I’m finally back. Five days no water, ten days no power, twenty-one days no internet. I was only able to do a few videos before hell broke loose outside. My partner did not board up the house (shocker), and didn’t bring in his pet pigeons (don’t ask). We had to haul in my daughter’s pet rabbit that he forgot in the lanai when it started raining horizontally and the cage was literally sliding on the tile (you’ll see what I mean in the video). My daughter had a panic attack after hour three of the infernal storm, and once she calmed down, I had one of my own. It was horrible, worse than any other hurricane I’ve been through. The winds never stopped, the sound of shingles ripping off the roof consistent, and the air running through my attic was something I won’t ever forget. Sincerely thought that the roof was going to go when the winds shifted inland. I’m thankful that my family was safe, and I pray that my community will pull through this. Pray for us down here. We’re still recovering after almost a month. Here’s a video of what I sent my family of the aftermath at home.
