It is not uncommon for defense attorneys in child molestation cases to try to put off the proceedings for as long as possible. The strategy is that a young witness's memories might fade over time and the child would, naturally, appear older, and more adultlike before the jury. One defense attorney told me, 'It's harder for a jury to be sympathetic to a victim whose voice has changed.'
Chandler's attorney, Larry Feldman, attempted to get the civil suit moving as quickly as possible. Michael Jackson's defense team did what Feldman expected. They filed papers seeking to delay all action in the civil case until the statute of limitations expired on the criminal case.

"Antoine's" Confession - s4 ep8 "Born to Be Brave"
Love this scene ngl. I wasn't even surprised that he wasn't actually French, or that he was into Big Red from the start. More so that they actually went this route, and brought Andrew back for it lmao.
Redtoine has been a goofy ship of mine since s2, and I'm happy it's real now! 🎉

watching the Andrew Barth Feldman slime tutorial here's some things I've noticed:
Evan immediately gave off the vibe of a very sweet, dorky guy.
He sounds very cheery with undertones of being sad, like he's trying to convince himself that it's going to be okay. It seems more like he actually is trying with the letters, and not that he's being forced to do them.
Heidi sounds more aggravated and standoff-ish?
"Neither do I :("
Connor is extra sassy.
Jared seems equally nerdy as Evan does. He's less mocking, but still retains his snarkiness.
When Jared comments on Connor's hair, his "it was a joke?" Is him backpedaling, not being annoyed with Connor.
The push was so gentle it was kind of funny
"no. me? no way. :) Jose."
"would anybody notice if I—" there was a long pause, like he was thinking through his next words. "—disappeared tomorrow?
"Cause there's Zoe!☺️..." reads for a moment. ".....is this about my sister????"
Cynthia and Larry are usually fighting, but in this one they are borderline signing divorce papers whenever they talk.
Evan starts hyperventilating in the principals office.
"That was an emergency landing.😐😐😐"
It's probably the low quality but he kind of looks like Daniel Thrasher in some parts
"THEYRE GONNA WANNA SEE OUR EMAILS!" "*dramatic gasp* you think?"
"YOU, OKAY, IT SAYS C O N N O R. ON YOUR—"
He sounds so excited for taco Tuesday :((
"I'm sending pictures of the most amazing trees—" *cue Jared cackling*
"MY sisters HOT" "whAUHT THE HELL😨😨😨😨"
Zoe's feelings toward Connor are different, I can't pinpoint how exactly.
he didn't actually kiss Zoe
He didnt get up off the ground until he looked at Connor's signature.
Overall, his Evan isn't as sarcastic and bitter as Ben Platt's, and he's more generally awkward but he doesn't struggle as much? Does that make sense? Probably not. But anyway, I love both of their versions for different reasons and will update on act 2 tomorrow.

When the Chandler situation first prompted Jackson to seek legal help, his team consisted of entertainment attorney Bert Fields and his private investigator Anthony Pellicano. It wasn't long before two other Los Angeles-based attorneys were hired. Howard Weitzman was brought on board first and he in turn recruited Johnnie Cochran. Both were highly regarded criminal defense lawyers.
It wasn't long before Evan Chandler's attorney realized that the case had grown far too complex and high profile for him to handle on his own. Barry Rothman then hired his own lawyer - Robert Shapiro.
Despite her bitter dispute with Evan, June eventually had a change of heart and the two agreed to hire an attorney to represent their combined interests. June and Evan retained the famed activist attorney Gloria Allred. Allred's strategy was to go public with the allegations to force the Los Angeles district attorney's office to file criminal charges against Michael Jackson. But attorney Robert Shapiro raised concerns with Evan about Allred's strategy. He argued that fighting this very sensitive fight in front of a camera might not be the way to go.
Shapiro suggested that Chandler use a civil attorney named Larry Feldman.
Feldman explained that if Gloria Allred went on camera and made a public statement, the Jackson people would have to do the same. The press, he said, would have a field day with tit-for-tat comments flying back and forth. The district attorney would just be annoyed, not spurred into action. And if the objective was to get some money, get the boy treatment, and get on with life, then having an attorney front and center at news conferences was not the right option, Feldman counseled. This made sense to Evan Chandler, and he quickly dismissed Allred and placed Feldman in charge of the case.
The Jackson Team had claimed that the boy's allegations had grown out of a contentious custody battle. But the custody battle had ensued only after Jordie revealed being molested to his father. However, what began as a simple filing of legal papers in a custody dispute would quickly evolve into a pitched legal battle involving the megastar, allegations of child abuse, and multi-million dollar settlement negotiations.
When Feldman filed a startlingly graphic four-page declaration signed by Jordan Chandler, he was only thirteen years old and in the eighth grade.

Last names in Diaries
The first thing I thought of was “wait, most people in Diaries don’t have last names!”
But then I realized— wait. The world of Diaries is vaguely European medieval. Maybe it’s pre-family names?
Family names were a relatively new invention. They came about due to the plague wiping out full villages, incentivizing people to move. When people stayed in one village their whole lives, they didn’t need family names. They were just Joe the baker, or Larry the smith.
HOWEVER, Diaries seems to be a world with a LOT of mobility. People move around villages and villages seem to be wiped out a lot due to the Shadow Knights. That creates the conditions that would bring a rise to surnames.
Luckily, there’s one character who actually helps us out!
Dr. Doctor
That’s not just any surname. That’s an occupational surname!
So, I’ll be using that as a springboard.
Urla and Donna are also likely Doctors as well. Since they’re all the same family, that works well.
Brendan and Kiki, in my version, have family that is likely farmers. Their family name is probably something like Cropper, Cotter, or Feldman. Or just Farmer, if we’re just going off Brendan’s OG title. If we’re going off the head canon that the family is from Tu’la (since Brendan’s og skin is Asian and Tu’la is vaguely Asian-coded), then it wouldn’t be an occupational surname. I’ll have to do research into it since I’d like that family to keep some of the POC roots they’ve lost. If anyone has any ideas to add, please comment!
Logan’s family name is likely something like Chapman, Kaufman or Mercer, as a merchant.
Corey’s last name is probably something like Pitman, Collier, Eisenhower, or simply, Miner.
Dale’s last name is something like Knight or Ritter. Based on his obsession with his children becoming guards, his family was probably guards before him.
There’s way more, but this post is already long as it is. If anyone else has any last name headcanons, please share them!

Yappy Broads #1 | February 22, 2010 (online) | Pilot
Yappy Broads isn’t too complicated to explain. It’s a The View style women’s program with five “women”, four of which are men in drag doing very little to actually act like women. We got Larry Dorf, Tommy Blacha, Earthquake, and Dino Stamatopoulos all wearing freaking dresses and dang-ass woman wigs. Their straight woman is Shandi Finnessey, an actual former beauty queen. One could sexistly say that she is there to look hot, but that would suggest that anyone else involved had some other higher purpose for being there.
First they talk to a woman peddling a workout for your face called “Facersize”. There’s chatter about various topics of the day, and then Corey Feldman stinks it up by hawking his CD and his bad Lost Boys sequel. Have you seen it? I haven’t, but I bet it’s bad. The closing credits feature a close-up of Shandi holding a shaky bunny rabbit, which is pretty nice.
The entire thing is ad-libbed, with a group of funny fellas all chiming in with attempts to be funny. There are moments that show promise, and they usually involve Dino being cantankerous. It seems highly edited down, yet the highlights are still sparse. The single defining moment of this show is Earthquake commenting on a nose exercise: “you know how much cocaine you could do with your nose like this? (no audience response) You be tore up! (no laughter).” To be fair to the show, I did laugh at that, but not in a nice way.
There’s something special about watching TV go off the rails. But this seems like it was designed to already be off the rails. I didn’t really enjoy this. I can’t tell if the problem is that they’ve edited it down too much or if they didn’t edit it down enough. I would love to see the unedited taping of these segments to judge for myself. Even if this were especially funny, it still seems a little wrong to air something like this on a weekly basis.
Anyway, Shandi Finnessey has only done one nude photoshoot and it was for Peta.
MAIL BAG
The Simpsons has killed off its beloved character Larry Dalrymple or "Larry The Barfly." Thoughts on this development? Memories to share? Comments? Questions? Dyns?
I actually watched some of a YouTube video about this and the commenter took issue with the story of the episode being about Larry being lonely and left-out Homer and his friend's fun adventures, because they observed that Larry seemed like he was friends with the hat guy, and that it was a horrible omission. Like the writers should just be presenting an episode that strives to not contradict the previous 800 episodes instead of doing a specific, interesting story. Seemed like a baby-brained way of complaining about the show. My baby-brained takes on cartoons are the only takes that truly matter.
Soul Quest Overdrive has the leader of the proud boys as a voice actor on the show. He was the one who spearheaded that whole January 6th insurrection thing back in 2021, the one that every news outlet was comparing to 9/11 when it was really more like the world's biggest temper-tantrum. He blamed the show being cancelled on the other VA's "Not being as funny" as him.
It's weird how I've hated that guy for as long as I've known about him, and him doing a 180 politics-wise did nothing to affect his standings. But January 6th is maybe the hardest I've ever laughed at anything, so I guess he does deserve some credit.
I don't really know WHY they changed them to sports equipment, this is pure conjecture, but maybe AS felt like having 2 food shows on at the same time was a bit too cheap/cash grabby, so they changed them to differentiate it a bit more. I know they've shot down shows related to hell and food when Development Meeting was still running since they hit that well so many times.
Yeah, that actually does sell the case for it being a creative decision. Maybe it's not sneaky at all, what they're doing.
As for "Eggball", if you look closely on the pinball machine you can see black shake as a decal on it, still on (HBO)max. They can erase a HNIC but they can never erase history.
I had read about black guy cup being on the machine, but I simply must admit that I did not notice it myself!!! Not sure what those letters mean there, but I'm going to assume that none of them are slurs and publish this immediately without looking it up.
