Hart of Dixie Appreciation Week JULY 25TH - Favorite Dynamic/s

Nobody asked but we need more HoD content, especially George/AB stuff. So here’s a list of headcanons (some I’ve discussed, some new) for them:

-George and AB traveled the world off and on for about a year post-finale. Even though they loved to finally see the world, they missed Bluebell a ton whenever they were away. AB still did skype girl’s nights with Zoe & Lemon and George called Brick every week...They moved back for good after Lemon told them she was pregnant. They wanted to be there for her. 😭

-During that year of travel, whenever they were in Bluebell they had dinner with Zoe every single night since she was the only one who wanted to hear about them and not the places they traveled lol. 

-Also during their travels, they get married on a whim in Paris. The whole town is pissed when they find out and makes them have a second wedding in Bluebell. 😂

-AB’s maiden name was Thibodaux and so her and George probably had to sit next to each other in all their classes (Bluebell definitely has assigned seats by last name energy). Even though they didn’t like each other, they would still share a look anytime they were feeling judgmental (like Lemon being pretentious, Wade hitting on a girl, Crickett saying something dumb). They also would have to share textbooks anytime the other person forgot one...

-They both went to Auburn at the same time, but ran in different circles. But anytime they saw each other on campus, they would share a smirk. 😏

-There were definitely a few really terrible double dates with George & Lemon and AB & Jake lol. Only Lemon really wanted to be there. Sometimes they would invite Crickett & Stanley to make it less boring. 

-AB helps Zoe deliver Lemon’s first child (full headcanon here: https://strideofpride.tumblr.com/post/183224307225/okay-so-i-read-a-line-from-a-fic-awhile-back-about) while she’s secretly newly pregnant. After she witnesses that, she tells George it’s a one and done haha. 

-There’s definitely a penile fracture incident at some point that Zoe has to awkwardly treat (or at least until she explains to them that George really needs to go to the hospital for surgery) because they don’t want Brick to find out. Brick does anyway of course and can’t look Annabeth in the eyes for weeks. 

-The couple they actually go on double dates with the most is not Lemon & Lavon or Zoe & Wade but actually Crickett and Jaysene. They make a really good, drama-free, antics-free foursome. 

-However they do try to do a family vacation once with Lemon & Lavon and Zoe & Wade and all the kids...it goes so poorly Lavon forbids them all from mentioning it again. 

-Despite AB’s claim that it’s a one and done, they still manage to have four kids in pretty quick succession...oops. Very on brand for them though. Three rowdy boys and one little girl who is overprotected by everyone: her dad, her older brothers, her Uncles Lavon & Wade, Zoe and Lemon’s sons. Jokes on them when she ends up a lesbian firefighter like her Aunt Jaysene. 😉

Thank you for answering me..I just got annoyed with that whole storyline because it made it seem like wade was in love vivian and over Zoe so quick? I don't know the back half of s3 was drawn out with separated zade. I agreed with everything you said tho.

np nonnie! no don’t get me wrong i still hate it but i NEVER got the feeling he was over zoe, the same way i never got the feeling that zoe got over wade. there was just a lot of hurt between them and people run from hurt! it’s only natural, if even if is frustration.

well i mean there’s no like PROOF it was drawn out but i know they had to make some different writing decisions because jaime was pregnant and missing for like 6/7 episodes. she was one of the leads after all, so in my head it was definitely easier to lean on the already established relationships i.e. zoe x joel, wade x that hoe,  and the falling apart of another, ab x lavon, for plots in the absence. also if anything was gonna happen badly with v*vian i feel like zoe AND lemon had to be a part of wade’s dealing with it, tho i love the writing in those eps and think it’s flawless.

anyways, yeah, my biggest thing is that i wish s3 was a little more squished in term of storyline occurence, some relationships, and then drawn out when it came to the response of events emotionally skhgjsg. thank you for hitting me back!
