So much love. I’ve posted about Morris in the past and how his seizures were remedied with Reiki for a long time. Sadly, his seizures started increasing in frequency the past couple of weeks and a visit to the doctor was quite illuminating. I asked about his Prozac dosage and whether or not we could reduce it - I had a feeling that his seizures were related to his Prozac somehow since he’s been on it for a while. After a bit of investigating, my vet found out that Morris NEVER should have been on Prozac and an anti-seizure med simultaneously - which was incredibly frustrating for me, particularly as a Holistic Practitioner. In response, we’ve taken Morris off of Prozac and my old dog has returned, practically overnight! He snuggles, jumps on the bed again and has so much energy.  I just wanted to share this bit of knowledge with anyone who gives their dog multiple medications - please do more research outside of the doctor’s office. Some vets have outdated books (like mine did) and won’t actually look into something unless you are very proactive. We’re contemplating pulling him off the seizure meds to determine whether or not the seizures actually came from the Prozac in the first place and I’ll definitely keep y’all posted.
