Max's birthday was just around the corner, and you found yourself in a fortunate position, having a few weeks off from work. This time away felt like a blessing, especially considering how close you and Max had grown recently.
The aftermath of your breakup had been tough, filled with emotional turmoil and countless tears. Yet, through it all, Max had been your rock, offering comfort and support.
You often found solace in his presence, spending nights in his bed while he opted for the couch, a testament to the deepening bond between you two.
It felt perfectly normal, a natural progression of friendship, or so you thought.
As you enjoyed a leisurely afternoon playing golf, the sun shining brightly overhead, Lily suddenly interrupted your thoughts with a loud exclamation.
"Absolutely not!" she shouted, her voice cutting through the serene atmosphere. You turned to her, puzzled, as she continued, "You can't just sleep in his bed like that! It’s not just friends hanging out; it’s crossing a line!"
Her words hung in the air, and you could feel the tension rising.
You couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. "Lily, me and him are just friends! It’s not like we’re planning a romantic getaway or anything," you replied, trying to lighten the mood.
Lily rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. "Fine, but just remember, boundaries are important!" she warned, her tone softening.
Lily leaned back, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she took a swing at the golf ball, sending it soaring into the bright blue sky. "You know, you and I both understand that Max is head over heels for you," she remarked casually, a teasing grin spreading across her face.
The words hung in the air, and for a moment, everything around you faded into the background. Your heart raced, a sudden flutter of disbelief and excitement coursing through you.
This was the first time anyone had ever suggested such a thing, and the thought sent your mind spiraling.
"What? Are you serious?" you stammered, your voice barely above a whisper. The revelation felt like a jolt of electricity, igniting a mix of hope and confusion within you.
You had always thought of Max as a close friend, someone who shared laughter and late-night conversations, but the idea of him harboring deeper feelings was entirely new.
You could hardly process it, your thoughts racing as you tried to recall every interaction you’d had with him, searching for signs that you might have missed.
Lily chuckled, clearly enjoying your reaction. "What? You really didn’t know? Wow, you two are like two peas in a pod, completely oblivious to each other’s feelings," she teased, shaking her head in disbelief.
"It’s almost comical how you both dance around the truth. I mean, the way he looks at you when he thinks you’re not paying attention? It’s like he’s trying to memorize every detail of your face."
Her words painted a vivid picture in your mind, and suddenly, the world felt a little brighter, filled with possibilities you had never dared to consider before.
As they lounged in the sun-drenched golf park, Lily leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "You know, there’s a way to find out if he really likes you," she said, a playful grin spreading across her face.
The anticipation bubbled within you, and you leaned in, eager to hear more. "How?" you asked, your curiosity piqued.
Lily's expression turned conspiratorial as she glanced over at Alex, who was engrossed in a game of golf with Lando. "Guys secretly enjoy it when you gently cup their cheek or run your fingers through their hair," she explained, her voice low and teasing.
"That’s how I figured out that big guy over there was into me. It’s all about those little moments of connection." You watched Alex swing his club, a hint of a smile playing on his lips, and wondered if Max would respond the same way if you tried something similar.
"Just think about it," Lily continued, her tone light yet encouraging. "If he doesn’t like you, he’ll probably pull away or act all awkward. But if he does… well, you’ll definitely know."
She nudged you playfully, her laughter ringing out like music in the air.
The thought of testing the waters sent a thrill through you, and you couldn’t help but imagine the possibilities.
Would Max react positively?
The idea of a shared moment filled with unspoken feelings made your heart race, and you felt a surge of confidence at the prospect of taking that leap.

After the golf session was over, your phone buzzed with a text from Max.
"Hey, come over to my place. I’ve got something cool to show you," it read.
Your heart skipped a beat, excitement mingling with nerves as you replied with a quick, "Sure, be there soon!"
The drive to Max's house felt longer than usual, every passing minute filled with anticipation.
As the door swung open, Max stepped into view, his presence commanding immediate attention. His muscular physique was evident even beneath the casual attire he wore; a fitted t-shirt clung to his broad shoulders and sculpted arms, accentuating the definition of his biceps.
The fabric of his jeans hugged his powerful thighs, hinting at the strength that lay beneath. With a confident stance, he exuded an aura of both approachability and strength, making it clear that he was someone who took care of himself while still embracing a laid-back style.
Max's features were striking, framed by tousled hair that added a touch of rugged charm to his overall appearance. His chiseled jawline and high cheekbones gave him a classic handsomeness, while his warm smile revealed a friendly demeanor that put others at ease.
The way he carried himself suggested a blend of confidence and humility, as if he was fully aware of his physical prowess but chose to remain grounded.
The casual outfit he wore—a simple t-shirt paired with well-fitted jeans—allowed his natural charisma to shine through without overshadowing his approachable nature.
As he stood there, the light from the hallway illuminated his figure, casting a subtle glow that highlighted the contours of his muscles. Max's eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, suggesting a playful spirit beneath his strong exterior.
When you arrived, Max greeted you at the door, his usual easygoing smile on his face
"Glad you could make it," he said, leading you inside. As you stepped into the cozy living room, you couldn't shake Lily's words from your mind.
You found yourself glancing at Max, wondering if this would be the right moment to test her theory.
"So, what’s the cool thing you wanted to show me?" you asked, trying to sound casual while your heart raced.
Max's grin widened, a spark of excitement lighting up his eyes. "Come on, I'll show you," he said, motioning for you to follow him further into the house. The anticipation in his voice was contagious, and you felt a thrill of curiosity pique your interest.
As you walked through the hallway, the walls adorned with photographs and memorabilia hinted at stories and adventures shared within these walls.
He led you to a room at the back of the house, the door slightly ajar.
Inside, the room was warmly lit, and the first thing you noticed were two cats, Jimmy and Sassy, lounging comfortably on a plush armchair. Their curious eyes followed your every movement, as if they, too, were eager to see what Max had in store.
Just beyond the armchair, on a small table, you spotted a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates, elegantly arranged as if waiting for a special moment.
Max turned to you with a proud smile, his eyes twinkling with satisfaction. "You mentioned you've never gotten flowers or chocolates from anyone, so I wanted to change that," he said, his voice filled with genuine warmth.
The thoughtful gesture took you by surprise, and you couldn't help but feel a rush of emotion. Max's attention to detail and the effort he put into making you feel special spoke volumes, deepening the connection you felt with him.
"Oh Max, you shouldn't have," you muttered into your hands, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks.
The warmth of his gesture melted away any lingering doubts, leaving you with a soft, glowing sensation in your chest. Max's eyes softened as he watched your reaction, clearly pleased with the effect his surprise had on you.
The room seemed to shrink, the world outside fading away as you stood there, enveloped in a bubble of shared affection and understanding.
Max stepped closer, his voice gentle and sincere. "I just wanted to make you feel appreciated because you deserve it," he said, reaching out to gently take your hand.
The touch sent a shiver down your spine, and you found yourself looking up into his eyes, feeling a connection that words could scarcely capture.
Overwhelmed by the depth of emotion his gesture had stirred within you, you found yourself stepping forward, wrapping your arms around Max in a heartfelt hug. His warmth enveloped you, and for a moment, it felt as though time had stopped.
Without thinking, you leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, a spontaneous act that seemed to convey all the gratitude and affection words could not express.
Max's breath hitched ever so slightly, and when you pulled back, his eyes were shining with a mix of surprise and happiness.
He gazed at you with a softness that made your heart flutter, and it was clear that the moment had deepened the bond between you. "Thank you, Max," you whispered, your voice filled with emotion. "For everything."
Max smiled, a tender expression that spoke volumes, and he squeezed your hand reassuringly. The two of you stood there, silently promising each other that this was just the beginning of something truly special.
"I got you your favorite chocolates," Max muttered, a shy smile playing on his lips. You looked at him, puzzled.
"But they don't make them here?" you replied, confusion evident in your voice.
Max's smile widened as he watched the realization dawn on your face. "I had them specially ordered," he explained. "I know how much you love them, and I wanted to do something that would truly make you happy."
Your eyes widened in surprise as you processed his words. The effort and thoughtfulness behind his gesture left you speechless. "Max, I can't believe you went through all that trouble just for me," you said, your voice trembling with emotion.
He stepped closer, his hand still holding yours. "You're worth it," he replied softly. The sincerity in his eyes made your heart swell with gratitude and affection, solidifying the special bond that had formed between you.
Eventually, the two of you left the room and went to sit with each other on the sofa, leaving only a small space between you. The TV was on, but after ten minutes, neither of you was paying attention to it.
The quiet murmur of the show served as a background to your own thoughts and the unspoken emotions hanging in the air.
You glanced at Max, catching his eye, and he smiled softly, a silent acknowledgment of the shared moment. It felt as if the world outside had faded away, leaving just the two of you in this bubble of newfound connection.
You decided to try Lily's theory. "Max, there is something on your face," you muttered, not waiting for him to respond as you cupped his face with your hand.
He blinked in surprise, a puzzled look crossing his features as you gently brushed your thumb across his cheek. "What is it?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
"It's nothing," you replied, your eyes locking onto his. "I just wanted an excuse to be closer to you."
A blush spread across Max's cheeks, and he chuckled softly, the sound a mixture of relief and amusement. "You don't need an excuse," he murmured, leaning into your touch.
He closed his eyes and leaned against your hand, his breathing steady and calm. The warmth of his skin against your palm sent a comforting shiver down your spine.
You could feel the unspoken words that lingered in the air, the depth of emotions that neither of you had fully expressed yet. It was a moment of pure intimacy, a quiet understanding that spoke volumes more than any words could.
As the night wore on, the comforting presence of Max and the emotional weight of the evening began to take their toll. You felt your eyelids grow heavy, and before you knew it, you had drifted off to sleep on the couch, cradled by the warmth of the moment.
The last thing you remembered was the gentle rise and fall of Max's chest beside you, and the soft hum of the TV creating a soothing lullaby.
When you awoke, the first thing you noticed was the lingering scent of Max on the throw blanket draped over you. It was a mix of his cologne and something uniquely him, a smell that brought an immediate sense of comfort.
You blinked, trying to shake off the grogginess, and realized that Max was no longer beside you.
The room was quiet now, the TV turned off, and a sense of emptiness replaced the warmth that had been there earlier. . . .

The long-anticipated day had finally arrived: Max's birthday celebration. Although Max had expressed a desire for a low-key gathering, his friends Lando and Charles had other plans.
They were determined to throw him a memorable bash, and before he knew it, you found yourself hailing a taxi to a trendy club that promised an extravagant night. As the city lights blurred past the window, you felt a mix of excitement and anxiety bubbling within you.
What if Max didn’t enjoy the party? What if he felt overwhelmed? These thoughts raced through your mind as you approached the club, its vibrant atmosphere pulsating with music and laughter.
Stepping out of the taxi, you hesitated for a moment, feeling the weight of uncertainty. The entrance loomed ahead, and the thrumming bass from inside made your heart race.
Just as you were about to gather your courage and walk in alone, you spotted a familiar figure leaning casually against the wall, seemingly lost in thought.
It was Max, his usual confident demeanor replaced by a hint of contemplation. You felt a wave of relief wash over you, and without thinking, you called out, "Max! What are you doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be inside celebrating?"
Your voice cut through the noise, and you watched as his expression shifted from one of mild annoyance to a bright, welcoming smile.
"I was waiting for you, of course," Max replied, his eyes sparkling with mischief. The tension in your chest eased as he stepped closer, the warmth of his presence making the bustling club feel a little less intimidating.
"I thought I’d give you a chance to make a grand entrance," he teased, nudging you playfully.
You laughed, feeling the camaraderie between you two. "Well, I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long. I was just trying to muster the courage to walk in there," you admitted, gesturing toward the club.
Max chuckled, shaking his head. "You know I’d never let you face this alone. Let’s go in together. It’s my birthday, and I want you to enjoy it as much as I do."
As you both stepped inside, the club's vibrant energy enveloped you. Neon lights flickered overhead, casting colorful patterns across the dance floor where people moved rhythmically to the beat of the music.
The air was thick with the scent of cocktails and the sound of laughter, and you could see Charles at the bar while Lando was being the DJ, waving enthusiastically as soon as he spotted you.
You made your way through the crowd with Max by your side, feeling a little more at ease with each step. As you approached the bar, Charles greeted you with a wide grin and a raised eyebrow.
"Well, well, look who decided to grace us with their presence," he teased, his eyes darting between you and Max. "I was starting to think you two had run off for a private celebration of your own."
Max rolled his eyes playfully, nudging you with his elbow. "Oh, come on, Charles. You know we wouldn't miss your expertly mixed cocktails for anything," he retorted, reaching for a drink that Charles had just finished preparing.
You laughed, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks as Charles gave you a knowing wink. "Just saying, you two seem pretty inseparable tonight,"
Charles added with a chuckle. "But I'm glad you're here. Now let's get this party started!"
As you navigated through the bustling crowd, you felt a warm sense of connection as Max's fingers intertwined with yours. It was a surprising gesture, one that felt so unlike the sober Max you knew, who typically kept his distance in social situations.
Yet here he was, leading you through the throng of partygoers with an air of confidence that seemed to defy his usual demeanor.
"Can you believe I actually agreed to this?" he chuckled, glancing back at you with a playful smirk.
You could see the hint of discomfort in his eyes, but he was trying to make the best of it, and you admired him for that.
Max had been thrust into the role of the gracious host, forced to thank each guest for attending his birthday celebration, even though he had made it clear he wasn’t keen on the idea of a party in the first place.
"Thanks for coming! It means a lot," he said, his voice dripping with a forced cheerfulness as he greeted a group of friends. You could see the strain behind his smile, and it made you want to laugh and cry at the same time.
"You’re doing great," you whispered encouragingly, squeezing his hand tighter. He shot you a grateful glance, and for a moment, the weight of the party seemed to lift just a little.
As the night wore on, the inevitable questions began to surface. "So, are you two dating?" one of Max's friends asked, a teasing glint in their eye. Max's response was quick, a playful grin spreading across his face.
"Oh, absolutely! We’re planning a wedding next week," he joked, his tone light but his eyes darting to you for a reaction. You couldn’t help but laugh, feeling a rush of warmth at the thought. "Or maybe we’ll just stick to being best friends," he added, shifting the conversation away with a wink.
You felt a mix of amusement and affection for him, knowing that beneath the humor, there was a genuine bond forming between you two, one that was becoming increasingly hard to define.
You liked Max more than you cared to admit, and each shared smile or inside joke only deepened that feeling. His ability to switch from playful banter to genuine warmth made your heart flutter in ways you hadn’t experienced before.
Tonight, seeing him step out of his comfort zone for the sake of others, you admired his resilience and adaptability. It was a side of him you rarely saw, but one that made you appreciate him even more.
As the party continued, you found yourself gravitating towards him, drawn by an invisible thread of mutual understanding and unspoken feelings. Every touch, every shared glance, seemed charged with a new, electric energy.
You wondered if he felt it too, or if you were simply projecting your own hopes onto the night.
Either way, you couldn’t shake the feeling that something significant was unfolding between you, something that went beyond the confines of friendship.
As the evening unfolded, you found yourself nursing a drink, careful not to indulge too much. The last thing you wanted was to wake up the next day regretting a bold confession of your feelings for Max.
The thought of revealing your heart to him sent a shiver down your spine, but the atmosphere was electric, and you could feel the tension building.
Lando, Charles, and a few others were gathered around, their laughter echoing through the room as they engaged in a lively game of truth or dare.
You were lost in your thoughts, contemplating the fine line between friendship and something more, when suddenly, a light tap on your shoulder jolted you back to reality.
“Hey, it’s your turn! Truth or dare?” Lando’s voice rang out, playful and teasing, pulling you from your reverie. You glanced around the circle, the eager faces of your friends urging you to make a choice.
“Um, dare,” you replied, a mix of excitement and apprehension bubbling within you. You felt a rush of adrenaline, as if the game itself was daring you to step outside your comfort zone.
Lando’s eyes sparkled with mischief as he leaned in closer, clearly relishing the moment. “I dare you to sit on Max’s lap for the rest of the night and kiss him,” he declared, a knowing grin spreading across his face.
Your heart raced at the suggestion, a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside you. The room fell silent for a moment, all eyes on you, waiting for your reaction. You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks, a mix of embarrassment and thrill coursing through your veins.
Max, sitting just a few feet away, looked equally surprised, his expression a blend of curiosity and amusement. “You heard him,” you said, trying to sound more confident than you felt.
With a deep breath, you made your way over to Max, your heart pounding in your chest. As you settled onto his lap, the world around you faded away, leaving just the two of you in that electrifying moment.
The laughter of your friends faded into the background as you leaned in, your lips brushing against his, igniting a spark that had been waiting to be unleashed.
Max immediately cupped your cheek with one hand, his touch sending a jolt of warmth through you, while his other hand rested on your waist, pulling you a little closer.
The connection between you was undeniable, a magnetic force that neither of you could resist.
His lips pressed against yours with a tenderness that made your heart flutter, and for a moment, it felt as though time had stopped.
As you pulled back slightly, your eyes met his, and an unspoken understanding passed between you. The room erupted in cheers and applause, but their sounds were distant, muffled by the intensity of the moment you shared.
Max's eyes held a newfound softness, a hint of vulnerability that mirrored your own.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time,” he whispered, his breath warm against your skin.
"Max, you're drunk. You don't mean that," you dismissed his words with a nervous laugh, though your heart was pounding even harder at his confession.
You tried to brush it off, convincing yourself it was just the alcohol talking, but the sincerity in his eyes made it difficult to ignore. Your mind raced, torn between the desire to believe him and the fear of what it might mean if he was telling the truth.
Max's hand remained on your waist, holding you in place as he shook his head slowly. "No, I mean it," he insisted, his voice steady despite the slight slur of intoxication.
"I've always felt something for you, but I never had the courage to say it. Tonight just gave me the push I needed."
The vulnerability in his gaze was unmistakable, and in that moment, you realized that perhaps the alcohol had simply loosened his tongue, allowing him to finally voice what had been in his heart all along.
Your breath caught in your throat as you looked into his earnest eyes, and you felt a wave of emotions crash over you. "Max," you began softly, "I've felt it too, but I was always too scared to admit it."
His grip on you tightened slightly, a silent encouragement, and you continued, "Maybe we should talk about this when we're both sober, but I don't want to ignore what we're feeling right now."
"Will you say the same thing tomorrow?" Max asked, his voice tinged with fear. You could feel the weight of his question, the uncertainty that mirrored your own.
"I promise, I'll still feel the same," you replied softly, your heart hammering in your chest. "But let's give ourselves a chance to wake up and see if this moment is just as real in the light of day."
"Tomorrow, you might just earn yourself a girlfriend," you added with a playful smirk, trying to lighten the mood. Max's eyes sparkled with a mixture of hope and relief.
"Want to get a taste of her before the night ends?" you asked, leaning in closer.
The tension melted away as he pulled you into another kiss, this one filled with a newfound certainty. The world around you faded once more, leaving just the two of you in a bubble of shared emotions and possibilities.
"Get a room!" Lando yelled from across the bar, his voice cutting through the intimate moment. Max didn't miss a beat, raising his hand to give Lando the middle finger while still kissing you.
You couldn't help but laugh against his lips, the absurdity of the situation adding a light-hearted touch to the intense emotions swirling between you.
As you finally pulled away, both of you breathless and grinning, Max's eyes held a promise of tomorrow. "Let's get out of here," he whispered, his forehead resting against yours.
"I want to spend the rest of my birthday with you, just us." You nodded, your heart full and your mind clear for the first time in a long while.
Together, you made your way out, hand in hand, ready to face whatever the morning would bring. . . .

A birthday for a queen
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was Yn’s 22nd birthday, and Max had been planning this day for months. He wanted everything to be perfect for the woman who made every single day of his life brighter. The night before, he could hardly sleep, thinking about all the surprises he had lined up for her. Finally, the morning came, and the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains. He glanced over at her, sleeping peacefully, her hair fanned out on the pillow, her lips parted slightly in a soft smile even in her dreams.
Max grinned. Today’s the day.
He carefully shifted under the covers, moving closer to her, wrapping his arms around her waist. Yn stirred slightly but didn’t wake. Gently, Max pressed a kiss to her shoulder, then to her neck.
“Morning, birthday girl,” he whispered against her skin, his lips brushing her ear.
Yn sighed softly, still half-asleep, but a smile tugged at her lips as she felt his warmth surround her. “Mmm, morning,” she murmured, her voice thick with sleep.
Max chuckled and shifted so he could look at her. “Happy birthday, beautiful,” he said, his voice tender. “How does it feel to be 22?”
Her eyes fluttered open, and the first thing she saw was his beaming face inches from hers. “It feels… perfect,” she whispered, still waking up. “Especially waking up like this.” She leaned into him, pressing a lazy kiss to his lips.
Max’s heart swelled as he kissed her back, slow and tender, savoring the moment. “I’ve got so many things planned for you today,” he said when they finally pulled away, their foreheads touching, his hand brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
“Oh yeah?” she teased, her eyes sparkling now that she was fully awake. “And what makes you think I’ll even get out of bed today?”
He laughed, pulling her closer, burying his face in the crook of her neck. “Well, I’m starting the day off with something that might make it hard for you to want to leave.” He gave her another kiss, making her giggle.
“Max!” she playfully swatted at him, but her laughter turned into a soft sigh as he kissed her again, slow and lingering. His lips felt like they were made for hers, like they fit together so perfectly it was hard to believe they hadn’t known each other forever.
He pulled away, just enough to speak, his eyes soft. “I love you, Yn.”
Her heart melted at his words, the sincerity in his voice. “I love you too, Max. More than anything.”
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other, the world outside their bedroom feeling like it didn’t exist. Max had made it a point to ensure this day was going to be all about her, and he was starting it off right—with endless affection.
Eventually, Max untangled himself from their embrace, but only just. “Okay, okay,” he said, sitting up and running a hand through his messy hair. “Stay right here. I’ll be back in a second.”
Yn watched him with a curious smile as he disappeared into the hallway. She pulled the covers up around her and leaned back against the pillows, wondering what he was up to. A few minutes later, she heard his footsteps again. Then, he reappeared, carefully balancing a tray in his hands.
Her eyes widened as he approached. “Max… did you—”
“Breakfast in bed for the birthday girl,” he announced proudly, setting the tray down in front of her. On it was her favorite—pancakes stacked high with fresh berries and whipped cream, a side of scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, and a glass of orange juice. It smelled amazing.
“You really didn’t have to,” Yn said, but her smile gave away just how happy she was.
Max shrugged, sitting beside her on the bed. “I wanted to. And besides, you deserve to be spoiled today.”
She reached for his hand, squeezing it gently. “I feel so lucky,” she said, her eyes filled with love as she looked at him.
“No, I’m the lucky one,” he said, pressing a kiss to the back of her hand.
They ate together, Max stealing a few bites from her plate, making her laugh when he got whipped cream on his nose. After breakfast, he leaned back, watching her, his expression filled with excitement.
“I’m not done yet,” he said, standing up and walking over to the dresser.
Yn raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Oh? There’s more?”
“Oh, just a few things,” he said casually, but the grin on his face told her he had something big planned.
He came back, holding a large shopping bag, and her eyes widened when she saw the familiar designer logos printed on the front.
“Max, what did you do?” she asked, laughing as he sat back down and handed her the bag.
“Open it and find out,” he said, his eyes shining with excitement.
She reached into the bag and pulled out the first item—a stunning Gucci handbag in a sleek black leather with gold accents. Her jaw dropped.
“Max… this is gorgeous!” she exclaimed, running her fingers over the soft leather.
“I thought you’d like it,” he said with a proud grin. “But wait, there’s more.”
She dug deeper into the bag, pulling out item after item—each one more beautiful than the last. A pair of Christian Louboutin heels in a perfect blush pink. A delicate Chanel necklace that sparkled in the morning light. A silk Versace scarf in her favorite color. Each piece was more stunning than the last, and Yn couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Max… this is too much,” she said, her voice filled with awe as she looked at the gifts spread out in front of her.
“Nothing is too much for you,” he said, his tone serious now. “You deserve everything, Yn. I wanted to spoil you today because you make every day better just by being you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at him, her heart so full it felt like it might burst. “You’re incredible,” she whispered, leaning in to kiss him again. “Thank you, Max. For everything.”
He kissed her back, his hand cupping her cheek, and when they finally pulled away, he had a mischievous glint in his eyes. “There’s one more thing,” he said, standing up and holding out his hand for her.
Yn looked at him, confused but excited. “More? Max, you’ve already done so much.”
“I promise, this one’s worth it,” he said with a grin, pulling her up from the bed.
They walked hand in hand to the door, and Max led her outside. The moment they stepped onto the driveway, Yn gasped, her hand flying to her mouth.
Parked in front of the house was a brand-new, bubblegum pink Lamborghini, its sleek curves gleaming in the sunlight.
“Max!” she exclaimed, her voice breathless with shock. “Is this… for me?”
He nodded, grinning from ear to ear. “Happy birthday, Yn.”
Tears spilled over her cheeks as she turned to him, completely overwhelmed. “I can’t believe this,” she whispered, looking between him and the car. “You really got me a Lamborghini?”
“Only the best for you,” he said, wrapping his arms around her from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder. “I know you’ve always wanted one.”
Yn turned in his arms, her hands resting on his chest as she looked up at him, her eyes filled with love and gratitude. “I don’t even know what to say,” she whispered. “This is… this is more than I ever could have imagined.”
“You don’t have to say anything,” Max said softly, brushing his thumb across her cheek. “Just seeing you happy is enough for me.”
“I’m more than happy,” she said, pulling him into a deep kiss. “I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”
They stood there for a moment, wrapped in each other’s arms, the pink Lamborghini gleaming beside them. Yn couldn’t believe how much love she felt in that moment—how much Max had done to make her birthday unforgettable.
“I love you, Max,” she whispered against his lips.
“I love you too, Yn,” he whispered back. “Always.”
And with that, they kissed again, sealing the perfect start to what would be an unforgettable day.

Lando Norris was the sun in her life, a constant, warm presence that filled her days with joy. She loved him deeply, and after three years of dating, her heart still fluttered when he looked at her the way he did. They were each other's best friends, sharing everything from their quiet nights at home to the busy life he led as a Formula 1 driver. Lando loved her, too. There was no question about that. He made sure to remind her with every touch, every soft kiss, and every whispered word when they were alone. But no matter how much love existed between them, there was a silent, looming cloud that she tried so hard not to notice. His friends.
They never liked her, and she couldn’t quite understand why. She wasn’t arrogant or boastful. In fact, she was quite the opposite—introverted, sweet, and often quiet, especially around large groups. She wasn't overly outgoing or dramatic, and she certainly wasn’t trying to steal Lando away from his friends. But still, whenever they were together with his friends or the rest of the team, she could feel their subtle distance. The sideways glances when she spoke, the quick change of conversation when she joined a group—it all added up.
It wasn’t as though she had never tried to bridge the gap, either. Early in their relationship, she had gone out of her way to be friendly, to make conversation, and to show interest in their lives. But the more she tried, the more it felt like she was only getting further away from them. Over time, she stopped trying so hard, and she retreated back into the quiet comfort of just being by Lando’s side. After all, he was the one she loved. As long as they were okay, nothing else should matter, right?
But it did. Even if she wouldn’t admit it out loud, it hurt that the people closest to Lando—the ones he spent so much of his life with—didn’t seem to care for her. And that quiet hurt always seemed to linger at the back of her mind.
This weekend, however, was supposed to be special. A day for both of them, a moment to celebrate not only Lando’s birthday but hers as well. The idea to celebrate their birthdays together was something Lando had insisted on. They were only a few days apart, and since Lando had such a busy schedule, he suggested one big party where they could celebrate together. He even offered to host it at the McLaren Technology Centre, a place he called home and wanted to share with her.
“Everyone will be there,” he had said, his excitement bubbling over. “My friends, the team, some of the drivers. It'll be great!”
She had nodded with a smile, her heart hopeful that maybe this would be a chance to connect with everyone on a different level, in a more relaxed and festive atmosphere. Her own friends, though invited, couldn’t make the trip to England, and while she understood, she couldn’t help but feel a little bit lonely knowing she wouldn’t have her usual support system there. Still, this was about Lando too, and she wanted to focus on making sure he had the best time.
The night of the party had been a whirlwind. Lando was glowing, his energy infectious as he mingled with everyone, laughing and sharing stories. She stayed by his side for most of the night, smiling softly at his friends and the team members who came over to greet him, though she noticed the conversations were always directed toward him and never her. It stung, but she pushed the feelings aside. Tonight was supposed to be fun.
After hours of laughter, music, and food, the party wound down, and as the guests began to leave, Lando took her hand, guiding her toward a large table piled high with presents.
“Look at all this,” he grinned, his eyes twinkling as he took in the sight. “I think we’re going to need all day tomorrow to open them.”
She chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. There were a lot of gifts, far more than she had expected. She didn’t think either of them would need much, but it was still heartwarming to see how much effort people had put into celebrating them.
Or so she thought.
The next day, after a lazy morning spent in bed, they finally sat down to open the gifts. Lando was practically buzzing with excitement, while she was content to sit beside him, happy to enjoy the moment with him.
The first few presents were exactly what she had expected—personalized items for Lando. Some McLaren-themed memorabilia, a few playful gag gifts from his friends, and even a sleek, custom helmet from one of the drivers. She watched with a soft smile as he unwrapped each one, his grin widening with every thoughtful present.
But as more and more gifts were opened, a realization slowly started to creep in. Every single present was for Lando.
She tried not to let it bother her at first. After all, Lando was the one who had more friends here, the one with the larger circle. It made sense that most of the gifts would be for him. But as the pile grew smaller and not a single gift was addressed to her, the hurt became harder to ignore.
There wasn’t a single present for her.
Not one.
By the time they reached the last box, she felt her heart sink. She had tried to stay positive, tried to convince herself that maybe someone had forgotten to label a gift, or maybe they’d gotten mixed up in the rush of the party. But no. Every gift had been intentionally for Lando, and her name hadn’t even been a second thought.
“Wow,” Lando breathed as he looked at the collection of gifts surrounding them. “That was… that was a lot.”
She nodded quietly, trying to keep her smile in place. Her hands fiddled with the ribbon from one of the opened boxes, trying to distract herself from the growing ache in her chest.
“Hey,” Lando said softly, noticing her quietness. “You okay?”
She glanced up at him, his blue eyes filled with concern. She could see how much he cared, how much he genuinely wanted to make sure she was happy. It wasn’t his fault that his friends had overlooked her. It wasn’t his fault that she felt so out of place among them.
“Yeah,” she whispered, forcing a smile. “I’m fine. I’m just… happy for you. You got so many cool things.”
He frowned, clearly not convinced by her answer. “But you didn’t get anything.”
Her stomach twisted, and she hated that she was the one bringing down the mood. “It’s okay, Lando. Really. Today was for both of us, but I know how important you are to them. It’s fine.”
But it wasn’t fine, and he could tell. His brows furrowed as he scooted closer to her, taking her hand in his.
“Hey,” he murmured softly, lifting her chin so she would look at him. “It’s not fine if you’re upset. You’re important too. To me.”
Tears pricked the corners of her eyes, but she blinked them away. She didn’t want to cry, not over something as silly as gifts. But the hurt wasn’t just about the presents. It was about everything—the way his friends never really accepted her, the way she always felt like an outsider in his world.
“I just…” She swallowed hard, trying to find the right words. “I just feel like they don’t see me. Like I don’t belong here. I know I’m not outgoing or loud or… like them. But I try, and it never seems like it’s enough.”
Lando’s expression softened, and he pulled her into his arms, holding her close.
“I’m so sorry,” he whispered against her hair. “I didn’t realize how much this was affecting you. But I promise, you do belong. You belong with me.”
His words were warm and comforting, but they didn’t erase the ache entirely. Still, being in his arms made her feel a little better. She rested her head against his chest, taking in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
“You’re the most important person to me,” he continued, his voice gentle but firm. “And if my friends can’t see how amazing you are, then that’s their loss. I love you, and that’s what matters.”
She smiled softly, her heart swelling with love for him. Lando always knew how to make her feel better, even when the world around them felt like it was crumbling.
“I love you too,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped up in each other’s warmth. The gifts, the party, the friends—they all faded into the background as Lando held her close, reminding her that she was loved. And in that moment, that was enough.

🍰 happy birthday!! i love your writing so much ♡ can i request for #2 + #12 from prompt list three? it's missing lando hours for me and him being clingy just gets me in the feels :")
thank u nonnie!! 🥹🥹 i hope you enjoy!! <33
prompt #2- when they're a big clingy baby who's cold on the outside but all pouty with you prompt #12- "i like the way you uplift me"
jordan's birthday sleepover!
the music in the house was loud, everyone talking loudly to be able to hear their conversations. you had found niran and ethan when you went to make another drink, stopping to talk with them in the kitchen.
little did you know, your boyfriend was currently scoping the house looking for you. he was tired and ready to go, the only thing on his mind was the idea of cuddling up next to you in bed and falling asleep.
but of course, he needed to find you in order to do that.
you were mid conversation when a pair of arms wrapped around your middle, "hey, baby."
you smiled, leaning into his touch as you tilted your head back to meet his eyes, not noticing the glances the other two boys shared. they had never seen this side of lando, the real side that not one everyone got to see. the side that showed off how he really was, a softie who was obsessed with you, not just their slightly intimidating boss.
"hey," you smiled, "sorry, i meant to come find you, but i ran into niran and ethan."
lando smiled softly at his friends, "i see that," his curls were tickling your cheek and you ignored the way he squeezed your middle a little bit tighter. the other two boys had found themselves in their own conversation, prompting lando to lean in closer to your ear to whisper softly, "can we go?"
you nodded, turning around in his arms. you noticed the one unruly curl that had fallen out of place, fingers moving to brush it back, "yeah, we can go,"
he smiled, taking the cup from your hands before replacing it with his own hand. he turned to his friends, "we're heading out, see you later!"
"see you, mate!"
"have fun you two!"
he was practically dragging you out of the house, you trailing behind him as you waved goodbye to some familiar faces. he unlocked the car once you were both outside, opening the passenger side door for you. you stood on your tiptoes, kissing him as a silent 'thank you' before climbing in.
the drive back home was silent other than the music softly playing through the speakers.
his voice was soft as his thumb stroked the back of your hand, "i guess i didn't realize it until now, but i like the way you uplift me. like how you make me feel, how you're always there."
you smiled, bringing the back of his hand up to your lips, "i love you, lan,"
"i love you more, baby."

🧸 + denial. realization. obsession. + lando (maybe a little friends to lovers 🤭)
a/n: ohhh maddie i love your brain!! (oops i kinda went overboard for this)
you and lando had known each other for what felt like ages. the two of you had gone to the same country club when you were younger, both of you often following your parents. you instantly hit it off, becoming buddies as you wandered around the country club together.
since then, you and lando had become fast friends normally, staying close despite lando making it into formula 1. you still kept in touch as much as you could with countless facetimes, online games, and texts about each other’s day. you often couldn’t go to races, having been busy with work; however, when max and the rest of lando’s friends in quadrant decided they were going to go watch lando race, an invitation was extended to you.
you were hesitant at first, knowing the expensive lounges they were going to choose, but max said that he’d pay for it. (which meant that lando would pay for it, most likely) so now, you were getting out of the car, heading towards the track. you and ria were laughing about something when some teenage girls tapped you on the shoulder. “excuse me, are you lando’s girlfriend?”
your eyes widened with surprise, shaking your head. “no, i’m a close friend of his,” you answered. glancing up, you expected ria to be just as surprised as you were, but she gave you an amused smile.
“that was odd,” you commented to her, walking towards the mclaren garage.
“right, odd,” ria murmured, but it was almost a half-hearted agreement.
you were about to respond when you heard a voice behind you call your name. spinning around, you saw lando, who had a look of surprise on his face. “you’re here!” he grinned, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you in a tight hug. lando nuzzled his face in your hair as he spoke. “i didn’t know you were coming, but i’m so glad you’re here.”
“glad to be here, lan,” you beamed. you both pulled back, maybe a bit reluctantly, and turned back to the rest of the group, who gave you the same amused glance ria had. but to add to that, the mechanics in the garage also shared a similar expression that you couldn’t decipher.
“this your girlfriend, norris?” one of the mechanics asked, chuckling. lando’s eyes changed into something veiled, something you couldn’t place. “you two make a good couple.”
“thanks, she’s one of my best friends,” lando responded, throwing an arm around your shoulder. you nodded, smiling at him, though something in your gut twisted at his words. best friends, that’s what you and lando were, so why weren’t you happy with that?
but. wait.
lando had said thanks to the compliment about being a good couple. and he hadn’t necessarily said you weren’t a couple. your mind was reeling with the implications, heart fluttering at the thought that maybe you liked him. what made it more suspenseful was that he quite possibly felt the same.
“hello? you good?” lando laughed, waving a hand in front of your face as you blinked. “spaced out, huh?”
you chuckled, though somewhat nervous, and tugged at his hand. the surprise and faint hope in his eyes wasn’t lost on you. “wanna go for a quick walk?” you suggested. “my brain’s a little busy.”
lando quickly nodded, hand on your waist as he guided you out into a quiet area in the paddock. with your newfound epiphany, you were paying attention to every single detail. had lando always put his hand on your back? when did he start? did his touch always make your heart flutter?
“are you okay?” lando asked softly, eyes seeming green in the sunlight.
“i’m fine,” you replied. “it’s just…” you trailed off, not brave enough to voice your hopes about something that could change your friendship.
“just what?” lando questioned, scrunching up his nose in confusion.
“everyone’s been asking me if i’m your girlfriend lately,” you started.
“is it bothering you? i could-”
“lando, no, it’s not that,” you said, cutting him off. “but i was thinking. if you’d ever thought it about. us dating, i mean.”
lando glanced at you, surprise in his expression as he took a step towards you. “i do think it about it,” he nodded. “every time i look at you.”
your jaw dropped at the revelation, and you mentally kicked yourself for being so stupid. he had had feelings for a while now? and you had still maintained that you were friends? “what if,” you started, “we could tell people that it was true?”
lando’s mouth curled up into a grin, arms wrapping around your waist. “is that what you want?”
instead of answering him verbally, you pulled him down, smiling as you kissed him.

TWENTY FINE - LN4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary : Throwing your best friend a birthday party is easy. Trying to figure out if he’s joking about kissing you is the hard part. Two best friends and a moonlit roof.
listen up : kissing! swearing! happy birthday lando norris!! 25!
word count : 1976
⋆。‧˚⋆
Lights flashing, music blasting, people jumping. It's everything that surrounds me while I grab my third drink of the night from the bar. A body slides up next to me and I know who it is immediately.
He smells like alcohol and the cologne I bought for him last year. “Birthday boy.” I smile softly as he grins at me. “You look happy.”
“How could I not be? My best friend organized the best party ever just for me. I’m feeling special.” He’s radiating good energy. He looks sickeningly good. In black slacks and a shirt to match, it’s unbuttoned low enough so I can see his 4 necklace hitting his chest.
“Well, you’re twenty fine!” I laugh at my own joke as Lando cringes, “I’m glad you’re happy though.” The bartender hands me my drink which I bring to my lips instantly. He's being extra nice to me because I organized the party and made sure it’s only people we know and like.
He rests his hand on my arm as a girl calls his name, he glances back then meets my eyes again, “I seriously don’t deserve you.” Lando brings his lips to my cheek quickly, winking and hurrying off to people who chant his name.
I laugh, making my way over to my friends. Max eyes me, “You’re seriously beating me out of number one best friend spot.”
“Good! I deserve it more.” He shakes his head, his curls moving with him.
“Not fair! Lando likes your face more.” I roll my eyes and take another drink, turning to Carlos who’s with his girlfriend Rebecca.
“Can I steal your girlfriend away?” Carlos frowns as Rebecca sits up, “That actually wasn’t a question!” I take her hand and we run into the crowd.
Everyone’s sweaty and drunk and laughing. I hold onto Rebecca’s hand and jump under the lights. My hair is messy and in my face, my skirt riding up and I couldn’t be happier.
Some of our friends join us, hugging and waving at people as I grin. My drink is empty in my hand and I lose it when a guy comes up next to me. He’s one of Lando’s friends, hot and tall with shaggy hair.
I catch Lando in the crowd right as his friends puts his hand on my waist, whispering in my ear in an attempt to be seductive.
He’s laughing with Max and a girl I don’t know. She’s holding Lando’s hand but I can tell he’s trying to shake her off when he moves to push back his hair with his occupied hand.
He gives in eventually, dancing with her far too close for my eyes. I turn back to the guy and focus on him.
He grabs my ass as I move my hands to his shoulders, “You’re Y/n, right?” I nod, leaning my head back and feeling the music. “I’ve heard a lot about you!” I wish he would stop talking to me.
“That’s nice!” Is all I can say.
“Lando talks you up, I just had to see if you’re really that great!” I nod slowly and back away to my friends. Mentioning my best friend while feeling me up is not the way to get in my pants.
“Y/n!” Lily, Alex Albons girlfriend grins at me. Every annoyance in my face disappears as I hug her.
“Lily!” We melt into a mix of talking, screaming the lyrics, and dancing.
“Where’s Lando!?” She yells over the music as I shrug.
“Off with some girl!”
She gives me a look. It’s weird and almost surprised, She sips her drink and nods drunkenly, “You need a boyfriend!” When she gets pulled away by her boyfriend, I slip out of the crowd.
I know my way around the place, there’s three levels and they’re all completely filled. When I step up to the third, I can see Lando at the DJ booth, a huge smile on his face.
I close the door behind me, the music muffling as I walk up the staircase. It’s creepy and dark but as soon as I step onto the roof, the cool air hitting me, I take a deep breath and smile.
I love parties, I wouldn’t be so close with Lando if I didn’t. But I need air far more often than him. I step to the edge, leaning on the barrier and looking out at the city.
People are walking the streets still, some dancing and some arguing. They look like ants. My eyes catch on a tiny couples, they’re holding hands and skipping down the street.
I rest my chin on my hand, looking up at the stars. I wonder if any of the stars are looking down at me and thinking I look like an ant.
I’m so absorbed in the sky that I jump when the door to the starecase opens. When I turn, I see Lando.
His hands are in his pockets as he walks up to me, “You okay?”
“Yeah! Just wanted some air…” I turn to him, the concrete rubbing against my exposed back, “Why are you up here?”
“Looking for you. Had a feeling you’d be looking at the stars.” He's teasing but I know he’s 100% serious. He rests his forearms on the parapet and looks out at the city.
I outline his profile in my mind, his freckles and hair looking extra nice under the moonlight. His eyes closes, dark green disappearing under unfairly thick lashes.
“Enjoying the party?” I ask quieter than I meant.
He turns to me, looking at me like no one else has. “I’d be enjoying it more if you would stay with me.” I may have been avoiding him a tiny bit, but I wanted him to be catching up with his other friends.
“You seemed like you were enjoying that girl's presence more than mine.” I’m lying and he knows it.
Lando turns to me, narrowing his eyes, “Untrue.” He looks at me for a second, his eyes flicking down to my body. If it were anyone else, I would think they were just looking at my outfit. Unfortunately, I know Lando better than that. “You look good.”
“Well this party is star studded…” I joke, “Had to look my best to compete.” I run my hand through my hair, my rings tugging on it.
He shakes his head, not joking with me, “They can’t compete with you in pajamas, love.” Still, a serious little smile tugs at his lips. This is what he does.
He drops something like that then goes and makes out with a girl opposite of me. But I’ve done the same so I can’t say anything. It’s just how our friendship works.
“Someone’s been taking advantage of the bar.”
“I've had two drinks.” Is all he says. I know he’s serious, too. “I wanted to say thank you- though. That’s why I came up here.”
I smile softly, tilting my head at him, “You’ve said thank you.”
“I mean thank you for everything.” His hands fidget in front of him, “For being there.”
He’s being extra sincere. “You’re welcome. And this is your present so don’t go asking for more-” He gets a big closer, laughing.
“Just one more thing?” He says in a sort of begging tone.
I raise a brow, our arms touching now, “What could you, Mr rich birthday boy, want?”
He bites his lip, then lets it go. The look he gives me is… magnetic. “A birthday kiss.”
It surprises me and for the first time in a while, I don’t know if he’s joking. “I’m sure you could get that from many others.”
“You don’t want to kiss me?” His hand goes to my waist, not touching my skin, but tugging at the fabric of my skirt.
I breathe in, scanning his face for any hint of humor. “I didn’t say that.” I know I made the right move when the corner of his mouth tugs upwards.
“So say you want to.” His voice is soft, that accent I’ve listened to for years soothing my beating heart.
I furrow my brows together, “You’re gonna make me beg for your birthday present?” There’s a tiny shadow on his face from the moonlight and his curls.
“It’s called consent, love.”
I take a big step, resting my arm on his shoulder so he gets closer, “Happy birthday, Lando.” I don’t think he’s going to do it at first, but then he leans in.
He hesitates, looking at my lips and eyes to make sure. But then he closes the gap and I wonder why I would ever say yes to this.
I think I'm out of my mind but who cares about that because Lando’s lips are on mine and I'm melting into him. He’s soft, pressing a gentle kiss onto my lips. Lando pulls back by an inch, he looks into my eyes. They're so green, my favorite color.
I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe and I'm pulling him back in, crushing his lips back onto mine. His hold on my hips gets tighter and my other arm wraps around his neck. His tongue goes into my mouth and suddenly I can’t understand why we haven’t done this before.
Kissing Lando is everything. My mind has come up with a hundred ways this would happen, I knew I shouldn’t think about it but I can’t help my dreams.
He feels hot against me. Hungry and needy for me.
He pulls me tighter against him, like he physically needs to be closer. It’s everything I've ever wanted and everything I’ve dreaded.
The moment someone steps out onto the roof, loudly stomping and singing, I pull away and look back over at the city.
It looks new… somehow.
I don’t look back at the guy, but Lando clears his throat and the man starts talking, “Oh shit! Sorry!” and the door closes, leaving us again in silence.
My heart is pounding so hard that I barely hear Lando mumble, “Dickhead.”
I smile slightly at this, dropping my head down so my hair falls in my face. What the fuck did I just do?
“I’m going to ask for one more thing.” Lando says, “Please don’t get mad.”
I push my hair behind my ear and listen to him.
“Can I take you out?” What the hell. “On an actual date. Not for a present or because I want you to. Because you want to.”
“Lando-”
“We’re not ruining anything.” He knows what I was going to say already. “I want to take you out on a date because I like you.”
I feel like I'm dreaming. This doesn’t feel possible. “Okay.”
“And you can’t say no just because you’re nervous because i’m nervous too and basically shitting myself just asking- wait. Okay!?”
I smile softly, nodding, “I guess I'll let you pay for a fancy dinner.”
He shakes his head, a huge smile appearing on his face, “We are not going to dinner! Do you even know me?” his hand goes to mine, lingering.
“I don’t want to fuck this up, Lando.” I say it because he’s right, I am scared.
He shakes his head, “I’m twenty fine… Nothing gets messed up anymore! Especially with you. Nothing is ever wrong with you.”
I sigh as he slips his hand to my cheek, moving his thumb softly against my skin. He cups my jaw and kisses me again. “I like kissing you.”
It feels right all over again, and I can’t help but smile at the idea that I’ll be doing this over and over again.
“Smiley.” He says against my lips.
Lando barely lets me get my words in, lost in lust and smiles, “I like you too, Norris. A lot.” He kisses me harder.

Lando groaned softly when his eyes opened in the morning, already knowing he woke up too early on a day off. But he quickly relaxed back into the sheets when he felt your warm body against his, head tucked into the side of his neck, he was content with laying there for a few more hours. He didn’t know that you were already awake, having looked at his peaceful, sleeping face when you had woken up.
You waited a few minutes to shift, murmuring a soft ‘good morning, baby’ as Lando tightened his hold around you. He grunts something back in response, eyes still heavy from sleep. You peppered kisses over his neck, eliciting a soft sound from Lando, your hands tracing down his warm body, making the Brit squirm. “Your hands are cold,” He sighed, relishing in your kisses. “Happy birthday, Lan,” You whispered into his skin.
Lando smiles at the low congratulations, murmuring a ’thank you’ before pulling you closer, turning you both over, and having you sit on his lap. Lando sighed with contentment, watching you with adoring eyes. Hair messy and his t-shirt resting over your frame, it’s better than anything he could have asked for.
Your hands now run down his bare chest, touching and feeling the skin you had access to at any time of the day, Lando’s wolfish smile beaming up at you as his hands rested on your hips, sliding under your sleeping shirt and tracing over your panties. “Look at you,” He hummed, shifting your hips so that you moved over his morning wood, making both of you groan out in pleasure. Lando entertains the idea of sinking into you and sleeping through the rest of the morning, meeting up with his parents later, but you have something else planned.
You slide down his lap and settle between his legs, planting your hands on his thighs as you gaze up at him. “Wanted to give my sweet boy something special on his birthday morning,” Lando’s dazed expression makes you giggle, his fingers gripping onto the meat on your hips.
Lando takes a deep breath when he feels your lips around the tip of his cock, your hands having pulled his boxers down. He leaned his head back on the pillows, getting comfortable while fighting back the urge to buck his hips into your mouth.
Morning head on his birthday sounded heavenly, it was more than he could have asked for. Lando doesn’t last long, quickly finishing in your mouth and pulling you back up to him for a kiss.
You managed to begrudgingly get Lando out of bed, still lazy from his first birthday treat. There were a few moments when Lando realized he was turning 25, a very real, very adult age. While avoiding a midlife crisis, you got him to get ready so you could go visit his family, who had landed in Monaco last night so they could celebrate Lando’s birthday.
Everything was perfect, all the people he loved gathered around for a nice brunch. His parents, brother and sisters, friends, cousins, grandparents, and you, the person he most loved.
He laughed and had the best of time, getting a small cake so the people he loves can celebrate him, and even now at 25 he still doesn’t know where to look when they’re singing happy birthday to him. So he settles to look at you.
Later into the day you and Lando had decided to go out clubbing with a few friends for some more adult fun, a few of the drivers from the grid coming out to wish him a nice one.
Lando’s tipsy and he’s happy, happier than he’s been in a while. He gets to hold you and kiss you, be celebrated by you, and just have a good day. So when you both come back stumbling into your apartment, tipsy and gleeful, Lando is insatiable. Ever since you both grabbed a cab back home he’s been all over you, whispering dirty promises and sweet nothings into your ears.
You’re hungry when you walk into the kitchen to get a glass of water, Lando whining for you to come to bed, wanting to have you undressed. “Baby, come on,” He sighs, bent over and leaning on the kitchen island, gazing at you. “Hold on, birthday boy, I’m hungry.” When you open the door to the fridge nothing looks too appetizing except for Lando’s birthday cake.
When Lando watches you stab a fork into his birthday cake, he smiles softly, walking towards you so he can settle his hands on your hips. “Gimme some,” He murmurs as he pulls you closer by your hips. You fork into the cake and stab him a piece, feeding it to him with a smile. Lando hums at the fluffy and sweet taste, the buttercream frosting melting across his tongue. “Come here,” He whispers, lifting you so you sit kitchen island. Your eyes gaze into his, dragging down his body, admiring the chain that hangs low on his chest, the few buttons he left open on his dress shirt taunting her to take it all off.
Lando’s lips quickly press against your neck, mouthing over the heated skin, licking and biting gently. A soft moan escapes your lips as Lando spreads your legs apart, settling himself between them. “Lemme have another bite,” Lando then whispers against your lips. Lando’s hands rest on the top of your thighs, waiting expectantly with a dazed smile.
You both share a few more bites of cake before the Brit decides he wants to eat something else. Slow, deliberate kisses are pressed down your chest, your party dress having been pushed down earlier. When he reaches the heat of your core he practically moans, hungry for more.
Your hands run down the nape of his neck, coming back up to play with his curls when he pulls your panties down, pressing his nose against your core and smirking, littering kisses over your inner thigh before practically making out with your cunt.
“Taste so good,” Lando moans, your hips bucking up against his mouth, whimpers falling from your lips with ease. Lando hums and nips gently against your clit, making you jolt and hit him swiftly in the back of his head, causing a laugh from the man between your legs.
Lando eats you out like a man starved, whining and thrusting into the air as he looks up at you, eyes hooded and nose pressed against your bundle of nerves. Your body felt like it was on constant overdrive, a wave of hot and cold washing over you.
“Oh, fuck, Lan,” You moan out, the sound resounding a bit in the fairly quiet apartment, the only other sound being the squelch between your legs, Lando’s tongue doing wonders for your pleasure. “H-hey, I should be the one pleasing you,” You chuckle breathlessly, cheeks flushed and feeling a beginning coil in your stomach.
“This is a pleasure to me,” Lando mumbles against your pussy, pulling back to lick his lips and dip two fingers, making your mouth open in a loud moan. “That’s it, pretty girl, I know you’re close,” He smirks, knees starting to ache from kneeling on them.
With one hand in his curls and the other one gripping the edge of the kitchen island, your hips buck up onto Lando’s digits, your bottom lip trembling when he blows air against your core. “Please, please, lemme cum, Lan, feels so good,” You plead, eyes staring down into pretty green eyes, his smile widening as you beg.
“Come on, baby, cum on my fingers,” Lando says, lips quickly going back to suck on your clit while his fingers pump in and out of your runny cunt, his soft chuckles sending shockwaves throughout your body.
When pleasure overcomes you, a delicious coil unwinding in your stomach, Lando licks up into your pussy, relishing in the slick and cleaning you up.
Lando stands up from between your legs and licks his fingers, crashing his lips into yours so you can taste yourself on his tongue. “So sweet,” He murmurs against your lips, one of his hands coming up to swipe at his birthday cake, finger dipping into the frosting before he presses the digits against your bottom lip, prompting you to suck the yummy buttercream off.
“And that’s even sweeter,” Lando cheekily adds, a small giggle escaping him once you roll your eyes at him.
Now as the night ends and you’re both in the bathtub, soaking in the bubbles, Lando realizes that this is all he could have ever wanted. Sure, the presents and the company were nice, but all he wanted was you, and his wishes were granted.
The Brit relaxes against your chest, freshly cut mullet damp and sticking to the nape of his neck, his eyes closed as your hands rested over his stomach under the water. “I love you,” Lando says, “Thank you for today, it’s been really nice.” He smiled to himself, knowing that this would be one of the many memorable birthdays he had. “I love you too, baby,” You whisper back to him, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. “Happy birthday, Lando.”

lando norris x you — “I want to count every one of your freckles with my lips.” requested by @percervall
Tumblr media
“You need to at least look like you want to be here, Lando.”
Nobody really wanted to be back at the factory, especially in the middle of what was meant to be a much-needed break. But the big bosses thought it would "boost team morale" to see their star drivers scouring the hallowed halls, and a perfect dose of social media buzz to tide over the dedicated fans – a crumb for the diehards.
Lando had pushed back, insisting that his summer reset and the teams break away from the madness was more important than a couple of media bites, more important for the soul in the long run. He lost that battle miserably over a 2 minute phone call with Zak and found himself here, sat on a block of concrete looking up at you with tired eyes, a scrunched nose and a scowl on his pursed lips.
“Don’t wanna be here though.”
He was in a mood.
“Neither do I but we’re working and I don’t feel like being scolded by your boss sooo…” You stepped forward and held his heavy head in your hands, “Put a smile on your pretty face and get on with it so we can go home, please?”
Lando sighed, internally battling with his blatant distaste for having to put on an act but he would do it for you – his manager, his friend. He would do it for you because you asked; he would do anything if you asked, no question. There really wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you.
“Fine but I’m only doing it for you because you shouldn’t be here rotting away as well,” He huffed and stood up from the hard concrete he had been sitting on for the past 10 minutes, hoping nobody would come looking for him.
But of course you did.
“I know you are and I love you for that.”
“Love you too.”
He would always blush a little when you said it, immediately trying to distract you with a nudge or a head ruffle but this time he grabbed your shoulders and massaged the tense muscles in your neck as you lead him back to the cafeteria.
You said it too often for friends – that dreaded L word, and too often for business partners. But you said it causally in conversation or when he would cook you dinner after a long day at work. Sometimes you said it during the no strings attached sex you had mutually agreed to, long ago. It would slip out without the other knowing, in the rush of it all – purely accidental and meaningless. That’s what you would always tell yourself and it’s what Lando saw as a challenge.
He loved you then, and he loved you now.
Without warning, Lando changed course and tugged you into a dark room – the only light beaming from the phone in his hand. We have heaps of time, he whispered and pressed his body against yours, back pinned to a soft, cushioned wall. Maybe it was a podcast studio you pondered before your lips were seized, all thoughts of your strange surroundings disappearing into his affection.
It was a breathless kiss, spiked with starvation and anticipation; it was something that Lando had wanted to do all day, watching you strut around the place he loved the most – his home away from home. You belonged in his world, perfectly poised and charming; everyone eating out of the palm of your hand. He laughed when you said that all you wanted was to blend into the crowd when in reality, you were the main event.
You always were to him.
“Fuck, you drive me insane.” Lando’s voice was barely a whisper, raspy and only for your ears.
“Honey, you showed up in the baggy jeans I have been begging you to wear and I drive you insane? Get out of my face…” You retort, pushing him away playfully before tugging him back by the jumper.
“Hmm, so you’re sayin’ we’re even?” his question was muffled by his mouth tracing your jawline, teeth dangerously grazing your neck, threatening to leave his mark.
“Don’t push it, Norris or I will kill you.” You warned.
“But what if I want to count every one of your freckles with my lips?”
He asked the question such sincerity that it sent chills down the spine he was caressing, inching you further and further into his grip with every kiss. Holding you so tight, you could barely breathe – every sharp inhale laced with his cologne, spritzed hours ago and lingering on the tips of his curls that tickled your skin.
A frayed moan rumbled in your throat, knowing you couldn’t let him devour every inch of he claimed because his actions had humiliating consequences. But god it felt so good when his tongue followed the slope of your neck, his question still tumbling around in your absent mind before you were plunged into bright light.
Lando’s head snapped to his left, yours following suit to find a familiar face – one you weren’t thrilled to see but given the current circumstance; flushed cheeks and a moment away from giving in to your carnal desire – it wasn’t the worst.
“Thought I would find you two here.”
The Australian accent thrummed off the soundproofed walls, “To be fair, not the worst spot for a quickie but a bit obvious, mate.”
“Thank you Oscar for the feedback,” Lando quipped and patted his teammate on the shoulder before exiting the room with your hand tangled with his.
“Any time!” He sang back and gave you the first genuine smile you’d seen all day.
Because like Lando, he didn’t want to be here – nobody did. But the devilish smirk and wink over the shoulder from the man holding your hand made it a worthy cause. It was never squandered time when you were with him, not even a second.
And you had the rest of the summer to waste away together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY | (l.norris)
Tumblr media
summary: it’s Lando’s birthday and you’re celebrating!
wordcount: 2.8k words
pairing: landonorris x fem!reader
warnings: smut! oral m!receving, grabbing breasts
notes: something small for Lando’s birthday! I wrote this today because I was focused on writing something for december and I forgot to write a fic😭 comment your thoughts!
You looked at the clock and saw that it was way too early. Only 8:37 am and the plans for Lando’s birthday party were only starting in the evening, you planned a big party in a club where all of his friends and his family would celebrate him. You looked to your right and saw a sleeping Lando that had an arm draped over his face and the other arm was hanging over your belly, the duvet was missing from his body and you saw a small bulge in his boxer shorts. Maybe that was how you could wake him up, he only deserved the best treatment on his birthday, and after the mindblowing sex you both had after you celebrated his birthday when the clock struck midnight, it was time for some sexy time only for Lando. He told you at least once a day how much he loved your blowjobs, saying you have some magic power. So you got to work.
You carefully lifted the arm that was over your belly off it and put it next to his body on the mattress, you touched his v-line and caressed slowly towards his growing bulge. You didn’t want to wake him up before you could pleasure him, so you wanted to be as careful as you could, but you wanted to get him a little harder and kept on teasing him. Quiet whines came out of his mouth but his chest kept rising peacefully, and he kept sleeping. When you decided it was enough, and the bulge was large enough you sat up and carefully sat over his legs, where you could reach his dick, your fingers slipped into the waistband of his boxers and pulled it down. He must be in deep sleep because he didn’t notice how his dick sprung towards the ceiling and your mouth started to water, but not only your mouth. The long and thick member was covered with veins and laid heavy in your hand when you carefully touched his dick after you spit in your hand to lubricate it. You started to slowly jerk him off and got him hard enough to put him in your mouth.
Now he started to breathe faster and started to move around, his hands were trying to grip something and whines kept coming out of his mouth. When you finally put him in your mouth and bobbed your head up and down, he woke up.
”Shit Y/N, what are you doing?“
You released him out of your mouth and looked at him with an innocent look. ”Relax, baby, lean back and enjoy the show. You deserve only the best on your birthday, and I know how much you love my blowjobs.“
”You‘ll be the death of me.“
He gripped your hair into a makeshift ponytail and you went back to pleasuring him with your mouth. This time you wrapped your hand around the base of his dick and applied gentle pressure to make him go crazy. According to his grunts and moans, it did just that, he slightly pulled on your hair, and that made you groan, which made him groan because of the vibration that reached his tip. With your tongue you explored the veins and circled his tip, gliding along his slit and sucking his member. You kept bobbing your head up and down and with every stroke, lick and every suck his dick started to twitch and his tip leaked pre cum, you released his member and looked at him.
”Is that good?“
”Baby, I‘ll die if you ever stop working your magic on my dick.“
You chuckled and wiped over your mouth, your spit mixed with his white liquid spilled out of your mouth and made its way down to your chin.
”You look so pretty with your mouth full and your spit leaking out of it. Never stop.“
With that you got back to work and slipped his member in your mouth, moving your head and pleasuring him as best as you could. That seemed to work as not long after you started again, he spilled his cum down your throat and came with a loud moan, pulling on your hair. You removed your mouth from his member and wiped over it again, now removing the spilled cum that dribbled on your lips.
”You are the best blowjob giver there is. Thank you for waking me that way.“
”Always for the birthday boy, happy birthday again, baby. You’re going to get your presents later, okay? I‘m ready for breakfast.“
You came back up to him and laid down on top of him, cuddling into his chest.
”Thank you, angel. I‘m ready to lay in bed all day with you.“
”Sure.“
But that was not how you planned it, the party was a surprise party, he didn’t know all his friends were already in Vegas, waiting for tonight. And that wasn’t the only thing you planned. Later you had to pick up a cake that you ordered for him, a chocolate cake with ’Happy birthday, I love you‘ written on top of it, it was mainly for his party but you had organized some cupcakes as well, that you could eat beforehand, you ordered papaya and neon yellow colored frosting.
You two lay in bed until you both got hungry and decided to go eat breakfast in a café you found yesterday. It was a small and hidden restaurant that served breakfast until midday, so eventually, when you both got ready and dressed, you had to deny Lando another round of sex or otherwise you would have had the cake from the party for breakfast.
You made your way out of the hotel and Fans waited for Lando outside, he took his time with them, trying to fulfill everyone their wishes but it was impossible to take the time and have a quick chat with everyone. In the end, you both were super hungry and the restaurant would stop preparing breakfast soon, with the help of some hotel employees you two were able to go to the café that was only two blocks away from your hotel.
You ordered your favorite and Lando chose some pancakes, Jon just wasn’t allowed to know they existed, but it was his birthday, how could you say no to him on his birthday? Until the weekend he had enough time to run an extra mile or two to get rid of them. You spent a lovely time eating together and talking about random stuff, when you returned to the hotel it was time for presents.
It was hard to get presents for Lando, he was rich and could buy everything he wanted, and he did.
You made a photo book with pictures from your last year together, it became a tradition for every birthday and Lando loved looking at them, seeing all the pictures and whatever you wrote next to them. You also got a new hoodie from his favorite brand, the hoodie season has begun now and he always said how he did not have enough hoodies, you didn’t believe him but he is addicted to them and you would support his addiction (eventually you would wear them anyway). Another tradition was to give him a self-made card, every year you would design a card on the internet and write a text in the card, he loved them and kept every single one. One last thing you brought with you, was his favorite Parfum. It wasn’t a planned gift, but he emptied his old one, and you bought him a new one to use. The big present was waiting for him at home, it was a billiard table, over the last races he found his new love. Billiard. He was playing it in every hotel with you and other drivers, he said that he needed to buy a table like this for his home, but hadn’t found the perfect one yet, but you did.
So when Lando was in the bathroom, you put up the presents on the bed and waited for him to come out, his eyes lit up when he did.
”Baby, there are so many presents, I told you, you didn’t have to get me anything!“
You rolled your eyes, every year was the same. Of course, you would get his presents, no matter what he said.
”Come open them!“
He read your card first and with teary eyes, which he told you, weren’t tears, just his eyes were watering because he got conjunctivitis, sometimes he was too proud to admit these things. But he kissed and hugged you tight, thanking you a thousand times. He kept on opening his presents, and with every present, his smile got bigger. Looks like you nailed this year, but he didn’t know about the billiard table yet.
”There’s one more present that I couldn’t take with me“, he looked at you with big eyes, ”but these are enough presents baby!“
”I wanted to get you one more, you‘ll love this one. It’s something you‘ve wanted for quite some time now, it’s big, and it has balls, and a stick.“
”I have balls.“
You let out a laugh and shook your head.
”Yes, but this is something you‘ve wanted.“
”You didn’t get me a billiard table, did you?“
”Maybe.“
Before you could do or say anything else, he ran towards you and hugged you tightly.
”That’s too expensive!“
”I bought a smaller version, we don’t have the space for a big one, it wasn’t as expensive as you might think.“
He hugged you tighter and lifted his head to steal a kiss.
”You’re the best, thank you!“
”Everything for you, birthday boy.“
He lifted you and threw you on the bed, where he joined you, he laid himself on top of you and his eyes wandered between your eyes and his lips. You knew where this would lead, but you didn’t have enough time, you still had to get the cake and cupcakes and get ready for the party.
He pressed his lips on yours, and things escalated quickly. His hand made its way under your shirt and cupped your bra-covered boob, squeezing it slightly, when you moaned, he slipped his tongue in your mouth to fight for dominance. But you had to stop it, so you broke off the kiss.
”No! Baby, I have to get something I ordered for your birthday. I‘m so sorry. Later, yeah?“
He pouted and pulled you tight to his body, where you could feel his growing boner. You gave him one last kiss on his lips and got up, collecting everything you needed, before going to the bakery.
Everything turned out perfect, the cake and the cupcakes, they looked like a piece of art, the bakery was so kind and gave you a small candle that you could put on of the cupcakes later, you grabbed them and made a detour to the club you rented for tonight, it wasn’t only you, but Max Fewtrell and Martin Garrix helped you to find the club and also covering most of the costs, you left the cake in a fridge, the staff showed you, checked out the place and decorations and quickly you returned to the hotel, so Lando wouldn’t get suspicious where you were.
You held the card against the door handle, and the red light turned green and you could enter the room with your box of cupcakes in hand. Lando was lying on the bed, chilling on his phone and probably answering birthday messages.
”Baby, I‘m back!“
He threw his phone to the side, ” Finally! I missed you“, he looked at your hand, ” What do you have in there?“
”I bought some cupcakes, so you could make a wish.“
”You didn’t need to do that.“
”Of course! I couldn’t bake you a cake, so I had to order one, or many small ones.“
You opened the box and grabbed the candle, sticking it in one of the neon yellow cupcakes, and lighting it with a lighter you found in your bag. You sat down on the bed next to him and started singing ’Happy Birthday‘while holding the tray of cupcakes in front of his face. His smile was big as he looked at you, he admired you. You went all out for his birthday, every year, he never knew how to give it all back, but he did.
”Make a wish!“
He closed his eyes and thought about something he could wish for, he had everything he needed, and he was happy with his life, so he made a wish and blew the candle out.
”Yey! Happy birthday my angel!“
”Thank you!“
You put the tray next to you and hugged him tight, before grabbing a cupcake for you and for him. At the same time, you both took a bite and let out a moan. It tasted like heaven, you couldn’t wait for the cake later.
You still had three hours until you had to be at the venue, so you enjoyed the quiet moment with Lando. Now all you had to do, was to get him to the party, you didn’t know how, but you were sure you would find a way.
”Do you want to go out later? Celebrate in a club or something?“
”I‘d rather stay in with you.“
Shit, you didn’t think he would say that.
”Are you sure? We could ask some of the boys to come with us, I met Oscar in the lobby and he said he would come.“
You didn’t meet him, you had to make up an excuse.
”Maybe, but I‘d like to have a chill night.“
”But I brought my partying outfit, it would be a waste not to put it on.“
”Baby, why are you so persistent with going to a club later?“
”Because it’s your birthday and I want to celebrate the shit out of you!“
He chuckled and hugged you.
”Okay, let’s go out tonight if we’re too drunk, we might get married in a chapel, I heard there is an f1 chapel this year.“
”Let’s start small, okay“, you laughed and went into his hair to tug at a few pieces.
So you both went and showered, getting ready for tonight, you put on your best outfit and Lando did the same, before ordering a cab to take you to the venue.
You got out of the car and stood in front of the club, you pulled on his hand and walked to the entrance of the club. It was dark and quiet when the bouncer let you in.
”Are you sure we are in the right club? I don’t think it’s supposed to be quiet.“
”That’s weird, but this club had good google ratings.“
”But you can’t always trust Google, baby.“
”Let’s go into the main room, maybe there’s something.“
So you pushed open the big door and came into another dark room, you grabbed Lando’s hand tight.
”HAPPY BIRTHDAY!“
Suddenly the light turned on and a lot of people jumped up and screamed to him. Clearly stunned, he tried to say something but just looked in between you and the people.
”Baby, what is that?“
”My last gift to you, a party with all your friends and family.“
He put his hand on your lower back and hugged you to his side while walking further into the room to greet everyone. Eventually, he had said hello to every friend and family member and the party could begin, the music started playing and no other than Martin Garrix stood behind the DJ console. Lando couldn’t believe that all of his family and friends were here only for him, he thanked you way too many times but he was just super happy. The first drinks were downed fast and the mood picked up, and at some point, Lando stood next to Martin and played his own set. Everyone was dancing and having a good time, you were happy that everything went smoothly and it all went as planned. The cake was cut shortly before midnight and his face lit up when he saw the big cake, it tasted as amazing as the cupcakes earlier. Lando kept coming to you to dance or try to dance, he wasn’t the greatest dancer, but with the alcohol flowing in his veins, he was able to do anything he wanted.
As the time went on, both of you got more drunk, like everyone else, and let’s just say, if it wasn’t for Max, both of you would’ve been married.

happy lando is 25 day! quarter of a century, cheers ears etc. what a wonderful day!!!
inspired ✨ to write some established relationship landoscar celebrating to celebrate lando becoming old and haggard (spoiler: he's not, he's just being dramatic, they're probably just blonde, right?)
Tumblr media
They’re granted a rare, extra day off for Lando’s birthday. Andrea takes Oscar to one side in the MTC, looking all sincere with a furrowed brow, and tells him he thinks it’ll be good, for Lando, for them, to have some time alone for his birthday after everything, lately. Oscar’s phone starts lighting up ten minutes later, notification after notification of his meetings getting cancelled for Wednesday, crossed through in his Google calendar.
Not that it can really be considered time alone. Lando’s playing golf with Max at 11, and they’re going to a restaurant in London tonight with his family.
Still, it has been nice, spending a couple of nights at the hotel together. It’s the kind of place they don’t really stay that often, grand in an old fashioned way, paint chipping off corners and daring you to complain when it’s all part of the character. Last night Oscar went for a swim, and the only other people in the pool were nearly triple his age. He had a great conversation with Mary, celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary, cooing over how nice a boy he is.
Lando’s got a special relationship with the girl on the front desk after she fixed the pizza disaster. He tells Oscar about it in a vague way that’d be pretty worrying, if he hadn’t been watching Max’s stream at the time, curled up in his bed in Monaco thinking he should’ve flown in a day earlier.
Lando’s in bed himself, right now, still snoring. Oscar’s managed to pull on a pair of joggers he doesn’t think are actually his to open the door to room service. He’d arranged breakfast direct with the kitchen, trying to bypass Lando’s card on file to sign for it himself. It’s not really a birthday surprise, after all, if you make the person celebrating pay for it.
“Thanks,” he whispers, relieved when he sees it’s Lando’s pizza girl. “Did you get the note about…”
“Mayonnaise?” Her smile as she says it makes something curl in Oscar’s stomach. The horrifying idea that anybody else but him knows Lando’s quirks, even when Oscar knows they’re on show for the world to see. Half of Twitter probably knows about the mayonnaise thing. “Yeah, we might have to get an extra delivery in if he keeps staying.”
Oscar smiles, laughs, even though inside he’s sort of plotting how he can get Lando barred from staying here ever again. They could buy somewhere, near the MTC, he reckons, with their salaries.
As soon as the thought comes, Oscar shakes it off.
It’s mad talk, wanting to buy a house with the guy you’ve been seeing for six months, even if you’ve known him longer, even if you spend most of your lives in each others pockets.
He notices the snoring has stopped when he starts wheeling the trolley into the main area of the suite. Oscar frowns. Silence is never a good sign, with Lando. It’s either the snuffling breaths of his sleep, the repetitive sounds of a game, or incessant talking. He’s been silent more, lately.
Oscar pops his head around the door to the bedroom. Lando’s laying on his back, frowning at something in his hand. For a second, Oscar thinks it’s his phone, that Lando’s back reading the bullshit people are writing about him again.
“Uh, hey,” Oscar says, then stops. Not exactly how you greet your boyfriend on his birthday. Even if he’d said it last night when the clocks flickered to midnight, buried deep inside Lando, kissing his neck and his shoulders as they both tried to stave off coming for a little bit longer. “Happy Birth-”
“Have you seen this?” Lando interrupts, sitting up abruptly, holding himself up on one elbow. He sticks his hand out in Oscar’s direction. “I’ve got fricken’ grey pubes.”
Alright, so not his phone then.
Oscar can’t help but laugh, one of the special ones he thinks he reserves pretty much only for Lando, collapsing a bit into his own chest with a huff, letting out the warm air that collects in his chest and has been whispering you love him for a good year now.
“Can’t say I noticed that one last night,” Oscar tells him, and Lando rolls his eyes, brandishing what Oscar now knows is a pubic hair in the air. “Alright fine, I’m coming, let me see.”
He climbs onto the bed, the joggers he’s now sure are Lando’s slipping further and further down his arse as he crawls. He kicks Lando’s legs apart so he can rest between them, and Lando automatically curls an ankle over his. It’s what they do when they can’t touch properly - in meetings, on planes, sitting in the back of cars in countries that’d kick them out or worse if they knew.
It’s been easier, since they told Andrea and Zak, since it’s gone from secret to just private, at least at work.
Oscar takes the pube from Lando, holding it up to the slither of light that’s coming in from where they’ve not quite closed the curtain.
Lando looks up at him a bit hopeful, like he’s desperate to be proven wrong. Happier to find out he’s colour blind to greyscale than being old.
Unfortunately, there’s no mistaking it. It’s definitely lighter than the rest.
“Ah, that does look a little grey, mate, yes.”
Lando groans, flopping down against the pillows, screwing his eyes shut.
“Might as well just die,” he says dramatically. Oscar sits back, sliding his hands onto Lando’s naked thighs, rubbing them, watching the muscles tense and getting a bit distracted by just how hot he is. It’s a better option, sometimes, than listening to him. “I’m fucking old. Do they even let old people drive? I’m gonna need a fucking pube transplant.”
Oscar snorts. Convenient that he’s forgotten about Fernando being nearly twenty years older than him.
“You don’t need a pube transplant,” Oscar says, using the sensible voice he puts on when he needs to explain something to Lando. He’s complained before it makes Oscar sound like a teacher, storming off into another room and coming back ten minutes later with a wicked glint in his eye and a potentially slightly illegal PornHub tab open in incognito. “They’re fine. Look…”
He slides his fingers into the tuft Lando’s got above the fat base of his dick. It’s pretty much the same consistency as his facial hair, which he’s absolutely forbidden to mention if he doesn’t want Lando getting the huff for a half hour.
“Very brown, completely normal for a 25 year old.”
Lando groans again.
“25 is so old, it’s halfway to fucking 50.” Lando grumbles. “Who’s even 50? Aren’t they all dead?”
“Mark’s nearly 50,” Oscar says, then cringes immediately, curling his fingers a bit too tight in Lando’s pubes. His head veers up, eyes a bit dark. Number one rule, no mentioning Mark when either of them is naked, it never ends well. “And er, our Dads? Andrea’s older than that too, and um… Zak.”
Lando screws his face up.
“Oscar, don’t mention Zak when you’re touching my dick, please.”
Despite the annoyance, there’s a hopefulness in the way he says it. Oscar is more than happy to oblige, if it gets him off the hook. He slides down the bed, and even though Lando hasn’t showered and still smells of sweat and come from last night, Oscar takes him into his mouth. He might not be able to play golf, but he can organise breakfast and give a mean blowjob, so he reckons he’s alright.
Lando’s easy for it, writhing and bucking his hips, and Oscar wants to make it good. Eases Lando’s hips up so he can slide deeper, feeling the press at the entrance to his throat.
After Lando comes, he starts choking, and Oscar has to push him back gently, come still coating his mouth. Lando’s really good at things like this, immediately sitting up to caress the back of Oscar’s head, looking worried. It’s one of the best parts about doing stuff with someone who’d never been with a bloke before Oscar, actually. He still finds the gross parts of sex vaguely horrifying.
“Are you alright?” Lando asks, and Oscar nods, pressing his fingers into his mouth and swiping around until he finds the culprit, dragging it out from his throat and holding it up.
They both look at it. Drenched in Oscar’s saliva, it’s darker than the first, but it’s still unmistakably grey.
“Don’t,” Lando warns, and Oscar nods, reaching his hand off the bed and flicking his fingers until it drops to the floor, someone else’s problem. “Fucking don’t.”
Oscar snorts, dropping his lips to the inside of Lando’s knee, kissing the soft hairless part that’s only for him. He nods to the door, and the trolley with the steaming plates of waffles, pancakes, and inexplicably, mayonnaise.
He smiles. It’s criminal, really, how much he likes Lando.
“Breakfast?”

Note
i feel like youre the only one who could understand my thoughts rn, hear me out: uni student who is having a hard time being motivated and is justt feeling overall down about school and such. THEN, lando comfort, just being there and being so comforting (this is not at all inspired by my life or anything...truth, ive been having such a shit week and i just know that this week is going to be bad too and i really need comfort, but am lacking in the friend/boyfriend department and my phone calls with my mom are simply not doing it for me anymore. okay enough with the venting.)
i definitely, 100% understand your situation. school is stressful and hard, especially when you’re feeling unmotivated. remember to give yourself breaks as needed, and my messages are always open if you need anything ❤️
‘feeling 22’ birthday sleepover
the sound of the front door opening sounded through the apartment before his voice did, "hey, baby."
you looked up from your laptop, smiling softly at him from the spot on the couch that you had realized you'd been at all day. the sun was beginning to set, peaking in through the curtains in the living room. he walked up behind the couch, wrapping his arms around you, leaning down and pressing a kiss to your cheek.
"it's five already?" you asked, glancing up at the time in the corner of your screen. sure enough, it was a little after five. you had quite literally been working on this final project all day.
he hummed, resting his head on top of yours, "mmhm," his nose absentmindedly nuzzled into the hair ontop of your head, taking in the smell of your shampoo, "have you been working on this all day?"
you nodded, sighing before pulling off your glasses, rubbing your eyes, "yeah and i feel like i've barely made a dent in it. i feel like no matter what i put, my professor isn't going to be impressed."
"he'd be an idiot not to be impressed with anything you do."
"yeah, but it needs to be perfect if i want to land that internship," you said, "and it's nowhere near perfect. no matter how hard i work i feel like it's not good enough and i just... i don't know what to do."
"take a break, baby," he said, "you've been at this all day. rest the rest of the night and have another go at it tomorrow or the next day. little by little."
you knew he had a point, but you sat there defeated as you tried to get yourself to close your laptop, "okay, yeah, just let me read it over one last time and then i'll be done for the night."
he nodded, "okay, just once though," he said, standing up again, "i have an idea, actually. i'll be right back,"
you nodded, letting him venture down the hallway and into your bedroom. he made quick work with his actions, gathering candles from your bedroom before placing them on the bathroom counter and lighting them. he started the faucet for the bath, making it the temperature he knew you liked before adding some of your body wash to the water.
once it was set up to his liking, he made his way back to the living room and you were still invested in the project on your laptop. he stood in front of you. gently closing the lid, which made you stop reading as you let out a soft sigh of defeat. there was no getting around it with him.
"c'mon," he smiled softly, reaching out and offering his hand for you to take. you placed your hand in his, rising from the couch as he led you down the hallway and to your bedroom.
"what're you up to?"
"nothing in particular," he smiled, and when you saw the bathroom you immediately almost broke down into tears. the candles dimly lit the room and a bath was drawn.
"lando," you gasped softly, his thoughtfulness making your heart flutter against your chest and reminding you why you fell in love with him in the first place.
he smiled, "you relax, i'll order us some food. how's that sound?"
you nodded as wrapped your arms around his neck, "have i ever told you how much i love you?"
he smiled, "once or twice, i can't quite put my finger on it though."
you laughed softly, pressing a soft kiss to his lips, "i love you."
"i love you more," he smiled.
you nodded in the direction of the tub, "how about you join me and then we order dinner?"
"i like the way you think."
