Desain Interior Altar Gereja
Desain Altar: Tradisional vs. Modern

The biggest lesson I learned this year is to not force anything: conversations, friendships, relationships, attention, love. Anything forced is just not worth fighting for, whatever flows flows, what crashes crashes. It is what it is.

it kinda sucks that i’m left needing validation from this
but it was very validating watching a youtube video from another woman with the same job as me and noticing that she had all the same decorations that my mom pointed out as “something a man would buy to try to make it look more feminine”
like, no mom, we just have different taste. on top of being a woman, i am also a nerd, so i get things that appeal to me as a nerd. and even when it comes to not nerdy stuff, there’s a whole host of reasons why i have things they don’t seem like a woman would buy them to you, ranging from differing taste, to trying to fill space very cheaply and ending up with things that i don’t like, to not having much experience interior decorating and just getting it wrong sometimes, to the fact that I haven’t put any seasonal decorations away since last winter, to the fact that i just kind of like embracing the cringe sometimes like with the art prints of cats in fancy suits.
like one i think she points out is the lego heart in my kitchen:
and yeah, i also think it’s kind of a weird choice
it was meant to be a valentine’s day decoration, and then the decoration I had there fell and broke, so I just stuck this up there because it looked worse having an empty hook on a plain white wall, and i never got around to fixing it.
but yeah, seeing someone living in many ways a very similar life to me minus the being trans part, who ends up with basically a slightly more aesthetic version of what i have, makes me feel very good because it’s external proof of what I’ve been saying: i am a woman, i’m just not my mom.
#trans#transgender#queer#also if anyone could help me learn i do want to get better at interior design#i just haven’t stayed interested enough long enough to overcome unmediated adhd and actually find the right resource for learning about that

Back home and some complicated feelings about it again 😍 that said. Nothing beats my own beautiful bed
#sometimes I genuinely don't know whether I'd prefer to move back in with my parents or not#it wouldn't solve anything but I guess I could save up for a house? maybe?#but then again I can't right now because the point of being here is the learning and experiences#plus! I said I was going to try out the year. and we're only 1/4th through#which is a lot and not a lot simultaneously#back from friend trip agh. I miss the company even if being around people makes me self conscious#not my friend himself mind you but roommates I don't know as well as him. regardless. company nice#but the advantage of being at friend's places is that you can see what makes you feel at home in a place and then adjust that in your place#for example. my family never put a lot of stuff up on the walls#but I actually love rooms with a lot of framed pictures photos posters and such up. so if I do that here I'll like my space more#also!! I need to get more lamps#I love having various lamps around the place and I love not using overhead lighting#so I should invest in some home decor... for my gay little mental health#perhaps see what I can do to decorate for the winter holidays?#bien rambles#I've never been good at decorating or interior design but I can play around with it now...

as a kid I always thought eggs and omelettes were disgusting until I took culinary in 10th grade and figured out my mother just doesn't know how to cook eggs
anyway I'm having an omelette made from farm eggs given to me by a library patron and I just want to give a quick shout out to culinary classes in public education
#if ur in high school i recommend trying to take one even if you already know how to cook#you might learn better ways of doing things#also my culinary teacher also taught interior design which i ended up taking bc it was the only class with openings left#and she is the only teacher who ever taught me stuff about Living In the World#like in culinary she had us make resumes and conducted fake interviews to help us get jobs#as well as training us on food safety and proper cooking techniques she taught us money saving techniques and budgeting#in interior design she fucking taught us how buying a house works. she gave us all fake jobs and salaries#and has us search local house listings and make offers (to her). then she had us do the same thing but with renting an apartment#and assigned roommates to make roommate agreements and budgets with#also its just really fucking fun spending an hour a day cooking and eating lmao

crazy thing that happened sometime over the past couple of months is that i started enjoying touches of minimalist/modernist style? like i love maximalism but i've found i really like trying to figure out how to create the largest impact with the least amount of. stuff. going on. (that make sense?). i like creating things with a very clear vision/idea. like it knows exactly what it's saying and how it's going to say it. (of course i often break my own rules and i like creating chaotic maximalist things. but i do it purposefully, and not just for the sake of it)
#this goes for everything. graphic design interior design fashion etc.#i'm such a nerd about design theory and history#i love learning the rules so i know exactly how to break them (and use them to my advantage)
