Bloomurder
Tumblr media
This is a zinester I discovered on Etsy. They have a few different types of zines. They have botanical and literary-inspired zines, as well as poetry zines. If you follow me on Instagram then you already know I am really into poetry, so that’s what I have from Bloomurder.
Spring time pleasures
This one is a mini poetry zine that is spring and flower themed. The poetry is typed on a typewriter and copy and pasted onto the sheets along with images of flowers. A fun touch/bonus: inside of zine unfolds to a flower collage poster. A fun zine to look over multiple times.
Celestial
A poetry zine that features poetry by bloomurder accompanied by some of their favourite pieces of art. Poetry in this collection is celestial themed, it is second in a trilogy of poetry zines, and curated from all the poems they wrote between 1997 - 2016. I love that they included the title and artist for each of the art pieces featured so you can look into it more if you love the art as well. I think my favourite poem in this zine is Refugee.
The Lilac Dreamer
This is a beautifully handwritten poetry zine that features a single narrative poem which includes a few photos of lilac trees, that I believe were photos taken by bloomurder. I really enjoyed this one. They did a great job with the storyline. I imagine they could write really cool short stories someday if that is a thing that is of interest to them.
Vapid
This is a poetry zine which includes poems that feel like moments of lost hope. Each poem is pasted onto a simple background that brings attention to the poem and adds to that stark feeling these poems inspire.
After seeing what a great job they did with their poetry zines it leaves me wanting more. You should definitely check them out. You can find them on Etsy, Instagram or Facebook. You can also email them at [email protected].

The Bibbys in Pottersville [part 1]
In 2013, Kathy Maiorana of the Johnsburg Historical Society interviewed, as a living history, Bill Bibby, a long time resident in North Creek New York, a town in Warren County. He noted that the Bibbys were in Pottersville until 1950s. This brings us to the question of the Bibbys in Pottersville. It is a small hamlet of Chester, New York, within the Adirondacks, and in the Schroon Lake Region. Bibbys are clearly present in the town. The New Pottersville Cemetery has 13 Bibbys buried there:
Nicholas Bibby Co L 2 Regt NY Cav 1831-1909 Eliza Nicholson Wife of Nicholas Bibby b Dec 25, 1844-D Aug 17 1908
C Werthmuller Wife Eleanor Bibby Jan 25, 1877 d April 19, 1911
Dr. George Bibby 1886-1964 Wife Jane Tobin 1892-1959
Frederick N Bibby M.D. 1833-1934 Wife Myrtle McFarland 1875-1918
Thomas S. Bibby d Dec 27, 1915 a 80y-Wife Mary A Wallace d April 27, 1914 a 76y
Alida Bibby
Laura Elizabeth Bibby VanDerwarker (1871-1955)
Alice Jane Bibby Westcott (1924-1994)
Margaret Nicholson Bibby (1849-1894)
A website for New York Gravestones lists Ella Bibby (1855-1884) and George H. Bibby (1863-1867, it claims 1862 incorrectly) as buried in the Old Pottersville Cemetery. Both Ella and George are mentioned on Find A Grave, but three more are added:
George Harold Bibby, Sr (1821-1905)
Anne Lavery Bibby (1835-1919)
Samuel B. Bibby (1798-1885)
Still, this doesn't address the main drive of this article. What about Bibbys in Pottersville?

Warwick led throughout but Dalby got within two points in the second half. Coach Peter Millard said the game was a bit scrappy but the boys stuck to their guns. "Daniel Bowles took four marks in the first quarter as our young players again stood up to be counted. On the screen came the words to the song, handwritten by Paul (which Peter keeps in a safe!), followed by the bridge written in red (because it was an emergency!). "World Without Love" of course went to Number One all over the world. They did all the TV shows in England, and then later in America, including the Ed Sullivan Show, of which we saw a clip. To draw the first two and them come back with two straight wins, yes, I happy with this. I think eight of 12 points not having lost Coach Outlet Sale a game makes us happy. Finished third in the Spring Season standings with 14 points, five back of Forge FC for second and 10 behind Cavalry. It was insane. It still is insane, she told Pro Football Talk's Peter King. "I could not believe the attention on social media. Secured with our iconic turn lock closure, it's crafted in refined leather. The organized interior zip and open pockets hold a phone, cash, coins, and cards. Refined calf leather. Bucks Coach Outlet Online forward Khris Middleton has been named a reserve for the All Star game coming up later this month. It the first all star selection for Middleton, who is averaging 17.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his seventh season in the league. He joins Giannis Antetokounmpo as Milwaukee all stars this year making for the first Bucks duo to be named to an All Star game since Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson were selected in 2001, In 2011, Kyrie Irving left Duke after an injury plagued freshman season. In 2012, Austin Rivers of Doc, the Clippers coach one and done. And now Jabari Parker, a bona fide NBA star prospect, likely just played his final college game, despite some whispers he may stay one more season. Ballarat Football Netball League has named four Sovereigns players for its open team in Laura McDonald (Lake Wendouree), Lauren Atkinson (East Point), Erin Riley (Redan) and Jordyn Bibby (North Ballarat City). Ballarat captain Georgia Cann (Sebastopol) has captained in VNL champion ship division, while centre courter Stacey McCartin (North Ballarat City) has a wealth of VNL experience. For a player such as young East Point goaler Lauren Jew, the reward is being recognised for her stellar sharp shooting this season and the chance to mix it with the best in the league on her home court at Eastern Oval before the packed grandstand, usually reserved for finals netball.
