Repurposed an old leather coat I got for free at a clothing giveaway maybe 10 years ago. This was in a bin of other coats and jackets we would never wear but I felt must be stored away in our outbuilding and unearthed a few days ago in our cleaning spree. I removed the lining and “fur” trim and took the seam ripper to every seam. Then I trimmed off all the leather that had stitch holes in it. My idea being I could make those cute leather tags to put on some of the things I make. Plus I wanted an excuse to try out my grommet maker I got at Harbor Freight a few weeks ago. It took a lot of trial and error, and Chance and Ty sharing their knowledge and muscles but I finally got a tag on this hat I’d made a few years ago. About 6 years ago, when I just started selling on Etsy, I made these luggage tags for an US customer. She already bought some tulip keyfobs from me (last photo) after she had traveled to the Netherlands and ask me to design luggage tags in the same style. So I did.
