances in the Pro-bending competition - which is a horrible reason to remain with someone if your feelings have changed that dramatically. And either Mako is protective of Bolin and wants to stop the date which he supects means more to Bolin than Korra OR he does like Korra but is with Asami but doesn’t want anyone else to be with her. Either way he handles this situation badly.

So, Mako breaking up with Korra in episode five is not a factor? Or that he refuses to let her give up when finding her entire business is in ruins? That she apologises immediately after the kiss? That’s taking advantage of Korra and Mako’s bad times? Asami wasn’t pursuing someone in a relationship, or manipulated events to her own ends or anything like that. The sting operation was Mako’s idea.The second part of this confuses me. Assuming you mean Lu and Gang, then this would be episode nine. Where Mako and Asami initially deny their relationship to Bolin, only for Asami to later invite Mako out for dinner. They kiss, then Lin, Lu and Gang interrupt and arrest Mako. How exactly did they get them back together? Is it that the police are generally presented as incompetent and ignoring him for no good reason? This is unlikely to be a conscious action on anyone’s part - Mako and Asami are responsible for getting themselves together.

But can't their relationship be a lesson die also, instead of giving up on one another always be there for one another and true love also exist?

Except that it can only be presented as “true love” by playing the soulmate card or ignoring such things as chemistry and compatibility.  To paraphrase what glamourweaver said and quote a song out of the '90s: sometimes, love just ain't enough.

How is book 2 hia fault... what does Bolins nuktuk story have to do with the spritus sub plot?

I’m not sure why you decided to send me this ask. Logically it has to be due to this post, but I think your question would be best answered by danseru-kun or enigmaphenomenon both of whom actually provided you with answers to your question. Anyway. For this one, I would have to concur - nothing about disliking Mako or Makorra has anything to do with Bolin in Book 2. Bolin does some pretty stupid/terrible things himself but it has no bearing on Mako or Makorra.
