'Glee' Reunion! Lea Michele and Darren Criss Reunite to Sing Iconic 'Glee' Cover for 'Carpool Karaoke' (Exclusive)

Gleeks, prepare to take a trip down memory lane! In the latest episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, Glee’s Lea Michele and Darren Criss, who played Rachel Berry and Blaine Anderson on the iconic FOX show, reunite to drive around New York City together while singing a duet — or several. In a PEOPLE-exclusive clip of the upcoming episode, the talented duo sings along to the Glee cast’s cover of Meat Loaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” — one of the songs that cinched the glee club its first national title in the series’ third season.

As the Funny Girl star, 36, belts along to the cover, which was a duet between her and Cory Monteith's character, Criss, 36, supports his pal on air drums and guitar, smiling along as she nails every note. “Yeah baby!” the Emmy-winning actor says before singing along with Monteith on the radio. As Michele’s next part approaches, Criss warns her — “this is you!” — to which she replies “I know!” before resuming the karaoke session, her current voice blending seamlessly with her 2012 self on the track. "Ah, this is why I had you sing it!" Criss tells his friend at the end of the PEOPLE-exclusive clip.

The talented duo also hangs out outside of the Carpool Karaoke car. Criss and his wife Mia showed up to support Michele in Funny Girl last fall. "The amount of times this guy has seen me sing 'Don't Rain on My Parade,'" Michele joked alongside an Instagram snapshot of the trio backstage. "I love you @ darrencriss and @miavoncriss." The full episode — and other brand-new episodes of Carpool Karaoke — will premiere on Apple TV+ June 23.

Doing this without Naya seems wrong and makes me so sad, she would've dished the tea. Also Dianna Agron is probably crying, screaming and throwing up right now, I hope she drags Lea Michele and Ryan Murphy.

Things I hated about glee

Don’t @ me I love the show

- Constantly making fun of Kurt w/ topics Chris Colfer was actually insecure about

- Having Naya Rivera constantly insult her costars when she constantly said in interviews she hated doing it and apologized to them after filming certain scenes

- Firing Naya Rivera briefly cause she confronted Lea Michele for being a “Diva” (rumour)

- Diana being blocked from appearing in“The Quarterback “

- Lea having to constantly talk about Finn/Cory like I know he was the heart of the show but that was her person and that must have been so hard for her

- Blaine & Dave’s whole relationship 🤢

So i recently finished Glee i want to talk about it. Ofc i love it

First of all i love Sue for using ship names and speaking of Sue thank you for trying to destroy that Glee club. Made them stronger and more amazing and powerful and i love you

Will Schuester thank you for those really important lessons. This video his students made was so real. He really taught me all those things he taught Glee club

Finn god ily im so sad and proud and happy at the same time. Giving that amount of inspiration is so great. And Cory always in my heart

Klaine im so happy for them yas my endgame AND YAS THE BABY

Rachel im so happy and proud of your work and that your dreams came true and that Tony omh but really Jessie. Ive never really liked him, i know he did all those things for her but come on. He wasnt the one. I actually would prefer Rachel being single and just having real friends. Ive never liked Jessie, ugh. Kinda hoped for Faberry at least more of their friendship. AND THE KLAINE BABY ILY

Brittana my girls im so happy for them also endgame

Quinn I really hoped for you to go Santana Lopez and be gay but i quess that wasnt for her. And as far as she and Noah looked amazing together there was still like a thing which wasnt really like right (?) idk i think i prefered Quinn single too but idk. Mark always in my heart. And why there was no Quinn in 5x13 excuse me wtf like the most important episode and also at Brittanas wedding. I missed her from so3 to so6 like there was really a small amount of her in those 3 seasons. Also toxic by her was so hot that oh my gosh i mean im so gay for dianna agron and im having such a big crush on her wow. Was really happy that usually there was one person who showed her right way and it was Rachel and im really happy that they were close friends bffs at the end and even there was a line „me and Rachel still email each other each weekend” aww. Although really hoped for more Quinn with Rachel those last seasons and overall missed Quinn. They really focused on other Glee members. But idc I love her so much

I could write about Glee so many things but the most important things are there. I like really loved Glee and i wish i have those things in my life

Today, six years ago, the last chapter of glee was broadcast on television.

Harry with Naya Rivera is seen in a photo. Some other photos are from the chapter transmitted. A publication of Naya Rivera's Facebook on March 20, 2015 and finally the famous photo of Lea Michele uploading the framed shirt of her boyfriend in the series and in the real life of Cory who died at the age of 31. Read Michele put this photo on her Instagram with the description of "One Last thing".

All I want to say is thanks to glee, I'm a different person and now I understand that belonging to something special makes you special.
