Coffee cup in hand, Zeke burrowed his head in his work. It was a rare moment for him to be lost for words but there was a first for everything. Putting his pen down, he wrapped his free hand around the smoldering hot coffee to warm him up. The new coffee place was becoming his sanctuary and it provided him with the space to muster up plot twists for his favorite characters. The characters in his books were ultimately his only friends, the fictional characters that he had taken months, nay years building up yet they weren't complete it. You had to go through many obstacles in life to get to the place you need to be or what was the point? So he thought besides, his character's hadn't reached that destination yet so it was going to be months until he finished even one book. Taking a sip from the coffee, hoping it had cooled down, it burned his tongue. Trying to cover it up, he put the cup down quickly to pick up the napkin. Pressing his lips together, he looked down to cover the pain. He hadn't even noticed the girl who had sat in front of him, obviously taking a seat in the only vacant spot. Awe struck, Zeke felt like he couldn't take his eyes off of her. It was like the epitome of his favorite character Aurora had come to life in front of him. It took him a while to realise he was staring until he quickly picked up his pen again hoping she wouldn't say something to him. Zeke was the kind of guy who avoided confrontations no matter how much he wanted to speak to someone -- fear over taking every instinct in his body.

Nova had been walking home from work, deciding to walk because it hadn't snowed too much yet, and she wanted to get out again. She was a bit nervous about it, being that the last time she went on a walk, well, let's just say she met with an old client and nothing goes well when she bumps into one. She looked down, shivering at the thought and the gust of wind that came through. She pulled her jacket closer to her body, looking up, just as she almost bumped into a girl. She stopped, almost bumping into her. "Oh - uh, I'm sorry." She stammered out, gripping her bag that almost fell off of her shoulder.
