— It’s a strange place.
Yoru’s voice sounded thoughtful, and Laith glanced at him, curious. He could've mock him, but then Yoru probably wouldn’t say another word; and his chances to find out something useful would fade as well.
— What do you mean?
— What I said. It’s a strange place. Too many strange things happen here, and we cannot explain it yet.
He fell silent and stared at the walls in front of him.
Laith narrowed his eyes.
— Whole islands aren’t getting restricted out of nowhere, and people don’t go mad in droves. These "strange things" happen here for a long time already, while the EMB sends you here, stirring everything up without doing anything useful.
— It must be so.
Yoru's any willingness to chat faded as fast as it appeared.

Hello, everyone!
This month we decided to concentrate on advertisement. That’s why we can finally refresh our list of social nets, which update regularly now. We now have a VKontakte page; basically it’s the same as our tumblr page, but on Russian.
We've also started to post some short Resonance-related facts on our Twitter. You'll also find sets of these facts in our Tumblr and VK every week.
Besides, feel free to ask in our Tumblr whatever you are interested in! We will be glad to give you the answer (of course, with no spoilers).
However, advertisement wasn’t our only activity this month. We continue working on the sprites of main characters, Laith’s route in the text and backgrounds, one of which we’ve shared with you recently. It’s a corridor in the asylum (in the past — a prison), one of the essential locations in the first episode. It looks dismally, but it’s far from the scariest place to be in for our characters…
And now how about discussing some vital matters as a part of our monthly account of the Resonance world. Ardeya is a quite big country with huge population and has its role in the world’s economy. That’s why we want to tell you something about its financial system.
The local currency is shǎn — ϣ (Chinese: 闪, “spark”), which consists of 100 méi — ɱ (Chinese: 煤, “coal”). 1 shǎn equals $0,7.
Regardless Ardeya’s similarities to China, its close neighbour, the prices are much higher and resemble European ones. Thus, bus fare is about 1-3 shǎns and youl’ll have to pay 9 shǎns for a “portal subway” — magical mean of transport. 1kg of rice costs about 10ϣ and you can get lunch in a café for 20ϣ. 1l of drinking water goes for 2ϣ, the loaf of bread — for 4ϣ.
Housing prices are extremely high. One month rent of a one-room apartment about 30m2 in ghetto, in its worst area and in the terrible conditions, will cost you not less than 1 000ϣ, while in the New city a nice studio is worth 5 00010 000ϣ. To buy an apartment is an unreachable dream for themajority of inhabitants. The same room in ghetto will cost 300 000-350 000ϣ, and in the New city — above 1 million shǎns. Price for the two-storey house in the elite cottage settlement, where, for example, Yoru and William live, starts from 15 million shǎns and reaches unbelievable numbers. But the most expensive dwelling will be a “palace” in the New city — an enormous mansion almost in the city centre. Your charges for it will be more than 300 million shǎns, which is an unimaginable amount of money for the most citizens.
The average income barely corresponds to such expenses. In Ardeya, as in the most Asian countries, the gap between rich and the poor is gargantuan. Living wage is 1 500ϣ and the average salary in the capital is about 3 000ϣ. For instance, Ori works 4/7 all day long as waiter and singer and gets 1 800ϣ (incl. tips) monthly. He pays 1000ϣ for his room in the bar’s hostel and he has to deal with 25ϣ per day — for food, clothes and transport. Researchers as Tia and Mark or EMB's lower ranks as Julie or Neiro earn 4 000-6 000ϣ, senior officers as Yoru or owners of small business, as Ayreh, — 5 000-10 000ϣ. Entrepreneurs, who mix their legal income with illegal one, as Alvaro, can get a few millions, and the minister of the EMB, considering all his inputs and investments, reaches 15 million shǎns. But there are still some people far richer…
So what about you, would you like to live in Ardeya? If yes, then where and how?

We’ve had a little hiatus here on tumblr, but now we are back on track and have some important news to share.
@sylenth-l has finished drawing sprites for the game and @rina-lee has finished writing the script!
Sure, the writing still needs to be edited, but it’s still something. For now the word count is 50 038 words. After edit it’ll probably get a little bigger, since there are some missed little moments here and there. And after the russian version of text is completely finished and edited, we’ll start to think about the translation to english.
As for the art side: since the sprites are finished, @sylenth-l will soon start working on the CGs, as @laynesis is drawing backgrounds. So expect some pretty pictures here soon!
Thank you for staying with us 💙
