On Carriages and Gigs of Gentleman Jack and Anne Lister's Diaries
I started reading about gigs because I wanted to find out which gig Anne used when she travelled to the Lake District in 1824. This nonchalant question I've asked myself led me into a week long reading and transcribing pages from the diary that talk about Anne in York in autumn of 1821 buying that gig. (My wife did this generously for me, thank you). After I did find this out, I've asked myself what do we know so far about the other means of transport in Anne's time. Travelling was such an important part of Anne's life, and not just travelling abroad or long-distance travelling, but her often excursions to York by Highflyer or going to Langton by coach or in someone's carriage or taking a ride in the gig to Halifax or when she is in Langton with Tib. In one of the ALBW interviews we heard about how they filmed the scene with the Highflyer arriving to Halifax, or how Lister chaise was filmed in the air when being taken off the ship when reaching Copenhagen. But the topic of carriages and gigs certainly deserves more attention. The number of different models and types of carriages and gigs that are shown in the show is just amazing. Thank you Dorjana Širola for all the transcriptions. Thank you wikipedia and many websites for data and information. Thank you BBC for snapshots from the show.
Stagecoach
A stagecoach was a heavy and spacious horse-drawn carriage on 4 wheels pulled by 4 horses or mules. It could carry up to 20 passengers, some inside, some on the top of the carriage. Coachman was in charge of driving the coach or a carriage, having the control of the horses from an independent seat. He would usually be accompanied by a footman whose concern would be the passengers and transported goods. This was a public service coach meaning passengers would pay for the transport as well as for transport of their packages or letters. There was a net of posting stations scattered around the country where tired horses would be exchanged for fresh ones.
This one at the beginning of episode 1 must be the Highflyer, a type of stagecoach, that connected Halifax with other towns.
Coaching inn
When people travelled in their own carriages or gigs, they would be accomodated in coaching inns. Coaching inns provided stables and food for horses but also accomodation for travellers for the night. Those that survived to today simply became regular inns or pubs, of course without stables provided (but it's fun tracking down the old buildings and finding remains of prior structures). Read here just about how much traffic jams involving this type of transport were regular back in the day: http://www.wickedwilliam.com/principal-departure-coaching-inns-1819/
Cary’s New Itinerary
Travellers who travelled on their own were equipped with useful reference books on the road telling them where exactly they could find coaching inns and posting stations. The reference work of the time was Cary's New Itinerary, first published in 1798, on all the roads in England and distances between towns, and contained the “list of all Inns that supply post Horses and Carriages”. Anne used this while touring the Lake District in 1824.

The Lister chaise
Listers owned the Lister chaise, built in 1725, one of the oldest preserved carriages in the world. You can see it in the stables of Shibden Hall, if you already haven't. We see it in episode 1.
Interestingly enough this carriage doesn't fit the description of a chaise at all which is a 2 wheel light carriage for 1 person, with a folding hood or a calash top. Instead it better fits to a description of a post chaise: it had a closed body on four wheels, sat two to four persons, and was drawn by two or four horses. A postilion would ride on one of the horses that pull the carriage. It seems to me that post-chaise became the term to mean public travelling carriages that would change horses at post-stations, and that's why Lister chaise is a chaise, and not a post-chaise.
The real Lister chaise
The Lister chaise looks a bit different than this one shown in the show. "The green and gold appears to be the original colours, although at some point it was painted grey, before being restored and returned to its original colours in the 1950s" says Calderdale Council's brochure on Shibden Hall. The one in the show is simply rejuvenated, together with the colours but the model is the same. Here is the photo of the real Lister chaise. Credits Shibden Hall ...
Anne bought a gig!
In the autumn of 1821 Anne went to York to buy a gig from the famous York coachmakers Breary's. She bought a second-hand one, probably a model of Stanhope gig for £65.2.0 which in today's money is £3.738.72. https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/currency-converter/#currency-result
Tuesday 23 October 1821
…Mr. Duffin and I… went to Breary’s to look at the 2nd hand gig with a top to it – afterwards took Dr. Belcombe and Anne to see it, and I think I have determined to take it…
Friday 26 October 1821
…Ord[ere]d the gig at Breary’s – Handsome brass harness (evidently only used 3 or 4 times) and lamps to the gig, all together to £48…
Tuesday 30 October 1821
…Letter also from Isabella Norcliffe (Langton) – John Coates (the head-groom) strongly advises me not to have the yellow gig, but the green one, which will cost £15 more – at 2, went to Breary’s to /sic/ look at it again, and intend to follow John’s advice…
Wednesday 31 October 1821
…Eli Belcombe… went with me to Breary’s where I ordered the green gig, with lamps and harness and all complete six[t]y guineas…
Wednesday 19 December 1821
Had the new gig from Breary’s, and George and I drove from the Dr. Belcombe’s door at 11 ½ - the mare a little awkvard at 1st, and I had not driven an hundred yards before I ran against the wheel of a cart – however we came along very well afterwards – I drove the whole way, and we got here (Lowgrange) in 3 ¼ hours, 19 miles…
Monday 24 December 1821
…Mariana and I went out together at 2 – went to Breary’s – I ordered lamps to my gig, and paid him for the gig and all its appurtenances £65.2.0…

A gig is a light two-wheel cart for 2 people drawn by one horse. We know her gig was green, she bought lamps to be added on and it had a top that could be pulled out in case of rain. In this gig she travelled to the Lake District in 1824 with her aunt. Caradoc, her horse, pulled the gig and George Playforth rode on a hack-horse. As a breed Hack-horse was a type of horse that could have been used for riding but also pulling carriages or gigs. Since there is no gig in the stables of Shibden Hall, I consider Anne's gig to be lost.

Anne’s gig was Stanhope gig !!
This is a photo of Stanhope gig, the exact model I think Anne bought. Notice the top that can be pulled in or out in the case of rain, also the visible space for luggage under the seat.
Just like carriages, gigs were considered to be status statements and subject to changing fashions. As well as there was a high number of different types of carriages available, the same applied to gigs.
The Stanhope was a lightweight gig, similar to a phaeton. It had a high seat with a closed back and plenty of storage room for luggage underneath it. The Stanhope gig was a very popular design, first built in 1815 by Tilbury, a London coachbuilder, for the Hon Fitzroy Stanhope.

The Dennett gig
While she was buying the gig Anne was considering these other types of gigs, which were popular at the time.
The Dennett was also a two-wheeled gig driven by a single horse. It was enclosed at the rear and had room for luggage. Differences between the types of gigs consisted mostly in the number and arrangement of springs applied, and the additional space and equipment provided.
photo credits and more photos here : https://www.carriagelink.com/carriages?id=781528
The Tillbury gig
The Tillbury was a lightweight, two-wheeled, spindled-back seat gig, with no boot and no top. It was designed for short-distance rides around the town.
In Anne's own experience it's really difficult to understand all these types of gigs: “ ... surely the man at Leeds did not understand the difference between this [Tillbury] and a Dennet – there is a difference in the springs, the former having a cross spring, or more springs in some way or other the (lancer shafts) are more bent at the ends, and the box put under the seat is smaller than in a Dennet … ” (Transcription by Dorjana Širola)

A Phaeton
A Phaeton is a sporty open carriage, with a minimal body and typically with four extravagantly large wheels. It’s very lightly sprung and has no sidepieces in front of the seats. With open seating, it was considered fast and dangerous. Estate owners would gallop in them showing off. Phaetons can have a folded top as you can see here. If you want to know more: https://www.regencyhistory.net/2019/07/curricles-gigs-and-phaetons-in-regency.html

Rawson’s gig is a phaeton!
The gig from episode 1 that caused little Henry Hardcastle to lose his leg is actually a phaeton. Open, very fast and dangerous, with minimal space for anything else but the driver.
Mr Priestley’s carriage
Another carriage from the show is Priestley's carriage in which Ann Walker drives away from Shibden Hall after visiting with the Priestleys at the end of episode 1. It's also shown when Mr Ainsworth is leaving from the Priestleys in episode 5.
Mrs Lawton’s carriage
There are many other carriages and gigs in the show. Like this one, that brings Mariana Lawton to Shibden Hall in episode 1. Carriage or a coach is a closed 4-wheeled vehicle pulled by 2-4 horses. Horses are controlled by a coachman who sits in a seat up front raised up high for a good view. For private carriages groom would usually do the duties of the coachman. A coach might have a built-in compartment called a boot, used originally as a seat for the coachman and later for storage. A luggage case for the top of a coach was called an imperial; the top, roof or second-story compartment of a coach was also known as an imperial.
Miss Walker’s carriage
This is Miss Walker's carriage which we see a couple of times through the show. This is the carriage in which they went to York and back in episode 4 and the carriage which goes all the way to Scotland to take Ann back with James and the Priestleys.
Mrs Stansfield Rawson’s carriage
The carriage in which Mrs Stansfield Rawson and Miss Delia Rawson visit Ann Walker at the beginning of episode 3.
Mr Rawson’s Landau
The type of carriage Christopher Rawson uses to get to work is called Landau. Landau is a type of a four-wheeled carriage with the folding top divided into two sections, front and rear, latched at the center. Both of the sides can be pulled down exposing the passengers to the fine weather. It was designed for transport through towns, enabling passengers clothes to be seen from outside. It was to become a matter of status and luxury to own one of these. Today in some cities Lord Mayors still use them in ceremonial occasions.
Landau with the top down!
Another photo of Landau with dropped top on both sides.
Landaulette
And then we had recently in Brian Moseley's transcriptions:
“Friday 14 April 1820 Down stairs at 10-1/4 - Mariana and I, went up to Whitewindows to see Mr George Priestley’s carriage horse, (only one as yet bought) and his new dark blue landaulette built by Windus, a great city builder in town [pret?] between 4 and £500, and which, with the Priestley and Lea arms, quartered, and those of Kirkman in an escutcheon of pret[ence?] done au large on each pannel, is a city-like looking concern.”
A landaulet or landaulette carriage is a cut-down (coupé) version of a landau horse-drawn carriage. The landaulette retains the rear half of the landau's two-part folding top.

Fly
Again somewhere I read about another type of transport Anne used (sorry, can't remember where I read it!). Fly was a light horse-drawn public vehicle or a delivery wagon intended to move quickly and reach its destination in a hurry. Really interesting article here: https://brightonmuseums.org.uk/discover/2013/01/17/the-brighton-man-fly/
Lady Stuart’s carriage
The carriage which Anne uses when travelling between Richmond and London when going for Vere's wedding in episode 2.
Mr Sutherland’s carriage
Another travelling carriage, the one that belonged to the Sutherlands in ep 7.
Anne’s yellow carriage
Anne had a carriage as well, which she ocassionally used for her travels. In the show we can see it in episodes 7 when she collects it from the Norcliffe's and stops at York to have a chat with dr Belcombe. Also when she is in London staying with Mariana. She goes to Copenhagen with Miss Ferrall in her carriage as well. Also they filmed Anne(s) in it going to the wedding.
Carriage on booaaaaard!!
Or when she's arriving to Copenhagen, and the carriage is just being taken off the vessel. :) This is an excellent website on Regency types of carriages with good photos if you want to see more: https://regency-explorer.net/a-carriage-enthusiasts-paradise/
Caleche
At the beginning of episode 8, aunt Anne reads Anne's letter sent from Germany: “At Kassel Miss Ferrall and I took a calache and went to visit the Palace d’Hercule … “ The calash was a light carriage with small wheels, a body in the form of a boat and a folding top. Inside, it had seats for four passengers, outside was a separate driver’s seat. The calesh was mainly used for pleasure driving in a park. The caleche was the forerunner of the barouche, a carriage fashionable in the 19th century.
Britzka
Just the other day I read this line in Anne Lister's diary : Sunday 5 October 1834 “saw my father and Marian off in their new Britska-phaeton” (Thank you gentlemanjackthelass on Insta) and, of course, had to google this type of carriage. Also wondering, are we going to see it in Season 2?
The Britzka is a type of opened horse-drawn carriage on 4 wheels pulled by 2 horses. And that’s about it with its similarities with the phaeton. Britzka was a long, spacious carriage with a folding top over the rear seat and a rear-facing front seat. It could be adapted with all manner of conveniences (beds, dressing tables and so on) for the traveller.
Read here about this and many other types of carriages and gigs: https://www.geriwalton.com/vehicle-titles-origins-descriptions-1700s-1800s-a-c/

Insp:: CAREER.
Age 1-5: Floyd Lawton is born and brought up in a rich family. His father George Lawton is a real estate businessman across the country && his mother Genevieve Pitt belongs to a family of wealthy bankers. Floyd has a brother named Edward Lawton whom he adored more than himself && idolizes him. The family even owns their own railway platform along with a town including the local police station.
Age 5-7: Floyd excels in school like Edward (but Ed is better) at both academics and sports. The kid loves the idle sports (the rich kind of sports) tennis, horse riding or skeet shooting. The house butler, Bartholomew, maintains their daily schedules.
Age 7: Floyd wins 11 trophies for marksmanship already and the boy is climbing the ladder in shooting sport. As too is Edward.
Age 8-9: They start receiving abuses from their drunk father on a daily basis, even the elder man abuses their mother. Hatred for George begins.
Age 10: Hunting is another idle sport, they are now being dragged into woods by George to kill animals and he abuses them if failure occurs. After several attempts, Edward and Floyd murders an innocent deer for the first time in their life.
Age 11: The hunting scares Edward but encourages Floyd to walk into darkness. Thoughts of shooting George crosses but they doesn’t do anything. The hunting and abuses continue.
Age 12: Their mother Genevieve masters a plan of eliminating her husband, she brainwashes Edward to shoot the rifle at their father’s chest but Floyd stops him from killing George. Their father soon figures && starts beating Edward and despite all the protests angry little Floyd picks up the rifle and runs outside to climb up the tree. The aim was perfect. The crosshair targets George. Time to eliminate the evil man. He pulls the trigger but the branch breaks due to overloading and bullet misses the evil man. Edward Lawton is spot dead as the bullet finds his head. Floyd is devastated and broken into pieces. He kills his own brother whom he loved most. Genevieve fails too.
Age 13: The murder of Edward is covered up by George, because they have tremendous influences across the town. Floyd is given a two month break from school && is severely damaged (emotionally) from Edward’s death.
Age 14-17: Normal school life, normal sport activities continue while Floyd promises that he will never miss a shot in his life.
Age 18-19: The U.S. Marine Corps. initiates an internship program from where Floyd is selected for a month training. Immediate absorb to the Sniper Division happens when the authority recognizes that the boy has broken the record of shooting (over 4000 meters for the under 20s).
Age 20: Returns to town in order to complete school. Trains under the professional assassin David Cain, who teaches him his marksmanship abilities.
Age 21-23: Hears about the vigilante named Batman catching robbers and stopping crime. Floyd becomes enthusiastic to become a vigilante and selects a costume (which looks like the old west movies with a zorro mask) && names himself as ‘Dead-Shot ’. Just like Batsignal, he installs Bullseye shaped/Deadshot signal to his town and listens to the police radio to stop criminals. Catching criminals is extremely easy for the man since he uses his revolver to aim and shoot (only to disarm the criminal). But Floyd kills some because he considers of making a permanent solution because what Batman does is temporary && they come back again. Starts working with Commissioner Gordon when Batman is absent.
Age 24: Floyd gets addicted into this job && takes money from mafia rivals to eliminate opponents in their territory. He even sets up criminals where he disarms them to show citizens how successful he is than Batman. Batman has competition now. Realizes Dead-Shot is doing these jobs in exchange of money and killing criminals who could be changed into the path of light since their families depend on their work. Batman does a trick on Dead-Shot’s revolver when he broke into his manor and when they encountered each other Dead-Shot fired a perfect shot. Batman would be dead but the bullet misses him. After years, Dead-Shot misses && it shatters the marksman’s ego. He is taken into prison.
Age 25: His lawyer apparently saves him and Floyd Lawton was out. He thought of changing by marrying Susan. Floyd and Susan has a son then, names the baby after his brother Edward: Eddie. But unfortunate events led him to prison again. Events like murdering criminals again. His lawyer fails to save him now.
Age 26: While in prison, an unknown person visits Lawton and introduces himself as Colonel Rick Flag Jr. and offers him freedom in exchange of suicide missions. Lawton accepts promptly. Floyd Lawton is introduced into the Task Force Team A and to their Commander Amanda Waller. A highly upgraded suit with a red scope attached in the electronic mask is given. Meets Count Vertigo, Bronze Tiger and Captain Boomerang. Also other members. Floyd is officially a Government asset.
Age 27-29: Several Missions are finished and still going on. Gets admitted to Belle Reeve Prison along with the Task Force and receives the news that his son Eddie being kidnapped. During debriefing of a mission by Waller, Lawton leaves the room not caring whether she would detonate the neck bomb or not. She did not (perhaps she knew why he was leaving). Tracks down the kidnappers and ultimately reaches Eddie but the five year little kid is found sexually assaulted and murdered. How more can he break down?
Age 30: Angry Floyd turns rogue. Killing every one who stands in his way or anyone linked with his son’s murder. Nothing can stop him. Dead-Shot is more scarier than Batman now. Every criminal, every thug in dark alleys && even dirty cops were frightened. Is this a revenge? Is this avenging? Dead-Shot is killing and killing and killing to find the murderer. Eventually found the murderer and before even thinking shoots the murderer planting thousands of bullet holes. The murderer is dead but with more self investigation Floyd realizes that it was his mother Genevieve Pitt who is the master-planner of kidnapping her grandson. Time to kill his own mother. But Floyd’s therapist (assigned by Waller; Mernie Herrs) saves Pitt’s life by informing Floyd that this is what his mother wanted. To be killed by him && frame him---- eventually Floyd shoots but letting his mother suffer from the bullet wound to what she has done to her own grandson. Floyd escapes before cops arrive.
Age 31: Susan commits suicide.
Age 32: Floyd Lawton has nothing to live for. Suicidal tendencies comes into his mind. He even shot himself but finds himself to be alive as the bullet missed his heart. After several resurrections, he decides to stay with the Suicide Squad hoping he would die suddenly. (A peculiar relation is developed between Harley Quinn and him.)
Age 33: Standing at the graveyard thinking about his son Eddie one day, his lawyer appears with documents informing the death of George and Genevieve Lawton && it is Floyd’s responsibility regarding all the fortunes. Inside Lawton manor, as he is reading legal documents he finds a letter from a woman named Michelle Torres (whom he remembers---- from a random strip club 7 or 8 years ago) informing George that he has a granddaughter named Zoe. Floyd Lawton was a father of an eight year old girl. Without wasting time he meets them and offers the money (fortune) as protection but gets rejected. Soon the war between Mafia gangs in the Triangle (the neighborhood where Zoe and Michelle lived) is stopped by Dead-Shot when Lawton encountered Green Arrow (again). Arrow promises him to look after the Triangle and Lawton decides to make a fake death so that all the fortune goes to his daughter Zoe and she can then able to go to school.
Age 34: Leaves Suicide Squad and joins a covert operative team called Secret Six. With Catman, Bane, Ragdoll, Scandal, Knockout and Banshee they complete several missions.
Age 35-36: The Secret Six continues and Floyd Lawton looks after his daughter time to time in disguise.
Age 37: Sets up a private security organization of his own (mostly military contracting) and travels to other countries (usually war torn) where his employees are deployed. Also works as a professional hitman.
Age 38: Unfortunate events against the Justice League and he is again back to prison where Waller once again recruits him making sure there is no charges against him. The End to Secret Six officially.
Age 39: In and out of Suicide Squad like a yo-yo. Working as hitman when not in Waller’s radar.
Age 40: (Current age of the character. Roleplay verses depends on plot. This career post is comic based and a small extension of canon.)

Melvin Feller Looks At How to Create The Ultimate Real Estate Business Card
Melvin Feller Looks At How to Create The Ultimate Real Estate Business Card
Melvin Feller Business Group in Burkburnett Ministries and Dallas Texas and Lawton Oklahoma. Our mission is to call and equip a generation of Christian entrepreneurs to do business as ministry. We provide workshops and resources that help companies discover how to do business God’s way and provide a positive outreach as the director. When the heart of a business is service rather than self it can be transformed into a fruitful business ministry earning a profit and being of service to the community and their customers. Melvin Feller is currently pursuing another graduate degree in business organizations.
How much thought do you really put into the creation of your business cards. I'll admit when I first started in this business I didn't know diddly squat about marketing and I created boring business cards like everyone else. I had my company name, phone, address, email and website--that was it.
Luckily, I hung around some smart fellows and quickly learned the correct way to use business cards. First, I recommend having two different types of business cards. The first one is going to be a very professional card that you can hand out to sellers. This card is going to be the closest thing you have to a "boring" business card but there are still a few ways you are going to make it stand out.
On the front of the card put some type of catchy slogan so that sellers know that you are a real estate investor. Such as, "we provide real estate solutions" or "we will buy your house in 30 days or less". Then on the back of the card, I would give the sellers a reason to pick up the phone and call you.
What reason should you give them? The most reliable reason there is: The Free Special Report. Here's what I would do: On the back have it say "Call 555-555-5555 today to get a FREE copy of our amazing Special Report "How To Sell Your House in 11 Days Or Less No Matter Your Current Financial Situation". Then I would go on to say. "And if you happen to own a rental property make sure to ask for our FREE Special Report "The Five Little-Known Ways to Eliminate Tenant Hassles Forever. Call 555-555-5555 to get both of these reports today with no-obligation whatsoever."
Right there you have a turnkey "professional" business card. All you have to do is "cut and paste" the above information and you will have a better and unique card than 99% of real estate investors.
Now, on to the second business card you are going to have. This is where you can get crazy and let your imagination run wild. This card can be ugly and does not have to look professional at all. You will want to make this card bright pink, bright orange or bright yellow. You can use big lettering to let the world know that "WE BUY HOUSES AND CHARGE NO FEES". Of course, on this card you will still want to offer free reports on the back. In addition, do not forget, these cards are for leaving at the gas station, dry cleaners and tacking up on bulletin boards. Do anything you can to have these cards attract attention.
What I want you to do is pull out your current business card(s). How does it look? Does it offer any reason to give you a call? Does it suck? On the other hand, is it awesome and you don't need to change a thing? If your card needs a few changes, go to www.vistaprint.com and make up some new cards. Business cards do not cost much, so do not be cheap about this. In fact, business cards can be one of the best investments you make if you get a $10,000 deal off a 5-cent card.
In addition, to increase your chances of getting that deal, you should play the "business card game" with yourself. Every day, you should promise yourself to hand out five business cards or tack up five business cards---and you cannot come home until you do. Getting 25 cards a week into other people's hands (100 per month) will put you on the fast track to deals, money and less time spent working for "THE MAN".

“The unprecedented demand for Boston residential real estate made now the opportune time for us to sell the Tower at One Greenway,” said Jim Kelleher, Chief Investment Officer at New Boston Fund. “New Boston is extremely proud of its role in transforming the former Parcel 24 site into One Greenway and we appreciate the contributions of our many partners made throughout the course of this project.”
The HFF investment advisory team included executive managing director Matthew Lawton, senior managing director Riaz Cassum, managing director Chris Phaneuf and senior director Mark Campbell.

Bankrupt boss of Layezy Racing syndicate admits he owes £22m to thousands of members
Layezy Racing Syndicate Bankruptcy Recognizes He Has £ 22 million owed to thousands of members
Sportsmail investigation team Matt Lawton, Mike Keegan and Laura Lambert ]
Published: 22:30 GMT, March 19, 2019 |
Mike Stanley, whose gambling syndicate Layezy Racing was closed after a Sportsmail investigation, declared itself bankrupt for £ 22 million in syndicate members, it has emerged.
Former Kent police chief told insolvency officers that he & # 39; computer problems & # 39; and that the company had become too large to manage, with the number of members growing to 4,500 in the past year.
Sportsmail revealed earlier this year that I would like to inform you that this information is incorrect. Thousands of hard-working individuals in Kent and Essex had the irs in the syndicate gamble, which worked on a word-of-mouth basis and had a reward scheme to encourage recommending friends and family.
Many now fear that they were the victims of a Ponzi plan. Stanley has been interrogated by the police and executed a warrant on his home in Maidstone, Kent.
A report from the insolvency register says that there may be a deficit of £ 22 million, but that was the figure Mr. Stanley had given.

Estimated by the case officers, Mr. Stanley, who also founded the Layezy Racing Owners Club with 23 horses, has more than £ 2 million in assets, including £ 1 million in real estate, a £ 80,000 Rolex watch and two cars worth a combined £ 98,000.
He has 23 personal bank accounts, but the balances are
The report, which is scattered syndicate members, says: “When asked what his salary was from the company, he said that he took what he needed at the time.
& # 39; He said that all properties were funded by the company and by the end it became a pot, using it for everything.
The former police officer told insolvency officers that he & # 39; have computer problems & # 39; had had & # 39; computer problems & # 39; "
& # 39; The police station owners had computer problems & # 39; club was established to look after the horses; the syndicate money was used to buy the horses. "
The report also states: & # 39; In addition to the aforementioned assets, I have been informed that $ 482,309.51 in Bitcoins and £ 52,315.47 in Ethereum should also be realized depending on their current value. There is £ 118,393.91 in foreign exchange, € 555,095.88 in silver and $ 100,000 in an investment account in Australia.
& # 39; All these matters and the recoverable value of the trustees of Mr. Stanley's bankruptcy are on the agenda. & # 39; ]

5 Tips On Being A New Producer
For the past four months, I have been a producer of The Real Estate Deal. This is still a new position for me, and one that I never thought I would find myself in. I’d like to think that, for the most part, it has been smooth sailing during my tenure, and I want to keep doing it for as long as I am able to. So, for anyone who wants to get into the radio business or is starting out in it, here are some tips that will help you along the way.
1. Understand The Equipment You’re Working With
Regardless of what business you are in and how long you have been in it, it’s important to know how to use the tools that are needed for the job. In my case, I work with soundboards, microphones and Adobe Audition, which is my recording software. When you are first starting out, take the time to practice with the equipment to understand what they can and can’t do so you know what you’re doing well before the time comes to get proper work done. Of course if you cannot figure out a certain aspect of the equipment, ask your colleagues or fellow employees about it.
2. Be Available and Responsive With Your Host
This is something that I cannot stress enough: Communication is king. You need to be able to communicate with the people you are working with promptly and honestly. The quicker you respond to your co-workers, the more you’ll be able to get done. The main person I communicate with this job is the show’s host, Kevin Lawton. For example, if Kevin asks me to email him the times that I will be available this week, I say that I will get that information to him as soon as possible.
It’s also important to remember that it is a two-way street. Your host has to be good with communicating with you, telling you when you’ll be recording and if he’s bringing any guests to the show. This feeds into my next piece of advice...
3. Don’t Be Afraid Of Telling Your Host He’s Doing Something Wrong
Naturally, you don’t want to argue frequently with the person you are working closely with. That being said, you want to make sure that he’s doing his job professionally and to the best of his ability, so don’t be afraid to correct that person from time to time. We’ve got swivel chairs in the station’s recording suite that are feel real nice to lean back in. Unfortunately, they squeak rather audibly if you move around in them too much, which isn’t a great sound to hear when your trying to listen to a radio broadcast When this happened, I just told the host and the guest to limit their movement a bit more so those squeaks wouldn’t get into the recordings. They did, and the final product sounded better for it.
If you have a host that has little to no experience in radio broadcasting when they start out, try to nip any bad habits they may have in the bud when you first start working with them. Tell you host to get closer or further away from the mic. Tell him to put a bit more enthusiasm into his voice or to tone it down. If you iron any kinks out within the first month of working together, then the show can really get rolling.
4. Show Up Early
Being punctual is crucial in any kind of business. In the case of radio broadcasting, you don’t want to start the show late. While it’s fine to get there a minute or two before broadcasting if you and everyone else on board is on point and ready to go, it’s better to get there much earlier than that. I like to have at least 30 minutes in the recording suite before the scheduled time to test all the equipment to make sure everything is working the way it is supposed to. From personal experience I have hosting my own show, trying to fix something minutes before you go on the air is stressful, and can be avoided if you give yourself plenty of time to find these issues and fix them so you save you and your host a headache.
5. Reserve Your Space
What I mean by that is to make sure you and your host have the room to do the show in at the time you want to do it. Now normally, this will not be a problem if you always do your show live because that time will already be reserved for you. If you need to pre-record your show however, you need to let people know beforehand that you need the room to record. Whether you need to let everyone know a day or more in advance with an email, text, note or carrier pigeon (I won’t judge), it’s important to reserve your spot so you won’t be disturbed while recording.
