Other than learning from the masters, it’s also important to experiment on your own. To paint from life seems very daunting, but @billy_showell always encourage us to do it. So I started with a small project: just 2 leaves. I tend to lay the first colors a bit too dark, here I am again. But we learn better from fixing our own problems.
