Why is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?
Paring: Larissa Weems x Original Female Character
Chapter: 5/?
Rating: M for future smut
Summary: Alice is a Hyde Hunter. Larissa decides to hire her at the beginning of the year, since she knows something is happening in Jericho.
Tumblr media
Even though Larissa and Alice fell asleep almost immediately, their sleep wasn’t peaceful at all.
A nasty nightmare filled with Hydes and gargoyles woke Alice up and she realised Larissa was already wide awake as she was staring at her with her piercing blue eyes.
“What time is it?” asked Alice.
“Almost four o’clock” Larissa replied in a whisper. “I can’t sleep…”
Alice sat up and stretched her arms out, yawning. “Come to my room, I have something that’ll help us”.
She jumped out of bed and together they snuck out of the Principal’s bedroom. They both had rooms in Edenvale Hall, everyone else was asleep, so nobody saw them entering the younger woman’s room.
Alice’s bedroom was a piece of art. The bed was covered in plushies, the walls were decorated with plants and flowers, everything was light blue or baby pink in colour.
“I love your room,” she admitted. “It’s so… you”.
Alice handed her a rolled joint with a smile. “Thanks, I agree ”.
“What— where—?” Larissa stammered with indignation, eyeing the joint.
“If you’re upset about this little thing, please don’t look under my bed” Alice half joked.
Obviously, Larissa was on her knees moments later, snooping around under Alice’s bed and what she found made her skin crawl.
A glass bong, a few sheets of coloured paper, some plastic bags filled with pills, powders and mushrooms, more weed…
“Alice!” she boomed, getting up, arms crossed on her chest.
Alice shrugged. “Sometimes I need some help with my imagination… it’s all natural, I can guarantee you. Besides, I’m not selling, nor I am intending to sell anything to the students, it’s all mine — but I can share something with you” she smiled again and lit the joint.
She took a long puff and handed it to Larissa; after a long pause, the Principal accepted it.
“It’ll help you relax, you’ll sleep better” Alice assured her. Then she retrieved something else from under her bed. She ate a few mushrooms from a plastic bag and then she offered the bag to Larissa.
“What are these?”
“They’ll make you see stuff. And feel stuff. And be stuff. You’ll either be taller or smaller, I don’t remember which side I picked them from…” said Alice with an innocent smile — her big grey eyes shining bright in the moonlight.
“Shrooms. They’re shrooms ” Larissa sighed, but ate some anyway, then she lay on Alice bed, huffing in annoyance. “This bed’s too short!”
Alice laughed softly. “See? You’re growing taller already!”  She picked up her phone and launched Spotify, playing Rumours, Fleetwood Mac’s album, on repeat.
She joined Larissa on her tiny bed, the joint was shared, the shrooms definitely worked . They took a few hits from the bong too.
“I can see the music…” Alice sighed, happily, while Dreams was playing.
Larissa was staring at the ceiling. “I can see a flying cat…”
Alice frowned. “Sorry, that’s on me… Cheshire! Stop spying on us!”
A hairless cat was floating inside the room, chilling. Their grin was eery, their huge yellow eyes staring down at the two women.
“Hello, Alice. Long-time no see…” said the cat in a singsong voice.
Larissa hid her face into Alice’s neck. “I don’t like it!”
“It’s okay, Cheshire likes to creep people out. They’re harmless” Alice reached out to touch the cat, the flesh of her hand started liquefying off her fingers. She giggled.
The cat swam through the air and joined them on the bed.
When they started purring, both Alice and Larissa had fallen asleep again.

Alice’s eyes snapped open; she came to from a deep sleep as if she had been in a coma.
She sat up in her bed and started breathing slowly.
“Damn, that was a good trip!” she laughed, turning to where Larissa was supposed to be, but she realised the other side of the bed was empty and cold.
Alice looked out of the window, the sun was in the sky… it wasn’t rising, it was setting.
“Fuck!” she muttered under her breath.
Looking for her phone, she realised she was still wearing her nightclothes.
She got undressed and jumped in the shower.
Her head started pounding badly and she puked, after that she immediately felt better.
Once she dried off, she looked at the time. Almost five o’clock in the evening.
Her stomach rumbled angrily. She got dressed and grabbed a snack from her night table.
Alice marched into Larissa’s office, but she wasn’t there.
She lit the fireplace and sat at her own desk, munching at the energy bar.
Picking up her phone again, Alice tried giving her a call, but Larissa’s phone was disconnected, so she made herself a cup of tea and waited.
Gathering her thoughts, Alice tried to calm herself down. Larissa was smart and they had planned everything out the night before.
She was going to impersonate Rowan , pretend he was expelled from school. She was probably at the train station now… Alice was supposed to drive her there, but she was in a drug induced coma, half dead on her bed, completely lost in her Wonderland, so Larissa must have asked someone else to do it.
A knock on the door distracted her from her thoughts, she straightened her back and said: “Come in” in her most professional voice.
Coach Vlad entered the office, cautiously. “I was looking for Principal Weems?”
Alice smiled. “She’s running some errands in Jericho at the moment, would you like to leave her a note?”
“Oh, no. It’s just that— the Poe Cup is tomorrow,  and we have to discuss some final details”.
Fuck! The Poe Cup!
“Of course! I’ll text her right away, she’ll reach back to you as soon as she can” Alice flashed him her best smile, then she pointed at the chair in front of her. “Would you like to join me for a cup of tea?”
“I’m a vampire. I don’t …”
“Would you like to join me for a cup of blood?” she repeated in the same tone.
Coach Vlad blinked twice, in confusion.
Alice started to sweat. Too many social interactions.
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” she admitted. “I mean you can wait for the Principal here if you want, I don’t know how long it will take”.
“Uhm, thanks, I guess, Miss Donkin, I… I think I will just wait for her to call me!?” he said, awkwardly.
Alice nodded, waving her hand at him. “Bye-bye”.
He left, more confused than ever and Alice was once again left alone in the huge office.
She sighed, trying to call Larissa again but her phone was still disconnected.
The Principal returned to the academy half an hour later and she was furious.
She started pacing her office, eyes filled with anger as tried to keep her voice down.
“You— you—” she pointed a gloved finger at Alice, who lowered her gaze in shame. “I tried to wake you up this morning and you looked dead. Dead ! I had to check your pulse! I had to turn you on your back, so that you wouldn’t choke on your own vomit while I was away! I had to leave you alone ! We had a plan! You were supposed to drive me to the station! I had to ask Miss Thornhill !” her voice went gradually higher as she spoke, and Alice felt more and more guilty.
“I’m sorry…” Alice mumbled.
“You’re sorry? You’re sorry!?” Larissa’s voice cracked in a bitter laugh; hands on her hips, lips reduced to a thin line. “You’re unbelievable, you’re impossible… I need to trust you! I need someone to rely on!”
“I know…” Alice’s voice was anything but a whisper.
“Take the rest of the day off” she blurted out, marching towards her liquor cabinet.
“But— the Poe Cup is tomorrow and Coach Vl —” Alice started but Larissa cut her off with a deadly glare.
“Take the rest of the day off” she repeated, slowly. “Clean yourself up, get ready for tomorrow…”
Alice nodded and left the office, she felt so ashamed. Her heart started beating furiously in her chest as she reached her room.
“Everything okay?” a purring voice came from nowhere, then the head of a hairless cat appeared next to the window, grinning as usual.
“Yep,” she replied, swiping the small tears away from the corner of her eyes. “Go away, Cheshire, I want to be alone”.
“You can’t, Alice…” said the cat. “You know that. You’ll never be truly alone. You’re stuck with us, forever”.
“At least be quiet! You’re driving me insane!” Alice started sobbing, opening the window to let some air in and the head disappeared, only to appear again, next to her bed, this time it was the full body of the cat.
“Oh, my dear, sweet, Alice… don’t you know? We’re all mad here”.

Dec 9 th , 2026
Alice was in the school infirmary, watching over a sick girl.
“I know she did it!” she was saying, coughing while the nurse was tending to her. “Bianca…”
Yoko had an allergic reaction to garlic bread at dinner the previous night; she had spent the whole night in the infirmary but she was in no condition to participate in the Poe Cup.
“We’re down a Cat!” she coughed again.
“Actually, Wednesday Addams took your place” Alice checked her files, then her phone. It was almost time. “You don’t have to worry about that, just focus on staying alive, please”.
A warning shot was fired and Alice jumped in fear. The Poe Cup had just started.
Yoko tried to get up from the bed, but the nurse stopped her.
“I want to go and see!”
“You’re too weak” the nurse said.
“I’m sure you’ll feel better soon, Yoko. Rest, now. I have to go and see if they need me elsewhere” Alice forced a smile and left the infirmary.
When she reached the lake, she realised the whole school was there… it was so crowded, so loud. God, she hated it. Fred hopped around her feet, and she picked him up.
“It’s okay, Freddy… it’s just a stupid race…” she whispered eyeing Larissa standing by the shore of the lake, surrounded by students and teachers.
With a heaviness in her heart, Alice joined the Principal. “The girl is doing better, she was worried about the race…” Alice informed her.
Larissa acknowledged her presence with a small nod. She was too focused on the race, apparently. “Good,” she said, eyes glued on the four canoe that were sailing the lake.
“Who’s winning?” Alice tried to ask but received no answer. “I’m sorry about yesterday, Ris … I promise it won’t happen again” she said in a small voice.
Larissa sighed again and she lowered her gaze to the tiny woman beside her. “Fine, apology accepted” she finally said. “Now please, don’t distract me…”
Alice hugged Fred tighter as one of the canoes crushed against a red floating buoy. She gasped.
Larissa squealed. “And ‘the Pit and the Pendulum’ team is down!” she announced” as Bianca and her teammates cheered. Clearly she had sabotaged their canoe…
“Is that allowed?” Alice whispered to Larissa; they were side by side, their backs to the huge crowd.
“Everything is allowed,” Larissa whispered back, leaning into Alice’s personal space, smiling. “Bianca B arclay ’s team has a formidable winning streak…”
“But they’re sirens, I mean… isn’t it a little unfair?”
“Life is unfair” Larissa replied without missing a beat.
“I bet my walrus could easily sink all the canoe… even Bianca’s”
“ Alice, don’t…” Larissa warned her through gritted teeth, forcing a smile, eyes glued on the race, still clapping.
“I won’t! I’m just saying…” Alice shrugged.
When the three remaining teams reached the other side of the shore and entered the woods, Alice frowned, confused.
“What do we do, now?”
“We wait for them to return…”
“But that’s boring!”
Larissa shot her a glare that clearly meant: ‘lower your voice’ and Alice sighed.
Five minutes passed and Alice started playing with the rabbit in her arms, this Poe Cup was a real bummer…
“Can I at least have the binoculars?” asked Alice, sighing.
“No,” Larissa replied sternly, then she started looking through the lenses again. “ The final two teams are the Golden Bugs…” Alice wasn’t even paying attention at this point. “And the Black Cats” she sounded surprised.
Everyone around them cheered, Alice kept playing with Fred, and when she finally looked  up, she could see the two last canoe sailing towards the shore.
“This is really boring…” she repeated.
“Silence…” Larissa warned her again, through another fake smile. “Go bring the Cup to the courtyard”.
Alice sighed, she let Fred go and went to grab the huge cup. It was so heavy; she could barely lift it.
Someone must have won because around her everyone was cheering, clapping and jumping… and she was dragging this stupid Cup to the main courtyard, while Larissa was beaming for some reason.
There, Alice found out that the Black Cats had won. She was standing next to Larissa who was explaining the story of the Poe Cup. Alice wasn’t listening… she was too nervous. The crowd was looking at her, well, no… everybody’s eyes were fixed on the winning team and the Principal, but she was next to them.
Then Larissa lifted the Cup as if it weighted nothing and handed it to Enid who started to lift it into the air… Alice almost gaped. That thing was heavy!
Once the ceremony was finally over, Alice tried to escape back to her room, but Larissa stopped her. “Do you want to have lunch together?”
“We always eat together…” she replied, confused.
Larissa rolled her eyes and smiled, then she locked arms with Alice and started walking her around the courtyard. “You know, the last time Ophelia Hall won the Poe Cup, I was in the team…”
“Did you shift into a sea creature to sabotage the rest of the canoe?” Alice’s eyes widened at the thought.
Larissa didn’t stop walking, a little smile played on her lips. “We had our strategy. I was the co-pilot… would you excuse me a moment?” the Principal stopped when she spotted Wednesday Addams. “Wait for me in my office, we’ll have lunch and then I’ll tell you all about my old days as a co-pilot for the Poe Cup and why it is so important for me! ”
Alice nodded with a smile as she saw the Principal walking  towards the young pig-tailed girl.
She went to grab something to eat for her and Larissa and then she entered the office. They usually ate on her spacious desk; she set it as if it was a table: plates, cutlery, glasses, a bottle of wine for Larissa and water for herself.
Alice lit the fireplace and then she waited; she knew Larissa wouldn’t take too long.
Okay, maybe it was a boring competition in Alice’s eyes, but it clearly meant something more to Larissa and she wanted to know why, she wanted to learn more about her.
That beautiful woman intrigued her and she was curious to learn all of her secrets and even share some of her own stories with her.

Ah, the opportunities (and the tension) Pt.1
larissa weems x oc!reader, fluff with tension
light descriptions of body
no major warnings
1.7k words
"Ah, Professor," she says softly, beckoning you to come closer, gesturing to one of the chairs. "What can I do for you today?"
« Good afternoon, Principal weems…. i was hoping we could have that meeting you booked for tomorrow today/right now, if possible? » you say, standing near the door to her office.
She glances down at her calendar, raising a brow as a small smile stretches across her face, nodding in response as she sets down the pen in her hand. “Ah, of course, Professor. Please, have a seat, we can start the meeting right away."
She gestures to one of the chairs on the other side of her desk, her eyes watching you as she waits for you to take a seat, crossing her arms.
« wonderful, thank you. » you smile lightly at her, sitting down carefully and smoothing out your skirt.
She gives you a small nod as she leans back in her chair, her piercing eyes watching you intently as you sit down, studying you for a moment before her red lips curve into a smile once more.
"I trust you've been settling in nicely at Nevermore, Professor? If I may ask, how have your classes been going so far?"
« quite well, i think. the students have been quite engaged so far— and no offence to whoever was maintaining the greenhouse prior to mg arrival, but i’ve managed to revive all of the plants and have properly organized them by species, variant, requirements and aesthetics» You tell her, playing with one of my many necklaces.
A small chuckle leaves her lips as she leans forewords in her seat, resting her chin on her folded hands as she listens intently with genuine interest. She nods in agreement, tapping her long nails against the table.
"Ah, excellent. The greenhouse has sorely needed a good overhaul - I'm glad to hear you're taking care of it. Your talents in botany are highly valued here at Nevermore."
You smile warmly at her praise “why thank you, Ms. weems”
She smiles back at you, her eyes slightly flickering away from you for a moment as she reaches out and grabs a file out of a drawer, sliding it across the table towards you.
"You're welcome, Professor. As for the purpose of this meeting," she takes a deep breath, folding her hands in front of her. "I was hoping we could go over a few things; how you're adjusting to life here, any issues or concerns you may have, and discussing the upcoming Rave'N event."
“of course, yes” you pick up the file, a flicker of a frown passing over your face for a split second though not going unnoticed by the principal before you begin reading the file, which seems to mostly contain information on curriculum, past experience with the botany professors, a few progress report questions, as well as a bit of information on the raven.
She watches you intently as you scan through the information in your file, taking a moment to take note of the flicker of disdain that crossed your features. Yet, she continues on with a small nod as she waits for you to finish reading.
"Of course. As a new faculty member, there are certain expectations and responsibilities that come with the territory." Her voice is smooth and calm, yet laced with discipline. "I would like to hear your thoughts on the curriculum, and if there are any improvements you would like to make to better suit our students' needs."
« mmn, well, as i can see here, most if the past professors has a less.. hands-on approach than i would usually enact in a class setting, especially with the students attending this school…. »
She nods in understanding, her eyes flickering across the page once more.
"Ah, I see. Yes, the previous professors had a more traditional approach to teaching, but I believe a more hands-on approach might be more appealing to our students."
She looks up at you, tilting her head slightly. "What kind of approach would you envision for the coming semester, Professor?"
a light sigh escapes your lips as you think, biting your lip as you look up to the roof for a moment, « well, » you say, « i’d probably adjust the curriculum so in the warmer months i could take the students to participate in a much more involved way, with the colder months being dedicated to the more clinical and dangerous aspect of the work… and although the education on these dangerous plants are quite important, i feel there needs to be an equal amount of focus on the positive, helpful plants for different species and just in general »
The principal's demeanor shifts ever so slightly as your eyes flick to the ceiling, watching as you bite your lip. As you continue to speak, she nods in agreement with your assessment, her eyes watching you intently.
"I see," she says, her voice filled with a faint sense of warmth. “That is an excellent approach, Professor. It's important to give attention to both sides of the spectrum - not just the dangerous plants, but the helpful ones as well. And being able to get out in the warmer months will certainly enrich the students' learning experience."
You nod « yes, i hope so » You respond, adjusting your position on the seat, secretly sitting with crossed legs underneath the large skirt you’re sporting.
Her eyes flicker down for a brief moment, before returning back up to your face. She gives you a small nod of approval, leaning back in her chair once more.
"Excellent. We will definitely take your suggestions into consideration for the upcoming semester." She pauses for a moment, letting out a small chuckle. “I must say, Professor, I'm quite impressed with your dedication to your craft. It's refreshing to see someone so passionate about their work."
« why thank you, ma’am. it’s quite a huge part of my life even outside of teaching, so i feel it’s important to encorperate my joy and wisdom on the subject into every aspect of my work »
She smiles earnestly, nodding in agreement once more. “Of course, Professor. It's always wonderful to see someone so dedicated to their passion. I think our students will appreciate your enthusiasm and expertise."
As she speaks, her eyes flicker over you once more, her slender fingers tapping the table. “You certainly have a lot to offer Nevermore with your botanical knowledge."
smiling back at her, you throw a part of your
hair over your shoulder, « thank you, i certainly hope so»
The principal's eyes widen slightly as she sees your blouse, her eyes trailing over the revealing cut of the top as she lets out a small chuckle. She takes a deep breath, her tongue darting out to moisten her lips.
"And it seems you have impeccable fashion sense as well," she retorts with a smirk, tilting her head to the side as her eyes rake over the top once more.
« hmmn? oh, why thank you ..i quite enjoy the style of the 70s/90s, this happens to be one of my favourite casual tops » you tell her, shrugging.
*The principal's eyes don't leave your body as you speak, her gaze fixated on your chest as her breath hitches for a moment. She clears her throat, sitting up in her chair and crossing one leg over another.*
"I must say, you wear it so well, Professor, especially in comparison to your usual clothing choices."
snorting lightly, your lips curving up in a half smile « thank you, principal, I do love my fashion, but i prefer to remain modest while teaching.. »
The principal nods in agreement,
"Modesty is a virtue, Professor," she remarks, her eyes twinkling with a subtle playfulness. “But I must admit, it's quite lovely to see this side of you - more casual ..and revealing."
smirking at that you chuckle, saying « oh, if you’re thinking *this* is casual, you should see me outside of school sometime, you’d be surprised at my state.. » as you run your tongue over your lips/teeth.
“Oh, is that so, Professor? I must admit, I'm quite intrigued," she purrs, her voice lowered to a seductive whisper. "Perhaps you could give me a private demonstration of this 'state' of yours."
A nearly unnoticeable flush is added to your cheeks at that, but you continue on.. “hmmmn, i certainly wouldn’t be opposed to that.. maybe you’d like to join me tomorrow- i’d had plans to go out into the forest for lunch anyways, and i certainly wouldn’t mind your company” you utter with a light smile, eyes a bit darker than before.
A mischievous smile spreads across the principal's lips, her eyes sparking excitedly at your offer. She leans back in her chair, tapping her fingers against the table once more as she nods eagerly.
"Why, I'd be honored, Professor. A picnic in the forest sounds like a delightful idea. And the chance to experience you outside of work is certainly an intriguing prospect," she says with a chuckle. "Tomorrow it is, then. I look forward to our little adventure."
“Wonderful, Principal weems, I will see you tomorrow near the edge of the woods at noon then… until then” You smile, voice more gravelly as you stand up and sway your hips a bit for emphasis whilst leaving her office, a smile playing on your lips.
As you leave the office, Principal Weems watches you, her eyes trailing slowly over your body. The principal's heart quickens at the sight of your swaying hips, a faint pink blush spreading across her cheeks as she imagines the picnic tomorrow.
“Until tomorrow, Professor," she whispers softly as you exit the room, her mind already filled with delightful thoughts of your upcoming rendezvous in the forest…

Calista arrived at Nevermore after curfew. The students were already in their dorms and the teachers in their rooms, so the path to Larissa's office was clear. Relieved, she stopped before the office door and caught her breath. She was apprehensive about meeting someone in the hallways and explaining to them what she was doing at school on a Friday night after everyone had gathered. It would be even worse if that person were Artemis or Gaia. Although they were already aware of her relationship with Larissa, Calista didn't need them to know her intentions at that moment.
She took a minute to look at herself and make sure only her legs and high heels were showing when Larissa laid eyes on her. Making sure everything was tidy, she knocked lightly on the door, waiting expectantly for a response. A few seconds later, which seemed like long minutes, she heard Larissa's voice shout from inside the room, "Come in, please." Calista was feeling butterflies in her stomach. It was her first time doing this, and she wasn't sure if approaching Larissa at her workplace was an intelligent strategy, but it was too late. She opened the door slowly and poked her head inside.
Larissa was sitting at her desk with her eyes fixed on the laptop screen and her brows furrowed. She was so engrossed in her work that she missed Calista's head peeking through the doorway to take a look. When she moved her eyes over the screen to greet the person who knocked on her door, she found Calista standing in front of her desk, in a long coat and a bag over her shoulder. If Larissa had looked a few seconds earlier, she would have noticed the high heels, and Calista's presence there would have been evident. But her fixation with work benefited Calista's plans.
"Darling, what are you doing here at this hour? Did something happen?" Larissa's eyes moved from Calista's face to the bag on her shoulder, raising her eyebrows in a mix of doubt and curiosity.
Letting the bag slide off her shoulders until it fell to the floor, Calista slowly walked around Larissa's table, untying the knot on her coat. "I thought it would be relaxing and fun to pay you a visit after a long day at work." The coat fell open, and Calista let it down her body, revealing the lingerie underneath.
Larissa gasped, and her jaw dropped open when she saw Calista in front of her in just her underwear. Calista was wearing a red corset with lace details and a garter belt. Larissa's eyes slowly went down Calista's body to her feet, and only then did Larissa notice the high heels. She had already seen Calista in high heels, but their combination with the lingerie highlighted her body.
Calista walked towards Larissa and stood between her and her desk, sitting on the edge and resting her hands on either side. "So? Do you think you can stop working now?" It was a rhetorical question. Larissa seemed to have forgotten entirely about her work, yet she nodded slowly without taking her eyes off Calista's body.
"Let's go to the room-" Larissa started to get up, but Calista put her hand on her shoulder and guided her back to the armchair.
"No. We can start right here," she said, leaning forward and resting her hands on the arms of the chair and kissing around Larissa's mouth. "And there's a surprise for you in the bag. Can you go get it for me?" Calista whispered in Larissa's ear.
Larissa quickly got up, walked around the table, and picked up her bag from the floor. Returning to her seat, she unzipped the purse on her lap. Inside was the double-ended strap-on. Larissa opened her eyes wide and looked at Calista.
"I remember a certain text about a fantasy of me wearing the strap-on," Calista smirked at Larissa. "And I would like to fulfill that fantasy today. If you want to, of course." She stopped, waiting for Larissa.
Larissa got up from the armchair, held Calista's face, and kissed her intensely. Usually, the kiss between the two started slow. It gradually intensified as the making out progressed, but Larissa could not utter all the words since Calista's coat opened and transformed into a hungry kiss.
"I believe you noticed the lack of lube inside the bag," Calista said between kisses. "I'm going to need your help putting on the strap-on." Larissa moaned at this.
Larissa's hands traveled over Calista's body, touching her breasts over the corset and rubbing her thumb over her nipples. The kisses went down Calista's neck, where Larissa was nibbling.
"Can you keep this?" Larissa whispered in Calista's ear. "The lingerie, I mean. Can you keep wearing it?"
"Do you want me to keep wearing the lingerie while I fuck you?" Larissa whimpered when she heard those words and nodded, earning a giggle from Calista. “I’ll keep it for you, my love.”
Larissa's kisses continued down Calista's body until they reached her thighs. Calista was still leaning on the edge of Larissa's table. Kneeling, Larissa held Calista's legs and gave a slight tug, asking her to open them further. Larissa was kissing Calista's inner thighs while caressing her legs when her hands bumped into the straps of her high heels.
"You should keep them, too," Larissa said as she kissed Calista's thighs.
"Don't worry, honey. I'll keep the whole outfit for you." Calista lowered her gaze and met Larissa's.
"You look beautiful in it." Larissa maintained eye contact. "And delicious." Her mouth closed over Calista's pussy.
Calista arched her back, throwing her head back and closing her eyes. Larissa's kisses and caresses were already making her feel a tickle between her legs and a slight throbbing. Calista dripped, soaking her panties. Larissa felt it as soon as her mouth touched the fabric. She sniffed Calista's arousal and grunted softly.
With her fingertips, Larissa threw Calista's panties to the side and lightly kissed her clit. With her other hand, Larissa slid her fingers between Calista's slit, collecting the moisture at the tips.
"Oh, baby, you're so wet." Larissa put her fingers to her mouth and hummed. "As always, you taste so delicious."
Calista smiled and opened her eyes when she heard Larissa. Through the mirror on the ceiling, Calista could see Larissa kneeling between her legs, and this sight made her more horny.
"You look so beautiful, giving head." She said, looking through the mirror. Adjusting her body, Larissa looked up, and her gaze met Calista's, smiling mischievously.
“Keep watching, darling, while I eat you out,” Larissa commanded.
Calista couldn't take her eyes off the mirror even if she wanted to. She felt Larissa's tongue playing with her clit while she looked into her eyes. Larissa's tongue danced on Calista's labia, sliding down to her entrance, where she gave small thrusts with the tip. In no time, Larissa took her eyes off the mirror, looking Calista in the eyes and noticing every reaction of her body.
The pace set by Larissa was slow. She teased Calista with her tongue, and her fingertips played with her soaked entrance. Calista's tension in her lower abdomen increased, and she began to grind her hips, riding Larissa's face, looking for an extra touch.
Larissa kept her eyes in the mirror, and by the movement of Calista's body, she knew that the first orgasm was close. Her tongue circled Calista's clit, and she inserted two fingers inside her hole, feeling the walls tightening around them. Larissa bent her fingers, touching Calista's sweet spot.
Calista tried to keep her eyes open, but when Larissa curled her fingers inside her, she felt her muscles tense and her belly coiled. She came, placing her hands behind Larissa's head and grabbing her by the hair; she rode harder on Larissa's tongue until her muscles relaxed. Larissa watched the entire scene in the mirror, moaning and licking Calista's cum.
Larissa remained on her knees, kissing Calista's thighs while waiting for her to return from her peak. Calista kept her hand on Larissa's head, but now she lightly stroked her scalp. Calista finally relaxed, and her head fell forward; opening her eyes, she found Larissa watching her with adoring eyes. They smiled at each other, and Larissa leaned back to grab the strap-on.
Larissa passed the straps between Calista's legs and up to her hips. Since Calista was going to keep her lingerie on, she brought her panties to one side so that Larissa could insert the dildo into her slit. As predicted, Calista didn't need any further lubrication; the dildo easily penetrated her core, and she felt her walls squeeze it slightly.
Larissa sat on the edge of her armchair and admired Calista with the strap-on. Her breath was shallow with anticipation. "You look beautiful." She managed to say. Calista blushed and smiled. Larissa approached Calista with the chair and touched the silicone dick. She remembered the night of the school reunion when Larissa shifted for the first time. "Can I?" She asked, looking at Calista, her cheeks blushing slightly.
"Please," Calista replied softly. Larissa advanced towards the cock, swallowing its entire length. Calista hissed as Larissa's lips closed on the dong. She didn't feel Larissa's mouth, but the view she had was privileged and made her more horny. Larissa knew what to do. Her head movements guided the dildo inside Calista, causing it to poke her inner walls.
Larissa sucked the strap-on vigorously so that Calista felt the second orgasm being built. She had her hands on either side of Calista's hips, grabbing and digging her nails into her skin protected by the fabric of the corset. Calista held on to the edge of Larissa's table with one hand, and the other lightly pushed Larissa's head in thrusts. A short time later, Calista came throwing her body backward. She feels her clitoris throb with the second stimulus in a row.
Larissa got up from the chair, grabbed Calista by the back of her head, and pulled her towards her mouth. Calista was still coming back from her orgasm when she was surprised by Larissa's kiss. She moaned softly and wrapped her arms around Larissa's neck.
"Where do you want me, darling?" Larissa asked softly, biting Calista's earlobe.
Calista grunted at that. "Bend over your desk, ass up and legs spread," Calista said hoarsely, eliciting a smile from Larissa.
With one last kiss, Larissa did as Calista said. She bent over the table, propping herself up on her elbows, her hips thrust up, and she spread her legs. Calista rubbed Larissa's ass over her skirt, feeling and squeezing it. Her hands ran down the sides of Larissa's legs, grabbing a handful of fabric and pulling it up.
Larissa's pale, smooth skin was on display, and only her panties were in the way. Digging her fingers into the waistband, Calista knelt, pulling down Larissa's panties. Larissa's pussy glistened with her arousal.
With her hands on each cheek, Calista spread Larissa's ass and mouthed her pussy. Larissa let her head fall into her arms when she felt Calista's hot tongue between her legs, moaning loudly. Being eaten out from behind gave Larissa a submissive feeling. Even though she liked being on top, she had to admit that Calista's attitude turned her on.
Calista slid her tongue from the clit to Larissa's entrance. She paused for a moment with her tongue on Larissa's hole, circling the edge with the tip and thrusting inside her. Larissa writhed and moaned, placing her forehead on the tabletop and stretching her arms, holding the opposite end of the table.
After fucking Larissa long enough with her tongue, Calista turned to the clit. She widened her tongue to cover the entire bud, rubbing it slowly as her head bobbed up and down. Larissa knew she would cum quickly; Calista's position and dominance made it more tangible. Playing with the tongue speeded up the process, and when Calista started sucking her clit it was the final straw. Larissa's body stiffened, and she came screaming Calista's name.
Larissa threw her body onto the table, catching her breath and relaxing. Calista had gotten up and was rubbing her back under her shirt with one hand and with the other, rubbing the tip of her dick against Larissa's slit.
"Are you okay, my love? Shall I continue?" Calista smiled when she saw Larissa turn her head and nod with a still somewhat cloudy look.
Calista positioned her dick at Larissa's entrance and slowly slipped it inside. Larissa was beyond wet, so it easily slid in, finding brief resistance in the walls still clenching in emptiness. Larissa leaned back on her elbows, pushing her ass up more and allowing Calista greater access.
Calista waited until Larissa adjusted, keeping her body still as she stroked her lower back. Promptly, Larissa began to thrust her hips toward Calista's crotch as a silent request for her to start moving.
"Eager?" Calissa smiled, moving her hips slowly back and forth.
"You can not imagine how much." Larissa threw her head back and closed her eyes.
Calista held Larissa by the hips while pounding her hard. With each thrust, the dildo inside Calista poked her wall with the same force she applied to Larissa's hole. It was difficult to hold back the orgasm when she was fucking Larissa from behind with her bent over her desk with her ass stuck out. Larissa knew that Calista couldn't hold it for long, so she started wiggling while Calista stuck the dick into her to make the other’s life a little more complicated.
"Oh, Riss. You're not making it easy for me." Calista's breathing was shorter, and she felt her walls twitching around the dildo.
"That was never my intention, my dear. I want it harder, Lis. Harder and deeper." Larissa said, looking into Calista's eyes.
Calista felt a burning sensation in her chest when she heard Larissa, and her breathing hitched. She reached one of her hands towards Larissa's bun, intertwining her fingers and pulling her hair so that Larissa was now looking up. Larissa moaned and squirmed. Calista dug her other hand into Larissa's hip, keeping her still between Calista's legs and the table's edge.
Calista pounded her dick hard inside Larissa's pussy. She could feel that Larissa was close to cumming. She was too. Releasing Larissa's hair, Calista held her by the shoulders and increased the speed and strength of her thrusts. Larissa's legs hit the table, creaking slightly but not moving.
"Oh, Lis, keep going. I'm going to cum." Larissa moaned, and her body began to stiffen. Calista was tired, but she wouldn't stop until Larissa finished.
Larissa came, throwing her hips back and pressing the dick inside her. That movement was enough for Calista to cum, too, as she felt the dildo inside her move in precisely the right spot. Calista fell onto Larissa's back, catching her breath. Larissa was lying with her cheeks on the tabletop, feeling Calista breathing on her back. Calista moved slowly, gently pulling out of Larissa. Larissa groaned at the emptiness and remained lying for a few more seconds.
Calista unbuckled the strap-on and let it fall to the floor. She straightened her panties, hissing when the fabric touched her super-sensitive clit. She hugged Larissa from behind and helped her get up from the table. Larissa sat in her armchair, pulling Calista onto her lap. The two remained silent, catching their breath and caressing each other.
"I love you, Riss," Calista whispered, hiding her face in the crook of Larissa's neck.
"I love you too, my darling." Larissa wrapped her arms around Calista and squeezed her lightly in a hug.
"I think we need a shower." Calista laughed as she traced her fingertips across Larissa's collarbones.
"Shower? No, my dear. I'm not done with you for the night yet. Now it's my turn to use the strap-on." Larissa chuckled.
She picked up the strap from the floor and got up from the chair with Calista in her arms, bridal style.
"Let's move this to the bed." Larissa kissed Calista, carrying her to the bedroom.

Nobody Like You
Larissa Weems x Reader
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 (Settled Down)
SUMMARY
Just as much as you bounce from woman to woman; you also bounce from city to city. All of that will change once you meet the love of your life; Larissa Weems.
You are not one for monogamy. Even if you were in a serious relationship with someone; that relationship would be an open one.
They could not hate you for turning your head, or stopping at your tracks at the sight of a gorgeous woman. They could see the hunger in your eyes, and no matter how much they feed you; it still wouldn't be enough to sate you.
Women and men throw themselves at you. Though you prefer the former, and you're disgusted when the latter makes a move on you.
Women would feel honoured if you gave them the right to be called to be your girlfriend even if you're not exclusive. Sometimes, you feel that they only want you cause they think they can tie you down. You don't have a problem with that, but you don't feel that they should tie you down.
But you are easily bored. You treat your former girlfriends right, and they know you're not the type to be tied down. Still, you couldn't keep the same girlfriend for two months at least, and three months at most. At first they would say they're okay with you sleeping with someone else but after more than a month they would ask you to stop sleeping with somebody else, you would give it a try, but you also could not take it any longer cause you feel suffocated, and in the end you'll decide to just break up with them.
It's obvious to everyone that you can't be tamed. Maybe the women see you as a challenge to be conquered, maybe they could be the one who can tame you.
Just as much as you bounce from woman to woman; you also bounce from city to city.
All of that will change once you meet the love of your life; Larissa Weems.
---
Larissa is married to her work. But if someone came along and make her swoon, she wouldn't be opposed to the idea of marrying them. As much as she loves her school and her students; it is one of the main source of her stress.
She could handle it all by her lone some for sure... but it would be nice if someone would be there to take care of her and give her some relief. She's in a pattern she's grown used of, but it's fine with her because these patterns give her some sense of comfort.
She got everything she ever wanted and more, but one thing is for certain... she's lonely.
---
You went to Jericho to "get away from it all." And for that much needed change of scenery. You have heard that there aren't many people there and that it's a quiet town. When you got there it is indeed quiet and not over populated; it's just what you needed-- for now.
Though the people kind of creep you out, and you also get the vibe that you aren't welcome there, so you contemplated on whether you'll stay or go to another place.
You were there for almost a week now and you went to your usual spot at the weathervane. You ordered your usual hot chocolate and sat at your usual booth, but the barista ask you if you could sit somewhere else saying that some regular costumer always sits there every Tuesday. You shrug the barista off and get comfortable at your seat as you said with a smile "I'm sure they won't mind."
After a few minutes, a woman sat next to you; you almost spat your hot choco out at the sight of her, and you thank the gods that you didn't.
On the other hand, Larissa was lost in her own thoughts. She didn't even notice someone else sitting there.
"You don't mind me sitting here right?" Larissa was broken out of her trance by the sound of your voice, and she thought to herself 'what a gentle and caring voice you have.'
When she saw you smiling at her she's instantly drawn towards you. She didn't even register what you just said but she replied "yes." She gives you the most precious smile you've ever seen, so you smile in turn and she thought the same.
You turn your head to the barista and shouted to them "see... the gorgeous woman doesn't mind." You then proceeded to give Larissa a flirtatious wink.
Larissa feels herself heat up and blush by your innuendos. You smile at yourself feeling proud of your accomplishment.
You plan on flattering Larissa some more, but it was interrupted by a plan you've already forgotten just by looking at her.
A woman approached you and said "Y/N, right?" You nodded at her to confirm. She gave you a moment to reply, and when you didn't she typed something on her phone, and yours pinged when she finished. You read the message and your eyes widen at the realisation. You have a date with this woman. "Lin." You said and she replied with a simple "yes."
You gathered your things and stood up. You signaled Lin to lead the way, and when she turned her back- you lean down on Larissa's ear to say "I hope we had more time, but see you when I see you miss beautiful." You gave her another wink and add a flying kiss as you walk away from her.
You try to focus on the pretty woman infront of you but your mind keeps drifting back to that even prettier woman at the café. If you knew her name; it would be what you were screaming or moaning instead of Lin's.
Now-- everytime you lay with someone; her face pops up in your head, and no matter how hard you close your eyes it can't be helped. When the others speak up and you open your eyes, then you would get disappointed that it is not her underneath you. It's so wrong and so cruel to others but they don't know and nobody's getting hurt, so you continue.
Another Tuesday comes, and you eagerly wait for her at your usual booth. And at last, you meet again...
"Hey, miss gorgeous, it is so nice to see you again." You said while you devour her with your eyes.
"Hey stranger, you miss me?" She asked as she gulped at the sight of you.
You chuckled at her question and replied "Oh, I very much did. Ever since I laid my eyes on you you're all I could think about. I longed for the moment I would see you again." You put your hands at the table, and you lean towards her to admire her beauty more closer.
"I'm Y/N by the way." You held your hand out for her to shake, and that she did "Larissa Weems. Pleasure to meet you darling." She said as she held your hand.
"Larissa..." you remarked and smirked as you bring her knuckles to your lips to kiss them. "Ms. Weems the pleasure is all mine." You said as you caress her knuckles with your thumb.
Larissa can't help but be flattered by your declaration matching your actions. She have never met someone so confident and she never have someone who treats her as kindly as you. She thought to herself 'she's a woman, but she's also such a gentleman.'
The teachers at nevermore sees the glow and the change in Larissa's demeanor. Even the students teased her, and even question her for being kinder and softer than usual. She didn't know why... until it hit her like a lightning from above.
Almost everybody she's close with mention to her or pester her about being in love.
'But to whom could I possibly fell in love with?' Larissa found herself asking the same question from time to time.
She was in her way to weathervane on a late Sunday night even if she has an early start tomorrow. She had overheard from the baristas that you stay as late as you can every Sunday. She doesn't even know why, but she miss you so badly, and would love to really see you or talk to you.
She thought she didn't catch you when she went into the café when she couldn't see you there. You were just relieving yourself and she's relieved in turn when she saw you walk out the rest room.
Your back is turned from Larissa so she made her way to you. As she got closer she put a hand on your shoulder.
You turn to face the person who puts their hand on your shoulder, and your eyes widen as you see Larissa. You were shocked, but glad nonetheless. "Larissa! --what are you doing here? Don't you have an early morning? Are you okay?" You bombarded her with questions. Larissa opened her mouth to reply, but before she could answer, you were already dragging her out of the café and you continued to hold her hand as you walked to your apartment.
You can tell Larissa is bothered by something so you decided to soothe her in anyway you can. "Have you eaten? Do you want anything? Some tea, or wine maybe? How can I help you?"
Larissa wondered how she got in your apartment. She didn't remember walking to get here, but she does remember the warmth of your hand holding hers. She suddenly remembered that you asked a question so she answered "uh-- yes..." you just gave her a warm smile, and prepared everything you just offered. This routine became usual.
Wednesday morning Larissa decided to get breakfast at the weathervane; hoping to see you there.
When she got there you were sitting at your usual booth talking to some woman, so she quickly took her place beside you and greet you. She doesn't care if she seems rude... 'who is this woman she's talking with?' is playing in her head as she display one of her most charming smile at you.
"Y/N darling." Larissa greeted you with a wide grin plastered on her face, and you just replied with a "Hey." She moves closer to you and you look at her with confusion written on your face.
"I had a good time last time, is there any chance we could do it again soon?" The woman asked and you quickly replied "I don't think so. I told you it was just a one time thing--"
Larissa butted in "what are you two talking about?" You try to form an answer but you can't, so the other woman asks Larissa a question "Are you Y/N's mother?"
Larissa scoffed, "what?" The other woman growled, "well in that case we were talking about sex." Larissa just nodded and asked "how old are you?" the woman answered "22."
Larissa looked at you with dismay, rage, and something else that you can't quite put a pin on. "Y/N, she's basically a child." She sneered and you could only sigh in response as you shook your head from side to side. The other woman huffed and sneered back "how old do you think she is? She might actually be the same age as me."
Larissa's eyes widen and she remark "what!?"
With that you decided to wave the other woman goodbye, and ask her politely to leave you and Larissa alone.
You laugh nervously as Larissa glared at you, "is it true-- that you're as young as her?"
You look at her with puppy eyes and reply "I'm not as old as her... I'm atleast a year or two older. I met her before you."
Larissa sighs in defeat, "I can't believe it. From all the people I could possibly b---" you watch her intently waiting for her to finish her thoughts. But before Larissa confessed she's inlove with you she stopped herself, and she looked back to all the things she did just so she could get a glimpse of you, hear your voice, make you smile or laugh, and everything in between. She just realised herself that she is infact inlove with you.
You clear your throat and it pulled her out of her reverie, and you asked her "what? From all the people you could possibly what?"
'I'm inlove with you' Larissa almost blurted out. But she just shrug you off and said as she inhaled deeply "Nothing. Never mind."
You both have such amazing time together. She spend the night at your place. Till it get to the point where you were cuddling each other 'til you sleep.
If someone told you that you would spend a night with a very gorgeous and hot woman in your bed and sleep with them, but not have sex with them; you would laugh your ass off, and think that it is such a clever joke. But here you are cuddling Larissa as she sleeps. You're definitely inlove with her, and the thought that she might be inlove with you sends you into a deep and peaceful slumber.
The morning rays that escaped the curtains hits your eyes, and it wakes you from your slumber. When you open your eyes you see Larissa watching you passionately and lovingly-  making your lips break into a smile, "How long have you been watching me sleep babe?"
She chuckles at your question and asked, "you sleep alright darling?"
You quickly replied, "the best I had in such a long time, and it's only because you were beside me baby." You cupped her cheeks and you move closer to kiss her...When you pulled away from the kiss it dawned on you that you just can't do that "I --uh... sorry; I should not hav---" you try to apologise but Larissa quickly shuts you up with her tongue on yours. When she pulled away you sighed contentedly.
"I could get used to waking up like this every morning." You quipped and she laughed at you. You muffled her laugh with your tongue on hers as you climb on top of her, "I'm serious."
Larissa hummed at your mouth as your hands began to wander, and trace every curves in her body. Then your alarm sounds waking Larissa up from her delicious dream.
When she open her eyes everything is still blurry, so she moved to scratch her eyes, then she realised she's laying on top of someone. Her tall figure is hiding your whole body and only half of your face can be seen. She panicked and thought that she might be suffocating you, so she try to move away to let you breathe.
You felt her pulling away so you pull her closer, and you wrap your arms around her tightly. "Don't go yet-- you're so warm and cozy... I don't wanna get up yet." You declared groggily. She gulped and inhaled deeply, but she instantly relaxes in your touch and in your embrace that it made her fall asleep again. She'll worry about that dream later.
Your next alarm woke Larissa up, and she realises that you weren't underneath or beside her anymore. When she lifted her head up  to look for you; the smell of pancakes envelops her nose-- it puts a smile on her face and it warms her heart.
"Pancakes huh--" Larissa said and you turn to face her. "Pancakes, bacon, and eggs; I'm not the best cook so don't expect something as extravagant as you my lady." You replied and she lowered her head as she chuckles to try to hide her blush. 'Heavens... I'm so inlove with this girl--' Larissa thought to herself.
You were chatting with Larissa at your usual booth at the weathervane and when someone asks you out you told them you were dating exclusively.
"I didn't know you were dating someone." Larissa told you after the other woman left. You just smiled and chuckled at her. Then there's an awkward silence.
"So... who's this lucky girl you're dating?" She asked and you look at her to get a read on her expression- she was kind of beaming with excitement, but also kind of pissed off, but you thought she was just being silly, so you play along.
You chuckled, "oh-- you know her... you see her everyday." You smirked at her.
"That is rather unfair-- I see a lot of women everyday... why can't you just tell me?" Larissa declared.
You grinned widely, amused by her query, which you thought was her matching your humor that she thinks is you being serious...
After a few minutes, Larissa thought to herself and she began to speak, "is it Dr. Kinbott?"
You're confused by her statement, "what about her?" You inquired.
She quickly replied, "the one you're dating... is it her?"
You scoffed and chuckled, but it quickly faded when you saw her face, her eyes laced with something serious and something you can't put a name on. You furrowed your brows and moved your body closer to her. "Are you serious?" You asked Larissa, and she just shook her head, "yes," in response.
"I'm not dating her. You have to stop now, I don't like where this is going." You declared. She replied "Stop what?"
She's oblivious-- You're oblivious... surely chaos ensues.
"This silly joke." You stated.
"I haven't got a clue what you're on about." Larissa shrugs, and you bit your lower lip in frustration as you exhale through your nose.
You commanded her to look at you and that she did. "I thought we're dating this whole time." You declared, and Larissa just looks at you completely still, "what?" Was all she could mutter.
"Well I made it clear that I really like you, and I thought you like me back. Also, we've been spending a lot of time together in a lot of different places. You are my everything... Hell --we've been sleeping together; not in the way I've been wanting to... but still-"
Larissa was left speechless by your declaration.
After a moment, you speak again, "Turns out I was being delusional, and it only became clear to me that you don't feel the same." You release a breath you didn't know you were holding, and you wipe the tears you didn't know we're falling.
You begin to stand up to walk away and mope, but you were stopped by soft and slender hands gripping on your wrists for dear life.
"I wasn't sure you like me back, and I thought you were just being kind." She inhaled deeply, and after she exhaled, she said, "you are not delusional. I was just blind... I do feel the same about you, my darling. You are everything I never thought I needed, and more."
The tears of sorrow that you've been having are now the tears of joy brought by Larissa's confession and your feelings being acknowledged and reciprocated.

Capillaries Are Bursting (Ch.1)
Tumblr media
Summary; Larissa is in a terrible marriage, one that she was forced into to make her reputation and her family's reputation look better. She never wanted to be married to a man, but was given no choice. Instead of living the life she wanted to live, she serves under a husband that clearly doesn’t even love her, much less cares anything about how she feels. Larissa finds herself in a predicament when she begins to have feelings for the nanny of her child. What happens when the nanny shares the same feelings and finds themselves in a situation that could put them both in danger?
Notes; This is going to be a no magic, no shapeshifting kind of fic for Larissa. The song Labour by Paris Paloma (which I highly recommend) is what has inspired this fic. It's going to be angsty, and it's going to make you angry, but I also hope it makes you hope for true love. There will be warnings of abuse, patriarchal ideologies and just general bullshittery. I don't know how long it's going to be, but I do have some plans. As always, I'm open to criticism and words of encouragement. Please let me know if you'd like more of this. Link to a03 is in the title.
Deirdre Face Reference ; Maria Doyle Kennedy (cause she's wow)
A marriage of convenience. A merging of houses. A woman put in her place at the hands of her father. Love was not a part of Larissa Wems’ marriage. No, she had been pawned off at the age of eighteen, her father giving her to a man ten years older than her. Why? Well, Larissa’s family and her soon-to-be husband’s family would benefit greatly from the two coming together. Money was involved, as it always was in the inner circles of the rich. Larissa could never understand how one’s parents could place their child in an arranged marriage, choosing their love of money over their daughter’s happiness. But alas, that was exactly what was happening.
The day the news had been given to her after years of being told this was how it would be, Larissa had felt her world shatter. She had always daydreamed of having someone she loved dearly, being close with them, and knowing their ins and out’s before marriage was even discussed. And a secret she had kept to herself was the fact that she wished for her love to be a woman. Men were of no interest to Larissa, they never truly had been. While growing up, she had envisioned having a woman by her side, holding hands and taking care of each other as a true couple would. It seemed, however, that no such fate was in the cards for her.
What could she possibly know about being a wife, especially at the age of eighteen? How was she supposed to take care of a man when she wasn’t even completely sure how to take care of herself? Larissa was still figuring out who she was, and who she wanted to be. There were so many questions she had unanswered, so many thoughts swirling in her head about what she wanted her life to be. She knew without a doubt that she cared not for being a wife to someone she didn’t know, much less a wife to a man.
Her parents had no clue of this, however. She had never felt safe enough in their presence to express anything she felt deep down inside. Her entire life they ridiculed her for everything they could think of. There was never a time when they approved of anything Larissa deeply enjoyed. They taught her to be prim and proper, to be a true lady. True ladies didn’t show too much emotion but always had a smile on their faces. True ladies listened to the men in their lives and obeyed when they commanded. True ladies kept their backs straight and their faces forward, giving an air of confidence, but not too much. Nothing could be too much, nothing could overshadow any man in their lives. Larissa spent her whole life being told that men were superior and women should know their place. It was torture.
The day Larissa was given the news of her being betrothed to a man was the very same day she had met him. He was nice enough, even if a little overbearing. He smiled at her, bowed, kissed her hand, and behaved like the perfect gentleman. He had lingering gazes, clearly finding Larissa’s looks acceptable. They matched heights, which he didn’t seem to be a fan of, but he had only brought it up once. After that, her mother made sure to keep Larissa out of heels each time she sent her out on a date with the man.
“It’s to please him, dear. You must remember this.” Her mother had told her, trying to convey that it was best to keep him happy. Larissa had put up a fight for a while with her mother, but her father intervened eventually and it cut the argument short.
“You will do as we say. That is the long and short of it.” He had commanded, glaring at Larissa like he wished he’d had an entirely different daughter.
Her protests died on her lips and she remained quiet, obeying as she’d always been taught to do. She hated every moment of it, wishing beyond hope that there was a way out. But there seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel. Instead, she faced only darkness, already threatening to consume her before the marriage was even final. Truly she wished to be sucked into a hole and do disappear entirely. But alas, a woman such as herself was a hard one to hide.
There were several dates with her fiance before the wedding was even planned. It seemed he wanted to show her off like she was some showhorse, prancing her around as if he had her on a lead. And really, it did seem as if there was an invisible lead of some sort, pulling Larissa along despite her feelings about the situation. Not that she had voiced them to her fiance (that word felt so odd on her tongue about a man). She mainly stayed quiet around him, letting him take the lead in conversations just as she had been coached. It took every ounce of strength Larissa had to keep her mouth shut though, the man seemed to be denser than the Amazon Rainforest.
He was kind to her though. As kind as a man with rich arrogance could be, anyway. He didn’t beat Larissa, didn’t try to force anything on her (for which she was grateful). But Larissa knew that this wouldn’t last very long. Something in the pit of her stomach told her that misery and woe were soon to come.
It was only six months that had passed before Larissa was forced into marrying the man. Six very short months where her entire being was panicked and anxious. Those feelings only grew on the wedding night, knowing what was expected of her. Knowing there was no way out of this, especially after the I Do’s were said. Larissa was terrified, frightened, and distressed beyond belief. She was equipped for many things, but this was not one of them.
On her wedding night, after her husband (that phrase would never feel right to her) had taken what he wanted from her, Larissa cried herself to sleep in silence, wishing for a different life. She’d let herself have that one moment before she placed herself in a steely resolve the morning after, blocking herself off emotionally to survive. It was only the beginning and she knew there would be years she had to endure. Years of being whatever a man wanted her to be.
Before Larissa even knew it, twenty years had passed. Twenty years of what felt like being locked in a stuffy cage, repeating the same day over and over again. Twenty years of being married to a man who did not love her nor care for her or even gave her second glances when in the same room. There had been countless times when she had found evidence of him cheating on her. Lipstick stains on collars, strange voicemails left on phones, notes left in pockets, and strange cars in their long and winding driveway.
Not that Larissa cared. At least he wasn’t trying to have sex with her anymore. At least he didn’t touch her and make her skin feel slimy and rotten where fingertips had touched. The most torturing part of it all was the fact that he wouldn’t let her go. He could do as he pleased, could run around, and make indecent choices. But Larissa? Larissa had to continue to be the proper wife and continue to pretend she was satisfied with her situation and the lavish things that she had.
So many arguments had been started, so many slaps to the face because Larissa expressed her unhappiness.
“Just let me go, Roger. Please. Neither one of us is invested in this marriage, we never have been. There’s no need for me to be here.” She had pleaded, trying to make him see reason. But it had only made him see red and grab her by the arms, shaking her violently as he screamed at her. That was how it always ended, leaving Larissa to continually feel trapped and broken.
Her only solace was her child, the only thing keeping her above ground. Her daughter was the only thing that kept her head above water as she teetered under the surface of depression. Each time an argument ensued, she would find her daughter afterward and try to focus on her, not the swirling thoughts of morbidity.
After a particularly harrowing fight, Larissa found herself weaving her way through the long corridors of her home, seeking her daughter at a frantic pace. Her mind felt as if it was unraveling, sending her into a spiraling swirl of panic. If she could just find her daughter and wrap her arms around her, it would ground her. It would put her mind at ease, if even for a moment.
Reaching her daughter’s playroom, Larissa burst through the door a lot harder than intended. She watched as he daughter jumped and leaped towards the nanny sitting near her on the floor. The nanny jumped as well, scooping little Olivia into her arms to protect the little girl. However, as soon as they both realized who had come through the door, Olivia pushed away from the nanny and ran straight for Larissa.
“Mommy! You scared me!” The little girl announced vehemently, eyes wide as she looked up at Larissa with blue eyes matching the mother’s own.
Olivia hugged Larissa’s legs as she bent down to kiss the top of her daughter’s head. “I’m so sorry, darling. Mommy didn’t mean to scare you.” She cooed, hands wrapping around the little girl in hopes of it soothing her.
Larissa’s eyes darted towards the nanny, throwing her an apologetic look as well. “My apologies, Deirdre!” She said with a small, apologetic smile as she unwrapped her arms from around Olivia.
“Think nothing of it, Mrs. Weems!” Deirdre answered with a wave of her hand, giving her most reassuring smile back to Larissa. “And please, you can call me DD. I’ve been here long enough.” Deirdre chuckled, getting up from her place on the floor.
As she stood, her eyes washed over Larissa, noticing the distress in her eyes and the way her body tensed up. This seemed to be the state Larissa was in all the time, especially if her husband was around. It made her wonder what conversation she had just had with the man. Truthfully, she loathed Roger Weems. He was the most arrogant, stuck-up piece of shit Deirdre had ever come across. Why Larissa was with him was beyond her.
Deirdre had been Olivia’s nanny since she had been born, there to help Larissa whenever she needed it. So she had had quite a bit of time to ponder on the relationship between Roger and Larissa. There were so many unanswered questions that she had, but the one she knew the answer to had been obvious since day one. Larissa did not love Roger and Roger only cared for himself and the plethora of pussy he paraded in and out of his too-lavish home.
Larissa had her sharp edges, that much was clear. But DD had come to the conclusion that those sharp edges had been made by her life with Roger. She knew there was so much more to Larissa than meets the eye, and that much she had assessed from the way she interacted with Olivia. The lady of the house hadn’t shared too much with Deirdre, even in the amount of time she had been there, but she knew very well that Larissa was a good woman just stuck in a bad marriage.
It made her heart ache for the woman and the child. No one should have to grow up in a home where the parents didn’t love each other, where they only tolerated each other at best. Deirdre had spent most of her life in a similar situation and so as the nanny, she tried her best to make things as right as possible for the child.
Larissa could feel DD’s eyes on them, but especially her. She had often wondered if her gaze was something more than just curious. It was obvious that Deirdre was a good woman, the way she interacted with Olivia told Larissa everything she needed to know. But the way the woman liked to include her in things, the way she seemed to reach out emotionally to offer comfort was something Larissa could not ignore.
After feeling such comfort and kindness from someone, it put Roger in such a stark contrast. It put him in the darkest of lights and made Larissa’s hatred for him run even deeper. Deirdre reminded her that she deserved so much better. This was the very reason Larissa had grown to really care for her. Of course, she had not acted on such feelings. She hid them the best she could, not wanting to put the nanny in an unpredictable situation. Her eyes, however, didn’t always seem to get the memo.
Larissa stared up at DD through her mascara-laden eyelashes, wishing she could hug her as tightly as she hugged her daughter. Wishing they could touch at all without it being improper. With a deep breath, she stood up straighter and gently played with her daughter's hair.
“I promise to try harder in remembering that,” Larissa assured, trying her best to reel in the large smile spreading across her lips.
Larissa and Deirdre stared at each other for a moment, blue eyes meeting blue as an understanding seemed to flow between the two of them. It seemed they were silent for a moment too long though because Olivia was quite distraught over it as she tugged on the bottom of Larissa’s skirt.
“Mommy! Mommy!” The little girl was adamant in her want for attention, eyes darting between the two women.
Both women broke themselves of their gaze, realizing they’d lost themselves for a moment. Larissa’s eyes lingered for just a moment longer, longing and something akin to love lingering behind those ocean eyes, before they pulled away and down towards her daughter.
“What is it, little one?” Larissa asked as she bent down in the most proper of ways, keeping her legs together as she tried her best to make herself a little more easily accessible to Olivia.
“DD is so pretty, don’t you think Mommy?” The little girl questioned, grinning between the two of them as her eyes flicked back and forth between her mother and her nanny.
Larissa blinked, taken aback by her daughter’s question. Her eyes flickered to DD for just a moment, eyes scanning her face quickly in order to see the other woman’s facial expression on the matter.
Deirdre looked about as surprised as Larissa before a blush crept up her cheeks, a small chuckle escaping her momentarily. “That’s an awful way to put your mother on the spot there, Livi.” The nanny teased, shaking her head in disbelief.
“But it’s true!” The child protested, slapping her hands on Larissa’s knees. “Tell her she’s pretty, Mommy! Come on!” Olivia squealed as she jumped up and down in excitement.
Larissa couldn’t help but laugh at her daughter’s antics, though there was a bit of a panic in her chest as she watched her daughter and avoided Deirdre’s lingering gaze for the moment. She could feel heat spreading across her cheeks and up to her ears, washing her skin in a flame she’d never felt before she’d met Deirdre.
“Yes, my darling little girl. DD is quite pretty.” She agreed, eyes peering up at Deirdre at the use of the nickname she had insisted Larissa use.
The tension between the two adults in the room mounted for a moment, swirling around them like a sexualized whirlwind. They shivered in tandem as their eyes finally met, Larissa swallowing hard as Deirdre licked her lips. Just as Larissa was about to open her mouth to say something more, Roger came barrelling into the room like a bull.
Everyone jumped and Larissa stood up straight, all evidence of any kind of emotion leaving her face. The only thing that could be seen, by anyone actually paying attention, was the flame of hatred dancing behind Larissa’s eyes.
Roger didn’t even seem to notice the tension in the room as he placed his deadly glower towards his wife. “We must be leaving now, or we will be late for this dinner. I suggest you hurry yourself up, otherwise, there will be consequences.” He threatened, not even making a show of caring who thought what of his outburst.
Larissa gave a curt nod before bending down to kiss Olivia on the head. “I will be back in a few hours, my darling. Have fun with Deirdre, yes?” She smiled brightly at her daughter, but it didn’t reach her eyes. Deirdre noticed, as she always did.
“Come on, little wild one. We’ll find you some dinner and then see if we can learn a few things before bedtime, hmm?” Deirdre reached out for Olivia’s hand, which the child gladly took as soon as she let go of Larissa.
Watching with unshed tears in her eyes, trying her best to fight them off, Larissa nodded her head at Deirdre in thanks, her lips mouthing the word so softly. Deirdre smiled back just as softly, wanting nothing more than to comfort the clearly distraught woman. But instead, she turned and left the room with Olivia, hoping to shield the child just a moment longer from her mother’s pain.

Twisted Motives (Chpt. 1)
Tumblr media
Larissa Weems x Fem!Reader
Chapter 1: Caught
Summary: A troubled writer flees from her troubled job in New York to teach a workshop on creative writing. However new she appears to Jericho, Y has history, a child born of the D’je tribe, a nomadic group native to the East Coast, Y’s existence has been shrouded in mystery since the moment she was born. Finding comraderie in the most unexpected not places, of people, Y mistakes her acceptance for safety. As things at Nevermore take a turn for the worst, Y learns that it isn’t just her secrets that are at stake, but the whole of Nevermore. [SO much world-building in this fic, will be a series].
Warnings: Written third-person, reader identified as ‘Y’ for my own sanity, Hispanic culture incorrectly used as a tool to teach (piñatas are NOT properly used).
Word Count: 2.1k words
The rain poured through the open cracks in the stone of Nevermore, slowly trickling down through the walls and into Y’s classroom. Buckets quietly tinged as drops of water splashed at the bottom of the tin. It added to the ambience of her classroom, the dim light and walls decorated with posters of classic English and Russian literature, the cornerstone of Y’s teaching style. Truth be told she had never expected to be teaching a classroom, especially with her religious and cultural preferences. But Y was mistaken, the students were both accepting and a bit relieved to have a teacher just as outcast as them. It was a simple job, albeit filled with corrections and piles of students short stories that never seemed to run out. But every once in a while, on a day identical to this one, the students were given the chance to put their creative ideas out into the world.
Paper and glue filled every open surface, the students happily slapping on the tiny colored paper shreds onto balloons. This was Y’s crowning accomplishment as a teacher, and activity both educational and engaging. The balloons has been filled with not candy, or toys, but rather jumbo puzzle pieces painted white and scrawled on in sharpie, puzzle pieces that once exposed, would be constructed to form the chronological composition of the student’s ideal fantasy novel. The piñatas would be decorated with a short summaries of their stories. The students had chattered about this activity since Monday, and it had drawn the attention of a good portion of the staff, including the principal.
“Alright everyone, find a good stopping place and direct your attention to the front please,” Y called.
The students begrudgingly stopped their crafting, sighing and groaning as they turned their attention to the strangely dressed woman at the front.
“Principal Weems is coming in to examine the progress of your writing piñatas, and I expect you all to be on your best behavior,”
Students began to roll their eyes and idly chatter among themselves.
“The most respectful students get candy. More specifically, skittles or starburst,”
Several of the boys whooped and the classroom was once again filled with laughter and talk, bubbling up like a milk-filled pot. Y smiled, her students were so full of life, and it refreshed her.
“Now, I expect her in about 5 minutes, assuming she’s early per usual, but since we have a little bit of time, how about we do the daily question?”
The daily question consisted of student’s questions pre-written and left in a jar. One question was pulled per day and answered unless it was otherwise inappropriate or otherwise irrelevant to Y’s stance as a teacher. Most questions were silly, ‘Favorite color’, ‘What are your big three’, and so on.
“The daily question is….” Y said, shuffling her hand around the glass jar until she caught ahold of a corner, “What are your cultural practices and how do they influence the way you dress?”
Y was shocked. It was neither inappropriate or otherwise irrelevant, but so thoughtful was this question that it surprised her. The handwriting was neat and elegant, and Y immediately narrowed it down to a few girls. It would take further inspection to be sure, but she suspected it was Wednesday who wrote it.
“Well,” Y began, “My cultural practices are heavily influenced by-“
The door swung open to reveal the tall figure of Principal Weems, dressed to kill as was customary for her. Y and Weems exchanged a glance before Larissa nodded for her to continue.
“Right, as I was saying per the daily question, my cultural practices are influenced by D’je spirituality which follows the movement of celestial bodies, more specifically the moon, which dictates how we dress, eat, and conduct our lives,”
Y paced around the front of the room, uncomfortable under the intense scrutiny of Principal Weem’s gaze.
“It is practice that all D’je tribes folk wear the Lorid, or the head piece that covers our scalp. It is not a hijab or a hair covering, but rather a symbol of our devotion to the moon,”
Weems nodded as Y spoke, intrigued by her culture. This was the first time Y had publicly spoke about her cultural customs in such explicit detail, and it entranced her.
“We also wear the Særth, or the wrapping that covers our back and upper chest. This too is tradition. All garments, whether cultural or otherwise, must follow the moon cycle. Dark, heavy garments are worn on the New and Waning moons, while lighter, brighter, garments are worn during the full and waxing moons,”
By this point all students were engaged and intrigued by Y’s brief introduction into the D’je cultural beliefs. The tribe was a quiet part of the Jericho community, a small group living in a secluded reservation up in the mountains above Jericho. Not much was made public about their traditions, but the bloody history of the D’je people was carved into local legends. A defensive and deeply rooted tribe, these people had not once been moved from their land, rather they were known for keeping to themselves and generally avoiding colonizers, a trait that bore them much bloodshed during the early stages of colonization.
But the history was as deeply intriguing as were the whispers. Locals had spun tales of the deformities the D’je tribe hid, the monstrous scales and crooked tails they hid, the deformed backs, the bald scalps. They were all bullshit of course. At least that’s what Y had adamantly defended to her students.
“Alright. That’s a brief summary of my cultural traditions, please welcome Principal Weems to your stations, I’m sure she has much to explore,” Y said, a tight smile on her face.
As the Principal took note of every students design, Y took a moment to fiddle with the Lorid. All this scrutiny had worried her. It was a full moon which meant Y was as lightly dressed as could be reasonable in this chilly climate, all of her hair exposed and cascading down her neck and back. The Lorid was secured by a thousand pins, but Y still felt nervous. Being the full moon Y was granted exemption from her evening classes to attend a tribal gathering, but she still had a good hour before then.
“Ms. Y, I am pleased with both your teaching and relationship with your students,” Principal Weems chirped, breaking Y’s inner monologue.
“Well thank you Principal Weems, I’ve grown accustomed to both in the two months I’ve been here,” Y nervously smiled.
“Oh for the last time, it’s Larissa when we’re alone,” Larissa playfully scolded.
Y’s smile melted into a genuine one, relief washing over her like a cool breeze.
“I was so honored to hear about your cultural practices. I’m well aware of how tight-liked you usually are,” Larissa continued.
“Am I tight-lipped or did you just never ask?” Y joked.
Both women laughed at this, comraderie bubbling as the students finished up their projects.
“Class, this is your five-minute warning!” Y called, briefly breaking from her brief conversation with Larissa.
As the students filed out of her classroom, Y anxiously waited for Larissa to excuse herself. Although she was not teaching a class, Y had a mountain of grading to get caught up on, and her prep-period only allotted an hour before she was expected to leave and attend the D’je ritual.
“Larissa, I am delighted to have had your presence in my classroom today, but I fear that my grading can only wait for so long,” Y sighed.
“Oh of course, I understand. Although I was hoping we could have a quick chat about next-year,” Larissa mused.
“Next year?” Y gasped.
“Well of course, we’d love to have you on the roster full-time,”
“Oh, well I just couldn’t be sure-“
“-Come discuss it with me in my office tomorrow morning before school. Here is some paperwork I’d like you to look over before then,” Larissa smiled, gently pushing the folder into your hands.
Y was left dumbfound as Larissa turned and walked down the row of desks, turning to momentarily smile before shutting the door. Looking at the stack of files Y groaned. The grading would have to wait.
<^*————————*^>
Y walked across the gravel road that led to the tribe’s gathering hall, tired and a bit depressed by her inactivity. The file had been filled with teacher reports and student notes praising Y’s teaching, how included and safe they felt, how writing would be their career once they left Nevermore, all of it was a trap devised by Larissa to keep Y there, to keep her teaching. Y’s simple plan to take a break from her novels had ended up being a roadblock, a sign post pointing in two conflicting directions. It was so overwhelming, and Y needed an escape. That’s what she found in the hall.
“Y, you’ve come!” Sierra, Y’s younger sister cheered as she ran towards her. “C’mon, it’s time to remove your Lorid and Særth,”
Y smiled as she slowly began to fiddle with the headpiece, watching as her sister did the same. Bobby-pins decorated the floor as they hastily unwrapped the head covering to reveal their dark horns. The Lorid was indeed triangle-shaped, constructed in a way that hid and concealed their horns without adding too much weight or bulk to the hair. Most horns were no more than three or four inches, pointing at an angle that made for easy concealment. But the Jericho tribe was known for larger horns, big twisted things that led for tricky concealment. Such was Y’s curse.
The Særth was next, carefully unraveling the twisted fabric, Y let out a sigh of relief as her wings were slowly unbound. When properly wrapped, Y could get away with the excuse of bad posture, one she had often used in the city, but at Nevermore she had grown more lax, a decision that both relieved and prevented wing cramps. The Jericho wingspan was also notably larger than most tribes. It made for easier and prolonged flying, a trait all members took advantage of.
“Did you hear, Aunt Cara gained five pounds last week from the baby, I don’t think she’ll be able to fly tonight, at least not for long,” Sierra giggled.
“That baby is gonna be massive,” Y smirked. “Hopefully she won’t need a C-section, Doctor Mark might have to be re-sworn in,”
The girls giggled and joked as they made their way over to the open arena, stretching and pumping their wings as they went. Joined by a group of 70 adults and 10 children, they listened as Chief Vera prompted the ceremony.
The Full Moon ceremony consisted of a little dancing, singing and a few whispered prayers of protection for the night’s adventures. Warnings and reminders were given: Don’t fly directly in the moons light, don’t approach residences and don’t fly towards lights. Ever since the appearance of the Jersey-Devil’s legend, the D’je people had been hyper-vigilant against being spotted, but the story continue as people blamed the tribes uncovered forms on a devilish creature born of the night.
The girls were unconcerned, however. They knew the rules by now, and could recite them in their sleep. Eventually a horn was blown, and the D’je people took to the skies. Sierra and Y quickly banked toward the Nevermore school, a river and several scenic bits of the forest begged to be visited on that night.
As they flew closer, the girls spotted a dim light quietly pacing through the undergrowth. Y quietly flew into the upper foliage of the trees, being sure to land quietly. Sierra was soon to follow, and they slowly began gliding from tree to tree, closer towards the figure that dared step so close into D’je territory.
The form was familiar to Y, and she gasped as she made out the figure of Larissa, quietly walking a forest path through the wilderness. Y was clumsy, too focused on getting closer than to being quiet, and a branch snap alerted Larissa. Y watched in horror as Larissa extended the torch up and toward the outer branches, inches from Y’s feet. But Y wasn’t alone. Sierra let out a series of short yelps, in imitation of a hoot owl, and flew off, giving Y a short period to fly off before Larissa turned the torch back towards her. Y flew forward, determined to make it our, but a curiosity drove her to look back, to see the face of a woman she had so unnecessary spooked.
The torch light grazed against her face, and for a short moment, Larissa and Y’s eyes met. Y shook and wearily flew back to the tribal hall, her mind frozen, replaying the look of recognition on Larissa’s face over and over, waking and dreaming.
A/N: This is a slow-burn. Sorry not sorry, I am not 18 for another week and I refuse to write smut until I can reasonably say I could at least be legally pegged. Will I write it? Stay tuned.

Always Almost
Tumblr media
Author's note: heyyyyy y'all (don't attack me for that) making fanfics is definitely something that's new to me, I don't even really write in my free time so definitely don't be expecting some shakespearean story lol just doin my best, but I’m soooo excited to join the fanfic community and can't wait to share my writing with all of you!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter 1: “A love story is always equal parts tragic as it is beautiful, everything is, well It's always almost. I’ll be telling you my story of the moment my almost became my always.” “Now I won't lie to you and say this story is in any way happy. No if I'm being honest this story is one of the most crushing in my life so if you choose to stay happy leave now, but if you choose to test the waters and hear one of the most beautifully tragic love stories please stay. I promise my, no not my, her story is worth it.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The crisp fall air hit me as I stepped out of my car. My eyes fell upon the absolutely glorious school that was nevermore academy, where I expected to spend the next few years teaching. As I made my way up the steps into the school I was almost immediately greeted by the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen. Her scarlet red lipstick paired perfectly with her ice blue eyes, her snow colored hair matching her cream colored dress, her hair twisted into a glorious bun framing her face in the most elegant way, and that smile the kind that shined so bright it would put a thousand suns to shame. I was not very instantly pulled out of my trance when I heard my name, it had to have been said at least 4 times by that point I just hadn’t taken the chance to notice. “Miss Winters?” She repeated  “Hmm? Oh my goodness I'm so terribly sorry I don’t know where I was just then” I try to laugh it off knowing there's no way she hadn’t noticed my previous behavior. “It's quite alright” she let out the faintest yet most beautiful chuckle “I was just asking if you would like a tour of the school” “Oh I mean I'm sure you don't have the time, you probably have a list of things to do-“ She cuts me off “oh I mean I wasn't necessarily volunteering, we have students who give the tours,” My face instantly turned beet red, how could I have been so idiotic of course she doesn’t give the tours what kind of principle would have the time for that. “…but if you would like me to show you around my schedule is actually clear for the afternoon”  “Well if you insist, I'm sure no one could give a tour as well as… my goodness I apologize I don't think I caught your name” “Well maybe because I didn't throw it” she chuckles “I'm Miss Weems but you can call me Larissa”
Larissa Weems, a name that no matter how it was spoken always managed to sound like that of an angel, and I was determined to make that angel mine.
thing’s mischief
pairing/s: larissa weems x original female character edith sinclair)
warning/s: definitely not proofread and short :p
a little something for the holidays, merry christmas everybody!
Tumblr media
“over here! we need a few more lights in this area!” bianca managed to yell as xavier huffed with a box of lights and decor.
larissa, holding the other end of the lights, smiled at the sight of the students and staff alike decorating for the holidays. this particular event never really was her favorite holiday to celebrate, usually it would just be her spending it alone in the halls of the school, occasionally coming down to the town and its holiday fiesta. but now, with the help of the students and maybe a certain tall werewolf, she decided to at least lighten up the school for the mood.
suddenly, fingers snapped in front of her face. the said tall werewolf stood there on the ladder with a smirk in her face, the hand she used to snap larissa’s attention now on her hips as the other held onto the ladder.
“earth to larissa weems, you there sweetheart?” larissa rolled her eyes, “i’m here, i’m here.”
“can you pass the star ornaments, ma cherie?”
larissa did as she was told, a small smile on her face as she handed the objects to edith. “am i really not allowed to place things? it’s unladylike of me to be standing here so still when i should be helping.”
edith grinned as she hang the ornaments by the garlands with thing’s help, “you are helping sweetheart.”
“i’m lost at how i’m doing that.” edith snickered.
“you’re being edith’s little helper!” larissa stuck her bottom lip out, “that’s not helping, and that name sucks.”
“the last time you helped, which was only this halloween mind you, you managed to actually destroy half the decors before we even placed them.”
the taller woman sulked, if she wasn’t holding the other end of the lights, she might have crossed her arms over her chest as she grumbled. the mere sight of larissa pouting like a child with her cheeks red nearly sent edith into a cackling mess, the only thing stopping her was the possibility of falling from the ladder.
she chuckled before finally signaling the woman to come closer, “okay, you wanna help? how about you hang that end here.”
larissa beamed, “where exactly?”
edith’s hand came in contact with hers, her delicate fingers guided larissa’s to place on a specific place by the garlands. as she busied herself with teaching where to place the lights, she felt a hand circle on her waist.
“as much as i want to help, i wouldn’t want you falling as you help me with helping.” she whispered into edith’s ear.
instead of going red like she usually would, edith only chuckled. “that is a mouthful of words, sweetheart.”
before she could go back to hanging, they heard whistles and cheers behind them. turning her neck, larissa’s eyes widened at the sight of the students just staring at both of them.
she cocked a brow, “anything interesting you want to tell us, dearests?”
choruses of “look up” and some pointing to the sky were received by the two adults, who both grew red once they set their sights on the subject of curiosity. there by the bannister stood, or rested (idk), thing with a mistletoe on its fingers.
the severed hand teasingly waved the ornament above the couple as if urging them to forgo the tradition. larissa froze with her cheeks burning red as edith massaged the bridge of her nose with a smile, feigning disappointment. if thing had eyes, they’d be winking at enid who has her thumbs up at the hand.
“well, i suppose we should. we wouldn’t want to disappoint them.” larissa stared into edith’s glowing ones, her eyes down at her teasing smile.
the hand that rested on edith’s waist suddenly pulled closer. though edith remained standing still, larissa nudged closer as the gap between them got smaller and smaller.
“we definitely don’t want that do we,” larissa placed a small kiss on edith’s cheek, earning small groans from the small crowd under them. she smirked, grabbing edith’s thighs and carrying her bridal style.
“merry christmas, my love.” she whispered into edith’s lips before pulling her into a breathtaking and passionate kiss, edith’s hands merely tightened their hold on larissa’s shoulders as the children cheered.
she’d have to thank thing with a new bottle of nail polish later.
Masterlist
Visual of Alina
Prompt: 12. “Don’t touch me!”
Warnings: Hurt/comfort, mentions of abuse
Words: 819
It was completely normal day. Larissa and Alina woke up together, had a breakfast and split up to go to their respective work places. Nothing could have prepared them for disaster that is about to come.
“Why do you insist on flaunting him in my face?” Larissa asked "Oh so I'M the one to blame?" Asked Alina her face red with rage. Larissa was equally as angry. Both stood in her office as they argued. "YOU are the one who was flirting with another man. WHILE in my presence no less." "I was not flirting with him, I held normal conversation." Alina was trying to keep calm. "So listening to him whole time, giving him and receiving compliments from him and not paying me any mind isn't flirting?!"
"YOU ARE NOT LISTENING-." Shorter woman's breathing was getting labored Larissa moved back and broke a glass her eyes went wide. Not noticing sudden change in Larissa's demeanor, and her wide scared eyes Alina jerked her hand up to move her fingers trough her hair frustration slowly taking place. She intended on berating her partner on her clumsiness but stopped herself when she saw Larissa jerking away her angry glare turning in to scared whimper and wide eyes. All anger forgotten Alina moved towards older woman.
“Don’t touch me!” Was heard and the girl froze.
Slowly starting to walk not making any sudden movements she spoke "I'm not going to harm you love." Alina spoke softly but silver haired woman didn't listen she backed away as far as she could but was soon stopped by a wall.
"Please I didn't mean to break it I'm sorry." She sounded so scared, her face was deathly shade of white. Slowly Alina put her hands up so they could be in Larissa's field of vision. "Please darling I promise I will not harm you. Can I come closer." Although still shaking she slowly nodded, as soon as she saw it she swiftly crossed what was left of distance between them and pulled woman in to her embrace.
"Darling please know that these hands are here to protect, love and appreciate you. They will never try to harm you."
Larissa was shaking in her arms, slowly Alina noticed that the woman was shifting to be smaller until Alina would be at least head taller than woman in her arms, she sat on Alina's lap her legs on either side of her partner as she tucked her head in to crook of Alina's neck. Speaking of horrible people before Aline, she spoke of the ones who used and abused her. Her last relationship was particularly hard because the one she was with would harm her every chance he got. Be it physical, sexual or emotional abuse. Partners before that would cheat on her, and even when she confronted them about it they would brush her off as delusional.
Alina was livid, her blood boiling at even the thought of anyone harming the woman in her arms. But it also put a lot of things in to perspective, why would Larissa avoid making Alina even just irked, why would she stop any time things got past innocent kisses, even hugs she didn't expect were a no go, and also the very reason of the fight between them. But Alina counted it all as Larissa being vigilant and cautions, it never crossed her mind that someone might have used and abused this beautiful soul.
Bruinette slowly traced shapes on the back of her partner whispering sweet nothings in her ear and comforting her. Larissa shook in her arms letting all of it go, when whimpers and sobs stopped she looked in to Alina's eyes just to find gentleness and kindness she never saw on her partner's face before. Her heart calmed in her chest, and feeling of safety washed over her.
"Darling, I promise you, these eyes only see you, these heart only yearns for you and this body is only yours. There is no one that will even be to your ankles in anything, you are perfect the way you are, and I wouldn't want you in any other way." Alina spoke as she looked gently in to her lovers eyes, they were so beautiful rimmed with red that contrasted her natural blue.
That night was spent in hugs and soft kisses and when pair woke up morning after Larissa found herself with her body partially on Alina, and her nose buried in brunettes' neck. That was first time in a long while that she felt completely at ease and completely relaxed. She felt no need to rush up and put her make up on, especially not after the way Alina looked at her day before as she gently took Larissa's make up off so they can sleep. She felt loved and appreciated by her partner for the first time in her life and she was hooked.
It was almost midnight; Larissa was lying in Alice’s bed with a glass of wine in her hand and her laptop placed in her lap.
The younger woman was curled up against the Principal, resting her head on Larissa’s shoulder, and her eyes fixed on the screen.
They were halfway through season five; their meetings were not daily but regular. Alice grew fonder of that strange woman and Larissa learned to appreciate Alice’s oddities. Their friendship was solid, their feelings genuine.
Alice noticed that something was off when she closed the lid of her laptop.
Larissa’s eyes were a bit distant, she seemed preoccupied.
“Is everything okay?” asked Alice, nestling up against her and hugging her.
Larissa smiled; she became aware of the fact that Alice was a cuddler a few days after their first meeting.
She also learned that Alice barely tolerated the touch of strangers but oddly enough, she very much indulged into the arms of her loved ones.
“I’m worried about tomorrow…” said Larissa.
A new student was joining the Nevermore Academy, even if the lessons had already started. During the past days Larissa has had a few meetings and numerous phone calls.
She was getting more nervous by the day…
Alice had read the files, the girl — Wednesday Addams — had perfect grades, but she had changed eight schools in five years… not to mention the rumours about the murders.
“Is this about the new girl?” asked Alice.
Larissa sighed and shook her head.
Closing her eyes, the Principal rested her head against the headboard and inhaled deeply. Alice could feel her heart beating faster.
“Her family and I have… history”.
Alice waited in silence; she didn’t want to push her too far. Larissa was a private person, and Alice didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable.
“The girl’s mother, Morticia Frump, was my roommate, here at Nevermore” the look in Larissa’s eyes was cold, distant. “She was always so perfect. Captain of the fencing team, Queen of the Dark Prom, President of the Séance Society… she had it all”.
“But you’re the Principal of the Nevermore Academy! You’re like– super important!” Alice pointed out.
Larissa scoffed. “When I was seventeen, I asked Gomez Addams to the Rave-N-Dance and he rejected me. He went with Morticia, instead… every time I see them, I feel like a teenager again”.
Alice hugged her tighter. “If you want, I’ll stay with you during the meeting…”
“That would be nice,” Larissa said with a smile.
Alice nodded, then she reached for her face and stroked her cheek.
“No one will hurt my beautiful Pearl. I told you; you are just like her… stupid Greg and stupid Rose hurt you, but now you have nothing to worry about” there was convinction in her voice that almost made Larissa believe her.
“I have a Gomez Addams, too, you know?” Alice’s voice was almost a whisper. Her hand was still on Larissa’s cheek and the Principal felt her heart beating furiously. “I was twenty-something, working on a case. I realised I needed help, so I summoned the White Queen. We started the investigation, looking for clues, interviewing the locals… and that’s when I met Rahul, he was very cute. And kind… and he immediately fell in love with the Queen…”
Alice dropped her eyes and retrieved her hand.
Larissa felt the cold where her hand was.
“What happened?” she dared to ask.
“The Queen was a part of me. They were getting along, they liked each other. And I thought… if he loves her, he’s gonna love me, too, because she is me. So, I told him…” another long pause, Alice’s eyes became darker, sadder. “It didn’t end well…”
“Please tell me this story doesn’t end with Rahul being the Hyde…”
Alice chuckled. “Oh, no. I would have loved that. I can handle a monster. A broken heart? Not so much…” she replied curling her lips; her eyes met Larissa’s and she found understandingin them, not pity. Then, Alice’s expression changed, she took a moment to recollect her thoughts and frowned. “He was killed by the Hyde, though”.
Larissa fought a laugh, biting the insight of her cheeks. “Please tell me you did everything you could to help him…” she raised an eyebrow at her.
“I did! Well— I could have done more…” Alice pointed out.
This time, Larissa couldn’t stop her laugh and Alice rolled her eyes.
“You know, you look very pretty when you laugh” Alice remarked, slightly nudging her.
Larissa smiled. “Are you flirting with me? After you just told me the story of how your unrequited love accidentally died under your supervision?”
Alice shrugged. “Actually, I’m terrible at flirting, I was merely stating the truth…”
Larissa’s smile grew wider, as she lowered herself into Alice’s embrace until their lips touched.
Alice responded to the kiss immediately, parting her lips and allowing their tongues to intertwine.
It was a nice, sweet kiss. The room was soon filled with soft wet sounds and low moans.
Somehow, they ended up sprawled on the bed, Larissa was laying on top of Alice, framing her face with her hands, caressing her hair with the tips of her fingers.
Alice’s hands were holding onto dear life on Larissa’s back; time seemed to have stopped.
That’s when Larissa’s alarm on her phone went off, meaning it was half past midnight.
The two of them were both out of breath and surprised by the turn of the events, but Alice was smiling, and Larissa’s eyes were beaming.
“See you in a few hours?” Alice turned off the alarm and handed her the phone.
Larissa nodded and placed another light peck on Alice’s lips. “Good night”.
“Wednesday’s child is full of woe”.
So, there it was, the Addams family. Gomez was exactly like Alice had imagined. He seemed charming, elegant… an old-fashioned man. Morticia was stunning. She was one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen. Her voice was gentle, her smile was kind, her curves were soft and round. Wednesday seemed in a very bad mood, but she had a sharp mind, and a quick voice. Alice respected that.
In the Principal's office, Alice had her own small desk, next to a window. She was silently observing the people around her, their communication skills. Something she lacked…
That’s when Morticia asked about Wednesday’s therapy sessions… it was the first time someone referred to Larissa by using her name and not her title. Alice felt a tinge of jealousy in her chest, though she didn’t fully understand why… it was just a name.
Larissa kept ignoring Wednesday’s little taunts, and finally they decided to leave in order to show the girl her new room.
Alice stayed in the office, preparing the latest things required for Wednesday’s arrival at Nevermore Academy. She was allergic to colours, apparently. So they had a special order for her uniform and according to the email she received, it had arrived that morning. Alice alerted the registrar, and sent a few more copies of the semester schedule, just in case.
Fifteen minutes later, Larissa was back in her office. She slammed the door and threw herself on the chair before the lit fireplace.
“This is going to be a challenge” she said, with a gloomy voice.
Alice smiled and joined her by the fireplace. She sat on the arm of the armchair. “Luckily you don’t tire easily, do you?”
Larissa turned her attention to her and returned her smile, she shook her head slowly, then she sighed, happily.
That’s when a blue butterfly entered the office and landed on the tip of Alice’s nose.
Larissa smiled fondly, but Alice’s big glassy eyes became filled with anger and shame. “It’s the Hyde” she said. “They’ve found a body near the school grounds this morning. The victim was a normie. The sheriff told the papers he was attacked by a bear… but he believes the killer is an outcast” her voice trembled; she tried to calm herself. “I’m sorry, I can’t summon the Jabberwock yet, it’s too dangerous… we can’t have two rabid monsters on the lose” the butterfly flew away and disappeared, Alice felt immediately colder.
Larissa nodded, she reached forward and hugged Alice, bringing her into her lap. She curled up, sighing defiantly. “My only job is to hunt the Hyde and I can’t even find one damn clue about it…”
“Actually, you’re also working a full-time job as my assistant and you’re doing a great job at it; you’re patrolling the school grounds with your creatures, and the Hyde and its master are clearly more than one step ahead of us” Larissa started caressing Alice’s head and placed a kiss on top of her raven hair. “The victim was a normie… we can still pretend this isn’t connected to us, but it won’t take long…” she said. “Let’s go about our day. Let’s pretend everything is okay, see how things develop. You’ll send another sentinel in search of more clues tonight”.
* ˚ ✦
“She arrived yesterday, and someone already tried to kill her…” Alice looked up from her desk, she was playing Candy Crush on her phone. A student had pushed a gargoyle towards Wednesday Addams, luckily another student was there to help her.
Larissa was pacing her office back and forth, with her hands on her hips. She was fuming. “And you’re positive the student was Rowas Laslow?” she asked.
Alice nodded, eyes glued to the screen of her phone. “Jim the Hare saw him from the balcony. He was hopping around in the hopes of catching a talking gargoyle that could give him clues about the Hyde…”
Larissa sighed and finally stopped marching around. “I’ll have a chat with his father. Meanwhile, please, send someone to keep an eye on him… discreetly”.
“On it”! Alice smiled happily, she abandoned her phone on her desk as she closed her eyes. She had a few friends that could help. Wonderland was filled with many faithful creatures. This one was a job for Bill the Lizard.
When Larissa spoke to Rowan’s father, she found out that his behaviour had been erratic for a while, now.
Bill the Lizard, on the other hand, was pushed off a window while he was trying to spy on Wednesday and he didn't even see who had done it.
The arrangements for the Poe Cup were nowhere near to be finished and Alice had a long way to go…
The next day Larissa drove Wednesday to Doctor Kinbott, which gave Alice a few spare hours to set up everything. Of course she ended up scrolling through her phone, looking for films to watch in the nearby theatres.
At some point, she completely forgot about Wednesday and her doctor appointment.
She phoned Larissa with a smile on her face.
“Guess what!?”
“What?”
“They’re going to show the Grinch at the cinema this Saturday!” Alice squirmed with joy. She loved Christmas spirit.
“On Saturday, I can do after lunch. Sometime around four o’clock?”
Alice checked the schedules. “That’s perfect! We can watch the film and then join the Harvest Festival from there!”
Larissa smiled. “It’s a date… I mean… it’s… you can fix the appointment in my calendar. I have to go, now…”
The moment they hung up, Alice squirmed. “It’s a date!” she repeated, happily.
* ˚ ✦
About an hour later, Larissa was furiously marching in her office, blabbering about how Wednesday Addams sneaked out of the doctor’s office and knocked out three boys… ending up in the Sheriff’s black book.
“I thought you were supposed to prevent any attempt of escape?” Alice was confused but the deadly glance that she received from Larissa was enough to shut her up.
“I think she’s had a vision…” she said through gritted teeth.
“What do you mean?”
“We passed by a car accident and she knew how the driver had died. Her mother started having visions around the same age… Morticia though she was going insane” Larissa explained, trying to calm herself. What was done was done. There was still work to do…
“Did she tell you about her vision?”
Larissa scoffed. “Obviously not. She doesn’t trust me, but it doesn’t matter. We have to be very careful, we have to keep our eyes open, and—”
“You were the one who lost her…” Alice pointed out, naively.
“Yes, and it won’t happen again. Now. For the Poe Cup, is everything ready?”
* ˚ ✦
Saturday came and Alice tried to dress cute for her date. A little different from her usual attire, a bit more elegant. She was going to the cinema! Yes… the film was the Grinch, but her date was Larissa Weems!
And she was gorgeous… she looked like a diva from the 1950s. Alice’s heart started beating furiously in her chest when she saw her.
“You look amazing!” she kissed her cheek and locked their arms together.
“You too, dear” Larissa replied with a warm smile, as they entered.
Once the film was over, the two of them where chuckling and talking but they knew they had work to do…
The Harvest Fest was about to start and they had to supervise the whole ordeal.
Alice loved fairs, she wanted to have fun… “Please!” she begged Larissa. “Can I go play Whack-A-Mole? Look at those prizes! I’ll win you a unicorn! I’m great at whacking moles! You'll see!”
And with that, Alice was gone.
Larissa was left alone, with a teenager to supervise and an empty stomach.
She sighed, trying to look for Wednesday. She finally found her and sat a few feet away from her and her friend. She ordered a burger, and she hoped Alice wasn’t causing any trouble atthe Whack-A-Mole station.
After a while a boy approached her with a giant panda toy that said “I love you” and she smiled — she actually blushed a little, Alice said she was going to win her a unicorn but that panda was also very cute!
“What the hell is this monstrosity!?” Alice voice boomed behind the poor boy who jumped, holding the panda.
Alice was holding two enormous stuffed unicorns, she placed them in front of Larissa, grinning proudly. “I told you I would win these for you!” then she turned to the panda-boy. “Go away! Nobody wants that stupid panda!”
“But the girl said it was for…” he stammered, awkwardly.
Larissa’s eyes went wide as her head snapped toward the station where Wednesday was playing earlier. She wasn’t there any more. Larissa put down the half eaten hamburger and her facial expression turned frightening. Panda-boy fled.
Alice sighed, crossing her arms on her chest. “I can’t believe you lost her again!”
“You—” Larissa stood up, towering over Alice and she didn’t even blink, “summon one of your creatures, we need to find her!”
Alice pointed in a general direction and Larissa noticed a fat white rabbit running around, searching the place. “Relax… Wednesday is not the problem. Fred told me she overheard that boy Rowan saying weird things to his father on the phone. We should look for him”.
“Let’s split up…” Larissa seemed preoccupied, her anger gone in an instant.
Alice nodded, she took one of her hands in hers. “It’s okay… they’ll be fine!”
But she was wrong. She was completely wrong. Rowan went utterly bonkers and tried to kill Wednesday again, Fred couldn’t do anything about it. He tried to call Alice and when she arrived she witnessed The Hyde killing Rowan in front of Wednesday. Thankfully, both Fred and Alice stayed well hidden and when Wednesday ran away to call for help, Alice took out her phone to call Larissa.
“We need to move fast” she said, her breathing laboured, “Rowan is dead, the Hyde killed him but he was trying to kill Wednesday… I can take his body somewhere else, but you need to call his father right now”.
Alice summoned a white knight to help her with the dead body, together they returned to the Academy; together with Larissa and Miss Thornhill they hid the corpse in the greenhouse, until Rowan’s father came to collect him.
As they all suspected, Rowan’s father confirmed that the boy had already lost his mind, and together they came up with a plan to save the boy’s name, his family and the school’s reputation.
The fact that nobody knew there was a Hyde on the loose was a plus for Alice.
Once Rowan’s dad left and Miss Thornhill was back in her room, Alice joined Larissa in her quarters. She found her in her nightclothes, drinking a glass of red wine.
“We’re going to have to convince a lot of people, tomorrow…” she said, her voice sounded tired. Her face seemed tired… she looked so different from the happy Larissa Alice experienced while they were at the cinema. She put the glass down on a big round table.
Larissa’s room was big and luxurious. Just as Alice expected.
The younger woman tried approaching her with a soft smile. “It’s going to be fine…” she said. She cupped Larissa’s face with both hands and kissed her lips softly. “You’ve already talked to Rowan’s dad, the sheriff won’t find anything in the woods, the school and the students are safe, for now. Let me do my job… I’ll start my research tomorrow, I might not be able to summon a Jabberwock, yet, but I can look for clues…”
Larissa nodded, a light flush appeared on her chest when Alice kissed her. “Would you stay with me? I don’t think I’d be able to fall asleep by myself after what happen tonight…”
Alice smiled. “Of course, I’ll go get my things and come back immediately”.
She only brought her fluffy pyjama and her toothbrush, then she rushed back to Larissa’s room.
She found Larissa already under the covers, she looked so tiny under there…
Alice went to the bathroom and changed her clothes, then she climbed up onto the bed; she hugged Larissa from behind, holding her tightly. She placed a featherweight kiss to the back of her neck, earning a happy sigh from the older woman.
They both fell asleep almost immediately, lulled by each other’s breathing.
Pushing Towards You
Chapter 22: Rave'N
Tumblr media
There was Larissa. Sitting in her armchair, in her masculine form, panting. Since Rebeca's visit, that scene had become commonplace. She needed to become intimate with her own body before she could introduce it to Calista. Truth be told, her male body. Years had passed since the last time Larissa had transformed into her male self. She didn't feel comfortable, but the desire to have a child with Calista was greater.
Sighing, she looked at the clock; it was almost time for her meeting with Gaia. They would start planning Rave'N. Getting up from the chair, Larissa went to her quarters to clean up. It was getting more complex every day to do it alone; Larissa was not a teenager who got turned on for any reason, and time was passing for her and Calista.
As she washed, she wondered why she hadn't included Calista initially. The answer was simple: shame and fear. She was ashamed of Calista seeing her male form and afraid that this new form would be more attractive than the original. She spent years perfecting her masculine self, trying to modify every feature of her body that she didn't like, creating an entirely new person. It was still possible to recognize Larissa, but the insecurity was evident when she transformed.
Larissa looked in the mirror, undressed and still in her male form. Would Calista like it? She wondered. Would she like me more as a man? Sighing deeply, she returned to her original form, dressed, and returned to her room. She had just decided that it was time for Calista to meet her male self when there was a knock on the door. Gaia arrived for the meeting with Larissa.
------
Patiently, Calista waited for Larissa.
A few weeks had passed since she and Larissa learned to conceive a child together. Despite not putting pressure on her loved one, Calista felt frustrated for not participating in the initial project. She knew that Larissa was insecure about herself, and that wouldn't change even if she were in her male form. In this way, she avoided bringing up the subject to give the principal more space but lived in anticipation of the day things would change.
When the idea of having a child was suggested, Calista was not prepared to get pregnant again after years. She and Larissa had resumed their relationship not long ago; the city was new, the routine was new, and the work was new. With the number of changes Calista had gone through, pregnancy was not part of her plans. But now everything has changed. Now, she finds herself planning the arrival of this child. But before Calista could say anything to Larissa, she found a package of condoms in a shared drawer.
"Honey, I thought the intention was for me to get pregnant," Calista said, showing the newly found package.
Larissa was in the kitchen, preparing dinner, and had to turn around to see what Calista was talking about when she saw the package of condoms hanging in the air.
"That's the intention." She said. "But I don't want you to get pregnant while I'm in my male form."
Calista left the package on the counter and went to Larissa, hugging her from behind. She felt Larissa's body relaxing slightly on top of hers.
"Does this mean you're ready to include me?" Calista asked with a smile.
"Yes, darling. Let's do this." Larissa kissed Calista's forehead and turned her attention to the stove.
Calista remained there, hugging Larissa for a few more seconds before turning around and returning to the bedroom to put the condoms back in the drawer.
After dinner, Calista was sitting on the sofa with her legs on Larissa's lap, reading a book, when she noticed the director looking around the apartment, lost in thought.
"What are you looking for, Riss?" Calista asked.
"We need to buy a house," Larissa replied distractedly.
Calista frowned, marked the page she had stopped on, and left the book on the coffee table. Crawling onto Larissa's lap, she made herself comfortable and wrapped the hands around her neck.
"Tell me what's on your mind, love," Calista said, resting her head on Larissa's shoulder.
"The apartment is cozy. But it's not ours and not big enough for the two of us, Artemis and another child." Larissa pondered, hugging Calista around the waist.
Larissa wanted to buy a house in Jericho because it was well located for both her and Calista to go to work. For her, the house should have at least three bedrooms and a backyard; she insisted on a backyard. Artemis should have her room on school holidays or whenever she wants to sleep at home.
Larissa described in detail the type of house she would like to have. It seemed like she had been planning this all her life, even though she wasn't sure if she would ever start a family. Calista listened in amazement and could imagine their house just by listening to Larissa speak.
"You look sexy when you behave like a head of the family." Calista joked.
"You think?" Larissa smiled, straightening up.
Calista laughed and nodded, biting her lip. Slowly, she adjusted herself on Larissa's lap, placing one leg on each side of her hips, straddling her. Larissa's hands were already smoothing Calista's back underneath her t-shirt, and her mouth was already moving towards Calista's.
Larissa got up, carrying Calista in her arms without breaking the kiss, and took her to the bedroom. Calista lay down in the middle of the bed and leaned on her elbows to watch Larissa slowly take off her clothes in front of the bed. She wanted to shift in front of Calista so as not to be awkward when entering the room as a completely different person.
Calista watched in silence a naked Larissa who, in a sigh, gave way to a man who was also blond with blue eyes but considerably shorter. Larissa has always had a problem with her height, so it was natural that she wanted to change this feature. The male version had narrow hips and broad shoulders, discreetly muscular but tending towards a leaner profile. Larissa also had a problem with her weight.
The scar on his lips was still there. The thin and long fingers were also present, now without nail polish. The male version of Larissa was just as beautiful as her original form. Calista probably let that thought show because Larissa quickly started trying to cover herself with her hands, blushing slightly.
Calista walked on her knees to the edge of the bed and reached out to Larissa, pulling her close. Calista smoothed Larissa's body, running her hands over her chest and abdomen. Larissa instinctively let her arms fall to her sides and closed her eyes, feeling Calista's touch travel through her body. A shiver ran down her spine when Calista's lips touched her collarbone.
"You are beautiful, my love." Calista whispered repeatedly as she kissed Larissa's body, moving up her neck and ending at her mouth.
Calista kissed Larissa intensely, closing her fingers in the other woman's short platinum blonde hair. Larissa grunted into the kiss and pulled Calista by the waist. Calista could feel Larissa's erection in her lower parts now that the heights were compatible.
Slowly, Larissa undressed Calista without letting their mouths move apart. Before getting into bed, Larissa took a condom from the dresser drawer. She found that extremely strange; they never needed it. But now the purpose was different, so Larissa sighed and climbed onto the bed, crawling over to Calista, who kept her eyes on Larissa the whole time.
------
Calista woke up the next day next to Larissa in her original form. The woman was fast asleep. Shifting just one part of the body was tiring; doing it with the entire body and combining it with aerobic physical activity was exhausting. Before bed, Calista made a cup of hot chocolate for a panting and sweaty Larissa.
Sneaking out of bed, Calista picked up the remains of the previous night from the floor and headed sleepily to the bathroom to shower. She was a little more sore than usual. Shifting to a man increased Larissa's strength and body mass, as well as her sexual drive. Thus, Calista had to adapt to the new style.
Larissa was still sleeping when Calista got out of the shower, indicating that the energy expenditure was more significant than intended. Not hungry, Calista lay on the couch and flipped between television channels without paying attention, letting time pass and waiting until Larissa woke up.
It wasn't long until Larissa appeared in the room, still in her pajamas and messy hair—a very peculiar image for Calista. Larissa was always tidy. But not this time. She looked tired and unconcerned about her appearance but, at the same time, relaxed. She got under Calista, letting the other lie on top of her, kissed the crown of her head, and dozed off. Calista stayed there. She was lying on top of Larissa, watching something on television and listening to her low, calm breathing.
It took another forty minutes until Larissa was fully awake. It was still early for Calista, but by Larissa's standards, it was already late. It wasn't a work day, but she still liked getting up early. However, that day, she was lazy, and Calista wanted to take the opportunity to spend a peaceful and relaxing day with Larissa.
"Eat, my love. You need to replenish your energy." Calista prepared breakfast with more food than usual—eggs, bacon, bread, butter, hot chocolate - of course - and many other things.
"I thought you didn't like cooking." Larissa's eyes widened as she took her first bite of bacon and eggs. It was delicious, and she felt her body reinvigorate.
"Not liking to cook doesn't mean I don't know how." She smiled and received a smile and a nod in response as Larissa helped herself to hot chocolate. "How are you feeling?"
Larissa shrugged. "Exhausted. I didn't expect to have my energy drained like this."
"Have you ever done this before?" Calista asked casually but with a hint of jealousy.
"Shifting for sex?" Larissa's eyes widened. "At university, those who didn't stay away from me because I was an outcast approached me to do personal experiments with me. At first, I gave in, of course. Then, it became too depressing. It's been a while since I tried that."
Jealousy gave way to anger. Calista became extremely angry when she found out people were approaching Larissa to use her in some way. She couldn't understand or imagine how people didn't appreciate her like Calista did.
"Riss, we don't need to do it this way if it brings back bad memories or makes you feel out of place." Calista held Larissa's hand and looked into her eyes. "You can keep trying on your own. I can wait as long as it takes."
Larissa shook her head, took Calista's hand to her mouth, and kissed her knuckles. "You're not abusing me or using me, Lis. Don't worry. Last night was wonderful—just a little more exhausting than I imagined." She smiled.
"Do you think it worked?" Calista didn't understand shapeshifting, but Larissa and Artemis have said several times that they simply know because they are always aware of their bodies.
"I believe so." Larissa bent her head thoughtfully as if trying to access her body's deepest parts. "It was a new feeling. Maybe a few more tries before I need to test it."
"Test it?" Calista frowned, confused.
"Yes... Well." Larissa seemed slightly annoyed at the idea. "Rebeca sent me a message a few days ago and said that the best way to make sure the shift was complete was to do a spermogram. So that we don't live in anticipation of your pregnancy."
Calista laughed. "So, you're going to have to march into a lab and just jerk off into a cup?" She was clearly having fun with the idea.
Larissa pursed her lips. "Well, that's not a delicate way of putting it, but yes, that's exactly what I need to do."
"Oh, honey. I'm sorry you had to put yourself through this." Calista was having fun. She tried to hide her smirk. "But I can give you a hand if you want." She winked.
Larissa narrowed her eyes and squeezed her lips, trying to hide her smile due to Calista's sarcasm. "I think I can handle it, thank you. But I shall give you a call if I need to." She finally smiled.
------
Over the months, Larissa took turns spending the night with Calista in her male form and taking care of business alone during the day at the office. This way, she got a few free nights in her original form.
Organizing Rave'N was on the back burner on her agenda. Gaia was excited about the planning. She and Professor Mitchell would chaperone the dance that year, leaving Larissa free to enjoy the night. Thus, the principal's participation was only to authorize the purchase of supplies and materials according to the established budget.
"You are doing an excellent job, Gaia." Larissa was at her desk, signing some papers at the end of another meeting for the Rave'N organization.
"I appreciate the trust." Gaia smiled when she received the compliment.
"You should ask Miss Micthell to the ball." Larissa suggested returning the documents.
"Perhaps." Gaia looked thoughtful. "We're going to chaperone; I don't know if that would be appropriate."
"I don't see what the problem would be, but it's up to you," Larissa smiled.
Larissa could enjoy the ball for the first time since she was a student, so she would invite Calista to accompany her. Their last Rave'N as students did not end as expected, with the murder charge against Gomez Addams and a fight between her and Calista.
"I imagine you'll be coming with Calista, right?" Gaia was getting up from her seat to leave.
"I believe so. For some reason, I'm nervous about asking her to be my date." Larissa leaned back in her chair and raised her eyebrows.
"I think it's the memories of the past," Gaia suggested. "But don't worry. She agreed to marry you. Rave'N is nothing close to that." Winking, she left, closing the door behind her.
She has a point. Larissa thought. I'm going to talk to Calista tonight.
------
"Artemis texted me earlier." Calista was cuddling with Larissa on the sofa after dinner with a glass of wine in her hand. "She wants to go shopping on Saturday to buy her Rave'N dress."
That was Larissa's cue. She sought to talk about the ball without being too casual or clingy. For some reason, she could feel butterflies in her stomach whenever she thought about mentioning it.
"Talking about that..." Larissa looked down at Calista and scratched her scalp. I won't chaperone the ball this year, so I was wondering if you would like to go on a date. Our last Rave'N didn't end as planned." She was feeling eager. Why was she feeling eager? It was just a school ball, for God's sake!
A bright smile was forming on Calista's face. "Of course I would, Riss." She could already imagine both of them together, finally, at the Rave'N.
Larissa breathed a sigh of relief and only then realized she was holding her breath, waiting for Calista's response. She knew she would get a yes answer, but that didn't lessen her anxiety when asking the question. "I think I'm going to need a dress, too," she heard Calista say as she imagined what it would be like their night. "Artemis will like to help you choose it." She finally responded by returning to reality and smiling at Calista.
That was one of many topics on Larissa's mind. Another was making a silent noise in her mind. The next day, Larissa would go to a laboratory to check if the shifting worked. She didn't want to comment with Calista so that expectations wouldn't be generated, and she was eventually frustrated. But simultaneously, she felt terrible about hiding this moment from the most important person in her life.
"If it's not you, who will chaperone the ball this year?" Calista asked, breaking Larissa out of her thoughts.
"Gaia and Miss Mitchell." Larissa left the other topic aside and enjoyed the day with Calista.
"Gaia is well involved in Nevermore's affairs." Calista adjusted herself, lifting her head to look at Larissa.
"She is extremely competent and interested," Larissa commented. "For me, that's great. I don't intend to be a director for the rest of my life. Who knows, maybe she can take on that role later on."
"Do you intend to leave the directorship of the Academy?" This was news to Calista and surprised her on several levels. She knew how much Larissa loved school. "But you love that place."
"Indeed, my darling." Larissa agreed, looking into Calista's eyes. "I can go back to teaching. I'll have more free time for our family."
Calista didn't respond to it but wrapped her arms around Larissa and hugged her tight. Knowing that Larissa was willing to give up this position to dedicate herself to this new life gave Calista more certainty that the choice to get married and have a child was right.
"Thank you for that," Calista whispered in Larissa's ear, tickling her.
"For what, my love?" Larissa flinched briefly and closed her eyes as she felt the warm air in her ear.
"Giving up so much for us." She rested her head on Larissa's neck.
"I appreciate you allowing me to choose to do this," Larissa replied softly.
"The pleasure is mine." Calista giggled and gently kissed Larissa's lips.
Larissa reacted to the kiss, intensifying it and wrapping her arms around Calista's waist, pulling her close to her body. Calista happily consented to the tug.
"Bed. Now. No shifting today." Calista said between kisses.
"Yes, ma'am." Larissa laughed, jumping up and carrying Calista in her arms.
------
"You still haven't told me who you're going to the dance with," Calista asked Artemis as they walked through the aisles of a clothing store, looking for suitable dresses.
"Xavier," Artemis replied almost in a whisper, avoiding her mother's eyes. The girl was blushing heavily.
"No need to be shy!" Calista smiled, putting her arm around her daughter's waist. "He seems to be nice."
"It's not shyness." Artemis put her arm around her mother's shoulder. Now, they were walking side by side, synchronized. "It's nerves. I don't know. It's the first time someone has asked me to a dance. It's actually my first dance."
The girl's uneasiness was palpable. Before Nevermore, Artemis had no friends and, as such, was always absent from school gatherings. Calista wanted her daughter's first dance to be unforgettable, so she did her best to find the most beautiful dress. Furthermore, she wanted to know a little more about Xavier; after all, the boy's behavior would be decisive for a pleasant and memorable experience.
"So, tell me more about this boy, Xavier, what he's like?"
"He's fine." And the blush on Artemis's cheek was back. "He's quiet, he doesn't talk much, but he's curious. He likes to know what my life was like before school."
"What else?" Calista thought it was a good start for Xavier to be interested in Artemis.
"Hmm...let me see," Artemis pondered as she looked among the hangers and mannequins. He has psychic abilities, practices archery, and fencing, and is an artist. He is very good at painting and sketching. Enid often says he is a solitary artist."
"Artist? Interesting." Calista kept this information; an idea was already forming in her head. "But what about how he is with you? Besides being curious, how does he treat you?"
"He's always asking me how things are going and if I'm adapting. He offers me help with my studies. So, I think he treats me well, right?" Artemis looked for a response from Calista with a doubtful and anxious look.
"It's a good start," Calista reassured. "The important thing is that he respects who you are and that you feel good about him. And if you need anything, your mother and I will always be here."
"I know that. I appreciate it..." The girl stopped suddenly in front of a mannequin. Calista immediately knew this would be the perfect dress for a perfect night.
------
Larissa sat in an armchair in a small, dimly lit room with a small plastic pot in her right hand. A television was waiting to be turned on on the wall in front of her, and below it was a shelf with magazines to be leafed through. She had been led to this room minutes before by a male nurse with clear instructions on how to collect the sample for a spermogram. She was shifted into her masculine self, so it didn't even occur to the nurse that she was the school's principal for outcasts.
Alone in the small room of the clinical laboratory, Larissa returned to her natural shape, keeping only the complete male reproductive system shifted. It was a strange and slightly embarrassing feeling, but no one else knew she was there, so she grabbed the remote control, turned on the television, and flipped through the erotic channels until she found something that could help her. It would have been easier if Calista had been with her.
------
Finally, Rave'N night arrived. Calista had been anxious ever since Larissa asked her to the dance. Their last Rave'N had ended very badly, culminating in years of separation. But this time, everything was different. She and Larissa were back together, getting married, and even planning to have a child. Still, the memory of her adolescence caused her anxiety.
Even though Larissa didn't chaperone the dance, she and Calista decided to get ready in their rooms in Nevermore so they could be among the first to arrive. This way, Larissa could be available if Gaia and Samantha needed help. Deep down, she wishes they didn't need her because she would like to dedicate the night to Calista. However, as a principal, she must make herself ready to take action for setbacks.
Calista waited in Larissa's office while she waited for the other woman to finish getting ready. She was always faster than the future wife. That night, Calista, in fact, chose a dress, put on makeup, and did her hair. Larissa could simply shift into her party outfit, but keeping it shifted all night would take energy—energy that Larissa planned to spend otherwise. Therefore, Calista had to wait for Larissa almost 30 minutes after finishing getting ready. But the wait was worth it. Larissa looked beautiful in a blue dress that matched her eyes.
It was as if they were back in their teens, and this was their first Rave'N. Calista and Larissa arrived at the ballroom with a small group of students just as the dance began. Before they even looked for a table to sit down, Larissa went to Gaia and Samantha, praised the organization of the dance, and told them not to hesitate to call her if they needed it. Meanwhile, Calista awaited Larissa's return and looked around the hall, admiring the work done by Gaia and looking for Artemis.
The girl arrived arm in arm with Xavier. She was radiant. As soon as her eyes met his mother's, she poked the boy in the ribs and whispered something in his ear. The boy then nodded with a smile, and the two went towards Calista and Larissa.
"Hi, Mom. Hi, Director Weems." Artemis was visibly embarrassed and wanted to make that conversation as short as possible.
"Artemis! You look beautiful, darling." Larissa said with a smile. "And you look very elegant, Mr. Thorpe."
"Xavier, we haven't been properly introduced." Calista held out her hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Calista, mother of Artemis."
"Hello, Mrs. Cos'Anto. It's my pleasure to meet you." The boy smiled at Calista.
"Artemis told me that you are an artist who paints pictures. Do you take orders?" This question surprised Artemis and Larissa, who looked at each other, looking for an explanation.
"Sure, why not?" The boy was restless about pleasing his prom date's mother.
"Great! So, we'll talk another time. You'll have fun." Calista smiled at an increasingly confused Artemis and dismissed them both.
"What are you up to, Lis?" Larissa asked, hugging Calista from behind and resting her cheek on the other's head.
"Me? Nothing! I'm just testing the boy's skills." Calista dodged the question, turned on her feet, faced Larissa, and passed her hand behind her neck. "Shall we dance, Miss Weems?"
Larissa decided not to press any further and smiled. "Let's dance, Mrs. Cos'Anto!"
After a traumatizing first, Rave'N, Calista, and Larissa were finally able to have fun even though they were no longer students, they danced all night, and Larissa forgot for a few hours about her responsibilities towards the Academy, even though many students greeted her warmly when they passed her. Before the night ended, Larissa thanked Gaia again for her efforts in organizing the event. Everything had gone very well. The students and teachers had fun, and there were no incidents like the previous year.
"Why don't you take advantage of the room's emptiness and ask Miss Mitchell for the last dance?" Larissa suggested before leaving.
"Would she accept?" Gaia asked, biting her lip in uncertainty.
"Something tells me yes." Larissa looked towards the corner of the room and saw Samantha looking at the two of them expectantly. Gaia followed Larissa's gaze and met Samantha's.
"Have a great end to the night, professors." Larissa smiled and went to join Calista, who was waiting for her at the room's exit.
Larissa and Calista walked through the halls of Nevermore hand in hand towards Larissa's quarters, talking about Rave'N.
"Thanks for the night, Riss," Calista said, sitting on the edge of the bed and removing her heels. "I am exhausted."
"Oh yeah? I was wondering if we could start our little project tonight." Larissa insinuated, starting to take off her dress.
"Project? Are you talking about having a baby?" A smile appeared at the corner of Calista's mouth as she understood what Larissa meant. "Don't you need to do the test first? To check if the shifting worked."
"It turns out I already did." Larissa let her dress fall to the floor, revealing her feminine body with only her sex entirely shifted. "The results came back today, and we are ready to try to have a baby."
"So, it looks like we won't be sleeping tonight." Calista stretched out her arms to welcome Larissa, kissing her passionately and taking her to bed.
Chapter 2 (What's Settled?)
SUMMARY
The first few months of your relationship were going well until something shifted.
The first few months of your relationship were going well until something shifted. She shifted... into another woman, and flirts with you. When she shifted back to her true self she would ask you all sorts of questions, almost as if she's interrogating you- trying to catch you in a lie, but to her dismay, or pleasure, or whatever, you had always told her everything truthfully.
Your relationship with Larissa had become complicated. You have an off again on again thing with her. You don't know what scarred her so bad that she would break your heart as if it were so easily healed.
*
Larissa and Morticia had a thing back when they were still students at nevermore.
Whatever that thing is, it broke Larissa in the most painful and invisible way, and the scars will come to bite her in the ass in the most heart shattering way.
They had the best of times together, but Morticia slowly lost time for Larissa.
When Morticia announced that she and gomez were in a relationship... Larissa's heart shattered into tiny pieces coursing through her body like shards of broken glass digging and cutting at her insides.
She had to put up a wall so as to never let it happen again.
Whatever that thing Larissa and Morticia had had ended.
And it only became clear to Larissa that it was one sided-- whatever it was she thought they both felt was actually unrequited.
*
Whatever it is she's doing now is just her trying to protect her even more fragile heart, also to make sure you keep your promise.
You know how badly she was scarred, that's why you  understand why she does what she's doing. Little did you know it will cost you your heart as well...
Larissa had scarred you in the most pleasant and unpleasant way.
She doesn't know why she's doing this and what she would get out of all this. Her insecurities and doubts took hold of her.
-
"Why do you have to be so young?" Larissa would often ask you, and you would reply with "I'm not too young. You're not too old. We are just right, baby... We're perfect for each other."
She would believe those words for some time, but when some nosy people brought up your age gap- she would need reassurances, and you would always be there for that.
But when phrases and sentences are continuously used, endlessly repeated-- it would eventually lose its meaning, no? Her doubts would grow, and she could only think that you would somehow grow tired of her too.
"How can someone so fucking beautiful and wonderful care about what other people think? You are a goddess amongst us mere mortals. I don't understand why you give a damn about them." You argued.
She answered, "Well, my partner is also a goddess herself. How can I not? When she could change her mind any minute of every hour?"
You were on the verge of tears. You can't fathom how someone as mesmerizing as she is would be insecure about something so trivial as your age gap.
You want to cry, but instead chuckled at her declaration. You saunter to close the distance between the two of you, and pull her into your arms to give her that much needed embrace along with more words of reassurances. "My love. Please see yourself as I see you. You're the only one I need, and the only one I will ever truly need. You're the most precious person to me, and I could not even bear the thought of losing you, let alone abandon you."
Larissa hummed at the nook of your neck as you hugged her tighter.
And if words aren't enough... well, then you just have to show her.
--
"We're actually in an exclusive and closed relationship." You told the other woman, and she breaks out in a boisterous laugh. She saw how you tensed up and how Larissa's grip on your waists tightened; her laugh turned into an awkward chuckle, and she scoffed, "seriously?" She questioned, and you just nodded as a response while you looked lovingly at Larissa. "The 'succubus' in a monogamous and closed relationship. Wow!" She exclaimed.
'The nerve of this woman.' You thought to yourself.
She grinned from ear to ear and gave an unwanted comment to Larissa, "I don't know what you got that every woman she'd ever been with doesn't... Must be good enough to sate and satisfy the sex hungry that she is."
You rolled your eyes, "Okay, we're done here... let's go babe."
As you walk away the woman shouted, "I meant that as a compliment."
You told Larissa that you jump from girlfriend to girlfriend and that you never entertain the idea of dating exclusively until you met her.
"Alright then-- that's settled." Larissa leaned back on the couch as she sighed.
"What's settled?" You leaned forward to her direction as your hand found home on her thighs.
She replied, "Nothing." She looked away, and you squeezed her thigh softly to make her look at you and that she did.
As your gaze held each other, you told her, "Come on, gorgeous. I'm not a mind reader... tell me what's bothering you."
Larissa sighed and spoke, "have you been sleeping with other women while you were dating me?" She released a breath she didn't know she were holding.
You inhaled deeply and moved closer to her. "No. Never. Of course I haven't." Your hands moved to cup her cheeks, and you caress them with your thumb.
Larissa looked into your eyes and saw no lies in them.
"I get why you would think that given my track record, but I assure you- I have not slept with other women nor think of doing so ever since we got together." You remarked, and you give her a kiss to which she desperately accepted.
After a passionate kiss. "I apologise for that my darling, it was silly of me to think that you were--" Larissa remarked, but before she can finish her thought you cut her off.
"It wasn't silly at all. I understand why you would think that. I know just the thing to help erase all the worries in your head." You declared and signalled her to straddle your lap. "You, Larissa Weems, is the only one for me. And you're more than enough. I am so grateful, and I feel so lucky I get to have you." You added and give her a quick peck on her plump lips. "Larissa Weems. You are everything I never thought I needed and more." You exclaimed, which made her grin widely.
If those words weren't enough to ease her mind; you'll have to just show her again.
---
Someone had asked you infront of Larissa once again...One would find this funny, yet they wouldn't be able to laugh because of how cruel it is-- that someone had mentioned your age gap one more time.
"That's it. I can't do this anymore." Larissa said as she stood.
You look at her with confusion written in your face, "can't do what, babe?"
Larissa's voice is laced with anger and sadness as she replies, "This..." She points her pointer finger to you then to herself back and front, and she continues to argue, "people asking you out infront of me. Maybe they were right!? Maybe you are indeed too young for me..."
"What!? Baby, please... not this again. I told you--" you try to reassure her, but she cuts you off.
"No. No more. This is not going to happen again and again. This is the last time." Larissa sighed.
You scoff and stand up to take her hand. You were in a flustered state. Your brows furrowed in understanding. You think you know where this is going, but still you asked, "what do you mean?"
Larissa took her hand from your grip, and she looked away... she took a deep breath and said, "I'm done. We're done."
"Okay. Let's go home." You remarked as you thought this can't be it; still trying to deny what's happening. 'This can't be it.' You thought to yourself.
Larissa replied, "no. There's no us-- not anymore. We're over." She starts to walk out the door...
Your jaw clenched, and you thought, "no freaking way." You got infront of her to try and stop her, "you can't be serious... are you serious?"
"I am." Larissa answered in a monotone voice.
Your eyes filled with tears, and it broke Larissa seeing you like this, and she knows she's the reason why. 'Maybe I didn't think this through.' She thought to herself.
"Darling love, please... don't go." You begged her.
Larissa shoved you gently out of the way, "please, don't make this harder than it already is." With that, she's out the door and out of your life as well.
You can't believe what just happened. You want to follow her, but your feet are glued to the ground. You gaze around the café and realised that everyone is watching you, and you growled to no one and everyone at the same time, "Fucking hell! Am I right?" Then you start to break down on the floor.
After a few minutes, the tears have dried, and you definitely need to get out of here.
You let a day pass until you decided to get your girl back.
Your knock echoes loudly within Larissa's space, and when she opens the door and sees you, she says as if she were expecting you, "are you here to get your things back?"
You didn't answer her question, but instead question her in turn. "May I come in?"
She moved aside signaling you to come in.
After a moment of comfortable yet tense silence, you start to speak as you stare into her eyes, "the only thing I came to get back here... is you."
"Darling, I--" Larissa tried to speak.
But you quickly cut her off, "Larissa dear, just listen to me, and if you want me to go after, I will."
"Sure." She replied.
You follow her on the sofa, and as you lovingly look at her, you can tell that she had been crying too.
You took her hands into yours, and as you hold it, you declared, "correct me if I'm wrong, but I know you didn't mean what you said back then. I understand that you were hurting. This can't be over... we can't be over. I can't go another day without you, and is it cruel that I hope you do too? Please, honey... Larissa Weems, take me back."
You let Larissa think for a moment, but after a while of staring into anything but you... you get her point. You nod yourself in understanding.
As you stand, Larissa uttered the words you've been aching to hear. "Yes." She said softly.
The tears that have been threatening to fall make good on that threat. You break down in tears, and as you come to hug her, you see that she is crying as well. You both missed each other so much.
You both hugged each other tightly and sighed simultaneously in relief.
You stayed cuddled, and you both fell asleep at the warmth of each other's embrace.
----
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?" You muttered at the scene unfolding before you.
Larissa is as shocked as you are. You aren't supposed to find out, at least not this way. Plus, your wounds are still fresh.
Fate is such a cruel thing sometimes, isn't it?
You look at her with wide eyes; too stunned to speak. You try to form words, but you just can't.
Larissa heaves, and your eyes decided to follow her figure striding closer to you.
"Oh my god..." you were able to breathe out when she held your hands.
"I can explain." Larissa said frantically.
You huffed, "there's  no need to explain-- it's pretty obvious."
You can see Larissa moving her lips, but you can't hear a word she's saying. "Larissa, I can't hear a word you're saying. Give me a moment to let this sink in."
You didn't know how you got to the couch, and your hand just took the wine that was set infront of you. "I can't believe you would do something like that... to me---"
"Darling, please." Larissa pleads.
"Trying to catch me in a lie? When you're the one who has been lying. Shifting into another woman??? Then relentlessly flirts with me... and afterwards ask me all sorts of questions-- as Larissa. Why the hell would you do that?" You thought aloud.
"I don't know. I-- uh, I was just---" Larissa trailed off.
There was silence for far too long, and she couldn't take it anymore. "Say something, Darling." Larissa found you still in silence after her request.
"Well, I guess this is really it. I screwed everything up. I guess you would only want to be free of me, of my possessiveness... and my doubtfulness." Larissa whined.
From that, you finally look at her, "what? Don't put words in my mouth."
Larissa stands up, "if you want to break up with me, I-"
"Hell no! You are indeed doubtful and possessive, no doubt. I'm not going to break up with you. Never. I only feel free when I'm with you." You stood your ground and breath a sigh of relief, which Larissa returned.
After a while, you chuckled, and Larissa's eyebrows furrowed. 'This is no laughing matter,' she thought to herself. You both plopped down on the couch.
When you see her face and see her worries, you say, "I accept everything that you are. I hope to erase any doubts lingering in that magnificent brain of yours."
"I only did that because I love you too much." Larissa confessed.
"Larissa Weems, I assure you I'm all yours. All yours." You said and gave her forehead a kiss.
-----
The day Larissa had been dreading the most had finally come.
Just as she's about to fully trust you...
How cannot you do this to her? And in her own fucking home, in her own fucking bed. How could you? After letting you in... After everything she had confided in you. She was right to doubt you she thought, 'how fucking dare you?!?'
Larissa could not believe what was in front of her. Her ears are ringing, and even though she wanted so badly to scream- she just stood there frozen and only able to mutter a "Y/N?"
Even if it's barely above a whisper, she knew you heard her and see you shuffle in bed.
"Larissa?" She saw stand up quickly, and she saw that it made your head spin.
Larissa slowly walks away...
"Wait... Larissa--" she heard you call for her, but before you could say much-
"Oh great! The crazy old lady is here." The woman you're naked in bed with chuckled.
"The fuck did you just call her?" Larissa heard you said as she whipped her head to the other woman. Then she turns to face you, and scoffed, "as if you don't believe what she just said."
"Leave her already." The other woman butted once again.
After that-- Larissa's alarm broke her out of her nightmare.
She heaves as she lies, then she feels you pressed against her back, hugging her softly, and it helps calm her a little. She inhaled sharply.
You felt her move away, so you tightened your hold on her, "Don't go yet, sweetie."
She scoffed and whined "FUCK YOU!"
"Later... I'm still sleepy." You replied, oblivious of her actual meaning.
She stands up and walks back and forth just before the edge of the bed.
You slowly open your eyes to see where she went, and when you see the state that she was in; you decided to sit up as worry washes over you. "Honey, what's wrong?"
Larissa stops pacing, and just stares at you... After a moment, she growled and accused, "You're sleeping with someone else."
"What? Of course I'm not." You denied, "where is this coming from?"
"I saw you in that very bed naked with another woman..."
You stand up and move closer to Larissa, but when you see her back off, you halted. "That's absurb! It's completely impossible because I'm not really sleeping with anyone else. Where did you-"
"You need to go." Larissa commanded.
"No." You said sternly as you softly look at her, and this time, when you move closer, she didn't move away, and you were finally able to hold her hand.
Larissa just looks at you with an unreadable expression, but her eyes say everything that you need to know.
She's hurt, and the problem is she won't tell you.
"Just go Y/N." Larissa said as she looked away.
You let go of her hand, and scratch your furrowed brows. "I never even want or even try to sleep with other women ever since I saw you. Even if we're on a break or have broken up or whatever. You're all I needed."
"I don't know what else to say." Larissa sighed.
"You really trust other people more than me." You cried.
"it's not that..." She denied.
"Yeah! Yeah-- whatever you say." You move closer to her, and you cup her cheeks with the palm of your hands... while your forehead touches, "is this really it?" A tear fell from your eye.
"It is." Larissa confirmed.
Larissa moves to kiss you passionately, cause it is really the last time she will do so, you both thought.
The sobs you've been suppressing have been set free into the kiss. And when she pulled away, you couldn't help but sob harder. "Please don't make me leave. I need you, and I know you need me as much. Please- Larissa, my love, whatever the problem is, let's work and solve it out together. Please, Larissa, I don't want to be apart from you."
Larissa slowly turned and started to walk away without even looking back.
She left you sobbing alone. It's as if you died in that moment. If your heart is an actual glass, it would have shattered into a million pieces, and those tiny pieces would pierce you from the inside as it flows through your veins, making it hard to breathe... and live. This might be what death by a thousand cuts means. Only in your case, you're still breathing, even after a million cuts.
You may not see it, but Larissa feels the same, and if she turns her back and sees you in that state, she knows she'll run to embrace you. You don't know that she's as broken as you by her actions. All you know is that there's something inherently wrong with you that she doesn't want you anymore.
'This is your house... why the hell did you walk away.'
You waited for a week, but never once did she come back, not even for a set of clothes. 'I really need to go.'
With all the strength you have left you left, without bothering to get your things.
Capillaries Are Bursting (Ch.3)
Notes; No trigger warnings this go around, maybe? I tried for something a little light-hearted for this chapter, but I feel it's a mess. I hope you enjoy it anyway! All mistakes are mine!
Ch.1, Ch.2
Tumblr media
Rays of the morning sun lapped at the edges of the bed Larissa was sleeping in, highlighting the one leg hanging out from under the covers. Her alabaster skin glowed against the natural light clinging to it, highlighting the muscles of her calf. Her foot lightly twitched as her sleeping form shifted ever so slightly underneath the fluffy covers of the bed. Blue irises rolled slightly underneath fluttering eyelids, a clear indication that Larissa’s body had chosen to wake her up.
After a long moment of deciding whether she wanted to greet the day or not, a slight huff was elicited from the blonde’s lips as she finally opened her eyes. She immediately looked over to Roger’s side of the bed, turning her head to stare directly at the empty spot that greeted her. A relieved sigh escaped her as she found herself alone in her bed, a blessing in disguise.
It was rare to find her husband in the bed when she arose from slumber, and no complaints were to be found from Larissa on the matter. Any time she did find him there, it was sure to be a morning from hell. He never had a kind word to say anymore, so when he was there, she was immediately bombarded with complaints from Roger. Even now, as she lay in the middle of the bed, she could hear his words of discouragement in her head.
“Someone of your age should never be caught sleeping in this late.”
“You look utterly terrifying waking up like that.”
“Why don’t you finally get your ass out of bed and do something for once.”
“I can’t believe I have to wake up next to you every morning. I must have been mad wanting to marry you.”
His emotional abuse was neverending. Belittling word after belittling word was slung at Larissa at speeds with which she could not keep up. They had built her up once, his words. But it had become very clear, years ago, that his words before they were married had been lies. Lies he had put in her head and made her believe she was worth marrying. So much had changed since their first meeting, so many nights crying herself to sleep and wishing for death. Or even just disappearing would have been fine for her. She’d lost count of how many times she had wished for a hole to open up and swallow her.
But alas, life never worked in such a way. Instead, Larissa had to stay and endure the abuse. She had to do as she was told, forever being used as one thing or another for whatever Roger pleased. The likes of which Larissa had gone through in her life were not something she would even wish upon her worst enemy. Coincidentally, her husband had quickly become her worst enemy. Though the things she wished on him had become increasingly more violent as the years dragged on. She was slightly ashamed of these thoughts, but never would she voice them to anyone. And she wasn’t capable of following through…right?
With a heavy sigh, Larissa rose in her bed, wiping at her tired eyes and pulling back her fingers covered in old mascara. She pursed her lips as she stared at her fingers, chastising herself mentally for having not remembered to take her makeup off before bed. Larissa looked at her pillow, breathing a sigh of relief that no mascara had gotten on the silk material. Roger would practically have her head over something such as that.
Groaning ever so slightly at the twinge in her back as she moved, Larissa lifted herself away from the bed and slipped her feet into her slippers. Long arms stretched endlessly as Larissa tried to right whatever ailment was hurting her back, joints popping like firecrackers bursting in the sky. She grabbed for her robe nearby, slipping into it and reveling in the feeling of the soft material on her skin. It was like an old friend hugging her, comforting her as it surrounded her.
Not that Larissa necessarily had old friends hugging her. In fact, aside from her daughter, she couldn’t remember the last time someone had genuinely hugged her. That thought alone shot a small pang in her heart as she fumbled her way to the bathroom, reluctantly starting her day. She contemplated glumly, wondering how her life had taken such a sour turn. Why was she the one suffering and not Roger? Who had given him the right to treat her so badly? So many questions Larissa had, but ultimately no answers could be given.
Moments after taking her shower, Larissa sat in front of her vanity, staring at her reflection in the mirror. She focused on her mouth first, watching it as the frown lines were etched into her skin. She wished they were lines from laughing, from enjoying herself in life. It was often she had to put on a fake smile for others, but that disappeared as soon as the event was over. It was never there long enough to make an impact on her skin.
Long, damp blonde hair fell in haphazard pieces down Larissa’s shoulders, looking messy and unkempt. Her eyes followed the slithering paths of her hair, mesmerized for a moment at the way it looked plastered to her skin. It was this image that brought forth the thought of wishing to be some sea creature. Perhaps her life would be much more satisfying if she could become someone like Ursula, from The Little Mermaid. Flaunting around and making deals with people to create her own path for something. Not bound by some man, even if she was banished. Perhaps that would be better than the hell she was living in.
As her mind began to wander, her brain riddled with anxiety over her life, a knock at her door startled her back into reality. Larissa jumped and looked down at her naked body, panicking as she looked around the room for her robe.
“Just a moment!” She called out, scrambling to put her robe on.
It twisted around her body for a moment as she struggled with it, looking like some sort of cartoon character in a frenzy. She managed to right it on her body correctly, glaring down at the offending fabric in question. Tying the slips together tightly and putting her slippers back on her feet, she wondered who could possibly be at her door. If it was Roger, he would have just burst in, probably ready with comments about Larissa’s body and how uncouth it was to be sitting there naked.
But those were thoughts for another time as she approached the door. She reached for the handle and gently opened the door, peaking through the crack for a moment to catch a glimpse of whoever had come to speak to her.
Surprise, and a slight tinge of a blush at being caught so unpresentable, colored Larissa’s features as she eyed Deirdre standing at her door.
Deirdre had a look of apology written on her face, but she didn’t seem to be too sorry about the sight she was seeing. Larissa tried to ignore that as she opened the door a little wider, giving the other woman a tentative smile.
“Deirdre, what can I help you with?” The blonde questioned, feeling self-conscious under the almost wandering eyes of the nanny.
Blinking herself out of a stupor, Deirdre finally placed her eyes in line with Larissa’s. She gave a small, but gentle smile to the woman in front of her, trying her best to not make Larissa feel entirely uncomfortable. Though it seemed perhaps she had already done so.
“My apologies.” DD began, clearing her throat and giving her best ‘I’m sorry’ smile. “I just felt like I needed to come and check on you this morning.” The nanny stated. Her insides felt fluttered with having to broach any subjects possibly deemed unprofessional, but her exterior showed no signs of nervousness.
For all her effort not to, Larissa still looked shocked for a moment. Even more so than when she had seen DD standing in her doorway. No one ever asked her how she was. No one ever cared enough to even notice if she was out of sorts in any way. Not that she really let anyone see that. She would always plaster a smile on her face and let everyone think she was just fine. But DD has seen what had happened the night before and knew how cruel of a man Roger could be. That didn’t lessen the surprise of her asking how she was for Larissa.
It took her a moment to answer, a deer in the headlights look stuck on her face before she schooled it back to something less horrifying. “That’s very kind of you, Deir…” Larissa stopped, correcting herself with the nanny’s name. “DD. It’s very kind of you, DD. But you have nothing to worry about.” She gave a smile that she had perfected throughout the years, the one that actually looked genuine and truthful. But the look on Deirdre’s face told Larissa she didn’t buy it.
DD lifted an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest, one leg bending at the knee as she jutted her hip out to the side. Skeptical would be the word to best describe the look she was giving Larissa, letting the silence linger for a moment to get the point across.
“Larissa.” DD started, not dropping her intense stare for even a moment. “You can fool everyone else you know into thinking everything is a piece o’ cake, but I know better. Have you already forgotten the spectacle I witnessed last night?” She questioned, her one eyebrow raising even higher than before.
Larissa had to ignore the feeling that wanted to crawl up at hearing Deirdre say her name, pushing anything even remotely unnecessary aside to focus on the other woman’s words. She had the decency to look sheepish at the mention of the night before, if only because she wished to forget someone had witnessed such a thing. It was embarrassing, to say the least.
“No, no I haven’t forgotten.” Larissa answered solemnly, shaking her head as she answered. She wrapped her robe around her tighter, wanting to squeeze away the shame she felt in her chest, as it slowly started to creep out into the rest of her body.
Deirdre’s eyes widened in sudden mortification as she watched the humiliation play out on Larissa’s face. Without thinking, her hands reached out and gingerly touched the blonde’s arm, trying to pull her out of whatever thoughts she seemed to be having. Her thumb lightly brushed against the skin of Larissa’s arm in comfort, the action taking place without DD even realizing it.
“Hey, hey. It’s okay. It’s alright.” DD hushed in a soft tone, softer than her normal if she was being honest. But this was a delicate situation and she wanted to be as helpful as possible. “Listen, the one who should be embarrassed is that asshole husband of yours.” Her tone became a little more vehement at the end of her sentence, rougher than she had intended. But if there was one thing Deirdre hated, it was men like Roger Weems.
Larissa’s eyes shot up from their place on the floor, widening slightly before a bit of a laugh escaped her. It was unbidden, completely involuntary. But the way DD had so violently called Roger an asshole struck the funny bone in her.
The nanny couldn’t help but grin when Larissa started laughing, her hands still laying on her arm in comfort as her body shook with her own bit of laughter. “If I had known that calling Mr. Weems an asshole was going to bring a smile to your face, I would have led with that.” DD boasted, sporting a lopsided grin that had Larissa’s head slightly spinning from the beauty of it.
Relaxing her body slightly, the blonde nodded and placed her own hand on DD’s opposite arm. “Trust me when I say that such a thing will always bring a smile to my face.” Larissa provided, patting DD’s arm with a grin stretching her unpainted lips.
Deirdre chuckled, but only nodded her head for a moment. She realized then, however, that her hands were still on Larissa’s arms. She carefully removed them and let them fall by her side. That felt awkward after a second though and she shoved her hands in her pocket and leaned against the door frame with a grin.
“Getting you to feel better took much less effort than expected.” She provided, giving Larissa an almost shit-eating grin.
Larissa rolled her eyes and shook her head, finding this conversation with Deirdre much easier than she had anticipated. She had an actual, genuine, honest to god smile on her face as she stood in front of the other woman, feeling a lightness in her chest she hadn’t felt in years. She was on the verge of saying something when DD beat her to it.
“So listen, I did want to come to check on you. You very much seem like you need a pick-me-up.” Deirdre said this delicately, with as soft a look as she could muster. She meant it as nicely as possible, wanting desperately to do something for this woman who seemed to be going through so much.
“Olivia has so graciously demanded that we go to the zoo today.” Deirdre said with sarcasm, making Larissa grin wider. “I think it would be in her best interest, and yours, if you came with us. I’ll even buy the food.” DD tilted her head, eyebrows rising up her forehead in a ‘how could you possibly turn this down’ look.
If there was anything Larissa was weak against, it was her daughter. She was the one thing in her life that had brought her endless joy and comfort. Of course, she had been terrified when she found out she was pregnant. Larissa hadn’t even been 100% sure she wanted children, but Roger had insisted so. It had taken some time for it to happen, Larissa being in her thirties by the time anything had taken. It was an experience she never wanted to experience again.
Now, though? She didn’t regret it at all. The only thing she did regret was the fact that Roger was the father. Olivia had his eyes, always peering at her with a tiny little smile on her face. It hurt her to look at those eyes at times, but there was still nothing she wouldn’t do for her daughter.
Taking herself out of her own head and downward spiraling thoughts, Larissa focused back in on Deirdre and realized the woman was staring straight at her, head tilted in question as she waited for an answer.
“I’m so sorry for spacing out on you there.” Larissa apologized, giving an apologetic smile with it. She blushed lightly, shaking her head as if to shake the thoughts away. “But I think that sounds lovely!” The blonde grinned, clapping her hands together in a light show of excitement.
DD finally nodded and moved back from the doorway, internally berating herself for having stood so close to Larissa. She hadn’t even noticed she had started leaning in while they were talking, while she waited for Larissa’s internal monologue to finish. She plastered a grin on her face and held a thumbs up in approval. “Perfect! You get yourself ready and we’ll be down in my car waiting for you!”
The nanny turned to leave, but before she could take even a step, Larissa’s hand was on her shoulder to stop her. DD froze before turning around slowly, peering up at Larissa with a question in her eyes.
“Thank you, DD. For…for being so kind to me. It means more than you’ll ever know.” Larissa confessed, squeezing the other woman's shoulder in thanks.
Deirdre felt her heart thump and her stomach flutter at the words, though she tried hard not to look into why, and smiled wide at Larissa. She patted the blonde’s hand before squeezing it back in return. “You don’t have to thank me, love. Just get your gorgeous self ready and come have a nice time with me and your daughter.” DD winked before finally walking away, putting just the tiniest bit of swing in her hips. For what reason? Well, that remained to be seen.
Half an hour later, which was a true feat for Larissa, she came strolling down the stairs looking like a million bucks. Her mood had changed entirely from this morning, a soft smile gracing her lips and her head held a little higher than usual. Her red lipstick made her lips look plump, lashes were adorned with mascara to make her blue eyes pop. A beige mock-turtleneck sweater dress laid perfectly on her body, accentuating her shapely hips. Did she have beige heels on to match? Of course.
Larissa swiped at invisible wrinkles at the bottom of her dress, making sure she was presentable as she looked into the mirror that was placed on the wall next to the front door. She checked her lipstick once more after having done so many times while at her vanity, to make sure there were no smudges or anything out of order. If she was going out in public, she was going to look as good as possible.
As she checked herself over again, clothes and all, the front door opened and DD popped her head in. The nanny’s eyes roved from Larissa’s head, pausing slightly on her lips, and moved down, down, down. Larissa felt her cheeks heat up at the attention, Deirdre letting out a sharp, approving whistle.
“You look fantastic!” The nanny approved, nodding her head. “But I did say we were going to the zoo, right? And you’re wearing heels?” DD had to question it, even if Larissa looked like the cover of a fashion magazine.
Taking a moment to look down at her heels, twisting one leg and foot to the side to show off the whole thing, Larissa hummed and shrugged her shoulders. “I enjoy this outfit.” Was all she offered, looking up at DD with a defiant look in her eye. She was not about to change.
Deirdre threw her hands up and leaned against the door. “Hey, you wear whatever you’re comfortable in, love. I’m not judging, because you look radiant, but I wanna make sure you’re gonna be comfortable.” The nanny was more of a practical dresser, always looking for comfort over style. It came with her job, honestly, but she added her own personal style to it. “Anyway, Olivia is bouncing uncontrollably in my car, so if you don’t get the led out we’re gonna have a raging child on our hands.”
Larissa had to laugh at the statement. It was said in such a gruff way, DD’s words lilting in certain ways that made her feel like a good teasing rather than being berated. She gave a curt nod before grabbing her small purse, placing the strap on her should as she looked DD in the eyes. “Off we go.” She said, moving past Deirdre with her catwalk steps, giving a little side grin to the woman as she passed her by.
Another half an hour later and the three of them stood at the entrance of the zoo, Deirdre paying for the tickets as Larissa occupied her daughter. She was bent all the way down, trying her best to be at her daughter’s level. Olivia held both of her mother’s hands in hers, insisting she twirl her around and around and around. Larissa grinned wide, happy to be playing with her daughter, all thoughts of Roger gone for the moment. Olivia giggled as her mother took one hand and turned her counter-clockwise, spinning the little girl in circles as precious laughter fell from both of their lips.
Deirdre watched them for a moment, eying them both with wonder. The relationship the two had as mother and daughter was a sight to behold, the little one always bringing out a side of Larissa that DD was sure no one else had ever seen. The blonde was a wonderful mother, always doting on her daughter in ways the nanny had wished she’d had as a child. But that was another thought for another day as she finally approached them, smiling as Olivia caught a glimpse of her and began to jump up and down.
“Ready?” The little girl asked, making grabby hands at DD as the older women came up to her. A high-pitched giggle flowed from the little girl’s mouth as DD swooped her up into a hug before settling her on her hip, arms wrapped around Olivia’s waist.
“Yes, little wild one! We’re ready!” She responded, attacking Olivia’s face with little kisses.
The little one cackled and wiggled in DD’s arms before turning her attention back to her mother. Larissa was back at her full height, watching the two of them with rapt attention. She actually felt relaxed for a moment, wishing she had the carefree attitude her daughter did.
“Mommy! Let’s go!” Olivia waved her arms frantically around, nearly hitting Deirdre in the face.
Larissa couldn’t help the slight snicker that escaped her at the sight of it all, stepping up to kiss her daughter on the cheek. Her eyes locked with DDs for a moment, a small pang of something she couldn’t quite place hitting her heart. She ignored it and took a step back. “Lead the way!” She waved her arm towards the entrance and followed behind DD and Olivia.
An hour into their zoo adventure, Larissa could feel that wearing heels was indeed a mistake. In all honesty, she was surprised she made it an hour before things started to bother her. The weather was cold enough for her dress not to be a bother, but the heels were about to be her undoing. When they would stop to observe an animal Olivia was interested in, Larissa would switch her weight back and forth between her feet, trying to find a comfortable way to stand as her daughter ‘ooo-ed’ and ‘ahhh-ed’ at the animals.
Deirdre, of course, noticed Larissa was slowing down. She kept an eye on the other woman, watching as her face became more and more pinched, giving away the fact that the blonde’s shoes were bothering her. DD wanted to be smug for having already inquired about it beforehand, but she kept that feeling to herself as sympathy began to take over.
After Olivia had gotten her fill of gazing at the chimpanzees, Deirdre took one look at Larissa before bending down to whisper to the little girl. “Listen, it looks like your mommy is feeling a bit tired. Why don’t we take a break to sit down and have some food, hmm?” DD questioned Olivia, giving a gentle smile as she held the little girl’s hand.
Olivia nodded enthusiastically, clapping her hands together as she always did when she was excited. She turned to her mother, completely ignoring the fact that Larissa looked like she was in severe pain at the moment. “Mommy! Mommy! I’m hungry!” She exclaimed as she ran over to her mother, holding her arms out to indicate she wanted to be picked up.
Larissa smiled at her daughter, ignoring her aching feet as she scooped her up into her arms. She held her with one arm against her side and tickled at the little girl’s stomach with the other, making Olivia burst into laughter. It was a sound Larissa so desperately loved, feeding off of the joy her daughter so easily displayed.
“Well then, let us find something!” Larissa responded, looking over to DD with a questioning look.
DD tilted her head towards the direction they had already been heading, moving to walk in stride with Larissa as she slowly made herself move forward. “There’s a little place just up ahead where little miss Olivia here loves to eat. It’s not far, and then you can sit and rest those fancy feet of yours.” Deirdre teased, looking up at Larissa with a dastardly grin.
The blonde rolled her eyes, still holding her daughter tightly as the girl excitedly bounced in her arms. She didn’t want to concede that her feet felt like they were going to fall off, especially as DD gave her a knowing look. She chose not to respond with words, only nodding her head as she let her daughter down to walk herself. If she carried her anymore, she felt her feet would break off at the ankles.
When they entered the little food shop, Deirdre pointed towards a booth in the corner before looking at Larissa. “You go ahead and sit down, rest your feet. I’ll order the food and be right there.” She instructed lightly, though the stern look on her face gave no room for argument from Larissa.
The blonde gave a stern look back, in good teasing, and turned to grab her daughter’s hand. She led Olivia to the table, sitting with her on one side of the booth and soothingly playing with her hair. Larissa’s feet were screaming at her and she longed to push the shoes off her feet, but she endured as she focused on her daughter. If there was anything in this world that could soothe her, it was Olivia.
Lost in her own world with Olivia, Larissa didn’t even notice when Deirdre approached the table. When the other woman set the food down on the tabletop, Larissa jumped and her head immediately swiveled to see who had startled her. The panic on her face slowly disappeared when she realized it was Deirdre. She took in a deep breath, trying to calm her heart rate. Olivia, for the most part, just ignored whatever was happening and started reaching for the food.
Deirdre slid into the booth across from the two and settled in, letting Olivia take the food she always got when they came here. She slowly looked at Larissa, eyes full of concern for a moment. “I didn’t mean to scare you, love. Are you alright?” The nanny asked, watching Larissa’s eyes to see the emotions there.
“Knee-jerk reaction.” Larissa explained, looking somewhat sheepish over it. It wasn’t the best explanation and she could tell that DD knew why it was such a reaction. She tried to give her best smile, not wanting to bring up too much in front of Olivia.
Deirdre got the sense of that and decided not to push anything. Instead, she nodded once and gave her best reassuring smile. “Eat up then, you look famished.” DD winked and waved her hand at the food.
Larissa stared at Deirdre for a minute, studying her face. She lingered on the other woman’s lips perhaps a bit longer than she meant to, cheeks turning a bit red at being caught doing so. DD had a small side grin lifting up the left side of her mouth, but she chose not to say anything for the time being. Instead, as Larissa grabbed one of the burgers offered to her, Deirdre slid her a drink slyly. She winked once more at Larissa before turning her attention to Olivia.
“Are you happy, little wild one?” Deidre asked, grinning at the girl.
With a fry in one hand and her drink in the other, Olivia nodded her head enthusiastically. “Yeth!” She answered, mouth still full of food.
DD chuckled, shaking her head lovingly at the small one. She was endearing, that was for certain. And as she looked at Larissa from the side of her eyes, the blonde munching on the burger as it rolled on one side of her mouth, as she smiled at her daughter, DD could understand exactly who she had gotten that from. It certainly wasn’t Roger.
All was silent for them for a bit as they enjoyed their food, Deidre and Larissa sometimes accidentally brushing their fingers as they reached for their drinks at the same time. And it was always the same reaction, DD looked apologetic while Larissa looked shocked but somewhat heartened by it.
Towards the end of their meal, a stranger stopped by their table, grinning down at all three of them. She was an alternative looking lady, piercings covering parts of her face, her hair a lovely shade of purple. Larissa and DD looked up at her, Olivia oblivious as she finished off her fries and drink.
“I’m so sorry to bother you all.” The woman began, pressing her hand to her chest in apology. “But I just wanted to say that I think you all make the cutest little family. A little girl and her two moms? It makes my heart happy to see more of this these days.” She smiled genuinely at them before taking a breath and nodding. “Again, I’m sorry for bothering you. I just needed to say that. Have a great day!”
And off the woman went, leaving behind two grown women with their mouths open, unsure of what to say. Deirdre’s eyes cut to Larissa first, trying to gauge the other woman’s reaction. She could see the wheels turning in Larissa’s mind as she watched those blue eyes ponder what the woman had said. DD hadn’t had the heart to correct the stranger, only slightly managing to get out a thank you before she had left, almost sounding more like a question than a statement.
Larissa finally cleared her throat and finished off her drink, mind still reeling from the compliment they had just received. What she wasn’t revealing was how she wished it was true. How she wished for something much happier than what her life had given her. She could feel something, some sort of connection, between herself and Deirdre. She had felt it for some time now, but she hadn’t even tried to entertain the idea. She was married, after all. Albeit, it was not a happy marriage. But having someone in public hand her such a scenario, and in such an innocent way, made Larissa’s heart break and melt at the same time.
“Well, darling!” Larissa began, pointedly using the term of endearment with DD, trying to tamp down her racing heart. “Shall we take our child home?” There was a slight laugh that bubbled up with Larissa’s words, a happy little feeling fluttering in her chest with them.
Deirdre laughed, shaking her head at the other woman. “Sure, babe!” She shot back, heart pumping a bit faster, not knowing it was keeping in time with Larissa’s. “Let’s get you home and out of those heels.” DD threw a wink at the blonde again, really enjoying the way her cheeks turned red and her eyelashes fluttered in response.
It was a possibly dangerous game they were playing, but neither one wanted to confront it. Not yet.
Deidre, Larissa, and Olivia strolled into the mansion a few hours later, the two women laughing between themselves as the little girl was carried in. She was all tuckered out from her day, passed out in Deidre’s arms. The adults were talking amongst themselves, still enjoying the time together as they walked through the threshold of the home.
A clearing of a throat surprised them both into silence, their eyes wandering around to find the source of the sound. Larissa’s heart dropped at the sight of Roger at the top of the stairs. DD, try as she might to not do so, glared up at the man with so much disdain on her face that if looks could kill, Roger would drop dead right there. Little did they know they each wished for that exact thing. Alas, life was a cruel mistress, leaving them both in a situation they didn’t care for.
“You’re late, Larissa. Did you forget we had a function to attend this evening?” He questioned sternly as he pointedly ignored Deirdre and shot daggers at Larissa.
Larissa could tell Roger was livid, the clench of his fists and the hate in his eyes making that very clear. She looked to DD once, giving an apology with her eyes before looking back to Roger. She opened her mouth to speak, to respond in the meek manner in which she knew Roger would prefer. But Deidre was having none of it. Watching Larissa turn into a shrinking violet in front of her eyes, instead of the radiant woman she had seen all day, made a fire bubble inside of the nanny that she knew would take eons to douse.
“That’s my fault, sir.” She practically sneered the last word, wishing she could call him something else instead. “I drug her to the zoo with us, so mother and daughter could have some quality time.”
Roger scoffed, taking a few steps down the stairs as he barely kept his temper under control. “I don’t want to hear excuses. I just want to see my wife ready to go when I tell her to be.” His attention turned back to Larissa, giving her a pointed glare and making her shrink even more. “Don’t bother to change, Larissa. Let’s go.”
He rushed past the two of them, nearly knocking both women over. Deirdre had to hang on to Olivia, making sure she didn’t slip from her grasp as the other hand reached for Larissa. She steadied the woman the best she could and watched the blonde’s face with sympathetic eyes. With a squeeze of Larissa’s shoulder, Deidre smiled and gave Larissa a once-over. Did she linger a little too long on the blonde’s lips? Maybe. But those were thoughts for later.
“You look beautiful. Knock ‘em dead.” DD complimented, giving that infamous wink she had probably used one too many times today. The resulting smile she received from Larissa was worth it though.
“Thank you.” Larissa whispered, just before kissing Olivia on the head softly. She gave one more smile to the nanny before turning and disappearing out the door.
New Fic
Hi, everyone!
I'm posting a Marilyn Thornhill x Fem! reader new story : Ashes From a Broken Heart
It's not finished, but I will be updating it daily.
English is not my first language, but I tried to do my best translating it...
Here is the summary:
Your name is Sarah Weems. Your aunt urged you to take the position of art teacher at Nevermore academy, but you turned it down. You lived your life in Boston with your girlfriend, Emily. Everything changed after asking her to marry you. She rejected your proposal, also confessing that she had been cheating on you with your partner, Brad for months. After this hard blow, you decided toaccept the position that your aunt, Larissa Weems, had for you. Going back to Nevermore meant too much of a change, and you weren't in your best mood. Maybe this would be your chance to start over, maybe to meet someone else. You had no idea what you were getting yourself into.
I'm not gonna stop writing Oneshots, so I'm here if you want to give me some requests.
