Since there's a SP oc resurgence going on, here's one that I made in collaboration with Schädelgräber Angenehm from the SP fanclub discord server. (Scroll past Image ID for Cleaver Salix lore)
[Image ID: A digital drawing of a middle-aged white person with large, blotchy scars on their face and hands. Their eyes are green and the spaces under them are dark. Their hair is short and dark brown. Their outfit consists of a white tailcoat with gold buttons and embroidery resembling flower petals, and gold epaulettes with daisy-shaped decorations. They also have white trousers, brown boots, a white turtleneck and a scythe in one hand. The text next to them reads "Cleaver Salix, They/them. / End ID]
Cleaver Salix was a Vitakinetic born in the 1400s (making them about the same age as Kenspeckle or Corrival). They survived the bubonic plague at a very young age, but watched most of their community die, unable to save them. Because of this, Cleaver always strived for what was best for their patients, what would make them the most comfortable. If Cleaver was unable to help their dying patients otherwise, they had less qualms about granting them a quick, painless death than many other medics. This made some think of Cleaver as callous.
During the start of the war Cleaver became unhappy with how little the Sanctuary seemed to care about recovery missions and the safety of their soldiers, and founded a rogue group of Sanctuary medics who would barge into battle disguised with masks and wielding scythes to recover injured soldiers and civilians and provide field healing. They, and Cleaver especially, would do anything to keep the wounded safe. They were a force to reckon with in battle.
Eventually they were found out, but due to the impact of Cleaver's group the Sanctuary decided to make them an official military unit instead, which meant that Cleaver's group could operate more freely and actually announce their coming, but lead to conflicts between Cleaver and the Elders about certain aspects of the operation.
Later on Cleaver would go on to die in battle, in a heroic but very violent manner (as is the fate of many Vitakinetics due to how sturdy they are). The command of Cleaver's group got transferred to the Elders, who renamed the group the Cleavers as a form of posthumous respect. Their policies for the group, however, were more violent than Cleaver's had been, which along with their other decisions displeased the old members of the group (mostly Vitakinetics, many of whom had been taught by Cleaver) to the point that they left.
This is when the Sanctuary started training new Cleavers, the kind we see in the books. Cleaver Salix became a symbol for propaganda, portrayed as a ruthless fighter for the Sanctuary rather than the soft-spoken, if strict healer that they were. Centuries later Cleaver Salix is remembered only by a few, their legacy buried under hundreds of years of misconceptions. Oh and they have an adoptive daughter, the child of a patient who they couldn't save whose last wish was for her child to be taken care of.
Fun fact! Cleaver's group was later referred to as the Proto-cleavers, and Larrikin was one of them in this version of events!

Finally, my husbando is there 🛐🛐🛐
My version of The Doctor. The commission is made by @vixxman (Larrikin on Telegram). I love making artists' put their watermarks, 'cause giving credit imo is not enough even if it is a commission. Come on, the guy put his soul into his art, it's the least I can do. Anyways.
The Doctor (Bezaliel)
Gender: man.
Race: fallen angel (Christian mythology based).
Age: over 2000 years old.
First drawing:
First row: the appearance without shadows.
Second row: the true appearance.
Mouth is not visible, but contains sharp teeth (not as sharp as The Dealer's, obviously). Bezaliel wears a golden headpiece only in hell and used to always wear it before The Fall.
The appearance in the game is an illusion and was given as a punishment for losing to The Dealer. The lore will be under the cut.
The last art (without headpiece) is heavily referenced by:
Horns: @/expensivebrowniez on Tumblr.
Ponytail: Jotdan Love model.
Teeth: @/kipine-art on Tumblr.
Appearance: According to legends, no one have seen what Bezaliel looked like before and after The Fall. The Dealer saw the fallen angel's true form when he caught Bezaliel, but in the form of a shadow. After becoming The Doctor, Bezaliel took on the appearance of the man he is in the game aka an illusion.
Key features: made of shadows, horns, sharp teeth, ponytail, golden headpiece that covers forehead and chin. On the sides of helmet there are folded wings. They were open before his fall from heaven. He wears the dusted and tattered robe of an angel he once was. His illusion form has boots, but The Doctor himself is barefoot.
Personality: Generally calm and resigned to his work. He was stressed only three times during his entire time on earth: during the first (and currently last) club check-up, when he dragged out a half-dead satisfied player (the guy was a masochistic participant) and after seeing Mellow resurrection without Bezaliel's help. The stories of both are silent on the details, and the Doctor chose not to ask any questions.
Background: Previously was called Bezaliel (biblical motives, but I don’t follow the Bible completely) and the Shadow of God. Was cast into hell alongside Lucifer. When God died, Bezaliel came out to earth and explored, gliding through the streets like a shadow. During his stop at a motel, he was unable to sleep due to the noise coming from the nightclub, where Buckshot Roulette takes place. When he saw, what was going on at the nightclub, he decided to drag away the corpses of players and bring them back to life. Before him players died immediately, so it was a shock for The Dealer to see the lost players in front of him again. Later, Bezaliel was securely caught, and The Dealer’s charming talking lured him into a bet, where if he won, The Dealer would have stopped playing Buckshot Roulette for two weeks. In case of defeat, the fallen angel would work for Dealer, which is what happened. After this, in the roulette was added the ability to return to the game in the second and first rounds.
Relationships with the others:
Towards Dealer: used to him, so more neutral than negative.
Towards most of the players: "Work is work".
Towards Mellow: neutral, when they come, The Doctor usually takes a day off and gives high five when he sees Mellow. In a condescending way.
Towards Ethan (My friend's OC): was impressed and disappointed at first, but then got used to him.
Towards Jake (another BSR OC of mine): neutral, they don't see each other often.
Towards Reaper (the last BSR OC of mine): undecided. Literally, The Doctor can only say he is fine with Reaper's existence and OK in his presence.
Likes: day offs.
Dislikes: when something doesn’t go according to plan (rarely shows that he is stressed), treating open fractures and broken skulls, cold.

VR H Class Pocono H220 Heavy Harry, the Antipodean Behemoth ("Red And Black Steam On Southern Metals" OC)
Once the bad boy prince of the Victorian Railways fleet, the heaviest engine in Australia; Heavy Harry of Newport Works was a marvel of Australian engineering, built to surmount inclines and run the breadth and width of Victoria. He was powerful, rambunctious and unique… sole extant member of his class, too heavy to take to any track other than the North Eastern line but did his job as a crack fast goods engine well, pulling 800 tonne consists with ease. He clocked over a million miles in his short career, making the earth shake and humans topple over in his wake.
In his day, he was almost as well known to the Victorian people as the Flying Scotsman was to the British, referenced in political cartoons and interviews in The Argus ... and then he simply vanished.
Gone.
Forgotten.
Alas, he almost scrapped along with thousands of others, stripped of his plates and headlamp and left for dead on the scrap roads of Newport Works with a deteriorating boiler. Even as he rotted and slowly lost his sanity on the scrap roads, he was a powerful presence.
He gained his reprieve in 1961, but he was shorn of his naivety; he never forgot the human caprice that laid him low. He is in constant physical pain from his deteriorated boiler which carries over into his human form.
“Heavy” Harry Jack Haining; Mightiest Loco in Australia, hooligan, Anarchist and every bit the picture of an Australian larrikin, an inveterate bogan who loves his beer, footy and smokes… who also happens to be gay and very complicated. And probably a daemon. Even he isn’t entirely sure.
(“Old Harry” is an old English nickname for the Devil, and ‘to play Old Harry’ means to bring ruin, chaos or destruction on something. Appropriate for a very, very angry engine with a habit of derailing and smashing into things during his working life.
Interestingly, a “Harry” in Norway is their equivalent of a bogan, or a yobbo, someone who is working class and vulgar. He finds this very funny. )
He lives over in Newport along with his best mate, the eternal cynic A2 Class No 986 "Pluto"; his brother in arms R707 Cerberus and his sister Andri, R 761; his adopted little sister Prudence, a K-class Consolidation; and the other locos of the Newport Railway Museum/SteamRail/707 Operations… but he is coming to prefer the Island of Sodor, though he cannot ever run as his engine self there or anywhere (boiler in need of replacement, lives with constant pain; also simply too big, the poor state of Victorian rails means he could so easily break them as he did back in the day) , so he goes there as human to visit his boyfriend SpookyHenry every so often.

Larrikin for the character bingo :)
Hiya spooklia, I hope you're doing well :)
I'm prefacing the ramble with the fact that I am not sober, and there may be more spelling errors and just general incoherency - we'll see!
So the thing about Larrikin is we know so little about him which means that a) we can project whatever we like on him and b) most of my emotional attachment is basically to my OC. That said:
We KNOW he had a sense of humour and was close to Anton, we also know that he cared enough to make him smile in a very tense environment (in a reckless way - which implies with absolute certainty that he was safe with Anton, or a disregard for his own safety which is also interesting).
We KNOW he died before the war, saving Dexter's life. There's ... a lot to extrapolate from that.
And that's all I remember from canon.
But even just that - imagine fighting centuries in a war only to die relatively just before it ends. Imagine loving the people around you the way he did (because both of these details are manifestations of love, are they not?) and not getting to see peacetime with them. It's angsty enough as it is, and my headcanons make it even angstier. Fuck I love writing Larrikin.

“Star Trek: Earth Spacedock”: A Parody Anthology
I’m currently working on a comic for my college class and I’ve never posted my Star Trek OCs here so I thought it’s time to post my Earth Spacedock crew! Here’s the cover and first page! :)
The characters on the cover are (left to right):
James Mackenzie Reed (36/M), The Armoury Officer and Chief Security Officer. Direct descendant of legendary Armoury Officer Malcolm Reed, hot-headed and cynical but a loyal soldier with a strict moral code and an affinity for weapons
Achara Paithoon (37/F), Operations Manager and Second Officer. Hailing from an island in Thailand, inexperienced in command and has mad anxiety but is cunning and resourceful enough to make it as an Head of Ops
T’Oriell Oliver Calcraft (36/M), Chief Medical Officer. The caitian raised in the bush of Australia, naive and a “larrikin” but also one of the most competent doctor in this side of the quadrant with a heart of gold
Orion Finch (35/NB), Chief Science Officer. Spacedock’s exobiology and cybernetics prodigy, has trouble focusing and keeping tracks on things but they’re still one of the most intelligent crewmember

I will be mentally ill about my OCs here))#((for now you get snippets of the Earth Spacedock crew))#((Mackenzie mirrors his ancestor in many ways; allergies. affinity to weapons. Section 31 connection-))#((Mackenzie is also an autistic gay man with Issues and he's best friends with T'Oriell and is dating T'Oriell's deputy :3))#((Achara is legally deaf and uses hearing aids. At night or when it's just her and the B-Team she'd take them off and use Thai Sign Language#((She speaks 4 languages; Thai. Indonesian. Korean. English. She has 15 layers of anxiety and is in need of serious help))#((T'Oriell's dad is half human half caitian and his mom full caitian so that makes him quarter human hence his surname being human))#((T'Oriell is trans. he goes by he/him. 9, 16 and 17 for the SP ask game :D
Hey! Thanks for the ask
9. What’s your favourite platonic relationship?
In canon it would have to be anton and saracen, their scenes in lsodm were just hilarious
In fanon I love dexter and larrikin, in my fav fics they have the best friendship ever
16. Headcanons about any character of your choice?
I don't think I've talked about dexter even though I love him, but I like the idea that he can handle spice so much better than the rest of the dead men, especially saracen who can hardly handle pepper. He has just travels so much for so long that nothing is too much for him.
17. Tell something about your OC, if you have one.
I only really have one, a self insert called persephone dulcet who is a shape shifter during the war. Shes neutral, is just absolutely done with everyones shit and is a ✨magic historian✨. Basically living my dream.

I’m sorry, I was tired and didn’t want to upload this frame-by-frame to scratch, and then have to flip every single one on 975 frames to vector. Ill do that tomorrow. For now here’s the Bounce Meme, an April Fools animation
Inspired by larrikin on Scratch
because there’s 19 OCs in this project I’ll just give a rough estimate that 12-13 of them belong to Hunterz_Wolf on toyhou.se
I dunno. I find it funny. Also, minor epilepsy warning.

Rover Larrikin from purplejabberwock‘s Dead Men Walking (https://archiveofourown.org/series/49976). Rover is an Elemental with a tragic backstory, but he‘s also a people person who keeps the team together. He is the one who brought everyone back together after the war, he and Dex also got married once because they needed an excuse to throw a party. There are frequent discussions about who is the husband and who is the wife 😄

I hope you put in a really interesting and detailed background dump about how cyberkinesis interacted with growing mortal technology (especially electronics and computers...) over the last few centuries. Did you decide how disciplines are devised? Like how a sorcerer rocks up and straight invents a new discipline
I have, and the answer is usually neotericism!
Sorcerers don't sit down one day and decide to make a whole new discipline. This kind of evolution usually happens in one of two ways:
1. A sorcerer with an established discipline learns a new ability. Let's take Billy-Ray Sanguine as our example. However many centuries ago, an Elemental sorcerer discovered that he could walk through walls. At the time, this would've been considered an Elemental ability, not a discipline in it's own right. But it's a difficult ability to learn, so young Elementals who really wanted to be able to do that started focusing on it more and more, neglecting the other aspects of Elemental magic. Centuries go by, and over time, the Surge starts locking those young mages into only this ability. BRS can't access any of the other Elemental powers, because all he ever learned, cultivated and developed was his mole magic. So eventually, while mole magic is still technically an Elemental ability - remember Skug learns to do it - it's also become a discipline in its own right, and the only people who really care about the distinction are like. Magic taxonomists and magohistorians.
2. Neoterics. A child is born who has magic, but doesn't know the magical world exists and never receives any formal training. If that child is sufficiently powerful, their magic will start to present at a young age and will develop, to some degree, on its own - Skug, for example, was a perfectly competent if highly unsafe little necromancer as a child, despite never having any actual tuition. And because the child doesn't know about the rules of magic, the Sanctuary-approved health-and-safety-focused teaching methods used on young sorcerers, or what their magic even is, it's got completely free rein to develop however it likes. Usually, it will adapt itself to twine in and around the child's talents, needs and instincts, and sometimes, this just happens to produce a completely new discipline.
Take my OC, because she's the only example I can think of with a really modern discipline. She's good with computers. She's grown up scavenging tech and repurposing it in a world where that's been essential to her survival. She spends a lot of time tinkering with electronics. So as her magic began to assert itself, it also spent a lot of time with electronics, and that affected how it learned to behave. Hacking into a computer? No, now you are the computer. It's helping!
Another, older example is Handbook!Larrikin. He grew up in a travelling show. A huge part of his childhood was spent perfecting his sleight of hand, his patter, and his ability to make his audience feel how he wants them to feel/convince the audience that they saw what he wants them to see. He's mortal-born, so nobody is teaching his magic how to behave - it's learning from watching him. What does he grow up to be? A Sensitive - specifically, an illusionist with a compelling voice. He's far from the first Sensitive, but his "method" wouldn't be the same as a Sensitive who was formally trained - it's looser, more free-thinking, more open to new ideas or new ways of doing things. Neoterics are more likely to think "But can I use my ability to do X?"
One final example: Vile.
Val is taught by Wreath - who's not, generally speaking, a rule-follower - that Necromancy needs a channelling object. That is so fundamental to the rules of Necromancy as a discipline that even Wreath sticks to it rigidly.
But Vile/Skug doesn't. We see him use Necromancy without the armour in TDOTL. He doesn't need his channelling object.
Now, I have a lot of thoughts about Vile VS The Necromancer Order 1852-1854, but the main relevant hc is this: the armour is a full body disguise in a pre-facade era, and it's one he'd honestly rather go without.
Channelling objects take a highly unstable magic and lock it down, dampen it, and make it safe to use for the weak and the stupid and the unremarkable. The temples teach that to master the discipline, you have to control death, because they're all bloody terrified of it, right down to the high priests.
But Vile is a neoteric. He grew up using raw Necromancy with no channelling object, so that's his baseline normal for what using his magic should feel like. He's not afraid of death. He's? Used to letting the current carry him, and these idiots are all pussyfooting around refusing to even get in the water. With the armour, it feels dulled and clunky and graceless. Vile in the armour is toned down hard, and he doesn't like it at all.
So he's? Regularly doing something that not only doesn't follow the traditional teaching methods for Necromancy, but actively flouts them. Raw Necromancy is so unstable that it's illegal in most first world countries, but because he grew up without that limitation being drilled into him from the word go, he's developed Necromancy in ways no one else ever has, and pushed it further than most have ever thought to go. He's pushed it so far that he's broken down barriers between Necromancy and other disciplines - in Lardo's canon, he's some kind of fuckin dimensional shunter for dead universes, and in mine, he's figured out how to accurately recreate his dead body to funnel off excess magic (which is a form of vitakinesis - life and death are two sides of the same coin). He hasn't personally created a new discipline, but future generations pushing the limits of the new abilities he's discovered might gradually separate from mainstream Necromancy until they're a branch, and then a closely related subdiscipline, and then a totally different discipline in their own right.
So yeah it's. Mostly down to baby neoterics' magic being really interested in that thing they're always doing because it's understimulated and wants to help them.
