Here’s my design for Hatter! This is for a swap au my friend @britishsass and I are working on- Go check out the tag “#owl’s ahit swap au” on their blog for more plot stuff :)

This is Hat Kid, now better known as the Hatter. Once Queen Mu declared that all Bad Guys in her kingdom be purged from the land, Hat Kid decided to question her judgment and look at things for herself. Of course, Mu saw her little investigation and mistook her for a Bad Guy, dropping her in lava before she could even plead “Not Guilty”. Now, she haunts the firey wasteland of what once was Subcon Forest, stealing whatever hats she finds interesting enough to keep for herself. Of course… she often steals hats before checking to see if there’s a head attached first.

Oh, yeah, and she’s also got a law license. Because of course she does.

This is Stationmaster, also sometimes known as Tibbles or Tibbs if you’re close to her. She’s the other director in Cooking Cat studios, the one with all gold awards except for one year, where she got the silver instead. (One of her gold awards is being… “kept for safekeeping” by Bandit.)

In addition to her job as a director, she also keeps the Nyan Metro running- That’s what those colourful rectangles on her belt are: metro passes! It’s hard for the cats to get anywhere on time when she’s constantly using the metro lines to film her movies, though…

Speaking of which, she tends to lean more action-y with her scripts, with plenty of spy and yakuza thrillers in her catalog. This is all well and good until there’s a literal tank of piranhas on the Bluefin line in the middle of rush hour. Just a little bit inconvenient!

She’s happily married or amicably divorced from Cooking Cat, depending on the year. Generally speaking, the Annual Best Movie Award is her first love, so if Cooking Cat decides to help Maestro over her? It’s curtains for their marriage (even though they still love each other anyway).

While she didn’t grow up in Subcon proper, her family was still close enough to receive Queen Mu’s summons… And given this was after Mu had started judging people as Bad Guys for extremely minuscule reasons, her parents told her to run before they burned in the fiery depths of the Judgement Pit. She lived in an orphanage for the rest of her childhood, where she found a newfound love of spy movies, and decided one day that she was going to make it big!

Due to her experience as a hairless cat in an adoption facility, she decided, after much deliberation with her wife, to adopt a few hairless kittens of her own so they wouldn’t have to worry about being less likely to be adopted. The kittens end up coming with her on the cruise, however, they keep ending up in the weirdest places! It’s a good thing her old pal Definitely Not Bandit came aboard with her and is helping her babysit!

Here you go, Owl! I decided to find a pallet from the comics, then added a little flair with the shading. I imagine this is Jane realizing that Tavish really doesn’t recognize him, and the heartbreak in that moment.
