Kevin Hart: Future of Comedy?

 As for the history of cinema, one of the oldest genre such as comedy all began with films with no sounds and people exaggerating the reactions to make people laugh. As well there are comedy drama that was based on an illicit love affair or any other issues. Also, compared to other genre in comedy it mostly based on individual in stars unlike the other genre such as action and horror.  The era that Kevin Hart belongs to was when stand-up comedian wasn’t well recognized and becoming actors was a Hollywood dream but as we later became aware of the transaction not being a dream but an actual reality. I believe the history of cinema consist of innovative and has its traditional points as in the way the genre comedy is supposed to be done. In the way, that many comedian has to brainstorm many ways to keep the people entertain while they are on stage, but as for the traditional part are the expressions and exaggerations of many comedians to make the audience laugh. As for the innovative side of cinema consist of “With all of us awash in a vast and ever-expanding sea of entertainment options, most available at the click of a button or the swipe of a finger” (LA Times)  ,therefore many comedians have to stay up to date.  

 Kevin Hart a comedian/actor is known for his role in “Paper Soldiers”, his first stand-up called “I’m a Grown Little Man”, “Think Like a Man”, “Ride Along”, “Laugh at My Pain” and “Get Hard”. The breakout moment of Kevin Hart is his first stand-up comedy, which opened more doors towards Kevin Hart future. Allowing him to be part of “Think Like a Man” and other high gross movies. After, Kevin Hart first stand up people began to search him up and even mention him with great comedians. He became the top making (87 million) American comedian/actor finally passing Jerry Seinfeld and Kevin Hart is only 38 years old. Kevin hart embodies about giving back to the community and able to help the younger generations and able to do as much as possible during the time that he is living. It can be either through organizations for scholar or having interactions with his fans. Also, Kevin Hart believes that through his experience, he can teach others how to avoid meaningless situation and the way you should act if you were in one. Kevin Hart represents that with hard work, determination and focus in anything you choose to do in life.

  The importance Kevin Hart upholds in the U.S is that Kevin Hart was the first comedian to sell out an NFL Stadium and even came out with a book that appeared at the top of the New York Times best seller list. Without Kevin Hart, people won’t be as into comedy, since it was a certain moment that many kids weren’t having fun and actually laughing. Kevin Hart recurring line “All right, all right, all right” became a favorite line among the audience this demonstrates the importance of Kevin Hart in the U.S. As for Kevin Hart importance in international culture is known for his stand-up comedies that he has done and the meme’s that the people who has gone to watch his movies or stand-up creates of him or even fans of Kevin Hart. In society, I would say Kevin Hart has become a foundation in stand-up comedy or even comedy itself and people uses the Kevin Hart meme, while texting to their friends.

  Kevin Hart fandom also consist of people using   “The tactics of distinction all revolve around claims to authenticity – of being the true fan.” (P.326, Devereux). In Kevin Hart fandom his “real” fans consist of those who knows the accomplishments of Kevin Hart and is up to date with the movie he is part of. As for a non-authentic fan will only know of his latest movie that has gotten a lot of attention. Another thing that occurs in fandom is that there are fans who  “Never followed his career, and some may never have seen his film”(Duffett), but when a movie or the death of this star happens many people just join in as if they were his “real” fan since the start. The importance of fandom is that it makes the actor/comedian feel appreciative and makes them put a lot more effort into the works they are providing to their audience.

 As for Hollywood star system comment about “Basically, stars are paid too much.” (LA Times), although Kevin Hart gets paid a high amount, in his case the results are sufficient to be part of another movie and the energy that is brought to the scene and towards the movies is worth its pay. Even though, the Hollywood star system won’t be able to hold Kevin Hart, because he build up his fans from his stand-up comedy days and Kevin hart built his own studio production company in which he doesn’t have to rely on Hollywood studio and doesn’t need to be part of any yearly contract.

 The importance that this fandom has in America is it brings comedy into the headlights once again and makes the people of the world enjoy the a gif of a certain moment that was put together by a fan of when Kevin Hart was being himself but its seen as funny by others. Also, the reason it matters is, because many of those fans in the Kevin Hart fandom consist of people relating to what Kevin Hart is saying on his stand-up or his hard work and dedication into a stand-up or movie or Tv show.
