Here's a Left Hand Failsafe concept I came up with. I'm not sure if anybody else has really thought about how they work, but the first or second time I watched through Design, I was wondering how exactly the failsafes worked. And so, over time, I ended up coming up with my own idea of how the failsafe would work. Which is pretty much just metal surgically implanted into your back.
Feel free to use this concept in artwork any of you make of Kali or other Left Hands. Credit to me would be appreciated but is not neccessary, after all, we're meant to share in a community.

Stumbles into the room at 10kmph
The disassembly drone absolute solver might be a final product of the research discovered after creating Ponder!
(Also maybe IC-0n, too d:)
So, you may be wondering what the hell I'm talking about.
"Ponder? What's that? Another word for think, maybe? What'sthat got to do with murder drones?"
Well, my probably-most-of-murder drones fans! Allow me to guide your attention to a small youtube account called 'scary story time with Liam' sstwl, for short. This was where it all began. Liam writing his first few stories, and reading them out into his mic for the group of people who cared.
Among these majority of unfinished works lie two series we'll be focusing on: PuppetGAME, and Design.
Although, do note, I haven't listened to Design yet, so take all of these things with a grain of salt.
Let's begin, shall we?
We start over in design. There's these things called left hands who possess young girls and puppet around their corpses. There's a facility who is weponising these left hands for their military or whatever.
Among these girls is Mari. Who claims to be God. After doing research, they discovered that the body she possessed wasn't actually human, but built from the ground up around her. Researchers took note of this and discovered that she wasn't actually creating matter from nothing, but stealing it bit by bit from other dimensions to do so. Does that last sentence sound familiar?
Now things get wibbly-wobbly, for a different version of Design. In PuppetGAME, in part 4.4 I think it was, Sarah admitted this all to Jon Mathews (he doesn't really matter here) but in her dimension, she was head researcher I think, and decided to use an AI simulation of whatever it was Mari was using to destroy entire dimensions to "create" objects out of thin air.
This, my friend, is where we meet ponder. The main villain of PuppetGAME. A part biological, part AI virus of sorts who runs a gameshow where people fight for the safety of their home dimension. And with each dimension destroyed, the longer he lives, and the "better" his show can become. He uses this matter to run his show, and multiply himself into a hivemind for his "contestants" to wear for extra weaponry and armour.
It's unknown how ponder gained access to the psychal plain, but long story short. There's this rabbit hand puppet the researchers use on little kiddos to cheer them up, and Ponder thought it'd be fun to take that form as the first thing he saw after gaining a conscience.
Now, putting all my ramblings on paper. Here's what absolute solver, ponder and ic-0n have in common:
All are simultaneously AI and biological.
All are in a hivemind (IC-0N may be an acception, but there are clues she once was)
All need to assimilate large amounts of matter to recreate things.
All need blood, or something else like that, to live a long time. (Abso solve, with oil. Ponder with souls(maybe) and IC-0n with heart tissue??)
They're all parasites in a way.
They can shapeshift and regenerate body parts on the fly. (Absolute solver can't exactly SHAPESHIFT, but close enough)
And last but not least, Liam made ALL of these characters. And he likes to recycle old ideas sometimes :p
Thanks for reading my ramblings I guess! lol
(Also, I said the disassembly drone absolute solver at the start because another idea of mine, is that there's different variations of absolute solver. Also, I don't think that's actually what it is that Uzi and Doll possess.)

I'll have to add on that Murder Drones also shows parallels with another SSTWL story, Black Dogs. For the sake of consistency, I'm focusing on the world building parallels as well but I've spotted many plot parallels though.
(Contains spoilers?)
Black Dogs is set in an old manor by the name of Ebbing Matthews Manor, and those who were in the manor are under the influence of the Styx Hound's hive mind. The Styx Hound is capable of tampering with its vessels' memories and decides what its vessels should remember or not. It is also capable of fully taking control of its vessels as well as shown in the final part.
The murder drones came from the Elliot Manor and are under the influence of Cyn, who is also capable of influencing her vessels and regulating memories. Although it's never really confirmed yet, Absolute Solver appears to be a hive mind, but Cyn is the one regulating the memories (I believe the Absolute Solver and Cyn are different entities).
The Styx Hound also keeps individuals as alive as possible, no matter how dead they are. Absolute Solver's abilities can also tie to this as well, such as what it did with J when her upper body was obliterated and how Doll resurrected herself after getting shot. This ability can also apply to the Left Hand parasites too, though.
Parallels between Design and Murder Drones
I've seen many parallels between Liam Vickers story Design from his youtube channel Scary Story Time With Liam and Murder Drones, a series on youtube made by Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions. Spoilers ahead for both of them, you're gonna regret it if you ignore this spoiler-warning.
When I'm talking about parallels, I'm talking about parallels between the world-building, not the plot.
If you're reading this, then you probably know that the left-hand facility decreases the abilities of left-hands until they are weak enough to be killed. If you do not know this, then please don't ignore my spoiler-warning, and go watch Design. When a left-hand is weakened enough, it must use secondary weapons to be able to fight. These secondary weapons are usually sharp objects, like knifes or blades. Stronger left-hands don't usually use secondary weapons. For example fifth-class left-hands are known to change the structure of their bodies at their own will, they can make weapons from their own body. Secondary weapons are usually mechanical or hand-made, while fifth-class left-hands mostly use weapons made out of their own bones.
The same can we see in Murder Drones, though I don't know where Uzi gets her biological parts from, knowing robots are usually not made out of body parts, her bio-mechanical features we see in episode four sets her apart from the rest of the others infected with the AS virus. Mainly the disassembly drones, who use purely mechanical weapons. This has led me to believe that the disassembly drones used to be standard AS-infected drones, like Cyn and Uzi, but were later modified by the company to a much weaker version who now need secondary weapons, like wings made out of blades, to fight.
The second parallel I want to talk about I also talked about in one of my previous blog-posts. Each left-hand has a curtained class, which is the cipher that their subject number starts with. Class 0 consists of left-hands capable of matter-distortion at the molecular level. Class 1-4 are, as far as I know, never really explained in the series. The fifth class is capable of bending their own shape and structure of their body to their will, as I talked about before. Class 6 is capable of producing poisonous substances. Left-hands of class 7 are often called defective, as there is something wrong with them, like that they're a hand-made left-hand or don't possess a real body. Eight class left-hands often use artificial limbs, like metal chains, as secondary weapons.
Though it's never said in the murder drone series, I think that such a classing system is also used for AS infected drones, we know that Nori, Uzi's mom, is assigned 002, and is thus likely a zeroth class AS infected drone, capable of matter distortion on the molecular level. Another person I think can be regarded as a class-0 AS infected drone is Yeva, 048, who's Doll's mom. Doll probably also possesses the same abilities as Yeva did, as being able to teleport, which is an ability closely related to matter-distortion on a molecular level. The murder-drones are probably sixth class, as they're able to produce nanite acid. We know that J's ID number is 676, as I talked about in another blog-post.
Left-hands are, as a safety measure, not capable of distorting the matter of other left-hands and can thus not directly hurt any other left-hands. This is known as the empathetic feedback response. There are ways to work around this, the most common one is to use secondary weapons.
This can also be seen in murder drones episode three, where Doll tries to distort the matter of Uzi's body, though instead she gets an error stating "--// ERROR: absoluteSolver_trn [like object non-interactive]". This is probably AS equivalent of the empathetic feedback response of left-hands.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of parallels between AS and the left-hand parasites. I don't have anything to say anymore, and this blog-post is getting long, so I'll end it here.

You theorists need to watch Design. AS is absolutely based on the left hand parasite, and all of this has an explanation there that fits with the evidence. Solvers can’t target other solvers? That’s the empathetic feedback response. Oh, but some people have immunity without the powers! Guess what, they’re carriers. I’m not saying that it’s exactly the same, but please, watch SSTWL stuff if you’re theorizing for MD.
So we all know this means that someone with solver can’t use solver on someone who already has it. Pretty obvious right? Well, why didn’t Doll just twist V’s head off when she was hanging out with Lizzie, or as soon as she got on stage? Because V also has the solver, duh, we know that. I feel like it’s probably more of a like.. ‘tame’ version? They (DD’s) can’t use powers like the workers can, but they regenerate among other things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Solver users can’t use their powers to physically damage same-type users, but they can inflict memories and mental damage. V was clearly in pain when Doll initiated that memory sequence.
Know this is all obvious and stated but, I just like to think about it. I’m not really a theorist or anything but I like noticing the small things and putting it together with other things.
I love @bluginkgo’s page and the stuff they talk about, I was genuinely surprised when they saw the Uzi coughing up blood post and replied to it with their stuff. Was super excited one of my favorite theorists/chatters about MD noticed a post I did!
