its been 82 years and what seemed like a never ending period of ennui but finally i have Job. and i am moving out!!!!!!!!! not only leaving my natal home but also my natal state which is Weird and Unsettling Somewhat but ey its still close by

i want to move to sf by like may at the earliest bc my lease is up in august and i want to minimize how long i'm paying rent on two places lol (though i may be able to find a subletter for my current place idk) but it's easier to find housing in sf around the end of the semester when students are moving out so there's a needle i have to thread there. But i also like. need a job lined up when i move i don't have enough in savings to cover moving cross-country + sf rent and deposit + partial or full rent on my current apartment + living expenses for uh. Very long. basically it's going to be difficult to make the timing work if i want to make the move in 2025 especially with how disastrous the job market is these days. i could try to find a cheaper/ideally month-to-month place to live here in this city once my lease is up while i job/apartmenthunt desperately but i am so aware of how much life i'm missing out on by not being near people i adore in a place i love and i don't want to draw things out any longer than i have to. many needles to thread actually

i am so sorry everyone 💀💀 idk how many of y’all were here when i was originally writing eighteen (crazy), but what essentially happened was that i didn’t get a full fic finished on lance’s bday, so i tried to update every day to get it finished as quickly as possible while still being good, and i wouldn’t let myself post anything else or think about anything else really, and at one point i was getting dms and asks from friends and moots that were like Hey Bitch What The Fuck Are You Doing To Yourself and i was like yeah wait hold on wtf am i doing?? so i took a break from the fic and the stress went away pretty much immediately.

now. since i don’t learn from my mistakes, i did the exact same thing basically with the time loop fic, only this time i pushed myself farther AND i feel bad as hell because i said i would finish it for once 😭😭 unfortunately that fic compacted with the fact that it is march and i struggle in march freaked me out so bad that felt like i was going to explode so i ditched tumblr for a bit. i needed to Take A Breather so i dipped.

anyways i’m sorry for freaking you guys out, i def should have posted something. that’s on me. i promise i’m fine and i’m sorry to say that i will be pausing the time loop fic for a bit. but on the bright side, i’m gonna have a different fic for tonight!! i waited to come back until i came up w something bc i didn’t want to come back empty handed :))

The thing about Hickman’s Fantastic Four run is that, when you force Reed Richards and Victor von Doom to choose, Reed turns out to be full of world-destroying hubris, and the whole run is dedicated to any number of “bad guys” fixing his mistakes. By contrast, Hickman’s Doom is a terrible guy who knows he’s terrible, but who also actually cares enough to sacrifice himself for other people. And frankly, this is one of my favorite literary flavors.

Anyway what's up, the apartment my roommate and I applied for said we're about $900 short of the minimum income requirement, guess I'll die ✌️

This guy is killing me! I already didn’t like the Cybertruck. I am now never ever ever going to consider a Tesla vehicle.

I am currently (Dad joke alert) leasing a Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV and it’s pretty decent. I would prefer a lot fewer small motors: the door handles and side view mirrors all fold in and out automatically when you lock/unlock the car, I’m happy to shut my rear hatch manually, and I really don’t need the seat to move back when I open the door to get out. But I do think the last two are handy for people with disabilities. I would also like to be much less dependent on software for every function and not forced to accept everything in every over-the-air update. But that certainly is not unique to Hyundai! It also has a good range of driving modes (from “snow” with 4-wheel drive to “sport” which really kicks out the jams) and two motors, one on each axle. One giant plus is we got a home charger (level 2) for free and half off the installation cost as part of the deal. This makes it fully practical for commuting, errands, and day trips. Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
