ETUDE HOUSE [Pink Bird] February Box: Wonder Fun Park Line Swatches & Review ♡

Hi hi ✌︎. It’s that time of the month again...no, not that time of the month, it’s Pink Bird box time! For February’s box, I decided to go through all the products in one post just to change it up a bit and also because all the products don’t really require a super in depth review. This month’s theme is from their new line Wonder Fun Park and it is beyond adorable. I loove theme parks so they have definitely won me over with their concept and packaging! But of course it’s the product performance that is most important. 

Here is the list of products I got sent this month from the line:

• Dear Darling Soda Tint [PK001 & BL601]  • Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara [Pang Pang Purple] • Candy Highlighter  • Highlighter Brush 

Etude House were lovely to send me some extra goodies for my birthday month and I’ve shown them at the end of this post but I will do a separate review on some of those products in the future. 

First up we have two Dear Darling Soda Tints. There are 10 colours, with 6 being cool toned pink and reds, and 4 warm tone oranges and corals. I was sent 2 cool tone colours: PK001 and BL601.

Packaging They both come in clear plastic tubes with a mint green screw on cap. 

Claims  • Bright and clear colour expression • Smudge-free, close adherence to lips  • Dewy moisturising texture 

The applicator has a heart shaped tip and actually picks up a lot of product. You’ll be able to see each of the applicators below. 

Let’s start with PK001. 

PK001 is a bright pinky red colour. It looks extremely bright in the tube and the swatch but it’s actually not too bad when you apply it. 

Unfortunately the application is really streaky and you can see it how it just looks like a layer of product on my lips in the photo below. The tint doesn’t stay put and moves around as I was trying to get it settle. At this point it feels slippery on the lips. I used my finger to try and even it out afterwards but all that did was transfer the product to my finger 😩

Sooo I decided to do a kiss test - which is basically where you use a tissue to get rid of excess product. It looks much nicer and more natural afterwards. The staining power is average so it was easy to remove. 

NEEEEXT. 

BL601 is a purpleish bluey colour in the tube but when you apply it, it’s very sheer and looks more like a gloss. It looks very shimmery and from the tube, I assumed it would be an actual blue-purpley colour it actually changes colour when it’s on your lips. 

This one I was skeptical about at first but I actually like this one a lot more than PK001. The effect you get looks like the Dior lip glow but with some sparkle. I didn’t need to do a kiss-test with this one. As you can see from the photo below, it gives a nice soft glow to my lips - quite pretty! 

On to the mascara! There are 2 colours: Purple and Mint. Mint looks more turquoise to be honest from the photo. I got sent purple and I fun testing it. 

This is my first time trying an Etude House mascara, meaning I can’t compare it to other mascaras they have, sooo I will give my first impressions on it based on what I look for in mascaras. 

It claims to have a 24 hour curling and waterproof effect. You get 8g of product. 

IT’S SO CUUTE. Does anyone like riding the pirate ship? I used to hate it when I was younger but now I could go on it and endless number of times. 

“This is a curl fix mascara that completes powerfully curled up, long-lasting fine eyelashes with its strong adherence on drooped lashes.” 

Basically that means this mascara should have a curling effect on your lashes without needing to use a curler and the effect should be long-lasting. 

Here is the wand! This is their C-curl brush made with “densed elastic white hair”. The shape of this brush is meant to give a natural curl without needing to use a curler. 

On the box it’s directions say there are 2 steps.  Step 1: use the inner surface of the curve starting from the root of the eyelashes and work it to the tip. This is how you get the curling effect. 

Step 2: use the outer surface of the curve to lightly touch the tip of the eyelashes in order to lengthen and thicken them. 

With one layer it took a few tries and even then I couldn’t coat the inner corner area. It takes a while for the colour to really show but I didn’t want to poke around the inner area too much so that’s why there’s nothing there (sorry haha).

The consistency was really wet for a mascara so it doesn’t coat my lashes evenly. I’m pretty sure I don’t have as many lashes as it looks in the photos because with other mascaras, it definitely doesn’t look feathery. 

(I added some plum coloured eyeshadow in the second photo unless you couldn’t tell 😋 ) 

With another layer on, the mascara becomes really clumpy and not so flattering. It hardened my lashes and it also felt like I just had glue on. I think I could get away with wearing it on the lower lashes to add a pop of cuteness.

If you guys are in on the latest beauty trends, you will know that there was this trend going on with rainbow highlighters. It looks like Etude House have come up with their own rainbow highlight and it looks delicious 😅  I’ll talk about the highlighter first then mention the brush later on. 

Once again cute af packaging! 

The highlighter consists of 5 pastel shades that should blend together to create a beautiful highlight. You get 7.5 of product. 

Where do I begin with this highlighter :/ To be completely honest I can’t find anything good to say about it. In the photo it doesnt look too too bad but in real life it really just looks like a streak of white glittery chalk on my cheeks. It’s very powdery and chalky looking. While it does give that highlight effect on my cheeks, it doesn’t look natural. The highlight itself doesn’t last long and it can be easily rubbed off. 

There are a lot of fall outs if you use a brush that isn’t dense enough.

The last product from the Wonder Fun Park line in this box is the highlighter brush. This is a true unicorn-like brush xD the handle is white and the bristles have 3 pastel colours - supposedly to match with the highlight. 

Unfortunately this brush doesn’t work well at all with the highlight because the hairs are very sparse and are too long. The bristles are soft though, but the brush just doesn’t pick up anything. 

Instead, I would use this brush for powder or to stipple out cream blushers.

That’s it for the February box! That’s already 2 boxes down. Final thoughts: these products from Wonder Fun Park line are super adorable but the product performance is quite poor. Out of all the products that I received, I would probably only use the Dear Darling Soda Tints again.

After months of doting, loving, adoring Steve, because he requires the time and trust of convention, you sink to the floor and say, “Will you do something for me?”

A muffled jingle as you slide the denim down and marvel at the way his cock rises from his boxers. Majestic, heavy, wondrous thing. You love it and he rarely lets you get a good look at it. Shy boy.

He’s blushing pink when you slip it off, letting the tip brush against your cheek. You nose the underside of him, hands up and down his strong legs. He smells warm and musky. Lovely, like always.

Squelching when you push him back past your molars, crushing your tongue.

You slide him out, voice hoarse and breathy and it chills him to the bone the way you whisper, “Door’s not even locked. Someone could come in at any time.”

With a two-handed fisting, you squeeze deft strokes, slippery with saliva. It’s amazing, he thinks, how you look so innocent while doing the kinds of things he tries not to think about in public. A determined suck and you cup his balls. Fuck, he loves that. Won’t say it, but you know it, too.

“Make me look so pretty with your come on my face.”

Even though he’s the one jammed halfway down your esophagus, Steve chokes. It stirs him, and your eyebrow raises the same time he pulses. Improper for Captain America to be turned on by that, isn’t it?

He sees the twinkle in your eye. Knows you know. Knows he’s fucked.

A kiss to the tip before you rub your cheek on his thigh like a cat. Steve’s hips begin to rock, hungry for more when you slow. His palm plants itself on the side of your head, fingers twined through the updo you’d fashioned your locks into a few hours ago. “Don’t stop.”

There it is. That dark thing.

He’s never fucked like this.

Suddenly bold because he’s at the end of his rope and about to blow—completely collapse and pour down your throat and all over that pretty dress you chose to wear to the party. Little cherries, long-hemmed, low-cut. You’ve set an entire trap he willingly fell into.

Hooded blue eyes meet yours, looking down the bridge of his nose, lips parted to match. Panting. Grunting. Shedding his golden boy skin and turning savage. “You want this, sweetheart?”

You nod and bite your lip, exhilarated smile stretching out from the sides of your teeth. Steve fists your hair until you yelp at the sting. He slaps your hands away, hisses at the strands of viscous dribble sliding down your forearms and takes over.

You gasp when he presses his cock against your face, rubbing it right over rosy cheeks you’d perfectly applied blush to. Over the contours of your jaw, your eyebrows. A slap of it to your chin.

Nasty. Filthy. Delicious. Bad boy.

Stutters from his throat, ragged murmurs, clipped consonants of curse words and taunts—You want it? Yeah? You want this all over your face, pretty girl? Fuck. What if someone walks in? Someone’s gonna see—ah… Gonna see you takin’ my big load.

And it’s the shocked silence of your astonished eyes and falling-open mouth that does him in. Rendered speechless that he’s yanking your head back-- and the tiny wince—the split second that your face jerks—he’s done for.

There it is. That sound you’ve been hungry to hear. Steve Rogers snarling like an animal as he leans into a final pump, hips juddering forward into his fist, fixed on the way your face receives him. And goddamn, he thinks.

He’s never loved a girl like you.

Pretty as a painting, with thick strokes of creamy white in heavy diagonal lines. You catch some in your mouth, lick it off your lips, giggle blissfully at the tang.

Knees still planted on the floor, and as Steve regains his senses, he’s glad your dress is long tonight.

On the couch, you sit one leg crossed over the other, chin on your fist as you listen to Wanda tell a story. Bright and alert, laughing along to all the right jokes. Bucky hands you a drink before he makes his way back to Steve by the pool table.

“Gone a long time.” He mentions casually.

“What’s that?”

Bucky pauses behind the rim of his whiskey, “I said, you were gone a long time. Came back lookin’ a little rough around the edges.”

“Hm.” He probably does look a little rough, even after you combed your fingers through his hair and smoothed the wrinkles from his jeans. Kissed his mouth and he could still smell that pungent sweetness on your skin after you rinsed.

Bucky watches him shoot and sink two solids, catches your eyes across the room roaming. Steve’s so drawn to you that he perks up a little naturally.

New love. A little wild at the seams, tearing the good Captain America to wicked little pieces in your hands. Bucky laughs quietly because it’s about damn time.

Fresh-faced, more beautiful than before, Steve thinks. Hair down and fluffy-full, haphazardly settled in place. He can’t help but stare. A little red smudge on the corner of your eye when you scrubbed the mascara off, running along with him down your cheek. It’s still swollen like the plump edges of your lips from overwork. He swallows thickly, catches himself thinking too much on it.

From across the room, you find his ruddy cheeks and hold him in a knowing gaze. Then, your tongue slips out shamelessly—with Bucky in the audience and all—and you lick the corners of your mouth. Naughty.

The butterflies so faithful to his tummy flutter at the sight. Whirlwind flapping growing in a darkening storm. You, in the center of his hurricane on all fours.

Bad, bad boy.

Steve finds himself wondering about your red knees under the dress and how long they might take to bruise.

MINI HAUL: ETUDE HOUSE

I’ve recently bought a couple of things from Etude House so I thought of sharing it with you guys! Most of the stuff here are the limited edition items of Etude House that are obsolete elsewhere but are still being sold here in the Philippines. If you notice, I have a thing for limited edition collection of brands, as seen from my previous post.

Any Cushion Cream Filter in Vanilla

First of all, LOOK AT THE HOLO (I swear Cristine of Simply Nailogical is the culprit behind my holo love. I am obsessed with her videos)! It is absolutely beautiful. Admittedly, it was what led me into purchasing this product. This cream filter actually has bipolar reviews from people online, so I was a little hesitant on purchasing it. However, it’s all I’ve been loving and using recently!

The cushion itself is very different from the other cushions that I’m used to. It has a mesh cover that distributes the product more evenly to the puff. The design of the compact itself is also slimmer than standard cushion compacts.

I have to say the wear of this isn’t very long and the coverage is also light. The formula of the cushion is also a little tacky and sticky. For people with good skin, this product is great for evening out your skin tone. I actually use this product a lot for a very basic and natural everyday look. For those with acne scars, I wouldn’t recommend this to you because it doesn’t cover well.

Dreaming Swan Eye and Cheek in #04 Relevé Purple

This is a collaboration with Kerrie Hess and it’s already mostly unavailable in other countries. I’ve been eyeing this blush ever since it launched in 2015 and I’ve only decided to purchase it recently after I’ve majorly hit pan on one of my blushes. I’ve never had a purple blush before and I’ve heard a couple of beauty YouTubers talk about how brightening a purple blush can be so I decided to purchase this. The embossed detail was also a major selling point for me. I can’t wait to start using this product! 

Dreaming Swan Shine Volumer in #02 Bright Toeshoes

This is also from the Kerrie Hess collaboration. It’s a highligher that is also meant to be used on both the eyes and face, but upon swatching this, I wouldn’t recommend it for the face because it is super pigmented. Among the 3 colors available, this beige one is the most neutral for me, as #01 is too white and #03 is too gold. I find this to be absolutely beautiful as an eyeshadow base, and I’ve been using it a lot recently!

Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara (Black)

My last tube of mascara recently went bad (I used it beyond the 3 month mark) so I thought of trying out something new. I decided to get this because I’ve read reviews online saying that this is budge-proof and smudge-proof. It also curls the lashes very well. I have lash extensions currently so I can’t use this product yet but after after I take the extensions off, I can’t wait to try this product out.

Rosy Tint Lips in #8 After Blossom

This product is also another limited edition product that is still available in local Etude Houses. I like how it comes in a squeezable tube with a sponge applicator, as the packaging makes it easy to do a gradient lip. I chose this shade, which is the darkest in the collection, because I've started to experiment with darker lip colors last year (I made a video about it here) and I’ve been loving the occasional dark lippie. I also don’t own a lot of darker red colors so I thought this would be a nice addition to my collection.

And that’s it for my mini haul! There’s honestly a lot more things I was itching to buy but I had to remind myself that I’ve got a loooooooooot of things that I aim to use up by the end of the year so I’ve only allowed myself to make mini hauls every once in a while.
