literally i think the only watchable art youtubers are peter draws and (this may be controversial) lavendert*wne.

peter draws is just chill and reviews fountain pens and does cool abstract art. he had a series where he reviewed his subscribers' art but its more like a showcase where he just puts it all in a video and has nice comments abt it. its rlly nice to watch.

ive seen a lot of ppl who dislike lavendert*wne but i still respect her. yeah, her thumbnails and titles can be misleading and click baity but her art advice is genuinely good, and given in a nonjudgmental and unpretentious way. her style is super cartoony and mine is more grounded, but her advice is generally applicable and has still helped me a lot. i also respect the fact that shes honest abt the art process and doesnt cut her failures from videos, if she does a challenge or smth and it doesnt turn out the way she liked she still includes it. thats just a rlly brave thing to do, and i dont rlly see many other popular online artists who do that and it gives new artists unrealistic expectations.

read this book about a genderfluid kid where the author was trying to be Respectful by intentionally never delineating their assigned gender but the end result was that their parents never gendered them in text and their body was such that they could actively choose to look like whatever the hell they felt and they were angsting about it

Before being aware for environmental issues and zero waste, we used to have tons of products in the bathroom (and still have some leftovers): Shampoos, conditioner, shower gels with different scents, body scrub and different cleaning products and masks for the face. i really wanna like lavendert*wne-she seems like a nice girl tbh.  But for some reason I just can’t??? like her????  idk maybe it’s because of the way she decided on her current art style or maybe it’s the way that her art looks like literally every art student in california’s does.  I just really don’t like her work for some reason and I am very confused about it
