any time i imagine kid xelqua lounging in grian's house, he is watching sesame street or dragon ball z, with snacks sat on the cushion next to him.

he shoves the snacks into the crease of the couch when he thinks he might get in trouble for eating on the furniture and doesn't want to get caught. (he would not have got in trouble, but now he will, just for that)

I made a discovery while gardening that I am invincible while wearing gloves. No scuttling spider frightens me into freezing, I held them and nudged centipedes out of the way with armored fingers.

I was genuinely just afraid of them touching me, go figure ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

#for the record i enjoy inverts and respect them greatly #but having certain ones loose in the house where i could see would cause primordial fear #i used a different bathroom all day bc there was a large spood above the door of the hallway #it was his bathroom that day

Love when you can feel the cruising history in a bathroom

#straight bars with piss troughs are one extreme #so completely oblivious of gay cruising that all dudes are encouraged to whip their dicks out together #the other end is probably gay bars that put a bouncer in the bathroom. bc of the woke 🙄#this post was prompted by two things #1) the AMC bathroom from when I watched furiosa last weekend #where the urinal dividers were like largely performative like if I glanced over I could absolutely see everything #and they were so shallow I could probably grab if the mood was right in that mall bathroom bc they were also very shallow #and 2) the rest stop bathroom where the urinals were basically in a stall #floor to almost ceiling stainless steel going all the way to the wall with no gaps #and so deep and tight that I actually only just managed to fit with my wide ass shoulders #they just screamed one man per urinal and NO glancing #*touches the ground* something incredibly homosexual happened here…#*and then washes my hands incredibly thoroughly multiple times…*

attempting to claw my brain out of The Rottening by allowing myself to spend money on things that will improve my household life even though I've been reluctant to commit to them

#a drill for projects around the house because I've either been borrowing a friend's or just not doing those projects #a large external drive for the desktop computer because eventually i do want to upgrade that computer and i need backups #also i have just been solving problems by dumping stuff into cloud storage and that's really not sustainable #and a wireless keyboard + mouse because my computer is set up as the living room TV and having the controls tethered is uh inconvenient #it's not even stuff that's hard for me to afford!#i just get weird about dipping outside my weekly budget #and none of these things can be easily purchased within that budget #anyway. very excited to go home and try out this drill #i also bought a new shade for the bathroom #because i don't like having vinyl blinds that have broken slats as a privacy shield #like. my neighbor's house is Right There #and it's not a very big broken area but i am constantly aware of it #so it would be nice to just. fix it.

#luke.txt #had a dream last night i broke and got drunk and my parents were interrogating me about it the next morning #and they Did Not Believe Me when i was like but other than last night i didnt drink all week!#the guilt guilt shame shame guilt shame guilt did not go away when i realized it was a dream so ive felt like garbage all morning #for some reason.#anyway #the good news is The Friday Before Christmas is by and large not a big hashtag partyday #because people have parties of the nature where its not socially acceptable to get drunk at them on this day #(office holiday parties and whatnot)#(get togethers with relatives for people with families that go insane for that kind of stuff in a continuous stream leading up to christmas #(stuff like that)#so it will probably feel less. idk. like im missing out on something #as if getting drunk alone on your bathroom floor is like comparable in any way to social drinking. but i digress
