Darksiderstober 2024 Day 7+9: Quote and Angel

Had alot of stuff to do, but was able to crank out a digital piece combining two days! A quote from one of my fav angels, Uriel of the hellguard and her last words to Abbadon, someone she once respected and possibly loved...now calling him out for his betrayal. Mayhaps a sticker in the future, in the meantime just showing I'm not dead, just surviving a hurricane, all good😅. Still have some announcements so stay tuned!

actually anzu should probably give the full long story on how the len mental illness really happened. its very long ! and a bit personal mayhaps but anzu doesnt really mind, its nothing too much. the general jist of it was already told thru how anzu discovered yomorins works and fell in love with him.. forever now probably. and hereby anzu is very grateful towards yomorin and len-high prison... but! theres more to how it got to that

in a distant land. also known as the year 2020. okay well actually before this, this may shock some people but anzu used to date people. this is absolutely crazy right.. well anzu doesnt do that anymore. unless len himself counts 💛 BUT ANYWAY ! 2020 was the last year anzu has ever dated someone and anzu wont get in the details here, but 2nd last person anzu has ever dated was someone that's cosplayed len. anzu [only] ever drew len before during this period so anzu doesnt really count it because it was either him or for him...! so really, anzu has never drawn len in anzu's entire life until 2024. until the big project diva art ! tiny ...

well anzu just spoke ab this recently on twitter, len was sincerely the one anzu cared for least out of aaaaall the main ones. anzu has drawn every single other one before besides him... well! it happens.

anzu bought up the beginning after cut because its relevant somewhat...! that person that anzu's dated then was also a yume to certain modules or vocaloids from songs and anzu remembered that on a whim one day ... and was like wow... anzu can try that too....... upon looking at what vocaloids from where or what to yume. anzu got laughed at by friends that every single one anzu chose was a len. 😭 its ok anzu gets it it is joke worthy... 😔😔😔 well! the first one was giga's arrange cover 1 2 fanclub len on 4th november. anzu drew him then ! but then......... something monumental happened....... <- merry sexmas came up on the recommended section, as anzu had just talked ab that song a day prior w friends. anzu got to talk ab how anzu specifically remembered that besides not caring about len... anzu always loved the one drawn by yomorin since all the way back in.. like.. 2015!! and then. anzu wanted to save the art of that one in higher res.. and anzu had hence discovered yomorin the very next day and anzus life was sincerely changed forever. anzu did not know about len-high prison prior, or that merry sexmas was made under that group. or EVEN THAT GIGA MADE IT 😭 anzu has proof of having liked it since 2015 though........ but that art will be a surprise for now for a bit longer because anzu has a devious plan 💪

thats basically it........! as for anzus ex... well anzu doubts this will ever reach him but if it does, anzu really wants to thank him as well, because this also wouldnt have been possible without him, and this is the happiest anzus ever been...! ww. anzu also hopes hes fine and well :)

Beware of Scam Bots

TL;DR: @craftpatch is a scam bot. Report and ignore if she ever comes to you. In fact, even if she doesn't come to you, just report her right now.

Legitimate art commissioners are hard to come by for small artists like me. Scam bots aren't new to me, but I like to talk about my experiences when any pass by my radar long enough for me to see their modus operandi first hand. @craftpatch commented on one of my commissioned works a few days ago, asking if she could get one of her own. 🚩First red flag: She couldn't initiate private messages even though my inbox is open, so she asked me to send her one first.🚩

I did a very quick skim of her blog. A few scrolls told me she was probably okay. She had some art and even answered some asks. I messaged her, giving her the benefit of the doubt since I haven't had any customers in a while. She asked me about my commissions and pricing. 🚩Second red flag: She asked me about my prices even though I already gave her a link to that in our conversations in the comments.🚩 I talked about what I offer and gave her the link again, asking what she wanted so I could give her a price quote. 🚩Third red flag: Her next reply had nothing to do with the current conversation.🚩 She started talking about payment options without acknowledging my reply to her question.

I did a proper sweep of her blog this time, now actually taking the time to look at her tags and notes. 🚩Fourth red flag: Her tags had nothing to do with the art being displayed. Some even included the AI tag.🚩🚩Fifth red flag: Her very first post was made on the 13th of November, 2024, only a few days before she first commented on my artwork.🚩 And here's the 🚩nail in the coffin: She commented on her own post, asking if she does commissions.🤦‍♀️🚩

I said my last piece, reported, and blocked.

In conclusion, please watch out for the red flags I listed and stay safe. Mayhaps give me a helping hand and report @craftpatch as well. I wouldn't say no to anyone messaging me if you're a real person that wants a commission either.

New character unlocked!

Again these panels are removed from the narrative once again. And it looks like whoever Peregrine Mendicant is might be heading towards our Wandering Vagabond.

I love the many mailboxes in a suped up shopping cart juat being pushed across the desert. For funsies I looked up their name (because you know me, always gotta be googling words). Peregrine means traveler, migratory, or wanderer. Mendicant is synonymous with begger BUT, A mendicant is someone who (as part of religious practices) lives in poverty and survives on alms. Kinda neat. I did a quick search on Wandering Vagabond and funnily enough the overall meanings for these two are the same, someone without a home or money who travels from place to place. I am fascinated by this information.

Back to the real bussiness though.

WV tries to leave the room and not only discovers there are other rooms, but is now trapped here for some reason.

This cylinder room they are in stays stationary while the outide rooms actually rotate to whichever room is selected on the LCD screen.

The room they came out of has our client side SBURB house logo, the one to the right has a triangular fractal kinda pattern and the one on the left has the SBURB spirograph logo. THIS is the room 3 that was locked by the previous inhabitant. Since its locked we go to the fractal room.

Behold Earth! And Skaia mayhaps? Im patting myself on the back for the bad art I made previously even if its not exactly the same. Between the two screens are a couple different numbers on a smaller screen. The first two look like latitude and longitude for coordinates, the third is elevation and the last is date and time [4/13/09 at 12:13] @homestuckreplay did great work going into more detail on location and solving the mystery of Johns timezone so go check out his post for that. The buttons on the bottom are again, Sburb house, fractal, and this time the LCD screen map. Theres also a meter stick.

You immediately craft a MEASURING SPEAR through possibly the most advanced form of alchemy employed thusfar.

Or not.

On the other side of the room is some sort of laser type of thingy that WV prods with their new found meter stick in the name of SCIENCE. But its probably better to just push some buttons and hope for the best.
