so awhile ago I learned of a theory that Newt Scamander created his own wand after he was expelled from Hogwarts. Because as we all know, after you are expelled from Hogwarts they snap your want in half (as exampled by Hagrid). But as we can see in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Newt still has his wand. So the theory is that Newt created his own wand and I have some proof. now the first picture is from the scene in Crimes of Grindelwald when Newt (as a student) is in his defense against the dark arts class taught by Dumbledore. now notice how in the first picture the wand is all light brown no dark spots or slightly blue handle now look at the second picture, notice how on the length of the wand there are small dark spots on the wand and a slightly blue handle, as well as a slightly less saturated brown. And as we know from Crimes of Grindelwald Newt tells Leeta that bowtruckles only build their homes in trees whose wood is capable of being made into a wand, and as we know he has a small little colony of bowtruckles in his case so we know that he has wood good for making a wand in his possession as well as many creatures that would probably be willing to give newt a hair or a feather for the core of his wand. We know that Newt is extremely powerful, as shown during the fight with Percival Graves and later when he (along with Theseus, Tina, and Nicholas Flamel) help create that border around the blue fire dragons in Crimes of Grindelwald, and his suitcase which he probably bought and enchanted to be bigger on the inside. So do with this information as you will, but I thought it was interesting.
(I'm adding this part latter but he was also the very first person to capture Gellert Grindelwald)

A fantastic movie or one big crime?
I finally saw the Crimes of Grindelwald and I love it, even though I got some mixed feelings too. If you haven't seen the movie yet stop reading now, because this will contain spoilers.
Things I liked:
- Leeta Lestrange!!!!! I loved her character and I can't believe they killed her
- Hogwarts. It didn't looked that much like the Hogwarts from the HP movies to me, but it just really fit into the atmosphere of the movie. It's not Hogwarts from the perspective of current students, but from the perspective of teachers and former students coming back
- Vinda Rosier. I like that they gave Grindelwald a loyal female follower, just like Voldemort had Bellatrix. What I really liked about this was how different those two are. Bellatrix is a fanatic psychopath while Vinda seemed really calm and had a lot of self control and yet seemingly is Grindelwald's closest servant
- Magical beasts. It's great to see that they continue introducing new beasts, but I felt like they weren't that important anymore. This is nothing bad, because this movie wasn't supposed to be about "Fantastic Beasts" it's supposed to be about "Grindelwald ('s crimes) "
- Gryffindors bullying the Slytherin. It showed that Gryffindors aren't always as great as they are often portrait (even though Leeta wasn't that nice either) . But what's more important is that this shows the exact problem with Slytherin hate. Every other house hates them and thinks they are evil so it makes total sense that they only talk to people from their own house, who most likely come from families were they only learned "everyone else isn't good enough"
- Nagini. Her character was so caring it was really surprising. I'm super excited to see where they are going with her character, because there is obviously going to be so much character development (my theory is that Dumbledore tries to help her, but can't and now she hates him)
- Grindelwald and the way he talks. He's so convincing and I can totally see why he had so many followers
- Queenie joining Grindelwald. It shows how easy people fall for him. Like I said he's so convincing. And yes it might seem weird that Queenie "sunshine" Goldstein joins a dark wizard, but I think it makes totally sense and tells us so much about Grindelwald
- The way they portrayed Newt's and Theseus relationships. It shows how complicated it is and yet how much they love each other
- Nicolas Flamel!!!!!
- "Don't say salamander" "Did you say salamander?" (I hope they're saying salamander in the English version too)
- Jacob Kovalski. There wasn't anything you could dislike about him in the first movie and nothing you can dislike now
- The costumes, the setting, the whole scenery, I just loved the atmosphere of that movie
- Joshua Shea's (young Newt) acting. The way he acts reassembles Eddie Redmayne so much I love it. It wasn't just like he looks similar to older Newt, no he also acts like him. The way he smiles and tries to cover his face with his hand sometimes it's all there
- Finally an explanation for why Dumbledore didn't want to do anything against Grindelwald. I know he had feelings for him, but without this bloodbond he would have definitely stood up against him sooner
Thing I didn't like that much:
- I wished they would have gone deeper into Rosier's character. She seems to be really interesting and I hope we'll see more of her
- Baby Nifflers. Don't get me wrong they were super adorable, but had no purpose except one laugh for the audience. Newt took them with him to Paris and I wished they would have at least shown them again
- MINERVA MCGONAGALL WASN'T BORN UNTIL 1935!!!! This is just so stupid, because it wasn't even necessary. They could have given this character any other name and it wouldn't have mattered. I mean if she would have actually played an important role I might have been okay with this, but this way it could have been anyone
- Dumbledore teaching DADA. He canonly taught Transfiguration. When the ministry came and forbid him to teach DADA my first taught was that this is probably the reason and he just started teaching it later, BUT when McGonagall is teaching at that time, he can't take the position as Transfiguration teacher
- Credence being a Dumbledore. This is rather something that confuses me than something I disliked. I don't want to say I dislike this idea until I see where they are going with it, but so far I'm not the biggest fan of this idea
- Tina was basically useless in this movie
