Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately is Sam being able to control his leaps following “Mirror Image” (knowing that he’s the one ping-ponging himself across existence, not anybody or anything else) and how much control he’d potentially have over them. I think as he gets more used to the idea, he might be able to leap at will, maybe even to certain specific dates and to certain specific events that have happened and what the ramifications of that might be...

#ooc.#headcanon.#verse three.#this isn't really a thought yet but it has the workings of one maybe...#and it would be really cool for threads to have him like. be able to leap him (and others) into a different time Directly #but it might have to have some like... side effects or something...#and i don't think he'd be able to do it all the time #i don't know i might be onto something here maybe...#it ALSO ties into that 'sam is the other leaper' theory from the leapboot because #janis would know how her uncle sam thinks and she'd be able to key that into ziggy so ben can follow him...#we'll have to see what happens with him when he shows up because i'm Convinced he's going to #and even if it doesn't happen which it probably won't because... that would be pretty ballsy... i might make a verse anyway #spoilers #quantum leap spoilers
