Plot Synopsis:

Juheon left me when I was a lost 19 year old. Kang was wrecked by an unexpected imprint. The doctor said that the only solution was to find the person who had imprinted him, as soon as possible. I have been wandering for seven years, looking for someone, so that at last I could know... It was Juheon who tightened the leash that I couldn't unravel.

I hate Lee Kang! I want him to suffer more. I want Juheon to take at least years before he forgive Kang. The misunderstanding is all Kang's fault! It's because of his stupidity. He got so jealous and believed what Hwang Moo-Chan told him. All his misunderstandings would have been solved if he had just asked or confronted Juheon, but no. He left Juheon and told him to abort the baby. I know that he didn't know that it was his baby and Juheon was the one pregnant. He didn't know because he didn't listen. Because of his stupidity, Juheon had to suffer and be traumatized. What's worse is he didn't investigate what really happened in the hospital. He could have just asked his assistant to investigate it, but no. It took him 7 years to realize his stupid mistakes. Ugh!! I just wish there were side stories.

Overall, the plot is okay. It would have been better if there was more character development. Personally, it would have been great if Hwang Moo-Chan, instead of being a scumbag until the end, he apologized and courted Joo-Heon seriously; it could have been a good twist and made the story more intriguing. Of course, despite Kang's stupidity, I still want him to end up with Joo-Heon because of their adorable daughter, Taeyang.

If you read this, please read until the end. Also, stop hating the author. If you don't like it then don't read it.

A quantitative CT imaging signature predicts survival and complements established prognosticators in stage I non-small cell lung cancer

This work aims to develop an image-based prognostic signature and assess its complementary value to existing biomarkers.MethodsWe retrospectively analyzed outcomes of stage I NSCLC in seven cohorts. Based on an analysis of 39 CT features characterizing tumor and its relation to neighboring pleura, we developed a prognostic signature in an institutional cohort (n=117) and tested it in an external cohort (n=88). A third cohort of 89 patients with CT and gene expression data was employed to create a surrogate genomic signature of the imaging signature. We conducted further validation using data from five gene expression cohorts (n=639), and built a composite signature by integrating with the cell-cycle progression (CCP) score and clinical variables.ResultsAn imaging signature consisting of pleural contact index and normalized inverse difference was significantly associated with overall survival in both imaging cohorts (p=0.0005 and 0.0009). Functional enrichment analysis revealed that genes highly correlated with the imaging signature were related to immune response, such as lymphocyte activation and chemotaxis (false discovery rate<0.05). A genomic surrogate of the imaging signature remained a significant predictor of survival adjusting for known prognostic factors (hazard ratio: 1.81, 95% CI: 1.34-2.44, p<0.0001), and stratified patients within subgroups as defined by stage, histology, or CCP score. A composite signature outperformed the genomic surrogate, CCP score, and clinical model alone (p<0.01) regarding concordance index (0.70 vs 0.62-0.63).ConclusionThe proposed CT imaging signature reflects fundamental biologic differences in tumors and predicts overall survival in patients with stage I NSCLC. When combined with established prognosticators, the imaging signature improves survival prediction.
