Do you think that if Ryan chooses not to renew his contract then that will sink the show or save it? Because I’m in two minds and a lot of it depends on Tim being able to breathe new life into the show with an exciting new character (or Ravi, I choose Ravi) and I genuinely don’t know if he’s capable of that.
I might hate for this, but - I don't think it will sink it.
Will the more toxic buddies leave? Maybe? I wouldn't be surprised if they still stick around to hate on the show. But even if they do leave, they're not that big of a demographic. I know in their minds there are millions of them, but that's simply not true lmao. So maybe some audience is lost, but honestly, I don't think it's nearly as many people as some may think. And this because (again don't kill me)...
Eddie just isn't all that. Fanon builds him up a lot (as usual is the case) but on screen? The writers have barely known what to do with him for years. He's indisputably a part of the firefam, but he's not a key piece of it, if that makes sense. No one fully relies on him, and they can survive without him. Even Buck tends to go for advice to Maddie or Bobby before he does Eddie.
Would the series lose? A bit, yeah. Don't get me wrong, I don't think his exit would go unnoticed. It would definitely be a challenge to fill his spot. But I don't think his exit would be detrimental, not in the way other people leaving would be.
To compare, I do see Angela leaving as the ultimate sinking of the boat for 911. Peter as well. But I don't think Eddie holds enough weight to sink the boat - not with the way writers have been treating his character, you know?
I hope this made sense haha. I didn't mean to be hateful, just honest.

how do you handle being on Twitter?
I was on it for a hot minute the month after the Brexit vote in the UK in 2016 and my mental health plummeted. It's literally a cesspool so how do you protect yourself from it?
hii @lazyturtlehottub! Thanks for the ask
To be honest, before 911 I didn't use to go into a lot of debates. Mostly Marvel, some PJO, some Glee and Darren Criss, and a lot of one reality show from my country. I only started to really get into debates post-704-ish.
Which. Yeah. Got to be a lot fast. My biggest advice is to protect your peace by all means. I do this by:
Block accounts. Even if they haven't interacted with me, sometimes Twitter will recommend a tweet to me because it falls into 911, or of the sort. If I see it's hateful or from a buddie stan, I block. I don't care if they haven't done something to me, but they're toxic, and I don't want any of that. So, in general - block any account that seems toxic or that upsets you, and do not look back.
Block words. This, honestly, was key for me. I kept seeing upsetting tweets, even after blocking dozens of accounts - but then I blocked keywords, and settled it so I would only see them on accounts I followed, and trust me: it did wonders. Now I only see Buddie tweets if someone I follow quotes them.
Again with blocking, but this time to mutuals or people you follow - I know it sucks to see someone you got along with start to become toxic, or too hateful, but on twitter it happens. If it does, and if it feels like it's no longer the person you follow, sometimes blocking or unfollowing is the only way, as much as that can suck.
Overall, I do not like to spend too much time on Twitter. I usually check it for five to ten minutes every few hours and then leave. If something big is happening that day (in the world or in 911), I will check it more. If not, 3 times a day, maybe.
But, again - protect your peace. Twitter isn't worth losing any of it.
My inbox is open for ranting, venting, and discussing (about 911 or any other topic)
Take care <3
