[Sunny is sitting at a log near a fire, staring into the flames. Pepito has long since fallen asleep in the shelter, and really she should be too. But she waits.

They had invited someone else to the shelter. Someone neither of them knew directly. She did it on a whim. Because the other kid seemed like they needed a break too. She owes it to chayanne anyway.

So now Sunny waits at the camp, to make sure 'Tallulah' makes it safe. A stick breaks behind them, and they whirl around.

The kid is a bit shorter than her with dark hair and a familiar face. She looks nothing like they did on the file, face molded into a firm, unhappy frown.

Sunny stands up and approaches her]

Hi! I'm Sunny!

[As she walks she roots through her bag. She pulls out a canned drink and some food. Just in case. She looks like she hasn't eaten nearly enough in her life.]

You must be Tallulah! Chayannes sibling, right?

[She holds out the food and drink in one hand, leaning on their cane]

The thing about the absence of noise lately, is that Tallulah had not played her flute in months. It's a jarring thing to know, treading softly around Missa as he exhaustedly tends to Chayanne, listening to the abject lack of anything in their home. It's quiet, like everything went to sleep, like the crows had all flown elsewhere. Ears filled with water with all the same pressure, it's suffocating here. She missed her papa.

So, she puts out a survey. She makes a joke of it, gets a geniune answer, throws shit at the wall and watches a family implode. She doesn't feel bad about it. She doesn't feel much of anything, right now. It's hard to be cheery, peppy Tallulah when it felt like the world itself was trying to snuff out any of the light she tried to create. So when she gets that message- that sweet little thing in her inbox, that child she didn't know or recognize, something twists. The waves crash harder. Tallulah loses herself in the darkness of the water.

And she goes. She takes her glider in tiny, six year old hands. She shoves all her hair under her mushroom cap beanie until she looks like a boy, wears the baggiest, grosses hand-me-downs Juana could give, and she jumps over the wall's edge. It kind of feels good. Just as freeing as it always does- leaving. Lull leaves.

She can see why her mama would do it so often.

It takes forever. Feet pad against grass, tree root, shivering in the cold she was vastly unprepared for, waves lapping at her mind. She listens to the noise of the world, hands tight on a sword, shaking as she wanders further and further. If this was a trap, she was falling for it. Part of her didn't care. Part of her wondered if anyone would notice. The ocean is loud in her ears like a far-off nightmare, the beach lapping at her ankles.

She finds herself at a little stowaway. She's not exactly smiling.

Nephrite which is the more common stone and jadeite which is rarer. ( There are a lot of stones that use Jade in the name, which are not jadeite or nephrite but I will not go into those here.) Burmese Jadeite comes in some spectacular colors. Green, lavender, white, yellow/brown, orange/red, and even blue! These bracelets are creamy pale greens, brown/yellow, and lavender. Jadeite and Nephrite are very similar metaphysically. They are both widely used for good luck, strength, calm, harmony, and grounding energies.
